Lebron coming up in about twenty eight minutes, Lamar Mitchell
from bet MGM, the director of trading, rob GM.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
I'm in the lead by how many games? Now it's
a three? We are tied? How are we tied?

Speaker 5 (01:29):
Let's go hey, rob D.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Why whenever you tell me Kelvin's up or we're tired,
or why he always say that, how will we tied?

Speaker 4 (01:36):
I don't even understand it.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
All right, let's call as well, and the NFL big
skin pickoff that is coming up as well.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
All right, so let's talk.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I want to talk about Patrick Mahomes now, rob G.
Do we have sound on this or was this a story?
Can you jump in? Charles Robinson front of the odd
couple guy I knew when he worked at the Oakland Press,
and you remember the Oakland Press, right, the newspaper in
Oakland County, Michigan. Charles Robinson was a sports writer back then,

(02:10):
and now he was at Yahoo.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Has been a big star for a long time, rob G.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
That's right.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
So Charles penned this column that came out earlier on Friday,
previewing this Chiefs Bills game, which all due respect to
the Eagles commanders, this is the game of the weekend.
It's the one everyone's talking about. We just talked about.
It's likely going to be the most watched AFC Championship
game in television history. And the reason why everybody is
so interd in this game is not just that the

(02:37):
Chiefs were going for a three p It's that Josh
Allen and Patrick Mahomes in their careers have developed this
as some people were calling it a Tom Brady Peyton
Manning like rivalry. They're four and four against each other
head to head in their career. Now, obviously background was
wanting the playoffs and that's where the rubber meets the road.

(02:58):
But everybody's saying that this is the next quarterback rivalry. Well,
Charles Robinson in his column and it's actually an opinion piece,
said that's premature. And here's the reason why. As good
as Josh Allen is, I know, there's the four and
four and he's put on some great performances in the
playoffs against Patrick Mahomes until he actually beats him in
the postseason, this cannot be a rivalry. This cannot be

(03:22):
Madden versus Brady because it's all been one sided.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
It's hard to argue with that take because for a while,
and you noticed too, Kelvin being from ann Arbor, the
rivalry between Michigan Ohio State was dead for a while.
When Ohio State won fourteen out of fifteen or whatever
that number, remember that it was a terrible stretch. It
was like rivalry, like you gotta win once in a

(03:47):
while to make it a rivalry. And I can't disagree
with Charles from that standpoint.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Where are you on this?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
No, I mean that's the thing I think when I
think of Josh Allen rivals Lamar Jackson. For me, that's
the more proper comp to me when I think of
their probably uh, I think.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Of the guys who are trying to do this right now.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Patrick Mahomes from a football standpoint, is chasing ghosts like
he's chasing Joe Montana for our starters. And I'm with
you on that. That's a you know, that's fair. Let's
not do Joe like that.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I'm just I'm always sensing because two years ago he
was the goat did.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Guy the guy didn't do anything four and oh like
everybody acts like he didn't play like I hear like
lists and I think it's wrong.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Joe Montana. You know, it's like NBA. To me, there's
like three or four guys who say the goat. I
can understand. I might think it's person X, A, B
or C. But you you know I'm with that. Joe
Montana absolutely can jump in the riddle of this ring
and say no, I'm the goat, and that's a fair
point he would make. So, but that's what he's facing.
He's chasing Tom, He's chasing Joe Montana, and really that's it.

(05:01):
So he doesn't have a rival. It's kind of like
a stretch where Kobe really didn't have a rival because
his only rival was Jordan and Jordan was out the league.
So it's like, I'm chasing the guy who's got six.
Well I've got three, then four, then five. Can I
get to six?

Speaker 5 (05:17):
You know what I mean? And that was I'm chasing that.
He ain't got no rival.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
He was chasing Michael Jordan. I never did man, that
man walked chewed you.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
I'm talking about. I'm talking about like he could pass Jordan.
I never thought Kobe could pass. I mean, I think
there was an age saying that's me.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
I didn't. Yeah, like the Lebron thing, I get it
where people are.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
Right, but because it looked different because.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Kobe had Kobe had Shaq, And that is the part
that whether people want to acknowledge it or not. And
Rob G, you're a Lakers fan all through and through,
Shaq was a dominant player, a big time part of that,
you know, when they want to beast. Yeah, it's hard
to just say that was Kobe.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
He just wasn't no other without a doubt.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
But I mean, someone would argue it was Phil Jackson,
it was Dennis Robin, it was Pipping, not just Jordan.
When it was just Jordan's he was just scoring a
different games and wasn't doing nothing.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Those other guys could have won the m v P
during that time, like Pipping, Like I hear it at
all time.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Why didn't win an m v P.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
He wasn't Mike although he have you heard him lately?
Have you heard him lately?

Speaker 6 (06:21):
Rehil Jackson has said a few times and he thought
Scotty Pippen was a better overall player than Michael Jordan.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Okay, I'm just just saying he did say that.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
I'm just saying, could he have won m v P
if he was so great in any of those and
then he didn't go on to win anything.

Speaker 5 (06:39):
I'm trying to get.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Like I always do, Scotty Pippen was a better on
ball defender than Mike. He was a better passer than Mike.
But the bucks stopped there, you know what I mean, Like,
let's all right now. Mike was a heck of a defender,
not the best, but the heck of a defender.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
Infinitely better scored, you know, and he.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
Given Scotty pipping the last ball shot of the game.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
And what you're saying, and that was just a better scorer,
and then Scotty did and.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
What got the best out of Scottie a large attribute
You have to attribute a large portion of that to Mike.
What the reason we got the Scotty that we got
is because Mike had to push him and Scotty means it.
The one thing about Scotty Pitman, Scotty pit Pippen be
acting like the last dance didn't happen, Like we didn't
have him on camera admitting things and saying things because
he switched it up annually. Me and Mike were best

(07:25):
a friend. Next time, I ain't talked to him in
ten years. Next time, man, we couldn't have did it
without him. We needed he pushed us, he drove next time,
we absolutely could have won. He just told us, Rob
he just said he could have won six without Mike.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
He just said he could have won six without Mike. Now, Pip,
come on, Pip, don't go out like this. Don't go
out like this. We love you. Some people say, all
the best duo ever, best Batman and Robin like, don't
go out like this, Pippin. But back to my point,
that's what Patrick Mahomes is doing. In my opinion, he
doesn't have a rival, right who.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
Would it be?

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Josh Allen hasn't beat him in the postseason, Lamar, I
can't beat him in the postseason. The combined of those
two don't have a single super Bowl ring today.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Is the only thing though, I gotta admit, Okay, Josh
Allen and you, everything has to have contacts. Do you
remember in Kansas City him driving that I thought he
had finally got over the hump with thirteen seconds to go.
That was as dramatic as you can be. And then
the coaches let the hit let him down obviously by

(08:28):
kicking off. You remember that with thirteen seconds? Yeah, if
you squibbed that six seven seconds might go off the clock.
You know, do you like it was the most unbelievable
thing I've ever seen? But if you remember that that
was his moment that was taken away, do you remember,
like he yeh?

Speaker 5 (08:46):
But but you know, I know he hasn't won again.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
But I'm just saying it's not like that was that
he didn't like.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
The how you felt about Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews
like that was about to be the moment later that was.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
That moment, yep, and they we got to drop from us.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
The crazy part is to me.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
That you mentioned earlier Patrick Mahomes doesn't have one of
the top twenty five that was before last quarterback, right,
but even last year, right, he doesn't, And that makes sense,
It's not far fetched idea. But I would say that
was probably his greatest playoff moment, like he at fourteen
thirteen fourteen seconds and what he did. And the craziest

(09:23):
part is to compliment to him is a compliment to
Steph Curry. What I'm about to say is that he's
so good and so special that we all went, oh shoot.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
And I don't know about you two robs, but I
ain't never thought with.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Somebody in fourteen seconds that far away when he might
do something and it's like Steph Curry, he shoots a
half court shot, he shoots from the other free throw line.
You go, wait, hold on before I go, get this
guacamole that might go in. And Patrick Mahomes has become
that where he can do some of the most magical things.
You're like, no way, that's not okay, No way, he's

(09:55):
about to throw this past like that. No way he's
gonna make this third and eleven scram like he's Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
He ain't that fast.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
So to me, that's probably his greatest playoff moment to me,
was that that come that fourteen seconds You agree, Robs, No, that.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Was a moment obviously. I mean, there's no doubt about it.
That was the thing that they were talking about was
just Super Bowl. But I get it. I just thought,
for a guy who's won as much as he has,
it's kind of incredible when you talk about the coming
back from ten points right uh in the Super Bowl
and he doesn't have a signature throw or touchdown or sold.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
He really doesn't, which which I agree, I completely agree
that on paper makes zero sense.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Yeah, it just doesn't make sense considering that he's got
comeback to rob g what do you got.

Speaker 6 (10:44):
Yeah, I mean that's as far as his postseason legacy,
that's a problem.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Yeah, that is a that's it, and that's it.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
But it's not an indictment on him, so to speak,
because it's more of a compliment to that specific moment
because in the first two bowl against San Francisco, he
hit Tyreek Hill on a third and ten for like
a forty yard play, so that could have been one, right,
and then and then in this last one against San Francisco,
he marches them down, he has a couple of key

(11:12):
scrambles to convert third downs, and he.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
Throws the game winning touch.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
Like if that's tom tom Brady's highlight reel in Super
Bowls is a six yard out route and a field
field goals.

Speaker 5 (11:22):
No, that's not disrespecting Tom Brady.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
The first three of Adam Vententery kicking field goal right,
and if Adam Vanity misses two field.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Goal like the Bills say he was the Bills kicker and.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
You miss, Tom Brady's whole legend would be totally different.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Like that. He had one of the great kickers.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Now.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
The other thing though, when you talk about oh man,
you were just saying, I go ahead, Kevi, when I
was thinking something else.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Well, I had brought up the plays, and I brought
up like, you know, Steph Curry just becoming just so
great at something that we all kind of go, oh,
I expect it from him. Hey, Steph Curry tried to
you know, three quarters court shot, you expect to go.
And Patrick Mahomes' is to his credit, Man, he's gotten
that place where it's like you just expect, Like if
I told you they're down ten three and a half
minutes left, he's got to the place, but they got

(12:10):
the ball.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
You would be like, there's probably gonna find a way
to win.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Similar thought felt you know what I found? Okay, here
it is. This is one I was thinking about, all right.
When the Rams won the Super Bowl with Stafford, he
threw a game winning touchdown to win the game, right.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
Well, not to Cooper cup Yep, Okay, that was a
game win.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
Normally, when you throw on you the quarterback, you throw
a game winning touchdown and win the Super Bowl?

Speaker 4 (12:35):
Went, aren't you the MVP?

Speaker 5 (12:36):
Yeah that's true.

Speaker 3 (12:37):
Okay, but he had two picks and the one that
was dropped, so he didn't get it. So something, you
know what I mean, Like so it's not automatic, like
you think about a super Bowl moment or whatever that was.
Matthew Stafford had his and yet that didn't account for
like a great.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Moment, which is weird should have been. Yeah, I'll tell
you what.

Speaker 6 (13:02):
It says a lot about Patrick Mahomes because you guys
are talking about moments right now and the aura, like
as Kelvin saying, he's like Steph Curry or he's like
you know Jordan or Kobe where you know you're down
by seven in the two minutes, but you're not really
surprised that they're gonna come back and win because he
has that kind of magic.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
That's why this year is the one year that I
think it would just be fitting that all the luck
that it would be they hit the upright or there's
something that ends this run for them and you'll go
back and go they've been getting lucky all year.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
Well, here's the thing route that's fair with Patrick Rohn.
Could we started this conversation is you know, the rivalry
and whether or not he even has one, not only
does he have the aura or the luck how you
call it. If you just take that part out, he's
got the hardware, he's got the rings, and he has
the stats like you you would legitimately have to put

(13:57):
together Lamar Jackson as a regular he's player and Josh
Allen as a postseason player to get one.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
Patrick Mahomes like.

Speaker 7 (14:05):
He's he's at this point. Everybody else right now at
this point. I agree with that. I agree, but that
doesn't mean that it can't change. And that's the thing
that I think as time goes on. Now he's doing
all this winning, and here's the other thing.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
Say they don't win, okay, and they's got his three championships, right,
he doesn't win and things start to change.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Andy Reid retires, Kelsey, you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (14:28):
And then Tom Brady went nine years without winning before
the second wave. I wonder how they'll look at him
as you go further on and say they don't win again.

Speaker 4 (14:40):
Just say he doesn't win again in his career.

Speaker 5 (14:43):
Do you see?

Speaker 3 (14:45):
What's what made tom Brady different was that he was
able to win the second wave. There's a second wave.
There is what I'm saying to you. And if he
goes on and doesn't win again, and Lamar gets to
the Super Bowl wins twice. So Josh Allen wins two
or three times. Do you know what I mean? Like

(15:06):
the game change, the conversation.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
I think the things that will help him is that
kind of how people say, like you say against Lebron,
you say Steph got a bunch on his watch the
Lebron that's well, there will be that. Patrick Mahomes will
be able to say, I was smoking y'all on y'all
watch for a long time. I won three in a
row or potentially or if you said you leave it
at three, then I got three on y'all clock. Y'all
didn't really beat me, you know what I mean? Like,

(15:30):
I just think he'll have that edge on them. And
you see what I'm saying, Lamar Lamar has the chance
because of the envy, because of the MVPs. If he
mess around and at the end of his career, they're
sitting there both three rings, maybe three even if MVPs
it gets like, you know, what was your cup of tea?

(15:51):
It can it can get there, but they got it. It
starts with this Sunday Josh beating him.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
No doubt, all right? Eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Does Patrick Mahomes even have a rival in today's NFL.
We'll continue this conversation next with you. It is the
Odd Couple on a funky flashback Friday, Rob Parker, kelvin Washington,

It is the Odd Couple, Rob Parker, kelvin Washington on

Speaker 5 (16:55):
Go check that out.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
All right, we got any calls by Patrick Mahomes having
no rival, or maybe somebody believes that Josh Allen is
his rival.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
All right, let's kick it off with Andrea Massachusetts. You're
on the couple of Fox Sports. Ready, what's up, Drake?

Speaker 5 (17:09):
What's up? Drake?

Speaker 8 (17:10):
Hey, what's going on? Thanks for taking a call. Listen,
It's very simple to.

Speaker 9 (17:14):
Be the man.

Speaker 8 (17:15):
You have to beat the man whoa shout out to
the nature boy, Rick Blair and the fact the matter
is and big spot, Josh Allen. And it hurts my
heart to say this. Lamar Jackson has not stepped to
Patrick Mahomes and taken him down. I e. Joe Burrow
who came in with the mink coat, okay, and took
Matcha Mahomes out and got to that guy.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Now to remember that, yep, And if you that, if
you remember that, Patrick Mahomes threw the pick right rob
g that set up the game winning field goal in
that game, I remember that vividly.

Speaker 8 (17:48):
So for me, you know, it kind of was hurtful
that we had to see that super bulker like matchup
two MVP candidates in the divisional round in order to
get to Patrick Mahomes. So, Josh Allen, it's on you.

Speaker 10 (18:00):
You have to beat him.

Speaker 8 (18:02):
And I think that a lot of people in their
heart are pulling for Buffalo, but in their head because
we haven't seen it. You have to favorite Patrick for Holmes,
and he read that system. They're tried and true. So no,
he doesn't have a rival if and until somebody usurped
him from the throne. Thanks taking the call.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
Yeah, I appreciate it. How about Kevin in Culver City.
You're on the odd couple Fox Cast Radio. What's up, keV?

Speaker 9 (18:24):
God is good all the time? Hey, hey, real good
the Raiders.

Speaker 11 (18:29):
I just thought they should have hired Daniel Lennon from Oregon,
got outside of the box. But Peko is a great,
great hire.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
He's gonna do great over No he's not, and you
better call back. No he's not. He'll he'll be in
traction in the year and a half. No he won't.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
He's seventy four years old. That's not a great hire. Kevin,
I can't agree with you.

Speaker 11 (18:48):
Okay, okay about Mahomes. Look, there's a guy named Reggie
Miller who could not beat Michael Jordan's. He went games
for Indiana.

Speaker 9 (18:56):
They be up on the balls.

Speaker 11 (18:57):
He just couldn't get through Jordan's.

Speaker 9 (18:59):
That's what Josh all in this.

Speaker 11 (19:00):
Patrick Mahomes is the goat of this era, the only no.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Such thing there's no there's no such thing. Either you're
the goat or you're not. There's no goat of this era.
Stop stop doing that.

Speaker 11 (19:11):
No, Okay, Tom Brady's the only bibrry he's had, and
he's in the fresh box for Fox. He being in
the super Bowl, he's being the AFC Championship. That's his
only viable These guys, they don't need to come close
to Patrick Mahomes. And I'll stand on this, Patrick Mahomes
is the goat and will be the go because he's
gonna win three super Bowls in a row. He's gonna
be the closest thing of Michael Jordan in the NFL.
And nobody can beat the King when it matters.

Speaker 5 (19:34):
All right.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
And if they lose, you better you hear me, you
better call on Monday. If they lose, you better call you.

Speaker 9 (19:41):
Okay, if they don't win.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
All right, you win?

Speaker 4 (19:43):
That sounds good, Kevin? All right, all right, all.

Speaker 5 (19:46):
Right, Kevin, shoot, I wants the wings too. All right.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
We got uh lamar Mitchell in just a moment, but
right now it is what's trending.

Speaker 2 (19:53):

Speaker 8 (20:20):
Hey Calvin?

Speaker 9 (20:21):
What's up? What's up?

Speaker 10 (20:22):
Row?

Speaker 4 (20:22):
How you guys doing doing great?

Speaker 9 (20:24):
How are you not too bad? Trying to stay warm?
Not getting each snow up here in Las Vegas like
they are in Louisiana and Florida.

Speaker 10 (20:33):
So it's doing pretty good.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
I can't believe it.

Speaker 8 (20:35):
I know.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Pensacola, Florida. A friend of mine, Davante, sent me pictures.
I could not get over how much snow they have.
And then New Orleans when.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
We go there, Rob, g have you looked at the
forecast long forecast? What are they saying right now? No snow,
but thunderstorms, thunderstorms going.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
What's the weather though, like thirty forty fifty?

Speaker 6 (20:53):
What are they oh, in New Orleans, it says like
anywhere between thirty and fifty rain and storms.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
All right, it's not fortunate. I'm definitely gonna stay inside,
eat food all day. All right, here we go, let's
start here.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
All right.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
I've gone on the record by saying I'm taking the
Eagles over the Commanders. Only problem is that almost every
stat I read says to pick Washington, including this one.
The three last three team favored by more than four
points in a conference championship, like the Eagles are aller
and three against the spread. What kind of action are
you seeing on Philly minus six in this spot with

(21:27):
the Pros and the Joees.

Speaker 9 (21:30):
Definitely When we first opened this spot up, it was
the Pros move this line pretty aggressively.

Speaker 10 (21:36):
We opened up at four and a.

Speaker 9 (21:37):
Half minus one oh five, then went to four a
half minus one ten, then four and a half minus
one fifteen, then moved to five, then moved to five
and a half. They did take a little buy back
at plus four and a half when we were there
for a second, but they bought it back up to
five five and a half, and now we're sitting pretty

(21:57):
at Eagles minus six. The Pros there definitely have been
all over the Eagles the Joe's though small favor in
the advantage for the Commanders from the Joe's two to
one as far as ticket count money though, is five
to one in favor of the Eagles. One of our
shopper big betters came in on a six figure bet

(22:21):
earlier this week on the Eagles minus five and a half.

Speaker 10 (22:24):
Before we moved into six. So that's what we see
so far.

Speaker 3 (22:27):
Hey, hey, real quick, before Kelvin goes on that Lions
Commander's game, did you guys win a ton of money
or not? Did people take the Commanders? Well, I know
the Lions were big betting. A lot of fans like
the bet Lions. What was that for the house?

Speaker 9 (22:43):
Yeah? Actually that was that was a good decision for
us because the Lions were one of our worst case
scenarios in the soup in the in the championship game
we won and covered you mean, so to actually, yeah,
win the big game on the nine. If they won
that game, that would have been a very bad situation

(23:05):
for the house here.

Speaker 10 (23:06):
So we were.

Speaker 9 (23:07):
Happy when the Lions got knocked out in that round.
As far as the game, it was a small winner
for us with the Commanders. It wasn't a huge win,
but yeah, we were pretty happy with that decision there,
big time.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Okay, all right, let's keep going tomorrow. I want to
go back to the game we were just talking about quickly.
If you're looking at the board, it looks like it's
holding pretty firm at forty seven and a half, which
again sounds like bad news for the Eagles. And I'll
tell you why because I was looking at some stuff today.
Washington is nine and one against the spreading games where
the total is over forty six.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
So what kind of action are you seeing on the
total here?

Speaker 1 (23:39):
We know the Eagles they don't score a lot, but
they also play good defense, so I can see how
this could go either way.

Speaker 9 (23:46):
Yeah, so that one large better that we had the
Eagles minus five and a half, a six figure wager
on that.

Speaker 10 (23:54):
He also bet this game.

Speaker 9 (23:56):
Under forty eight when we had it at forty eight,
And believe it or not, the action on this game
is about from the jos. It's about four to one
in favor of the over money because that big guy
made that bet that sixth figure. He tried to get
down on the total for six figures, but we limited

(24:18):
him on that bet until game day, so we're getting
more money on the under right now, and we think
the market is going to go under the forty seven
and a half right now.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Okay, of all the bets on the board this weekend,
this one feels like the safest to me. Take the
over forty eight and a half between Buffalo and Kansas City.
And here's the reason why this season the Bills went
over the total and fourteen of their nineteen games, not
to mention all three Bills Chiefs playoff meetings might have

(24:48):
gone over the total as well. What kind of action
are you seeing on the total?

Speaker 9 (24:53):
Yeah, you're right, Rob, I mean, as far as money,
the public love this four to one favorite tickets on
the over, and money's about twenty to one in favor
of the over on this Sharks are kind of bounced
around on this a little bit. They initially betted under,
then betted over, so they've.

Speaker 10 (25:11):
Been back and forth.

Speaker 9 (25:13):
But the Joe's the Joe's absolutely love this total over
and the big money is coming in over on this
game too. So we you know, from our standpoint, we're
hoping it goes under, but the money and the public
are betting it all over.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
That's interesting because the way the Chiefs don't really score
too much lately, but they do play great defense.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
We'll see how that works out.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
All right, Bill's fans, they're trying to convince themselves, Lamar,
that we've been They've been on par with the Chiefs
the last few seasons. And the big reason for that
is Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are five hundred. They're
both They're four and four outright and against the spread
in their eight games together.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
But here's the problem.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Mahomes is three and zero outright and against the spread,
Allen in the postseason.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
So where are the sharps on this one?

Speaker 9 (25:58):
The starts are not in the Bill's backyard of this
what I hate to say, the.

Speaker 10 (26:03):
Bills mafia don't hate what.

Speaker 9 (26:06):
I'm just a messenger, but the starts are definitely When
we open this game Chiefs minus one and a half,
we immediately laid that we had to juice on that
minus one oh five went to minus one ten, minus one, fifteen.
They laid it all the way up until the two.
They took back the two, and then they bet it
back up to two, which is where I currently at.

(26:27):
The Joe's definitely though they see these Bills not turn
the ball over. The Joe's are all over the Bills
about two to one. A favorite ticket count on the Bills.
But the Sharps definitely. When we opened that number, they
told us the number was a little soft, so they
bet that number up immediately.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
All right, Lamar.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Earlier today, the Athletic predicted that the Bills Chiefs game
is trending to the most watched AFC Championship game ever,
with maybe over fifty five point five million. All you
see is kind of buzz at the betting window as well.
Could we see the Bills and Chiefs being the most
bet non Super Bowl game in bet MGM's history.

Speaker 9 (27:07):
I believe this game is the game, you know, outside
of last week's game where it was the Bills and
the Ravens. Everyone is looking for this and the Bills
breaking through that damn getting past pack my homes. So yeah,
we're definitely seeing lots, lots and uh tremendous amount of
interest in this game here in the books, and I

(27:28):
expect every book to be packed and everybody be ooing
and eyeing every single play, and especially if the refs
UH make some unfavorable calls against the Bills. I'm sure
you mean.

Speaker 4 (27:40):
Not if you mean win, No, you can'dt even win.

Speaker 9 (27:46):
I don't know. You know, as a as a fan,
there's gonna be some calls that either both sides don't like.
So I'm sure if there's something for the against the Bills,
their fans will let everyone know in the books.

Speaker 5 (27:58):
All right, we've got a couple more. Get you out
of lamorrow.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
I know we are still a week away from really
having this conversation, but I was reading that Washington entered
the year with one hundred and fifty to one odds
to win the Super Bowl, so those will.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
Be the longest odds.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
I don't worry about participant and don't worry about yours.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
Do these preseason odds seem correct to you?

Speaker 1 (28:17):
And if so, how big of a hit would it
be for you guys in Vegas? If the Commanders were
to win it all, then Jay and Daniels whin's.

Speaker 5 (28:24):
It as a rookie?

Speaker 9 (28:26):
Actually, you know, those odds do seem correct because you
just don't know at the beginning of the season, especially
we get a brand new program with a coach coin
over there. Ownership is phenomenal with magic Johnson that group.
But if the Commanders do possibly win, luckily, we've done
our job this year and it's a win win situation

(28:47):
for us. Our only scenario where we have a loser
for the house winning the Big Game would be Kansas
City at this point. So if Washington should win, we're
in a good spot.

Speaker 10 (29:00):
We'd be very happy, all right.

Speaker 3 (29:03):
And the last one is well, one more to look
ahead question for you, Lamar.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
Looking on the board, I.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
See the Eagles are the current Super Bowl favorites at
plus one point eighty. Is that just a byproduct of
them playing in the NFC, because I would assume that
both the Chiefs and Bills would be favored over Philadelphia
on a neutral.

Speaker 9 (29:23):
Site, right, Yeah, you're absolutely right. I mean the Bills
the AFC will come the favorite. But the way the
money's going right now that they seem to have the
best path to the to the game. You know, the
fact that they are six point favorite at home in
this game, and the way the money has come in
the market for to win that championship, that is why

(29:47):
they are the favorite right now.

Speaker 3 (29:48):
Hey, one more thing, were you in the sports book
when the Lions lost that game?

Speaker 4 (29:52):
I'm just curious, Rob, I was not.

Speaker 9 (29:56):
I was well insulated.

Speaker 4 (29:57):
Okay, I just wanted I want to say see what
the reaction.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
Was in the book when Jared Goffer you are obsessed
with the Lions more than me.

Speaker 5 (30:05):
I'm just saying, Lamar, he loves them more than me.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
I tried to tell him all year long that the
Lions weren't going through the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (30:12):
He wouldn't listen to me.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Oh boy, Lamar Rich Yeah, I heard you all. Yeah,
you heard him say that. But you also heard him
say lose every week, and they went, yeah.

Speaker 5 (30:23):
Rob, I did hear that, Lamar, Lamar. Here's it all,
Lamar Mitchell, thank you so much. Brother. We appreciate you.

Speaker 9 (30:32):
Thanks fellas, appreciate I appreciate you. Guys that have great

Was that Steve was a coughing on the air? He
has a cough button?

Speaker 5 (32:09):
Who we got? All Right?

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Swift in Virginia.

Speaker 3 (32:15):
You're in the Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio and
you are officially the last call.

Speaker 5 (32:20):
What's up? Swift.

Speaker 4 (32:23):
Yeah, turn your radio down, my man? What you got?
I hear that coughing in the background.

Speaker 11 (32:32):
Come on, Swift, yeah, Virginia.

Speaker 5 (32:38):
Are you going to do it? He's on.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
What are you doing? I can hear them show in
the background.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Yes, if you had us begging too loud, I know
we like to show it on, but you had the
radio too loud.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
Brother.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
That's the problem.

Speaker 6 (32:49):
When people are so excited to be on the radar,
they want to hear themselves on the radio.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
And the first thing that Rob g says is turn
your radio. I guarantee you.

Speaker 6 (32:56):
He was smiling when he heard his phone, Big che
Swift in Virginia. And then he listens like thirty seconds later, Swift.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Hey, Steve, just saga, can you put his mic up
real quick? I want to ask you a question. There
was a Perry Mason episode dealing with a radioath and
murder black and white show, Yes, and it was about
turn your radio down, which was the thing the guy

(33:26):
had recorded the show, and then someone was killed and
he tried to act like it was live, but he
was the actual killer and the whole premise and then
at the end of the when Perry Mason, the guy
breaks down and admits that it was him.

Speaker 4 (33:40):
But you're not implying anything about tonight's show.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
No, no, no, But I'm just saying at the end,
and Ben Perry says something like, ro Apparently.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
I forgot I forgot we had that. Apparently he forgot
to turn his radio down.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
All right.

Speaker 9 (33:55):
By the way, the Dallas Cowboys have just announced Brian
Schottenneimer is their new head coach.

Speaker 4 (33:59):
News conference.

Speaker 5 (34:00):
It's Monday.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
All right, all right, there you go, another bad high
I got, yeah, a couple of those.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
All right, let's do it. Pickskin, picks pickoff.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
You ready to retire?

Speaker 4 (34:08):
It's only two games. We got plenty of time.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Make you rich gambling.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
I was trying to.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
Give you for a knowledge, was I was not though, right,
I was not asleep speaking of like I say, Nodding
said it was like, yo, turn.

Speaker 6 (34:22):
Your radio down to get here in the air. Kelvin
is like, hey, turn your talk bag now, I'm gonna
say it on the air. Yes, he wasn't even gonna
talk back, and said it is bicks can pick off,
robbing Kelvin picking NFL games against the spreading the regular season.
You guys know that they went fifty two and thirty seven,
both of them five hundred, both.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
The fl in the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (34:44):
Entering this weekend, they're five and five, both both tied up.
What someone's gotta win this game.

Speaker 5 (34:53):
Somebody's gonna win because I already know. Yeah, here we.

Speaker 6 (34:56):
Go, Championship weekend. Bet MGM providing these odds to us
Game number one in the NFC, Jayden Daniels and the
Commanders against it. Jalen Hurts in the Eagles. The Eagles
six point home favorites. Rob, we know you got the
Eagles outright. How do you feel with the number, Yep.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
I'm gonna take the Eagles minus six to two. I
believe minus six points. I think they went by a touchdown.

Speaker 5 (35:23):
I really do.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
I think all that luck runs out for Washington and
Jaydon Daniels will.

Speaker 4 (35:29):
Make a rare turnover that will help Philadelphia.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
Give me the Commanders with the points. I don't know
that they went out right. I do think it'll be
a competitive game like the last one they had, so
give me. I'm going with the Commanders. Give me the points,
and I think I might have to go with them
outright too. I think Jayan Daniels is onto something.

Speaker 6 (35:50):
Rob, I'm surprised you made that pick, considering you just
read those stats that he did all that research on
all the stats say to take Washington against you.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
I'm going against the research because if it was that easy,
Rob g everybody would be in Las Vegas with their savings. Okay,
I tell Martin Weiss that all the time, as good
as he is at.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
Picking games, he wouldn't be doing this last one.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
The Marquee matchup Bills at Chiefs Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes
Part nine, Chiefs two point home favorites in Kansas City,
dub Who do you like?

Speaker 9 (36:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (36:27):
I wanted I wish I could say ABC, but it's
gonna beat them Seas, it's gonna beat them Chiefs go
back to the super Bowl, Rob.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
Parker, I'm taking the Bills. I think their luck runs out.
I just think that. And again, I want it to
be epic. I want them to miss a field goal
or something so Buffalo finally, you know what I mean,
Like it's gotta besides or Patrick Mahomes like he did
against the Bengals, throws a pick that leads to a

(36:56):
field goal. I want it to be that epic. It's
got to be like, well, we could blame somebody. I
want to be able to blame somebody, so we could
play the blame game on Monday.

Speaker 5 (37:04):
Here's the Pro Games.

Speaker 6 (37:06):
No, y'all went opposite, So it's gonna be one to
one and we're gonna be tired a game going to
super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (37:09):
That's all right?

Speaker 4 (37:13):
Sorry about that?

Speaker 5 (37:14):
What if I wear both rog.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
He don't believe you're gonna win?

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Our fake is?

Speaker 5 (37:20):
Oh? Yeah he is? And are he is here? All right?
We out?

Speaker 4 (37:25):
The Jason Smith Show with Mike Harmon is coming up next.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
You never miss your radio show. I never hear it,
so I never miss it.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
