In this special bonus episode of Wylie Football Weekly, the only podcast dedicated to the Wylie Pirates Varsity Football Team...
We introduce the new website for the show, wyliefootballweekly.com! It simply redirects to the show's webpage for the host of the show (podomatic), but that still counts! Now you can tell anyone who wants to listen to simply go to wyliefootballweekly.com and access the show. The site also has links to listen on Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music if you prefer to listen that way. (The show is still on a number of platforms, including Spotify, Deezer, Audacy, and iHeartradio!)
We also talk about some of the schedule dates we know about for Wylie's 2025 season. Wylie has not announced its full schedule, but here are some of the dates and times we know about from other schools that have announced their full schedule:
Week 1 @ JJ Pearce Fri Aug 29, 7pm at Mustang Eagle Stadium
Week 2 Home vs. Flower Mound, Fri Sept 5
Week 4 Home vs Sachse Fri Sept 19
Week 10 Wylie home against Wylie East (CIVIL WAR game) Fri Nov 7
Thought that information might be useful to those planning for this fall!
The Spring Football game is reportedly set for May 8, and hopefully the school/team will provide more information as we get closer to that date. I encourage all Pirate fans to attend and see their first in-person glimpse of the 2025 team.
Enjoy the offseason and we will be back in August to kick off the FOURTH season of Wylie Football Weekly! AHMO!!!!!

Ruthie's Table 4
For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
