(00:01):
It's Night Side with Dan Ray.I'm WBZY, Boston's News Radio. Welcome
back everybody, Thanks Dan Watkins. As we go through our second hour,
and we are talking politics, It'sas simple as that. I know that
there is a Republican convention ongoing inMilwaukee, and we're talking about that and
all some of the related activities.I do not not going to allow people
(00:24):
to wait here. I have alot of sound that i'd like to get
to, dealing with Jay d Vanceand also dealing with President Biden's interview last
night with Lester Holt of the NBCanchor. But right now, let's go
to Janine in High Annas. Hi, Janine, how are you tonight?
I'm great, Dan, how areyou just great? Thanks for calling in,
(00:47):
having heard for you in a while, Welcome back. A little happy
belated birthday. I heard you hada birthday last week. Yeah, I
have one every July. It's amazing. It comes around the clockwork O telling
you, I feel it minds everyyear. It just seemed to come a
little bit more quickly. Yeah,So all right, I don't want to
hold you up too long, butI first of all just wanted to stay
(01:11):
happy birthday. But also as faras talking about Robert Kennedy finally getting protection
yes from the Secret Service. Thatreally has bothered me. It's been like
a year and he you know,as you know, a presidential candidate,
you know, he's obligated. They'resupposed to give that, you know,
(01:32):
to any candidate. Right, Solet me let me just amend that a
little bit for you. Okay. There's a lot of people who run for
president in this country, and mostpeople aren't aware of it. When you
go to New Hampshire in January orFebruary of a presidential year, there's about
fifty people who pay one thousand dollarsto have put their name on the ballot.
(01:53):
And one of the reasons I thinksome of those people do it is
they do it as a lark sothey can tell their friends that I was
a presidential candidate in two thousand andwhatever. And I think some of them
hope that maybe when they were obituariesin the newspaper, it'll say, you
know, Josh Mooe who ran forpresident in two thousand and four. And
(02:13):
then of course you have the theminor party candidates. Cornell West is currently
running. You have Jill Stein, who's running, you had a minority,
You had minor candidates on the Democraticside this year, So yeah, there's
a lot of people. But secretService protection generally doesn't kick in. It's
(02:36):
it basically is on a case bycase basis, and all of it involves
you have to show so much inthe polls. So for example, when
they're doing the primaries, you've probablynot seeing any Secret Service protection. Except
for an incumbent president. It canbe situation. He's a little different.
He actually has been getting you know, ten percent. I think at one
(02:59):
point he was shown in some pollstwelve to fifteen percent. Well, that's
a pretty good number. And thefact of the matter is, because of
the family history of losing his unclePresident Kennedy and his dad, Robert F.
Senator Robert F. Kennedy in nineteensixty eight, they should have given
him Secret Service protection a year ago. You're absolutely right, And we talked
(03:22):
about that a bunch of times onthe program, and I said at the
time it was vile and evil forthe High administration because they're the ones who
decide who gets Secret Service protection. And if some lack of doodle took a
shot at Bobby Kennedy, thank Godone of the positives that have come out
of this attempted assassination as horrific anevent as that was on Saturday, and
(03:44):
when I saw it, I wasthe pit of my stomach, not because
it was Donald Trump, but becauseonce again America was threatened. We were
threatened, the entire half the countrywas threatened. Thank God, is that
Bobby Kennedy is going to get theSecret Service protection. I just think that
the Biden administration said basically, youknow he's going to run against us as
an independent, will show him itwas. It was vile. No,
(04:11):
it's disgusting. It's absolutely disgusting. But you know, you know where I
stand. You know who I'm goingto vote for. I'm not going to
get on a soapbox and say,oh here, you know, I'm going
to vote for this guy. ButI just like Robert Kennedy, like I
just I you know, it's abouttime and it and it really bothers me
(04:31):
that it took what it took yesto finally get him the protection that he
deserves. You know, It's it'svery sad on the Biden administration, and
I hope that sways people in therevoting. Like I'm not trying to tell
people to vote for whoever. Butto see that it took this much and
(04:56):
for him to have that you know, phone call leaked and to say what
he said, you know what, good for him. He didn't say too
much. It was leaked by hisson, by the way, it was
leaked by Kennedy's son. Yeah, and Kennedy apologized to President Trump. They
apparently have a better relationship that well, Biden and Trump don't have much of
(05:18):
a relationship, although President Biden didcall for President Trump, I guess sometime
on Sunday and talk to him aboutthe horrific event that occurred on Saturday night.
Yeah, yeah, well, Ithink I think it was perfunctory,
brief, fairly direct. Let meask you this, did Saturday night have
(05:40):
any impact on who you will votefor? Did it solidify your vote?
Did it make you question who youhad decided on? I believe you're a
Trump supporter, correct, Yeah?Oh yeah, Okay, So I'm just
curious when you saw that and yousaw him come up with the fist pumping
(06:00):
and all of that, what Ithink that that image is going to serve
him? Well, I'm sure hedidn't want that image, but I think
that image is going to serve himwell in the minds of the American people.
All right, well, I'll answerthat by saying this. When he
you know, grabbed his ear andhe dropped down, and then you know,
(06:23):
they got him back up, andhe first off was he said,
let me get my shoes, likethree times, let me get my shoes.
Let me get my shoes. Andthen he overpowered his little secret service
groups, you know, his littlepeople, and he put his fist up.
I said, oh my god,you know, look at him.
He just got his like whole cartilageshot off on his ear. And that
(06:47):
hurts after having been pierced in thecartilage. I know how much that hurts.
But to get shot in here,I don't know, but I know
that the painful situation. So I'mlike, oh my god. But thinking
about out how he got up,Like if they didn't like rush them off
stage after they said, oh,you know, you know, shoot her
down, thinking you know, there'sno more you know, security risk,
(07:13):
he would have stood up there andcontinued on, just like Teddy Roosevelt after
he got shot in his fifty pageyou know speech and stood there bleeding and
continued to read a speech and that'sI feel that's what Trump would have done.
That's a strong person. That's Ithink what this country needs, especially
now, you know, after what'sbeen going on in the last few years.
(07:36):
When was Teddy rosel When was TeddyRoosevelt shot? I did not realize.
I know that as the rough Ridershe led, you know, troops
into battle in Cuba, but Idon't remember that he was shot giving a
speech. Is that a true?I have not heard that story. I
believe it's Teddy Roosevelt. I tryto brush up on my presidents and who
(08:01):
was like, you know, sowe're like, I'm pretty I'm I'm ninety
nine percent sure is Teddy Roosevelt. He had a fifty page speech in his
wool coat, and somebody tried toshoot him with something, and then he
stood there bleeding and read a fiftypage speech. I almost lost up,
(08:22):
you know, I hope I'm right. You learn things every day. Let's
see assassination. A former saloon keeperattempted to assassinate former President Roosevelt. You
might be right here. Let mesee what I can get here real quickly
for you. Teddy Roosevelt survived shootingan assassination attempt. So if Eddie Roosevelt
(08:46):
survived the shooting an assassination attempt inMilwaukee, We're going to get this here
among but that is that happened inin Milwaukee in nineteen twelve. Uh And
if it hadn't been for copy oflong winded speech and a spectacle case,
it might have been more than afootnote in history. I guess the speech
and the spectacle case stopped. Thebullet said he came to Spare Milwaukee Auditorium
(09:13):
on the way out of the GilpatrickHotel. So he's leaving the hotel a
disgrunt through New Yorker named John Schrank, who had been stalking the former president
to stop him from getting a thirdterm. The bullet hit Roosevelt in the
chest, but it was slid slowedby the contents of his pocket, a
metal spectacle's case and a copy ofa very long speech, so he didn't
(09:35):
continue the speech. He managed tomake his speech, and in a bit
of bravado, used his bloody shirtand tattered speech as a symbol of his
resilience. You nailed it, Younailed it. I had never heard that
story, at least I don't recall. No way to me. Congratulations,
I'll tell you that. You know, that's a that's a good one.
(09:56):
You know what we're gonna do.Proud you stumped me. I mean,
have you ever gotten a nightside coffeemug? No, I drink coffee like
like an addict. Now we'll sendone to you in the next day or
so. Okay, coffee much?Well, you stuffed me on it.
I was I was skeptical, andI should have known that. Congratulations,
(10:18):
you got a nightside coffee mug comingcoming along on? Don't you do is
leave an address where we can sendthe coffee mug to you down in Highenna's
Okay, thank you so much.Oh my god, that's so cool.
You're welcome. Break call. Hey, you know what we could talk about
that one. By the way,the headline of the Milwaukee Sentinel that said
(10:39):
that they said insane me and shootsRoosevelt. Uh, and I suspect that
the same the same headline could beused about this kid, this twenty year
old. I'm sure he was insane. I mean, right, well,
I'll tell you what yesterday. I'msorry to cut you off, but I
don't want to take too much ofyour time. But yesterday, as I'm
(11:01):
listening to w Z WZ listening, you know, deliver in my mouth at
work. I did hear one ofyour reporters talked to a high school graduate,
like classmate of the shooter. He'sa loaner and didn't have much interaction
with other people. Yeah, thingslike that. Basically he like lived with
(11:22):
his parents and he just got hegot bullied all the time and whatever.
But then it's like, you know, like the day before Biden when he
said, and I'm not trashing Biden, I'm just repeating like basically what he
said, Let's make Trump a target, a bullseye or whatever the word was
(11:43):
that he used. And let meplay this sound bite for you. This
is Rob. This is cut numbertwo. This is President Biden talking with
Lester Holt. Apparently it was notthat President Biden said, use this imagery
and hold to his credit. Challengeby note it. This cut two will
get your reaction to it. Cuttoo, Rob, As you called your
(12:05):
opponent an existential threat on a calla week ago, you said it's time
to put Trump in the bullseye. There's some dispute about the context, but
I think you appreciate I didn't saythe crosshairs. I'm talking focus on.
Look, the truth of the matterwas that I guess I was talking about
it at the time, was therewas very little focus on Trump's agenda.
(12:26):
Yeah, the term as bullseye wasa mistake. To use the word.
I didn't. I didn't say crosshairs, bulls. I focus on him,
focus on what he's doing, Focuson one as as policies, focus on
the number of lies he told debate, focus on I mean, there's there's
a whole range of things that Look, I'm not the guy that said I
(12:48):
want to be a dictator on dayone. I'm not the guy that refused
to accept the outcome of the election. I'm not the guy who said that
one accept the outcome of this electionautomatically. You can't only love your country
when you win. By the way, why don't you say lest the host
had a pretty pretty did a prettygood job there. If you're going to
say focus, say focused. Don'tuse the phrase bullseye. There's a there's
(13:11):
a context of bullseye what we're talkingabout there. I don't think the president
meant to suggest that someone should shootPresident Trump, but these the use of
such loose language could have connected inthis kid's head. We'll never know.
Oh, President Biden think so Ishould make Trump a bullseye. Oh I
got a gun. I know whoknows. But that was a pretty weak
(13:33):
response from the President and a prettygood question. I really posed very well
by Lester Holt. Janine, I'mway past my break. You got a
coffee mug coming. You stumped me, and you taught me something about American
history. I thank you very much. We'll be back on Nightside. Don't
hang up, Jeanine, rob gether address and get her phone number,
(13:54):
and we'll get her that night sidecoffee mug in the next couple of days.
That, of course, is courtesyof our friends at college Hype,
Jack Dougherty and and Joe Uh andUh and Kathleen, great crew of people
over there. You can get aKnightside coffee mung or you can get a
T shirt or a hoodie knight orhat. All you gotta do is go
to Nightside Gear Knightside g e ar gear dot com. We'll be back
(14:16):
more phone calls right after this. Now back to Dan Ray live from the
Window World Nightside Studios on WBZ NewsRadio. All right, let me go
to Mike in New York. Mike, where about to New York? You're
checking in from tonight right now?Queens? Oh, okay, down down,
(14:39):
down in the city. Okay, that's right. Yeah, yeah.
Hey, I'm surprised you didn't knowthat about Teddy Roosevelt because even I knew
that. But but we all haveour kind of blind spots. Yeah,
no, I will, I willadmit one of the things that about when
I'm wrong or when I could havefake guyes all that Teddy Roads. Oh
(15:01):
yeah, yeah, No, Iknown a lot of Teddy Roosevelt stories,
but I had forgotten that one.It was obviously an unsuccessful assassination attempt.
But it's always fascinating who the peopleare that take a shot or or or
an attempt to take out a presidentof the United States. Yeah, and
(15:22):
unfortunately it seems to be uh,you know, maybe their ages are different,
but some similarities. And especially nowI really think like that, you
know, kid was sounded like hewas bullied alone er. I feel I
always feel bad for their parents, you know, and family they have to
to live with that, and thewhole and the poor a portunate person that
(15:43):
was killed too. But the socialmedia, I mean, it's just really
accelerates. I think it's just gota lot to do that you get you
get driven into these black holes likeyou know, you know, and it's
just desperation for these people. Oh, I agree with you. You also
can understand where a parent might tryto find an activity. If all of
(16:07):
a sudden you have a kid whohas no friends, and that kid is
sitting in their basement or in hisroom or her room all alone, you
might still as your child, youmight say, well, look, you
know, maybe he'll make some friendsthrough. You know, again, different
part of the world, Pennsylvania.Hunting in Pennsylvania is like playing golf on
(16:30):
get caught. It's just what peopledo. And we can look down our
nose if I don't, and Ihope you don't either, But there are
some people, Oh my god,but that's the way some people. You
know, Bowling is a big sportin different parts of the countries. It's
country. It's not a big sporthere. We have to understand we're different
(16:52):
culturally, that's all. Yeah.Yeah, I mean, I'm not a
hunter, you know, I likethe al Jewish, but I have you
know, good friends and close asthe hunters, and and uh, you
know, I don't have guns orshoot, but I have other friends that
you know, sports shoot as well, so and generally those are other people
that are an issue with with guns. So it's you know it, but
(17:14):
you know, it was just justan awful thing. And I guess maybe
we'll find some morow, but Ithink we'll We'll just find out. He's
probably similar to these you know, these mass shooters, these young people that
go these you know that shoot upthe schools or clubs or wherever. They
seem to have a very similar typesituation, you know, as far as
you know, owners and bully andbecoming Yeah, you know, and you
(17:37):
don't know how many of these people. What's scary about it is you don't
know how many of these people areout there, and you don't know what
triggers them, you know what whatyou look at people's minds, even your
own kids and your own friends, and you know, thankfully most of us
are good, but they're okay. But you can't know, and you know
you can't. You know, theparents probably had no you know, they
didn't know, and there's there's noit out though a lot of times,
(18:00):
you know, sometimes it's signs, but sometimes we're on yeah, could the
president who was the youngest president.Quickly, the youngest president was President Kennedy
as an elected president, but TeddyRoosevelt after the McKinley assassination, became president
(18:22):
and he was the youngest person toserve as president, but he was not
the younger elected president. Yeah,Chuck, Plus, I thought I might
stump you on maybe Roosevelt that theyoungest president seems to stuff a lot of
people. But that's correctly, soI was. I was one night the
party candidate too. I believe thatthat was that was it. Yeah,
he left the Republican Party. That'scorrect, That's correct. And then his
(18:45):
cousin, Franklin Roosevelt also was shotat when when he was president. So
unfortunately then than we realized. Mike, thank you very much for calling.
I appreciate your calling. You welcome. All right, I have a great
week, said a little early forthe weekend. Here here comes the news
(19:06):
six one seven, two four tenthirty one line. There a couple of
lines at six one seven, ninethree thirty. You know what I'm really
looking for tonight, I'm looking forpeople who have not who have never called
this program before. I love myregular callers, but I encourage you if
you've never tried to get involved inthe political conversation. Not the political debate,
the political conversation. This is asafe place that you can call an
(19:26):
express your opinion. Whatever it is. Okay, we can have a conversation.
Feel free to join the conversation.People always want to talk politics,
and oftentimes when we're talking politics, they sit back and they want to listen.
Back right after the news here onNightside. You're on Night Side with
Dan Ray on WBZ, Boston's newsradio. All right, back to the
(19:49):
phones we go. Let me goto Maryan. No, actually, I'm
excuse me. We're going to gofirst to Henry and Sutton. Henry,
you are next on Nightside, willget to Marry and in just a moment,
go ahead, Henry. Yeah. Are you sure Bobby Kennedy wants the
Secret Service protection now after what hejust saw on Saturday? I mean,
(20:11):
come on, what a failure thatwas the That was the makeshift headquarters for
the police that day at the place, and they had a DEI. She
was head of the ground crew.I don't know if Trump knew that or
not, but well, how ridiculousis that she's telling these Secret Service agents,
(20:33):
you can't wear a red tie?Are you showing bias to Trump?
The silly rules that they have aheadof the they should be fired to me?
Who let me make sure? So? Who is telling that to the
Secret Service agents? No one's goingto tell a Secret Service agent what to
wear? Are you saying? DEI? The DEI person is the head of
(20:53):
the crew. They were saying theydon't want them wearing red ties. It
shows a bias to Trump. Theywant them to just wear regular ties.
And I have not heard that story. If you could send me maybe some
information on it, I'd be morethan happy to talk about it at greater
length. All you're gonna do issend me well, I have no idea
(21:15):
what you saw. Kenny. No, No, But Bobby Kennedy. For
those of you that are going tovote for Biden and don't like him,
and you don't like Biden, justvote for Bobby Kennedy. He's the same
thing. He just just wants toclose the border and he's anti vaccination.
Otherwise he's the same tax and spenddemocrat. Is Biden with Hoyle tax the
(21:37):
people and then he's gonna, youknow, fund horrible policies like the I
Uh, they look at his vicepresident. I mean, she's a total
flaming lib you know people. Uh, I get your point. I get
your point. You you mentioned earlierthat you don't think that Bobby Kennedy wants
(22:00):
Secret Service protection. He requested SecretService protection from the Biden administration. I
do not believe that the incumbent presidentshould be the person who decides on whether
his or her opponent should receive SecretService protection. Bobby Kennedy had to spend
(22:22):
his own campaign moneies, his owncampaign funds for security up until just a
day or so ago. He askedfor Secret Service protection for five times,
five times. And although there obviouslywas a series of mistakes or a couple
of big mistakes on Saturday, andwe need to find out who made those
(22:44):
mistakes and why those mistakes were made. The Secret Service have protected presidents of
this country pretty successfully over the lastforty or so years. The last president
who was the victim of an assassinationattempt he survived was President Reagan in nineteen
eighty one. Castle Yeah, hedeserves he deserves it, Bobby. I'm
(23:06):
just kidding about the sarcasm that youknow doesn't ask what he thought that's your
sarcastic. I mean, I meanthey said that. They said that the
roof wasn't safer. They had aslope on it. In the feger,
I knew a guy. Listen,I'm seventy six years old on August the
fifth. I was born in fortyeight, and I knew a guy that
was I knew a guy that wasgoing to be He was in the Vice
(23:30):
he trained to be a secret serviceagent. I was in the Marine Corps
with him. He was training tobe a secret service agent for Spirotagnal.
Him and thirty nine other guys weregoing to be the vice presidential detail.
He didn't make it. That's howtough and rigorous the training is. And
this guy was Special Forces. That'show tough the training is. So I
don't know what this five foot fourwoman was doing. She couldn't even cover
(23:52):
his body. They should have everybodybe six foot two to cover him.
I don't understand it either. We'regonna find out. But for them to
say they can't stand on the slantedroof, why, how silly is that?
That's the most ridiculous thing these people. I never I never heard that.
But but but you know, again, if you got some backup on
that information, give me give mea call. Look, I can tell
you this. There's plenty of fivefour women probably who are secret service agents
(24:17):
or police officers who would rip yourbutt and whip my butt and uh were
these well I'm talking about the heightof the person they're protecting, then they
should know. No, I understandthat. I do understand that. But
there were plenty of agents there whowere as tall or taller than Trump.
I mean, if you ever getlet's say, a famous NBA basketball player
who becomes president, you're gonna havea tough time fighting Bill Bill Bradley ran.
(24:41):
Bill Bradley ran exactly, and bradthere is about six y nine if
I if I recall correctly, whatdo you do at that point? Great
conversation, Henry. I appreciate itvery much. Have you called before since
your first time I called? Icalled? Uh a call the Larry Larry
(25:02):
Glick is the last time I called? W Is your first time calling night
side? Okay, first time? But wait a minute, now, hold
on, Henry, don't tell me. Wait a minute. Just if you
got something you'd like to say, fine, but I'm coming up on the
break. So if you want toyou bet on for five minutes, don't
you know, don't try to runmy show. Just just be polite,
(25:22):
you're you're you know yourself. Quick, I will be I will be quick.
Go ahead for the break. Zolenskyis a very corrupt president. You
had to call about defending the Ukraine. Pelosi's son John Kerry steps on.
Mitt Romney's son and Aunta Biden areon the board at Barismo Oil. These
are corrupt people. That's not true. That that is flat out not true.
(25:45):
Henry, you send me an article. Mitt Romney's son is not on
Barisma. Uh, Joe Biden's sonwas on Barisma. But it doesn't mean
that every other American politician who hada male offspring has a son in Barisna.
I don't think we will. Wewill agree with you when you're right,
and we'll call you up short whenI think you're wrong. Okay,
(26:07):
it was news. It was Newsmax, Newsmax, Well simps, simple as
that, have a great night, six one seven. If that would be
such a huge think about it,folks, that would be such a huge
story. If Rodney's son was onBarisma, If Biden's son, which we
know was on Barisma and then ifPelosi's and whatever everybody major American politics,
(26:30):
Ron Barisma. You think that mighthave made the news? Do you think
that might have been on Fox News? Do you think it might have been
on NBC, ABC, CBS.I think it might have been six,
one, seven, three, one, ten thirty. Bring it on,
folks. I'm having a I'm havingfun first time callers, particularly a welcome
tonight, as they are every night. We'll be back right after this.
(26:52):
Now back to Dan Ray live fromthe Window World Nice Science Studios. I'm
WBZ News Radio. Go to maryonin Oxbridge, Mary, and next on
Nightside. Welcome you remember me theIrish stem way back? I think I
do, Mary, and welcome. How are you tonight? Well, I'm
(27:14):
one of those. Yeah good,I'm one of those Irish stems that it
doesn't like aoc and Iana Pressley.I'm a conservative. You know. I
grew up with the Kennedys and Oxbridgeand in Oxbridge. But my father used
to think the Kennedys were gods, you know, I mean he was an
Irish. Like he said, whenJack got killed and Bobby got killed,
(27:37):
he cried. It's the only timeI saw him cry. He said they
were os, they were ro yep. Well, I don't know that Jack
Kennedy would be a Democrat today.Well, I said to people, I
said, sorry, the interrupt you. You're going to see AOC is going
to come out against the Kennedys. And my sister's no way they had Democrats.
(28:02):
I said, she would consider TeddyKennedy a Republican, and I swear
she would, and I will remaina Democrat because I think I can change
this party. But this isn't thatJoe Biden. I grew up with Joe
Biden. I grew up with worshipBobby Kennedy. He worked for him.
(28:22):
What what what's his problem? Youknow? Oh? I think that I
think that that Joe Biden has losta lot off his fastball. And I
think that he was given that someof the young turks in the White House
said to him, don't give BobbyKennedy junior Secret Service protection, make him,
make him spend his own money forit. And I don't know that
Biden really thought about it. Andthank god that there wasn't someone at some
(28:45):
point along the way who decided tomake a name for themselves. I mean,
I will ask hotel. You findme one Democrat today who will intone
the comments that Kennedy made during theinaugural of nineteen sixty one asked, not
what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your
(29:06):
country. Name me one Democrat whowill say that today. Mark Kelly,
Mark Kelly, for sure. I'mnot so sure he's I think he would,
and I think he's the next choicebecause Kamala can't wear cheese, nobody
likes her. I don't even like. I won't vote for I'd vote for
you know, So who are yougonna vote for? Who are going to
(29:27):
vote for? This? Who aregonna vote You're gonna assume you vote for
Bobby Kennedy, I know, becausehis family doesn't want people to vote for
his own family. So you're gonnavote for Joe? Are you gonna vote
for Joe Biden? I'm not sureif I'm going to vote period. I
want to know if Mark Kelly's comingout. I've heard he's going to come
out of the woodwork. Joe Biden'sgoing to endorse him, and I think
(29:51):
he. Well, let me askyou this, where have you heard that
other than in your dreams? Inmy dreams? No. It was on
the TV. They said, whodo you think we'll come out, and
he said, watch Mark Kelly. We'll see. Now see, I think

(30:12):

I beg my original comment. Sothe guy that was talking about the Secret
Service agent the woman, yes, saying she's too short. Uh that sniper
was he killed? He wounded towe killed another person? He wounded Trump?
(30:56):

would not run a mess with anySecret Service agent, male or female,
six to four or five four whatever. Okay, yeah, just go ahead.
What was your other comments? Oh? Yeah, Well my comment is,
uh, doing a campaign rally inOhio. If Trump said there'll be
blood, a blood bath if heloses the election in twenty twenty four,
(31:45):
you know, I do ahead.I don't know the context of that.
I will be more than happy totry and look it up during the newscast.
I think that that has been takenout of context. But but let's
find out. I will go lookit up and I'll come back after the
(32:06):
ten o'clock news. Can I makeanother comment? Sure? And hey,
if he said that, if hesaid that, that is a dumb,
dumb thing and improper, and Ihope he will retract that. If he
said that, Okay, well hesaid of March sixteenth, twenty twenty four,
in Raleigh, Ohio. But uh, you know the head of the
(32:27):
Concerned Heritage Foundation, Kevin Roberts,He's also the author of the Oh well,
he don't know him, is whatyou asked me. I was answering
the question, go ahead, okay, I'm sorry. Yeah, And he
was the author of twenty twenty fiveproject that a plump gets in. That's
what they're going to use for thefor the administration, and what he says,
(32:49):
we are in the process of thesecond Revolution. It will remain bloodless
if the left shows allows it tobe. You know, I wonder the
people of left, whoever they are, m might be. I'm not sure.
I'm going to check, should beprepared to defend their lives in family
and friends. I mean that isagain, you know something, when Trump
(33:12):
said that there'll be bloodshed, hedidn't realize it, and it was sad
or was that going it was goingto be his blood? And two of
his supporters were shot and the depthof another arm said, well, you
got to be so careful with yourlanguage. You can't be using that language,
no question. Well, well,President Biden used the word bullseye last
(33:34):
week. Well, and you knowsomething, you can use Bush. You're
usable bull are anyway. But canI tell you something when you say there's
no doubt in my mind there willbe trouble in this country in twenty twenty
four. But there's no doubt aboutit. But I'm hoping, Uh,
I forget. I don't play baseball, but I think I'm going to get
(33:55):
a bath to protective myself. Butthen you know, Okay, yah,
I'm not a new caller, butit's always I had a call. I
couldn't go by your rule, butbecause I enjoyed talking to you. You
are you? Are you a newcaller? That's you're not? No,
no, no, yeah, I'mreading it. Article from NBC News.
(34:17):
Okay, this bloodbath comment if notre elected. This is an NBC News
report. The comments came in arally here as Trump discussed the possibility of
an increasing trade war with China overauto manufacturing. The rally was intended to
get out the vote for Republicans Senatecandidate Bernie Marino, who Trump endorsed in
(34:37):
December ahead of Ohio's primary on Tuesday. If you're listening, President g and
you and I are friends, buthe understands the way ideal those big monster
car manufacturing plans that you're building inMexico right now, you're not going You're
going to not hire Americans and you'regoing to sell cars to us. We're
going to put a one hundred percentSarify on every single car that comes across
(34:59):
the line, and you're not goingto be able to sell those cars if
I get elected. Now, ifI do, if I don't get elected,
it's going to be a blood bathfor the whole that's going to be
the least of it. It's goingto be a blood bath for the country.
That will be the least of it. But they're not going to sell
these cars. They're building massive factories. I think he's talking. I think
(35:19):
what he was trying to say.In response to the former president's comments,
Trump campaign spokes with when Caroline Levitttold NBC News, Biden's policies will create
an economic blood bath for the autoindustry and auto workers. Okay, that's
what's called context. Okay, yougotta run, Bob, Thank you very
