Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time to go around the room with Elvis Duran
in the Morning show.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Al you are my hero.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
I love you well. Do everything you can to be
more like me. Nateie, you'll have a fabulous l Thank you. Danielle.
All right, let's go down the road. I'm gonna start
with Froggy. What's on your mind today? We want to
know so you guys know him on this sugar break.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
I'm getting close to day one hundred and fifty.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Oh that's awesome. Hey, give us the rules of the
sugar break.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
So no processed sugar, no cookie, no candy, no like
sweet breads, no cakes, no, none of that stuff. So
it's a natural sugar that's in. Like fruits. I'll eat that,
no problem. I'll eat a fruit all day. However, I
will not Okay you know what I mean. But no,
no like processed candies, rain fruits.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
We say thank you. So how do you feel? How
do you feel different after one hundred days of no
no sugar?

Speaker 3 (00:55):
I don't feel as lethargic all the time, and I
have lost weight. It's a it's a byproduct of doing it.
I've lost about fifteen pounds, but I don't feel as lethargic.
So with Halloween coming, some friends of ours went by
Costco the other day and they bought a giant bag
of candy. They've been keeping it at their house and
I kept saying, just hang on till until October. October
first was yesterday. They showed up with it yesterday. It's

(01:18):
still here. I left it on the counter that it's
so weird. In the past, I would never have been
able to have this bag of candy on the counter
without eating it. I walk by it. It doesn't bother
me one day. Kick the habit of having to have it,
and it's out of your body. It really is so
easier just not eating any way.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
What about candy corn? You love candy corn.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
I don't know what I'm going to do. Here's the thing.
I ate so much sugar, as you guys know that,
I'm afraid to do it again because I'm afraid it's
going to be like crack and I'm just going to
like die.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
It by being again. They're saying it is addictive. All right,
congratulations for all.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Hey Danielle, what's up with you?

Speaker 5 (01:52):
So? I just want to talk about where I will
be today.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
I'm actually very excited. I am going over to Hackensack
University Medical Center in New Jersey and we're kicking off
Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So I always do this every
single year. They do a really cool like kickoff party.
Everything is pink and there's cupcakes and you get to
talk to survivors and I know that they have all
kinds of raffles and stuff that you can buy. You

(02:16):
can set up your mammogram appointment. It's thirty Prospect Avenue
and Hackensack, New Jersey. I'll be there from eleven to one,
but it's going on from eight to two. The Stella
who I tell you guys about who does my mammograms,
is going to be there. Our friend Michelle who works there.
So many cool people. So come and say hi today
Hackensack University Medical Center and kicking off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Daniel's there every single year. Yeah, so cool. Thank you,
Danielle Straight and eight what's up?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:42):
You know Gandhi's not just another pretty face. She sometimes
has things that you can use in information. I used
the trail link gap.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
I went hiking this past weekend and it was a
lot of it. It was a beautiful day yesterday, I said,
you know what, I got to get out of the house.
I gotta take a walk. Where am I going to go?
I open up the trail link gap and I went
and it was such a great time to get out
and try something new. So thank you, Gandhi.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Oh you're welcome. Somebody you like appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
And I love that you're more than just a pretty face.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Yes, I appreciate. I appreciate being I'll take it.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Hey, brducer, Sam, what's up?

Speaker 6 (03:14):
Is anyone else like me? And if you get caught
napping you're embarrassed and you like lie about it?

Speaker 2 (03:19):
It's me, what do you?

Speaker 6 (03:20):
What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Like? Do you if you entered the phone like and
they're like, oh did I wake you up? Right?

Speaker 6 (03:25):
And you're like no, no, no, no, like there's anything
to be embarrassed about.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
My ANSWER's always it's okay. I had to get up
to enter the phone anyway.

Speaker 6 (03:32):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
I like that.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
I like that.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
I always lie about falling asleep. Don't know why. And
I screwed myself this weekend because I fell asleep on
William's lap watching a show and I guess he picked
up on it because when it was over, he goes,
did you fall asleep?

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Which woke me up?

Speaker 6 (03:44):
And I'm like, no, I saw the whole thing, and
he goes, okay, good, can you believe Blank died? And
I got so upset because I was gonna go back
and watch it while he was at work, and I
screwed it up and I didn't even admit it.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Why do we do that? Are we afraid to admit
that we sleep?

Speaker 5 (04:02):
Because well because one the way he asked you, did
you fall asleep? People are the sleep police. If they
catch you falling asleep, they just give you crap about
it for no reasons. There is a sleep police officer.
And if she even sees you like kind of you
and she's like, you're tired, go to bed, I'm like, oh, that's.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
Him too, all right, I feel a little bit better.
But yeah, I shot myself in the foot, and now
I know so and so died, even though I have
to go and catch up on the episode.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Never never kind of curious who it was. Don't tell us, Hey,
how scary? What's up? Yeah, don't sports shame me.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Just because you're a team of one, you're you're you're
a fan of one team doesn't mean you can't go
to their rivals games. I'm a huge Giants fan. I
was seen at the Jets game last night.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
But you didn't go to see the game. You went
to see Taylor Swift.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Okay, that's besides the point. Okay, I could be in
the stadium. I'm not a Jet hater. I'm you know,
I'm but I was rooting for the Jets. Not they
can care about the outcome, not too much. But I
was there and I was invited by Keanu from our
building security.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
By the way, who is shaming you? Who's shaming?

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Friends and some listeners because I posted any stories?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Is anyone of this room shamed? I posted?

Speaker 2 (05:10):
See but I posted a story and people like, what
are you doing at the Jets game? You're a Giants fan.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
You can go and enjoy the sport of football in
absolutely you can. Okay, I'm on your side of list.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I appreciate you.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
And happy birthday Kiana from Building Security. There you go,
uh Gandhi, we land on you. What's going on?

Speaker 5 (05:27):
All right? I just wanted to give a big shout
out to my boyfriend because I love him and he learned, Yes,
I love you, Brandon. He learned how to speak my
love language, which is acts of service, which actually sounds
terrible when you say it out loud. But I fell
asleep the other day straight out of the shower, like
in my bathrobe, and everything woke up in the morning
to everything in my apartment being done. There was stuff

(05:48):
that needed to be put together. He finished it. He
cleaned up the art room, he put away all the canvases,
he stacked everything. I was like, it's like a habit
came here, a good egg he is. Yeah, So I
just want to tell him I love him and thank
you very much.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
That was great. I love that We're going to get
to see him at the Chef's dinner, Oh Chef for
Kids Cancer dinner tomorrow. Well we're celebrating the two of
you because you are donating, graciously donating one of your
pieces of art to be auctioned off to raise money.
I think that's so hot.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
Well, thank you, it's we love it. It's so fun
and if we can do something good, even better.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Let's get into the three things we need to know
from Gandhi. You're here and you're not just another pretty face.
According to Nate take it. What's going on Gandhi.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
All right, Apple is working to fix overheating issues in
the brand new iPhone fifteen. Froggy, have you encountered this?

Speaker 3 (06:41):
I actually have not. No, I've seen this story, but
I haven't had that yet.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
Well, the newest phone has been out for less than
a week. Actually, it was out for less than a
week before users began reporting that their cell phones were
overheating when being used for pretty basic functions. On Saturday,
Apple announced it identified several issues that could be causing
the overheating, including a bug in the IOA seventeen software
that should be fixed with an update. The company also
said some third party apps might cause the phone system

(07:06):
to overload. Apple claims the issue is not a safety
risk and it will not impact the phone's long term performance.
We'll see about that. A couple is suing Walt Disney
World in connection to an injury she reportedly received while
at one of its water parks. The lawsuit claims the
woman was sent to the hospital after riding a two
hundred foot slide at Typhoon Lagoon back in twenty nineteen.

(07:29):
The filing says she was seriously injured from a painful
and severe wedgie caused by the ride. She's accusing Yeah,
I cannot even imagine. She's accusing Orange County and Disney
of negligence. She's suing for more than fifty thousand dollars
in damages. And finally, inflation is having an impact pretty
much everywhere, and the Girl Scout cookies this year are

(07:51):
going to be more expensive than they have been in
years past. The Girl Scout's Heart of the Hudson Troops
sent out an email to parents saying this year it's
going to be six dollars or some box instead of
five from last year. Apparently this is because of the
rise in production of material costs. And the Scout Cookie
season starts in January, so I guess starts saving off.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
I don't know, it's going up a whole dollar.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
And those are your three things.
