(01:06):
you have a chance to get a last call in
if you don't get in on us.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
But we do have some other stuff to talk about,
and it is.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
The Kansas City Chiefs who went to five and oh
last night on Monday Night football. They beat the Saints
and Derek Carr got hurt in that game. So the Saints,
it's gonna be out and whatnot. And the weird thing
is the Chiefs continue to win and they're winning kind

(01:38):
of in spite of Patrick Mahomes. And I know that
sounds crazy, but I'm just when you think of somebody
as an all time great, and that's what Patrick Mahomes
has a chance to be, right, like all time great.
It's amazing to see, even in the wind, right in

(01:59):
Kansas City home or whatever. If I said to you
he had no touchdowns and one pick in the end zone,
that that was the game, like they won, and they
won by thirteen points or whatever it was, you would say, wow, right, yeah,
did you feel like, like what do you when you
see him play?

Speaker 2 (02:19):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
It is perplexing because he's not as accurate as he
normally is. He's still making a heroic play here there.
Obviously saw that run he had that scrambled for the
first down like Superman when he jumped, but him in
the red zone, being bottom of the league in the
red zone, that's crazy because that's what they did. He found,
you know, Travis Kelsey, he found other receivers. He would

(02:42):
find a way if it was himself running in the
end zone, he would score points. And that's what you
had to do. They had to do. You had to
outscore the Chiefs for you know, maybe four or five
of the years of the run they've had. But now
that's not the case. Now, you know, you have to
just not hurt yourself. That's the new formula to beat
the Chiefs. Don't hurt yourself, meaning don't turn the ball over,

(03:04):
don't give up interceptions, don't fumble, and you got a
chance to beat them because they've been in a lot
of games lately where they've barely beaten people. The statu
is crazy. All the games they've won under seven points.
It really, it's absolutely crazy. They what is it now,
Like ten or eleven games they've won in a row
seven points are under So compliment them, say, right, seven

(03:27):
in a row, I think is a seven in a row?
Right seven in a row? Under seven points? Give them
credit for getting the job done. But that is staggery.
Let's just call what it is. When historically your brain
reverts to them gonna beat you thirty five to twenty,
you know that's just what your brain is thinking.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Now we just haven't seen those games, and it's pretty shocking.
But I'm here to say, and I'm one of these people,
I'm not talking about lifetime achievement or anything like that.
Well that is not or his legacy or all that
talking about right here, right now here, man now. And

(04:03):
when I look at Patrick Mahomes and his play, I
think of Daniel Jones with a great defense. That's that's
what Patrick Mahomes has turned into. I know people don't
want to believe it or say, oh, Rob, you're being
over dramatic or you're dising Patrick Mahomes, I'm not talking

(04:23):
about legacy and Korea. When you start looking at some
of these stats, it's it's staggering. I can't get over
how bad the Kansas City Chiefs are. You talked about
it in the red zone, right y, it is bad.
How are you thirtieth with Patrick Mahomes and some of

(04:45):
the other players You have Kelsey whatever and players of that.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Ill But yeah, I do think that's part of the problem, Rob,
is that they don't have the other players that we've named.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
We're used to a Tyreek hill.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
But you expect a great player to elevate whoever comes.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
Listen, I'm not gonna if you think I'm here to
defend the way he's playing. No, the only difference I'll
say is, first of all, I will like jump over
this thing if you ever say he's Daniel Jones again, Jones,
what a great defense? Crazy as the kids say. Now
that it just it just registered because I know I'm
listen one. I try to be fair and let you cook.
Now right now, you ain't cooking. You barely boiling a

(05:21):
hot dog. Now, what I'm trying to say is I
get the Daniel Jones hold up. I get the Daniel
Jones reference as far as his statistically, but the difference
between he and Daniel Jones is he still finds a
way to make the play. He don't make all the plays.
I'll give you that. He's not making many many plays
like he used to.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Last night, that.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
Run that gave they were already up and they that
running gets the first down. They kept showing it because
it was like a Sue Jones.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
I told you he had no touchdowns and an end
zone pick, you would be like, that's all.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
That's all he And I'm gonna add to your point
to make it even worse. This was his first game
in six straight games without an interception, so yes, I'm
with you. Patrick Mahomes. Ain't Patrick Mahomes right now. And
here's the quiet secret, Rod Parker. It's been like this
for a while. They say, just this season, we're still
early five weeks. Last last you can cherry pick a

(06:17):
couple of games in the postseason as well where he.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Was they got. They got shut out in the second
half against the Ravens.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
In the AFC Championship game.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
They keep running the ball.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Maybe we're having a comedy different conversation with the Ravens
having won, but they got. But this is another point
I have to give credit to Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes.
It on down is that they are. One of the
benefits of winning all the time is the psychological warfare
in which you now dominate. Right, we were talking you

(06:47):
and I off air here twenty eight to three. The
Atlanta Falcons are up on the Patriots, and I remember
going in a halftime and my wife kind of came downstairs.
She wasn't overly watching the game. She goes, oh, look
at his cards. She's like, Oh, they're gonna win. I said, ah,
this is still And I didn't think they were necessarily
going to win, but I thought it ain't over. This
is Brady, And that's one of the benefits you have
when you've won all the time. The Spurs used to

(07:08):
do that to people, where you're like, ah, man, you're
only up eight against the Spurs with another seven minutes left.
I don't know the Warriors. We all go ooh, you're
only up ten with the Warriors. That ain't none but
a few shots for Stephan Clay. And you start to
win the psychological battle, which is a part of the game.
And I'll credit any reading Patrick Mahomes that they have
won that psychological battle where in that last few minutes

(07:30):
people get weird, you start acting outside of yourself.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
You don't run the ball if you're the Baltimore Ravens.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
So I'll credit them with that that they at least
also have not only has their defense gotten better last
year into this year as well, teams beat themselves against
them because they're freaking out about oh we got to
Patrick Mahomes, we gotta beat them, we gotta do this,
and they start beating themselves.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
And here's the Daniel Jones. If you think I'm being.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Like over the top and I'm trying to diss Patrick Mahomes,
here the numbers.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
This season.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Mahomes averages two hundred and sixty three point six total yard. Okay,
he has six touchdowns and six interceptions in five games,
right with a passer rating of eighty eight point nine.
Daniel Jones averages two hundred and forty nine point two
total yards. He has six touchdowns, which matches Patrick Mahomes,

(08:19):
and he has only three interceptions, three less than Patrick Mahomes.
And his quarterback rating is eighty six point three. There
ain't much separation. This is what I'm talking about. Patrick
Mahomes is Daniel Jones with a great defense. Am I lying?

Speaker 2 (08:35):
No, I'm gonna tell you what I'm a lying on,
Bingg Roger.

Speaker 5 (08:39):
You've been working with this man for a long time,
and I've been working with him now for almost a month.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
And you know one name, be fit. You know what name?

Speaker 5 (08:46):
If I bring up, he's ready to blow his gasket.
Aaron Rodgers. You will publicly defend Aaron Rodgers all the way.
Aaron Rodgers better be sending you free packer gear and
free Jets.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Gear the way you defend him.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
But all of a sudden, But all of a sudden,
Patrick Mahon, who has done it more than's some Aaron Rodgers.
You want to compare that man to Daniel Jones. The blasphemy,
I can't believe the blasphemy.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
No, I'm trying to keep it real in that we
got to live in the here and now. This is
not a lifetime achievement. That's what you be cherry picking
when you want to live in here and now. I
always want to get on the lifetime achievement. That's what
you do with Aaron Rodgers. And we turn up a
super Bowl from two thousand.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
And night nine.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
I'm gonna defend a super Bowl winner over a team
that hasn't won a defense.

Speaker 5 (09:31):
Mahomes, he's got three of him. I mean he's currently
got two.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
I'm not gonna defend him when he has when Daniel
Jones has less interceptions and the same quarterback. With Daniel Jones,
as we think of, is the low of the low.
There ain't no way they should ever be on par,
not for a game, not for five games. They should
never be on par. You know what, Senior is up
here and Daniel Jones is down here.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
Keep it that way. You know who would sit here
right now will be cringeworthy. Daniel Jones will be like, ight,
I know, because right, You're like, all right.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
You probably make more money than Mahomes because he took
a bag contract too, by Jay making Daniel Joes making
like forty million.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
Dollars, which you're furthering my point, Daniel Jones. The fact
that he's making anywhere near the same as Patrick Mahomes
is blasphemy.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
I believe.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
No.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
That's because I completely get your point. As far as
Patrick Mahons not bad.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Look at and you just brought it up. Last year
was bad too. What do you have? Rob g sixteen
seventeen interceptions last.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Year was rough?

Speaker 5 (10:34):
To listen, he's something I and he's He's acknowledged that
something's off. He said that he's every week he's still,
you know, working on the fundamentals, working on his mechanics.
But I'm curious what, like Andy Reid would even say,
you know, like, what is off?

Speaker 2 (10:47):
What do you see? What is going on?

Speaker 5 (10:49):
Maybe it's that Kermit the Frog doll that the Raiders have.
Maybe maybe it was a voodoo Do you remember that?

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:54):
I don't remember that. Was it a voodoo doll?

Speaker 4 (10:56):
I was shocked that they were mocking him. I thought, Wow,
the Raiders got so nerve to mock. Patrick Mahomes would
have would have kermit the fraud.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
And then that man went ahead one another title, and
now they don't even know who the coach is. Coach
liking video. Davante Adams went out of there, Robbie laughing
and paint over there and here it is Patrick Mahomes
and the Chiefs ranked thirtieth in red zone efficiency.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Hold on, Mookie thirty.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
He didn't rob him this time?

Speaker 4 (11:24):
He almost did.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
I give him credit.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
That ball almost hit.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
The Wait did he rob hold on? Wait?

Speaker 4 (11:30):
What am I saying?

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (11:32):
Lord, okay, it was glasses or something. I was nervous. Oh,
Mookie's like, that's a home run. That should have been
two games in a row. Mook with a home run.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Move, I told I had Jay Harre on my show
early this morning, and I told Jay Hare and I
told everybody in the studio, move what boy, Elijah, you
better put there.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
You're gonna take credit for the Mookihill like, you hit
the ball.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
You know what? Not turn around to you? Let me
turn around to you. Okay, in real time? Your time,
my man, he almost had.

Speaker 5 (12:02):
I give him credit, like it went off his glove
I give credit almost that would have been if he
if he would have caught that which he he actually
should have had, it almost have turned into the wide
receiver rule.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
This eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Sixteen thousand and eight Super Bowls.

Speaker 5 (12:18):
And I can't be hype up a Mookie home run,
but just saying like you you, oh, that might be
a little too hot.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Can we can we I know you bort for the Dodgers,
Can you relax?

Speaker 4 (12:30):
It was to pop up the shallow white field. He
jumped up like Freddie Freeman.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
I thought it was a bat in the studio game.
I thought that.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
You how did he not catch?

Speaker 6 (12:39):
That?

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Was so clear?

Speaker 5 (12:41):
I'm he caught that with those back to back Robert
look at Mookie was scared like how did he catch it?

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Did he catch it? A lot?

Speaker 1 (12:47):
All? Right?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Here we go.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Here's a question.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Is it fair to say the Chiefs are winning in
spite of Patrick Mahomes right now, in.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
Spite of his play. That's foks with you. It is
the odd couple.

taking calls a seven to seven ninety nine on Fox.

(14:01):
Basically the Kansas City Chiefs. They're five and zero. But
you heard the stats. You got Patrick Mahomes not looking
like what we have become accustomed to over the last
few years.

Speaker 4 (14:11):
Although Jones with a great defense, that's.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
Not you see the blast mean that's going on right
now all right, eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox
who we got.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Let's start with Andrea in Massachusetts. You're on the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. Drey, tell me, I'm lying.

Speaker 5 (14:25):
Rob, I can't go that far, you know, even though
that's all I'm trying to say.

Speaker 6 (14:28):
Jake, he's got six CD's, he's got six interceptions because
play has been absolutely mid. But he's still Patrick Mahomes
and he's still the reason, specifically in these close games,
and the Chiefs are getting it done. That's why they
have the confidence. That's what instills it.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
It's the defense. Well, Andre's the defense. You know that.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
No, I don't let that man talk.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
But at the same time, Patrick Mahomes has to take
them down the field, get them in field position. He
is not playing at an MVP level all time.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Great, well, he's not even playing at a mid level
core back a mediocre quarterback.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
How do you have six interceptions in five games?

Speaker 8 (15:05):
Rock?

Speaker 6 (15:05):
But again, if they had to clutch the taste the
NBA has these advanced dets, they had a clutch that
for the NFL, he'd be right there at.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
The top of that one, you know, and they do.
It's called getting the job done you getting what do
you mean? We clearly see always makes the right always.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
There's always these phony calls, these phantom.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
When you tell people to call us, say.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Push Patrick Mahomes out of bounds. That's all the stuff
that they have. Rob G jumping ro just.

Speaker 9 (15:33):
Quickly, I'm not taking sides in this one case. You
just just reading the number.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
I'm ready, gee is a fair and balanced producers.

Speaker 5 (15:42):
You know, I don't know you said to my right.
It's almost politically he laying the right. They always lay
the right.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (15:47):
Patrick Mahomes currently nineteen in the NFL and passer ready
he used to mention it nineteen. Okay, he's directly sandwiched
between Andy Dalton.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
And Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 9 (15:57):
My goodness, gracious, two of the legends no chemick quarterback position.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
In the NFL.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
When it comes to quarterback, he's sandwich between hot garbage.
That's where Patrick Mahomes is in the set, in the
middle of hot garbage.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
I'm listening. The man ain't playing to his standard.

Speaker 5 (16:13):
Don't disagree five and oh, as Dre just said, I
don't trust anybody else with one minute left like I
trust him.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Neither do you?

Speaker 5 (16:20):
Rob G and neither do you, Rob Parker, even though
you're gonna deny it, deny it, and neither does Alex.
And Alex don't even be watching Brandon. That's Brandon and Riverside.
You're California, You're on the couple of Fox Sports Radio.
What's up, Brandon, Man, I don't know what you Come
talk to him, Brandon, talk to him.

Speaker 10 (16:41):
Be No.

Speaker 8 (16:43):
I don't know if Vegas has a war off few
death cards somewhere, but come on, you you would not
tack Daniel Jones over Patrick Mahomes in a game.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
I'm just saying right now, but that's just blasphemous.

Speaker 8 (16:59):
Yes, I know his numbers are not there. You're right
all about it. He does something. He sucks right now.
But guess what, I made five hundred dollars off the
forty nine ers last year because the Patrick Mahomes and
I will not put that same wager on Daniel Jones
that he was in the game.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
I got it.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
But but you gotta be honest, Brandan. He is he
hasn't played well last year, didn't played well, and now
here we are five games in and he's the nineteenth
best quarterback and quarterback that's clear.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
We do have to qualify, right.

Speaker 8 (17:32):
You're right, you one hundred percent right. I'm not I
know listening to this show that you know your fact,
you got all, you always proved you but you say so,
you're you're right about that. But you can't sit there
and say he's a dang you're chilling with a great defense.
He does for gay defense. But you can't say, Daniel Jones, Roban.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Thank you, that's all.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
That's all I was trying to say. Hey, that's what
I was trying to tell him, Brandon. I said, he
isn't playing gray.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
He has not.

Speaker 5 (18:01):
He's created a standard that's so high we try to
hold him to that standard.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
Right, I'm saying about that. That's a good This.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Is no, no, no, last season wasn't good for him.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
That's that line from last season from most quarterbacks outside
of maybe two or.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Three would be a very very good season.

Speaker 5 (18:16):
Seventeen touch interceptions never but how many touchdowns and how
many team games did he win?

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Games did his team win?

Speaker 5 (18:22):
So I'm worrying with you this Saint Patrick Mahons will
sit here and tell you this isn't the real Patrick Mahomes.
But this is why you took it too far would
you call that man? Daniel Jones? Daniel Jones wouldn't agree
with you.

Speaker 4 (18:32):
Andy and Washington. You're on the couple of Fox Sportuatio.
What's up?

Speaker 8 (18:35):
Andy's the guys?

Speaker 2 (18:37):
What's up? What's up? Buddy?

Speaker 8 (18:39):
Hello? Is this on? Thank you?

Speaker 10 (18:45):
Kelvin Ford and Robbins.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
I tried.

Speaker 10 (18:49):
I'm starting to worry about him. Why I got I
got a question wrong? Okay, would you trade Mahomes for
Daniel Jones?

Speaker 5 (18:59):
No?

Speaker 4 (18:59):
I wouldn't do that.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
No, But I'm telling you right now, what are you
telling us? How does Daniel Jones the numbers? He has
less interceptions than Patrick Mahomes, they have the same number
of touchdowns, and the quarterback rating is almost identical.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
That's all I'm.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Because it's five weeks in. He's been trying to do
things with out.

Speaker 5 (19:15):
He lost his best receiver, Andy lost his he lost
his best running back, and Travis Kelsey had to warm
up to see.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
That's all.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
But he had the same conversation in a while, and
those numbers are gonna be like twenty touchdowns to you know,
I'll give him like an interception NA nine, right, He'll
be backballing and then you're gonna be already trying to
find another reason hat on Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
No, not at all. Is that Andy's.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Patrick Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
You're taking y'all Andy here, here's my point.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Though.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
You gotta admit last year was bad, right, Like I
know they wont.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
The Super Bad as extreme, though you gotta find it
was bad.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
And now this year he's got He's off to a
bad start, aren't you.

Speaker 10 (19:53):
I wouldn't mind playing bad if I'm winning the Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
Yeah, but I'm just saying for for the kind of
quarterback kids. The numbers are surprise and his we got
to set.

Speaker 8 (20:01):
It down on the worlds that bad they're feeling.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
He's mediocre. He's a mediocre sandwich.

Speaker 5 (20:07):
You know it tastes good sometime you keep adding up sauce,
You keep adding extra sauce to it. You need extra
ketchup on that. Thanks Andy, preciating every time. I'm just
ready to ride with you like it wasn't as bad.
Then you go and you go and get crazy. What
I keep saying about last season is twenty seven touchdowns
to fourteen interceptions, forty almost forty two hundred yards, sixty
seven completion percentage. That's literally an MVP for anybody else not. No,

(20:30):
it's not fourteen two hundred yards twenty seven touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
Go look at the quarterbacks of one MVP. They ain't
throw fourteen.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
I'm talking about last season. Who was who was really
better than that?

Speaker 5 (20:41):
Outside of Lamar Lamar, maybe maybe Josh h Josh Allen.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
And Brock Party was in the mix.

Speaker 5 (20:48):
And so my point is that was a really good
season from most people folds. I'm not arguing with I'm
saying for most people, that's a really good season.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
It wasn't for his standard.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
So I'm saying when we say last season was bad,
saying's gonna pipe down.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
We got pipe down just a little bit. We're getting
a little carried away.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
This man all right, Mookie Betts hits a home run?

Speaker 5 (21:19):
Right?

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Oh, we get home run? That was it? Now?

Speaker 5 (21:22):
How many times has he had a crooked neck rodgerie
from staring at it at a Yankees game or something?

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Over and Mets game? Over here. You can't even pay attention.
I'm like, you know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (21:30):
Rob? No, Rob, Rob, I've only been here three and
a half weeks and I've already seen it happen.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
It's a baseball playoffs. It's nothing.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Also, when I get turned up, it's a issue knowing you.

Speaker 4 (21:42):
I'm not but I'm not giving play by play of
the game.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
What do you mean?

Speaker 9 (21:46):
No, you do it, Rob, but you don't do it
on the air. You're like, what did the talk back?

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Exactly? So literally, I'll be like.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
Rogie, so what happened is I'll be like Patrick Mahomes
needs a passer to Travis Kelce.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (21:59):
And it's my you know what I'm talking about? See
how you couldn't hear me?

Speaker 5 (22:03):
People?

Speaker 2 (22:04):
That's him? Hey, Yo, she's Alex. Did you say you
know Alex?

Speaker 4 (22:07):
Don't care?

Speaker 7 (22:08):
Why are you talking to Alex about it? I swear
he was telling me about Aaron Judge when he was
in school. Alex, He's gonna be a top five fitdle
all time.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
I'm looking at six seven.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
How come you didn't give a commentary on that?

Speaker 2 (22:19):
No, because you're talking smack right now? Okay, that's what I'm.

Speaker 5 (22:21):
Talking about here, I'm talking to the back of your
head because you're looking.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
At the TV.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
All you need to know. And they used to get
on me about when Chris was here. Yeah, is that
I'm always listening. It was just radio. I don't have
to look at you to hear you. No, you have
to respond, though, I'll be like, you know what I mean. Rob,
I'm round to you, Rob J I'm not listen.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
I'm listening listening.

Speaker 9 (22:42):
Well, I'll tell you what. In fairness and defensive Rob
he is Johnny Cochran. His interest in Aaron Judges too well.
Number one, he's a Yankees man. Don't let him say
I grew up. Tell some man, I'm feeling major humber.
Two and more importantly, Rob is financially in vested in
every black player in Major League Baseball.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
That's a good point.

Speaker 9 (23:03):
So he was as excited about the Mooie Bets home
run as he that's like seven more.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
I no, maybe that was the one he was.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
He was, alright, Well, I already texted and put it
on Front Street on the website MLB broad dot com
Mookie's home runs.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
It was you. I saw emoji was an eye row
and that that's why I win.

Speaker 9 (23:18):
No, Tanian is when he's like this guy again, like
can't use.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
That, which, by the way, are you are you at
that place now where you can admit that he's that
guy like that because you're always doing it with a
little bit of apprehension.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
But what guy, I'm like like like lifetime, like like
people say he's.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
The greatest player ever, no season long.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
You were like to add a little little little something
to it.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
No, I was like, I'm not going to the base
stealing all the fifty bases.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
That hold on. They already walking out to walker bule.
Hold on.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
Now, this is the first in and a second in. Okay,
he got out of the first end. You should be
happy over under was three innings. Okay, so he might
be in a hunder right now, hold up, I don't
know what. And then you get the out of first either.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
He didn't get that second. We might review that. They
didn't get both, They might have to review that.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
Hey, Davonte Adams, Yeah, oh no, he didn't get that.
No man, Davonte Adams. He once we talked about a
couple of teams that he wants to go to the
Jets or the Saints. Uh, you've been defending Aaron Rodgers
in the Saints all day because they've made this amazing move.
Now they bring in by the way, they bring in
Bill Belichick, what do they do now they don't have
to do what the Jets. Yeah, No, they got the

(24:24):
defensive coordinate has been elevated. They're not gonna rob They're
not gonna bring in a new coach.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
No, I'm know.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
I'm saying, would you like to see either replacement down
the road?

Speaker 1 (24:33):
I'm not right now. It depends on what they were
able to do. Uh, and if they can get this
thing righted, they're in position. My only point is the
season's not lost. Most of the time when they fired coaches,
they're on and five oh to four. You can't come
back from that two and three with a game against
the team you're you're chasing. You get it together. You

(24:54):
want a good game, Right, you win a game, you're
in first place.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (24:59):
That's listen. There's literally no argument to that. So I
don't have an argument.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Set up, but it's set up for whomever right that
if you win that game, and then you could start
doing the other things, just clean up something.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
I think you're not gonna.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Get Aaron Rodgers with three interceptions again, Like that's a
that's an outline. B.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
I'm just saying I don't know about that. I was
with you till you said that part.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Now, what will help Ann Rodgers possibly not throw three
interceptions is if they were to get Devonte Adams and.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
He's not going to New Orleans now because every time.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
You Carr, he keeps getting hurt, traded.

Speaker 5 (25:30):
He should get over the dome at some point he
might have to be like, yo, d is there a problem?
Like I'm over here trying to get with you and
you keep avoiding me or getting hurt again.

Speaker 4 (25:39):
Say, Derek, College was nice.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Okay, let's just.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
Let's just move on. Then let's move We're both in
our thirties at this point. By the way, the most
starts since twenty fourteen is Derek Carr. That is crazy.
I don't know why. I just thought that would be
somebody else. Oh gosh, okay, sorry, had a heart attack
for a second there. Anyway, I thought that was it.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
Happens when you're paid for paid by the team.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
I mean, if they don't pay me, do they let
me do the math on that? That's neither here nor there.

Speaker 4 (26:08):
Do they not pay you?

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Well, I'm just saying.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
I mean, it's, you know, the spectrum as a whole,
not a specific it's a collection plates, think like church
or something. All Right, the Saints, obviously you're out of this.
So if the Jets were to no, no, no, no, no,
stay focused. If the Jets were to get Davonte Adams,
I'm not saying anything. This is when I get I
would all of a sudden start to think that.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
I'm waving at rob g.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
They would all of a sudden get to make some
moves in the offense might improve. By the way, I
do need you to admit this, this is my professionalism
right now. I'm ignoring the fact that they just got
a couple runs.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
I do need you to acknowledge this.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Okay, I'm listening, seriously.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
Just acknowledge that if I told you you had these
running backs, you had Garrett Wilson, you had a couple
other players, and now you're bringing to Aaron Rodgers, Aaron
Rodgers bringing in the offensive coordinator he wanted. You did,
expecting to be better than twenty seventh in pretty much
every stature. Right now, come on, I twenty seventh and
scoring twenty seventh in total yards, twenty third and first downs, Like.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
I would expect that the a that they would have
run the ball better.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
So yeah, I agree with that, where Aaron Rodgers wouldn't
be throwing picks like he has, which I think it
was the first time in his career.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
Was it the first time or right, first time in
his career he had three in thee that's first time.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
In his career, the first time in his career.

Speaker 9 (27:21):
He had two first quarters first quarter.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
The first I knew there was something that he had
never done before.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
And then the other one was that the offensive line,
you know, like and and all those false starts, right
and all that like that that throws off your offense.
You know, you keep getting false starts. So sure it
has been bad. I mean all of a collection. Aaron Rodgers,
the running game, the offensive line, they shouldn't be.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
Here, but they're there. In the season is not escaped them.

Speaker 5 (27:54):
And yeah, I told you my biggest I'm absolutely not
going to deny that that is a factual thing.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
So we'll see.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
And again, if Deavante Adams making somehow gets there, that's
only gonna help him we'll give an update on this
Padres Dodger game.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
I may be walking out.

Speaker 5 (28:09):
Of the studio early, just you know, maybe you doing this?
So the rest of the way. Last call, by the way,
eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox you could trash anybody, or it
could be Kelvin.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
It could be me. I'm just saying it's last call.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Give me your phone. See who you texted?

Speaker 5 (28:25):
No, no, you might text the Dodger hater to call
into eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox Holeredos.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
It is the Eye Couple, Rob Parker, Kevin Yo.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
Who was it?

Speaker 2 (28:33):
It's looking bad right now. Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (28:36):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple

Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 4 (28:48):
It is the Couple.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
Somber moments, Rob Parker, Kelvin Washington, who was sick to death.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
He's are you leaving or you're gonna walk out?

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (28:59):
Out?

Speaker 2 (29:00):
You got it? What are you doing?

Speaker 8 (29:01):
Man?

Speaker 2 (29:01):
I'm out?

Speaker 4 (29:02):
Don't don't leave.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Come on, man, you got it.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
It's only six to one.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
San Diego Uh, Fernando Tattoos just hit a two run jack.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
Yeah, my goodness, alright.

Speaker 5 (29:14):
I even you gotta be am I not fair. I
called that once. He was like, oh he's about to
any one right here?

Speaker 4 (29:18):
Did you did call that?

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Well?

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Broadcasting live from the tyrach dot com studios. Tyrerech dot
com will help you get the an unmatch selection, fast
free shipping, free road has a protection and over ten
thousand recommended installers. Tyrerach dot com the way tire buying
should be. And guess what it is? Time for last call?

Speaker 5 (29:37):
This is the last comes.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Last last call? Time on the odd couple?

Speaker 5 (29:48):
All right, last call? It is Woody in Indianapolis, Naptown. Wow,
good man, you on the last call on the couple.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
What's happening?

Speaker 7 (30:02):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (30:02):
Nothing much.

Speaker 8 (30:03):
I just got a question for Rob. Yes, you get
Statick Mahomes and and he's doing real, real bad this season, right.

Speaker 4 (30:12):
Yes, he's Daniel Jones with a great defense.

Speaker 8 (30:16):
Boy, that just means that all the rest of the
quarterbacks are doing work. How how he five? At least
he's winning his games.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Yeah, the defense is winning the games. They're unbelievable. The
defense is spectacular.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
Right, the game Patrick Mahomes had no touchdowns and an
interception in the end zone.

Speaker 4 (30:36):
Did you watch it?

Speaker 8 (30:38):
So how come they're not five?

Speaker 3 (30:40):
And oh, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
I mean the defense is really good. That's what they
got going for them. The defense.

Speaker 1 (30:46):
Do you remember gets the Ravens. The Ravens stepped out
of bounds. Remember that on a game time touchdown?

Speaker 5 (30:51):
You remember that if my man had a swollen toe,
yes he didn't have a swollen toe war size ten
instead of for twelve, they might have won that game.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
But to his to what point? Listen?

Speaker 5 (31:00):
Man? And again, you know I've been again saying that
Patrick Mahomes something's off, he's not right. But you gotta
give credit to finding ways to win. And they've been
doing this for years. The Buffalo Bills were up and
gave him fourteen seconds and still found a way to
lose that game. That was one of those remarkable things
I've ever seen in the football game ever.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
And now, okay, so I know you're sick over the Dodgers.
They're down six to one. Where are we going to
the top of the third?

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Correct? Top of the third? But the big controversy.

Speaker 5 (31:29):
Yeah I want to Yeah, man, we haven't I'm gonna
go to I'm gonna go on socials.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
I I just saw it. They just sold the replayment.
When they come back, they'll do it again. But Many Machado,
it's a it's a ground ball and Freddie Freeman throws
it and Many Machado's on the grass on the inside,
so the ball hit him in the back.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
They was shoulder shoulder shoulder and then went into left field.
And that kind of started the floodgates. I mean, they're
getting hits too, but that was a big play. And
so Rob G, what what are people saying that the
Dodgers got robbed? But I didn't see Dave Roberts come
out and argue it.

Speaker 9 (32:03):
No he didn't. And yeah, the social media is buzzing
about it because it's really split. It's on one hand, yes,
that looked like it was an illegal, you know play.

Speaker 4 (32:12):
What would they called like interfering?

Speaker 9 (32:15):
And someone call it the Reggie he Reggie Jackson did?
People are saying right now now.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Reggie Jackson was different Reggie Jackson, which I was watching
the game, rob G stopped in the base pass and
stuck his butt out that hit the ball like he
was watching it now man, he's back.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
Yeah, he wasn hard, running hard the second so he
couldn't see what was going on.

Speaker 9 (32:34):
Right, So, like I said, they're split because on one
hand it's it's also who it is, right, and what
he did was obviously not you know, kosher. However, on
the flip side, that play did not.

Speaker 2 (32:49):
Things.

Speaker 9 (32:50):
Yeah, it did not impact you know, Freddie Freeman missing
a ball hit down the first base line, walker Bulele
throwing up a meatball to Fronwo Tatis Junior. During the commercial,
broker we were talking about like, oh he's something's getting
hit hard, there's going to be a strike at her
own run and into the second the second level.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
So no, no, no, no, it wasn't.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
I mean, listen, it was fans of all on Dave
Roberts is talking. I wonder if he's mentioning it.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Too late, because what's shocking to me, seriously, is that
nobody threw a fit in real time.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
I'll get you that right.

Speaker 5 (33:20):
And to be fair, all of us were watching again
in real time, and none of us we didn't like that.
None of us saw anything to.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
See where he was in relations to the base.

Speaker 5 (33:30):
And here it is again, here it is all right,
So we're watching this buddy Freeman on his knees a
man that is kind of.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
He did take about two steps into the to the grass.

Speaker 9 (33:42):
And they just clarified on the broadcast said it was
John Smoltz said, according to the rule book, unless he
is trying to avoid a tag, there is no rule
that says he cannot run into the grass.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
And that's it.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
When you're trying, like when you're running and then somebody's
trying to tag, you can't run into the outfit and
try to run around or get to the base.

Speaker 9 (34:02):
So I guess that they described it as a quote
heads up play by Machiado.

Speaker 4 (34:07):
Okay, so then that's fair.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
Well, then hey, that's gamesmanship. If he knew that, credit
to him. Maybe that's why Dave Roberts didn't challenge it.
They got one on. They got show hey, show hey,
we need it. If he hits, if he can do
what he do right here, this will be amazing.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
And now show hey realizes you know what, he came
to the Dodgers. I'm not gonna win, hear he though.

Speaker 5 (34:24):
This is first of all, he got to the Dodgers immediately,
and what did he do fifty to fifty and gets
straight to the postseason. I'm just saying, Okay, why you
don't like show Hey, Why you don't like Greatness? You
don't like show Hey, you don't like Patrick mahomes over there?

Speaker 4 (34:37):
It's not true.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
What's wrong with you? I don't have Boom boom.

Speaker 5 (34:40):
First thing he do? Get right in here, rob g.
Who's the biggest joker fan going in the NBA? I
mean that's an obscure person to kind of like he
like Lebron or Steph Curry, Like, who's the biggest joker?

Speaker 2 (34:53):
Like, nobody really hates joker.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
He won three MVP. How's obscurity won three MVPs.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
He's not that controversial. It's just like, yeah, it's jokers.
Joker Like, you don't like show Hey, you don't like
you got show? Hey?

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Is arguably gonna be one of the greatest.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
Of all time because not told Patrick Mahome is gonna
probably be top one to two quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
You don't like great you don't like Lebron.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
I'm just not a sheep. I don't follow the herd.

Speaker 5 (35:18):
You need to why you lost nine straight in Shekel
City starf Come on over, follow us a little bit.
Dodgers got to come back. Nobody else now, bookie listen.
Hit a home run last game, just happened to get robbed.
Get home run today it didn't get robbed. He's one,
here comes another one down six to four. It would
be yeah, six, you got two one can't see yet

(35:39):
two on here we go.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Dang move. You know he wants You could say, you
could tell he wants.

Speaker 5 (35:44):
