My editors apparently have it out for me. They said
I had to loosen up, so they sent me to
clown school. There was a surprising lack of big rubber
shoes and face paint.

Though they hear clown, they think like Ronald McDonald Circus clown,
or they think of like horror movie like what we're
doing here today is definitely neither of those things.

This is an eight week, four hundred dollars class run
by Gemma Souldantie out of the rock Well in Somerville.
It's about pushing people to be silly outside of their
comfort zone.

Like sort of ridiculousness, and learning about failure.

That can mean making people lip sync without knowing the words,
or this exercise where we all ought to walk around
the room and pass each other without smiling or laughing.
