Speaker 3 (02:16):
I already feel it.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Wow, yeah, tomorrow is gonna be a rough day. Where
did you Where did you end up sleeping? Remember you
were like, do youah the new born or what you doing?
Speaker 1 (02:25):
So I stayed at the new place on the floor,
you know, on the mattress on the floor.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
So I spent a couple of nights like that.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Finally tonight will be the first night in the new bed,
you know, the mattress on the frame or whatever. So
I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep or whatever.
But I'll be honest, new place, sleeping on the floor.
I slept like a baby. I think it probably had
to do with the moving part because I was involved.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
Are you out?
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yeah? I was involved in the moving, not you?
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Was she okay on the floor?
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Okay, here we go.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
You're a young spride man. I don't know. You know
what showing you reduced me?
Speaker 3 (03:05):
Unbelievable.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
I'm not gonna lie. Alex. Let me hear all the
drops we gave him this week. I don't know if
we were all one or a fine tooth combing is
you know and listening for everything? I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
I mean, I don't Alex wanted to might have set
a record this.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Week for pulling out it was dropped. You know how
big this thing was before I started biting easy Ian Mike?
Speaker 1 (03:31):
What I ain't saying to himself? What possibly could that
have been? How was that possibly said during a radio show?
Speaker 6 (03:38):
I mean, I was here yesterday, so I you know,
yesterday was just exhibit A.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Was that the taco? We were talking about the.
Speaker 6 (03:44):
Taco and got a lot of good ones out of that.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Yeah, that was a little wild one too.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
They're gonna lie it was, uh, Kelvin, let's go here,
maybe you could set this up right?
Speaker 4 (03:53):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Uh man, Steph Curry.
Speaker 5 (03:56):
Go ahead.
Speaker 7 (03:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
Well Steph Curry obviously shocked the world really thirteen years
ago when he made their partnership with under Armour. A
lot of people, you know, he started to become one
of the best players in the world. And VPS you
kind of.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Thought because it was with Nike originally exactly.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
And you typically thought, you know, stick with Nike, some
crazy big deal with come. But he actually went to
under Armour and has been there for thirteen years and
they decided to split. They're saying that it was mutual. Yeah, right,
if you kind of read into it for under and
they said for them, for under Armor, this moment is
about discipline and focus on the core of their brand
during a critical stage.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
We don't want your stuff. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
And they mentioned how you know, they wanted to get
more of the market share. For a company that's worth
five billion, they only get one hundred million in shoes,
and they're like, you know, I thought they could be
able to get some more. For Curry, he said, what
Curry brand stands for, what I stand for, my commitment
to that mission will never change, is only growing stronger.
I'm excited for a future that's focused on aggressive growth
with a continued commitment to keep showing up for the
(04:54):
next generation. So they're splitting in part ways. So thirteen
year relationship now over. Curry can do what he wants,
go where there? Do you know as he chooses and
continues to, you know, build the brand, and under Armor
is going to try to grow their brands separately from him.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Now I take away two things from this. A Steph
Curry didn't make a dent in the shoe game. Right,
as popular as Steph Curry is was whatever you want
to say, with all the little kids wanting to shoot
threes and be Steph Curry, they weren't buying his shoes.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
So that is that that to me, that's a fact.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
And you remember the first pair of shoes he came
out with looked like nurses shoes.
Speaker 4 (05:38):
They were the big white man they were, That's what
they was, the guise of perminentemse. The s sixes, am
I right?
Speaker 3 (05:46):
They were terrible, Kelvin. They were bad. They looked like
big call.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Hall monitors, the dude watching in high school Hall monitor sixes.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
They were bad.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
Cedar sin I sixes is crazy.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
And he didn't write that. I mean, that was you
had to say, I'm Saint Joseph threes. I'm telling you
that Providence fives were crazy.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
But but so so it tells me to things. The
Kaiser sevens, Kaiser sevens.
Speaker 7 (06:17):
Is that it.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
Yeah, we all were like, wait, wait, wait, Steph, come on, Steph,
did you get did you approve this thing? I know,
did you.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
See these and you thought people were gonna buy them?
Speaker 1 (06:28):
I was like, I remember, like, what a big deal
was Steph's signature shoe?
Speaker 4 (06:31):
And because it was, he was like this it was
his moment, right, unanimous m v P. And he was
just becoming this guy. Well a little bit before that,
but you know, he was becoming the guy and then
and then and then.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
But here's the here's the other part. Steph's not.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
As big as an impact on basketball outside of the
threes and what I mean by we know about being
the time three maker and all that and revolutionizing the
game from the standpoint of everybody wanting to take threes,
but for them not to have some lifetime deal like
(07:13):
the way Michael Jordan did, right because Michael, remember became
independent air Jordan became a brand from Nike.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Okay, this was the this is what Curry wanted was his.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Own brand from under Armour, right, and they said, nah,
we'll pass on that, and you just talked about it.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
The numbers never really made a dent in the sneaker business.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
And I think that they looked at that and go,
Steph is not going to sell I don't care if
he's in control of it or not going to sell sneakers.
And we're not going to just give away money and
have a lifetime contract or whatever. And I think that's
I think that's a reflection of Steph not being able
to really connect to all these people who supposedly.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Him and I don't and and and it's weird.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Uh Lebron's the same way, like a sneaker never really
did anything. Too big, too clumsy, too am I right?
I mean Kelvin I even had a pay they were
just too big.
Speaker 4 (08:14):
It was too bame like. But they did they did alright.
He had a couple of like a few years that
did well. I'm not Hobi's obviously did well. I'm just
kind of naming some shoes that have done wells because
the question becomes like, I mean, who kills it aside
from Jordan, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Like, no, I get that, but but Steph is the
guy that all these like like if anybody should have
been able to grow brand, it's it's Steph Curry, all
of those kids who were five and six and whatever. Ian,
you know what I'm talking about, Like he was the
guy he would he Ian?
Speaker 3 (08:50):
How old are you? Twenty what?
Speaker 6 (08:52):
I'm twenty five And I grew up watching Steph Curry
as a Warriors fan, you.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Know that from the Bay Area. That's my guy.
Speaker 6 (08:58):
Absolutely, But like also and and I'm trying to separate
myself from the fandom here, but I just can't see
it being the case that under Armour told Steph Curry
to go can.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
Absolutely, I just don't think it had a decision.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Yeah, I think I actually brough. I'm gonna tell you
why I don't agree with that. Here's why I believe
the mutual. I think one of the things about being
in that Bay Area. If you look at Draymondson of
the moves he's made, you look at Andre if you
man Andrea Gowdalad's a brilliant business mind. You ever can
sit around and talk to him. Hear him talk about it. Uh, Steph,
A lot of those guys being up there and because
(09:31):
of Joe lacub and so many people connect to that team,
they become extraordinarily business minded being in the Silicon Valley area.
Ish And I think there is a part of Steph
that I do agree. The shoes weren't moving, nobody was
like you got the new Curry thirteen. But I'm agreeing
with you in that. But what I'm what I'm saying
is I think there's an element going back to your
(09:51):
Jordan point that Steph wants to say, I'd rather only move.
I'm making up a number a million units, but I'm
an owner of that on your units.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
But Michael Jordan with Nike Jordan, it's a Nike brand,
but it's the Jordan brand.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
He gets a percent of He owns the jump Man
and he gets the percent of those old Jordan's. No,
that's why he's down and make a billion dollars a year.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
But I'm saying for Steph, there's no way like you
go out.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
When you go out on your own and you're trying
to do those your your own sneakers or whatever, your
own brand, you wind up doing the shacks that were
at pay Less for fifteen ninety nine. Starbarries or the
starberries or the ewings like you're doldenness were the best
at all?
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Those were terrible.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
All you lucky. I went to studio the first time
we fought. No. I can't believe you pair of yous.
Oh my man, I had a pair of I had
a pair of green swet ewings.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
You probably still got the blister still on your big toe.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
I bet that's when my starberries the star ferries. I
wanted to support him. He came out to Flint, I
was doing, oh Man and the stephen Berryes. We sold
a bunch of them, bought a pair. I loved the
concept what he was doing. Rob, I put out there,
you Rob, I had to go good. I had to
go like I needed a pair of Kaiser Kaiser permanent,
(11:10):
they sixes because I had to go to the hospital
like my toe, myns, you.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Know, like like it's hard to make him quality, sure boy,
I said it.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
Oh yeah, shoes for nine ninety nine. I guess that's
what I can discern.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Remember the shacks, right, the shocks are the same.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
Shacks still swear they're good shack still I know.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Matter of fact, I went to the super Bowl party?
Speaker 8 (11:31):
Was that?
Speaker 4 (11:31):
Was that?
Speaker 3 (11:32):
Did we go to the super Bowl part last year?
Speaker 9 (11:33):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (11:34):
Yeah, you were there New Orleans? Yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
And they had a shock the one you.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
Left me and Rob you left us pictures. You was
lit up with Denzel and shot Jordans. Yeah, thanks Rob,
I said, I forgot about that.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
I did good.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
But anyway, they had a shock display with some of
those He's still pushing those sneakers.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
And when I'm his son, so he's trying to have
his son. If you eat out that show on uh,
I want to say his Netflix. He's got his son
now trying to revitalize the rebox brand because he.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Did we balking, fine, but those shocks or whatever. Oh
My only point is I just I think I don't know.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
I'm actually agreeing with you that he didn't move. You
would have thought Steph Curry, anybody hotter than Lebron, hotter
than uh you know whoever. Well, obviously Kobe kind of
didn't count as the last little couple of years before
he ultimately would pass. But hottest thing going, you thought
it would resonate. I think a couple of bad things
(12:29):
happened I think him going with under armour because it
kind of made it. It's like when Kawhi woman New Balance,
You're like okay, and it's him going with new Balance,
the first shoe looking like to see the sign that threes.
And then also, you guys might feel me on this
Ian because you're from the area. Steph. The person off
(12:49):
the court, like the the the flair, the liveliness. He
kind of liked Tim Duncan.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
So he's a snoozer. Huh.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Him on the court is mac met it. He's shimmying.
Speaker 6 (13:02):
You agree with me, yes, So I wouldn't say Tim Duncan,
I see what you're I see the point you're making.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Because Tim Duncan is he just wants to pair.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
He didn't say, Hey, first of all, on this your
rass shopping brethren. You know he's shopping.
Speaker 6 (13:17):
Yeah, the big fundamental from yesterday.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
But what I mean, let me clarify what I mean.
For all that he is on the court of magnetic
personality shooting threes, shooting and turning around. He didn't really
move the needle anything else. Like you don't remember big
time commercials. You don't remember. He wasn't in like his
own space jam or he you know, he didn't have
these like hilarious viral moments like he's kind of just chill,
(13:41):
goes home with the fam.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
And like, yeah, but if you wants but if you
want to be Steph though, you want to wear the
sneakers he's wearing.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
And that's usually right, you guys, remember though.
Speaker 6 (13:52):
And this is kind of time you remember. Why he
didn't end up going with Nike was because Nico Harrison
messed up his name.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
Did he call him again?
Speaker 6 (14:00):
He called him like Stefan or something or something?
Speaker 4 (14:03):
Yeah, Nika man, Nico might have to just he might
have to just call it a career, bro.
Speaker 6 (14:09):
I think he did all right, or so I just
don't get a GM job as at an NBA team
after after that.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
Well cause I think they tried, like Rob Polenka, right,
there was an agent you I was gonna say. And
by the way, later on we got to talk about
a coach taking a shot at ja J.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
I don't know if y'all saw that. No, I saw that.
That was the greatest thing.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
Oh. I was like, damn, all right, I'll talk about
it a little bit later, but yeah, I just think
is to put a button on my point real quick
bro I think going with Under Armoured, she not being
the greatest when it came out early, and also him
not being the greatest pitch man salesman. He's just kind
of great on the court, but nothing else. Like Michael
Jordan was great on the court, great salesman, pitchmen, he
(14:49):
was like larger than life. Step kind of chill when
he's off the court. You don't really hear much from him,
all right.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
nine nine six sixty three sixty nine. Why do you
think Steph didn't resonate in the sneaker market? Did you
ever own a pair of staffs? Was it his personality?
Was it the sneakers? And a lot of people thought
he'd have a lifetime deal with under Armor, right, but
(15:14):
instead they part company.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
What's the reason? I just think he didn't resonate enough.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
And that's shocking when you think everybody or every kid
growing up in the last ten, twelve, fifteen years wanted
to be Steph Curry. Yet this is not materializing eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox. It is the couple
on a Funky Flashback Friday, Rob Parker Kelvin Washington, right,
here on Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Stick and stay.
Speaker 6 (15:43):
Unless you have a Kaiser Permanente seven in the US
event very nice.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
I don't want to pair.
Speaker 10 (15:51):

all that good stuff. It is greatly appreciated. So go
check out the brand new YouTube channel for us, the
Odd Couple FSR. All right, Rob, Hey, we talked about
it earlier, me and you before the show started. We like, man,
I think a lot of people would you know, kind
of be interested in this because Steph Curry has been
(17:26):
maybe the biggest and Lebron the biggest, those two guys
one two, three, oh yeah wherever, and yet the shoes
just don't fully resonate with people. Now partner ways with
under Armor. Why is that eight seven seven ninety nine
on Fox?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
What we got Jesse in Vegas? You're on the Odd
Couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
What's up? Jesse?
Speaker 9 (17:43):
Hey?
Speaker 8 (17:43):
What's up? Fellas? I just gotta I just gotta think.
Speaker 12 (17:46):
That the way that we can sue media and the
and the.
Speaker 8 (17:50):
Way the advertising dollars are spent has changed so much.
There's like three major channels and ESPN and they probably
at ninety nine percent of like the sports watcher's market
share back in the day. So you could see Spike
Lee commercials. That would be a massive event, being like,
it's got.
Speaker 12 (18:05):
To be the shoes.
Speaker 8 (18:06):
In fact, the last great shoe marketing campaign I remember
seeing is Little Tenny. That's about the last time I
even remember Kenny.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Yes, I remember, that's a good one.
Speaker 8 (18:16):
But they are they aren't doing that anymore because there's
so many different they're spread soaks in with all these
streaming services and media consumption. I don't think they focus
on big campaigns like that.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
I agree with that part.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
I'm just surprised that Steph wasn't able to move the needle.
I get uh, you know, Kawhi and New Balance, But
every little kid.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Wanted to be stepped. That's the part that I'm trying
to and.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
I think they think that thanks Jesse, let me instead
of the shoe, let me get, let me get the
jersey mom Exactly.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
I don't want to wear those shoes.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Right pass on the hall monitor twos. Let me just
get the jersey.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
Dre in Michigan, you're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What's up, Drayo?
Speaker 12 (18:55):
What up?
Speaker 3 (18:56):
How you?
Speaker 7 (18:58):
Hey? Ron?
Speaker 12 (18:59):
You're not going in front of them?
Speaker 13 (19:00):
You like them unins. Wasn't that deal for.
Speaker 9 (19:05):
You? Gotta remember you.
Speaker 13 (19:06):
Was a probably of your med twenties when it came
out as a teams was popping.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Bro I had the black Forrest Green sways me and
my sister.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
I bet you your big toe is still black from
wearing them.
Speaker 13 (19:18):
First off, No, but I think the issue was with Steph.
He went to under Armour because un Armour wasn't no
cool name. And though Steph was, it didn't bring no coolness.
And we all know who drive the fashion world, and
we wasn't jumping on under Armours because they didn't go
with no regular outfit. And if you think about back
(19:39):
when Jordan's, Jordan's really popped because they was a status
you know, only a certain kind of lifestyle could wear
those types of shit.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
But even but even other ones.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
I'm just saying for Steph's popularity and all the kids
wanted to beat Hey, I want to look like Steph.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
I want the jersey, I want the sneakers.
Speaker 4 (19:56):
He wears.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
All these kids were Steph fans. That that's all I'm saying.
And they grew up.
Speaker 13 (20:02):
But yeah, but that's like a that's like a pretty
woman being with the uggly bro dude. Don't nobody want her?
Speaker 7 (20:06):
No more?
Speaker 8 (20:06):
Like all right, yeah, you ain't know.
Speaker 13 (20:07):
Something must be wrong. You were hurt, you were here,
so you know, that's just my thing. I think he
went to Night one would have been poppers.
Speaker 4 (20:15):
All right, let me tell you something that was the
most detroit analogy. He's like, let me tell you something
that's like a pretty girl and then she was an
ugly dude. Something wrong with her? Because whyhold get with him?
Oh man, Leon on.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Long Island, You're on the couple of Fox Sports Trading.
What's up?
Speaker 4 (20:31):
Leo?
Speaker 12 (20:32):
Hey fellas well? I gotta say, Kevin, uh miss tonight,
my Boddy from Wall Street calls me and he was like, Yo,
we done the biggest bullets here in Wall Streets Trump's terrace,
And I was like, what happened? And it was like, yo,

Speaker 14 (22:49):
Stephen Curry shoes was a very fopular shoes. And today
in the market, the rappers are moving shoes. Travis Scott

It's just not hitting like that.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
All right, Kevin, thank you buddy. You appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Definitely got vibes. Appreciate. We got Lamar Mitchell bet MGM
director on the other side. We'll talk to some minds
we'll have right now, Steve the segare gonna get you
set on one trending.
Speaker 5 (23:30):
Hello, we got two college football games going on tonight
on Fox TV. At a ranked Oregon Ducks have just
scored again mid first quarter. Oregon leeds Minnesota fourteen to nothing.
Just starting the second half at number twenty Louisville Clemson
leading the Cardinals ten to nine as Louisville missed an
extra point kick. Chiefs running back Isaiah Pacheco still out
(23:50):
this weekend with a knee injury. Kansas City's at Denver
on Sunday. Bronco's running back JK. Dobbins out with a
foot injury and going on IR is possible. Cardinals why
receiver Marvin Harrison Juniors officially out after this week's happened
dect to me and Houston quarterback CJ. Stroud out with
a concussion. Giants quarterback Jackson Dart out with a concussion
(24:10):
to the NBA scoreboard about five and a half minutes
to go. At New York, the Knicks still leading Miami
one twenty six to one thirteen Karl Anthony Towns thirty
six points, most of that in the first half. It's
just gone final. At Orlando, the Magic beat Brooklyn one
oh five ninety eight without Paulo ban Caro. He was
out with a straing groin. The Nets now one and eleven,
(24:31):
Piston's holding on ninety four to ninety two over Philadelphia
with nine minutes to go. Houston's winning again eighty six
sixty seven over Portland in the third. A Rockets win
would put them at eight and three, Lakers right now
eight and four and winning big at New Orleans eighty
one sixty six. As they approach mid third quarter, Luka
Donsig twenty two points, a lot of that from the line.
(24:53):
He has nine assists, just one turnovers so far in
men's college basketball nine minutes to go. Eleven ranked Texas
Tech now up fifty seven forty eight on Milwaukee, and
we've got at TCU a lead for the home team
against number six Michigan twenty one seventeen in the first half.
Coming up in Englewood, UCLA against Arizona at a top
(25:14):
twenty matchup. Just four NHL games including a Nashville win
in overtime today against Pittsburgh two to one. Canucks tied
three to three at Carolina with three and a half
minutes left in regulation. Number two ranked you Onick Center
won his match at the season ending atp Finals.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
Back to you all right, Steve Ay, have a great weekend, brother,
appreciate it. As always. It is the odd couple. Rob
Parker kelvin Washington on a funky flashback Friday, I.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
Told you about the Nets plus fourteen and a half?
Did I tell you that one?
Speaker 4 (25:42):
You did tell me about that, by the way, I mean,
but that's one of the lot of the teams in NBA.
It's just like, what what are we doing there? Like
I don't even see the light at the end of
the tunnel with those teams eggs and pains. They can
sneak up during the holiday hustle and bustle. The lead
can help you forget the pain and make some happy
memories instead, which is what pill a Lee provides up
to twelve hours of body pain relief so that you
can keep it moving. Please use as directed. It is
(26:04):
now time for our brother, Lamar Mitchell bet MGM, Trading
Director of Trading. Lamar, what's our brother?
Speaker 3 (26:11):
What's happening?
Speaker 12 (26:13):
You do it tonight?
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Doing great? Man, doing great. It's rainy and code out
here in La. We don't know how to act. Everybody
act like I said, armor getting into the world. But
we know we're pushing through. Brother, It'll be okay. All right,
let's get started.
Speaker 9 (26:26):
Here.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (26:28):
Too much?
Speaker 4 (26:28):
Train?
Speaker 9 (26:28):
We can't do with that rain?
Speaker 3 (26:29):
Yeah, all right.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
We got the big game of the week Sunday as
the Eagles host the Lions. Philly is a two and
a half point favorite, even with a J Brown drama
that's all going on there. Where are the sharps on
this one?
Speaker 9 (26:45):
You know they've been all over the place on this Initially, Uh,
they basically laid the number on the Eagles. They laid
it initially when we open at one and a half,
they laid the two. They laid the two and a half,
took back a little bit at two, and they're sitting
pretty right now at two and a half. The shots
are definitely on the Eagles here. Joe Public is on
(27:06):
the Lions though, two to one. Clip and tickets and
money's about six to one in favor of the Lions here, So.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Yeah, I mean, they've been playing better football, but the
Lions are. I mean the Eagles are. You know, the
better team in the s is the better record and
raigning champs, so I can see why it's kind of
split that way. It's a battle at the top of
the NFC West Lamars the Seahawks. They're going to travel
to so far to take on the Rams. This should
be a good one. It's currently a tie atop that division,
so well, this decide who takes the lead. The Rams
are favorite, but the Seahawks have been humming on both
(27:35):
sides of the ball. So where are the experts on
this one?
Speaker 9 (27:40):
The experts who drive the market on this are all
on the Rams. I know Seattle's undefeated on the road,
but this is a classic jos versus pros game. The
Joe's are about two to one in favor of the Seahawks.
Money is two to one in favor of the Rams,
and it's sharps to lay this number as soon as
we open it up a two and a half and
(28:00):
we're sitting at three. So yeah, the Sharks are definitely
on the Rams. That were the public is all.
Speaker 12 (28:05):
On the seal, all right.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
This week's international game is in Madrid, where I've been
as the Dolphins face the Commanders is averaging the I
should say, Washington is averaging the six highest yards per
carry average in the NFL, wile of Dolphins are allowing
the fifth high.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
At such average, do you see the.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
Commanders having a dominant day on the ground against that defense.
Speaker 9 (28:31):
Based upon the betting market here, definitely not. I mean
this is Sharps and Joe's money. It looks pretty ugly
if you're Commander's fan. Money's about fifteen to one in
favor of the Dolphins. Ticket counts about three to one
favorite Dolphins and the Sharks. Of late, that number soon
(28:51):
as we open up at one, went to one and
a half and sitting pretty yet two and a half
right now, So it's definitely Joe's and the pros are
all on the Dolphins here, so it doesn't look like
the Commanders will be able to run the ball.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
All right, I want to go to this one. This
is a weird, kind of a tricky one. Green Bay
has really been struggling in recent weeks, right, having looked good,
and they faced the Giants on the road this week.
Despite struggling, though, they're still favored by more than a touchdown.
Speaker 7 (29:15):
Here.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
It's set to be Jameis Winston, so we might get
five touchdowns and five interceptions. He's going to be at
the center for New York. Would this look any different
than this with Jackson Darter? Or maybe does he and
Winston around the same?
Speaker 9 (29:27):
You know, that's that's a funny. That's a weird question
you asked, because I mean, the Packers have struggled offensively
the last few games, and it's been evidenced by how
the shots have bet this total from forty four and
a half down to forty four, and the public they're
still they're still on the Packers six to one. Quip
and tickets money's about ten to one. But the sharps
(29:50):
have kind of been back and forth. So I believe
if Jackson dark were playing, you might see more money
from the Sharps on the Giants, because right now the
shots are basically fifty to fifty in this game, but
the public is still all on Packers.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
I can see Jamie's doing some big things, so yeah,
throw four and interceptions, here we go.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
You know, I know that's him all over.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
The Bengals head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers
this week. Both offenses are competent, but both defenses have struggled.
Or on the top of that, five straight Bengals games
have hit the over. I have to assume that there
are a lot of action on the over point total
in this one.
Speaker 9 (30:31):
Oh, you're you're absolutely right there, Rob. The money is
about three to one in favor of the over, and
the ticket counts about three to one in favor of
the over. Not very much money coming in on the
under right now, and looks like the shots have actually
bet this on the over two as well, because we're
going to see, you know, Joe Flacco can put up
some points and this might be a game where the
Steelers offense gets healthy, so we'll see what happens. But
(30:53):
definitely they've bet me over on this game. Both sides
from the jaals En approach.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
All right, Lamar Mitchell bettan GM director of Trading, joining
couple Robin Kelvin on a funky flashback Friday. So I'm
looking at the bor Lamar. The Monday night game is
tied for the highest point total of the week as
the Cowboys face the Raiders in Vegas. Overs are five
to one and the Cowboys the last six games, and
I'm assuming that most of the action is on over
there with them, right.
Speaker 9 (31:19):
Well, you know that that's a funny thing you should say,
because they get transaction, you know, because the Raiders can't
score recently, and the Cowboys put up a thinker as
far as score points last week when they before they
went in their buy. I think it counts about three
to one on the under. But the money, the money,
the actual big money that's coming in on the total
(31:39):
because they know the Cowboys defenses and allowed any body
to you they've allowed everybody to score. It looks like
the money is coming in at about a three to
one clips on the over. So the shops haven't really
done anything with this on this total, so the public
has split. You got the big money coming in on
the on the total over, but you got the volume
(32:00):
of transactions on the under, so you know Raiders central
here in Cowboys. So we'll see what happens on Monday night,
all right.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Looking on the board, the biggest point spread on the week,
the Ravens favorite by seven and a half over the Browns,
even with the awesome mark Browns defense allowing the second
lowest yards per game in the NFL and Lamar Jackson
dealing with the knee soreners this week.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
Should we take this is a sign of.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
That the Ravens are back and form or is it
more about how terrible the Browns are or a little
bit of both.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
What goes into the points spread in this game?
Speaker 9 (32:34):
Not so fast as that lead Corso would say. The
Jacks have been on the Browns on the misbelieve it
or not, and that could be because of the injury
report with Lamar Jackson on there, But they definitely took
when we first opened this game up, they took the
points and bet it all the way down to seven
and a half. Where we're at now. They basically bet
(32:54):
this total down, so they're giving the Browns some credit
on their defense. So the public is definitely on the Ravens,
but the Sharps basically we have been saying, hey, these
are too many points and we don't know how healthy
Lamar Jackson is going to be in this situation, So
we'll see what happens versus Bros.
Speaker 4 (33:13):
Yeah, it's a divisional game, familiar foe, so you know,
I could see that last one for me. Patrick Mahomes
and the Chiefs traveling to Devor to face the Broncos
this week, the Chiefs looking to avoid losing two straight
games for the second time this season. They haven't lost
two straight multiple times in the season since twenty seventeen, Lamar,
So does that affect this line at all? Just kind
of the history of them and losing twice in a row.
Speaker 9 (33:34):
Well, the one thing they have going for them and
not losing too straight of like when the Patriots at Brady,
they wouldn't lose too straight very often. But you're right,
as long as the Chiefs have number fifteen, that goes
into the equation for making this line here. We haven't
had a lot of action on this that Joseph been on.
Speaker 7 (33:53):
The piece.
Speaker 9 (33:53):
Of course, money and trends and tickets is about three
to one in both, but the public we initially opened
this at four, and because like we were just talking
about the other game with the Bengals and the Steelers,
this is a divisional game and the Sharps took that
four immediately. And we're still sitting pretty yet minus three
and a half on the Chiefs. So as long as
the Chiefs have number fifteen, it's gonna be hard for
(34:15):
them to lose two.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
In a row. I don't know about that.
Speaker 1 (34:17):
I know you guys are all thinking like this is before,
but the Broncos defense is unbelievable and this isn't the
same Chiefs team.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
They haven't beaten. They're not beating any good teams. Look
at their record, they haven't beaten anybody. That's the scary part.
Speaker 1 (34:32):
And last year they were eleven and oh lamar in
one score games.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
This year zero to four.
Speaker 9 (34:40):
And I will say this, rob the Broncos defense has
played from JV offenses recently, so their defense is statten
up those numbers from JV offenses. So we'll see what happens.
But that's why they play the games right, no doubt is.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
And that's why we got NFL Picks game pick them
coming up too.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
That's why I'm winning that you know I'm winning that leg.
Speaker 4 (34:59):
Yeah, Lamar, thanks, Thank you, brother, appreciate it always.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
I have a great weekend, no doubt.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
Appreciate the NFL picks here pick them coming up plus

Speaker 3 (36:09):
What's up? John?
Speaker 7 (36:11):
What's up?
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Guys?
Speaker 7 (36:12):
That was going great?
Speaker 6 (36:13):
Good?
Speaker 7 (36:15):
Okay, I just I just wanted to make a big point.
I think we're missing about step shoes, and not just
step shoes, but the basketball shoes in the shy as
a whole. Right now, it is not going at all
towards fashion like it was in the two thousands, like
it was in the nineties. Obviously, Jordan made shoes that
(36:36):
were horrible to play in. His shoes were horrible to
play in, but you could wear them out on your
day to day. Almost every basketball play those shoes now
that they're making, they're actually for the court. And the
last player to really be able to make both of
those mixed together was Kobe. He made shoes that you
could play on the court and that you could actually wear.
(36:56):
But if no one's wearing them every day now just
because they're wait for the court.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
I get that.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
But Steph' shoes was never good. He never sold anything.
And my point to you, John is he was such
a big star, everybody wanted to imitate and be Steph Curry.
I'm shocked that they didn't at least try to be
like Yo, I want the jersey, I want the sneakers
he has on, I want something.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
It never he never moved the needle.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, is that fair?
Speaker 8 (37:28):
You would see you would see yeah, that's fair.
Speaker 12 (37:30):
You would you would see a shoes like.
Speaker 7 (37:33):
In a pickup game or something. But you're right around
around town.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Around with them like you saw obviously Jordan's on.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
If you are Kobe's if you're in a hospital and
you looked at the person pushing the wheelchairs, they would
probably have those on.
Speaker 4 (37:50):
Doubt security.
Speaker 13 (37:53):
Who you know whom?
Speaker 7 (37:54):
It's the old guy that need the ankle support.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
Man, I'm all right, job, I appreciate you, man, thank
you some new Let me see if he got any
that I like. Go, hey, all right, well, we got
to get to the NFL picks. Let's do it.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
Got two minutes.
Speaker 4 (38:09):
Let's go, go, go, go go, let's go.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
You ready to retire, Let's make it happens.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
The skin pick up, I mean like making rice and stuff.
Speaker 6 (38:22):
Now, Alex lowered the music so that he could get
that for a drop. I know, I know what he
is here, but anyway, let's jump in. So the Detroit
Lions are going to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. The Eagles,
as the home team, are favored by two and a
half points. Start with you, rob, who you got I.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Got Philly all day. I mean this will be six
and four, said the commander. Quick Detroit, Go Detroit, all right?
Speaker 3 (38:46):
Next up?
Speaker 6 (38:46):
The Kansas City Chiefs are favored by three and a
half points over the Denver Broncos. The Broncos home team.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
Though, Broncos defense is good and they'll stop my homes.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
All right next time.
Speaker 6 (38:57):
The Seattle Seahawks are going to Los Angees to face
the Rams. The Rams are favored by three and a
half points as the home team.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
Seahawks Rams. See Kelvin's a home. He just picks the
home teams.
Speaker 6 (39:09):
Cincinnati Bengals are going to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers.
The Steelers are favored by five and a half points
as the home team.
Speaker 3 (39:15):
Who you got, Steelers?
Speaker 4 (39:17):
Steelers?
Speaker 3 (39:18):
Unbelievable. You can't even give that one up.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
I fell, I threw up.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
I know I threw threw up in your mouth. I
know you did, all right.
Speaker 6 (39:26):
And the last one. The Buccaneers are going two Orchard
Park to face the Buffalo Bills. Bills are favored by
five and a half points.
Speaker 4 (39:32):
Who you got, Wow, I'm going Bills. That's a tough one.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
I'm gonna take Tampa. They they'll lose, but they'll cover
that five minutes.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
That's not crazy, that's not crazy.
Speaker 6 (39:42):
You're right, Rob, you we're getting two minutes there you go.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
All right? And what about last week? Do you have
all the numbers?
Speaker 4 (39:46):
Yeah, we have those.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (39:47):
So the running total now is Rob, you're at twenty
five and twenty five. Calvin, you're at twenty and thirty Wow.
Speaker 3 (39:54):
Five game lead. Yeah, man, man, I do.
Speaker 4 (39:57):
I can't even do the math to what I did
last week.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
I would tell I'm about one last week and to
last week.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
You got to the Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon
is coming up next.
Speaker 4 (40:06):
I never missed your radio show. I never hear it,
so I never miss it. Did you hear that?
