So congrats. A lot of stuff going on. Oh life
from here. It kind of feels like from here on out,
like everything picks up.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
You know, is this going on? This is going on, March,
Madden is going on, and baseball's backing. It's gonna be crazy.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Rob G. Can you talk about the swapping that's going on?

Speaker 5 (02:50):
Right?

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:52):
I don't want to get in trumple'll get ahead of
yourself yet. But well, Justin Fields had to nerve the
audacity to talk about he won going back to the
Steelers unless they guaranteed him a starting job.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Talk about mitigated what is it? The gall Yeah, mitigated goal?
I already say, gol, rob G. What was that all about?
Is that the report out there?

Speaker 6 (03:15):
That is the report of the the Another report is
the streets are saying there's a swingers party going on,
Jets and the Steelers. They're just swapping quarterbacks allegedly. Now
we already know you mentioned it. Justin Fields is the
new man in Gang Green?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Do you know I want to say this real quick.
You know that there were Yankees in the seventies who
did the wife swap?

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Did you know that original? Remember that TV? Original? But
it's it happened the Yankees.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
There were two players on the team, they're both and
they swipe Watt.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
I was just there's some curries, some stuff too crazy, jeez, Louise.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
Yeah, ain't making it six years Steve Steve four and
a half over under four and a half hour. I'm
he said, under some people you know, but you guys
mentioned it. Okay, Justin Fields, new man in New York,
two years, forty million, thirty million guaranteed, which is a
lot when you consider reality here, k dub Justin Fields

(04:13):
is not much of a passer, to put it mildly, okay.
Through six games as a starter last year, his QBR
was fifty four. That was twenty at the Mongol Quarterbacks.
He threw for fewer one hundred and fifty yards to
completed fewer than sixty percent of his passes. In his
last two weeks as a starter when he was the
quarterback in Pittsburgh, not only was he not efficient as

(04:36):
a passer, they flat out did not want to pass
the ball. They were thirty first the NFL early down
pass rate, thirty second in rate of yardage via the pass.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Even still, he's the new Man in New York.

Speaker 6 (04:49):
On top of that, multiple outlets, including the Pittsburgh Post Gazette,
our reporting that in an effort to replace Justin Fields,
they're not gonna go to Russell Wilson. Jerry Dulak reporting
that Aaron Rodgers is currently being circled as the next
guy in Pittsburgh. So essentially a trade between the Steelers

(05:12):
and the Jets Justin Fields for the forty plus year
old Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Let me say this, are the Jets secretly trying to tank?
Is that what they're trying to do? Seriously, cause I'm
not saying keeping Aaron Rodgers. Just the way everything went
and you got a new regime and a general manager,
you don't want to have your own guy.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
But I don't get to Justin Fields. I really don't.
You're Aaron Glenn.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
You're coming off coming from a place right that's had
success with the Lions. People got expectations for you. And
if you come there and they start out four and thirteen,
do you know what I mean? But maybe that's the goal.
Is that the goal is like they gave him two years,
thirty million. That's not a lot of money for a quarterback.

(05:59):
So it's not like they thought, no, he didn't get him.
Say he say he's the guy. Oh we got our quarterback.
We got a young guy who was four and two
last year.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
He's gonna be O. No, it doesn't feel like if
you're justin feels, how do you feel that there was
no market for you? You really ask me? Now, I
think he's fully aware. I think he knows.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
I mean he talked about it last season. I thought
he's you know, you know, I thought they should have
kept running with him. See what else he has, See
what else he can be.

Speaker 7 (06:29):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
But he even said, hey, I didn't play well with
well enough. So he knows at this point.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
In his career, the new vision board is Sam Donald
right where if it suggests I go there a ball
out and then I get to check after the next country,
you know, only a couple of years, so then maybe
they resigned me or something like that, ain't I'm just
saying Sam Donald is the new thing, Baker Mayfield is
the new You have Geno Smith as the new thing.

(06:56):
I'm looking at saying start off, people didn't believe in me.
Haven't had the full go at it, haven't had the chance.
I thought I'd deserve at a stable organization. Okay, whatever, boom,
this is the new way I'm gonna do this. So
if you're justin fields, that's his mindset.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Ro I'm going in this.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
I got a bunch of offensive weapons. I'm back with
guys I played with in college. I got a bunch of.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Receivers, I got a running back.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Hopefully the defense bounces back to it's twenty twenty two,
twenty twenty three ways. And if you're him, you're saying,
I'm in this situation. They believe in me, and as
of today, I'm the starter. Now we got a whole
lot of offseason off right, they still got a draft
coming up. Who knows what they're gonna do. But as
of today, if you are you know, if you are
looking at this as justin fields, I'm the starter. They've

(07:41):
given me guaranteed money and now I can go out
here and play and hopefully play even better than I
was doing with the Steelers at a four and two
last years.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
What do you think he's gonna do?

Speaker 4 (07:51):
I think he'll be around that. I don't know the
right like four and two, we obviously didn't get the
prolonged season to have a full record or whatuld that be.
I think he's gonna enjoy those weapons. I think he's
gonna be similar numbers to what Aaron Rodgers did, obviously
rushing element that Aaron Rodgers can't do. I think he's
gonna have weapons. I think he's gonna continue to get better.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
He hasn't shown he can throw the ball consistent that
and and that's that's it, and that's an issue.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
That is an issue. But he's got a bunch of
weapons shod throw to and again they're gonna be looking
for him today. It's right now, no draft, you're our guy,
so go out there and do your thing. He doesn't
have Russell Wilson on over over his shoulder right now.
But this is just weird Rob to me on both fronts, right,
I can get if you're the Jets.

Speaker 7 (08:35):
I'm not. I don't.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
I don't think it's weird on the Steelers. And I'm
gonna say why they haven't won a playoff.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Game and not? What is it, Rob g nine years?
Like like Mike Top hasn't won a playoff game in
like nine years, So why is he the answer?

Speaker 7 (08:48):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (08:48):
I'm just saying because his numbers were similar to Patrick Mahomes.
They got a better defense, and they just got a
star receiver that they just I'm just saying, if you're
looking at the right, if you were to put Patrick
Mahomes on that.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Jets team, I doubt they were fifteen and two. Would
you agree with that? If I put Patrick Mahomes on
that on that Jets.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
Team last year where they couldn't run the ball and
their defense was bad, how many games did they lose?
Rob g on the last drive of the game where
the defense gave up a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
They lost to the Patriots, they lost to the Colts.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
They lost like four games about it and even go
look it up and even Denver you remember the missfield goal.
There's about four or five games that they had to
lead in the final minute that they lost.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
You can look it up. That was the offense too.
I was just saying, who was on the field when
the game was decided at the end. A lot of
times it was Aaron.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
And one things you also miss is how about we're
only up three, how about you make us up ten?

Speaker 1 (09:46):
No no, no, no no, And how about we go
up six so they have to score. You can also
get a stop. You know you're the Patriots coming go
look at it.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
It walks down the.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Field and numbers, Rob Parker, you want to talk about numbers,
Aaron Rodgers numbers, you know Iva kepur real.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
They were solid. The issue with it is number one,
what's the most important? Five and twelve?

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Also, passing yards thirty eight hundred we called thirty nine
or even round up. But he was twenty fifth in
QBR And if you're talking about Justin Field's not being
the best passer, twenty fifth, he was thirtieth and completion
percentage and twenty eighth in yards per ten. So he
was out there lighting it up like that and as
much as it seems because there's the other side of that.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
He throw the football.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Is there any question about whether Aaron Rodgers can throw
the football? The question my concern I'm asking. I'm just
I just asked you one question. Not at a great
un can answer your question. An throw the football at
an accurate race? Can he throw the football at an
accurate rate? That's my answer. Can he throw the football
that's at an accurate rate? That's not what I asked you.
So so he threw for three thousand yard thirty eight

(10:52):
thirty nine thousand yards and he's not accurate.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Is that what you just said?

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Yes, okay, and justin fields you say is going to
utilize those weapons that he has, but he can't throw
the ball.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
He was thirtieth here passing. Glad you asked, here's the difference.
I'm really glad you asked. When we look at the
quarterbacks right now that are having success, that have had
even playoff success, and I even won a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
I look at Jalen Hurts, what did he do great
this year?

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Rob Gi passed the ball and yeah, what's cool is
that he ran the ball like he raised the Super
Bowl and the and the touchdown he threw down feet just.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Saw him get the ball one hundred times. You can throw,
he could throw the football him. Put him on the
same line.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Jalen Hurd.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
No, no, no, no, that wasn't even what I was saying.
What I'm saying is dual threats. You know who else
was in the Super Bowl. He's not a dual patrick
the football. And you know what you said about dual
threat And you know what they said, yes, and you
know what they said about Lamar Jackson too. For the
first handful of the years of Lamar Jackson. He can't
throw the football.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Okay, Lamar Jackson, I'm gonna Patrick Mahomes, I'm gonna Josh
Allen Dan to.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Stop you there.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
When you got what I'm saying Fields who knows nobody
won to the Bears, couldn't know when they traded for him,
nobody wanted what he was a fifth round pick.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Yes, So what I'm saying to you is the difference
between Aaron Rodgers. No, he's not, Lamar.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
What I'm saying is what we have now seen is
most of the successful quarterbacks are dual threat. They run
the ball and they can also pass. And what I'm
saying is when he gets to the Jets, yes he'll pass,
and will he have the numbers exactly like Aaron Rodgers
may be passing. No, but his ability to maybe get
twelve to fifteen touchdowns on the ground is huge. That's

(12:31):
what jo move off of him. Why they the Steelers
are Steelers. He was four and two and according to you,
he's a dual threat. That's what all the quarterbacks are doing.
Why they move off of him at four and two?
I don't know, well and work out because he didn't
play as well as you make it out to be.
Even that's the parts you're missing, Robs. All I'm saying
was I would have liked to have seen what I've got. No,

(12:52):
you keep what my thing is. Literally, I didn't say
he was all world. He was ten touchdowns, one interception.
We're four and two. All I was saying was, let's
just see what it is so we can go.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
But you don't you think Mike Tomlin and the offensive
coordinator and people hope you asked me this question. Okay,
you think they're looking at him and saying, oh wait
a Manue, he's really good and we're dumb.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
You asked that is one of the worst offensive teams
in the last six seven years.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
So do I believe Mike tom is a heck of
a coach?

Speaker 5 (13:20):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (13:21):
For him?

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Do I believe Mike Tomlin moved off to I believe
Mike Tomlin can make up. Do I believe he can
make bad choice? Russell Wilson came in for the next
five or six games. What kind of offense did they have?
It was much, It was dynamic.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
The last five games. No, I want to talk.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Let's talk about the last five games, but why straight losses?
But he played bad? Was it dynamos? Was it dynamic,
not better. It was dynamic. Dynamic is way too far away.
It was better, rob Dynamic is extreme.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
No, it was dynamic.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
He could throw the ball down feed you watch this,
Watch this, Robbers. We talked about the Rams and they
had a little bad patch offense when the Steelers, when
the Steelers had five straight games when they weren't scoring
and doing a little bad patch, had like four games
without a touchdown and the Steelers lost five, had twenty
touchdowns and eight picks.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Russell Wilson downs in seventeen games. He Matthew Stafford at
twenty touchdown in sety. He had multipleple receiver. He didn't
even average one touchdown a game. Russell Wilson Now just
straight games, five straight. And all I was saying was,
let's just see what Justin Fields can be. I'm not

(14:36):
even saying he's over. Let's just see you could you
can have Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
I already know what that is. You can hang on
this Justin Fields.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
For him to sign a two year, thirty million dollars
deal tells you what they think, right, and if he's not,
I'm not the quarterback of their future.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
That yours is a right Let's go see and this
is on him to show them what he can do.
It's literally on him. He has no excuse. You got
some weapons, you got an opportunity.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
It's on you. Which team will be better off next season?

Speaker 1 (15:04):
The Jets with Justin Fields on The Dealers with Aaron
Rodgers eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. We'll continue
this conversation next with you. It is the Odd Couple

and I talking about kind of a swapper Root Rob
G called him swingers out here. That's what you're doing,
Rob Z calling organization swingers swingers swapping out Justin Fields
to the Jets and then possibly Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers.
Rob asked, question, who's gonna make out better? Eight seven,
seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
So we got Jackson, Kansas City. You're in the couple.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Fox Sports Radio, Rob Parker, thank you for taking my call, sir, Yes, sir,
how are you?

Speaker 8 (16:34):
I'm good? Congratulations on. I love the sound of the
Black Sports Writers Hall of Fame. That's a beautiful thing.
I'll have to go check that out when I get
a chance to get out there.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Thank you, my man. I'm very proud of it. I'm
dream come true. So you put in the work.

Speaker 8 (16:48):
Shout out to you, brother, that's beautiful. Kelvin. I appreciate you.

Speaker 9 (16:52):
Bro.

Speaker 8 (16:52):
So and first of all, let me just say I
don't know why in the world my guy Mike Tomlin
would even want to deal with Aaron Rodgers like, I'm sorry.
In my opinion, he got solified unjust, you know, just
by being the distraction and undermining that of the entire
program that he did. Like that, that defense in New

(17:15):
York is excellent.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
It was not excellent last year. Did you watch the games?

Speaker 8 (17:20):
Well, I'm just saying that.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
No, I'm asking you.

Speaker 8 (17:22):
Did you?

Speaker 1 (17:23):
It's easy to just I get it, Jacks. You give
the quarterback all the credit when they win, you give
the quarterback all the blame when they lose. But if
you really looked watch those games and watched the defense,
that was not the same defense of two years ago
when they had Zach Wilson at quarterback.

Speaker 8 (17:38):
It wasn't the same defense, correct, Because in my opinion,
in so many ways, Aaron Rodgers had undermined Solid's authority
and he was gone.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Sala will never be a head coach anywhere else? Stop it.
You give him? You're giving what?

Speaker 5 (17:52):
What?

Speaker 7 (17:53):
What job?

Speaker 1 (17:53):
There were jobs open this year? Did he get a job?
I'm asking you, Jacks. Is he gonna be a head
coach again?

Speaker 7 (18:00):
Yes? He will?

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Okay, no way, no way, that's a one time deal.

Speaker 8 (18:07):
Had a second opportunity he should get a second opportunity.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Come on, now, you'll get another one.

Speaker 8 (18:13):
We'll get another one. And then as far as Justin
Fields is concerned, he's such an unknown factor. But I
can see how Glenn doesn't want a quarterback that's going
to be able to push back very much. And he's
obviously just a stop gap for them anyway.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
And if you win, why is he stopgap? Though?

Speaker 1 (18:31):
If he if he has all his talent, Kelvin saying
he's a two way as a two a dual threat,
why is he just a stop gap? They got a
young guy, why won't they roll with him?

Speaker 3 (18:41):
They want to see what they got.

Speaker 8 (18:42):
Totally, he's totally unproving, So I don't care what you
say that he is until he proves that he can
do it. You can pay him two years for thirty
million and see what he does. If he comes out
there next year and he's killing it, then now you
got one more year to evaluate him and pay him
his money.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
Appreciate you, appreciated, Thank you. Thanks Jeff in Texas, you're
on THEYD couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
What's up, Jeff?

Speaker 9 (19:07):
What's the buck?

Speaker 8 (19:08):
I got a bone? That picture Justice, it's straight in
with it.

Speaker 9 (19:12):
Hello, justin field was a good throw at Ohio State.
To have you watched the NFL?

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Have you watched him in the NFL at all? Or no,
he's still watching old tapes from Ohio State.

Speaker 9 (19:23):
Well, might give him a chance of throwt ball. When
did l time you put the picky to dower ball?
He faked the hand, the ball off hand the ball
all he threw a couple of pairs of picks and
then they wouldn't they even the heads to pickins.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
So you they don't know what you see. You're you're
you're in Texas.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
They're watching them in practice and they're not they're not
letting him throw because they think he's good and and
it would hurt the team because he's good throwing the football.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Is that what you're telling me?

Speaker 9 (19:50):
But he threw the ball when he had a chance
to do it.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Okay, I'm just asking you, all right, if you're telling
me that, thank you, Jeff, appreciate it. You got to
get to Alice in Pittsburgh. Alice, you're on the couple
of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
What's up?

Speaker 5 (20:03):
I've been at Oracle so we have allowed we have
an our allounge of of a TV and there's every
break I had, I had to go in and there's
something else happening, like the d Metcaps signing a lot.
I have mixed feelings about the quarterbacks. Say, I think
Aaron Rodgers became athent tick ends. I could see it.
And Tomlin likes Aaron.

Speaker 10 (20:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
They do have a man crush on each other. They do, right,
And I think he.

Speaker 5 (20:30):
Would be different with Mike Poland than he was with Salah.
I mean, if Justin Fields his mind, I'll have right now,
Russell Fields Agency. I can't see you the resigning hussle,
and I think it looks like we're close to signing.
From what I saw Aaron, They're really close coming to
terms with him. So you know, I can't it can't

(20:50):
be worth of what we hear left.

Speaker 7 (20:52):
Let me ask you.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
Let me ask this question, Alice, though, hold on you
you follow it really well. The just Justin Fields. Do
you feel like they missed out on him or did
he show you anything that made you go like, oh
my god, I can't believe we know we let him go.

Speaker 9 (21:07):
No.

Speaker 5 (21:07):
I you know, I like Justin Field and I think
we helped. He's sort of help in those fours but
we had one touchdown in like four games.

Speaker 9 (21:17):
It's fall.

Speaker 5 (21:17):
Well one does for us really, and he was he
was a game manager, and he's athletic, he can run.
But as far as after its passing, I would trust
him to be starting next year.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Okay, thank you, I appreciate it. Yeah you, thank you.
Phones going out a little bit there, all right, thank
you all for the call. Uh some more.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
We got some hoop conversations, a good game over the
weekend battle of look Brooklyn here right here, that competing
out here ninety five. Well, you know, I'm gonna shut
up and let Steven Sager do his stay. But some
hoop conversation on the other side of what was trending
Steven Seger.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Who had twenty eight touchdowns last year? Patrick Mahomes or Aaron.

Speaker 10 (22:05):
Rodgers touchdown throws? Yes, okay, I'll say Aaron Rodgers because
it's coming from you.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Who had twenty six touchdown passes? Patrick Mahomes or Justin Fields?

Speaker 10 (22:19):
Justin Fields twenty six last year?

Speaker 3 (22:21):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 10 (22:24):
Please get here.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
My point is Rogers had twenty eight passing touchdowns and
Mahomes at twenty six.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
And you know what, Steve, since we're on the numbers,
Justin Field was four and two, that's right, and Patrick
Mahomes it was.

Speaker 10 (22:37):
His job at the beginning, but he wound up being
the quarterback the first month.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
And Patrick Mahomes was with fourteen and three something like that.
Noiteen to two. Yeah, I just went okay, yeah, And
he didn't get one first place vote. Neither did Aaron
Rodgers for MVP. Steve, Like, what what do you want
from me? I don't know, Steve. He brought it up, Steve,
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (22:56):
Didn't you see the guy that did win the MVP
what he got last night?

Speaker 3 (22:59):
Yes, my goodness, fifty guarantee?

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Give dan Olovski?

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Who else? All the people who flipped there? Yeah, the
m v P. It was dani Olovski and.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Who oh uho and Mussini.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
They all swell, they all flopped their their votes.

Speaker 10 (23:24):
You're smiling. There are other jokes.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
I know where you're going going. Yeah, yeah, Steve, don't
know my mind like that. Thank you, Steve. Trying to listen.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Like Robie said, trying to make it six years Okay,
sometimes you got to bite your tongue. We are company
you live from the Tiraq dot com studios don't have

We've got your covered.

Speaker 4 (23:50):
Visit expresspros dot com today and let us handle your
hiring so you can focus on growing your business. And
now it's time for the Express pro Pro of the Week.
The pro of the week to Nuggets big man Nicola Jokicic.
He had a first thirty twenty twenty game in the
NBA history over the weekend against Phoenix. So again, congrats
to Joker for being our Express Pros Pro of the week,

(24:12):
which leads to this conversation you and I having. And
by the way, they're playing right now, the Thunder and Nuggets.
The Steve mentioned eighty one seventy six. Currently the Thunder
are up getting near halfway through the third quarter. Big
time MVP conversations over the last three or four days.
With that performance we saw from Jokic few nights back,

(24:33):
rob we just mentioned the thirty twenty something and twenty
something again first time mean the utterly ridiculous what he's doing.
And then they matched up over the weekend, the two teams,
SDA and the Thunder taking on Jokic and the Nuggets,
and SGA got the better. This was yesterday. You got
forty piece, eight boards, five assists from SGA. You got

(24:54):
twenty four thirteen and nine from Yoki. So, of course,
between those last couple of games, everybody's starting to have
the MVP conversation, and justifiably so, because both are absolutely incredible.
For me, a couple of things why SGA is barely
barely beating out on Jokis right now for me and I,
I mean barely, And a massive part of that barely

(25:15):
is the twelve game lead in the division. That is huge,
not five game, six game up, three or four. Twelve
game is huge lead to have on him right now.
And you have the thunder who are playing absolutely out
of their minds this season, and they're sitting here currently
as we speak at fifty three and eleven, again, twelve

(25:37):
games ahead of the Lakers, twelve games ahead of the Nuggets,
both in second place. Also for me, SGA and you,
my friend, are also one of those people who like
to have this conversation talking about playing both ends of
the court, because when we talk about Lebron or something,
you say, but does he play both ends?

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Luca? Does he play both ends?

Speaker 4 (25:53):
SGA plays both ends of the court, one of the
better wing defenders in the league on a team that
is the number one defense of team in the league
throughout the season. So both are ridiculous. You're talking about sir,
you take one, get me the other. I'm fine, But
as of right now, if I had to vote, edging
them out is SGA because of the massive lead in
the standings twelve games is crazy. And also he's averaging

(26:15):
over thirty for getting the third year and amazing defense,
and again they even got the head to head last
night they won, got the head to head to night
they're up. So for me, very close and not mad.
If anybody picks Ki, duh, he's utterly ridiculous. But those
are my two main factors why for me, SGA is
currently leading as we sit here.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
I think that got job when they gave it to
Joe LMB. Not mad at that, and I understand that.
I thought that was ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
And then he went on to have the postseason to
remember and win a championship with that team also without
another All Star, which is incredible. Every time I look
at Denver and what they're able to do. Uh, it's
incredible that they're as good as they are without another.

Speaker 3 (26:54):
All Stars in any other era. He's really good. But
he's not only all He hasn't made an All Star time.
That's true. But I'm saying, and that's all I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Here's a playoffs and when you look at when guys
start doing stuff that no one has done, there's no
way you can pooh pooh it or discount.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
It and act like it didn't have thirty twenty and twenty.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
Okay, might have if he were down on some substanti
amount MVP vote. That to me, that game put him
right back where it could be negative.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
That put him where some people, including myself, can look
and say, how can I not?

Speaker 3 (27:30):
How would if I had to vote? How could I
not vote for him?

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Because the numbers are outrageous and and they're better than
the other MVP years.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Like like, that's happened a lot with people too.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
And this is the other thing is, you know, like
the people who are into the analytics or whatever you know,
we talk about all the time about having to justify
these things and if you ignore them, and that's not
to say the SGA hasn't had a great season and
all that other stuff, and that thirty twenty to twenty

(28:03):
will no doubt be stuck in the minds of voters
when the time comes when they look at it, say Denver,
just say Denver closes the gap and they they're six
games and it's not twelve or whatever it is.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
They it's something closer to that or less than ten.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
And they come on and they're the second seed, right,
and they're the second seed in the West. And you
look and you say, SGA Williams was on the All
Star team, right, Rob G Jamie Williams, Right, and he
doesn't have anybody else for him As far as the joker,
I look at that and say, it's incredible. He's rewriting

(28:42):
the history books, the record books in the NBA, and
it's hard. It's like when Russell Wilson Russell Westbrook won
the MVP. Remember that team was like the sixth seed
or whatever, but he did something nobody had ever hadn't
done since Oscar Robs the Big Old. And that's where
why he won the MVPL and plus they had a

(29:04):
winning record. When he did get the triple doubles, it
wasn't like he was just Pollo. He was in the
West where it was it was deep, right, yeah, right,
But he wasn't the top seed. He was six seed
and all that, and he won the MVP. And if
people can just get off of the past and what
he did and just look at each season individually and
not worry about what somebody won last year or two

(29:26):
years ago or three years ago.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
That's not what the award is. Here, here's the problem.
Everything you just said I get.

Speaker 4 (29:33):
I think Jokish is now the new Lebron, the new
Lamar Jackson, where you're so good you even top yourself
the next year you even have better Lebron Jameson is
forty having a better season this year than the MVP
season his last one. We're just so used to Lamar
Jackson being that incredible. Lamar Jackson season was insane. This
past season, Yokis season's insane even when the year in

(29:56):
b won. But I think there he is welcome to
the Michael, the Lebron, James, the Lamar Jackson experience where
you're so good, and you've won so much and it's
hard to continue to keep.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Now thirty twenty and twenty, now, now that's that's the difference.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
It's not like he's just putting up in saying numbers
that you think people don't remember when he got thirty
twenty twenty I'm talking about. But you can't give me
what Lamar did that nobody else had done. This is
something that nobody else had done, is what I'm just saying.
That sticks with you as somebody who's a voter or
a fan. Do you remember when the Joker got thirty

(30:32):
twenty and twenty?

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Incredible? You ever see that again?

Speaker 4 (30:34):
The only other challenge though, is again if say they
lose tonight, So now it's a couple had the heads,
you've lost to the thunder three point game. I know,
I'm just no, I know, I'm saying you lose and
they say they just they win?

Speaker 3 (30:46):
Say they win? Does that change your mind so they split?

Speaker 4 (30:48):
No?

Speaker 3 (30:49):
No, But you know how it is when they're this close,
that's all dude. They are.

Speaker 4 (30:53):
Literally if you say yokay, it's just almost a Lamar
and Josh where I can you can make the case
for either what I'm saying is this is a massive
lead in the division. And I think people are gonna
say it wasn't like five six seven. If it ends
up ten to fifteen, say it somewhere in that range
game lead. That's too far of for gap. And you
can't you can't penalize or you cannot reward Sga for

(31:14):
his team being insane with that that record, and I
mean they're fifty three and eleven.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
That is remarkable. And of the best defensive team.

Speaker 4 (31:23):
He's put up thirty a game for second thirty in
a row, and he's one of the better defenders in one.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
And it's not just about scoring, you know that. And
that's the other issue.

Speaker 4 (31:31):
It's not even with with the right leading, but his
stakes would be the defensive side, whereas Jokis would be
the all around offensive.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
I moved the ball, rebound, I do all that. He
does everything passed the ball.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
It's absolutely ridiculous how good he is, Like it doesn't
even make sense. How can you be this good at basketball?

Speaker 3 (33:13):
You know we got a breathy it's uh, this is
my last call. It's the last one I got for.
It's a last call. Hey, it's Tiger, that's man. You
talk about something. He can wish you out, all right.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
You wish you could if he if they told him
he could pay one billion dollars and they can make
that goal.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
You think he'd paid at this point? Screw it is. Yeah,
he's not gonna go away at this point. I think
he's okay with it. All right, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Raphael and Cincinnati. You're in the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Raphael?

Speaker 7 (33:44):
My brothers, what's going on?

Speaker 8 (33:46):
How y'all doing great show as always?

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Thank you, my man.

Speaker 8 (33:49):
That's what y'all do.

Speaker 7 (33:50):
Hey, your boy Justin fields to me watching him in college,
I think that, uh, players like Justin at that position,
they become victims of their own circumstance. And I think
throughout his Buckeye tenure when you have you know, cream
puffs on the schedule and some of those seventy two

(34:12):
to you know, eleven wins and you get accustomed to
and I'm not down his athleticism and his his skill
at that level, but you know when you have like
these like first round, you know, receivers run around and
you're throwing to them and they're already ten yards open
and you don't have to worry about tight windows, and

(34:34):
you can run around the end, and you're so much
more faster and athletic than those We see that all
the time in col again, no doubt exactly. So then
when Justin gets to players like him, drafted number one,
you come into the NFL, you find out that, oh, okay,
this bar is a little bit higher. Okay, let me
get into the lab and they put in work right,

(34:55):
and then he finds out that the tighter windows, the
speed he thinks he has speed and every thing, but
the speed now different up a few notches. So I
think that when when the the Bears and the Steelers,
they given him ample time to watch him to see
if he's going to make that next step. But across
the board, we're not talking about a good game here,

(35:16):
and he had two touchdowns rushing there. We're talking about
some of those games where you and I us three,
We don't see the small details that the coaching staffs
and everybody with their marking down justin might have missed that. Okay,
he hit those two, but he missed so many parts.
He missed these reachs.

Speaker 9 (35:34):
He means.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
You know they talk about all the time the missed right.
Oh doesn't he left a lot of throws on Donald?

Speaker 7 (35:40):
You know that.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
And that's and the Lions game. I appreciate the call.
Uh yeah, one of the Oh they can t little
Durant getting bangs going at it.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
Uh we see that all the time.

Speaker 4 (35:52):
And uh like those Alabama quarterbacks through out the year,
rob Gyeah, you're throwing the Julio Jones and all. Then
they get to the league and there you will weren't
great often because it's like, dude, it's a little different now.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
Rob G, you in any kind of move right now?
Oh you're good. Because the Lakers, it's a tough night.
That's a bad loss. The chief said they lost seven, right,
and they lost the Nets lost seven in a row. Yeah,
when you know that.

Speaker 6 (36:17):
Coming up, you have what many are calling the toughest
schedule in a decade plus in the NBA because they
got three sets of back to backs six games in
eight days. No, Lebron James, this is the one you
gotta have against Brooklyn. You gotta win this one for Luka,
doncic And and Austin Reeves opposedly your two best players
to play as poorly as they did on a night

(36:39):
where Jordan Goodwin got hot, gave Vincent got hot and
you lose to Brooklyn.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Embarrassing and the last shot right which was miss Who
was that? Oel Russell? I don't rob g did you
see look at Austin Reves? So the replay, I mean
the rebound, two nets were there and nobody at the rim,
like like one of the.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Nuts had to get out of the way. I told
you he had to get out of the way in
order to make it. I told you, Luk, it was
gonna make this gonna mess around somehow. Still this game
is not gonna You.

Speaker 6 (37:11):
Know what's funny is only gotta do is get found.
Say Luca twenty two, eleven and ten, he had a
great game.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Who's gonna say that? Like the box score watching and
then when you watch the game, he was terrible.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
No, I told him this. This littless is on him
to me because this was the one that he shows.
Here's how you know easy win. Don't worry about Lebron's
Here I got it and he was terrible.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon is coming up next.

Speaker 8 (37:37):
I never missed your radio show.

Speaker 10 (37:38):
I never hear it, so I never miss it.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
Did you hear that? Did I do that?
