Brown's disgusting feat. That was a topic of conversation. Do
you really trust what you're being told by the Indianapolis
Colts and the Andrew Luck injury? And then how about

(00:22):
Baker Mayfield going fake argument guy in front of all
of our very eyes and ears. That's all coming up
next here It is The Odd Couple on Fox Sports Radio.

You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Oh yeah, are you

(01:05):
gonna do it for us or not? I gotta do it? Yeah,
I want you to do it ahead, how long do
you want it for? Let's see, uh, forty five seconds?
Can you do it? Forty five? That'll be tough, and
I'll give it a word all right, let's do it.
Oh yes, wow, wow, thanks for joining the program. Goodnight everbody,

(02:01):
Jason Smith, Mike Carmen coming up that program. Ben Maller
Show is next here on radio. Nice job, Jonas, not
quite forty five seconds. It is the Odd Couple Rob
Parker along with Jonas Knox. Rob park that's right. Who's
in for Chris Broussard as he continues his vacation this week?
Some of us have to work, you know, I'm always here. Yeah,

(02:24):
you're always working, man. I mean, look I hear you man,
what are you going to get a day off finally? Yeah?
I mean is this ridiculous or not? I mean when
when are you going to actually like get to like,
I don't know, going like a cruise or like a
yacht or something, you know what? Yeah, maybe I could
get that way overdue, way overdue. That's right. But it
is the Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio and we're
coming to you live from the Geico Fox Sports Radio studios.

(02:46):
Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on
car insurance, so you could visit Geico dot com for
a free rate. Quote Jonas, how are you doing today? Good?
Just hanging out? We got to a football here. I love.
I love the Godzilla approach of the NFL. You know
that Godzilla just steps all over this guy. Yeah, Godzilla

(03:10):
steps all over the small things beneath him, just rips
apart small towns. You know what the small things beneath
Godzilla's feets are. This time he wants that Major League
Baseball take a stop, take a walk, as they steps
all over major League Baseball. Here we go, Here we
go again, the type of code. You know. Only football
is the only sport where people have to go around
and go are you ready to be? I can't wait, Oh,

(03:34):
I can't wait, or they try to convince you, like
they always have to try to convince you that the
sport is good. And then the Hall of Fame game
comes on and everybody was ready, right, everybody's ready for football.
I just want to watch football. I can't wait. Hall
of Fame game comes on, and the waiting to down
because nobody wants to watch it. The stands are empty.
Everybody loves football. How many of you I'll start Football

(03:57):
leagues have failed? Dude, Come on with that, over and
over and over. Did you were you able to watch
any of the preseason last weekend on your yacht or
was that I was not watching preseason football? And most
people when I had season tickets. I owned season tickets
to the Detroit Lions. We couldn't give away, and no one,

(04:17):
do you hate football? You Detroit Lions? God man, they're
the diaper fire of the league. They've got what one
playoff win in a thousand years? Nineteen fifty. Last time
the Lions won a playoff game, widerp was three. I
think sports writers were using typewriters. That's pretty bad. All right,
we got a great show, a lot of stuff to
talk about. But first, let's welcome in the odd couple crew,

(04:41):
because we wouldn't be able to do this fine radio
program without him. Of course, Rob g is our producer,
Alex is our engineer. Brian Fenley is our sports anchor.
He's at the anchor desk. He'll keep us updated throughout
the program. Many is is our intern, Kahari is my
personal intern, and yes, Elijah who is our social media guru.

(05:04):
And I talk about Elijah all the time because his
work is so good. Yeah. So they're all on the
other side of the glass. So come on. Jonas knocks
on this Wednesday it's a worship Wednesday. Let's kick some math.
Damn straight, ye still store it? So here we go
again again. Here's the part, dude. I love to watch football,
I'm like everybody else, but the made up stories and

(05:27):
the stuff that goes on. You know what I'm talking about, Jonas,
It's like, it's like I love when they go a
certain player goes, certain quarterback says we're going to make
a long run into play Oh my god, you really
like you expect to go to the playoffs and make
a run and have a chance to win. I mean,
is that that's a story? It's the story is we

(05:50):
can't win. I'm looking at this roster when the guy
says that, I'm reading that story. I'm afraid that the
NFL is starting to take the NBA's approach to where
they make non story story. If somebody likes a post
on Instagram, somebody did this, somebody threw shade it, so
and so what did this emoji mean? It just it
was pathetic, man. And what happened this past NBA season

(06:10):
And everybody can talk all they want about Lebron on
the West Coast and Lebron this kiss my ass. The
Golden State Warriors are on the West coast. People were
watching their games the year before. What people were tired of?
They tired of the in the middle of the season.
Where's Kevin Durant going, Where's Kyrie going? Already in the
NFL this year, before the season's even starting, people are

(06:31):
talking about, Hey, y is Tom Brady Dunn after this year? Man?
Look enjoy training camp? Can see the goal in and
let's just calm down, everybody. Don't turn into the NBA
and here's the fake store, the latest story right here. Well,
I just scratched my head. Baker Mayfield is saying, here
we go with the US against the world, and my goodness,

(06:53):
great should everybody wants us to lose? That's that's that's
exact opposite. They have, first of all, two of the
top five selling jerseys in the NFL. OBJ is number
two behind Tom Brady and number five is Baker Mayfield. No,
then you got go to Vegas. Go pick them up
the phone and talk to Vegas and see how much

(07:14):
money has been laid on the Browns. Stop with this whole.
Nobody wants to see us, to see us win. It's
it's exact opposite. There are media people who have lost
their minds. The networks have to The most you could
be on national television is five games per team. They
were on four times. Yeah, there's a team that before

(07:34):
last year had won one game in two seasons. They
were on four times on national television. So all the
build up, all the time, we got it. The roster
is very good Jonas, there's no doubt about it. But
there's a rookie head coach. Is it all gonna come together?
Baker only beat one team over five hundred a year ago.
Now that everybody has a target. Is it the same

(07:55):
as when the Browns came to town last year and
people didn't know what to expect. So so this whole
notion that people want them to lose, they haven't want
anything for people to want them to lose. To do
people want the Warriors to lose? Yes, because they won titles.
You can't be you're hated when you haven't won anything.
I don't get it. What have they want? It's insane?

(08:16):
I love Then. Just a little backstory, So I have
a dear friend of mine and is a Cleveland Browns fan,
not from Cleveland, He's actually from Malibu and he started
liking the Browns because they were the worst team on Madden,
and so he wanted to play with the worst team.
That's how I became a Browns fan. So I've been
to Browns bars with him. I have known a bunch
of Cleveland Browns fans since then. I do a show

(08:38):
with Brady Quinn, a former Cleveland Brown and a Cleveland
Brown fan Girl Quinn have a cup of cop with
that too. You listen. Now, they weren't exactly the most
high functioning organization at that point in time, but the
point is they are starting to become a high functioning team.
And so when I say this, I love what they're doing,
and I love Baker Mayfield. But this is the straw

(08:58):
man argument. This is what has been termed here in
the Fox Sports Radio hallways as the fake argument Guy
by the Great John Ramos, a technical producer here at FSR.
Fake argument guy is the guy who like opens up
a show or an article or sends a tweet in
which he says, I'm seeing a lot of people say this,
and let me tell no, you're not. Nobody said that.

(09:20):
You made that up in your head. So you could
have a counter to an invented thought or opinion that
you didn't see anywhere else. Baker Mayfield's doing fake argument. Guy.
Nobody out there wants to see you lose. If anything,
people want to rally around the Cleveland Browns and see
them do something good. They feel bad for their fans.
It's why people were happy when the Red Sox finally

(09:41):
won a World series. Finally won a World Series. Nobody
is rooting against you. Stop. You're not the heel in
professional wrestling. You're the baby face. Just embrace it and
quit making stuff up. Stop saying that that people don't
want you to win, because it's exact opposite. People are
all on board. They looked at this and they got obj.
I thought it was all over. Why even played a

(10:03):
Super Bowl? Right? I mean, let me tell you something.
It seems I didn't even make the playoffs last year,
and then they got them going to the Super Bowl
rob less than a year ago. They won a game,
and bud Light fridges automatically opened up around the country. Okay,
they were the god let's please hope they win. Let's
please hope they win. People were standing by a winning

(10:24):
free beer out of some like hocus Pocus magic trick
to where these bud Light Fridges opened up. They're not
a disliked team. They're a liked team. People like the
brand new Baker Mayfield approach at quarterback, people like this storyline.
They also like Odell Beckham. And to your point, if
you were so hated, why the hell does so many
people want your jerseys? That doesn't make any sense. Crazy,

(10:46):
And you can't hate a team that hasn't won. I'm
sorry you might. You might be disgusted by their organization
and that they're losers. But but the you're hating them,
they haven't lost, they haven't won. Whereas the Golden State Wars,
it did not turn into the darlings the first time
they won and to the villain, yeah, because they kept
winning and people are I'm so tired of stuff Curry. Oh,

(11:07):
I'm so tired of Clay Thompson. Oh, I'm so tired
they get They're on television, a national TELEVI every night.
Oh my god, Steph Curry is the greatest shooter, the
best backcourt. I mean, you know, over and over and
over to you to acknowledge. Look, the Red Sox are
a very well are a very disliked team now because
they finally won the feuds and the arrogance has come
along with it. The Cubs and a big portion of

(11:31):
their fan base are very unlikable because of what happened.
Since they won, you no longer feel bad for him.
At least get something done. Win a super Bowl and
then you can have this this this thought. But to
just invent something to get hyped up about, I just
I don't understand how you need that. I don't understand
as a player that you have to come up with
something to make you feel like you have to play

(11:53):
for something. Shouldn't it just be that we have a
talented roster. I'm a guy who's overcome all kinds of
thing walk on at Texas Tech right and went on
to win the Heisman when went on to be the
first overall pick. I mean give him credit. Yeah, I
mean he's at an unbelievable ride so far. Okay, the
Browns were terrible. They won seven games last year. And

(12:16):
if he were to come out and say, dude, I
love this roster. We got a good young team or
first year coach, this is exciting to be a part
of something that I think we could build. I would
love that that. That's good. If anything, people felt bad
for the Browns. You gotta we talk about Okay, when
when franchises leave cities or when they depart. Okay, when
the Browns left Cleveland, that was an ugly split because

(12:41):
they were devastated. That is a legitimate football town. They
love the Browns. They were all about the Cleveland Browns.
And not only did their team leave, but they went
and then won a Super Bowl. So you're Browns go,
oh my god, like that was our teams. Yeah, yeah,
you had your heartbroken. And two weeks later, she's already pregnant, thinking,
what the hell happened? We can't we just broke up?

(13:02):
Have this way. There's not even mad uped in my mind.
I could barely get a kiss. What happened here? I
don't understand. And the Browns are looking around and and
they're they're terrible, and they're dysfunctional on all of that stuff.
But they finally start to figure it out, and they
finally start to become fun, and they finally, you know,
hire a general manager who knows what he's doing, and
they've got players with personality. They're not a disliked team.

(13:25):
You're only disliked after you've done something and accomplished something
that somebody else can't do, and the Browns aren't there yet.
They're one of those teams like the Lions, who you
know you won't find many people say, Oh, I hate
that team because they're more harmless than anything else, because
you've never seen them be good, right the kitty Cats?
How could you hate the Lions? Your team always has
a good chicks. Yes, that's what I'm saying. Like, if

(13:46):
you do, I mean, if you're if you're the Bears,
if you're the Vikings, if you're the Packers, in essence
you I think you get three bi weeks a year
with the Lions, right, and I could see if you
like you hate the Packers because they went a lot, right,
I mean, and you've always been respectful of the Lions
and end their quarterback again, what's that path? Yeah, okay,
we've already seen that act. All right? Here we go.

(14:08):
Is Baker Mayfield making stuff up in his head? What
he says that people want to see the Browns lose.
We will continue that conversation. We want you to join
in eight seven seven nine, nine, six sixty three sixty
nine or eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. Will
do that it is Jonas Knox in for Chris Bussart
on The Odd Cup, I'm Rob Parker on Fox Sports

(14:30):
Radio and Alex you know what stick they can stay
in America. Be sure to catch live editions of The
Odd Couple with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at
seven pm Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
and the iHeartRadio app. Farmers Insurance knows the difference between
a car hitting your bumper and a clown car hitting

(14:52):
your bark. That because at Farmers we've seen him covered it.
We are Farmers. Wten my Farmers Truck Fire Insurance exchange
than affiliates products unavailable in every state. Oh yeah, Worship
Wednesday on The Odd Couple, Fox Sports Radio, Jonas knocks
in for Chris Buszar Rob Parker. Car shopping can be

(15:12):
confusing with terms like dealer, price, list, price, and invoice.
True Car shows you what other people pay for the
car you want, so you can recognize a good price
when you're ready to buy a new or used car.
Visit True Car to enjoy a more confident car buying experience. Yes,

(15:33):
Baker Mayfiel's at it again making up stuff. I guess
people are down on the Browns, I guess saying that
they want the Browns to lose. At least that's what
Baker Mayfields saying. Jonas and I are not buying it,
not one bit. Yeah. Look, man, if somebody dislikes you
or they really want to root against you, that's cool
to talk about. But if you're just making stuff up,
I mean, I don't know if he's like trying to

(15:55):
get himself hyped or the team hyped, or show that
I'm the guy and you know, I won't stand for this,
and we're gonna rage against the negativity of the Cleveland Browns.
There is no negativity. It's it's in anything. It's all positive.
Were they're happy to see the Browns. Fans finally have
a team they can root for, no doubt about it.
And the teams that people hate Yankees, Duke, you know,

(16:16):
teams that win, right, yeah, Warriors when the Lakers were rolling,
those are the teams, uh, when Cleveland was rolling right well,
brought those are the teams that you hate because they
went all the time, all right, age seven seven ninety
nine on Fox, We're ready for you to chime in.
What about Max and Georgia you're on the odd couple
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Max? Rob? What's up? My guy?

(16:38):
How you doing? What's up? Max? Hey, guys, I just
want to say I don't think Baker Mayfield's head has
been right since he got rattled by that form tackle
Arkansas cop a few years ago. I think his heads
been off a swivel since then. And I love that.
I love that cop because he tackled him with a
donut and a cup of cafe. Hell of a tackle

(17:01):
that was pregetic that you get tackled by. That's easily
easily the worst joke you've told in the last fifteen horrible,
horrible dude A show with Dave Coolier, oh Man, go ahead, back, Well,
I was gonna say, the only guy I can think
of whoever had to hype himself up occasionally is Michael Jordans.

(17:23):
But I think it was out of boredom. I think
it was out of winning championships and having to challenge
himself in ways that he couldn't create but himself. Am
I right? I mean I don't. But see here's the problem.
Maybe he did it, but we didn't know enough about it.
I was gonna say, right, yeah, I don't know that
there was you know that he went out to make
this sub statement win some games people want to see

(17:45):
us lose. I just I'm just stunned by that. Really,
like all the money that's poured into Vegas, you think
that's that that they're betting for them to lose or
to win. This is they're the most I don't want
to treat most, but one of the top two or
three most interesting teas in the NFL heading into the season,
and people are really really fired up about the club.

(18:07):
The Cleveland Brown good until the season three. Jason and Virginia,
you're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up?
Jason chernas Uh, Happy Worship Wednesday to you both, no doubt. Jason, Hey, guys,
let me reiterate your point with the real life example
if you if I, if I could here, let's do it. So.

(18:29):
I'm heavily involved in sportsman reabilion, Okay. And one of
the things that the people that are that do this,
when they've made it, they've collected what we call the
all thirty two. So they've collected a piece of me rebelion,
whether it be an autographic telement at autograph Jersey from
all thirty two teams before this year. If you were

(18:51):
talking Browns, we get to the Browns, what am I
going to collect? You do what I want? You got
the great Jim Brown and then some people, if you
want to be different, maybe at Joe Tom Yeah, okay.
Other than that, there's nobody collectible. First of all, excuse you, sir,
I think you're forgetting about Brady Quinn. Oh yeah, I'll
excuse you. Either that, Either that or or Bernie Kozar's flask.
You can you can collect that. I'm an inter dame fan,

(19:14):
so I've got plenty of Quinn in my correct collection.
So um, but back to back to the point I'm
trying to make now as collectors, and there's a lot
of us. We just had the Nashville in Chicago. I
mean there was hundreds of thousands of people there. We
are rooting for the Browns. We want Mayfield to succeed,
We want ob j to succeed as a Brown, we

(19:34):
want Nick Chuck to succeed, and to an extent, we
want Cream Hunt to succeed as a Cleveland Brown. So
I think that Baker's comments are off. I don't think
people are rooting against them. In fact, I think more
people that are casual fans and just fans of other teams,
as long as they're not playing the team that they
route for, are gonna cheer for the Browns, no doubt
about it. Jason, I agree, And especially if they get

(19:55):
off to a good start and people think like maybe
something is happening for a change. Do you think anybody
when the Clippers got Kawhi Leonard and Paul George was
anybody pissed off other than Laker fans, right, maybe raptor
fans who are unrealistic. No, because everyone said, oh, finally
the Clippers got something they do for that after all
these bad years, all those bad draft picks, Right, somebody

(20:16):
picked the Clippers and said, you know what, we like this,
We're gonna we're gonna make this work. Yeah, it was
great squad in sports, it's real, it's crazy, it's it's
and look at the two franchises that that that hit
the pay dirt, Brooklyn Nets, who have been the stepchild
to the Knicks no matter how bad the Knicks have been,
and the Clippers the stepchild to the Laker. I mean

(20:37):
that that's what sports is all about. I'm one hundred
percent with you. How about Alan and Maine. You're on
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up? Alan's up?
What's up? I gotta lie, I gotta disagree with both
of you. I think Baker Mayfield's doing it. That's the
exact correct way to get people fired up. What I mean, Yeah,

(20:57):
what's he gonna do. He's gonna he's gonna go up
and take the nerds stance and say, guys, were pretty good,
We're gonna go out there, We're gonna give it our
best effort every single week. No, that's not who he is.
You got everybody understands why he's doing it. It is
to get the fan base fired up. The guys shot
gun in beers. It's all Eveland Indians games. It's not

(21:18):
who he is. It is going to be an US
against the world mentality because he because they haven't done
it all. Ye that Alan, But the narrative is false.
It's a false narrative. Alan, who hates the Browns. Every
one jot, nobody hates him. Nobody hates the brown Stop it.
But the narrative was I mean, the narrative, it's the
same thing. It's just the same thing. Over and over again.

(21:40):
Whether you win or you lose, everybody counts everybody else
out and it's gonna be the dust against the world mentality. Right,
you don't have any camaraderie, Alan, keep that in your
locker room with your teammates. Look, if you need, if
you need sources to fire you up, and you're inventing
things to get excited about with the season approaching, and
you've got Odell Beckham that you can throw to now,

(22:01):
then you just clearly have an issue with not getting
fired up enough. Right, you should be fired off. Yeah,
you don't need to make up stuff to Complex dot
com about everybody wants to see you lose. What the
hell are you talking about, man, it's a complete opposite.
That doesn't make sense. Let's quick get sneaking. One more
phone called Marty in Kentucky. Marty, you're on the on
couple of Fox Sports Radio. How you doing. I'm doing good.

(22:22):
I'm glad that Jonas is there. He's got the best
chemistry with you, guy with you for all the substitutes.
And i gotta say I'm feeling a little queasy after
Allen's Paul watching a Baker Mayfield. That dude is a clown.
He's a plan like a Tony o'brown. Why everybody, everybody's
gonna know time he's gonna have drama with Beckham. That's

(22:45):
all gonna blow up. Everybody's cheering for them. I'm a
Steelers saying, I know everybody. Everybody that don't like the steal,
just telling me the Brows that's going to if they've
already given them the division, they're going to the AFC
Championship game. They're gonna be in this super Bowl. I
don't see anybody hating on the Browns. I think it's
been the other way, over the top in support over
the parting. Yeah, he's trying to create a file narrative,

(23:08):
no doubt. Thanks Marty, we appreciate you. So many people
are are after the villain, Freddie Kitchens. Freddy the villain
Freddie Kitchens. Nobody wants to see Freddie Kitchens do well.
Everybody hates him. Can be breakman, then none of it
makes sense. Nobody knows who Freddie Kitchens joint. Stop it right?
All right? A three times Super Bowl champion has some
words of wisdom for Baker Mayfield, and they're coming your

(23:30):
way next. Be sure to catch live editions of The
Odd Couple with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker weekdays at
seven pm Eastern, four pm Pacific. All right, appreciate it.
It is the Odd Couple of Fox Sports Radio coming
to you live from the Geico Fox Sports Radio studios.
It's easy to say fifteen percent of more in cornshurts
with Geico, So go to Geico dot com or call

(23:51):
eight hundred and nine four seven auto. The only hard
part is figuring out which way is easier. All right,
Now it's time to welcome in one of our favorite guests.
Mark Schlereth is joining us, a three times Super Bowl champion,
and of course Fox Sports NFL analysts, our friend of ours.
It's Rob Parker and Jonas Knox in for christ Bazary.

(24:13):
What's up Mark? What's up state? What's going on? Fellas?
That were you guys? Mark doing great? Hey, let's just
jump in on this. Baker Mayfield US against the world
kind of false narrative. He's throwing out everything I've seen.
Mark is. People are all in on the Browns. They
look at the roster, they got some studs, they got
some star players. Baker Mayfield won seven game four a

(24:37):
team that only had only won one game in the
previous two What is he talking about? They're on national
TV four times this year. Are people against the Browns
or people with the Browns? Well, I think there's a
lot of people that have high expectations for the Cleveland
Browns because you know, there's so much talent. And I
called the game of Cleveland last year, Cleveland against her

(25:00):
a line in Cleveland, and they're one of the most
talented teams I covered last year and they had, you know,
more talent come onto their roster. So there's they're one
of the On paper, they're one of the most talented
teams in football. There's no question about that. So for me,
you know, the talent part is there, um, But you know,
talent on a roster and on paper doesn't necessarily to

(25:22):
quate two wins on the football field. And I always
say this, you know, had uh, you know, if the
games were played on paper, then I'd spend a lot
less time on the operating table. But they're not played
on paper, right, They're played on a football field. And
the issue that you get into. And I saw his
quote today and I think it was something and I'm
paraphrasing but it was something like people who want to
start rooting against it because the hype is real. I

(25:45):
don't know if you've looked at the definition of hype,
but hype is an exaggeration, right, I mean hype, it's hyperbole, right,
It's not real, it's fake. So, yeah, there's a ton
of talent. Yeah, they've got great, some great players on
both sides of the all. But here's what I know
about talent, and when I know, it wins games. You know,

(26:05):
Joe Gibbs used to say to us all the time
when I played for the Redskins, I cut my teeth
under Joe gives for the Washington Redskins, and he said
this all the time. It was one of his monsters,
one of his go to things. He said, Hey, great
talent makes plays in the first three quarters. Great character
men win games in the fourth quarter. And I'm telling
you what character drives talent towards greatness. Talent never drives character.

(26:28):
It just doesn't. And you can look around this league,
whether it's Odell Beckham Junior, whether it's Antonio Brown. You
put a host of guys in there that are just
uber talented, exceptionally talented, and they make a lot of
decisions that are based on what's good for them, not
what's good for their teams. So, until this team starts
winning football games, I don't care how much talent they have.

(26:49):
That's what it comes down to for me. They've got
to play together as a football team. And ultimately, you
have to sacrifice, be willing to sacrifice for the guys,
be willing to be willing to do to do more
and get less so that your team can win. You know,
so many guys worry about like will they co exist?
Will Landry and Odell Beckham Junior co exists? When one

(27:11):
guy gets ten targets the other guy gets three, or well,
all of a sudden, there'll be a you know, it'll
be a fight on the sideline because somebody's not getting
enough targets. I'm just telling you. Until they play together
and until they show me that they can be mature
enough to have a team winning concept, I'll bet the
Steelers win that division. He is Mark Schlaire, three time
Super Bowl champion Fox Sports NFL analysts joining us here

(27:34):
on Fox Sports Radio, Jonas Knox, Rob Parker, the odd
Couple here on FSR in for Chris Bruzarry Mark, what
was the earliest, either in training camp, the preseason, or
a regular season that you knew you were on a
bad team? M oh pro. I mean, I think you
have a wait a minute, Mark, you never played for
the Lions. Awesome. You know, like you know when you're

(28:02):
ere rebuilding and you don't have a lot of offensive
talent or defensive talent, when you know when you're kind
of outgunned. Um. I always say in nineteen ninety four,
you know I was. I was playing for the Skins
and we went we went in the ninety four season
to take on the Dallas Cowboys. And there's two times
in my life where I was standing pregame, going, man,

(28:24):
we're gonna get our ass kicked today. And one while
I was standing on the sideline in Dallas and the
Dallas Cowboys offense was warming up and I was short
snap at the time, so I was waiting for our
offense to come out before we started running plays. And
it was North Turner's first year, and I believe the

(28:44):
offensive roster was on the outside was Alvin Harper and
Michael Irvin, and then I believe it was Mark two
and a at left tackle, Nate Newton and left guard
Mark stepnowskit center. I believe was Larry Allen at right guard,
Eric Williams at right tackle, Jane over Check at tight end,
Moose Johnson at fullback, Troyman a quarterback, and Emma Smith

(29:07):
at running back. And I'm watching the warm up and
I'm just taking inventory. And then I think to myself,
I played for the Wash your riskins. We don't have
one guy on our team that could start on their
team on their office. And that's when I said to myself,
we're getting our ass kicked today, and they take their ass.
There's no question mark. How about the Cowboys? Obviously they
have the money. Would you would you play around with

(29:30):
Ezekiel Elliott? And and I don't. I don't have a
problem with him holding out because the CBA doesn't work
for running backs. You know, they get to hold onto
you too long, use you up, and then those guys
don't wind up getting paid. But if you're Jerry Jones,
are you gonna play around with this? Are you gonna
go into the season with some easy games early on,
without you know your full squad and have a chance

(29:50):
of maybe losing the game or two. You shouldn't That
could cause you a division and make your wild card
instead of a division winner. What do you do here? Yeah,
you know it's crazy because you mentioned the CVA. And
here's the crazy thing about it, Like the last negotiation,
and this is why I was against the rookie wage scale.
This is why again I was against all this night.

(30:12):
You've got guys negotiating on your behalf before you get
in the league. They don't care about you, They care
about themselves. I mean, it was it was an absolute
debacle to think about the fifth year option for the
running back. Yes, your whole shelf life as an NFL
running You're lucky. You never Yeah, you never get into it.
You never get into a second contract. So I don't

(30:34):
I don't begrudge him at all. I mean, you know,
for for holding out, and I totally understand kind of
the process of what he's going through and understanding that
he has such a short shelf life. You know, I
hate the public negotiation part though. You know, there was
a there was a rumor out there that Dak Prescott
turned down thirty million dollars a year. Yeah, who leaks that?

(30:57):
You know, the Cowboys leaked that, right, because it makes
the player look like a moron, player look greedy. But
the bottom line is what the teams do is they
give you a fake monopoly money contract and they backload
the whole damn thing to make it thirty million dollars
a year. You get no upfront money. I mean, it's
it's a farce. And then the last rumor was he
was acting for forty million. His camp isn't bringing that

(31:19):
information out, so you'll basically be smirching your quarterback out
there in public or somebody within your organization is. I
just don't like the way that that negotiation is going
for either of those guys right now. But I totally
understand the Cowboys point of view and not paying Zeke Elliott.
You're like, dude, it's yourself life. We've got you for
two more years. We could franchise you as well, Like

(31:41):
you'll never see the light of day, so you can't
you can't expect to get the Todd Girly money. Like
I think everybody looks at that Todd Girly contract and
just kind of rolls their eyes. Now because you're an
MVP candidate up to week twelve, and then all of
a sudden you're basically non existence. And cijing Anderson comes
in there and and you know, rolls for a hundred

(32:01):
yard game every time he rolls out there. So I mean,
I'm just telling you, like he has got he does
not have a strength of negotiation position right now as
a running back in this league. And I think that's sad.
I think that's the collective bargaining agreement. The next one,
the collective bargain agreement that comes up, it has got
to change. It was just so stupid to agree to

(32:24):
the rookie wage scale and agree to the fifth year
option and all the things they did to these rookies
that really just screwed them. Mark Slaith with us here
on Fox Sports Radio, stink last one for me quickly,
because I don't know why I'm fascinated by this, but
I am. You're from Alaska. You were in Alaska recently.
What is the team of choice in the NFL in
Alaska The Seattle Seahawks, and buy a wide margin. Yeah,

(32:48):
they're the closest in proximity obviously, and so they're they're
the one team that most everybody follows up in Alaska.
I grew up there. You had the Steelers play in
the morning and the Cowboys playing the afternoon, so I
got to watch the Steelers game and then we'd go
to church, and I never watched the Cowboys, so I
became a Steelers fan. Obviously they were winning too that
you know, that was always cool. Um. But then when

(33:10):
the Seahawks came into existence, I think in nineteen, I
want to say seventy six, pretty much Alaska adopted the
Seattle Seahawks. So that's everybody's team of choice. Yeah, because
Rob Parker was saying that Major League Baseball is more
popular in Alaska than stop and hey, hey, you're crazy.
Don't talk to Mark. Mark loves baseball. His son major

(33:31):
League baseball pitcher. He loves the game. By the way,
the Alaska League, back in the seventies, the Alaska League
was one of the premier summer leagues in all of baseball.
Guys like Winfield played up in Alaska. It used to
be it used to be look it up, man, it
was the cat's pajamas back in the day. And then
of course, uh, the league out there, that Cape Cod

(33:52):
League kind of took over that and the Alaska we
kind of dissipated some. But it used to be the
premier league in the summertime. All these college h these
college baseball players. He is the pride of Alaska. He's
also a Fox Sports NFL analyst and a three time
Super Bowl champion. Mark Schlaret, Mark, thanks man, good stuff.
My playsure guys do well? All right? A former Laker

(34:15):
is ready to uh stick it to Lebron. I'll explain
that next. But it's the Hot couple or Fox Sports Radio.
Jonas Knox and for Christmas saw Rob Parker take a

the news, Rob Park. They are because they got they
got burned. And I know you're I know you're you're
bummed out about this Lebron James and uh and ty

(35:44):
Lou now Uh, according to reports, is going to be
the top assistant for Doc Rivers and the La Clippers,
this after they couldn't come to terms on a deal
to become the head coach of the Lakers. How And
you know what, I love this move by ty Lou,
I really do because it serves a couple of things.
He Hey, he got a little acts to grind because

(36:06):
they short changed him, gave him a bogus contract offer.
Here's the guy who won a championship and he's like,
wait a minute, Luke Walton hadn't made the playoffs with
the Lakers, and he got a five year deal in Sacramento.
I won a championship, I had success with Lebron James,
and you guys don't want to pay me. So now
you know what he doesn't want. And people say, oh,

(36:26):
I wouldn't take an assistance job. I would, dude. At
some point, you gotta get off the beach and get
back am I right yeah, and get back into the game.
After a while, people forget about you, tylu I don't
think he wants to coach anymore, asn't. He hasn't coached
him four years. That's what happened. And didn't the Lakers
make him like a Laker themed birthday cake or something

(36:47):
like that when they're having negotiations to think about that.
That's that's as bad as when the Colts released a
gave out a press release that said they had hired
Josh McDaniels and he never signed a contract. Right, tell
are you doing? I remember one even years ago with
Rolling mass Amino was a coach of Villanova and they
had a big press conference. Everybody waiting at Brendan bern

(37:07):
Arena for the nets. He was going to be the
head of coach after they won the national championship. He
was driving on a ninety five up from Philly turned
a riling whip back. Dave McGinnis. Dave McGinnis was another
guy who I think the Bears are going to hire
as a head coach. And they gave a press release
saying that he had gotten the job, and he never
agreed to the job. He was so annoyed by it

(37:28):
that he ended up not taking the job. It's unbelievable.
The whole thing was it just you liked this move.
I like it because it adds a little bit of intrigue, um,
and it adds a little bit more spice to this
budding rivalry. They're gonna have NLA, but this is a
rival Remember Tylu on paper looked like the right guy.
What former Laker had sex, had success with Lebron. I

(37:52):
got it, I'll get it out right, had success. I
need a cigarette. We're Lebron and and you needed to
get somebody who could work well with Lebron. Instead they
got Frank Vogel. Yeah, and I don't know, it's uh,
the whole thing. And look the fact that Doc Rivers
brought him on. I think doc Rivers knows exactly what

(38:12):
he's doing, um tylu being probably extra motivated to be
there knowing exactly what he did, and the Lakers lowballing
him didn't make it. You know, like that didn't make
any sense to me either. The fact that you had
a guy who wanted the job, could work with Lebron
had was a respected guy around the league, and you
let a couple of million dollars or whatever a couple

(38:33):
extra years after the tract. I mean, I just I
don't understand why the Lakers chose that hill to die
on a negotiations. It's amazing when you think about it,
especially when you have Lebron for his final three years
probably in the NBA. Yeah, you don't want to play
around with that? What are you being cheap about? I
don't understand that really, And and Sacramento has no problem. Hey,

(38:55):
Luke won't let us back up to bring struck for you.
And then he just came off to what we use
them not not making the playoffs right and think it's
a five year deal that makes sense. It's like it's
the uh, it's the NBA, and it's the NBA interworkings
and some of these relationships and guys get so sensitive
and so ben out of shape that they're sooner or

(39:16):
later they're gonna revolt. I mean, like Kyrie back in Boston.
What the hell you think that's gonna be? Like he
was adored a year ago, this time because he wanted
to stick around. But yeah, it'll be fun to watch.
It will be fun to watch much more coming up
as the Odd Couple. Jonas Knox, Rob Parker, Crisp Bussod's

Can I tell you what I did Monday and Tuesday
before we get into the football. What's that? Oh? That

(40:21):
was all weekend man? You know what? Went to Miami? Man,
we went to Tutsie's down there. Wow. And by the way,
you know what you should probably do though, stop bragging
that like a hard night out for you? Is Kamakazi show?
I mean, come on, it's like Ecto cooler splash of Vodkas.
I'm a little moisture right now. There was unbelievable. What
a nightdown Kamakazi shot. I still love comic kaz Come

(40:43):
on now, vodka, triple second, lime juice. Why I would
drinking a lot of champagne too? Was a celebration? Yeah,
champagne message with your voice though? Is that why I'm
anytime I've ever had champagne, my voice is always screwed
up afterwards acidic for me. But it was what a
great time down there? Yeah, Chris and now we had
a good time. Chris was at the party and took
some pictures and saw pictures of me, Chris, a couple

(41:05):
of beautiful young women. Yeah, it was good. I did
see those. Interesting. By the way, this should be this
should be pointed out here. Um it is. I'm gonna
look just guess here low nineties in Sherman Oaks, California. Right,
Sherman Oaks, California, where we do this show from. It

(41:26):
is in the low nineties, probably into the high eighties.
Now at this point we're in the valley. It's hard
nice and um. Rob Parker has got on O two shirts,
a zip up Nike jacket, Nike pants, the thickest pair
of white shoes I've ever seen in my life. They

(41:48):
look like, yeah, you look like an astronaut. And then
you've got socks on underneath that. How's the matter with you?
It's ninety degrees outside? Why are you cold? It's not
ninety degrees in the studio and everybody knows it. Rob
g Alex, I want you guys to chime in and
be honest. Does this feel as good as comfortable as
your room over there on the other side of the glass.

(42:09):
I'm sitting with tank top and shorts on right now. No,
Rob GB Rob G knows over there, you guys have
barbecue sauce on your back. And here I gotta wear
a Parker. Okay, hold on a second, this is uh
BSU do you know what that is? This is backsweat
University in this studio because every time I do a show,

(42:31):
it's like I went backwards down a water slide. See,
this is what I went through in college when your
room with white guys. This is what I This is
the problem I had. First of all, I'm Jamaican. Stop
lying to the audience. Okay, I mean I used to.
I used to get into arguments with my roommates. It's February.
They want the window open. I said, hey, hello, I'm

(42:52):
a black guy. I'm freezing coal. And it'd be like
it's too hot in here. Take your comforter off and
it'll be fine. But I'm not sleeping under an open
window of February. That's the Irish age. That's what it is.
I don't know. Listen in Jaic in Jamaica. You know
we don't feel like that. We can handle the be
cold and hot. We can handle that, all right. So

(43:14):
Rob Parker a smooth transition from lying about our race
to the Indianapolis Colts, who are maybe lying about something else.
So the Indianapolis Colts came out Andrew Lux got this injury.
Um you know the guy who sounds like Andrea the Giant,
And he says that, well, you know, they thought it
was his calf, and then there was this, is it,
you know, anything similar to Kevin Durant, And then it

(43:37):
turns out no, it's a high ankle sprain. High ankle
sprains are difficult to deal with because they linger. You
talked to a lot of people, it's the worst ankle
sprain you can get. Some people who've been said, then
I'd rather break my ankle than deal with a high
ankle sprain. So they're dealing with all that, and people
are talking about when's he gonna be back, is he
gonna be ready for the opener? Is he going to

(43:57):
play any of the preseason. Here's what I would caution
people with, slow down on buying everything the Indianapolis culture selling,
because you remember a year ago there were these reports
that came out that Andrew Luck quote hadn't thrown a
football in like four hundred days. That Andrew Luck, even
when he was playing with kids, would toss the ball underhanded.
He couldn't throw the ball overhanded. And I remember I

(44:20):
bought into it as well too, And then I had
a conversation with Brady Quinn about this and he told me,
he said, hold on, you're not actually believing those reports,
are you, well, why wouldn't I It doesn't do them
any good to make up something that their quarterback can't
throw the football. He said, you mean to tell me
that Andrew Luck, coming off a shoulder surgery, wouldn't have
at least tried to test his arm behind closed doors

(44:42):
with a trainer. At this point, he said, don't believe
that crap, and lo and behold. And it stopped me
dead in my tracks. And I said, you know what,
absolutely spot on, Lo and behold. Andrew Luck gets into
the season and has a fantastic year. There were talks
about and he was tremendous, nine touchdowns, He did a
great he was awesome. And this was a guy who

(45:03):
reportedly hadn't thrown a football in over like four hundred
days or whatever crap number that they gave out to
us publicly. What I'm saying is this, let's just go
ahead and slow down on the doom and gloom when
it comes to Andrew Luck. This very well could be
the Colts exaggerating this like they did a year ago
to try and throw everybody off. If Andrew Luck doesn't
play in the preseason, big deal. He doesn't need the preseason,

(45:26):
much like Jared Goff didn't need the preseason last year
and he was in a super Bowl. Everybody, don't believe
everything that NFL teams try and sell you. That's my
only thing, my only thing here, And I get it.
The Colts track record is horrendous, especially I mean, if
they were adopted, they probably would have had their license
revolt because it's been that bad and mistakes. In this case,

(45:50):
I want to believe that they've had made so many
mistakes on how they've done it in the past, that
they're going to the other way this time Jonas in
that they're trying to take it slow, not rush him back,
take as much time as possible before they put him

(46:10):
back out there. Yeah, and look, I get it. You
want to be you want to be cautious, you know
what I mean because things have been bad and when
they've told people, and you don't want to do it
just for to save face. Put him out there. Well,
he hasn't been practiced and he's only practiced three days
since training camp started. Dude, the guy's been through so
many injuries. Take your time. If there's something that he

(46:31):
doesn't feel comfortable with, don't rush him back. And also
when teams are so willing to give you detailed information,
that's where you just have to understand that it's the
teams that aren't willing to talk about certain injuries that
are the ones that are more worried about it. The
culture out here giving you a diagnosis one week, it's this,
the next day, it's that, the next day it's that.

(46:52):
I don't think it's anything close to being as drastic
as some people are making it out, but you do
want to play it safe. You don't want to get
him re injured because he has had a history of it,
because Ryan Griggs in your former GM was a did
a horrendous job in the draft, and so get him
to the season as healthy as possible and then you
figure it out from there. Now, from that quarterback situation

(47:12):
to another one in the NFL, which is going to
be closely monitored as we head to the season and beyond.
And it is the New York Giants. I don't know
if you heard this, but John Mara has a plan.
His plan is despite what you see when it comes
to the number six picked Daniel Jones, our rookie quarterback
out of Duke, John Mara wants to see something a

(47:33):
little bit different, has a great year in Daniel never
sees the field. I mean, I would be in an
ideal world that you'd like to see that. So but
again it's at the end of the day, it's going
to be a decision by the head coach has to win,
you know, or if Daniel ends up plan this year.
There's literally zero chance that Daniel Jones doesn't start a
game this season for the New York Giants. Zero chance. Zero.

(47:57):
Couldn't disagree with you more. You think, do you think
Daniel Jones is gonna sit the entire year? Yeah? I do.
I think the ELI thing in New York doesn't make
any sense. And so that's why it's hard for people
because ELI has been bad for years. It's not new
right and ELI. When they wanted to city ELI, what
happened They fired Jerry rees dear general manager and who

(48:21):
was the coach, Benn macadoo. Right, they both of them
got whacked. They both got whacked even though they were
trying to make a change and say it was time ELI.
Eli will not be removed that way, He'll get the
benefit because he won two Super Bowls for the Giants.
Not only did he win two MVPs, beat the Patriots twice,

(48:44):
and included the eighteen and old Patriots who were going
for a perfect season. Right, yeah, he will not be
displaced that way. This kid went to the Manning football camp.
He's like a part of the Manning family. That this
is all to massage Elise so that when they do
do it, he feels good about it. I'm telling you,

(49:05):
I do not believe unless unless, like there's some injury
or something like that, that they will use whatever. Remember,
here's his built in excuse. Already. They already had a
couple of receivers get injured, and then Golden Tate is
out for four games. So right, oh, what was he
throwing to? You can't blame him, He didn't have any receivers.

(49:26):
I'm telling you what the story will be. I do
not believe the Giants are going to do that. They're
going to let him go out on his own terms,
and it'll be it might be after the season, Jonas.
Don't get me wrong now, but they're not going to
pull him because he should have been pulled already. Well,
I do have good news for you. You're wrong, but
you're wrong for multiple reasons. Okay, Okay, So here are
the multiple reasons why you're wrong. Have you talked to

(49:49):
me when you proposed to on a plane that one?
I mean the pilot proposed to it. See, that was
probably my mistake. Nothing wrong with that. Sh come on,
you want to play sharing his caring rights. And then
all the women on the play were like, can I
see your ring? You know what? She was going like this,
showing a ring around everybody. And then they gave us

(50:11):
two bottles of champagne as we walked off the flight.
And then and I heard that you got the ring
back and pond it for singles to go to Magic City. True,
I wish I could have gotten it, okay, but now
you are many singles. I would have got whatever thing.
It was a real deal. You're wrong for the four reasons, okay.
The comparison to what happened a couple of years ago
with Ben McAdoo, and that situation is different. The Giants

(50:33):
completely caved under the pressure of the backlash they got.
And here's what actually happened in that scenario. Eli Manning
was told, all right, you can start the game, but
we want to see Geno Smith at halftime, and Eli
Manning turned him down and said, we'll just sit me
the whole game. He could have kept his consecutive and
so they got so much heat and Eli Manning went

(50:54):
was sobbing and crying at the mic that the public
backlash caused Ben mac I could do and the general manager,
who were right to be fired. Here's here's the other thing, Jonahs,
I just want to squeeze this in. There's no way
they made a decision without the owners signing off. Okay,
so the owner came back and did them dirty, because
there's no way that they replaced a two time winning

(51:16):
Super Bowl quarterback with I'll talking to ownership. So with
that being said, do you think that this regime, and
without having the power to do so, was allowed to
draft a quarterback number six overall, if they didn't also
have the power to install that quarterback whenever they're ready
they needed they needed to get a quarterback. I think
that they're on that. But I'm telling you that not
going to dump them. It's a way. It's the way

(51:37):
that it appears, is what I'm trying to tell you.
It's not that he's not going to be replaced. He's not.
I'll bet you right here. Twenty wings and a large
diet coke that he will not be dump by game seven. Okay,
that's all right. Twenty twenty large, twenty large wings, right
and the diet Cokeka, subtract the diet coke and I'll
take an ipa. Okay. And this as you say, you

(51:59):
say at one hundred percent, game seven hundred percent, Daniel
Jones will be the starting quarterback at some point this
year for the Giants. You said game se game but
game seven is my prediction. But you're saying not at
all that Daniel Jones is not going to start them. Okay,
and if an injury happens, that doesn't counties different. Okay,
injury count I'm talking about and put in this Daniel Jones.

(52:19):
It's happening. Man. Look around the look around the NFL,
look in recent years. Yeah, we did. We heard that,
John Mars. John Marr said, I hope Eli Manning uh
plays the entire field. Cool hope in one hand, take
a dump in the other and see which one fills
up first. Eli Manning is going to get benched at

(52:40):
some point this season. That's a fact. Look around the NFL.
We got enough sample size to see this whole let him.
Sit a year behind a veteran quarterback doesn't fly, especially
when you got a GM and a head coach. You know,
if they have another five win season, they might lose
their job. So at least if you're Pat Shermer, you
want to show ownership. Look, I know we were bad again,

(53:01):
but did you see how well this young quarterback played
the last part of the season. I think we're onto
something here, and that's how you keep a job. There's
no Chandanda Jones doesn't get a start there and the
normal circumstances. Yes, I agree, they will not do like
like that because of what they got the last time.
They're gonna let this guy out. This guy's going to
be in the Hall of Fame. I know people don't

(53:23):
want to believe it, but he's gonna be a Hall
of Fame quarterback because he because of what I told you.
He didn't just win. He wasn't just the quarterback on
a great defensive team. He won the MVP in both
of those games and through signature throws to win both
of those Super Bowls. Okay, I want you to sit
repeat after me. Can he repeat this? Yes? All right, boneless,

(53:45):
those are just listen to me. This is important, all right.
You gotta have the bones, boneless boneless mango, hoban narrow
mango with a side of blue cheese, with a side
of blue cheese, and an ipa and an ipa. Right.
The reason I wanted you to do that is because
you're gonna be saying that a few months from now
after gets benched. Yeah, so at least we got some practice.

(54:08):
Is it's seven games? Do I win after seven games?
At any point this season? Rob said? Any point this season?
He says, that is what you bet Rob? Yeah, at
any point this season. Now, I'm saying week seven, week seven,
because Thursday night, if it doesn't happen after week seven,
you still feel the same way. And the Giants to
four and three. Yeah, he's getting benched this year. Dana
Jones is gonna get us. You want to do it

(54:29):
double or nothing. Whef it happens in week seven, you
own forty wings and two I pas. Yeah, No, we're
not doing that. I'm talking about yeah, because he knows that. No,
because if he double, and if it doesn't happen in
week seven, do I get my wings? No? It's just
that he got it so right that he gets double
the doing that. There's no reward for me. What do
I get? I'm believing a multimillionaire haggling over wings. Oh

(54:51):
this is ridiculous, Chris say on Today, Rob Parker, he
is Rob Parker. I'm Jonas Knox in for Chris Mussarry.
This is the Odd Couple here on Fox Sports Radio.
Will Eli get benched at any point this season? Eight
seven seven ninety nine on Fox is the phone number
eight seven seven nine nine six six three six nine.

(55:13):
You either agree with me or you agree with Rob
Parker and you're wrong, all right, So eight seven seven
ninety nine on Fox is the phone number. Up next,
we will hear from you on that and also exactly why,
exactly why a major move will be made at quarterback
for one NFL franchise that's next year on Fox Sports Radio.

(55:33):
Be sure to catch live editions of The Odd Couple
with Chris Broussard and Rob Parker weekdays at seven pm
Eastern four pm Pacific. Farmers Insurance knows the difference between
a car hitting your bumper and a clown car hitting
your barber. That because at Farmers we've seen him covered it.
We are under written my Farmers truck fire insurance exchanges

(55:56):
and affiliates products unavailable every state. It is the odd couple.
Here on Fox Sports Radio, he is Rob Parker. I'm
Jonas Knox in for Chris Brussard here on FSR. Coming
up in ten minutes from now, we are going to
get to the bottom of one of the stranger NFL
storylines heading into this season, so we'll have that for year.

(56:16):
Ten minutes from now on Fox Sports Radio, we've been
talking about so John Mara, the owner of the New
York Giants, came out with some comments in which he
said that his dream scenario, to sum it up, is
Eli Manning starts every game and plays well and Daniel
Jones never sees the field. And Rob, you believe that
Eli Manning is going to play and start every single

(56:37):
game for the Giants based on their loyalty to him,
and I think that is totally incorrect. Daniel Jones will
be the starting quarterback at some point for the Giants
this year. I just don't feel it. I don't see
it distinct. They made over Eli in New York. He's
of all I know, people look at his numbers and
say he's not that good. He's not elite dude. Two

(56:57):
Super Bowl championships were the Patriots and Tom Brady two
MVPs two uh remarkable throws that people who are Giants
fans will always remember the one to Manningham and the
helmet throw their last Super Bowls eight years ago. Doesn't matter.
What do you mean? It doesn't bedn't matter. People will
always remember those. And that's why I'm not feeling this

(57:20):
whole thing. They're not going to put him out on
the street. They're going to let him play it through
because he's been bad. He should have been bets three
years ago, and all of a sudden, now now that
all of a sudden going to uh turn around and say,
oh yeah, now we gotta get rid of him. I'm
not buying it. Michael's in Florida listening here on Fox
Sports Radium might go, what's happening? All right? Well, at
first I was going to agree with Jonas because you know,

(57:42):
straight damn straight, But not only did Rob Parker put
ten wings on it, he put twenty and Rob Parker
hustles wings. Yes, you know it might go with Parker.
When is the last time you see me lose a wings? Bet?
I don't lose wings, Betsy. He's not gonna bet if
he has to lose wings on it. So we all know, Michael, Michael,

(58:04):
let me go ahead and take you back in time.
We go all the way back to last year, the
start of the NFL season. Rob Parker and I had
a wing bet. The bet was on his first pass
in the NFL, Sam Darnold's gonna throw a touchdown and
he did to the pick six that was right. So
he lost that one. He never paid me. I keep
begging him, let's go meet up for wings, and he

(58:25):
won't meet up without no. Michael, Michael, you don't believe that. Now,
Jonas come clean. How many times do I try to
take you off away? Now you haven't. I texted him,
I said, hey, Thursday night works for me, and it's
a buy one, get one across the street and Rob
and Rob goes who this tells that I got a

(58:45):
new phone? Who is Yeah? So but listen, Michael, look,
I understand the thought behind it. Rob's very passionate about
his wings, um, but I'm very passionate about quarterback controversies.
And I'm telling you they got one in New York
and Daniel Jones is going to be your start. Thanks
for the call, Michael, appreciate it. Kevin is in Phoenix
listening here on Fox Sport Radio. Kevin, what's happening? How's
it going? That doing good? On? Hey? I got a

(59:07):
lot to say about this. He's Giants fan. First off,
I think that Rob, you're wrong. I don't know when
the buye weekends, but I think Daniel Jones will eventually start.
I'm seeing like a week fourteen, week fifteen kind of
scenario when they're at of contention. Um. But regarding you know,
Jerry Reese and Ben mcadude, they weren't fired over the
Eli Manning debacle. It certainly didn't help, but you know,

(59:31):
Jerry Reese hadn't drafted well in years. You know, Jerry
Reich was also the general manager that helped you win
two Super Bowls. Come one. That was Ernie A. Corsey
and it was arguably his second team as well. You know,
he had JPP who he hit on, but that was
about it, you know, So what are you talking about?
Jerry Reach wasn't he wasn't the general manager. What do
you mean? So he wasn't gym But Jernie of Coursey

(59:52):
was the first one and it was still arguably his lineup,
his team that won the second one. I don't want
to hear that. Come on, he was a Kevin Kevin.
You think that them benching Eli Manning wasn't the reason
why Ben McAdoo got that that they went to the
playoffs the year before. When's the last time a coach
got a team to the playoffs a year before and

(01:00:13):
I got canned mid season the next year? Of course
it was. It was all the backlash, and it's the
second time. It's the second time that Giants ownership has
caved to public pressure. You know. The other time was
John Mara or one of the marits had a quote
out that said he never got more negative feedback and
threats that they were going to give up season tickets
from season ticket holders than when people reached out to

(01:00:36):
him and said you better not sign Colin Catholic. And
I remember John Mera was so intimidated they were going
to lose season tickets. I thought to myself, hold on
a second, there's like a twenty year waiting list for
Giant season tickets. I would have told those people to
take a walk. I'll sign whoever I want to sign.
It's my team. And you'll be begging to come back.
Can I tell you what I've never seen in my life?

(01:00:57):
And it's the same with one of those those frauds
in Oakland who said we don't need the Raiders anymore. Sure,
you don't guess what, even on a one year deal,
they came crawling back to the Raiders to welcome them
back to their baseball field. That overflows, no doubt about it.
The one thing I've never seen in my life was
a commercial on television on newspaper I ad for Giant
season tickets. They're so in demand, they're the team of

(01:01:19):
the city. JT is in Seattle listening here on Fox
Sport Radio. JT, what's happening, Hey, what's going on? What's
going on? Gentlemen? What's happening? Hey? You know what, I
don't think they're gonna bench him. Eli is my main
man thinking thing to the and brought us to Super
Bowls and stop history for the Patriots by stopping that

(01:01:40):
perfect season. I think they just gonna let him ride
off into the sunset. Why bench him? I don't get it.
You know, I'm with you. J means he's doing bad
and the season might be lost. So I don't see
the point that just let him ride off into the sunset.
You know he deserves that and that'll be the end
of ELI at that point. But bitch them in the middle.

(01:02:01):
I would be I would be upset of states did it? Yeah,
he's a j's like a lot of giants friends telling you, Yeah,
they hold dearly to e lot. Thanks for the car.
It's unbelievable. I didn't know that you were Steven Seagal,
Rob Parkers. Yeah. You ever seen Hard to Kill? That
movie Hard Tocuss, Yeah, where he's in a coma for
eight years and he wakes up. Yeah, apparently you've been
a coma for eight years because you keep going back

(01:02:22):
to him them winning a super Bowl in twenty eleven. Hey,
are you talking about? Are you kidding me? Over? Do
you think he ever has to buy a drink in
New York? Nothing? And that was eight years. People don't
care about that. They'll always remember that they can live
and feel and live and die knowing nit team won
a championship. So people care about he is Steven Seagal,

(01:02:42):
I mean he is Rob Parker. I'm Jonas Knox in
for Chris Brussard here on Fox Sports Radio. We are
coming to alive from the Geico Fox Sports Radio studios.
U only takes fifteen minutes to see if you could
say fifteen percent or more on car insurance. Go to
Geico dot com and see how much you could save up. Next,
we will get to the bottom of one of the
more bizarre storylines in the NFL offseason. That's next here.

(01:03:05):
Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in
the nation. Catch all of our shows at Fox Sports
Radio dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR
to listen live. He is Rob Parker. I'm Jonas Knox.
This is the odd couple here on Fox Sports Radio.
Coming up in a little over twelve minutes from now
here on FSR, one of the most graphics stories in

(01:03:27):
recent NFL history, Right, so, coming up twelve minutes from now,
we'll get to that here all right now though. He
is Terres Paler, Yahoo Sports senior NFL writer, also the
host of the Yahoo Sports NFL podcast, joining us here
on Fox Sports Radio. Terres, thanks so much for the time.
We appreciate it. Yeah, what's going on, guys, Thanks for
having me on. Yeah, and now you were at colts camp.

(01:03:48):
There's all this stuff about Andrew Luck and it was
a calf and now it was a high ankle sprain.
Is his leg to chats? What's going on? Well, yeah,
what's happening. Here's what's the bottom line with Andrew Luck? Well, look,
the bottom line is that it's a fluid situation. Okay.
When I spoke to Chris Ballad, the coach GM, this weekend,
I asked him directly, I'm like, hey, is this an

(01:04:09):
achilles issue? Is it just the where? Is this just
a calf? And he said, based on what we know
right now, it's just a calf. Right. So then it
comes out the owner on Monday night starts saying this
a little bone issue. I'm like, hey, this isn't what
I knew. And it turns out that's recent information they
just got that day. And guess what, I believe Chris Ballert.

(01:04:32):
I go back with him to my time in Kansas
City when he was there covering the chiefs and he
was the assistant GM. He has a great reputation as
far as his pension for honesty and just not telling lies.
So I choose to believe him on that and also
believe when he says that he doesn't know if Andrew
Luck could be ready for Week one. So if that

(01:04:54):
is the case, and you're listening because you're curious about
fantasy purchases purposes, you know, yeah, you wouldn't be careful
about Andrew Luck. I feel like we've seen this before
with him to a certain degree. You know, they've kept
pushing back timelines for him. The good news if you're
a coach fan, is that his backup, Jacobe Brisset's gonna
be better than he was in twenty seventeen, the last

(01:05:15):
time this happened. The better offensive line, the better overall
coaching staff. He's worked hard on his mechanics to improve
his accuracy, and his teammates like him, so he's going
to be a better player for them. But this obviously
changes their ceiling. With Luck, They're continue to get to
the a FC Championship game. Without them, I mean, they're
probably looking at you know, five hundred or something around them.

(01:05:37):
What about the we were just talking before you came
on about the Eli Manning and Daniel Jones and what's
going to happen in New York. Do you believe that Eli,
I mean, barring an injury, I believe he's gonna play
out the season that the Giants won't just yank him
during the year because of the Super Bowl wins and
the affinity that the fans haff for ELI in New York.

(01:05:58):
What do you think, do you think Daniel Joe will
see the field or not. Yeah, there's a lot of
there's a lot of reasons to think that they'd like
to keep him in there. Um. I think that's real.
He is beloved there inside the building. He is absolutely
treasured and beloved, you know, and if this is it
for Eli, they'd like to see him kind of go
out with them being the guy. So I actually do

(01:06:19):
think Jones in the plane a little bit this year.
You know that they'll look to get the rookie some snaps,
just like the Chiefs did a couple of years ago
with Patrick Mahomes when he was the backup as a
rookie to Alex Smith. But I do think they want
Eli to finish it out, and you know, as long
as they're like respectable right now, I think they I
think they'll push that off as long as they can.
He is Terres Payler joining us here on Fox Sports Radio.

(01:06:42):
Yahoo Sports senior NFL writer, also the host of the
Yahoo Sports NFL podcast. You can get him on Twitter
at terres Paylor. I want to quickly go back to
you being at Colts Camp Quentin Nelson up close and personal.
What was that like? Oh, he's fantastic. He's going to
be even better too. This is a big dead man,

(01:07:02):
like you know, he's only you know, twenty four or whatever.
But to see a lineman you know, with like a
V shape, like he's a cut, like just a bodybuilder,
it's weird. Um, And like technically he's gonna be better.
He's being coached by a legend now and Howard mud
on the offensive mining Um, yeah, look, he's gonna be

(01:07:24):
even better. He was all pros a rookie. I think
he's got a chance to be a generational guard like
a Allen Fanaka and Steve Hutchinson performed. How about in Dallas?
Who has more leverage? Uh? I think uh Ezekiel Elliott
does because they need the running game. Uh, Dak Prescott
seems to play better the status bear it out when

(01:07:45):
he has a running game to go along and it's
not just him trying to throw the ball forty times.
Do you think that the Cowboys eventually going to uh cave?
And give the U Ezekiel Elliot a new contract before
the season. I don't know. I think I think the
tricky thing is that there's no doubt that Zeke is
like the more important player for them. Uh He's a start,

(01:08:08):
the straw that stirs the drink. But he's got two
years left on his deal. You know, Dak's coming up
basically in a year, um, and what they're gonna They're
gonna trade them or something. They're gonna find another quarterback,
Like what are they gonna do? Like Jerry Jones is
trying to win the Super Bowl before he did and
he and he knows, you know that this is you know,

(01:08:28):
it's been a while. It's hard to find a quarterback,
you know. So I just I don't know what the
alternative is for those guys. You know. I think they're
just gonna have to pay you know, Zeke, and that
frees him up to kind of deal with a Mari
as that comes um, and you know, you deal with
Zeke as that comes to. It just depends up on
how serious he is about sitting out. And you know,

(01:08:50):
just from a contractual standpoint, like Dak is the one
and Amari theoretically are the ones with the most leverage
because they're the ones coming up in a year not
too Dress Taylor with us year on Fox Sports Radio,
Jonas Knox, Rob Parker in for Chris Brussard here on FSR,
Tres last one for me, the Raiders on Hard Knocks look.
John Gruden to me feels like he's been built up

(01:09:12):
as the star and I think that there was a
two part higher with John Gruden. One was to hopefully
win some games, and two to definitely draw some headlines
and bring the buzz back to the organization. What do
you make of John Gruden so far in Oakland and
on Hard Knocks? I think he nailed it. I think
I think Gruden like knew it too, because he's given
a few monologues that have been pretty TV worthy, you

(01:09:35):
know what I mean. You know, I'm in the nightmares,
Like I wonder how long he was thinking about that one. No,
h you know the s he had a couple of
last night, they were pretty good too, that get quite remember.
I'm enjoying that part of it. Um. I thought this
episode was a lot better than the first one, Like
I didn't need to see those guys on horses with

(01:09:56):
Old Town road playing like I didn't need that. But
the Raiders all right, interesting franchise. Um, they're one of
the least best franchises. The league is better when they're good. Um.
I hope they continue to kind of dive into this
franchise and show us some interesting stuff, you know. Um,
it's an interesting team with a lot going on, including
Antonio Brown. I hope that takes a I hope that

(01:10:18):
takes a big role next week too, and maybe John
Goon could start winning some games because it wasn't for
all the other stuff. Man, I'm telling you, I mean John,
God bless him. Man, I wouldn't even be able to
go to sleep at night knowing I'm builting a team
out of one hundred million dollars. Yeah, Like, listen, man,

(01:10:39):
you secure it that bag though, didn't he take? Ye?
Here's a thing. Here's a thing though, man, I mean, Rob,
if you had a ten year contract, I don't know
if that pressure will be on you, you know what
I mean? No, I get it. The rest of us,
the rest of us we gotta ground, you know. But
grew got that ten year deal. You know you can't
tell me it right right? That's guaranteed money. Rob, you

(01:11:00):
worked on a contract before you, right, you kind of
you kind of can't hate the hustle, to be honest, man,
that's a hustle boy. Good to get that kind of
money without having to put lead in somebody's back as amazing.
I mean, it's but here's here's I mean, here's the thing.
Rob says, all this, this is his first day back
from vacation in like three months. Stop. Stop. Celebrities really

(01:11:26):
changed him. Stop. Uh. He is a Terres Paler Yahoo
Sports Senior NFL writer also the host of the Yahoo
Sports NFL podcast, and make sure you check out his
training camp tour on Yahoo as he goes around the
NFL taking an inside look at each and every team.
Is a Garrett for the season and you can find
him on Twitter at Terres Paler Terres, thanks so much
man for the time. Man. Appreciate having you on. Yeah,

(01:11:49):
thanks for having me. All fellas appreciate it. Uh. Rob

accelerator pedal because at Farmers we've seen and covered it.
Were under written my Farmers truck fire insurance exchanges that
affiliates products unavailable in every state. It is the odd
couple here on Fox Sports Radio. He is Rob Parker.

(01:13:15):
I'm Jonas Knox in for Chris Brussard here on FSR.
Coming up here in just a moment, the most graphic
NFL story in a long, long time here on Fox
Sports Radio. We need to give Rob Parker a minute.
Um uh, he's you know, got to catch his breath.
He basically just made love to cheesecake during that what

(01:13:36):
talked about your your obsession with cheesecake. I haven't a pizza.
I haven't had a pizza about four months. Oh you
did it. I mean it's but oh it's so good
you know that cheese. No, man, I just said you
sounded like Rex Ryan talking about feet just a bottle. Yeah,
very very All I've said was after I have a
really good pizza of vanilla bean cheesecake, you know, I

(01:13:58):
need a cigarette and some clean egg. He passed out.
That's it, and he passed out for ever. It's it's
just you four. Yeah, it really is that. Come on,
you like cheese? K Yeah, I know That's why I'm
gonna go ahead and move a little bit from Yeah,
just go ahead and uh, steer clear of of work,

(01:14:19):
all right. Uh from that sort of graphic to this
sort of graphic here on Fox Sports Radio. How about
Antonio Brown talking about the bottom of his disgusting feet.
Look like you're walking a little funny. Yeah, my feet
is pretty much getting circumcised, right all right? Yeah like
circulation yeah no, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah yeah yeah

(01:14:41):
yeah yeah exactly, yes, kind of like a pullback, right.
I get a feeling that whoever that guy was, if
that was his trainer or an assistant for HBO on
Hard Knocks last night, didn't maybe understand what a circumcision was.
That that's the impression I got there, Yes, because he
just can we play that aga? Here's the Antonio Brown
talking about his feet. Look like you're walking a little funny, Yeah,

(01:15:04):
my feet is pretty much getting circumcised, right all right?
Yeah for real circulation? Yeah no, yeah, yeah yeah. Maybe
means that he needs to get the stuff caught. Yeah yeah,
that what that means? Yeah, okay, good, Just don't take
too much off. That's what you know when you're getting circumcised.
I guess now we know the guy who was talking
to it was probably European, you know, not really familiar

(01:15:27):
with that that process. Yeah, it just doesn't. But nonetheless, uh,
Antonio Brown and his feet, and people were wondering why
there wasn't more of Antonio Brown. You know, they talked
about it a little bit, but why wasn't there more that.
All I've heard was that Hard Knocks wasn't that impressive? Well, no,
I wasn't. I liked it. But again, I'm I'm a
bad judge because I like every NFL slash football documentary.

(01:15:51):
I love them all. Yeah, I love him just because
it brings up memories of playing football and all that,
and I just you kind of get the itch again
and really, yeah, I love it. Yeah, you would play
football if you could play in like a men's league
or something. Oh no, hell no, you had out of
your mind. Come on, give me a break, no please. Oh.
After I dislocated my kneecap, I was pretty good. Well

(01:16:13):
we're good. Here could you see bone? Yeah, there was
a canyon on my knee, the kneecap. The kneecap was
next to my calf. Yeah, I was disgusting. Yeah, you
don't rex you lick feet? Okay, you're okay with a
dislocated kneecap trust me. But that being said, they teased
a head and promoted to They're going to get to
the issue with the helmet and all that stuff next week.
That's going to be a big topic of conversation Antonio

(01:16:35):
Brown and the helmet and whatnot. But I think people
need to also keep in mind that the Raiders have
say as to what comes out of these episodes, so
and and wondering why HBO would concede that sort of
power because no coach really wants to be on hard knocks.
Nobody wants to give away all their input and certain

(01:16:56):
tells that they have on offense or defense or whatnot
from practice. And so the fact that there wasn't a
lot on Antonio Brown, I think to a certain extent,
was John Gruden and the Raiders probably protecting him a
little bit and not wanting to showcase all of his
flaws because you know, he's got a few of them
right now. The helmet, the feet, the offseason, all the
other stuff that comes along with his behavior. Yeah, you know,

(01:17:19):
to me, I just think because you aren't playing games
and you have nothing else, and the way he left Pittsburgh,
that's all people are focusing on. Yeah, we talked about
his numbers today on Undisputed, and his numbers are unbelievable.
I mean, have you have you Louis crazy. It's incredible,
incredible numbers, things that nobody else have ever done. He's

(01:17:40):
done it like a hundred receptions. I can't remember the
exact ones, but what he's done, he's got an active shriek.
He's done it six years in a row, and like
great players like a Jerry Rice only did it three
years in a row in his career. And he's that's
how that's how good he is. And he's not a
big body guy. He's he's a he's a smaller framed
wide receiver who just has a knack for one getting open,

(01:18:03):
two making catches and making tough grabs and doing it
every single game. So now he's an incredible player. And
so we get to see how it all plays out
on Hard Knoxes the weeks to come up next here
on Fox Sports Radio, a hot debate here on FSR,
Rob Parker is more passionate about this than he is
with cheesecake. Don't go anywhere. That's next here on Fox

we talked about a lot of stuff today, NFL heating

(01:19:10):
out baby it is. But this story in the NFL
very very interesting. And you know a lot of the brothers, man,
they're a little sideways over what's happened. What you say
brothers you mean, uh, like, what do you mean by that?
African Americans? Okay, the brothers. And you know, whenever jay

(01:19:31):
Z's involved, people are all in jay Z about the people.
Until today and now there's some pushback, some pushback because
and and here's the thing, Rob G's gonna explain what happened.
I'm gonna tell you why. I think people are within
their right to push back on jay Z and this

(01:19:52):
new deal with the NFL. Rob G. We go, Well,
that's right. He did have a small media conference with
Roger Goodell to discuss the new partnership, and he was
basically asked a bunch of different versions of the same question,
which was basically, how involved was Colin Kaepernick in any
of this agreement? Was he consulted in any way about

(01:20:14):
this partnership? And here's what jay Z said. He said, quote,
we forget that Colin's whole thing was to bring attention
to social injustice. In that case, this is a success.
This is the next phase. There are two parts of protesting.
You outside and you protest, and then the company or
the individual says I hear you, So what do we
do next? And for me, it's like action an actionable item.

(01:20:37):
What are we going to do with it? Everyone heard,
we hear what you're saying, and everybody knows I agree
with what you're saying, and with regards to Colin Kaepernick's message,
So what are we going to do help millions and
millions of people? Or we can get stuck on Colin
out having a job. And then he was also asked
if he had spoke to Colin. He said yes, which
was misreported that he had spoke to him about this

(01:20:58):
topic when he verified later saying that he had spoke
to him, but not specifically about this agreement. Here's the problem,
and I hear what he's talking about with action. But
now you're going to the same people who did the
unthinkable to Colin Kaepernick. That's the problem. I have the
same people who blackballed a man from playing football, took

(01:21:23):
away his livelihood because he had the nerve to stand
up for something that's right. That's the problem. And it's
always like they want to pay you off. Here's the money,
here's the check. Can you quiet down now so we
can go ahead and keep doing what we're doing. And

(01:21:43):
I think that's the part that's being lost. You're letting
Roger Goodell and the NFL owners off the hook for
what they did. If Colin Kaepernick couldn't play, he should
have had a chance to go out on the feed
fail like everybody else, get caught, and people can do that.

(01:22:05):
That's not what happened here. They did not like the message.
They didn't want to upset the Apple card. There have
been nothing but great people in this country who have
upset the Apple card. When the Brooklyn Dodgers brought in
Jackie Robinson. Other team owners said, we won't play the Dodgers.

(01:22:28):
Branch Ricky, screw you, we don't want a black guy
in the major leagues. Fans said they wouldn't come. You
know what they did, They changed America because branch Ricky.
And I'm not saying it was all about branch Ricky
in being self righteous and understanding the play of the
black man. Branch Ricky had a team in Brooklyn. He

(01:22:52):
saw all these black people walking around and they weren't
going to his game. He said, how can I get
these black people to buy baball tickets? You know how,
I'm gonna bring one of the best athletes we've ever seen,
and he's gonna wear my uniform. Muhammad Ali another guy

(01:23:13):
who stood up for what he believed in. He didn't
care about that bottle. You want the medal, He threw
it into the river school in That's the same man
now who was revered and wholytic torch for the Olympics
in this country. That's the guy they vilified, who they hated,
and now here we are getting in bed with the

(01:23:35):
same people who did this to Colin Kaepernick. This is
the problem that I have just taking people's money isn't
always the answer. Sometimes I'd rather have my dignity and
not two dimes to rub together, rather than take the
money from the people who committed. What they did was ill.

(01:23:59):
They went against everything that sports is supposed to be about,
which is about equal playing field, the strongest survived, the
best guy gets the job. That's not what they did here.
And you can paint it anyway you want, and you
can keep on. Even the NFL players took the ninety
million dollars check from the NFL. This is what they do.

(01:24:22):
And they do nothing but tell you, oh, this is
all about football. We're not interested in anything but football.
Yet they have breast cancer awareness, right, what does that
have to do with football? I want to go to
a game. What's all the pink splash? I understand breast
cancer awareness, but what does that have to do with football?

(01:24:42):
You know why they do it. They make money off
of it. They sell the pink garb, women buy it, everybody,
That's why that's okay. They also this is the same
league that went to the state of Arizona when the
people of the Commonwealth Jonas voted not to have the
Martin Luther King Holiday. And what did the NFL do.

(01:25:03):
They showed up and they told the people of Arizona
who voted for it. In this country, if you don't
have the Martin Luther King Holiday, you'll never get another
Super Bowl. Is that football or is that social? It's
social when you want it to be social. I'm sorry,
I can't get with it. Stop taking the money from

(01:25:26):
the people doing the bad. What they did to Colin
Kaepernick is unthinkable. He didn't do anything wrong. You would
rather sign a guy who's abused women, beat up kids, whatever,
drug users everything. Those guys get second chances. When a
guy was standing up for the rights of unarmed black
men and we're being shot and killed all over this country,

(01:25:48):
he's the enemy. Stop it. I'm disappointed in Rock Nation
in jay Z today to partner with the NFL. I
don't care what anybody says. Why are they aligated to
have to side with Colin Kaepernick? Why do they need
to take up for his fight? His fight is his fight.
They're looking at their own business. Why why is it
their responsibility? What is he doing wrong because he's putting

(01:26:09):
together a halftime show? What's what's the problem? Because he's
the same guy who when Colin was out the league
who refused to perform. But now he's now, now he's
okay with the NFL. Do you remember that? Yeah, but
I just out of the change. But why is this
always going back to Colin Kaepernick? You do you really
think that if Colin Kaepernick wanted to play that a

(01:26:30):
team just wouldn't sign him right now? See, I see
here's I don't think Colin Kaepernick wants to play that.
I don't think I think he's done with football. But
I think the longer he stays silent and the longer
he stays away from the game, the more everybody else
speaks for him. And it keeps the narrative going. The
idea that that anybody out there thinks that the NFL
is intentionally signing guys and you're saying, screw you, Colin

(01:26:51):
Kaepernick is that doesn't make any sense. I believe he
was blackballed. They they they and that's why. And here's
the other thing, Jonas, why they settled with him. There
was a court case that went forward. If there was
no merit, they could have thrown the case out. There
was a court case that they settled because they didn't

(01:27:13):
want the Texas and the emails and all and all
their files to be looked at. Why did he take
the settlement because I guess he figured when talking to
illegal people that that this is the best way rather
than going through the whole trial. But but if you're
really adamant about you want your right spot for him,
you want to stick up for yourself. And you're talking
about jay Z taking money from the NFL. Didn't Colin
Kaepernick take money from the NFL? And the settlement? Yeah?

(01:27:35):
Because he was he was put out of a job unfairly.
And you know what, it happens all the time, people
getting you Ever hear of unlawful termination, you get paid
when they fired you. And it's not just that's what
he was entitled to. That he was an NFL quarterback
making millions of dollars who was denied a job he
was entitled. That was not welfare. They took away his

(01:27:58):
livelihood for no reason other than him standing up for
what he believed in. And that's what this country's all about.
It is, well, we lost our way. I find it
really hard to believe that that guy just couldn't get
a job. I think here's and I also think people
forget this so remember when Kaepernick was brought to Seattle,

(01:28:21):
and I remember doing talking about this on my show
and saying, look, Seattle makes a lot of sense to
me because it's a similar offense, mobile quarterback. That fit
made sense to me if you wanted to go be
a backup quarterback. And Kaepernick was brought there, and while
he was there having a visit, things were reportedly going well.
Right after that, the Seth Wickersham article came out about

(01:28:42):
all the Seahawks not liking Russell Wilson and not getting
along with him. And I said at the time, I said,
all right, I guarantee you Kaepernick will not be signed
by the Seattle Seahawks because they don't want to sign
a guy who all the guys in the locker room love.
Right after an article comes out in which they talk
about how all the guys in the locker room don't
love Russell Wilson. So that was terrible timing and bad timing.

(01:29:04):
But I think that what also needs to be talked
about here. I think it's more likely that Colin Kaepernick
would love to come back to the NFL, but would
love to come back to the NFL on his terms,
and his terms haven't been available to where teams aren't
willing to pay a guy to be a backup. The
amount of money that he is asking for in the NFL,
I've never seen any offer or anything that he asked for.

(01:29:28):
I mean, that's what people, that's a talking point, but
I've never seen that. I've never seen him say I
got to have X amount of dollars and oh I
won't play. I do believe, deep in my heart that
the only reason he wasn't allowed to play is because
he did something that made the white fan base in
the NFL uncomfortable and they just don't want to deal

(01:29:50):
with it in front. And that's it. This is my escape.
I don't want to hear about it. I'm gonna cover
my eyes. I'm here to watch football. You heard it,
and what was it? The distraction? Oh, they're doing it
against the military. It's about the flag. It was never
about that. Yeah, but that's the distraction. Let me go.
Let me make it a distraction so that we could

(01:30:11):
get away from what the real story was and what
the real thing. He never had nothing to do it.
And the other thing is, wasn't it hum cadet or
marine who told him the kneel that it would be
it wouldn't be as disrespectful if he knelt down. That's
what he followed. Okay, but also I think that and
what to your point when you're talking about people. Here's

(01:30:34):
here's where I think we get lost in all this.
Everybody feels strongly about it, but there's not enough people
that are willing to on both sides, look at both
sides and be understanding to why you feel that way.
And it's like, look, maybe people from a military background
who are offended by him take, you know, sitting down
during the anthem. You know, maybe they need to do

(01:30:55):
a little bit better job at looking at why he
did it. But I think also the Kaepernick supporters need
to look do a better job and looking at to
why that's offensive to people in the military. Okay, Look,
we understand that you come from and know what's offensive
to me is to be an unarmed black man and
get shot down by police are supposed to protect and serve.
You can't ask me for my driver's license and shoot me.

(01:31:18):
I will know it can never stand for that, I
get it it. Yeah, that's worth fighting for, Okay, worth
fighting for, But at some point, bigger than a football game.
But at some point we come all the way back
around to jay Z partners with the NFL, and I'm
hearing people throw out stuff like he's a sellout. He's
a sellout because he doesn't agree with your approach to

(01:31:41):
how he's gonna handle and make make things good with
the NFL and trying whenever it is money involved. This
is this is, this is going on in our history
for a long time. This is what's done all the time.
How do we shake it up or stop people from
uh feeling well? Dride him a check. It happens a lot.
That's where the term comes out. That's why the term

(01:32:02):
is used because it has happened in our community. Go
to the loudest black guy in the protests and pay him,
tell him to go home, and he's good, and then
everybody else there's no fight anymore. And I'm not saying
that that's totally where jay Z, but that's why people
are always leery of it, because it's always, well, how
about some action. NFL is the same way they went

(01:32:26):
and forth for the Martin Luther King Holiday and made
it and made it happen. Help me with that. Why
did they do that? Because they knew that there was
because they had a league that was seventy five black,
and it didn't make sense going to someplace that wouldn't
even recognize Martin Luther King of all people. Look, I

(01:32:46):
just think I think it's a layered conversation that's got
a lot of twists and turns. But I just don't
agree with the approach of Jay Z's a sellout because
he partnered with the NFL. I just to me, I
think you're starting to label people as something that It
just I don't think that there's a clear cut definition
as to what's happening. And on top of all that,
nobody's heard from Colin Kaepernick, like he hasn't spoken at

(01:33:08):
all at any point. It's just all vagueness because it
keeps the story going longer. There's my problem. Jay Z
during the beginning said, Okay, I'm not performing at the
for the Super Bowl, neither was Beyonce. And now all
of a sudden, they're gonna make the make the Super
Bowl things better with their company. This is this is

(01:33:31):
what happens. So what cogress what happened? Oh? Is that
what it is? Progress? Well, there was no check involved before.
Remember they don't pay you to be a halftime yet.
Did you know that? Yeah, there's no money, all right.
I want to hear from people. Are you happy with
this new agreement jay Z and the NFL? Are you
you might be cool with it? I'm not cool with

(01:33:51):
it what they did to Colin Kaepernick. I don't think
that you could ever let go and think that it's
okay and cool to blackball someone for standing up for
something that's what's good and wants to change an ill
in the country. I just don't Eight seven seven nine
nine six sixty three sixty nine. I'm very passionate about this. Jonas.
Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox is the number

(01:34:13):
we'd love to hear from us. The Odd Couple Fox
Sports Radio. Be sure to catch live editions of The
Odd Couple with Chris Brussard and Rob Parker weekdays at
seven pm Eastern four pm Pacific on Fox Sports Radio
and the iHeart Radio app. It's a worship Wednesday here
on The Odd Couple. Why why is it worship Wednesday?

(01:34:35):
That's for Chris, you know he's a religious man, But
why Wednesday? Because it just goes together Worship Wednesday, like
like Magic City mondays, Oh yeah, but it is the
odd couple of Fox Sports Radio, Rob Parker along with
Jonas Knox and for Chris Broussard, Wow, who's on vacation,

(01:34:56):
and we got we got heavy, we got heavy. It's
very passionate topic for me and I just couldn't let
it go back buy me and Jonas. One thing that
Skip always says when we talk about these topics on
shows we've done, and I've done them with Skipped for
since two thousand and six, he always says, it's not racist.
It's racial and there's nothing wrong with talking about it. Yeah,

(01:35:17):
that's it, all right, let's go. We want to hear
from you age seven, seven ninety nine on Fox John
in North Carolina. You're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What you got? John and Guy always enjoyed
it shows is my second time, Hunt Robert. I am
a businessman myself Canta pastor, and I was telling you

(01:35:39):
speaking if the ecounts, it was contradictory in a way.
I think jay Z made a business decision. I think
this is all business. The Colin Kaeperney made a business
decision a few months ago with a nine gain. He's
getting paid handsomely for that. And I don't think as
the socio economic background of black people is such that

(01:36:00):
every time something goes on, we gotta pick our holes
and where we want to have business here and not
business there. Look, man Michael Jordan said a way back,
Republicans about tennis shoes too. We want we want to
sell everybody. And he already refused to do the halftime show.
That was enough. And this is a business decision. Colin's

(01:36:20):
gonna be fine. He's doing well with this thing. He's
killing things with Nike. They shot down the best ross
thing on the last set of shoes that were gonna
Oh that's still going on. But this is a business
this John, and I am not somebody that buys jay
Z music, but I do know this, in a business decision,
you're not thinking about ethnicity. You're not thinking about religion.

(01:36:43):
This is all about You're not thinking about politics either.
This is all about a business. All right, John, thank you,
I appreciate it. We could agree to disagree. Martin and
Nell pass A. You're in the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio, because I mean you can sit there and
talk about money, business scision or whatever. But everything is
everything's not for sale. Everything is not for sale. At

(01:37:05):
some point, you got to stand up for something and
you can't always take a check. That's all I'm saying.
And if you want to do that. When Michael Jordan
said that, and he's never really said that, that's like
a rumored thing that he said. Republicans wiy sneakers too.
They actually never have a quote from him saying that.
But he got criticized from a lot of people. How
much can people do for Colin Kaepernick to defend Colin

(01:37:27):
Kaepernick before he's got to come out and defend himself publicly.
It's like, why is every Why is it everybody else's
fight to defend a guy who won't take because it's
not just about Colin Kaepernick. It wasn't just about him.
It was about what was going on in this country
during that time and people people have sacrificed in this country.

(01:37:47):
This is why we're where we are, and we've had
a black president. At one time, we were second class citizens,
counted as a third of a man. I mean, I'm
just this is where we've come from. And I say
this because look, and you know, my brother's wife is
African American. They have two kids together. I lived in
the South and they still have slave quarters up and

(01:38:08):
it's weird. I don't get it. I don't understand. I've
been to like the plantations. I don't I took a
tour of it and and it was a legitimate slave
and it's uncomfortable and it's disgusting. And when you see
how certain people had to live like that, it's reprehensible
and it's gross, and there's terrible things that happen, and
those terrible things. I feel like Kaepernick did an amazing

(01:38:31):
job at presenting that to the public and putting shining
a spotlight on it and at least creating awareness for it.
But I just don't know how it's just an easy
slight to Colin Kaepernick that Jay Z agreed on a
partnership with the NFL At some point, if Colin Kaepernick
really wants back in the NFL and feels these way,
doesn't he have the obligation to come out and speak

(01:38:52):
instead of letting everybody else speak for him. I think
that they've had those conversations. I do believe that, whether
or not that they were interested in him or not.
Evan in Virginia, you're on the odd couple of Fox
Sports Radio. What you got, Evan? There you go. I agree.
I agree with you on this one. Rob all right?

(01:39:15):
Why see Evan? Rob? I Rob all right? Tell me why?
Because jay Z's got a pull on that demographic of
a younger black black American and if I were trying
to get slicker on this one, because they want to
get them to pool jay Z to help pool them
in and get them off of this thing. Because Colin

(01:39:38):
has not spoken, but nobody has asked them. I mean,
why Colin hasn't got to sit down with Stephen A. Smith.
Why hasn't somebody else as Colins they come and sit
down with them so we can hear what Colin had
to say. Everybody says they haven't heard what Colin has
to say. Colin has Colins and asked Rob, have you
asked Colin to come on your shoulder? We went, yeah,
I mean they've they've tried to one for undisputed at In.

(01:40:00):
There's not a network on the planet it hasn't reached
out to try and get interview. All right, appreciate the call.
Let's go to Justin in Salt Lake City. You're in
the old couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up hey, guys.
First of all, I love the show, Thank you very much.
I'm always I'm always camp problem tonight I heard something
that you said, and I hope you can distinguish it

(01:40:22):
for me. It made me clarify for me a little bit.
But it sounded like you said a lot of the
the problems the dispute with Colin Kaepernick's kneeling came from
the white community. Um that white people were offended by that?
Is that what I heard? I explained it. Yeah, I

(01:40:43):
just said that when when you brought it up earlier.
John Mara said, the fans, oh, they said they weren't
by giants tenure. He's full of correct. It wasn't. It wasn't.
And the black community and people I talked to people
didn't have a big gift to what I am I saying.
Nobody did, or at black people walk in lockstep, No
Cooper people do. But most of it it seemed to
be white fans who just didn't want to take part

(01:41:04):
in it and didn't want to be involved. That's why
they stopped showing it on TV. They stopped doing all
kinds of stuff. As as as a white guy, Um,
I don't have a military background. But I'll just say this,
as a white guy, it didn't offend me that he
took a knee, and that may that may offend military people,
but there again, their background, African Americans background, all of

(01:41:25):
it comes into this and and and it has a
play and all of this stuff. To me, I just
wasn't I wouldn't have done the approach. That's not the
way I would have thought. But the fact that he
took a knee, that's how he feels. That's how he feels. Hey,
Rob in Pennsylvania, you're you're on the odd couple of
Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Rob? What's up you guys?
It's up Rob? First, Rob, I God, I agree with

(01:41:49):
you Jonas. I believe it being a little naive on
the fun match for number one. The NFL, I mean,
gives them very hypocritical because when Colin first did this,
he was lockstep with him. And I'm surprised you guys
don't notice that the NFL is basically throw money at

(01:42:09):
all the black stars to make basically make us pick
a side. And basically when he first took his stand,
this is why I got to disagree with these Jonahs.
There were five players that the NFL brought back who
are out of retirement. They clearly black guy. They brought
back guys like Matt Campsell, Tim Tebow, Cutlers, Rob Rob.

(01:42:34):
They brought those guys back because they were willing to
play for the contracts that were offered, and they were
willing to be backups. You think that, hold on, You
think that Colin Kaepernick stands, Yeah, thanks for the call.
Had nothing to do with him not getting on a team.
It may have played a little part in it, but
let's not pretend like like Colin Kaepernick just all of
a sudden had no opportunities and no options out there.

(01:42:56):
I just I don't. I don't. I don't buy that
for a second. I just I just don't. I don't
buy that for a second. I think there's more to
it than that. A lot of the drama attached to it,
whether it's right or wrong, or if people feel like
it had I just I think there's more to it
than that. Man. I just don't think it's a cut
and dry situation. All right, The hot seat is coming up.
Stand stand by because a Fox Sports radio teammate, Jason

(01:43:19):
Martin joins us next on the hot seat. But First,
let's talk to Brian Fenley for the latest and sport.

Odd Couple and Rob Parker and Jonas Knox. That's right
coming to you live from the Geico Fox Sports Radio studios.

(01:45:09):
It's easy to say fifteen percent of more on car
insurance with Geico. Go to Geico dot com or call
eight hundred nine four seven Auto. The only hard part
is figuring out which way is easier. All right, you
know what time it is time for the hot seat.
Damn son, the current temperature beyond. Couple are making it

(01:45:31):
hot in here, damn hot. Time to sit your butt
down in the hot seat. That's right, it is the
hot seat. The couple. Fox Sports Radio a segment we
do every single week at nine thirty pm Easter. We
invite one of our Fox Sports teammates to get into
the squared circle with the tag team champions of the World.
In this case, it's a very personal battle the guy

(01:45:53):
who stole Jonas Knox. This weekend Overnight show, Jason Martin
is in the buildings. Jason, how are you feel I'm
feeling good man. It's a one on two handicap match,
and I feel like you guys need a few more
people on your side. Oh wow, thief man, you better
call a paramedics because this is not gonna be pretty
all right, guys, you know how the segment works. Jason

(01:46:16):
Martin has three sizzling hot takes ready to defend two
on one against Jonas Knox Rob Parker. So let's get started.
Topic number one. Jason Martin says that John Moran, taking
number two in the NBA Draft, will have a better
NBA career than the phenom Zion Williamson, Jason, you got

(01:46:38):
thirty seconds state your case. It's a guards league, it's
a shooters league. What John Moran does, That's what twenty
nineteen is in the NBA. What exactly is the flaw
in his game? Other than oh, he's a one year
wonder if you want to go in that direction. But
that's a bad direction because so is Zion. He was
only there for a year or two. Zion would have
been great in nineteen ninety nine, but now it's a

(01:47:01):
Swiss cheese game. He's still gotta pass this thing up.
He's got no mid range jumper. He's a sixty percent
free throw shooter, and he's six seven. He's not seven foot,
so he's got to get better stopping. We already know Zion.
It's all set up for him down down in New Orleans.
You know you talk about it's a guard league. It's
funny because KD was the guy knocking down the big

(01:47:22):
shots to win the championship and wasn't. It wasn't Steph Curry,
Steph Curry, we wasn't making no shots. Lebron James and
the guard, h Kawhi Leonard and the guard What are
you talking about. I'm not buying it. Jason, go ahead,
you're next, all right, you didn't listen. You didn't listen

(01:47:43):
to me. I said guards league and a shooters league.
Everybody you just named is a shooter. Is Zion can
develop that mid range shot, if he can develop a three,
if he can develop a free throw. Sure, But right now,
if you took John Wall and Russell Westbrook, made him humble,
made him good teammates in boldrawing them together on an
NBA flour, you would have John Moran. This was a dude.

(01:48:04):
There was a zero star recruit. I had people here
in Nashville. Tell me Murray State had talented people all
around him. That's bullcrap. That's because they got buckets because
he attracted all the attention. What Zion does is about
twenty years too late to be quite as good as
job see. I actually will agree with Jason Martin here

(01:48:24):
on this one, but it's not Rob Parker's fault. The
problem is the expectations for Zion Williamson going into the NBA.
He's never going to live up to him. So even
if he does have a quote unquote better career than
John Moran, the fact of the matter is he's been
way too hyped, way too overpublicized, and to be able
to deliver on that big of a stage, with that,

(01:48:46):
with that much reputation, everything attached to it, only Lebron
has done it. It's been attempted before, and no matter
what he does, it's never gonna come to what everyone
thinks it is. Okay, Round one is in the books.
It was supposed to be a two on one handicap match.
Jonas knocks. When he'll turn in the middle of the fight,
I'm gonna give us one to Rob Parkers. Stay and

(01:49:06):
true to him, true to me, true to myself. Right there,
Screw you, Jay, can't get a fair shake. I'm like,
I'm like, packy, Jonas. You know what. The NFL's on
the phone. They said that you weren't straight, so you
kept playing the league anymore? All right, here we go
Story number two. Jason Martin on the hot seat with
the eye couple. Jonas knocks Chris not Chris bru Sorry.

(01:49:28):
Jonas knocks and for Chris Brus sorry with Rob Parker.
Topic number two, Jason Martin says that John Gruden, head
coach of the Oakland Raiders, soon to be Vegas Raiders
is the most overrated person in sports. Jason, you got
thirty seconds? Tell us why quarter camp or quarterback camp?
Special star power made people believe he was a one

(01:49:48):
of a kind coach when he was not decent in Oakland,
but when he won in Tampa Bay he took over
for Tony Dungee that was a playoff team. He took
a nine and seventeen to twelve and four and beat
Bill Callahan. After that, what exactly did he do with
note other than tell college kids what he thought they'd
be in the pros and bubblegum his way through Monday
night football broadcast, making sure not to say anything real

(01:50:10):
that might cost him a chance to get back in work.
But take the Raiders ever made? I love that argument
when everybody says, well, he took Tony Dungee's team and
they want a super Bowl, all right, So then why
didn't Tony Dungee want a Super Bowl with the Bucks.
Bottom line is John Gruden is one of thirty two
human beings walking the face of the earth who has
a head coach won a Super Bowl. The idea that

(01:50:31):
he just doesn't know how to coach, you're clearly forgetting
about what happened in Oakland. A head coach of the Raiders.
All the quarterbacks that journeyman quarterbacks that he took to
Pro Bowls and having their best seasons with is he
groomed them. The problem is because he was a Monday
night football guy and because he's a lightning rod, people
want to criticize him without actually looking at the whole resume.
They just pinpoint the faults towards the end. And every

(01:50:53):
coach from time to time has down years. Not everybody
lands on their feet, all right, about to how about
some stats? Eight seasons his last time, and he's an
offensive guru, right his numbers twenty fourth, tenth, twenty second,
twenty third, twenty nine, eighteenth, fourteenth and twenty third. That's
not prema knocked the stuff in yards eighteenth, eighteen, twenty third,

(01:51:15):
twenty and thirty first, eighteenth, nineteen twenty eight in points
overall at ninety nine and ninety three record, Jonas, you
want to tell me to look at his full resume.
TV makes us think things that aren't true. Hard knocked
every year, just that dude's not worth anything. Jason stopped.
John Gun's not the most overrated guy in sports. His

(01:51:35):
name is John Harror. I mean John Harbaugh. Jim Harbor, Jim,
I'm sorry we have eighth f eighth that in the back.
He's apps. So at least John won the Super Bowl.
Jim Harbor. Michigan, he hasn't won. You want to talk
about not winning anything. He hasn't won. Jack, he was

(01:51:56):
in San Francisco. He couldn't win a big game there.
He's in college. He can't get Michigan over. Jim Harba
is the most overrated coach in the history of sports.
Round number two. A lot of haymakers being thrown there.
You know, for all the heavy lifting you did in
round one, you really dropped the ball in score that

(01:52:17):
one for Jason Martin. I blew it. Yeah, that's what
I'm talking about. All right, Here we go last round.
The hottest take of them all. This one's worth two
and a half points anybody's game, which means even Jonas
could win besides not having any points at all. Thank you,
Jason Martin. I don't know how hot of it take
this is. I gets it's hot that you guys disagree
with him. He's a really, really big fan of Chick

(01:52:40):
fil a Jason, you got thirty seconds. Tell us why
what exactly is bad on their menu. I go to
Anaheim in June. All I've heard is all in and
Out some good, So I go there. The uber driver
tells us what to order my gall and I go
in and we're eating it, and you know what, it's fine.
I threw it out a photo and people are like, oh,
you needed to order it animal style and all this
other jump. There's a secret menu apparently at In and

(01:53:02):
Out that's apparently the way to go. Chick fil A
has its own secret, gentleman. That secret is all of
their food is damn good, regardless of what you order
or how you order it. There's a reason there's a
line of quarter of a mile long and every Chick
fil A in his country almost all the time. It's
called consistency. It's breaking bad. You might as well turn
and change the name the cardboard filet Are you kidding me?

(01:53:25):
Have you had that chicken? I don't even know where
it came from, any kind of chicken with no bones?
How did it walk? And waffle fries? You know what?
You need syrup to cover up the taste of those fries.
They're not good. Well, I don't understand people are standing
out there. I think there's standing out there for free turkey.
It can't be for the fool not feeling it. Whatever.

(01:53:50):
There is no debate here, Rob. Somebody lasts one tweeted
me asking what their first Chick fil A meal should be,
so I'm like, I quote tweet it, and I knew
there would be debate. I said, nuggets, waffle, fries, diet
eliminate split with fruit bunch. Everybody disagrees, say chicken sandwich,
spicy chicken. The point is there's no wrong answer. You
can find garbage anywhere. I found it In and Out.
Jeff Swartz tells me it's a burger place, not a

(01:54:10):
fried place. What the hell is that? What's the burger
without the fries? Chick fil A is overrated only in
the eyes of people that hate consistency, which is really
fitting for you, Rob, considering your garbage. Tom Brady arguments
that I have to listen to during commercial breaks all
the time, during what show listen. I'm not the biggest
in and Out fan in the world. I think Getting
Out is a little bit overrated. Chick fil A, no

(01:54:33):
doubt about it, is overrated. I've had it in multiple states.
I've had it at airports, and every time I give
it a try, everybody tells me, no, no, you gotta
try this time. No, no, try try this the next time.
And I try it and it's just kind of eh.
It's okay. It's not the greatest thing in the world.
And by the way, you can't qualify as the best
fast food restaurant in the world when you're just a

(01:54:53):
part timer you don't even work on Sundays. Take a walk,
leave it to the full time fast food chains and
go find your business somewhere else. Wow. Wow Wow. Here
the new tag team champions. The couple win that one. Yes,

(01:55:14):
Jonas Knox comes to stay the day. Hey Jason, that
knock at the door, that's the paramedics. You're burnt up.
Put some Put some cocoa butter on your man. That's
all right. But yes, you can check out he's a

And uh, there's so much to talk about. Yeah, the

(01:56:40):
NFL has got a bunch of juicy hot storylines. Every day.
There's something new at a Raiders camp, you know, and
something to look forward to on hard knocks and then
you know they'll be Uh. You had a very passion
and passions a speech. And when it came to Jay
Z and his handling of joining the NFL or or
partnering up with the NFL, I should say that. I'm

(01:57:02):
sure we'll generate plenty of buzzes on social media and
who's going to get caught up? And that would chipper
this guy because I'm the white guy. Exactly how that's
gonna go? All right? Hey, since when it being white
and bad thing, it usually works out for you. Come on, now,
don't kid yourself. You never see that video of a

(01:57:23):
woman she's dished in in front of like five hundred people,
and she said, as she said, would anybody in the room,
It was like, oh, everybody was white. Anybody in this room?
Would they be willing to switch places where a black
person stand up? How many people stood up? Zero? Seriously,
look at my writers on social media. So it's unbelievable, Like,

(01:57:44):
you know, not even one guy says, hey, hey, I
want to play in the NBA or maybe I want
to know what I mean? Like, not one person stood
up and said they wanted to change. You're gonna say
NBA and what else? Or the NFL right to say it,
But you're taking us in another No, no, no, oh,
I'm not doing an't making sure. So yeah, so we'll

(01:58:09):
have plenty of It's tough to talk about It is
fun to do the show with you when Chris isn't around.
Uh and Uh he needs some R and R arrest
and relaxing. Speaking of arrest and relaxation, you're getting up
at three effing am. Yes, tomorrow, Pacific Coast, Pacific Coast,

We'll have fun, and then we'll be back on the
radio Rob Parker and of course Jonahs Knocked Straight. So
