last week. We got some first of all, the biggest
trade at least in my lifetime, and Luca and Anthony Davis.
But another one you got that happened was Jimmy Butler
heading up to the Bay. They've already played a couple
of games now with the Warriors to and O. They've
been happy about it. A conversation was had with Draymond Green.

Was it on his podcast? It was on the Draymond
Green Podcast. Uh, here's what he had to say about
them acquiring Jimmy Butler and what Steph Curry.

Told him, Like, we got Jimmy Butler, Like this is
no small dude, it's Jimmy Butler. Steph after the trade,
he looked at me and he said, man, it's crazy
because it just dawned on me.

do it. Let's right right to the hills, fall up. Yeah,

so let's talk about it. They acquired Jimmy Butler. They
look good right now, they say. Jimmy say, look, I've
never been a guy to shoot a bunch of threes.
Steph obviously, as we know, shoots a bunch of threes.
I'm more of a defensive guy. Steph not necessarily known

for that. They like that they're the opposites on each end,
and they're calling this the last Ride. And I think
it makes sense, rob because remember Steph Curry said he
didn't want this organization to fall flat and give up
any everything for the sake of him to sell the
whole team for the second him and then once he's
done and you know, two, three, four years, whatever it
may be, be screwed for a decade and never be

the same. So this last ride actually reminds me of
kind of what we're witnessing as well in LA. Who
knows what's gonna happen. But the Lakers go out and
get Luca. Is for the future. But Lebron, I'm sure,
looks at it and says, man, this is for the now,
me and Luca for a year or two. This is
the last ride.

While I don't believe the Warriors have enough, I don't
think Jimmy Butler moved the needle enough for them to
do anything to actually be real contenders in the Western
Conference and have a chance with.

The rest of the team or no Warriors.

No what I gave Andrew Wiggins, they gave up a
slow mo as they call him, and some picks as well.
But I do enjoy the idea of seeing a possible
last ride for Steph, you know, for a year or two,
last ride for Lebron, and if they're competitive, I think
that's great for the league. If your main star players
are actually competitive, not just in the as we mentioned

earlier a couple hours ago, not just Kevin Durant on
a Suns team that ain't really doing nothing, but if
you have a very competitive Warriors team, a very competitive
Lakers team with Lebron and Luca with Steph and Jimmy
and Draymond, and they're making noise and for the last
year this season, maybe next year. I think that'll be
good for the league as you begin to slowly start

ushering in the new teams that potentially in the new
Stars can take this league and hopefully, as the Adam
Silver would hope and even us fans of the game
to the next level.

hope it ends up being a fun one where we

half or so where this can be entertaining. And then

saying the guy can't play, but you're giving up picks.
You're giving up Wiggins, Like, like, that's not the future.

and Steph who's not even playing that well himself, it's
really gonna it's gonna like come somehow win the championship
or get to the final.

look at the Warriors as one of them.

The other issue though, rob with Clay was it wasn't
just simply the money. It was that he actually thought
he was better than he was and had been for
the last three years. And no, I agree with that
he had the equity without of that competitor for Jimmy
Butlers a equity.

We didn't win anything like you could say, oh he
got the he to I get it to the finals twice,
but man, he didn't win anything. I think if you win,
it gives you a little more cash at.

I think that thissue with Clay was where they needed
him to be.

He did it, but but grudgingly he didn't really like it.
He didn't want to give a way for the you

I wasn't the most humble and best team player towards

not that he just lost his way as a player.

You're not a top seventy five player. But he was
really upset about that. So I don't know. Clay the
last few years was really not understanding where he was.
But I think the Jimmy Butler move again. I don't

three four contenders in the West.

becoming the eighth player in NBA history, which is crazy because,
I mean, eighth in all of NBA history is an

Especially when you miss two and a half season.

But he has just been an automatic walking bucket. So
the conversation we're having is with Kevin Durant, who is
playing right now, has the ball right now even as

it's insane what he's been able to do his whole career.
The conversation becomes, you know, where do we put.

As far as scores, I think most people know what
he is. He's one of the greatest scores and even
you know, aesthetically like just watching him, he's basically a
seven footer being able to do any and everything on

free throws, hit three point. He's mit Rangers. He is
an absolute assassin out on the court and he's a

main man, and that he is a finals MVP two
time over with the Warriors. But it has been a
weird seven eight years stretch for him where folks don't
like him anymore because he went to the Warriors. Folks
say he, you know, the only one because he went
to the Warriors, he jumped on their back.

I think that's a lot of people. You know that bro,
A lot of people will It would be different if
he went there and he didn't win the finals mv

issue Rob has been that he's been and I can't
find any other word but bullied out of situations and
for where how great he is arguably you know, at
the end of the at the end of their careers,
we'll see where people rank him over Steph. But for
the time being, he was better than Steph for me

for sure. He got bullied out of places. He was
there in Seattle first before Russell Westbrook. Then he became
obviously Oklahoma City Thunder. It was his team. Him and
Russ were a great one two, probably the best.

was unbelievable and then he bombed.

He came yet, but later we would see that's kind
of him in the postseason, doesn't necessarily live up to

So Russell Westbrook, they had issues, he and KD, and
KD wanted his own team. He wasn't relcessarily getting along
and he was ready to do something different.

He leaves where we know he was the one, he
was the OUTFA, he was the best player on the team.
But he leaves to go join with the Warriors, where
it would never be his team. It will be Steph's team,
even though he was the better player. In my opinion,
it's Steph teams his team. He's the warrior, he's a
two time ragning MVP, so on and so forth. Then
when they get into it, Draymond calls him a b

him take control of situation, being like the man. And
that's what makes it weird when for his talent, for
a decade decade plus, maybe he was the second best
player behind Lebron, and he always said he wanted to
be I'm tired of being literally second fiddle.

Though Lebron went everywhere like it's not as very like
when you look at Lebron. The reason a lot of
especially former athletes, don't respect Lebron totally is because of
the movement and because of he always had to stack
his team. And that's why there are people, despite all
the numbers, despite all the stuff that he's done, there
are people who will never give him that.

The counter would be he went and he completely shifted
the franchise, meaning but he didn't win Ornobody. But he
always say literally he won with every team he went

Even Tom Brady who's played a long time, he has

didn't win and then if it wasn't for the flurry

these teams, it was a seismic shift, meaning he was

in control of teams. You felt his presence.

like to me, I get it. They won the Bubble championship.
It's a championship, accounts. But there's a lot of disappointment

point is you felt his presence on an organization, is

be perfectly satisfied. You felt Lebron's present. He has control,
he's running the team, he's running the organization. They're doing
everything to cater to him. They put his son Miami.
They let like you felt his presence, good batter and different,
winning or losing with KD just ghost places outside of
the wards when he was still but he just goes there,
like like if Lebron went to or Steph Curry went

to Phoenix, it would be a seismic shift, it would
be the thing. He just in Phoenix. He went to
Brooklyn out He's just in Brooklyn. And that's what I'm saying.

That it's that Bucks championship that should have been his,
that was the one that would have changed.

seen them defend like that. One of the best defenders

obviously scoring, Yeah, it was. It was incredible to me.
But yeah, but I think that's a part of it
is that he hasn't had that where he controlled a
franchise like a Kobe did, like a Jordan did, like

Magic did, like Bird so on, where you felt his presence.
It was seismic shifts because KD has arrived like you

and when Yukon erased that deficit went on to win
a key win over a ring opponent heading into the tournament,
they caught him on a hot mic yelling at a
Creighton fan two rings, Baldy pointing to his ring face.

And you know what's funny about the whole situation is
normally when that happens, the coaches and micd up they
just kind of see the back and forth. This one
was caught right on camera so he couldn't hide from
h Yeah, and he's doing showing off his finger and
everything like that. So he said afterwards, he basically yeah,
he kind of confirmed the exchange. He said, I'm not
gonna lie to you. That was very gratifying. I waited

up some people.

I just wish there was more of them still left.

That was him saying that they exited the they were winning,
so we went full dad hurly what he did. My
only thing is, and I get it, Rob G and
Kelvin they were yelling f you or whatever, Adam Like,
I get it. But as the coach, the role model,
the gentleman, the grown up to set an example for

your kids, I just think that's one of those things
where you just got to accept it. You're on the road,
you know, college kids they drink. It was dollar beer
night too, Did I throw that in? It was dollar
beer night, so people had the beer goggles and the
beer courage and all that going on. And all I'm
saying is it looks classless. It does.

And Rob G, I'm glad you're doing the other thing he.

Said about the referee, because he's been doing that all year. Like,
I don't know if it was because the Lakers were
trying to hire him and he turned them down.

I get it that he's coming off two championships.

I get all that, but but there's an air of
arrogance and and like this class to you. You don't
have to stoop as low as other people or people
in a group. You know that the lowest common denominated.
When people are in a group, they'll do stuff that
they would never do to your face individually.

And you got to understand that. I just think it's
a bad look for him.

Man, clap back. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of
grown people. Sixteen year olds don't go to games on themselves, right,
you can't you you're at home. This is grown people.
I don't care if it's twenty one and seventy one. Daggett,
you talking about me. You're screaming at me all the time.
Every now and again, you deserve a clapback. I'm not
saying you do everyone. I'm not saying you you argue
with everybody, because otherwise you be doing it all day

long as a player as a coach. But dagget I
don't mind the clap back every now and again to
remind these fans that you are a fan and I'm
down here doing it, coaching, playing, whatever it may be,
and have a little fun with it too. Plus we
talk about this from what we do. I don't mind
having a little player with an edge. I don't mind
having a coach with as a little edge to them
that says something every now and again, that's a little
rowdy every now and again.

I think it makes it good for what we do.

I think it makes it good for sports that everybody
is in the exact same You know, everybody's.

been happy about it. A conversation was had with Draymond Green.

Green Podcast. Uh, here's what he had to say about
them acquiring Jimmy Butler and what Steph Curry.

Told him, Like, we got Jimmy Butler, Like this is
no small dude, it's Jimmy Butler. Steph after the trade,
he looked at me and he said, man, it's crazy
because it just dawned on me.

I'm more of a defensive guy. Steph not necessarily known

for that. They like that they're the opposites on each end,
and they're calling this the last Ride. And I think
it makes sense, rob because remember Steph Curry said he
didn't want this organization to fall flat and give up
any everything for the sake of him to sell the
whole team for the second him and then once he's
done and you know, two, three, four years, whatever it
may be, be screwed for a decade and never be

the same. So this last ride actually reminds me of
kind of what we're witnessing as well in LA. Who
knows what's gonna happen. But the Lakers go out and
get Luca. Is for the future. But Lebron, I'm sure,
looks at it and says, man, this is for the now,
me and Luca for a year or two. This is
the last ride.

While I don't believe the Warriors have enough, I don't
think Jimmy Butler moved the needle enough for them to
do anything to actually be real contenders in the Western
Conference and have a chance with.

No what I gave Andrew Wiggins, they gave up a
slow mo as they call him, and some picks as well.
But I do enjoy the idea of seeing a possible
last ride for Steph, you know, for a year or two,
last ride for Lebron, and if they're competitive, I think
that's great for the league. If your main star players
are actually competitive, not just in the as we mentioned

earlier a couple hours ago, not just Kevin Durant on
a Suns team that ain't really doing nothing, but if
you have a very competitive Warriors team, a very competitive
Lakers team with Lebron and Luca with Steph and Jimmy
and Draymond, and they're making noise and for the last
year this season, maybe next year. I think that'll be
good for the league as you begin to slowly start

ushering in the new teams that potentially in the new
Stars can take this league and hopefully, as the Adam
Silver would hope and even us fans of the game
to the next level.

saying the guy can't play, but you're giving up picks.
You're giving up Wiggins, Like, like, that's not the future.
Do you really think you know a beat up Draymond

and Steph who's not even playing that well himself, it's
really gonna it's gonna like come somehow win the championship
or get to the final.

look at the Warriors as one of them.

brother and his girl and this woman I was seeing

didn't come. Like, so we order, we eat. She shows
up and they're giving us a bottle of champagne. They
recognized me and just said, hey, it's some champagne.

But when she got there late after we had had dinner,
had to or whatever, she wanted to order dinner to go.
I was like no, no, no, I was like, the
check has been paid for, it's all done.

You're not gonna come a hour and a half late
to a date and then order a meal to go.
