Speaker 2 (00:36):
Not blame you?

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Cody Bellinger goes yard in the Bronx and it's one one.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
I can't believe you got the Yankees on all three
out of the four TVs.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Go I don't.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
I don't control the TVs, would you say? As soon
as you get in at the break? Look, so I
need the Yankees here, yay. I need surround sound Yankees there,
And in my Paris, I need the Yankees there too.
I need a home in a way, and I need
this TV just to be nothing but the ticker that
tells me what the Yankees and know that.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
That's none of that is true. But anyway, it is
The Couple on the worship Wednesday. Why are you always
trying to wrap me out or drop dime on me
or in this case, drop quarter.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
You know what I'm just saying.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
Man, You know, maybe I want to see him see
what the tigers are doing and the Brewers ain't paying attention.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
You ain't never you know what?
Speaker 3 (01:27):
You never did, Alex? Have you ever asked you to
turn anything on?
Speaker 4 (01:31):
Because you never turned to me and you never say yo, dub.
But you know no, I shouldn't want you for TV.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Give me two. You get to the deal. That's the
new deal.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
I have to do it, say Alex. He's been here
for six or seven months that now. Has he ever
said to you, Hey, Alex, can you put something on?
Speaker 5 (01:51):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:51):
No, because I've been waiting.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
No, Alex, he's too busy with this.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, all right, he's too busy with this blasphemous.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
And he ain't watching this.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
This is what we're about to do. Stop it.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
You ain't just about oh now I know. But then
you tell me stop doing play by play?
Speaker 1 (02:08):
No because I tell you or something's going on. But
I'm saying, just you listen. You admit that I want
you to do you want me? You have never asked
him to turn any channel on. No, I have never
that you know of, that you know of? No, I
literally say, yo, the Lakers Alan, how many.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
How many games has he asked you to put on?
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Asked me once?
Speaker 6 (02:26):
Not one?
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Because I only need the necessary game call. Can we
put the Whoever's play right now? The Knicks and the
and the celtis. That's all I need it.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
So here's what you get your two? I get my two.
No you can, So you get your two.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
You could have been asking for your game for why
a living? How long has he been here since September?
Speaker 1 (02:44):
September, October on your fingers, November the seventh, like my
daughter right now, Fanuary, February, March ab into May, nine months.
You could have a baby, but at the same time
to put the TV.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
On, or you could say, yo, dug man. I was
thinking that long.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Hey cav Hey Carol, I was thinking, you know what, man,
those two are directly in front of you. You have
those two. I'll have these two TV. That's the deal.
Speaker 6 (03:11):
No, you can.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
You keep saying no, because you could be a great deal.
You get talking to mouths. Don't get fat on that all.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
My young's what you're saying no. But do you hear
me speaking? I want to he gets too, No deal?
But but why but but but why did NICKI minas
only but but but only now does he want?
Speaker 2 (03:31):
What does it matter?
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Nine months have gone by, He's never asked.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
For anything to be that what these two are here? Deal?
Look at you now, I see what happened there in
the divorce? How at the table? That's all right? All right,
all right.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
For forty years, tire Rack has been helping customers find
the right tires, how, what and where to drive, where
they drive, ship asked and free back by road has
a protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation,
tyre reight dot com.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
The way tire buying should be.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Don't forget coming up on the hot seats showing from Sacramento, Yo.
And the MLB bro of course sports betting insider and
his topics are off the chain. I mean just absolutely
out there, rob G. I don't know if he got
these topics so that you could put him on or whatever,
but he's out in left field.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
He still guess what, I like him? Still a boy
to get smoke. Another one bites the desk. That's what
we do around here.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Rob all right, but well let's talk about your guy.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Ant man, don't tell your guy didn't turn your face like, no, no,
don't start.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Don't start that.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Now, Rob G's gonna set the table, and Rob G
he does a great job of it.
Speaker 7 (04:56):
Thank you, Rob. That's something that you missed in the
six weeks.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
I was a we had no table set. I was
trying to figure out what we're gonna do and at
the table there's no Pepper. We're missing a Ford.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 7 (05:08):
So last night, of course, the big story Steph Curry
goes out with the haftring injury, and the Warriors still
found a way to blow the doors off the Minnesota
Doboys steal game one. There up one to zero in
the series. The big reason why they struggled so much,
Anthony Edwards was over in the first half. His energy
was low. If you don't believe me listening to was
(05:29):
coach Chris Finch out of the game.
Speaker 8 (05:30):
What is there to talk about. I mean, they're the
leader of the team and you got to come out
and set the tone. You know in all ways that
that happens. And if it's if your SHOT's not going
like you you still have to carry the energy, you know.
So I don't think there's if I got to talk
to guys about having the right energy coming into opening
(05:51):
around game, opening the second round game, then you know
we're not you know we're not on the same page.
Speaker 7 (05:56):
So now, guys, this might just seem like a one off.
Everybody has a bag game. We all know that, no
matter how good you are.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
It was bad in the close out game bad against
the Lakers four eleven from three.
Speaker 7 (06:06):
He didn't play that well here. But here's the problem.
This is quietly a kind of a theme with Addey Edwards.
Remember last year they beat Denver in seven. He has
his chest all puffed up. They felt like they were
the kings of the world, gonna win a championship, and
then they got smoked in the next round by Luka
Doncic and at Man's play really slipped from a series
of series flash forward this year. He doesn't play well
(06:29):
in Game five against the Lakers, but they got the win. Nonetheless,
so much so he did the walk of shame or
the walk of fame. However, around Crypto mixing up with
the fans, I was all kinds of great believe he
was out there doing that like he was talking and
smack talking all kinds of Maybe that's when he got
tired and then he with the no show in game once.
(06:53):
Here's the question, guys, does ant Man have the mental
or emotional makeup to reach his full potential and become,
you know, the face of the league that everyone talks about.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
I believe, absolutely, I believe there could be no more
perfect young person to be talking about with this because
one of the things that he does I'll explain what
I mean. One of the things that he does that
I love is he's very fourthright, he's very takes accountability,
and he'll call his own team out throughout the season.
He even called its coach our offense is terrible right now.
Offense is Julius Randall and me taking a bunch of shots.
(07:25):
He said, I think he has the makeup. Just look
himself in the mirror and say, dude, I did play
like trash and I'm gonna bounce back the next game.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
He does not need seem to be sensitive.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
He doesn't seem to be a person who's gonna wallow
and sorrow and ohe me, oh mine, they're mad at me?
Doesn't strike me? Is that as well, plus you look
at an example tells the story. Well, when he was
going to get drafted, goes to workout for the Warriors
who had the number two pick, and Steve curR at
the end was like, yo, man, that was a terrible workout.
If you have if we had a number one pick,
we wouldn't draft you. He was like, dude, I'm around
(07:55):
kd I'm around Steph, I'm around Jor. I played around Jordan.
He said, I see this guys work out. That was
not a great workout. And if he gets in the
car with his trainer, he being Anthony Edwards and says, hey, man,
we gotta turn it up. We gotta step it up,
we gotta get better. He didn't get disrespected. I'm a
number one pig. Who's gonna tell me Anthony Edwards absolutely
is gonna bounce back from this, learn for this to
(08:15):
be better. And what I like about this from Finch's
standpoint is that shows me he has a relationship with
Anthony Edwards where he feels comfortable being able to do that.
Phil Jackson can poking pride as players because he knew
that they trusted him. I can say, Kobe, you're a
good young player. All these dudes don't trust you right
now that you don't pass the ball. They need you,
you need them, Michael Jordan, I'm the new coach here. Look, man,
(08:36):
you can have just thirty five thirty seven a game
and you keep winning for thirty forty eight games and
never do anything, or we can start to work this system.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
We can start to work this triangle.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
He's called pay pill out publicly privately, and so I
think certain guys have that relationship with their players, their
star players, that they're able to do that, and I
believe Finch was able to do that to aunt Ant
will receive the message, and I guarantee you he'll like man, Man,
I played like trash.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
I gotta step it up. I gotta be better than
that in game two. Whether they win or lose, the
point is I think he's the right guy.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
They can receive the message, download the message, be better,
expect better from himself and his teammates, and be all
right with that, because all that I've ever seen is
him be right. He goes at guys, guys can go
at him, but he also shows love and appreciation to
the elders and respect the game. To me, has the
right temperament and to lead a franchise. Now he can
stay off the ig models and all that. That's another
(09:25):
conversation for another day. No, it's not so it's a
part of this. I mean, you're pooh pooing it.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
But he does at time seems distracted and that's an issue,
and that's.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
What you want.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
You want someone think you could have good and bad
games like everybody does. But are you really focused in
and centered in on that where people are going to
respect you having a bad game but knowing you're fully there,
you've put in the work. Like there's a difference people
have bad games and they're shooting is off. But we've
(09:57):
seen this drop a few times because I thin think
maybe he's been fed the idea that he's the next
uh Michael Jordan too quickly, like way premature last year,
like like people were I get it, you like his
energy and all that kind of stuff in his game.
But but to say Michael Jordan off the bat like that,
I thought that was a lot. It's like the Michael Parsons, Parsons,
(10:20):
Lawrence Taylor, you know what I mean, Like, like really
way premature. Nobody's saying that anymore, Uh, because you just
can't look at that comparison. And and that's the only
thing I'm saying. I'm not he's a fine player. I'm
not so sure. I think he's distracted by other things.
I think that could be a problem going forward, the
(10:41):
more fame he gets, or the more distractions he gets,
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Whatever.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
But but after coming off a series where everybody counted
you out, how could you be a note show at
home in game one that's focused.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
That I don't I don't think.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Where is addressing is he absolutely came out the shots
aren't falling, right, So the shots aren't falling if he
if he makes five of those eleven, then we might be, Oh.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
He was balling. It just wasn't you know that the
team so it changes the dynamic.
Speaker 4 (11:09):
I like that he bounced back the second half and
ended up with twenty three and balled out.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
He at one point a half twenty three. Yeah, but
the game was out of reach. What I'm saying is,
but you find a carryover.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
No, but where you score, I'm just I'm just saying
it's it's It's like the guy who in the first
six innings doesn't get any hits, and then the ninth
when you're down ten to one, he gets a three
run home run. Like you gotta like like when the
game was in the balance, Okay, them on the road
coming into your building, you're nowhere to be found. That's
that's the part that that's when the game was determined,
(11:44):
not when you Okay, we talk about all the time,
somebody's got a score in the second half.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
Somebody got to put up point.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
No, he wasn't gonna get skunked the whole.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Yeah, But I like his mentality. If you watch that
second half, he went in attack mode. He went in there.
I was playing like trash first half. And to me,
that's what we talk about when it comes to coaches
and we talk with players. I like adjustments. I was
playing like trash. Let me step it up, let me
quit shooting D threes. And he got in that hole
and he was attacking out. A team as a whole
didn't play the best, and again they have an opportunity
(12:14):
to bounce back. But I liked that he was an
attack bo And again, from everything that I've seen from
him and Edwards is the type of guy that will
address it. I played bad, I'm about to play better, yo.
I play like trash. I absolutely can be better. He
has that temperament of shake it off, call myself out,
hold myself accountable, and to do better. So to me,
from what I've seen from him, I absolutely have no
(12:35):
worries that he'll be better. He acknowledges he didn't play
the greatest. He said, my defense was good, he said.
He said that after the game once they brought what
Finch said to bottom to him and he talked about
He said, yeah, the shots weren't going, but I thought
I was playing good defense. We just didn't play good
as a whole. But he'll bounce back from that. He's
one of those players strictly when it comes to those things.
I'm not worried about that. We've seeing Kobe Bryant just so,
(12:58):
I mean liked Kobe Bryant.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
The idea that you would like put him in the
same breath of Kobe or Michael is just to me
way premature. You can say that now because you saw
Kobe's career, you know what I mean, Like, like, I
get it, you see a young player with some potential.
But I do think whatever you do that No, I'm
saying I think we're quick, but we are people that's
all I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
Everybody.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Last year I thought I and I was like, dude,
stop with the Michael Jordan, not just the look, but
this whole idea. Oh he's the face of the league
now and whatnot? Everybody had them going to the championship
and then they got their bucks kicked. That's what happened
last year.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
I think, what we do that all?
Speaker 4 (13:35):
Like, I remember, dude, they were trying to crown the
next Michael Jordan so much so that Harold minor baby,
and we're like, hold on, wait, great Hill just got
in the lead.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Oh he's a new face. He's a new Jordan. Did
you see this? It happens?
Speaker 4 (13:50):
Oh my gosh, if rob g is that a three
point play he's had about that's just at least a
basket count.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
You got to take a free throw and the.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
Next read I'm sorry, yeah, you might be good on
his bet. I told you I took ten and a
half points. Great, great bet. I'll tell you what if
not even changed such that Boston mess around lose this game.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
That is ridiculous. All right? Where was I? Oh?
Speaker 4 (14:11):
But back anyway, I was gonna use an example. Remember
when Kobe Bryant was mad because his teammates were terrashed,
and they were he needed to pass the ball, and
he took one shot. Robbie, you remember this, That whole
second half of the playoff game, he was.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Playing hot potato. He quit, and he quit on the team.
And it was against the Sons exactly. The Lakers were
up three to one in that series.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
And he took like I'm exaggerating fifty shots in Game
six and was criticized.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
And so he said, I'm gonna show you what it
looks like when I don't shoot, and he took one
shot the entire second half. And I say that to say,
this is Kobe, who's already won championships, who's already a
proven VET. And my point is he even had a
bad moment, bad outing, frustrated, being a brat kind of
a thing to prove a point. So I'm saying, these
types of things happen even the guys who are mentally
(14:57):
and maniacal about the game like a Kobe. So I'm
not you know, it happens with kat who'd had a
bad one. Oh my gosh, mister Clutch himself, Jaylen Brunton,
and I looked like I was under two minutes, so
it might count as a clutch bucket.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
And you know what, not only that the Celtics haven't
scored in seven minutes. Yeah, a field goal. It is
a field goal ten forty from three.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
And does bad part about their game right now is
and I've been watching as quietly the whole game because
they're so three reliant where they don't necessarily have a
They're not great, not going for threes, if that makes sense,
all right?
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Does Anthony Edwards
have the right temperament to reach his full potential? It's
real simple. We'll continue that conversation next with you. It
is The Odd Couple on Fox Sports Radio, Rob Parker,
Kelvin Washington on a worship Wednesday right.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Here on Fox Sports Radio. You know what to do,
stick and stay for some more. Go New York, Go,
New York, Go, and YUSU.
Speaker 9 (15:58):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Tatum with the ball up top I'm not gonna play
by player, but we'll see what happens here.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Turnover. They lost the game.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
What is unbelievable, the nixt one back to back wins
in ball coming back.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Celtics had.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
Bridges with a big play at the end, lockdown, Tatum,
trap put himself in a corner, I don't know where
a corner.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
And teams that win the first two games in the
series win eighty on the road.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Was that it? Yeah, win eighty.
Speaker 3 (16:39):
Six percent of the time.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
So now you gotta go to Madison Square Garden and
win two games to get this thing tied up.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
And again, I don't know, rob g. You got the
final numbers? What they make?
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Seven of forty some threes, ten of forty And you
know what, this is good for basketball? I'm goname, I'm
sitting in the Yeah, I'm with you. This is good
for basketball. So we could stop this three nonsense. You know,
because they won, people were going to double down on it.
And now looking at what they're doing here. Uh, they
(17:12):
they went cold, They went seven what's the final number?
The other than that that dunk, uh yeah, down the
middle with fifteen seconds ago or twelve seconds ago. Other
than that, they hadn't had a field goal for like
eight minutes in the game.
Speaker 4 (17:27):
The last eight minutes, somebody checked on Spike Lee because
Spike Lee might have just had a heart attack.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
The people in Boston, are you kidding?
Speaker 2 (17:34):
No Spike so happy?
Speaker 3 (17:36):
All right?
Speaker 2 (17:38):
He No, Spike is going crazy.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox US eight seven
seven sixty three sixty nine.
Speaker 2 (17:47):
You know what, I might have to.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Give some baby oil adjacent because no one's going to
be hot.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
He's in your locker right now.
Speaker 4 (17:54):
And Jayleen, they they they let a game go where
Jaylen Bronson was average at best, only seven points struggle
from shooting.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
You gotta win that game if you're Here's how it happens, guys,
real quick.
Speaker 7 (18:04):
Jayson Tatum five for nineteen, hour for two for eleven,
Derek White six for seventeen, Jalen Brown eight for twenty three.
Speaker 4 (18:09):
And if we had the time, I would have Brown.
Speaker 7 (18:13):
My god, of those threes, we got five, ten, twelve,
twenty three, thirty from those five crazy dude, thirty four
Mine to go six for thirty from three in the
starting group.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Wow, that'll do it, all right.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
We're talking about man and basically at the temperament or not.
And I told the Nicks, I took the Knicks plus ten. Hey,
I give you someone that and I'll tell you that sure,
I said they might lose.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
Twenty points mean nothing in the NBA right now, because
each guess the twenty team gets up twenty and you
know what we should do?
Speaker 2 (18:40):
What's that lose? All right?
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Dion in Texas, you're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Dion?
Speaker 10 (18:46):
Hey, guys, great, great, great show, Thanks, great conversation. Good
for basketball. Shoot all those threes shoots in the foot,
so I'm happy to see that.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Keep shooting those three is about to go crazy, the burniest, terrible, fantastic.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
The next one saw this, Hey, we saw this.
Speaker 10 (19:05):
With the Houston Rockets. By the way, missed like twenty.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
Eight twenty yep.
Speaker 10 (19:09):
Yeah, and rob your spot on with An Edwards. He
looked distracted last night. He looked distracted last year in
the Western Conference Finals game against Dallas. In fact, I
wish uh that, I wish Dever just would have went
had won that game seven cost the way Minnesota played
last year at eight, that was such a disappointment. And
those garbage points that you mentioned in the second half,
(19:30):
Curry went out. When Curry went out, they were already
up ten points, right, and he went out in the
first quarter. So you scored one point in the first half,
brought the game over. Man, you sold the game and
you're the reason why you're the reason why your team
off last night. And Man, I hated the Lakers drew
them in the first round.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
I knew that'd be as I said the same thing,
that was a bad matchup for them.
Speaker 10 (19:51):
But jjkank coach for crap. We that Lakers still should
have beat them. And I knew Minnesota was fraudulent, So
I still I got them going out, if not this round,
definitely the next round.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
But that's I don't know, fraudulent is strong because if
they go to the Western Conference final, that'd be two
what two years in a row, and then that that
that fraudulent.
Speaker 6 (20:10):
I mean, bro, that would.
Speaker 10 (20:12):
Be two years row. But look at Man go to State.
Ain't rich.
Speaker 6 (20:14):
They shouldn't be able to beat them.
Speaker 10 (20:16):
I mean, but if he shows up every night. But
I'm going in the rabbit hole. Y'all have a good night,
all right?
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Thank you?
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Uh Kevin in Culver City, you're on the couple of
Fox Sports radio Rob g. You know Kevin owes me wings? Right,
we bet one hundred wings?
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Is that what it was?
Speaker 6 (20:31):
Cav God is good all the time. Yes, Yes I did,
Yes I did. And uh, let me tell you something.
You come down before the Kendrick Lamar confer that so
far to twenty third, I did you some wings?
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Wait a minute, why I gotta go there to get
the wings.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
No, You're gonna meet me in Culver City and we're
gonna have wings, and I'm gonna say something at the
restaurant and I'm gonna take a twenty five piece back
home as well.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Just hold my wings.
Speaker 6 (20:56):
You got it?
Speaker 7 (20:57):
You got it?
Speaker 6 (20:58):
Hey, he has song from Sacramento. Ask him about this
guy fo We had him in LA radio ninety two
forty to everybody thought he was a brother. Oh yeah, yeah,
that just just like Sah. But real quick on Anthony,
that was man An man. The reason why I think
he has those traces because his level to compete the
fact that he wants to smoke you. Look at that
(21:20):
last time they played a home against the Lakers. He
had forty three points. He was the best player on
the court. And he goes back at the other guys
he goes back at the Stars, he talks crap to
the fans. They liked that, We liked the bravado. And
look the second half, like Kelvin said, he took that
over on the other end playing defense skin in the steel.
He just wasn't making his shots. So the coach is
(21:40):
trying to, you know, pull him a little bit, and well,
I like about that. Amt Man will respond to that
he had. He's not Jordan's. But the reason we say
Jordans because we see the athleticism with the ability to
shoot the ball, the ability to get to the basket,
the way he carries himself on the basketball court, and
they have a shot. They have a legit shot to
win a championship this season if he gets just stuff together.
(22:01):
Maybe he wants to seem likely now jokers being very
vocal with his teammates, maybe wants to see that our
ant Man. But I know what Fitch is trying to do,
and I think ant Man has shown that he's that
dude who can go down next level, be super song level,
like we saw against Habon and Lucas.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
Kevin, Real quick, your thoughts real quick?
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Oh gone, Okay, we're.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
Gonna ask me I'll take the air out my name,
make it Kevin.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
I know about the Celtics, like people got to be
around man who can't tell me anybody, Like like, Okay,
lost the other game, come back, they're gonna blow out
the Knicks, right all that they started out like that
to go eight minutes without a.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
Field goal and that's the one field not having any
ability to adjust and being you could tell everyone we're
not gonna shoot threes, But how do we do that?
Speaker 2 (22:44):
How do we actually function without doing that? All right?
Speaker 4 (22:47):
We got the hot seat coming up, looking forward to
that Sean and second middle sean, so when he gets smoked,
you know how we do.
Speaker 9 (22:52):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Rob Parker and kelvin Washington weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pms effect on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Damn Son, the current temperature is the Odd Couple are
making it hot in here, damn hot.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Time to sit your butt down in pot cooking the
hot seat.
Speaker 7 (23:14):
That's right, it is the hot set here in the
eye Couple say when we invite one of our brethren
to get into the square circle with the tag teed
Champions of the world. Tonight's victim. You know him, I
know him, legendary caller of the Odd Couple. Now we're
here to mix it up with the fellas. Sewn is Sacramento.
What's up, Sean?
Speaker 6 (23:35):
Yeah, i'le from another brother, cousin Kilby, and you know
I pick some of the hottest topies. I want all
of the smoke from the eyd couple.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Are you about to get it? It's unbelievable. I go
to Sacramento, We'll go to the game. I'm buying them
food and now he's here to attack us.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
Yeah, you know, I learn from the best ride you
you you gotta bite the hand that fees or sometime
because we're all about content, Ain't that right, rob Ge?
Speaker 7 (23:57):
That's right, we're writing we ripping all right. I got
three hot takes from Seawn. He's ready to go two
on one against the odd Couple. You know how this
segment worse. Let's get started. Take number one, Sean, says
Isaiah Thomas, Kelvin's favorite player.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
Of all time.
Speaker 7 (24:11):
Of them could not play in today's NBA with guys
like Jason Tatum and Jaylen brown Shaw. You got thirty seconds.
Tell us why.
Speaker 6 (24:19):
That man would now be the modern day day beyond
Mitchell Gritty. Small size guards do absolutely nothing in today's NBA.
Not only that, but look at the numbers in his
last couple of years. Fourteen point eight points per game,
seventeen point six points per game, eighteen point five points
per game.
Speaker 10 (24:37):
All very mediocre.
Speaker 6 (24:38):
And my man was not built to last because he
tore that achilles. I can't believe that both of you,
Detroit Homer, who spent all that time, are telling you
he's a better, a better point guard than in one
world and how many championships? Nothing but defense? That man
is nothing but stop.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Good Sean, what are you talking about? Back in his
day they played defense. You can't touch anybody now, that's
why Steph. Steph would be a rag doll if he
was playing back in those days. And Isaiah and his
prime be Bird, Magic and Jordan, all of them.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Without another top fifty player on his roster, this is
a mismatch.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Let's throw in the white tail.
Speaker 11 (25:22):
The tall in.
Speaker 6 (25:24):
There's a reason why he wasn't on the Dream Team.
It wasn't all about politics. They had John Stockton over him.
Let's keep it one hundred percent real with a bunch
of bullies on his team, like Rick Mohorn, like Bill Lambier, who,
by the way, couldn't playing today's NBA because they'd be
flagrant too. By the end of the first quarter. Vah
Thomas winning standard champ Steph Curry be putting them this leap.
(25:44):
It'd be dame time all in his eyes. E the
guys like Jason Tatum, big five guys that could beat
Colin mismatches against a small dollar like Isaiah Simons.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
First of all, everybody you named are his sons. He
fathered them. He fathered Allen Iverson, he fathered Steph Curry,
he fathered Kyrie Irvan. Are you kidding me? Then you
mentioned Bill Lambert couldn't play. Now all they do is
shoot threes. Bill Lambier was the original stretch three. Sean,
I used to think you knew basketball, you just caught
up here. No, I know you don't. Also, the man
(26:14):
won a high school championship, won a cottage championship, won
two championships in the NBA. All that sounds like is
a winner to me, Sean. A one fight, stay in
sacrament and don't come to.
Speaker 11 (26:24):
L A fire it up yem my brother, that's on
the other side of the phone.
Speaker 6 (26:30):
How you doing living live brother? You know nightty to me,
keeping a nice and clean saving every puppy and every
cat one million time.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
Broh gosh, And that's why you got the moss round Sean.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
Wow, is that crazy over the puppies.
Speaker 6 (26:43):
Let's go all right, take all of this too.
Speaker 7 (26:47):
Sean's up one.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
Oh, here's a dog cage when you need one.
Speaker 6 (26:50):
This mussel is.
Speaker 7 (26:51):
Something I don't think Sean really believes. It's just a
personal attack on Rob. He says that Michael Jordan sneakers
the Jays are poorly made, only take advantage of stands
like Ross coming at and guys who follow the flop,
which just bless for me.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
He's coming at you.
Speaker 6 (27:08):
Let's keep it real. One of the most unoriginal shoes
of all time, the Jordan one, based off the Nike
Dunk and a little bit off the Adida's form. And
not only that, but they come out with the same
shoes every year because they're not built to last. Man
New Balance has one hundred and eleven percent uptake inside
the sales market for a reason. Made in America and
(27:28):
made to last, Nikes are gonna be exposed right now
by tiny manufacturers. And what does Rob do pay fifteen
hundred brand new pair of Travis Scott and for no
other reason because the kids think when.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
They see me, it sounds like a guy who doesn't
have fifteen hundred dollars and has nine kids and can
buy Travis Scott. All I'm telling you is if you
would have had a pair and tried them on, you
would think differently.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
They are as comfortable as any sneaker I've.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
Ever had, And the Jordan Fords and the eleven they
all are comfortable.
Speaker 6 (28:01):
Oh Rob, Now you might not be wearing one, but
it sounds like big cap to me because you came
up here to Sacramento and saw me wearing those exclusive
hey God rest the Pope stained glass window Nike duck
as bees because at one time Nike didn't make quality shoes,
but you see it on the internet. Two dollars and
forty seven cents to produce a pair of mass productions
(28:23):
Jordan's and they cashing you out for two fifty robs.
Save your money, brother, You're supposed to be saving those.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
Butts o man Sean if you don't go get some
British Knights. I don't know what you're wearing right now
on your feet? What in the cads are you wearing
right now?
Speaker 9 (28:37):
Now?
Speaker 4 (28:37):
Listen, he's wearing Shan, he must have some shocks on.
Everybody up?
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Charges?
Speaker 4 (28:41):
Hello, everybody up. I don't care what you you think
of Louis Vaton. Thing is really worth twenty thousand dollars? No,
everyone up charged? And and by the way, Sean, if everybody's
saying you're crazy at a certain point, you might be crazy.
If everybody's mind Jordan, then everybody must be right. And
they got to be some good shoes.
Speaker 11 (28:57):
So let me just get this straight, Sean, are you
trying to tell me that these insanely expensive shoes are
not as they're all hype to be.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
I'm trying to tell you, Alex, as a man who
sings outside of the box, I know you would understand that. Bro.
Speaker 11 (29:11):
I also don't like when Rob tries to you know,
poor Seama, so definitely on a couple not getting this
one shot again.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
It's a man, it's a job. We're getting job right now.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
It's all right.
Speaker 7 (29:21):
You could come back. You could be the New York Knicks.
You gotta come back here. What shot is Sacramento. I'm
just saying the last take of the night, the hottest,
taking the nag saying he.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
Doesn't like steak of filet mignon. He never been one.
Speaker 7 (29:34):
I'm just saying, like digging his stuff a bigger hole,
hero calling everyone broke.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Rob I'm broke too. All right here, I settled down now.
Speaker 7 (29:42):
Sean says, this is my favorite one, even though it
is a hot take. Uh, rob G, which is me
has hotter and better it takes than both hosts on
the Eye Couple, Sean, I'm gonna give you forty five seconds.
It's such a great take. Go ahead and tell.
Speaker 6 (29:53):
Them why the proof is in the pudding them six
weeks rob G was out. These were so out there.
Kelvin and Rob almost lost their jobs to you two
months into Kelvin's brand new contract. Let's keep it one
hundred percent real. Look what happened at Chris Brustar when
he lost the genius or robbed g righting all of
this takes for him. Now he's on first take, flounder
(30:14):
and calling the Lakers and five and looking silly on
the eye couple saying the same thing. Y'all know it.
I know that Robb G is the true brains of
the operation.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
All I know is I refer to Elijah for the
YouTube birds. When Rob G it was gone for those
six weeks, they went through the roof on YouTube numbers.
I don't care what you say, Sean, go look them up,
and we almost broke YouTube.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
I'm glad you brought that out, Rob because guess it
was the newest addition to every Friday morning YouTube dropped
from inside the Parker. Your boy shot is Sacramento. That's
why the numbers are run. Baby, It's not because of y'all.
It's because of me and Rob G. And while I'm
agine man shout out Emmit and Olympia shout out very
long the second. This is how you come to the
(31:04):
Honzia this boy.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
I can tell a job, an inside job when I
see one. Alex is in on this, robb G is
in on this, and Sewan is in on this. We
was a fixed rob We've been set up. Let me
tell you something. Robb G is the greatest producer of
all time. But when it comes to rocking the mics,
this is what we do. Okay, robb G is the man,
but this is.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
What we do.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
Our texts hot, the streets hot. We know that we
got the streets all lot. We can't even walk through
New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
Sean, Hey, what's up? Sean?
Speaker 11 (31:36):
You don't have so much love for you? And I
have to tell you something truly here, let me bring
the music down. No one's listening. Robg has never won
a hat SI and so to say his takes are
better than the odd couple is not only blasphemy. I'm
gonna have to say this yo, our couples when he's.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
That's right, we would have Dow York j for no, well.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
We would don't call them Sean Tatum from here on out,
seaw Tatum Shaw Tatum.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Looking so hey, Sean, here's a couple of tissues have
for the kids who are crying because I know that
they're listening on.
Speaker 2 (32:13):
Show you where Let's send him some Jordan's.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
You got a tissue. That's why I will set Sean.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
He's the other one too, was even if people love Lebron,
they'll they'll go to their death talking about Lebron wearing
Jordan's at the barber socks.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
That's facts. Good job on, good job, all right.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
We got last call coming up next eighty seven, seven ninety.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
Nine on Fox. That was Fendishing Love.
Speaker 4 (32:37):
Yeah, he is last you know, and manci know what
I like to say, Fox Sports it's last call.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Time on The Odd Couple.
Speaker 9 (32:44):

whole show, where's your chimney? Fox, hurry up, Robin Kelvin,

Speaker 2 (33:41):
This is the last car. It's last call. Last call.
Time on the on call, last call. Who we got?
All right?
Speaker 1 (33:59):
Mark and Cremento, You're on the couple of Fox Sports
Radio and you are the last call.
Speaker 6 (34:06):
What's going on? Rob? What's going on? Mister Washington?
Speaker 5 (34:08):
How you guys doing today?
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Doing good?
Speaker 9 (34:10):
Man?
Speaker 5 (34:12):
My last call is this to the analytics crackhead to
keep telling these teams to keep shooting these three pointers.
You see why you need posts play at the end
of games to control the clock and extend the game
with free throws. They kept shooting three pointers. The Boston
Celtics have it auto lock button on.
Speaker 6 (34:29):
Three point three point swot and it's going.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
To cost them in the end if they don't know
how to use their post play at the end of games.
The last thing wanted to say, guys is we didn't
have a Cinderella in the NCAA at March Madness because
we had all four number one seeds. We may have
a Cinderella in the NBA playoffs this year.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
I like that. I like that.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Mark, you might be onto something and we haven't repeated
in what seven eight years?
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Something crazy? Whatever's been.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
And don't forget the Knicks didn't do well against the
upper echelon team they now here, they go to Boston
and win two games. They didn't beat to so Tics
all year they would look bad against them too, all
in ten against the best teams.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
And that that's why I showed you about all.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
Thirteen people picked the Celtics, all eleven people picked the Lakers.
You know, all the ESPN people, Remember that's what I
was telling you. I was like, not one person I
get it.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
The Celtics definitely, even if they come somehow come back
and win this series, which is still not crazy, they
could still win the series.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
But it's gonna be harder to correct. New York is
going to be going correct.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
But if you're the Knicks, you gotta feel like and
like no lead is safe for them, Like you know
what I mean, Like why you why can't you believe
you'd come back from anything?
Speaker 4 (35:43):
I think, well, not only that, I think all teams
in the NBA need to be feeling that way because
you picked the team, They've all come back, right, Okay, Seas,
I hope we go up twenty, we lost. If you're Denver,
you're saying we came back. We've seen it happen all
through the playoffs. Teams that were up found a way
to come back and win those. I mean even look
at the Lakers. They were up twenties, but they had
some game. Are going in up in the fourth quarter,
up ten and still losing. So the NBA playoffs have
(36:04):
been fun. Man, it's been fun. It's been you know,
for the most part of close game.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
I love this for just one more from Sacramento, said
the analytic Geeks with the three that kick.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Man kick this, come on minute, everything has to be
a three out of here.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
My gosh, The.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon is coming up next.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
I never miss your radio show. I never hear it,
so I never miss it. Did you hear that
