Somewhere just songs said we ain't going nowhere, Just Diddy
going somewhere, and this y'all ain't going nowhere either.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Hey, oh and three coming up after this.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Even if I gotta go in handcuffs, I'm going I'm
just baby oil.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
That's right. I need a thousand bottles of baby playing
that drop with that song that should be banned. So
no more, Rob Gil, that's what you're saying, you want
to gone.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
I don't know, Rob It's a little problematic these days.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Okay, you said you wanted to last in this business
for you know, another handful of years looking out for me.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Now you're trying to be Diddy song saying I want
baby oil.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Yeah, Johnson and Johnson is not happy to be in this.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Man, My elbows are ashy. That's the baby oil, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Yeah, Well, don't nobody a thousand bottles? Okay, one bottle
last a good three years.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Hey, I'm not trying to make excuses, but did he
saw a sale and you know you stuck up?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
See how quick costco. We don't even sell baby I
know what was that all about? They gotta get mixed up.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
I don't want they don't want no part of that today.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
They don't want to see coming there, like, hey, excuse me,
real quick, real quick?
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Happened? What happened?
Speaker 3 (02:28):
There's a big home run in Milwaukee and the fans
are going crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
What's the score? I got? I got the.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Thursday night football one Jake Bowser, you gotta get the
other one up on.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
The solo shot to right field and it is one
nothing Milwaukee. Wow, and that place is going I can't
hear Steve going crazy. Yeah, going crazy in Milwaukee. Man,
one nothing. There we go bottom of the seventh? Is
that correct? So the mesa down to the last six.
There's still a long way to go.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
It's only one the Tigers did yesterday or yesterday? Yeah,
yes see yeah. And also we're still ten to seven
in the football game. Oh you're not not anymore? What's
this going now? Touchdown Falcons? Oh we're way behind. Step
the game up.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
I'm sorry, we're watching on Amazon. It's way behind, I
guess now, all right, all right, all right, let's go here.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
C J.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Stroud has been flapping his gums and speaking on something
that doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about.
Stefan Diggs, Rob g clue us In and then we'll
talk about him.
Speaker 4 (03:37):
So of course, the big game this Sunday that everyone's
talking about. Excited about the Stefan Diggs revenge game between
the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Texas. Of course, Digs
traded from the Bills to the Texans this offseas. By
the way, another solo shot for the Brewers. Now two
to nothing Milwaukee. But that's the big game this weekend.
And of course, as you guys know, that was a
(03:58):
replay I swear second home run, no, but it.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Was a left hand during a win, like in the
same kind of area right field, so I was looking
to nothing Milwaukee.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yeah, But in any event, Stefon Diggs, as you know,
did not leave on the best terms there in Buffalo,
and CJ. Stroud was asked about it by the media
earlier today. Here's all he had to say about it.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
I think he got a bad rap, you know, just
by the media and like by people. But I mean
he's not been nothing but just amazing to this team
and to his teammates, and he's helping me out a ton,
and you know, as you can see, we're clicking more
and more every game, So you know, I'm very happy
for him, and you know, I'm glad that you know,
he's finally you know, having fun playing the game and
(04:39):
you know, doing what he loves to do because he
loves football a lot. So you know, just really really
happy to be you know, a part of his journey
and like just being around him has been real awesome.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
All right, I'm not gonna kill C. J. Strout, but
but this is what I don't understand. If you want
to say, hey, he's been fantastic since he's been here,
he's helping me, blah blah blah blah blah, but the
same he got a bad rap from people and the
media in two places. He wasn't Uh, he wasn't in
neither place. Okay, so he wasn't in Buffalo and he
(05:10):
wasn't in Minnesota. How can you speak on something where
you don't know what was actually said or what was
going on there and and just automatically wipe it clean.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
He got a bad rap there and even got a
bad rap where hold on, now, hold on now, well no, no,
I'll hear me out.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
This is where if I'm the reporter and he says
that what bad rap?
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Well, can you tell me what are you talking?
Speaker 3 (05:36):
About what happened in Buffalo that was untrue. What happened
in Minnesota that was untrue. What bad rap did the
media di Stefan Things was a star player in both places.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
So I do a bad rap? How I don't.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
It's one thing to just say this guy's been great
to me since he's been here.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
I can only speak on what I know. That's fine.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
No one's saying he can't defend his teammate and he
can't stand up and talk about what he knows about.
But just to throw out a blanket, He's been in
two different places.
Speaker 6 (06:10):
CJ.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Stroud was in college and maybe high school with any
other places. Really, he knows what went on in Buffalo,
he knows what went on in Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
I don't think he knows well.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
I think what we do know is that things can
be they don't have to be, they can both be true.
Meaning Stefan Diggs has gotten some bad rapping that maybe
he's got wrapped up in that diva thing where if
somebody has one thing, we put him in the wide
receiver d diva bag and we say, oh your here go.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Is another one of those.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
You've even heard Josh Allen come out everybody wanted him
to have something bad to say about Stephan days He's like, no,
I freaking loved playing with him and we got along great,
and I'm not gonna there's no issue that you guys
are trying to create.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
It just they moved on, but there's no issue.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
So maybe he's just obviously he's sticking up for his
fellow teammate, which as he should. And I think he's
saying the bad rap is that you guys don't know
the guy.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
You guys don't know the man that I know.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
What how does he know? But from the other places, Kelvin,
I get that. I'm saying, if you want to talk
about the three months he's been with Stefan Diggs, you
can speak on that. But to say that and the
other places that that the media and other people know
the bad rap he got in other places, he wasn't what.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
I'm saying, isn't there.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
Listen, you're gonna First of all, he's a quarterback in
that position more than maybe any has to stick up
for players, has to have the right sound bite, has.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
To do the right thing at the podium. Number two, You're.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Expecting a whole lot from a guy that's probably what
twenty two years old. This is his second year in
the NFL. It's not as if he's some savvy eight
ten year veteran. He's a young kid, literally, second year,
not even a cops what's the copsound for you?
Speaker 3 (07:51):
He doesn't feel he doesn't feel like he has an
issue with with just automatically blanketing everybody in the other
two cities that that they've done something.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Because because he is, again he is standing up for
his guy, and he's also a young person, So he's
going to stand in front of a bullet for his
guy or he's going to stand up and prop his
guy up. And again, we haven't heard crazy, crazy accounts
of Stephan Diggs.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
We've heard it. He said he was in a.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Bad mental state the last place he was in when
he was talking about being in Minnesota, he was saying,
I was in a bad mental place there, mental state.
I was having some issues. So maybe there's more to
the story than we know. Maybe there's some stories and
some issues that now you have CJ. Stroud privy to
he has this information. I was just listening to a
conversation Trevor a Resa had talking about it. Basically, the
(08:38):
question was where the heck is Andrew buying him? And
his point was, I don't want to speak for him.
I'm not a fan of doing that, but I can
tell you when he lost his mother, he was basically alluding,
kind of giving you the I don't want to speak
for him, but he kind of lost it then and
that was some things he gone through. So all I'm
saying is, you don't know what conversations that he and
Stephan Diggs had, like you know, I'm all that's right.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
But when he doesn't also know what what went down,
and if he did, maybe he's just hearing one side
of the story.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
But now you had you didn't have the same smoke
for uh, for when you had your boy, what's your
boy with the Buccaneers?
Speaker 2 (09:15):
When you had speaking up on Tom Brady? What's the
name again? Who? Baker Mayfield? Baker Mayfield? Who got the
same thing?
Speaker 1 (09:23):
You have pleo on his teammates telling him one side,
and he spoke up about tom Brady as if he
knew what was going on there.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
No, My point was only that it couldn't have come
from from Baker. It had to cut, It had to
come from teammates. He wasn't there. And that was my point.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
So what I'm saying that Stefan, it's given him information
about what happened. Hey man, this is what was going on,
this is where I was mental state, this is what
and he's sticking in front of him.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Now I get him.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
I understand a savvy veteran saying, hey man, look, all
I know is he's here. He's great in our locker room.
We're here for him. He's here for us, and that's
all I know. I completely get that, exactly a veteran.
I don't expect a twenty two year old to have
all the answers at twenty two, because I know for
sure twenty two year Rob Parker didn't, nor did Kelvin
Washington at twenty two.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
No, my point is like, like I think I can
only speak about the time that I've been around him.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
You just don't know, and just to paint a blanket,
all right, he didn't do that.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
He said that the bad rap that it was that
it was, it was he got a bad rap in
these other places.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
No one's asking you to go down his history places
you weren't at, things you didn't see or happened. All
I ask you is how is he as a teammate
to you? And that could be the answer.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
That's all I just I'm honestly, anybody blanket. Yeah, I'm
honestly not even mad at what you're saying. I completely
understand that, and I get him. My only point is
I expect that from a more savvy veteran. I expect
that from a Russell Wilson now, g GOLLI shucks, I'm
just happy he's he's here.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Now go Hawks, right on, Broncos. You know, I expect
that from him.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
I expect that from maybe even a Patrick Mahomes now
six seven years into the league.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
But I'm just saying, man, this is a young guy
who wants to ride for his guy.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
I'm cutting him some slack because again, I understand be trying.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
To be a young leader. I can appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
I just think that this is the mistake that a
lot of people make, is it's just easy to paint
a blanket over everybody that just because.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Hold on, the media does that a lot. You know,
I know that's not acting. They don't know that. No.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Look, I'm just I've been in this business for a
long time. And I'm not saying and I'm not saying
that the media is perfect or doesn't. But it's easy
to just point this is what. Oh it's the media.
All they made up stuff about me. Oh, they're just
out to get me. I've heard all of those stories.
And oftentimes, oftentimes it's just not the case.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Something. The reporters are just as.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
Just as conscious about wanting to do a good job
and be accurate and whatnot. And Stefan Diggs has been
in two different places, that's all, and both of them.
At both places he was ready to go and move
out and move on. And usually when people move on,
something did not go right, or so he didn't move.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Why is something that right? But why does something move on?
Things aren't necessarily going right?
Speaker 1 (12:15):
Have to be overly negative, meaning like if you you
look up and you ain't happy with me, or's something
whatever you might I'm just ready to move on. He
stuff happens, He's stuck with me now, you know so,
but completely Like we see.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
That with the receiver spot.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Now guys leave, it's no longer you know, Jerry Rice
with the forty nine ers for twelve years or something
like that. Guy, listen guys leave now. Davante Adams was
great for the Packers. Now he's in the Raiders and
guess what he wants a trade up out of there.
So this is uncommon. This ain't the back of the
day Barry Sanders playing starting retiring with one team.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
This ain't that day.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
That's just the way the nature of the business right now.
If it ain't working out, guys get shipped around, guys
go to other places.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
I just I'm always conscious when people just paint a
blank and it could be either side. But when you
just say somebody it ain't fair or what he did
and you weren't there, I just I just think I
have an issue with that. And as a reporter, I
would have asked, well, what do you know that we
don't know, and what was unfair by the media in Buffalo?
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Can you give me here? Can you give me an example?
That's what I would ask, And that's a fair Again,
that's a fair question. I told you, I'm not really
mad at what you're saying. I totally get what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
I just don't have you know, I offer grace to
a year and a half in quarterback who's just a
year and six months ago was in college.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
I offer a little more grace with that, all.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
Right, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven,
seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Do you agree with CJ.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Stroud when he says that Stefan Diggs just got a
bad rap from the media in Buffalo. We'll continue that
conversation next with you. It is the Odd Couple on
a TV theme song Thursday. Rob Parker Kelvin wat right
here on Fox Sports Radio, and you know what to do,
stick and stay for some extra Buffalo sauce.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
In the US, I can go for that.
Speaker 7 (14:09):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Yeah, dude, what you want to do? Tell him and
do what? There you go, Rob. This is a more
recent one. I mean it's still a while.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
Ago now at this point, but more recent than most
things Fox Sports Radio. It is the Odd Couple, Rob
Parker kelvin Washington. We're coming to you live from the
Tyreck dot Com studios on a TV theme song Thursday.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
That's one of my favorite King of queens right there.
Absolutely love you know what. What's your name? Kevin? Kevin James.
James was on first take I did.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
I did some first take with him me, Skip Bayless,
Kevin James, Big Jets, Mets, you know New York guy.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
It was great. He's a great guy. He got to
get joined in the show too. He got to give
it his love of sports. And he was an athlete too,
I think an ex wrestler.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
You can always tell. Whenever he would have to do
stunts on the show, you could tell. Okay, he might
be a little bigger dude now, but you can tell
he was an athlete. All right, we're having this conversation
all real quick. Let me tell about racket Rapid radios.
They are the official communication device of Fox Sports Radio.
Rapid radios are instant push to talk walkie talkies, offering
national LTE coverage and no subscription or monthly fee. Ever
(15:31):
perfect for instant contact with an aging parent. Sometimes you
become the parent to your parents. I think a lot
of us know about that. We use them at the show.
Go to rapid radios dot com now for up to
sixty percent off and free shipping. Rob I know we
got some calls having a conversation about c J. Stroud
sticking up for his receiver Stefan Diggs. But you'd add
an issue with him acting as if he knew all
(15:52):
the details of what happened in Buffalo, Minnesota.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
I say, he's a young guy sticking the for his guy.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
He could have been a little bit more, more decorum,
but he's twenty two years old, give or take all?
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Right, who with the Lions? We got eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox?
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Well we go, all right, let's start with Sean in Sacramento. Sean,
you're in the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
What's up? Sean?
Speaker 7 (16:13):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (16:14):
Be from another mother cousin Kelly and my brother's mind
the board man. First of all, First of all, I
had to rewind a little bit of Friends was an
amazing show. That show was groundbreaking in so many ways.
Speaker 9 (16:24):
Man.
Speaker 8 (16:24):
They had Ross Day and the Asian woman, ros Dade
and the black woman. What do you mean there was
no no inclusion in that show?
Speaker 10 (16:30):
Man?
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Did they really?
Speaker 7 (16:32):
I mean?
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Did they date them for more than a cup of
coffee in the sweet role?
Speaker 8 (16:35):
I'm just asking, it's New York City, baby, who else
is dating so longer? Than a cup of coffee and
the sweet ros getting out there.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Man.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
We didn't question.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
We didn't shore, Sean, We didn't question whether they had
any some diversity. We questioned the show wasn't really didn't
really hit like that.
Speaker 8 (16:48):
They hit like that from Come on man, that was
musty TV literally back in the day. But I digress.
Speaker 9 (16:55):
I'll get it right man.
Speaker 8 (16:57):
The other thing I wanted to mention rab if you're
looking for a new song that's not didtied out, look
up Larry June. I'm him because you already know that title,
and I won't let you know why I'm Hell.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
There we go.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
We got to mess with Larry Joe happy man you
Larry June is him? And Cardill go crazy, don't they?
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Sean? Hey, hey, hey numbers.
Speaker 8 (17:16):
I already know how would Kelvin?
Speaker 2 (17:18):
How was with Larry May? And now I'm with Larry June,
So I'm Sean see what he Larry June? Funny? Everything
not funny?
Speaker 8 (17:29):
Real quick. Look, I was gonna say all this topic.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Man.
Speaker 8 (17:32):
Look, I get what you're saying, Kelvin, but if CJ.
Stroud want to play that, I'm a young guy, twenty
two year old row please don't try to talk to
Caleb Williams after the game to.
Speaker 9 (17:41):
Try to break down house that candy thing later on.
Please don't be all on the TV putting.
Speaker 8 (17:47):
Out all these you know, real Russell Wilson like responses
to everything people are asking you and aren't asking you,
because then that projects an era arrogance to me. Man,
And I think that with what he's saying, I get,
I get what you're saying. He's QB. He asked to
stick up for his teammates. But do it in the
right way.
Speaker 9 (18:03):
Man.
Speaker 8 (18:03):
You don't know those situations previous to you. We all
saw Stefan Diggie yelling at Kirk Cousin's on the sideline,
yelling at Uh at the at the Deal's quarterback on
the sideline. So you our eyes are deceiving us what.
Speaker 9 (18:16):
He's like with y'all.
Speaker 8 (18:17):
Don't tell us what he's like everywhere else.
Speaker 11 (18:19):
Man.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
First of all, Sean, thank you for the call. Y'all
got to stop backing like we ain't saying. Receivers don't
get the title diva for any reason. We just saw
ceedee lamb what two weeks ago, give or take. You're
going at it with Dak and they came out and
you can't go at it but didn't. Now, don't act
like you know what was I agree with that, Listen.
I told you there's a perfect way he could have
(18:41):
stated it, and he did not. But trying to act
like it was that big of a deal. You make
me want to come through this back on zoom call
and be in the studio with you.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
All Right, we got dre Andre in Massachusetts. You're on
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 12 (18:53):
What up, Dray, how you doing?
Speaker 13 (18:56):
Thanks for taking the call again. Stefan Diggs know talented,
you know has the capability, but we've seen the track record.
Speaker 12 (19:03):
As Sean alluded to in Minnesota, you know, wasn't getting
the looks that he thought he deserved.
Speaker 13 (19:08):
A battle between him and feeling. He stomped his feet.
Speaker 12 (19:10):
He got up and out of there and frankly to
a better situation. Buffalo was where he got.
Speaker 13 (19:14):
A chance to shine number one wide receiver. They were
trending in the championship.
Speaker 12 (19:20):
Excuse me direction, But then again he reversed his course
and goes back to those same behaviors. You know, him
and Josh Allen, but when they were winning their impress conferences, together,
high five and shaking it.
Speaker 9 (19:30):
It seemed like they had the.
Speaker 13 (19:31):
Nucleus for something going forward.
Speaker 12 (19:33):
But when they hit some rough waters, his disposition completely
changed and moved up out of there in Houston. Bottom
line is, we're in the honeymoon shade at the moment
where all things are going well, but you're likely going
to see when they hit adversity. He Stefon Diggs pounds
his feet and then we'll see if they.
Speaker 13 (19:48):
As the team and then he as a specific player,
are able to get through that. Thanks taking the call.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Hey, good calls right now, good call listen. I don't
I don't have a lot to dispute with that. Yeah,
it's hard to dispute that all.
Speaker 7 (19:59):
Right Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Foxsports Radio
dot com and within the iHeartRadio app search FSR to
listen live.

somebody gets it? All right, Alex, are you ready? Please?
I'm too.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
This is the one time I gotta stall my guy
Rob out. This one was a little harder to come
up with. I'll give him that, okay, So I'm gonna
go yard yard.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yard. I mean the problem is Rob Klue gives you
no help. I did not at all. I was hoping
he would make it sort of clothes. That man just
said furniture, furniture yard. Uh uh.
Speaker 6 (28:02):
Dude, patio, that is incorrect. Back to Rob Parker, that's
not a bad.
Speaker 2 (28:10):
That's not a bad. I'm trying to put stuff together here.
The best one was where the answer was Donald Trump. Yeah, Alex,
Alex gets Fred Trump, Who the heck is with the
high school? Donald Trump is from Jamaica. Queen him a
fifty cent. They got a lot of Jamaica. Queen's pretty
(28:32):
Actually we're both shot at rock Parker. Stop thinking to
give him one. Let's go.
Speaker 6 (28:36):
Please, better than furniture, I oh, anything better than furniture,
Just something, dude, help me.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
I have furnished with the way that here we go
wherever it gets, this one's gonna war.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Come on. Oh oh my, that's a new drop. That's
a clue. That's a clue I do. It was furnish gardening.
That is correct, dude, Really for the wig? Hey, rob Gie,
you see what happened right there?
Speaker 4 (29:05):
Right?
Speaker 2 (29:06):
I gave a solid clue which helped him get that.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
This was I'm tabling the stories, the scores here. I
need baby, arguableive the lowest scoring Ty's Tower dream we've had.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
This was a tough one, no offensive struggle. We are
the Dolphins Titans of this.
Speaker 6 (29:26):
Solve it all Thursday night football, huh yeah, because they're
going over and hey, don't forget, it's last call time
beyond the out come.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Tirec the Way Tireboys should Be. You mentioned it, man,
the Mets have been finding a way to come back
throughout the season. You said it for your mount to
God's ears and Steve what did not? Steve did? What
did I say about? They needed an insurance run? Because that?
Speaker 3 (31:14):
And then Devin Williams is one of the best closers,
and he walked who was that Lindoor to start the inning?
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Walks always come around the score.
Speaker 14 (31:24):
And then Brandon Nimmo with a single which I believe
was the first non Lindor hit of the entire night
for the Mets.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
And it came in the night, unbelievable, and Peter Lonzo
hadn't had an extra base hit.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
I just saw the statsince September nineteenth or something.
Speaker 14 (31:38):
Did you see his defense the previous inning or two
when he missed a foul ball that kept an inning
going trying to play first base. Devin Williams has been,
when healthy a closer with an Era in the ones.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Right. Oh no, no, he's a stud, no doubt about it. Yep.
All right, last call time on the odd couple.
Speaker 11 (31:55):
This is the last.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
Its last, last call time on the odd couple.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
All right, Kevin in Culver City, you have the last
call on the odd couple. What's up, buddy?
Speaker 2 (32:13):
God is good all by the time.
Speaker 9 (32:15):
What's up? Fellas? Look baseball, Rob Manfaid is the happiest
man in America. We got Dodgers Padres. This is the
biggest rivalry in baseball. Yeah, I said it. You got Otani,
the face of baseball, against the hated Padres. Both teams
can't stand each other. Everybody's shirt. And you got Yamamoto
against Zyloxy's Game one. And now you might have for
(32:36):
Rob Parker, the blou King, the New York Myths against
the Philadelphia Phillies. All my New Yorkers been talking about
they hate Philly Philly Sands. Don't want to sell Mets
fans and tickets.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
OMG.
Speaker 9 (32:48):
Franciscol Indoor Puerto Rica, Polikua against Fwife Harper, the Philadelphia
Philly Father ste Rock stand up rom get that fight ticket,
ready to charge of chicken and left.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
Stand up, no doubt, no doubt. My man Kevin from
Culver City, California. He was the last call. Very nice child. Hey,
I tell you what, he's got a point.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Listen, man, I mean we already know, you know, for
baseball obviously not through especially more than any other probably
well except hockey.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
But we don't necessarily talk about it. I don't mean
we as in just you and I, but I mean
just sports media in general, through the regular one hundred
and sixty two. Unless there's a big thing. No, don't
give me that. I row. I'm giving it a Can
I give it a compliment?
Speaker 12 (33:26):
No?
Speaker 3 (33:26):
Can I give it a cop because because Kevin and Kelvin,
let me say this, I get what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Okay, you know what I'm saying. I don't need to
say no, but but this is one I want to say.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
In every major city in his country, Okay, just because
you might not get a national number because of baseball
sports talk radio, they talk about the local teams. If
you're in Boston, if you're in New York, if you're
in Philadelphia, if you're in Detroit, if you're in any
major in Los Angeles, AM five seventy in in LA
is the Dodger station.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
That's what I'm just trying to say to you. This
that was that's not. No one's arguing that.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
That part I'm trying to make is the big debate shows,
the big sports shows aren't covering it, and it's not's
okay because they play one hundred and sixty two games.
It's a long season, and that's okay. I wasn't even
knocking it or poo pooing it as you do. All
I was simply trying to say is but even they
have a huge, huge viewership and folks are invested in
(34:23):
the postseason because there's really no postseason like it.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
So that's all I was trying to say. I was
trying to give it some love. But you wouldn't even
let me get to the love part because you're ready
to de fit it like that public defender you are,
whether you should you got the wrong pad, should have win?
Became a lawyer, talk to my wife, go to law school.
I can set you up.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
I was trying to get baseball some love and say
there's nothing like baseball playoffs and it's gets you excited,
even if you don't necessarily watch all the teams that
if your team isn't in it, you can still be
highly invested.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
See see Ron DC how he is.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
I was ready to show baseball some love. He's ready
to go at it because he saw used some people
poo pooing on it. He was ready to get at me.
He just said, I I've been doing this for long.
I just keep hearing the same arguments over and over
and over and Okay.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Where did my point? Now? What you thought I was
gonna make, what was my point? Was wrong? No, I'm
just saying, like I just because we're rid, because we
all like baseball, because two shows talk about the same
five football topics, that that's what the conscious of America is.
It's just not true, that's all.
Speaker 3 (35:24):
That's all I'm saying is that seventy million people buy
baseball tickets every year.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
I go to the ballparks. I'm there.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
It ain't everybody's not eighty at the ballpark. I just
it's a it's a tired story that that just isn't
true about the game.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
That's all so I know.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
But I'm not This isn't poop poo and baseball time
because this is the most exciting time for them, right,
It's exciting for any sports fans. Right you might not
have covered the Mets, you might not have watched the Mets,
you might not have watched the Brewers, but you're seeing
an amazing winner take off Game three.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
So I'm with you on that now. I mean, we'll
have plenty of time.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
To argue about those the other point throughout the year,
but right now, I want to get back to his
point and say, it is exciting. You got these big,
you know, big teams. You got the Brewers in we
were talking about it yesterday. I mean, if you mess
around Age's Tigers Yankees, that'll be crazy. Baseball's drooling. They're
salivating right now. The idea of getting that. You got
the Padres and Dodgers, which you'd hope to get. You
we've had it before the postseason, but you would love
(36:20):
to get it again.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
And you got it. You got some real drama.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
They're real beef and actually a real legitimate you could
argue for either team to win this thing. So yeah,
baseball's winning right now. This is great and that's you know,
it's great to see and it's exciting. The Mets were dead.
I mean, Steve, they weren't up. They were dead.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
They had two hits by Lindor. They really had nothing going,
and that Walks sparked it. I'm telling you, you walk people,
they somehow find a way to come around. And then
the idea that Alonso just had been in an extra
base hit drought for three weeks or whatever it is,
and he hits a three run home run. They just
(36:58):
added another run. They would they had to take out
Devin Williams. I mean, he can't get he can't get
anybody out, and and uh, the Brewers are down two
runs now going to the bottom of the ninth. There's
no way they're gonna win this game.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
All right, man, it's exciting. It really is an exciting time.
For sure. I'll be back in the building tomorrow because
I ain't. I haven't.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
You cheat no more in these games, it is at
all Jason and Mike next, Fox Sports Radio,
