This Green Line rider gets worried whenever he hears the
word service changes.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I need to take the train to go to work,
so when the trains are running, I have to uber
and that really hurts my wallet.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
But the teas as the goal of its new Green
Line train protection system is to improve service speed long term.
It includes new safety equipment that can monitor drivers speeds,
alert them about nearby trolleys, and even stop the trains automatically.
It's all part of a plan to curb collisions and speeding.
In the end, the service changes will lead to about
two percent less service for the summer, and that's something
these riders are okay with.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Two percent for more safety down the road. That seems
like an all right trade.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Off to me.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
I think it's totally worth it if it's a safety issue.
Of course, we always want our transportation safe.
