in the Morning show, go around.

Speaker 2 (00:06):

for a little bit. Should we back, Daniel? What's on
your mind?

Speaker 3 (00:13):

Speaker 1 (00:13):
So let's start with the holidays. I'm kicking them off
this weekend. And I don't give a crap what anybody says,
but I feel like I told my husband, I was like,
this is what I want to do Friday night and
part of Saturday, because then we have plans. I want
to take out decorations. I want to get my holiday
outfits out. I want to order in dinner. I want
to watch the Jonas Brother's Christmas movie, decorate the tree,

(00:34):
put up the inside decorations. And he said, I'm all
for it. Let's do it.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Who's gonna give you help for doing that?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
I know a lot of people like it's too okay, Well, Daniel,
it's nice if it's doing for them great, not for you.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Right a low And I am ready for my cord
Over Street song because that is how I kick off
the holidays. When I hear that song, the Christmas Song
by cord Over Street, that's.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
When I'm we should probably get him on the phone
during the holiday. We should come on Cord.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
He's hanging around. We love Cord, all right, leave Daniel alone.
It's a very Jonas Christmas tonight. Let it brow let
it brow it bro Hey, Nate, what's up with you?

Speaker 4 (01:07):
I see now the America's top ten bucket list experiences
for twenty twenty six.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
Top ten. I've only done two and a half of them.
What are they?

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Starting at number ten and going to one? Visit Machu Picchu.
Haven't done it. Snorkel in the Great Barrier, reef, not
even close. Visit the Great Wall of China. Visit Victoria
Falls in Africa. Go whale watching, I've done that. Swim
in natural hot springs.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Nope. Go on Safari, you've done that?

Speaker 5 (01:31):
You?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Oh all right?

Speaker 4 (01:35):
Three and a half. Okay, look at that three and
a half. Thank you for reminding me. Go on to Safari.
Visit the Roman Coliseum.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Done that. Visit the Grand Canyon. Not yet.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
And I kind of saw the Northern Lights, which is
the number one See the Northern Lights the number one
thing Americans want to do next year? Is that your
list as well? No, not really, but it's just kind
of interesting. That's what everybody wants to do. And I
really haven't done.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Any of these things. I'm sure there's stuff you have
done this on that list. Absolutely, there you go.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Hey, this is one of the great wunders of the world. Hey, Scary.

Speaker 6 (02:09):
We always stress the importance of taking time to yourself
and reconnecting with old friends.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
And this Saturday tomorrow night, I'm.

Speaker 6 (02:16):
Doing a sleepover with my Brooklyn boys, my original old
school friends, and we're all going to be hanging out
over Cornwall on Hudson and we're gonna be going to
like breweries in the Hudson Valley, just hanging out together.
And I just want to thank the wives for all
for allowing and condoning and and supporting your husbands and
in having this weekend. Now me, you know, I got

(02:36):
my girlfriend, of course, but it's just exciting that we
all get to do this because some people are in
relationships I guess where they don't permit or that you know,
there's not that understanding.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
You know what I'm saying, they don't allow them to do.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
We do.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
We do understand what he's saying. Well, I'm just trying
to we speak Scary easy.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah, we understand, we understand no, no, no, you know
it is. Yes, some relationships aren't as loose as I
don't know me. If they encourage you to go do
these things, that means it's a great thing, or they're
cheating on you. Of course they do. They're cool because
they're cheating on them because because they're getting it.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
You know what I'm saying. All right, good, please go
out of town.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
That actually did happen to one of my friends.

Speaker 7 (03:22):
Not you're scary you, hey, Scott, you mean what's going on?
Well from the what you don't know won't hurt you file.
This morning, I was on the I was doing my
thing on the toilet whatever, and when I stood up,
I spun around and the roll that was sitting there
fell into the toilet bar. I couldn't at that point,
I couldn't grab it because it was submerged. So I

(03:43):
felt bad, and I looked around the office and I
found a ruler on somebody's desk, and I stuck it
in the thing, and I pulled it out and I
threw in the trash. I wiped the roll off and
put it back on their desk.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
So, wait, did you wash the ruler? Just just wiped
it with a towel to the paper towel. So this
ruler from someone's desk has your fecal matter on? I
wiped it. No, it's a duty ruler. Now there's going
to be duty. But hold on, hold on, whose desk
did you take it from? I don't know whose it was.

(04:13):
I don't know it was not this floor. I'll tell
you that. Oh, Scotty, anybody there.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Well, anybody who owns a ruler in our building throw
it out.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Who uses rulers?

Speaker 8 (04:23):
Scotty, You got to go by there today and ask
them to measure something. I'll ask him to measure something.
Can you measure the Can you measure.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
The link of your lips? Until you open your mouth?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
He still get your tongue? How long is your tongue?
Let's measure it with this clean ruler.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
I told you, people do stuff and you don't know.
It happens every day. But you're the part of the problem. Okay, okay,
moving on. This is just disgust me.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
What's wrong with you?

Speaker 3 (04:56):
All of you people at all? Hello, they're pretty sure
sandwich up with you?

Speaker 7 (05:00):
Hi?

Speaker 5 (05:00):
So I read a quote yesterday and it made me
reflect and I really enjoyed it. It said how lucky
am I that that didn't work out? And I feel
like when things aren't working out for us big things.
Maybe it's a new job, maybe it's a relationship. We're
kind of stuck in all of the negative that's happening
around that, which is totally reasonable. But when you take
some time it, I feel like all of us, most

(05:21):
of us have a blessing in something that didn't work
out that we really wanted and I just loved that.
So take a moment and think for yourself, how lucky
are you that one thing did not work out?

Speaker 6 (05:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
When your closes the door open, yep. And finally, my froggy, froggy,
what's on your mind today?

Speaker 8 (05:36):
So let me preface this story with we live in Florida. Okay, Okay,
here we go. So yesterday afternoon, I get a call
from Lisa. She's like, can you do me a favorite.
We go in my closet and take a picture of
the boots that are in there. I'm at DSW and
I'm going to get some more boots, but I just
don't want to buy some like I already have. I'm like, okay,
this is stupid. So you don't really want a specific

(05:58):
pair of boots. You just want to get boots that
aren't like the boots you have, exactly correct, It makes
no sense.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
It makes total sense what.

Speaker 8 (06:07):
To do living in Florida because we don't how many
days a week, how many days of the year do
we wear like high boots?

Speaker 3 (06:14):
Well women do?

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Yeah, and in your area it gets a little cooler.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Okay. My My point is.

Speaker 8 (06:21):
We bought shoes just because they don't look like some
we already have, because we actually wanted them.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
But she wanted a different kind of parents.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
You guys, you guys, you.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Were asking Elvis and.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Danielle mate, you agree with me? This is absolutely People
are speaking a foreign language.

Speaker 8 (06:41):
Here right right, So you can take a picture of
what I have, so I you can just buy something
that I.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Don't have any brown boots and I've got blue and green,
but and I just bought a white pair.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
And I'm sure when he would be on my side,
you guys suck.

Speaker 8 (06:55):
I'm not not this time. I'm on your side. I
love you, just not today. By the way, it took
me three pictures to get all the boots in one picture.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
You did it.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
You should say, hey, thank you for not wanting to
duplicate your boots and waste your money.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
How about that, I love you,

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
