Speaker 2 (00:24):
Let's give this party.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Our number two on a trash Talking Tuesday. Don't forget
your chance to trash anyone anything in the world of
sports that's coming up in about forty minutes or so,
so you'll be able to chime in on that. Rob
Parker kelvin Washington, and we're broadcasting live from the tierrach
dot com studios. Tierrach dot com will help you get there,
(00:53):
an unmatched selection, fast read shipping, free road has a
protection and over ten thousand recom mended installers. You heard
me right, tyrerech dot com. The way tire buying should be.
We'll do some baseball talking about twenty eight minutes with
Molly Knight, author and distributor of The Long Game newsletter.
(01:13):
So we'll talk some baseball in case you're just joining US.
Yankees lead one nothing going to the top of the second.
That's the only baseball game the Dodgers and Mets will
play tomorrow night in crist New York at City Field, YEP,
with the series tied one one.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Kelvin, let's go here, oh boy.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
And we've talked about I've talked about Jerry Jones for
a long time. He runs the Dallas Cowboys like a
mom and pop store. That's why they haven't been to
a league championship game in thirty years. And you know,
when Jimmy Johnson was there, they were a dynasty, and
I know they won three out of four and all
that stuff. I know Barry Switzer won one of them,
but it was Jimmy's teamy. That was all Jimmy, right,
(01:56):
and that was it. That was the last time the
Cowboys were able to do anything. And that's what Jerry
took over. I'm gonna be the general manager. I'm gonna
make all the decisions, all this other stuff. And one
of the things we you know, on this show, we've
talked about for a long time, is Jerry just he
can't help himself. You want to be the owner, you
want to be the GM, the team president, you want
(02:16):
to have a radio talk show and be on every week,
and you can't, uh, just you just got to hear
yourself talk. So today, you know, coming off of four
straight blowouts in Dallas, not on the road in Dallas,
what it been being And they've been getting annihilated, right,
they won sixteen games in a row in Dallas. They
(02:39):
always played well, it was going away that they struggle.
But now they can't even win in Dallas and their
season is on the brink.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
So he goes on the what is that the fan
in Detroit? I mean in Dallas the fan and one
oh five three?
Speaker 1 (02:55):
And he's been doing this right, and he don't like
the line of questioning to day of all days and
basically threatens one of the hosts that maybe they need
to replace him or go do something else. Listen to
Jerry Jones on the radio, This.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
Is not your job. Your job is to let league
go over all the reasons that I did something and
I'm sorry that I did it. That's not your job. Well,
my job is asking one job, or I'll get another.
I'll get somebody else to ask these questions.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
Man, And Joe's on.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
She got something else? What else?
Speaker 4 (03:29):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (03:29):
This is what makes it even worse. Okay, so that
the owner's meetings right now, right as you guys know.
That's how Tom Brady got confirmed as the minority on
Earth the radiwa.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Combat right, but Dana received does a great job, body
cheat to get the minority.
Speaker 7 (03:43):
I'm sorry, you're gonna even load the man as an owner.
You're gonna load the man as an owner. But Dana received.
Speaker 6 (03:48):
One of the few reporters out there nationally who is
not really beholden to agents. She kind of does her
own digging. She asked Jerry Jones directly about this situation.
Here's what he said to her hours after this intervie
you when it all became a big media firestorm. The
facts are that I'm going to be grilled by this tribunal.
I don't need to be by the guys I'm paying
(04:09):
the wrong ones were doing the questioning. Now, if those
had been real fans sitting there, are there people that
knew what they were talking about, football people, I may
have had a different answer.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
So first of.
Speaker 7 (04:19):
All, he's saying, hey, just because I pay your bills,
you know, allegedly, I don't even know how that all
works out?
Speaker 1 (04:25):
What over, But you need I think he has part
ownership of the radio stakes, right, ROGI isn't it put ownership?
Speaker 7 (04:31):
He didn't ask him, how do you and your wife?
Blah blah blah.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
He asked some very simple things. Do you feel like
you made enough moves?
Speaker 7 (04:37):
Do you feel like you know your team's made the
right decisions when it comes to getting personnel? Like that's
a normal question. Now, you didn't ask him anything off
off color in the off beating and going to his
personal life. He literally asked him about, Hey, you're going
up against teams. Did you make the right moves?
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Is this?
Speaker 7 (04:53):
Do you guys make all the right decisions you needed
to make? By the way, he's asking the person who
will not relieve themselves, U, you can just be the
owner Jerry Jones and just sit up top own obviously,
make a few decisions, come down, talk to people, see
what's going on. But you make sure your face is
and everything you have a saying everything. What did he
say a few weeks back, I'm the reason everything comes
(05:15):
here to buck stops for me. There's nothing that happens
without me knowing. You put your son in front of
and personnel as well when we know all he's gonna do.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Defer is defer to dad.
Speaker 7 (05:24):
So it's like, what was wrong with him hasking a
question to the person who actually does the decision making.
That's not a far fetched idea. I'm gonna ask the
person who does if you go to a rest or, hey, chef,
you made this food, right, I'm talking to chef, you
cook this food. So to me, that's not a crazier
asonine idea that they would ask him this, any idea
that just because you asked me, now I might get
somebody else to replace you. And who's gonna toss me
(05:46):
easy softball questions when you volunteer to come on every
week for the last twenty years. I just I just
don't get it. I just genuinely don't get it. And
it shows me. Yeah, he is more frustrated Rob Parker
with this team than he's usually let so on. Usually
he comes back, he'll say some things here or there.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
But he's won.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Thirteen games in a row of thirteen games, right the
last three years?
Speaker 7 (06:07):
Twelve ye three year, you get my points.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
So the last couple of years, even though they haven't
gotten any success in the playoffs, he's going on there
with his chest stuck out right, my.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Team's winning twelve games a year. Blah blah blah blah.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
You can say whatever you want, you know what I mean,
I'm making money all this stuff. Look look at the
place at and T Stadium. But now this is the time,
Like it's bad, Like he can't hide behind that. This
team don't look like it's gonna win twelve games. They're
getting blown out at home where they used to have
a monopoly on winning there all that kind of stuff.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
But this is why Jerry's.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Part of the problem is that, uh, he doesn't want
to He doesn't want to have any accountability because the
questions that the guy's asking them, all right, especially the
first sight. Everybody they didn't make the moves last year,
but everybody said that a terrible off season. They didn't
the din't go get a running back. What they do
bring Ezekiel Elliott back right for no money. Basically, I
(07:05):
think Ezekiel's paying them to play for the couch will
to be home, Right, That's how bad it is. So
there's like all these bad things going on, and now
Jerry's being pressed and the first thing you do is
to kill the messenger.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
This is like the oldest trick.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
This is why I have an issue and a pushback
when it comes to the quote unquote new media. What
they want in life is they want to be able
to be on ask their own questions that don't compromise
them or hold them accountable by people who they are
comfortable with. That's why I pushed back on the like
(07:40):
the Draymond Greens and all these guys.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
And and and Gilbert A.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Reenis and all these guys acting like that they're breaking
some news. Most of the time they're compromised. They're in
bed with everybody. Tiki barber is on the radio in
New York. He won't bash the Giants. You know why
because he played for the Giants. He wants to sit
in the owners owner Swede. He wants to goodie bag
every Christmas. I'm telling you so you're not gonna be
(08:09):
able to get the real stuff when people are compromised.
I'm telling you fans out there listening, you gotta be
careful with who you're listening to and why they're coming
at you with this stuff because most of them are compromised.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Most of them can't be honest with you.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
That's why you come to us and Fox Sports radio
in places like that where they've.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Never I've been on the radio for thirty years.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
I've never been handled a sheet of paper and told
don't say this or don't say that. Ever, I've never
never been done. But this is what Jerry. That's why
Jerry is he somebody didn't get the email exactly. He
he didn't get the email. Hey I'm coming in, but
don't ask me this. Hey I'm coming in.
Speaker 7 (08:52):
Don't say come on the radio if you're not gonna
answer questions.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Just what's the point of me to me?
Speaker 7 (08:58):
You gotta own when you are going out of your
way to handle and do things differently. What I mean
is most owners divvy up the responsibilities, right, Hey, you
do this, you're gonna be GM. You're gonna be the
coach over there, you're gonna be my scout. Well, when
you're trying to hold all of these different hats, wear
all these different hats, and hold control of these different
arenas and areas, then well I got to ask somebody,
(09:21):
and it has to be you, because you're responsible for this.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
You've taken ownership for this.
Speaker 7 (09:25):
So now if I want to ask these difficult questions,
it has to be you and don't come in there
mad at a radio guy, a lowly radio guy, when
you're really mad.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
At your team, don't go in there mad.
Speaker 7 (09:36):
At the lowly radio guy, the lesser of guys, who's
probably making He made no one hundred thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
He made no decision, and you're mad at him.
Speaker 7 (09:43):
No, you're mad at Mike McCarthy for not having your
guys prepared. You're mad at your guys for not performing
and playing what did You're mad that you gave out
DAK plus one hundred million dollars between he and CD.
You know you're mad at that. You're mad that you're
looking at your investment like, oh wee am I gonna
get this return on what's the ROI on this?
Speaker 2 (10:00):
That's what you're mad at.
Speaker 7 (10:01):
And you, Michael Jackson, right now, somebody needs to put
the mirror up and tell him he's looking at the
man in the mirror and stop yelling at some lonely
radio dude is doing his things, just doing the job,
asking very valid questions.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
And this is the thing that just drives me crazy.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
I just don't I don't get it's.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Always doubled down to Ryan.
Speaker 7 (10:19):
He doubled down too he was like, oo, a matter
of fact, is what I'm saying. I expected from over there,
but not my own.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
That's kind.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
And then to say, like this guy, they do a
radio show in Dallas.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
What what they make it? This is the thing that
kills me.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
I might not be a football coach, but I watched
football for a long time, and I'm not saying I
know the ex and old like, but it ain't brain surgery.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
I can't.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
I can't do brain surgery tomorrow, right, we'll scrub up
and cut somebody open and do brain surgery. But I
could watch a football game and go, that's a bad play.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
That's what.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Henry exactly, Or I wouldn't you call time out here
with the clock ticking down? Like I could do that.
It ain't that hard. They make it like you don't
know football because you didn't play or you didn't play
at that level. And every time I hear that, right, oh, well,
you didn't play in the NFL, I said, that's funny.
Bill Belichick didn't play in the NFL either. Andy Weed
didn't play in the NFL. I could go on and
(11:15):
on and on, and they know football, right, So you
don't have to exactly play to understand the game. That's all.
That's my point. I'm not saying you're a football coach
or on that level. But it ain't brain surgery or not.
Speaker 7 (11:28):
To just mention something right because y'all getting blown out
forty whatever to nine or the six.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I mean, so clearly something right right.
Speaker 7 (11:34):
I don't have to be a rocket scientist or a
former coach to know that that something's not right. Your
offense isn't clicking, and I'm producing right now, so I don't.
Again I've already said, I just thought that was pretty
weak to go at a guy who has a very
very appropriate question about a team that is playing in
performing poorly. I don't see what the issue was with that,
and that had doubled down as if now I got
(11:55):
to fire this guy because of that. I thought that
was pretty weak from a guy who's very powerful and
he really doesn't need to do all that.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
He don't need to say anything to flex his muscles
and tell yousary for a dude, go get somebody else
who will as the right question. You don't even know
what you're talking about. Well, Jerry, if that's the case,
why are you on weekly? You chose this is what
you want to do, Jerry you every week.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
I had the same thing.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Me and Rick Barry had a big fight on the
radio when I first started on Fox Sports Radio. He
was doing that same thing. He played in the league,
so obviously I can't tell him anything. So I told him, well,
what are you doing on the radio. You don't know
the radio, you don't know journalism. So so I always
say that to players whenever they underhand shooting free throws.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yeah, like, yeah, oh Rick, all right, now, gonna know,
if we were in the same room, I would have
kicked his cane from underneath them.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (12:43):
So now, all right, rober Gie, Now I know when
we go to New Orleans or if we go to
the NBA All Star I need to know who to
look out. So right now, Draymond Green because he Rudy
goberro headlot coming and then uh and now Rick Barry
might might.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Smack you up with you with his cane. That's all right,
Cheryl swoops, we can so right, what did I say
to her? I'm just doing all idiot matter of fact.
Speaker 7 (13:03):
After the show, Yeah, Rob, I need to know it'll
be categorized because listen, listen, man, listen, it's been it's
been a month now, it's been a month of me
being I'm starting to get associated with the show. I
need to know in the streets, people go, I'm looking
at it. It's already squeamed couple Draymond from Michigan. I
walk up to Joe, What up, Dre? What I baby
(13:24):
got getting smacked up? I need to know what's coming.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
Man, See he already, he ain't squirming, He's supposed to
take my say, I got your back.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
I just need to know already on social media.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Oh they got me lumped in with your so I
g they hit me up gold crack, what's up?
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Go get your boy? Listen, go get your boy. Oh yeah,
oh no, I'm gonna roast you a little bit.
Speaker 7 (13:43):
However, listen, if we're in the streets, I got your back.
I'm just built like that, you know, if we got
to He just wants to know before he gets it.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
I need to know people.
Speaker 7 (13:52):
Yeah, I just need to know before I'm dapping up,
hugging up people and then they swing on me and
I'm like, why didn't anybody tell me? Like the Centric entertainers,
why did anybody tell me so I just need to
know on the list of the beef liss Rogie, send
that to me by Friday.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
Here we go to Juts and the Bills have left
another AFC powerhouse holding the bag.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
We'll get into that next.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
It is the Odd Couple that's right right here on

Speaker 7 (14:16):

so you can start calling the lineup now we'll be
doing that and about trash Man. That's right, eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox eighty seven seven nine nine
six sixty three sixty nine. And here, let we're gonna
talk about the Chiefs right here, and we should say
real quick now the baseball game.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
You gotta tell them Yankees are leading the Guardians.
Speaker 8 (15:33):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
And the Guardian just did something that you wouldn't have
imagined them doing a week two weeks. So it was
second and third with one out, they intentionally walked. I
don't know who was up because I've lost track of who,
and I think they intentionally walked.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
The guy had so that they could pitch to Aaron
Judge and then they made a pitch and change.
Speaker 7 (15:54):
So they have bases loaded, two outs with Aaron Judges
one out. They're looking for a double play. Want wait,
want Aaron Judge of that's it all right? So this
he's got to get it either a double or home
a grand slam here right, because I mean it's a disrespect.
This is this is disrespect. This is disrespect. This is
like they're like, who's up now?
Speaker 4 (16:13):
Cool?
Speaker 7 (16:14):
Yeah, get him that throwing at it. So that's why
they walk And I get it. I mean, yeah, well
when you put it that way, But I'm still saying, like,
it's like pick your poison, like poison right now that
two weeks ago round, Yeah, pick your poison.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
I was with you, but you might hear right now.
One is definitely honey, here's the part.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Here's the part though, that that you could is you
could actually ignite him off of this.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Do you know what I'm saying? Like, I love it
when I find out who your guys are.
Speaker 9 (16:44):
What.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
No, but you could ignite him if he gets a
hit here. I haven't known you for a long you
could ignite him. I don't think I've ever heard you
say someone could get ignited.
Speaker 6 (16:54):
It is not like the future of Rob's website has
anything to do with this.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
That back coming up? What about what website is talking about?
Speaker 7 (17:01):
Because of that, now, I'm rooting for him just because
I want you to be I'm kind of hoping for
a strikeout looking at it and I just I kind
of wanted to go back.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
To Rob Roger. Look at my eye winking. Yeah, I'm
rooting for the count is one and two.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
And if he strikes out here, people are gonna be
mad in New York that that you are people.
Speaker 7 (17:21):
You're the people who goes down? Does he go down?
And Mookie bets going.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
I got the run. That's all he had to do.
That's not all he had to do. As long as
her name would have hit that out, he could strike
out in that part. That's all. That's what I agree
with them. You can't strike out. But let's just talk
about the chiefs.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Change it wels three nothing, I don't I don't know
what else to talk about. Let's talk about the chiefs.
Uh and and this is just the thing. We just
saw two big receivers get traded, and the Chiefs are
desperate for receivers.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
What are they doing? Why are they resting on their laurels?
Speaker 1 (17:56):
They were automatically out on the DeVante Adams like in
the beginning, like, no, too much money, We're not interested
at all.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Cooper, what was he traded for, Rob Giau?
Speaker 6 (18:05):
I think it was a third round pick thirty was
basically a third and then the excuse is for the
Chiefs was we're not in under Vontae Addams. We're having
the money like the cass is not possible for us.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
We just can't do it.
Speaker 6 (18:17):
Maari Cooper had restructured his contract thousand dollars. Every team
can make ninety thousand. And this is the thing I
don't understand.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
If you're the Chiefs, you got a chance to do
something that nobody's done, which has win three in a row.
So why wouldn't you be all in on that? Even
if you never win again. Andy Weed is like ninety
years old. How long is he gonna be like, like seriously,
like you're not going this is going to end sooner
than later.
Speaker 7 (18:44):
He agree with that, No, I don't agree with that.
I think as long as you're Patrick Mahomes, you got
a chance because you know what this is what people
don't remember.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
And I'm gonna say this, Okay, if you don't be
damn mano, I'll give you a better way. Tom Brady
in between super Bowls nine years, so it happened, is
what I'm saying. Even he won three, he went nine
years without winning and the Yeah, but I'm just saying
the Patriots and then to go with the Bucks. No,
but I'm talking about the word nine years, that's all.
Speaker 7 (19:11):
I agree that it's not a guaranteed like meaning that
you'll win every year every couple of years. But I think,
you know what I think they're doing. I think the
trouble is they've had success with whoever.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 7 (19:22):
So we had success with Tyree, We've had success without Tyree.
We've had success with Rice, now Rice is out. We've
had success with so Juju smith S, Smith's Juju Smith's
Shuster was.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Here, he leaves, he's back.
Speaker 7 (19:37):
Like I think, in their mind, this is the we,
the philosophy, the system that we had, the program, it
works regardless of who's here.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
And I think there's that.
Speaker 7 (19:47):
But I will keep an eye out for one person,
Mike Williams, who is responsible for a couple of interceptions
that Aaron Rodgers has called him out publicly about not
happy with him not running the right rout and not
doing the right thing was supposed to be.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
He's only on a one year deal there worth.
Speaker 7 (20:04):
I think ten mil, big player, very talented, had a
lot of success with the Chargers. I'm wondering if Mike
Williams is a guy, because now you have too many
receivers in the receiving room for the Jets. I wouldn't
be shocked if Mike Williams gets released or they basically say,
give us anything, give us a twelfth round draft pick
doesn't even exist, and we'll give them to you.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
I keep Mike Williams on your radar for the Chiefs.
Speaker 7 (20:26):
I'm wondering if he goes there and all of a
sudden he ends up with six touchdowns at the end
of the year, five hundred yards, You're like, man, what
a great pickup. So Mike Williams is somebody I would
keep an eye on with the Chiefs. But I think
they've had success with whomever, without whomever, and I think
they're kind of like, this is what we do.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
We're fine, especially with that defense. I still think they're crazy.
They have got too many injuries and too many big
time injuries. You're running just start running back your number
one receivers. I'm just saying, that's a lot. That's a lot,
But I think that's what they go through. Look and
we're still winning. Imagine when they come back. That's what
I'm They're not coming back this year, is what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (21:01):
Guys, you want to know how bad things are in
Kansas City right now with their wide supert position in
a what is it A A move that comes in
partnership with Imari Cooper trade the Buffalo Bills about two
hours ago released Marquez Valdez Scandling, and all the scuttle
butt around Kansas City is let's bring him home.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
He's an upgrade over some of the other guys we got.
Speaker 6 (21:21):
Yeah, it is bad, ah, dude, But I mean, my
man's hands were dipped in butter before he signed that contract.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
And he signed a contract right he had thought, Man,
he was gonna be something.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
Memberies in Green Bat I do remember he was in.
He's real fast, he is.
Speaker 7 (21:36):
That's all they got. Yeah, they're gonna probably stand back,
but I keep an eye on Mike Williams. That would
be my guest. Hey, Miley Knight is gonna join us
here in just a second. Author distributor of The Long

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Appreciate you joining us, Molly Molly.
Speaker 9 (22:16):
Hey, thanks for having me. I'm just watching this Yankees
Guardians game. Like you guys, I believe they just intentionally
walked one Soto to get to Aaron Judge and it
kind of worked out.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
That's a conversation.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
We were just happy, did I mean, Judge at least
got the RBI, but it was that's something that you
would not see normally, even with a Wan Soto.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
It was pretty amazing, but Judges struggled. Well, you go ahead,
I'm sorry talk about his struggles.
Speaker 9 (22:41):
Well, we just saw this happened in LA when when
the Dodgers intentionally walked Francisco Into or toload the bases
and Mark Friento's, the twenty four year old second year player,
took it personally and hit a grand slam. And so
you know, it's a small sample size, but the Into's
did with the Yankee fans. The judge could do in
that situation.
Speaker 5 (23:01):
For sure, you know.
Speaker 7 (23:02):
Just you bring up the last three times someone was
intentionally walked to load the bases and it was a
Grand Slam. All three been with the Dave Roberts Dodgers.
So that's yeah, that's yeahs interesting. I saw that earlier.
I was going to ask you about Molly. We've seen
thirty three shut out innings. We saw that, I should say,
leading up to the previous game, Game two with the Dodgers,
the bullpen and Rob and I have had conversations about
(23:23):
we all know the struggles and the just the injuries
of the staff for the Dodgers.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Can they continue this?
Speaker 7 (23:31):
Can these bullpen games or getting a lot of innings
out of their bullpen goal lead them all the way
through and maybe even to a World Series win?
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Is that even possible?
Speaker 9 (23:39):
Well, that's a very good question. Looks like a very
different bullpen game than the one that they threw against
the Padres in Game four of NLDS. Look, they're going
to New York tomorrow. They're going to start Walker Bueller,
who's diminished after his two major arm surgeries, but he's
got the game experience and that help game five a
(24:00):
role with Yamamoto, who was not good in Game one
of the NLDS but spectacular in Game five of the NLDS,
and then they could turn to Flarty again in Game
five day. Roberts today said that that's sort of the plan,
but they're going to see what happens over the next
couple of days if they want to do that. So yeah,
we'll see. I guess they wouldn't need to do a
bullpen in the game until Game six. We'll see if
(24:23):
that happens again.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
It's I just don't think there isn't enough pitching to
be win because it's a seven game series here, and
then you'd have another seven game series in the World Series,
and that's the problem. And even then, like like Molly
helped me with this, because I don't understand h Walker
Buler should have pitched on his regular road rest day,
(24:46):
which would have been in Game two. They hold him
back to pitch him game three in New York and
he just hasn't pitched. Well, wouldn't you be rather trying
to win Game two at home with Walker Buehler and
then pitch a bullpen game in Game three in New York?
Speaker 9 (25:01):
Yeah, I mean I probably would have done that. I
can see the argument against their thinking. Okay, if we
do like a straight up bullpen game in Game three,
that's the first day of three games in a row
with no off day, and so that's like you just
don't want to burn your pen in that situation. However,
I really kind of don't understand yesterday why they didn't
(25:23):
use some of their high leverage guys because the game
was closed. I mean, it was still like a three
run lead for the Mets, and they could have brought
in some of their dudes because they had they did
not pitch on Saturday in Game one and then they
had to day off.
Speaker 10 (25:38):
I would have been more.
Speaker 9 (25:39):
Aggressive, but I guess they they mapped it all out.
People want to blame Dave Roberts, and I've been I've
been critical to him in the past, but that's a
front office decision to bring in landon that. I mean,
they mapped that out before the game, So I guess
they kind of punted yesterday. We'll see what happens.
Speaker 7 (25:54):
Yeah, they often, as you know, map all this stuff
on already and they kind of, you know, restrict the
power of these managers nowadays. Molly Knight, author distributor of
The Long Game newsletter, again Molly underscore Night on X
on Twitter, joining us what are you saying?
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Yeah, I want to ask her. I want to ask
you about the Guardians.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
People like they have a good team.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Okay, they had a good regular season or whatever, but
they really struggled against the Tigers.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
I mean like they almost didn't come out of that.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
The Tigers were four for fifty six with runners the
scoring position, they were using bullpen game they the Guardian
got shut out twice. You know, like, are they going
to put up a fight here or or not? Against
the Yankees? And I know it's it's still early, you know,
it's it's it's three nothing. You know, when they lost
Game one? Is there a fight here?
Speaker 10 (26:46):
Like?
Speaker 2 (26:46):
Is this a series or not?
Speaker 10 (26:48):
Well?
Speaker 9 (26:49):
I just watched Cose Ramirez, their best player, fly out
with two of them as a tying run. He just
got under a pitching Derek Cale. He could have hit
out and tied it. He's been strung a little bit
in this series. You're gonna have to step it up.
Speaker 11 (27:02):
But you're right, they don't have the pitching.
Speaker 9 (27:04):
They're pitching situations.
Speaker 12 (27:06):
Frankly, worse than the Dodgers.
Speaker 9 (27:08):
And so I don't know what they're going to do. Yes,
Judge has been scuffling, but Soto and Stanton have been
crushing the ball. So I don't know that the Guardians
have that much of a choice. I mean they are
much of a choice in who they throw or what
they do. I think the Yankees are going to win
this series, and frankly, this is the easiest path they've
had in ten fifteen years because they don't have to
(27:31):
face the Astros or the Rays or the Red Sox
or any of these teams that have given them problems
in the past. So if they don't make it, I mean,
people in New York are going to be so mad.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
So they don't make it.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
So it was a major collapse because you know, I'm
with you, there's no way that they shouldn't make it
to the world.
Speaker 2 (27:47):
So I set up for them to make it.
Speaker 7 (27:48):
And let me to my next question of if you're
Rob Manfer and you're watching this, you're loving it because
I could potentially have Dodgers and Yankees.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
But that's what is that? What they want? Are they
what they want?
Speaker 7 (27:59):
The the I don't know the Subway series would you
want the Coast to Coast series?
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Which one do they want? If you're Rob.
Speaker 9 (28:06):
Manfred, either eater would be a dream, honestly, So.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Sorry, Cleveland, you have no part in this. Cleveland, get
out of here.
Speaker 9 (28:14):
I guess, I mean, I guess it probably would. I
mean I'd want in the World Series against Judge. I guess.
But a Subway series would be would be just electric
and they'd be so happy. And so many of their
employees live in New York, and I met Yankees, so
they'd be thrilled.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
But but the West Coast, the Dodgers, the Yankee and
it hasn't happened since nineteen eighty one, so that would
make it why people haven't seen it generate a generation
of kids my year?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
That would be interesting.
Speaker 7 (28:46):
If you Rob, you'd have to, like, we have to
take us to New York and hang out and go
to I just have to be careful of.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
The pizza eating rats, pizza retro mother. This guy grew
up born and raised in New York.
Speaker 7 (28:57):
Earlier today, we had the conversation because of the snake
and the dugout with the dog. I said, what are
you afraid of? He said, Rats? How are you afraid
of rats. He grew up Molly Knight so.
Speaker 9 (29:06):
Scared that they were going to come back yesterday and
that the rally Snake was going to become a thing.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
It's still Mike. They got a few runs, Molly, It's
still Mike.
Speaker 11 (29:16):
I know.
Speaker 7 (29:16):
Molly Knight, thank you so much for joining us. We
appreciate it anytime, all right. I don't know, Molly, I
don't know. She might get her wiz or well she
I know she didn't want it, but that might become
a thing.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
All right, here we go.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Let's start with Chris in Vegas. You're in the couple
of Fox Sports waiting. Who you trashing?
Speaker 4 (30:48):
Chris?
Speaker 5 (30:50):
I'm trashing Aaron Rodgers. I mean, they've had a lot
of respect for him, but after hearing him blame everybody else?
Sure that lost in the games? No, I thought, that's disappointed.
Speaker 7 (31:04):
I appreciate the thank you, appreciate it. Just yeah, I
get it what he's saying. My gosh, Aaron Rogers a lot.
I'm just I'm aired out. And one of you are
only a quarter of the way through season. I'm tired already.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
What about Andrew in Bakersfield, California. You're on the couple
of fox bout you ready?
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Who you get your ass? And Drew?
Speaker 5 (31:20):
All right, I got props for Rob. You're uh funny,
honest and respectful.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
My trash is unlike you, Kelvin.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
That was it.
Speaker 7 (31:32):
You gotta at least be funny. Andrew, Come on, Andrew, Andrew,
I'm disappointed. I'm ready like, oh, he's about to lie
into me and unlike unlike you. Kel First of all,
first of all, this is how I know that was
one of your interns.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
What are you talking about?
Speaker 7 (31:45):
Because he said you're funny, yah, and then he said
you're respectful?
Speaker 2 (31:49):
What like that was? What's now? Funny? Okay, I get it.
Speaker 7 (31:54):
You get your little late ninety, a little stand up
the every nine and again funny air, respectful Rob Parker.
I needed to get too far. That's how I know
Andrew was an intern of yours. And Andrew, if you give.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Me some more smoke trash talking, we're not supposed to respond.
We'll allow the callers to have their say.
Speaker 7 (32:12):
The listeners thank you, thank you, because the first six
seconds might say something hold on, hold on, you don't
like the podcast because you listen to that's what you are.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
I never do that.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
I know how this work, game works. I can't stand
you sometimes.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Josh in Arizona. You're on the couple of Fox sportating
who you're trashing.
Speaker 7 (32:30):
Josh.
Speaker 8 (32:33):
Man, I'm trashing. Lebron James comments a week ago saying
he ain't got nothing to prove. We all know he's
not to go. If you think he proved that to himself,
that's good for him. But he got something to prove
to the Los Angeles Lakers real quick. The first two
years we had losing seasons and we didn't make the
playoffs with and won Lebron James, and he got Luke
(32:56):
Walton fired. The next season, he got a top five player,
They had a Bubble championship, three months layoffs, no travel,
no fans, guys didn't want to be there, beat up
on the Miami Heat team that didn't have this leading score, lead,
leading reboundar shot blocker for majority of the finals, and
a bunch of rookies, and then came out of that
(33:18):
to barely make the playoffs, to get gentlemen swept by
the Sun and then came otter that to I don't
think he made the playoffs, got Vogo fire, then he
got then he went and h I think he went
to the barely got in, went to the Western Conference
finals to get swept by Jokic, gets to.
Speaker 11 (33:34):
Come back the following year to get swept again in
the first round by Jokis, barely making the playoffs and
got Ham fired. He has a lot to prove to
the Los Angeles Lakers, and I'm done with that.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
There you got.
Speaker 7 (33:47):
That is trashing, Hey, brew step your game up a
Fernando in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
You're on the couple of Fox Sports. Ready, who you're trashing, Fernando.
Speaker 12 (33:56):
I'm trashing Steve Hartman and Monty Bolonios. Those two characters
are the worst on radio.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
Well, you can't do our girl Manti like that.
Speaker 12 (34:05):
Steve Hey, Hey, be wishing time. Buddy Hartman nineteen eighty
three and We're all was with the Raiders and then
I went to East LA.
Speaker 13 (34:13):
Who cares?
Speaker 12 (34:14):
We don't care? And Monsy Harmon's corny jokes are always funny.
She's always a ha have everything harms A has not
that funny months monsynials ever, great day, guys, My goodness good.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
I'm convinced your paintings. But there's no way, no way, right.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
It just tells you that our radio show is authentic
because we don't stop people.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
We're allowed to try to get trash anybody.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
I guess say, anybody even knowsh Austin trash our teammates,
anybody Robed g Right.
Speaker 7 (34:44):
We can't stop. But I'll tell you what the good
thing is. We know they listened because he hit me
with the true Steve Harvey. That's what jeopardy and he said,
I would have said, who is Steve Hartment? You know
in nineteen eighty three, yeah, with the Raiders. So for example,
if I want to say I want to trash out
in Washington for having a caller call in and trash
Monzi and Steve, and all you say is, how are you.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Gonna trash mat girl Manzi? Nothing about Steve.
Speaker 6 (35:09):
I'm delan Steve take this the arrows right to the
middle of the chances.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Because it would only say it is what about Monzy?
Because it was too accurate. You know, it's too accurate, right,
you know in nineteen you know, in nineteen eighty three,
I thought Steve called in. I was like Steve, all right.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Matt in Los Angeles, you're on the couple of Fox
Sports Radio.
Speaker 10 (35:29):
What's up, Matt, Hey, I'm trashing all the directors of
the football baseball games on TV. I'll come whenever there's
a good play, something happens. Instead of showing the aftermath
the players reactions the sidelines, they cut to the crowd
and someone looking into the camera pounding the side of
the thing, holding up a stupid D and a fence sign.
(35:52):
It's so formulaic. I want to know what's happening, and
I want to see these people just going yeah, yeah, yeah,
holding up their fingers.
Speaker 5 (35:58):
Ridiculous that where you work?
Speaker 10 (36:00):
I met, Well, it's all of them, unfortunately.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
See I News.
Speaker 7 (36:06):
I know, okay, giving me some technical well Matt was
giving me like he was like he is a director,
you know, works with a TV crew, so like he
knew all the dynamics of it, that what goes into it.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
All, Right, do we have time to squeeze in with Mace?
Mace real quick, San Diego. You're on the couple of
Fox boys. Ready, who you trashing?
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Mace? You got thirty seconds.
Speaker 13 (36:25):
I'm trashing all mainstream sports media for not doing their
due diligence and pointing out that San Diego is unequivocally
the most curse city in sports. The pusts luting the
Dodgers was a never failure for my city. San Diego
has no championships with any professional sport. I think you
didn't realize that because garbage networks like ESPN don't give
a crap about my city. It's absolute BROADLESSI Era mainStreet
worse media doesn't cover this. Here's a a just in ESPN,
(36:47):
the CNN of sports fake news needs a cleanhouse and
all commentators and hard people that are more reputable, starting
with the two worst employees, the two worst sports analysts
and the history of sports, the two Milk Karns and
Tonia Korneiser.
Speaker 11 (36:58):
And Michelle will On.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Wow, all right, all right, there you go, trash talking
Tuesday for this edition.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Yeah, some of it was a little was coming in
a little angry. It's all good, all right, our number three.
What's gotta come?
Speaker 5 (37:16):
No week?
Speaker 2 (37:16):
That or both? That is the question. Rob Parker Kevin
auston Fox Sports Radio. Giggle, little gig up.
