Well, here on the Common, it's fond memories of the
tree lighting of a spruce that's cut down in Nova
Scotia and shipped here every year. It's amazing, profess for
the first time ever a Boston mayor helped cut it down.

They're really pretty. But in today's day and age, how
often are we going to keep cutting all these trees
down for like a two week celebrate, you know what
I mean, like cutting down Christmas trees for.

Like, you know, to have them in our in our
homes for a month.

It's a tradition that was born out of tragedy Canadians
thanking Boston for the supplies. It's sent to the site
of the mass fatal Halifax Harbor explosion of nineteen seventeen. Today,
it's a sight to behold the lights flicker on December
