Downtown Boston BID Installs 16-foot Nutcrackers in Downtown Crossing

Downtown Crossing has been transformed into a holiday kingdom. Standing
over several blocks are one dozen giant nutcrackers sixteen feet tall,
each one featuring the head of an animal. What kind
of animals?

Oh my god, So we've got polar bears, We've got penguins,
we've got eagle, all sorts of great, wild, wonderful animals.

George Kmoe with the Downtown Boston Business Improvement District says,
the nutcrackers are just part of the transformation of this place,
which has a number of unique events and experiences for
the holidays.

Downtown Crossing has always been part of the holiday season,
