Let's give this part.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Welcome in our number three of the Odd Couple, Rob Parker,
Chris Broussard, and we're broadcasting live from the tire rack

free road has a protection and over ten thousand recommended

be coming up in about twenty eight minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
JR.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Gamble from mlbbro dot com and we'll do a little
foul affair, so you want to stick around for that.
But first we're gonna talk a little college football Colorado
and namely Dion Sanders, who Chris, I'm a little surprised

(01:27):
at how worked up Dion is when it comes to
the media. As a guy who's been around for a
long time, has had a lot of success, and he's
had run ins with the media.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Tim McCarver.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Do you remember that famous one at the World Series
when he dumped water.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
On Tim mccarver's head. You remember that, You remember that?

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, So he's had some issues, but he's had a
lot of success in his career. Obviously a Hall of famer,
Pro Football Hall of Fame, he had some moments in baseball.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
I'm a little just surprised that.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Where Dion is going with this and this this is
a battle because you don't win, You're not gonna win.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Well, did you already play? No? No, just hear the sound.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
This is Rob Gs is a recent press conference he
had yesterday.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Here's what he said. Well, look what he said.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Rob was accurate in that I'm not talking about him
being on the cross.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
I was gonna say that that not that part.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
But yeah, but I'm talking about and he's you know,
he's using it as a figure speech. You know, some
people probably offended by it. You know, obviously compare yourself
to Jesus Christ, who he he serves Jesus Christ. It
talks a lot about his faith and all that. But
I think he just meant it like, you know, I'm
being persecuted. The thing is, I mean, if you want

(02:54):
to take the Jesus comparison, Jesus was innocent, you know,
and what Dion Dion has done and he's obviously not
guilty of any type of crime or anything serious like that.
But when you talk like Dion does, when you challenge

(03:15):
the media like Dion does, when you gloat in front
of the media, when you do have success, like what
was it a worker Ed Werner?

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Right, like the very first game, Chris, Remember he won
the game? Uh, and and then just went right at him.
Now what you think now would you say like it
was like and when you enjoy the game that you
won with your kids? Who do you care for reporting? Chris?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
We're reporters. What don't care? You really care what I think? Seriously,
I don't get it.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Well, obviously some do, you know, but but I like,
that's the thing. And he's got a great personality, very colorful,
very charismatic.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
I told you I had dinner with Dion years ago, Chris,
Like like years ago when he was a baseball player.
It was me, him and Eric Davis, the red center
fielder in LA. I had a great time. You know
what I mean conversation. I'm not like, I'm just saying
I like Dion, but we've been around him a lot.
I like Dion, but I I think this is just

(04:19):
the wrong road he's going down.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Well, first of all, when you have that personality that
does sell tickets, that does get celebrities to the game,
that just draw attention to your program, if you don't win,
that attention is going a lot of it's going to
become negative.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
And that's what has happened. Uh. And when you challenge
the meat, I agree he shouldn't.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
It's it's it's strange the way he is challenging the media.
And and he's not gonna, Like you said, he's not
gonna win this battle.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
I'm not gonna win. You really can't win.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
The battle long term with the media. The media is
always gonna have the mic. I'm going to be that longer,
Chris hype the computer that they can write their stories.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
And we'll have a longer longer.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Long after you're gone, those columnists and people are still
going to be in Colorado.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
They will be rob We You and I have seen.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Many players, many enter the leagues we covered and leave
the leagues we covered and we're still there. I was
in you know a lot of times after the TV.
First things first, I'll walk Rob to Penn station, you
know that take the train home, and it's about almost
two miles walk.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
It's like, yeah, it's a little exercise for me.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
And a few months ago, I saw a former Knicks
player who during his career would not have been able
to walk down the street without being accosted. And I
don't mean in a negative way, but you know, people
would have been all over him.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Because now he's not playing anymore. He man, people don't
even recognize him. It's more people recognizing me than him.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
And and and I'm just saying, like we last long,
our career is gonna be longer, and we're always gonna
have the pen.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
We're always gonna have We're gonna have the last word. Yes,
and you can't win.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
And also though Rob, because now I guess some of
them might say, well, I'm gonna get in your business.
I'm gonna have a mic too, And that's true. Michael
Parsons got a mic, Kevin Gardiner pop, Here's a lot
of these ex players have mics.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
That's cool. I don't have a. I don't have a
problem with it. But Dion also, Rob.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Isn't gonna win this because his team's just not there.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Right and Chris, ultimately that's that's what you're gonna be
judged on. And we always say this, when you win,
you could get away with a lot of stuff. You
could do a lot of stuff, and people it's hard
to come back at you.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
When you win.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Chris Bill Belichick got away with the being surely to
the media because he was able to win when he
was in Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Chris, they he couldn't get away with it. They win it.
Why he got fired was the media. His terrible relationship
with the media there. So yeah, and Dion, Yeah, I
mean they're robbed.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
That team.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
They played Colorado State in state rival this weekend, and
what's the spread in that game there? I think they're
favored by seven, robjek check that out. I think it's seven.
But it's at Colorado State. They beat him in double over.
Colorado beat Colorado State, remember that last year?

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Last year?

Speaker 4 (07:36):
Yeah, so it's not gonna be an easy game. It's
it's there's a lot of Remember there was the bad
blood between the coaches last year, and I just don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
I mean they Colorado.

Speaker 4 (07:50):
I think before the season, I was thinking maybe six wins,
five wins. It's possible they don't get four. Wow, I
mean possible.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
How many Wayne been to this year? I't got no idea.
Do you remember that christ celebrities last year?

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I know Terrell Owens was at
the first game on the sidelines. But yeah, it's gonna
be tough on him. And I just like you said,
I don't I don't think this is becoming of Dion.
I just don't go at the media like this because
he doesn't need He's such a great you know, arguably

(08:30):
you Rob. You know, I've said it before, arguably the
greatest American athlete.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
I mean, if you just.

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Go pure athleticism and ability, this dude was a Hall
of Fame football. Most people say the best defensive back ever.
Rob did play a little bit of two way right
receiver a little bit obviously, was a great kick returner.
And then I think Rob, had he focused on baseball,
could have had a Hall of Fame career in baseball.

(08:57):
I mean he was great. Did he hit like five
seventy four in the World Series?

Speaker 2 (09:02):
No, he did. He never made an All Star team
during the regular season. But but but he wasn't really, no, no.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
He was.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
He was a good player, don't get me wrong, But
because I think the only guy, uh, I think both Jackson,
yeah made it, both Chris and if he and if
he didn't get hurt.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
You know, it was arguably the greatest. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
I mean, there's it's all. There's a lot of right
names you can throw. Well, both Jackson was.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
He was an All All Pro and an All Star,
like nobody's done that. And that's where he sets itself along, yep,
because of injury.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
But my point is Dionis should be above that. I
just think, you know what I mean, like because he's
so accomplished and so great as an athlete and revered
in that regard. And he got a lot of love
even Rob for going to Jackson State, right, and we
loved that program.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Right, So I loved everything he was doing about that.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
So I just think, you know, and and now he's
got a son that's gonna be going to the NFL.
He's got another player, Travis Hunter, who you know, he's
obviously maybe a father figure too, and he's gonna be
having great you know, be in the NFL. We'll see
what kind of career he has. But I just don't
think he needs to like have this fight with the media.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
It's just it's it's unwinnable.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
And and if I would give anybody advice, like just
let people do, go out, do your best job, answer
the questions.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
When you don't answer the questions, Chris, guess.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
What you give people a free license to interpret and
speak for you.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Okay, that's what they do. If you won't tell me,
then I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Just I'm the guess. I'm a guess. I'ma I'm gonna
take it upon myself to tell you what I think.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Is going on here. That's all. Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
I used to tell the PR guys with Dave Debrowski
was the general manager for the Tigers. I mean them
at an adversarial relationship, right.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
And I just say, dude, you got one or two choices.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
You could have Dave talked to me for this column
or I'll write it without them.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
Which one do you want? Would you share it? What
are you talking?

Speaker 1 (11:14):
And then but they go get him because if you
want to soften the blow at all, right, no, you
we're gonna put your point of view in there.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
I'm asking to talk to me, then, right, I'll just right,
And that's absolutely right. And so I'm pulling for Dion.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
I'm certainly pulling for Shador and Travis Hunter as well.
That's gonna be It's gonna be a long year. Yeah,
it might not even be as good as last year. Rap, No,
it might not be.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
And even last year when we thought about it, who
they play in Game one, who played in the National
Championship gets was that yeah, yep, And then we wound
up seeing that they weren't that good when they because
when they first beat them, we didn't know that teas
you Chris was gonna go was on their way to
a bad season, right, So we were like that last year, Yeah,

(12:05):
they beat the team that was in the National.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Championship nowhere and that, yeah, And I think that raised Dion's.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Like thoughts of what they could do.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
Too, oh, no doubt, you know, because we didn't know
for a one win team, And it's hard to blame him, like,
you know, he beat the seventeenth I think they were
seventeenth TCU when they beat him. But yeah, I also Rob,
I think obviously the problem with Colorado is their lack
of uh line play offensively and defensively. That's a big

(12:42):
problem for them. And I just hope shador Ken doesn't
get hurt because he takes.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
A lot of shots. He's under a lot of pressure.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
I think last year was sacked about fifty two times
something like that, And so you want him to stay
hell too because their lack of line play is an issue.
So all right, it's The Eye Couple Chris and Rob

Culver City. All buddy, you're on the couple Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
What's up, keV? God it is good all the time,
all the time.

Speaker 7 (14:53):
Hey, Chris Man, I just want to tell you before
man from bottom my heart, man, blessed to see you
and your family on your next Devas on your sush endeavors.
You've been amazing for sports, for the sports landscape, WI
your sources, multiple sources.

Speaker 5 (15:06):
In the NBA.

Speaker 7 (15:07):
You're the best. You're the number one uh uh you
know reporter when you were doing that, and you know
it's a tough wa to see you go, but I
know you know you're gonna be doing big things. So
thanks for everything, especially what you've done for black reporters
as a whole, and you together.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
Man, I appreciate that means a lot.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
That's very nice. Cav don't forget the new show Stoughts
on Monday.

Speaker 7 (15:29):
Don't go No Dion And that song you played before
on the drop, that's a great song. Ye, Dion, I
don't know what Dion is doing here. He was the
number one media dolling when he was working for the
NFL network. He would get the number one question of
every Super Bowl and then the media dn they be.

Speaker 5 (15:48):
They bought him up.

Speaker 7 (15:49):
They built him up to be the number one story
in college football. Every conservative, the liberal TV. Dion was
the talk of college football with Colorado. What was doing?

Speaker 5 (16:00):
They He was not more story?

Speaker 7 (16:02):
So he loved taking all the interviews. Then you gotta
take the good with the bad. And if you're gonna
lead a you know, a team of men, you got
to show even when it's adversity that you're still strong
because you're follow with you and they don't want to
see that.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
It can't be just when things are good. Calv that's
not life.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
And he does seem like to soak it up when
it's good, but then when it's bag, you know, has
an attitude and stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
So yeah, that's that's a great point, no doubt.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Thanks so much, Charlie and Dayton Ohio. You're on the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
What's up?

Speaker 8 (16:35):
It's always an honor to talk to you guys. I
ain't talk to you guys in a while.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
My man, good. Thank you.

Speaker 8 (16:40):
Yes, And I love my Ohio family. You know, I
always fell close to Anny, my Ohio family. But uh,
I always think about you know, I love Dion. I've
always loved being on my whole life. And I thought
that there was a.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
I thought there might have.

Speaker 8 (16:57):
Been a chance for him to come to be the
head coach Cincinnati when Luke people left, and so I've
always like played it out in my head, like how
it would have won you know, and if we're in
this situation right now and I you know, you guys
are talking about how he's so accomplished you shouldn't have
to defend himselves, and that is right, But do you

(17:18):
think you know, because you think about I think it
was Nick Bosa he got hurt like the first game
of the year and then he just gets the rest
of the year. And like Jamar Chase skipped his whole
last year. But like you have Shador and you have
Travis Hunter. As far as I know, those guys are
locked in the top twenty picks, am I role.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
I mean they're projected as that. You know, you never
want to say definite lot with you know, but yeah,
they're they're projected as that.

Speaker 8 (17:49):
It like like if they stopped playing football right now,
they both be first.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
Round picks, right yeah, I think so you would think
so that they got enough tape that that ran wouldn't
change your mind on them.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
And I do. And we can see where you're going.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
And and Rob, I think like if they really start
taking lumps, and they obviously took them last year, but
if they're just you know, they enter the Big twelve
and they're getting hammered and Shaudur is getting teed off
on Rob that might that might be a smart move.

Speaker 8 (18:19):
Well, I just think that guilt might be in play here.
Guilt as far as what it's like, like why and
Dion becoming defensive? You think because it's like he knows that,
like he knows these kids don't have to play no
more for themselves, but he has to have them play.

Speaker 7 (18:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
I just I don't. Yeah, I don't. I don't think that.
I'm sure they want to play too. Oh, I just
I just don't.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
I just think it's just it's surprising that Dionna is
just such like like he's so bothered. Colorado was a
bad program. That's how you got hired, you know what
I mean, Chris, Like, so that's how you got hired. Yeah,
And when you come in and you're talking a big
game and all that, and you're calling people out when

(19:07):
you win games, what.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Do you expect? I just told you, right, what do
you expect? Right? All right?

Speaker 4 (19:13):
A couple eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, Deon
Sanders says he's being persecuted, Rob G what's your take
on this?

Speaker 9 (19:25):
I mean, Dion does bring all of this on himself,
and that's why I have no issue with people who
like to pile on him when things go sideways like
they did against Nebraska, like they did against or again
last year, like did against Stanford. It's like, if you're
gonna be showing off the rolex and yelling in edwards phase,

(19:48):
do you believe now? You can't ask questions if you
didn't believe in us before, when things go sideways, you
better sit there and take all of it.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
Nah, that's how it works. That's how it works. So
all right, Uh, it's The Odd Couple. We got fair
or foul? Foul or fair with our man JR. Gamble
coming up mlbbro dot COM's own, but first.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
That is, it was a big week in the big leagues.
Who's A Who's A? Is it foul? Or is it fair?

Speaker 3 (20:39):
And now from mlbtbro dot Com, here's JR. Gamball.

Speaker 9 (20:45):
That's right, for the last time in history, we got
a baseball legend swinging in with Chris and robow to
discuss all the biggest headlines around the diamond.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
You gotta do it properly with our man Jr.

Speaker 10 (21:00):
Yeah, Oh, who who's sang that song?

Speaker 5 (21:12):
Boys and men?

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Let's keep it that way.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Come on, jail, are you found that?

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Six years? For six years?

Speaker 5 (21:20):
I have that one man? I hope good last time
ever that I get to seek some baseball with your guys.
But hey, if it is, it's been. It's been a
nice ride. It's been a nice four year ride doing

(21:43):
fair foul with you two guys.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
You know y'all keeping fair foul or fair we are,
We're not. That's not going anywhere next week.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
No, it just won't be the same. It won't. It
won't be exactly the same. But we'll carry on the
tradition together. I'm sure Robin do a great job.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
I'm doing that, yes, sir, All right, guys, you know
all works. I got three baseball questions. Because Jr.

Speaker 9 (22:09):
Is started the segment, he gets the first crack at
every single one of them. So let's get to it.
Dodgers pitcher Yoshi Nobu Yamamato, because sometime struck out eight
and gave up one run across four Indies in his
first big league action in three months. Last night, one
player even said that he looked quote better than ever
in his first game back. Now with Yoshi back, Tyler

(22:29):
Glass now reportedly on coming back soon Jr. Foul are
fair to say that Dodgers have enough pitching to win
a World Series, foun So that is a fall ball.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
Unfortunately, I think the only reliable and totally healthy arm
that the start of rotation has right now is Jack Flaherty.
Getting Yamamoto back surely a pluck, but we don't know
what his last only really means. He's been out for
three months. We don't know how else for how big
he'll be able to pitch in games in the playoffs.
You know, four innings is a positive start, but they

(23:07):
really have no clue how to ro tay the cuff's
going to hold up under the stress of pitchers in
the postseason. I'm just saying to be telling about reliability,
He's not really the guy. Tyler Glass Now, Katon Kershaw,
Gavin Stone, They're all on the il is up in
the air, whin most of them will even return. And
as far as Glass now goes, you know, he's never
picked over one hundred and twenty in eight seasons before

(23:28):
Felas so he's got one thirty four. So that's not
looking good their top five era. But I don't know
if they got enough, man, I really don't.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
I'm a say fair.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
They've played good ball obviously over the second half of
the season, one of the hottest teams in the league
or hotter teams in the league. And they they give
up a lot of dingers, that's one thing they do.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
They give up a lot of homers.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
But I do think their rotation is gonna be rounding
in the shop at just the right time. Of course,
injury can always happen, but I think from what I see,
if they hit the ball, well, they do have enough pigeon, I'm.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Gonna say foul. That is a foul.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
It's just that Chris on paper and we know it's
a big difference between paper and actual on paper. If
you look at those guys, you say, sure, but they
but you don't know if they're gonna hold up, how
they're gonna come back.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Then a lot of them lost a lot of time.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Clayton Kershaw again, they're trying to keep them together with glue,
tape and sticks.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
You know what, I mean, like every year.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
This is the reason the Dodgers have been so good
over the last decade. Chris, But how many World Series
have they won? Just the one because the pitching for
whatever it is just right and that was the only
one that they won.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
So I it's.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Just a lot of question marks if everything goes right.
It's just too many things have to go right for
them to win.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
All right.

Speaker 9 (24:56):
Question number two Fouland fair in the air couple Jr.
Gambling with the guys. Jax Surezer he's been out since
early August and Jacob M. Grom has been out since April.
Are both planning on joining the Raiders the Rangers pitching
rotation in the next week or so. Only problem is
Texas currently seven games back of the Wildcard, which is
seventeen games left to play entering Wednesday. So Jr foul

(25:19):
or fair to say that Scherzer into Grom should just
shut it down and avoid the risk of re injury
given that the Rangers are not going to make the postseason.

Speaker 5 (25:30):
Fount that is a foul ball.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Look, this will be quick for all three of us.
Just go quickly.

Speaker 5 (25:37):
Yeah, yeah, you know, honestly, the Groom's always injured and
if it's a rare moment when he can't pitch, then
let him because you don't know when he'll be hurt again.
Sures the same way as Grandpa SS. At this point, right,
sit down and rest avoid injury. Like, what are we
resting for? He's forty the grim like Rob said, he's
held together with tape and some paper clip, right for

(25:59):
the last three four years. So no picked now, because
who knows that they'll pick next year?

Speaker 2 (26:05):
I say, foul That is a foul ball when you're.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Healthy their players, and you gotta go out and play
if you're healthy. But waiting around and missing a whole
year and our pitching doesn't make any sense, even at
their rage. You gotta see what they got and if
they can feel good, Chris, if they can have a
couple of good starts, you know what I mean, you
feel good and optimistic about next year?

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Fair?

Speaker 10 (26:26):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (26:28):
I mean, what is the pitching a few times over
the last seventeen games isn't gonna do anything for next year?
They might get hurt over the summer, certainly the Grimes,
that's a possibility. Yeah, I mean no, it just does
that does nothing for them. It's not like it's gonna

(26:48):
carry over the next year. The year is too far away.
Like rest these guys, have them get a good offseason
and hopefully bring them back next year, and and they
can pitch the whole season. I mean no, I just
don't see any point in bringing these guys back now none.

Speaker 9 (27:07):
That's how you know. Chris covered the NBA exactly, load management.
I love it all right, last one foul or fair
Jr gamble with Brussard and Parker for the last time together.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
JR.

Speaker 9 (27:18):
MLB dot Com published an article today ranking what they
believe are the most interesting Awards races heading down the
home stretch. Surprisingly, both the al n n L CY
Young races were ranked near the bottom, mostly because it's
a lock. Basically that target Schooball and the Tigers and
Chris sail the Braves are gonna win.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
The Awards Jr.

Speaker 9 (27:39):
Given that school Ball and Sale both have a shot
at the pitching triple Crown, is it faul or fair
to say that cy Young races are actually more interesting
than the MVP races.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
That is a foul ball.

Speaker 5 (27:56):
Well, I think none of these races have an interesting
When the winners excited by the All Star break that's
the problem. You know, pitching crowns aren't as exciting to
me as baseball as a hitting triple crown, although they're
probably just as rare. But Joel Tony basically won the
MVP in April, you know, when he started the season.
Everybody call him the MVP. Aaron Judge had his MVP

(28:19):
in a bag. By the All Star break. Junior made
a late run, but only because everybody needs an opponent,
right or be really boring. Even the thy young rates
has been pretty uneventful. School Ble dominated from game one
with the Tigers and Sale he just had this remarkable
He's in his oldest age. But no, the biggest names
in baseball probably o Time and Judge, and they're an

(28:41):
MVP candidate. So I wouldn't see the pitching grace being
as exciting as the two biggest names in baseball doing
that game.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Yeah, I must say foul. Oh, I'm sorry, No, that
is a fallI ball.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
I mean, I do think Judge has it wrapped up
in the American League?

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Is it?

Speaker 7 (29:03):
Is it?

Speaker 4 (29:03):
Definitely? I mean does Bobby Witt Junior he got a shot, right,
I don't.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Know in a lot of category.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
His first and homers in RBI obviously, and you know
with leads in batting average.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (29:20):
I mean, I think with Junior's got a shot, and
I just think there's a little buzz about the MVPs,
so I, like JR said, it's just more exciting in
general in the side.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Yeah, I think I'm gonna say foul two from that point.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
That is a foul.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
I just think the pitching triple crown isn't nearly as
sexy as as the idea that some people are calling
for Francisco lindor, you know, like like what he's been
able to do, like that he should be in the race.
I don't believe that if Otani's a fifty to fifty guy,
he's not gonna win the m v P. No body's

(30:00):
ever done that when you do something like that, So
that's something to look for, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
There's a couple of things there.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
So I still think it's the MVP race and the
Judge and with Junior, I'm not positive that we can
catch them, but Judge has struggled in the last ten
twelve games, right right, yes, So all.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
Right, j R. Man, j R. Man, it was great brother,
You did a wonderful job, and I'm important to hearing you.
Continue to hear you here on the Iye couple. I'll
be listening.

Speaker 5 (30:33):
I appreciated Chris, cy Young and Rob. You're my MVP.
Let's go my man?

Speaker 2 (30:40):
All right, brother Nat. Have you seen Chris throw a ball?

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Though the last time he threw a ball we had
to catch out back here a Fox Sports radio.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
They're still looking for the ball, but they think Chris
is going to be all right. No, nothing, not funny
at all. Alex nothing, Alex. Next week, we're having lays tomorrow,
Alec nothing.

Speaker 11 (31:00):
Well, when the company pays, we're having we got a
big lunch tomorrow. Christ should come.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
I wish I could believe me.

Speaker 11 (31:08):
May Oh, it's only happening because you're leaving this Chris.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Let me tell you. You think you know?

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Do you you won't get on my case about about
ordering extra food or whatever. Do you think we're out
of line? We're going to order a whole cheesecake from
Cheesecake back to me.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
I think, honestly, I think that's more in line. That's
that's like more in bounds than ordering a second meal.
I really do, because it leaves to go you know
we're gonna bring the cheesecake to the to the.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Studio and everybody's gonna get there. Let's talk about that
next because I think let's do that.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
More Couple coming away Fox Sports Radio.

on The Odd Couple.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
I think you're right on that one, Chris, Rob G
eighty six is song Alex. Okay, Rob, this is done.
We're going you get.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Rid of all the gospel music.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
No, Chris Calvin is a man of good the you
need to keep worsing Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
We'll talk with Kelvin tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Matter of fact, when we have the big Odd Couple
lunch Chris tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
How you having an eye couple lunch without me? We'll
get to that in a minute. Let me do this reading.

Speaker 9 (32:34):
You imagine if Chris showed up and then he's taking
last day.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
That would be something.

I feel cheap like you ain't nobody, Chris, You ain't
special with me there.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Right, Rob. When we first signed our contract, that's where
we went.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
Probably both contracts, or the first, I guess the second
when I was here, Yeah, first or the first one though,
that's where we signed it.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
Well, you know it's close by, and we like the
food and tomorrow now, robbed you you looked up to
what a what a cheesecake?

Speaker 2 (33:29):
Chris?

Speaker 1 (33:29):
So it's like about eleven or twelve dollars of slice.
There's gonna be like five of us.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Ooh, one must a whole, one must cast seventy five
or eighty? Would you say, Rob? Eight dollars?

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Really eight zero for a cheesecake. And none of the
Golden girls have tasted now, but you know what, it's funny, Chris.
And then this this is odd. A couple of pe
one listens will appreciate it. I was never planning on
getting cheesecake. I don't think Alex was planning on getting cheesecake.
Who knows if Elijah's ou here to if he was
planning getting cheesecake. But Rob comes in like, hey, if
we're all getting cheesecake, we might as well get an

(34:04):
old to go.

Speaker 4 (34:06):
I'm like, okay, hey, you all will eat it though,
I believe well, Alex know, Alex loves the vanilla bean.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Alex, You're gonna have cheesecake, cheesecake, Gley.

Speaker 11 (34:15):
I'll probably bring it home with the lady. Yeah, pleat
it together.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
It's vegans like you.

Speaker 11 (34:20):
Uh yeah, we definitely have a lot of similarities and
all that stuff health wise, everything.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Okay, beautiful.

Speaker 11 (34:25):
Chris, you're gonna be the You're gonna be the ordained
for the wedding.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Right, hey, whatever you need?

Speaker 11 (34:31):
Man you down, Chris is.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
I'm not an ordain He's not ordained the state of cal.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
Anywhere. I want you to have it.

Speaker 9 (34:41):
You can do it, Chris, Iowa, Sam, Yeah, Damn is ordained.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Yes, yes, so is Jason Smith. What. Yes, you can
do it, Chris, I think you do.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
On the side, there are Dame ministers.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
Yes, yeah, that's good. Tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
So tomorrow we're gonna have a lunch. I don't think
when the company takes you out right for this moment,
you should just get whatever you want, not overdo it, Chris.
But wouldn't you get whatever you want if you want
to fill ay tomorrow? Wouldn't you get one?

Speaker 5 (35:14):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (35:15):
Yeah, because you know my motto. When the company pays, well,
that's right.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
And so we're gonna eat well tomorrow we might do
a drink too, double.

Speaker 11 (35:25):
Drinks, a couple of drinks at least.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
Are y'all going before the show? Games drink before the show?
Why I'll gonna be woozy tomorrow.

Speaker 11 (35:35):
Chris will drink for you to sober.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
Rob tows the line, I mean, my good. Wasn't he
gonna do a little little liquor anymore? After?

Speaker 1 (35:45):
When he gets all liquored up, right, it'll be like
very nice Christmas short of Rob parking, thank you for
six years?

Speaker 2 (35:52):
Right right? That's all's gonna sound. That's what I had.
A good gig ya that's going.

Speaker 4 (35:59):
We heard tonight the one that's gonna live, This is
gonna live for.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
It was a new one or Alex Bill Cosby's house too.
I had a drink and I woke up this roll.

on The Eyes show Down.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
I was disrobedlievable. The cup from I know, I know
that Marry on it, I know out there in so Cal.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
Shoot alight, all right, the Eye couple signing off. We
got two more to go, but keep it locked. Jason
