Somerville's latest twenty twenty five Happiness survey shows residents are
feeling pretty good about life in their city. Nearly fourteen
hundred people answered the survey this past spring. They got
to weigh in on everything from neighborhood safety to youth programs. Overall,
people say they feel safe, they like their parks and
public spaces, and are highly satisfied with the quality of

city services and Somerville's community events, voting, information, arts scene,
and the city's restaurants and shops all got high marks.
But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Residents say that
the city could step up street and sidewalk maintenance, they
could do more to tackle rats and mice, and make
housing more affordable. The survey first launched back in twenty eleven.
