Speaker 1 (00:00):
See you one hundred. Thank you for joining us. I

(00:02):
like the bonus hour. It's it's like our private little party.
It's like we're up in the tree house and every
once in a while we'll let the letter ladder down
and some interesting creature will crawl up. And today's interesting
creature who's invading our treehouse is the one and only
Anthony Ramos. Good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning.
Come on up the treehouse. Pull the letter up behind you.

(00:24):
We don't want anyone else in here but you, Okay,
I just don't take the ladder while I'm climbing it. Bro.
You know, well, there's so many reasons to enjoy the
fact that Anthony Ramos has joined us in the treehouse. Uh.
First of all, tonight you're performing at our stay at
home ball Uh. And I gotta be honest. One of

(00:45):
the things I love most about this is we get
to watch our favorite artists perform in little private areas.
Are you in the bathroom tonight? Where are we gonna
see you? Seeing it? Upstairs? This is like my upstairs
little cave that I built. Uh build like a little
studio space here. Uh. You know I used to have

(01:05):
the I got the dog cage here, So it's a
little bit of a mess. So I'm just gonna you know,
but it's okay, you know, we get work done. So
I did it up here. You know, I thought maybe
you'd be singing from Anti's basement, but you know, just no, no,
no social distance, and I can't go to Autice house
right now, so I can't do it. That's right. I
saw you in one of your posts, because you've been

(01:26):
posting some interesting stuff, by the way, and we're always
stalking you, Anthony. You were, actually, but I guess you
had to come up with your own studio space. You're
actually recording under a comforter, like you put a blanket
over your head. Yeah no, why did you do that
to like to did you do that to get rid
of all the other sound or what? What did you do?

(01:46):
I mean, yeah, it was that's a blanket right there.
But I'm getting isolation device today, hopefully in the middle,
but um no, because it's just a lot of sound.
I got two dogs, I got, you know, my my fiance.
You know, there's there's people in this house and uh
you know, you know, she likes to watch Rupole's Drag
Race and the dogs like to fight with each other,

(02:08):
and uh, you know, there's a lot of things going
on and I'm just trying to cut a little vocal,
little background, a couple o lost and you just can't
do it. You get you know what's gonna be funny?
Can you indu walking into a room and all you
see is some guy we're wearing a blanket over his
head and singing like, have you lost your freaking mind?
What are you doing over there? We call it, we

(02:32):
call it a hundred threat cow Studios. Okay, hey, but
you know what, you know what Anthony, Now that now
that you got the album going and we love all
your music and you'r we've we've seen you on your
tour and everything. But look back at those days when
you first started and you had to be creative. You
had just like, well, how can we make this happen?

(02:52):
I'll put a blanket over my head. You're back to it.
We're all doing these jobs that we used to do
because we have to cut it back, you know. Yeah,
I mean it looks a bit. To be honest, I
kind of I'm kind of grateful that that, um, that
I'm in this position right now where I kind of
for me personally that I'm like, you know, there there
are a lot of things that, um are definitely difficult

(03:13):
about the situation and um, you know a lot of
obvious things right um worldwide I mean period like in
your in your communities. But I think for me personally,
this this time has taught me how to kind of
like step back and and um and be a student.
You know, I don't think I have to stop being
a student, but like I'm really like learning. I'm taking

(03:33):
courses on how to use logic, which is you know,
the recording uh uh, it's the application, the thing, the program.
You're using a computer to record vocals and record you know,
since or whatever, right to record music. And I'm learning
how to use it. My boy Will, who you guys
met when I came in the first time. Will is
teaching me. He's getting me courses every day in the

(03:55):
morning on how to use it, how to engineer, how
to like do it myself. This studio probably wouldn't be
here if this, you know, if this, if I hadn't,
if I wouldn't if I wasn't in this position, like
you know, so I think, Um, you know, there are
a lot of there are a lot of you know,
I missed the convenience of going to my studio. You know,
my actual recording studio that you know is in Brooklyn,

(04:19):
but I can't go right now. But I think this
time has really been a blessing because I'm just learning
a lot of things that I probably wouldn't have taken
the time to learn had had I not been in
this position. So but that's cool though it's learning. We're
all learning new things. I mean, Scary over here learned
how to make an omelet the other day. Slow Anthony

(04:39):
and love. But you know, if you're just turning us on,
Anthony Ramos is with us. He's performing at our stay
at home ball tonight. You know we're telling everyone this.
We wanted to call it to sit on your ass ball.
You said, it's not like we could change that. Hey,

(05:01):
So let's talk about in the heights. I mean, of course,
when it was on Broadway, it was just it was
a sensational experience to be able to sit in the
audience and watch it. But in movie for him and
when with you as a part of this incredible cast
with an incredible score. Uh, talk about what you know
so far, what you've done so far, even though it's
not coming up for another year. Um, what I've done
so far? Uh in the movie with the movie, Yeah, yeah,

(05:25):
you guys have already shot some stuff. Yeah. I mean
it's done, you know, and it's it was. It was
really cool, like you know, just going back in and
doing a d R and like actually watching it. And
I saw the movie so um, I sat with my
director and my co star Melissa Borera, and we just
sat in the editing room and watched it and I
cried like five times. Man. I was like I counted

(05:46):
for real. I was like, damg, I'm trying again. That's four.
I was like, oh, this is this the fifth one
is coming, you know, and it was like it was
just moving, um because I just I just remember what
the movie felt like shooting it, and I remember I
remember we shot this one massive scene that should never
had had, you know, like on paper, no one should

(06:07):
ever be able to shoot this much and this big
of a scene in one day, and we did. I
just felt God, you know, like a greater power was
with us as we were shooting this movie the whole time.
Like there were so many things that we did during
this shoot that problem that you know theoretically should shouldn't
be possible, right, Like, how how are you going to

(06:27):
shoot a big number with like sixty five dancers in
the alley, a huge musical number and one day and
we didn't and we got all our shots in that
day without having to go over time. I was that
was my favorite day. Look at the caliber of people
you were working with and when they were working with you.
I mean, when you're working with like caliber people like
that it had you can do it in a day,

(06:49):
and then it worked. I can't wait to see it.
And even though it is pushed off until June, I
will be there. I will be first in line to
go see it. Yeah, gandhi, you have a question for
Anthony Ramos. Well, with all of this time that we
have now, you guys can maybe edit some scenes, maybe reshoot.
Can we be in the movie? Why not? You have

(07:09):
a year to work it out. Let me said, let
me let me send Lenda John of text Hold up,
you know I don't think that's asking for too much.
Yeah get get dad, yelled in the bodega. Yeah no, Hey,
you know what was so great is watching John Krasinski

(07:32):
get everyone together to do the reunion for Hamilton's I know,
but it's like, wow, if someone has the power to
make that reunion happy happened, they probably have the same
power to have us all killed. I mean happy. That's
instance heavy duty stuff. I mean, did it feel good?
Did it feel good to be able to come together
for that, for that incredible moment. It was great because

(07:53):
I hadn't seen everybody in so long. I haven't seen
the cast, and you know, I mean we have we
haven't been together. I mean we weren't together physically, but
we were together virtually, like we hadn't seen each other
everyone's face and like for years. Um, so you know,
and I thought, I for sure thought I was like, oh,
the next time we're all going to see each other

(08:13):
as the Hamilton movie, which is next year as well.
So it's like it's crazy that. Um it was just
really cool that John uh and Land and everybody brought
us together to do that. And I got so many
texts from family members people like yo, man, thank you
so much. That video was so cool. Like that just
that really made my day. That made my week, And
like you just never know, you just never know what's

(08:35):
gonna like give somebody joy and like you know, because
for us, it was just like, all right, yeah, let's
do this, no video or whatever, let's sing this song.
Let's figure out how to do this without having late.
See you know what I'm saying, right, We figured out that, yeah,
we have latency because we're all over the country sitting
in our basement and in our guest bedrooms. But we
figured out we also had latency when we're in the

(08:55):
same room together, like you know what, one thing before
before we play some music and we let you go
because I know you want to get ready for tonight's concert. Uh.
Look at all of the talent coming out of your
high school. Uh, and I mean in your community and Brooklyn,
I mean very very proud of you, you know. Uh,
talk about that and what are your thoughts as you

(09:17):
see what's happening as far as all of our local
talent here in New York. I mean, I'm just grateful
that you know that New York is I mean, New
York is always alive. But it's alive people are you know.
One perfect example was a friend of mine, Larry Gashi,
who goes by the name of Gashi. Another artist, amazing artists.

(09:38):
He um, he's just blown up in the last you
know year, two years. I mean the dude's been putting
and worked for for almost ten years, you know what
I'm saying, if not ten years, and now he's you know,
he's he's doing music with DJ Snake, all types of
artists you know, uh, Chris Brown, kind of massive artists,
right and like this dude worked so hard and uh

(10:00):
and it's just it's just amazing to see like peers
and like even like one of my boys, Tony is
an anchor on the news, like stuff like that. You know.
I just I just love people from New York really
like embracing the beauty of this city, embracing like everything
the city has to offer, and really getting out there,
you know what I'm saying, Like we have everything out
our fingers. This we could you know, we could see
shows if it's not on Broadway, Like sometimes you can

(10:22):
just see a free play or something for five dollars,
ten dollars. That might not be Broadway, but it's still something,
something to get you inspired, something to get you motivated,
get you up, you know what I'm saying. Um, you
can we can listen to music, see music. You know,
they're there's they're all types of places that Arley's Grocery,
just spots that you could just go and see live music.
So I just I'm so grateful that I'm from New

(10:44):
York too. Man, I'll probably be from here and you know,
and um and be a part of this movement, the
stir of New Yorkers like in the game, doing music,
doing movies, doing all of this, you know, hopefully, Um,
you know, just make dope art, you know what I'm saying, right,
and you're doing it, and you know why we couldn't
be more proud of you. Uh, Anthony Rahma was performing
at our Stay at Home ball tonight, and of course

(11:06):
he's he has recording sessions under his blankets from time
to time, and uh, yeah, that's cool. You don't need
to go to one of those multibillion dollar studios anymore.
You've got a freaking blanket from Target you can get
under your fine. I just cut I just cut final
vocals right here underneath that blanket for my next song
that I'm putting out. So when when you listen to

(11:27):
that song, think about me cut vocals for that joint
underneath from quilt. Okay, all right, I love hey, Anthony,
thank you so much for your time, and I can't
wait to see you in the heights next show. I
can't wait to see you on a stage again. I mean,
if I have to stay that album, your album, honestly
is one of them. You know how much I love

(11:48):
your album? Might tell you all the time, but from
start to finish, I enjoy that album more than I've
ever enjoyed an album from start to finish, and I
can't tell you how long. So and if you don't
have it, you need to get it. So the good
and the bad, it's really good. Now you're the from
the Bronx. You tell them, tell them what they are.
If they don't have Anthony Romos's album, go ahead, tell them, Hey,

(12:08):
a bunch of ass wipes, get out. You're an ass white.
Don't bid buy his album? Alright, Anthony, we love you man,
Thank you so much for being a part of our
Stay at Home ball tonight. It's an honor to have
you on our show. And we'll see you on a
stage or in a movie theater sometime soon. Man, don't
be a stranger, Okay, alright, I love you guys, man,

(12:29):
peace out, Love you too. Makes some music. Here's Anthony cooking.
When you looking like a fire. I will go with
it as with the way to Oh boy, my head

(12:49):
a right away? What muna? Okay, you can see what
you cooking up in the I want to be chiding less.
Feel you feeling better than you did before. I'm taking
it serious, a little more thing with it, emotion no physic,

(13:10):
going so much more sprien we may get love, be love,
we take it deeper. Mind over madd here. When we
may get love, be love, it's like a healer, mind
over madder, and I don't matter. Put the pillow where
you want to, just a cause we gotta pause it

(13:31):
for a little breather because when you come here, you
can explore your body. Make me which she was a
mind reader. Yeah, I'm going hard. Don't tech you smart.
You know I'm gonna find the loose surprises because when
we may get love relve, we take it deep. We
take it deep, mind over madd here. When we may

(13:55):
get love, be love, I can heller mind over madda.
Below blow, we're making low blow real, below relow, we're
making low blow real. You got that good good deep

(14:19):

making lou sing along Danielle sounding good. That is, of course,

(15:10):

our Stay at Home Ball. It kicks off at eight

(15:32):

Oh hie. We're trying to get Uncle Johnny on the
phone here. Uh, let's see if I can do this
is fabulous. Hey, can you straight Nate? Can you call
Uncle Johnny from the hot line real quick? All right?
This is the only way we can get it done.
The last five minutes have been the greatest part of

(15:53):
my old day. Yeah, we've been, we've been. We've been
trying to hook Uncle Johnny up to the Zoom room
for over five minutes, and it's just been It's okay,
we'll get him on the phone. Technology is not his friend. Wait,
and then Brody is trying to text Uncle Johnny and
Uncle Johnny's not responding, So Brodie's getting frustrated. But he's

(16:15):
not responding because of his heats and doing something else.
Brodie tell Brodie that that we okay. Johnny tell Brody
that we yeah, we have Uncle Johnny. Hello, Uncle Johnny. Waity,
I got it from Brody? You got what from Brody?
I got what he sent me. Uh, I'm technically challenged.

(16:38):
You know. It's okay, Johnny, this phone, you know, I'll
tell you what. Here's the great thing about the phone.
The phone has been operating for hundreds of years and
it's still works, and it's it's still perfect for our
time with you, and we're so happy to have you
here and see hundred Uncle Johnny. We love you well,
I thank you. I love you guys. So I was
trying to get Froggy's thing, but I couldn't. I'm sorry, no, no, no, no,

(16:59):
it's okay. We have you the all the manage. But wait,
can you connect Brody to this line because we have
a we have an issue. Hey Brody, So he got
he got the he got the knock knock jokes, but
you didn't have a chance to prep him and like,
so I got him. I'm going I going through them right. Oh,
I'm glad because he didn't respond to my email and

(17:19):
he ignored three text messages. So God bless you go
get them. Okay, thank you, We'll be fine, Okay, thank you.
All right, So Uncle Johnny, is it time for Uncle
Johnny's not knock jokes? Sure it is, of course it
is scary. Don't you have music for Uncle Johnny's. Sure,
here we go. He's worrying away. Sign, here we go.

(17:47):
I don't have to worry about my hair growing here either,
because I just put it on and that that doesn't grow.
So I'm doing fine. Okay, good Uncle Johnny? Is good
to your great spirit? Not knock? Who's there? Ken? You?
Can you can you get the door dash to deliver

(18:08):

Great job prepping him, Brody, he did a great job.

Down the stairs and says mom, what the hell is
going on us? Why? That is exactly what my boyfriend
just said. He said, what the hell is going on here?
They don't listen to the show. It's none of their business.

(23:47):
This is our exclusive content for people who listen to
our Z one hundred Bonus hour. All right, let's get
into the three things you need to know from Gandhi. Gandhi,
what's going on? Some interesting stuff. We have early test
results from the first round of these antibodies US that
they're handing out in New York. Three thousand tests were
administered throughout the state to get so called snapshots of
the infection rate and as far as the breakdown by

(24:08):
region goes. I don't think this is surprising to anyone,
but New York has the highest infection rate, with about
twenty one, which makes one out of five people in
New York having been exposed to the virus at some point. Now,
these numbers don't mean that you actually got sick. It
just means that at some point the virus was in
your body and your body created the antibody for it.
Speaking of infection rates, seven more big cats have tested

(24:30):
positive for the coronavirus at the Bronx Zoo. That brings
the total to three lions and five tigers. Zoo officials
think that the cats got infected by an asymptomatic worker
and they're doing everything that they can to keep more
animals from getting sick. But on a brighter note, all
of this seems to be heading to the road of
recovery for the cats, so that's good. And finally, last

(24:50):
night was the NFL Draft. It was the first time
it was virtual. Elvis also says it was the first
time he watched it because Joe Burrow went first, and
he loves him. You are such a school fan. Now,
the number four pick went to the Giants, who selected
offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, and the Jets got the eleventh
pick with offensive tackle McKay Beckton. And those are your

(25:11):
three things. Thank you, Gandhi, Daniel. What do you have
coming up in your report? Oh my gosh, I'm gonna
tell you about this amazing show called the Stay at
Home Ball that's going on to night. What I got
all the details for you coming? All right? Yeah, we
need to know more about that. Who's that Harry Beast
on the couch next to Gandhi? Oh, that's a my
friend s h Hey, Harry Beast, Harry Sweat. He's wearing sweatshirt. Oh,

(25:36):
I love that. He's a Harry mofo. All right, we
gotta take a break. We'll be back with the Z
one hundred Bonus Hour next follow at Elvis Durrant Show,
What God See hundred Flattening the Curve, the Curve. You're
listening to a bonus hour of Elvis Durand and the
Z one Morning Show. Here's Elvis See and hundreds of

(26:00):
the Bonus Hour Friday. Tonight's our night, It's your night.
It's everyone tonight. It's the of course, Z one hundred
Elvis Durand Morning Show Stay at Home Ball. It kicks
off at eight o'clock on the Elvis Durand Show channel
on YouTube. This is gonna be great. We've already heard
some of the performances. I just to let you know
we were actually sneaking intoto the artists houses. I think

(26:21):
it's awesome how we do that, plus special guests, surprises,
all sorts of stuff tonight. So make sure you're watching
starting at eight o'clock. Danielle, you know what your top
story should be. What are you doing petting your puss?
I drop a piece of paper on the floor. Shut
up anyway? Okay, you have two cats running around. It's
like they get more attention than we do. Yes, they

(26:42):
shed their cats. Danielle go, yes, so yeah, So, like
you said, Stay at Homeball. Charlie Pool with Anthony Rolmos
Making trainer, Louis Capaldi, Bryce Vine Kesha, Thomas red Sofia Carson,
They're all gonna be there. The hashtag we want you
to use his hashtag Elvis Stay at Home Ball so
you can follow along. And Project Cure is getting all
of our all of your donations. And it's eight o'clock

(27:03):
on the our YouTube channel, Get A Get A pizza.
That's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna order pizza, get
a nice bottle of wine out and relax on the
couch and watch it with the family. So that'll be good.
NBC has announced that the cast of its iconic sitcom
Parks and Wreck will reunite for half an hour scripted
special airing on October on April uh to help COVID

(27:23):
nineteen obviously, and all of the original cast members will
be there, so that is gonna be a lot of
fun for Parks and Wreck fans. So Tiger King, one
of the juror members, is slamming the Netflix special, saying
that it portrayed him in the wrong way. It made
him look like a victim. The jurors identified as Kristen Yeah,

(27:45):
and she said, look, it didn't capture the whole story.
They made him look like a victim. It wasn't even
the same story that we heard. He She said, it
did a huge injustice to the jury because now people
think that we convicted him based on absolutely nothing, and
that's not the case. He's serving a twenty two years
sentence for a reason. That's what she said. So I

(28:05):
think there's a lot of stuff that we do not
know arguing about him going to jail, are they? I mean, yeah,
I think yeah, if we get Carol Baskin taken out
before she takes out another person, every one of them
met me in jail. And years ago, Chris Hemsworth met
Brad Pitt on the set of a movie and he

(28:28):
was so starstruck he didn't know what to do. So
Brad was reaching out for a handshake and Chris went
in for the big hug, but Brad was okay with it. Dude,
if Chris Hemswork goes in for anything, every anybody's gonna
be okay with it, or at least most people are
gonna be okay with it. I don't know about you,
but anyway, yeah, damn, oh my gosh. Um and Tomorrow

(28:52):
Night SNL will be the second Stay at Home episode.
They're going to be live, and don't forget that, Um Sunday,
you have a brand new American IDOL and that's gonna
be live as well. So that's gonna be interesting because
they're gonna be from twenty five different locations, so that
I mean, I thought we were from a lot of
different locations. Twenty five different locations, that's a lot, and
that is my Danielle report. Well, you know, let me

(29:14):
tell you our stay at home ball tonight. We're from
fifty different locations, so that's a lot. That's fun. I'm
so excited. Hey, did daniel You know, don't drink too
much at the beginning because this is a long show tonight.
We need you to be able to stand up. How
long is it? Do we know how long it is?
We know not it's long, but you know, not too long.
It'll go by lightning speed. You'll love it. And by
the way, you made fun of me for talking about

(29:35):
that documentary on Netflix called Circus of Books. I watched
the whole thing yesterday. I loved it. I thought it
was great. It was pretty cool. These people are great.
What do you guys are gonna watch this weekend? Anything good?
What are you watching? The Beastie Boys comes to at
plus Apple TV plus today and I'm all about how

(29:57):
to Secure h Insecure HBO, Froggy, what are you watching
this weekend? I'll be watching the NFL Draft tonight and
the Elvis Duran Sit on your ass ball and then
I'll find things to watch on Saturday. Oh, don't forget
Sunday night, we get two new episodes of the Jordan documentary,
episodes three and four, nine o'clock ESPN Last night dance Right, Hey,

(30:20):
straight Nate, what are you watching this weekend? I actually
started watching the the Chicago Bulls documentary because of Froggy.
It's amazing. Yeah, all right. And by the way, you know,
at the NFL Draft last night, we we got uh
two guys, one for the Giants and the guy for
the Jets. Uh. The offensive tackle Andrew Thomas for the

(30:45):
Giants wage three d and fifteen pounds. I cannot say what.
He's six ft five pounds right. And the guy number
eleven picked for the Jets. I don't want to mess
up his name. It's McKay Beckton. He weighs three hundred
and sixty four pounds six ft seven. These guys are massive.

(31:10):
We're just kind of wondering, like when they go to
the bathroom, like what I got and you know that
they're sea crackers. No, I mean they're gonna have to
like use the bath too. Been a cement mixer. I mean,
nothing else can handle it other than that. Anyway, they
they won't take a number two. They'll take a number
twenty two. I mean it's a lot, but you know what,

(31:32):
I think, we got a couple of great, great guys
coming to our New York teams. All right as we
get out of here, don't forget eight o'clock tonight, they
stay at home. Ball on the Elvis Drain Show YouTube
channel perfect. Uh, scary, you picked today's goodbye song? What
do you want to hear? I want to take it
back to Brooklyn. We gotta do some biggie. What's the play?

blowing up like I thought I would call the crypt
saint number saying, but it's all good ship. And if
you don't, don't you know you know? I made the

(33:18):
change from my common thief to up close and personal
with dropping leech and the fall from Chief, my smoke shop,
with my peeps all days brand love. It's the Brooklyn way,
the mob way and Alisa keep me pissy. Girls used
to miss me not in right now it's because they
missed me. I never thought they could have been this
wrapping stuff. I was to use the packing cats and stuff.
Now honeys play me closs like but the play coat

(33:41):
from the Mississippi down to the East Coast condos. The
queens in dope for weeks, so Lout seeks to hear
Biggie Small speak, living like without fail, putting five carats
and my baby girls here. Munches runches introduced by the
fool considered the fool because I dropped out of high
school stiring your types of a black Ma'm misunderstood. And

(34:02):
it's still all good. And if you don't know that
it's old, it's old. Super nintend don't say of Genesis.

(34:30):
When I was that drope band, I couldn't picture this.
Put the in scream money green leather sofa, got to
ride in the mausine with the show what vocal about?
Two jeez black, don't need to worry my account, the
handle sat and my whole cruise lounge celebrating every day,
no more public housing, thinking back for my one roof shot.
Now my mom pimps at with mixed on her back,

(34:52):

every time I face this up in the source, we
used to fuss win the lad lord. This stuff snow heat.
Wonder what Christmas miss stuff? Birthdays was the worst days.
Now we sipped champagne when we thirst day dam right.
I like the life lifting at the positive and song.

(35:14):
And if you don't know not you know, you know
it's no. And if you don't know, now you're don't
you know you know? And if you don't know your gold,

(35:36):
