Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the morning show.
Night is the night, It's Gandhi's aren't gallery opening? And
we do have our list of etiquette rules that we
need to follow. Okay, Unfortunately we're a bunch of crazy
orangutangs around here, and we have rules.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Rules.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
We got rules.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
I didn't even know about these rules, so please, well.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
I'm here to help. Thank you. We're trying to help.
Every time we have a gathering, I have to we
have to set everyone, send everyone down and go. Look,
let's keep it together people.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
I think my favorite thing is every time we are
together and Elvis is there, there's always the moment where
he's like, I'm never taking you people out ever again.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Yeah, why, I know. It's like have you ever left
the house and you live under a rock in a cave.
I'm ready for this party. Are you wondering one for
the table? Scary? Do you have whatever it is opening
for this Let's get to our rules right now. As
we get ready for the rules, we remind you. It
is food News Thursday. Froggy has his food News report come.
(01:00):
He says he has so much fantastic food news material
he doesn't know what to use?
Speaker 4 (01:06):
Right?
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Is it that difficult? Oh, there's just so much going
on with all the holiday items and offerings that are
out there. There really is a lot. Today Starbucks has
a really big deal going on. It's just there's a lot.
But we'll get through it all. Well, there you go.
Tonight is the night as we gather for an art
show opening in a real New York City gallery.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
So excited, shout up to in.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Yeah, yeah, Gandhi, We're so proud of you. But tonight
there will be rules. Number one, don't think you're only
at a party. Art exhibits allow you to socialize with
fellow artists, art enthusiasts, art collectors, and fans. There may
be food, there may be drink. Don't forget where you are.
And if you're a collector, you may be looking to purchase.
(01:48):
If you're a fan, you're there to appreciate the collection.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Don't just come to eat and drink.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
How do you know if it's like, is there a
dot on it?
Speaker 1 (01:55):
If it's purchased, Yeah, the purchase dot. So about that.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
We're having a hard time finding red dots. Apparently they're
all sold out, no joke. Scotti Bee so we're gonna
make a.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Little wait, what kind of joke? WHU Scotty Slo, what
are you saying? I don't know what she's talking about.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
A yeah, oh okay, anyway, but we're gonna use a
little marker instead because apparently they're sold out everywhere.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah, okay, well I plan on purchasing. You know me,
I'm a Gandhi collector. Next art show, etiquette, don't disrespect
the work, the artist, the gallery, any of it. Artists
and other artists. Art artists are other artists' greatest critics.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Absolutely, I told them already. If you see any other
artists are critiques, are art critiquers coming in? Please keep
them out.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Don't go.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
I just don't have the jead what they're going I
don't know what Gandhi was reaching for this right, Let's
see savior at social media for later, because it's going
to be crowded posing for photos in front of the
pieces of art.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Don't get caught up in that.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
My friends did the nicest thing ever. What they sent
me a photographer. They hired a photographer to come and
do things because they didn't want me to get carried away.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
To let the photographers do their photographers work them. Dress appropriately.
It's an art gallery in Manhattan, New York.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
No, you don't have to do that.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
You need you need to be wearing either flashy fun
colors to match the artwork or all black.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Yes, oh all black.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
I'm not doing all black. I'm doing a black and white.
I'm wholla, You're crazy. I'm supporting a very very colorful
black tonight. Respect the art. Keep a safe distance from
the artwork. These pieces have value.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yes, they do.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Manage your volume. It's gonna be a loud room. Let's
not scream and shout. Let's have adult conversations.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
I have a DJ coming.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
It's gonna be.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Danielle, no offense, but you you would be the offender.
Do not bring your own food and drink. You're right,
I would. You know when we go see a music
call on Broadway, she brings those candies that are loud
because it's expensive.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
I'm not paying that price.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
It's free tonight.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
I know.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
I'm good.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
When I was figuring out the food for tonight, because
you know everyone's going to get a chance to eat
my taco I specifically got food. Danielle, thank you, you're well.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Thank you. Uh by the way the space would be crowded,
as all successful art gallery openings are. Do not bring
large bags and backpacks. Yeah, who brings a backpack? Don't
do it to the art gallery, you know. I hope
you are svp'd. If you did not and we're not invited,
good luck. Don't be upset if you don't get in.
(04:37):
There will be a line.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Right, We're gonna try, but we can't promise.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
And there you go. Scary rules.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Well, this is starting to sound a little too stuffy
for even me. I thought we were gonna like just
here to be going to a social gathering. Yes, admiring
the art, maybe purchase if it's in my price range.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
But still, I just feel like there's a lot of rules.
There's a lot of like, you know, did you never
ever watch sex in the city when they go to
art gallery openings. I mean there's you could tell, there's
a certain pace, there's a certain rhythm.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
My only rule was really, please don't puke or throw
a taco at the art That's it.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Aside from that, let's have a good time.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
There you go, Okay, scratch all those rules. Thet's just
have a good time. I'm so excited yes, Nate. In
regards to the volume, is it a ear plug or
hearing aid kind of thing?
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (05:22):
For you? The way you can do both? Can you
one or the other.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Aid you want to talk to people hearing it?
Speaker 1 (05:29):
You'll be fine. You'll be fine. I'll be your your translator.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
This is gonna go well.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
And again I said this earlier. The fact that you
started this adventure during pandemic canvas with paint, what do
I do? And then now you've turned it into your
own art gallery opening, it blows my It blows my mind.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
I was driving in to work today, actually, I was
riding into work today and I was just looking around
and you know, we passed the Macy's windows, the Christmas windows,
and Radio City Music Hall, like you said, Rockefeller Center, yeah,
And I was like, this city is magical and it's amazing.
And if you would have told me even a year
ago that I would be able to have a gallery
opening in this city with my art, I would never
(06:09):
have believed you. And it's just amazing. I'm so lucky
to be here and be part of this and.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Just be doing all of this. I'm so excited, so cool,
and in quoting Gandhi and someone just texted texted this
in let's not forget everyone's going to get a chance
to eat my taco.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Everyone come tonight, eat my taco.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
That but okay, you know he doesn't really like that taco.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
What.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Okay, that's good talker. I mean we've all had it. Yeah,
I like the waffle one. What the waffle that's a
good one.
