You going out next Wednesday? Not a chance? Whoa too late?
I gotta work Thanksgiving morning, that's.

Speaker 6 (01:05):
Right, Yeah, sorry, Scotty.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Scotty you know what how many hours do you work
on Thanksgiving? Just four? But what about Christmas? I work
Christmas morning too, I know. But you used to do
like twenty three hours that you called it what we
had a name for it. It was the twenty four
hours of Christmas. But the most I ever worked was
twenty hours straight. No, the fact you did it because
you were the only Jewish guy on the staff. So
Christmas they call it. There's a name for it, like

(01:28):
the jew Crew or something. I don't remember what we
called it. But it was a lot of money. I'll
tell you that much. I know he worked like twenty
hours straight.

Speaker 8 (01:34):
I love it, he said, he likes doing it.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I wrote a TV dinner every year was perfect love.
There you go. Okay, so you won't be going on Wednesday?
Dive dive out.

Speaker 9 (01:44):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
It's one week from the biggest going out night of
the year. Are you going out one week from tonight?

Speaker 1 (01:49):

Speaker 8 (01:52):
Nate?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
What about you?

Speaker 10 (01:52):
Nate?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
What are you doing? A nice night in the bottle
of wine and a candle? Okay, just solo?

Speaker 6 (01:58):
Oh my god.

Speaker 11 (02:00):
Route It also means that it's one week away where
Santa comes down from the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and we
officially kick off the holiday season.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
That's right, Oh yeah, here we go. We got stuff
to do. We've got a busy week, a couple of
weeks ahead of us. Hey uh, this is probably one
of my favorite moments of the holiday season as far
as you know, playing the music Froggy Yeah and Sync.
Oh yeah, can you do it feeling Yeah, listen to

(02:34):
Froggy's version of Merry Christmas Holiday, Here.

Speaker 12 (02:39):
We Goliday, very Christmas, Merry Christmas, Christmas.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Boys saying, let's we're bringing back for the for the court.

Speaker 13 (03:02):
Can you feel it?

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Christmas? Happy acapella, agapella.

Speaker 13 (03:12):
Sing it, here we go Christmas, Merry Christmas, Happy day.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
What a gift that was. You're welcome. That was just awesome.
It's just awesome.

Speaker 14 (03:27):
We really need to make Elvis Duran in the Morning
Show ruins the Christmas album for charity Christmas.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
No, no, no, there was there was no ruining going on, Roggie.
There's no way you can anticipate it and just go
a little early. There you go, there he is, there's
our little rain cloud, rain clouds, rain cloud. That was
nothing but perfection. Yeah, thank you, Elvis, Max Martin. Max

(03:55):
Martin would do an entire album of that, you would would?
That was incredible. Yes, producer saying, my.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Favorite part that listeners can't see is his one little
arm dancing in the air.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Agree, he was raising raised on the roof. We love
your Froggy. That is I love you ten times more.
You know what, every family has the holiday traditions. That's
one of ours. Right, Hey, let's get on with the day.
Our first caller of the day is Sarah. Hey, Sarah,
Oh look at that a second grade teacher. We love
our teachers. What do you want to talk about?

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Sarah?

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Hi?

Speaker 15 (04:24):
Ovis hi? Everyone? How are you this morning?

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Great? Can't you tell what do you think of Froggy?
What do you think of Froggy singing and seeing Merry Christmas?
Happy all?

Speaker 15 (04:35):
I look forward to that every single year. I wait
for that, for him to thank you.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
I like you. I'm glad I could give you what
you wanted. Here's what we've got to think about, though, Sarah.
You know a lot of people are listening now, but
they'll be at work in an hour. They won't hear
the show. But there's people not listening now who aren't
even away. We need to do it again. Maybe every
hour today we'll do that. Oh God, so it.

Speaker 15 (04:55):
Should be like every thirty minutes.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
I would love that, God, But your phone we have
a bad connection. That is. That is what's called a
power rotation. I'll tell you what. Let's go ahead and
set a date. Let's set an appointment in two hours.
We'll do it again. Can we do it right around
around the room time? Okay, I'll warm up my pipes
and doing it. Oh no, they're warm enough, baby. So, Sarah,

(05:18):
you're a second grade teacher. Talk about it. How long
have you been a second grade teacher?

Speaker 15 (05:23):
So I've been a second grade teacher for the past
four years, but I've been teaching for fourteen so just
second grade for four years.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
So what made you leap to second grade? And where
were you previously?

Speaker 15 (05:34):
I taught actually kindergarten for ten years and then I
switched over to second because I'm the special ed teacher.
So I wanted to do something a little bit different,
and I think I found really what I love. So
that's why I switched over.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Love that love that nice. So is this it for life?
Are you a lifer in the school?

Speaker 15 (05:54):
I think I am. I don't know if I'm a
lifer in the classroom, but I definitely would like to
do maybe you know, pull the students out, work with
them one on one, but definitely something in education. I
definitely think this is what I'm supposed to do.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
What is it in your life past that made you
decide this is your passion, this is where you want
to go.

Speaker 15 (06:12):
You know, it's so funny. I was actually my kindergarten
teacher when I was in kindergarten. I always remember. I
remember her name, and I remember seeing her years later
while I was teaching. She came to pick up her granddaughter,
and it was just her classroom environment, the way she
was so sweet and the way she made me remember
even years later, I'm thirty eight now and I still
remember her. It was just her classroom demeanor was what

(06:36):
made me want to teach, and made me want to
be in the classroom and help other students, other children.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I love that. I love inspiration. You know, sometimes we
forget there were people in our lives years ago that
were inspiring us and we never knew it. You got
to kind of wake up and go, oh my god,
I forgot that person was actually really cool. I want
to be more like Yeash, never too late to look
into that. Sarah. We salute you. We love our first
callers of the day. Diamond, you got another winner. She's fabulous.

Speaker 15 (07:03):
Thank you so much, thank you. I'm so happy to
talk to you, guys. I've been trying for years to
get on to tell you, guys today my morning.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
You're here.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
You may have a wrong day, so I.

Speaker 15 (07:14):
Have a long day, have report cards today, so I'm
not going to be home till after a It's my
son's birthday tomorrow, so I would be setting up. So
you really, guys made my morning.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
You know, I know how it can help you expedite
that report card thing. Just give them all as I wish,
don't get it. Hey, what are you for a friend? Sarah?
Straight night. Well, as a little memento of your time
with us, Sarah, we're going to send you the Elvis
strand of the Morning Show hoodie thanks to Heck and
Sack Meridian. Hell here it comes way.

Speaker 15 (07:39):
Thank you so much, thank you, it's so nice talking
to you guys. Have a great day.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
We don't hang up. Hold on, hold on. It's a
pleasure speaking with you, Sarah, and you know they're lucky
to have you in that classroom. Seriously, thank you, thank you.
Hold on? How do we do this with a hanging up?

Speaker 16 (07:51):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Did I push the right button? I don't know. I
hope not me too?

Speaker 8 (07:57):
There all morning?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Yes, I'm still waiting. Well that was great. I love
starting the day like that. Let's get into the three
things we need to know from Gandhi and then we
get on with quite a day. What's going on Gandhi?

Speaker 6 (08:07):
All right?

Speaker 14 (08:07):
The Senate has approved a measure allowing for the release
of the Jeffrey Epstein files without a vote. Senate Minority
Leader Chuck Schumer successfully passed unanimous consent, which means the
bill will automatically pass once it is delivered to the
Senate from the House.

Speaker 8 (08:21):
That is expected to happen today.

Speaker 14 (08:22):
On Tuesday, the House passed the bill to force the
DOJ to release all of the Epstein files by a
four hundred and twenty seven to one vote. President Trump
recently said he will sign the measure once it passes
the Senate. Ultra processed food like fast food, ready to
eat meals, and protein bars are apparently linked to harm
in every major organ of the human body. That is

(08:45):
according to the world's largest review of ultra processed foods
and their impact on global health. The study, published in
The Lanset also found that these foods are being aggressively
marketed by corporations, skewing scientific debate and working to prevent regulation.
In the US more than half of the average diet
consists of ultra processed foods, particularly in poorer areas. The
study says this is an urgent public health threat. The

(09:07):
paper also notes that there should be an emphasis on
local food producers to correct the problem.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
I wouldn't mind a little dirty water hot dog right now.

Speaker 8 (09:14):
There you go, get.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
It me too.

Speaker 8 (09:17):
Speaking of.

Speaker 14 (09:20):
And finally, if you see some of your favorite celebrities
posting toilet selfies today, that's because it's World Toilet Day.
Kim Kardashian, Billie Eilish, lots more have been posting these
photos of themselves sitting on the commode to mark the occasion. Yeah,
make that face one of the mode sitting sitting on
the toilet.

Speaker 8 (09:38):
But there is a bigger movement behind this, talk about it.

Speaker 14 (09:43):
World Toilet Day was started by the United Nations in
twenty thirteen and is observed every November nineteenth to raise
awareness of the global sanitation crisis. The UN Secretary General
says nearly three and a half billion people worldwide are
at risk of not having safe sanitation, and that waste
systems around the world are being by climate change and
aging infrastructure. So today, enjoy and celebrate the privilege of

(10:04):
your toilet and sanitation. And those are your three things.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Are you ready for your Wednesday?

Speaker 17 (10:08):
Yes, Elvis Duran, Oh, here he is. And the Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Macy's Parade of Deals is back each day starting November
twenty seventh. There's a one day deal on items from
diamond studs to Gucci fragrances. Check back every day for
new surprises this holiday. Let Macy's be your guide to gifting.
Shop at Macy's dot com slash Gift Guide.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Elvis Duran at The.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Morning Show, you're right, you're right, Samantha. Going to Walgreens
or CBS or you know, any drug store here in
New York City, it's all locked up. Everything is locked up.

Speaker 8 (10:51):
Oh yeah, got to keep it safe.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
I mean as you go out to the suburbs, it's
a little easier. No, not every where I live it is.
It's really bad where you.

Speaker 11 (11:00):
Yeah, And I and I asked the question all the time,
why is this locked up? And I get, well, the
kids are making meth or that this is out from.

Speaker 8 (11:08):
A lot of things.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
They make, things, they make, they put the constructions.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah, they do. So I live further out so there's
less locks. And then if I guess that's how it works, right,
But here in the city you had a ding dong
associate needed in shampoo.

Speaker 14 (11:24):
Which is also embarrassing because there's some stuff you want
to get into a pharmacy that you don't want some
person to come hand to you.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Associate needed in tampon.

Speaker 8 (11:35):
I I'll take those. What what type get out of here?
You don't need to know.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
About associate needed with extra small condoms truly, like a fungal.

Speaker 8 (11:46):
Cream, like ding dong cream.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
This is what we have. This is our reality. But
they lock up everything.

Speaker 6 (11:54):
Wow, I really do.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
And you know, and I'm a typical guy. You know,
I go to those drug stores drug stores, right, I
mean for everything, for detergent, for paper towels, for you know, uh,
gummy bears, everything, every candy, paper plate, toilet paper, lube.

Speaker 14 (12:16):
Candles, and a charger you never know it's lub can charger.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
But everything is locked up. So in your drug store, Danielle,
is anything unlocked?

Speaker 11 (12:25):
Yes, there's a lot unlocked, but there's a lot locked.
But most of this stuff is locked not because of stealing,
it's because of concoctions.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Science, yeah, thievery, Yeah, for sure. So I went to.

Speaker 18 (12:38):
A liquor store in downtown Brooklyn, and it was plexiglass
to the left of me and to the right of me.
The only way to get anything was to go straight
to the register and they say, how can I help you?

Speaker 2 (12:49):
And even he was behind plexiglass. I've never seen it
like bulletproof, yes, or who's gonna shoot up? You know vodka?
I mean fireball.

Speaker 11 (13:01):
Don't you remember during COVID they had the COVID tests
behind glass. People were stealing them and it was like
you know, gold.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
At least they were stealing them for the good, for
good reasons, yes, Nate. The thing I've never understood is
that the detergent. Have you seen? Why is this expensive
currency on the black market?

Speaker 16 (13:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Something everything, Everything has a price. They can sell it.
These people who steal sell it. They don't steal it
because they need it. Well, sometimes they do. I shouldn't
say that. They definitely steal it because they needed sometimes,
but a lot of times they steal it because they
want to make money off.

Speaker 14 (13:32):
Of the Walgreens by us And I say us because
it's Sam scary Andrew. A lot of us kind of
share the same one. Everything is locked up and the
detergent is not just locked up. It's also chained. You
can't chained, yeah, but to each other and to the
back of the little shelf. Because I have like a
little chicken arm, and I can get in and get
things when I need to, but not the.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Detergent chicken arms. I would live to see your chicken
arm at work.

Speaker 8 (13:56):
Oh, I climb up the shelves and go behind all
the time, grab thing.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Lord.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Anyway, Well, so that's today. I gotta go buy shampoo.
Here's the thing, because you know, I'm in the city
way two or three days a week, so I don't
have shampoo here because I'm only here like two days.
So I go a couple of days. But you know,
when I had platinum blonde hair, I didn't shampoo, like
because you're not supposed to do. So I was told
that's good. You shouldn't shampoo your hair every day.

Speaker 8 (14:18):
Yeah, I'm supposed to.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Why not. But on the third day, I get a
little itchy and then you know, start flaking, get a
little spray. So what's this name? Apparently people are buying
drugs with stolen tide. Oh, they're trading tide.

Speaker 8 (14:32):
See I said we should bring it back yesterday it's happening.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
You did bartering, bartering tide.

Speaker 8 (14:38):
Kind of drug dealer needs detergents.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
A bottle the clean ones, or they take it home
to mom A good kids baby formula. People are texting it,
you know.

Speaker 6 (14:52):
Oh yeah, I can see that it's baby formula is
very expensive.

Speaker 8 (14:55):
Oh hair care products, dipers you know of diapers are forget.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Jeez anyway, So yeah, I'll be at the Land of
doorbells today. It's like going to the doorbell display at
home depot. Do you ever do that just to irritates
some shoppers? Don't Jesus, these guys walking around. We trow
bob fours in a couple of love nuts, and I'm like, hi,
ding dong, ding dong, that you just play. I'm the

(15:21):
only one that plays with the doorbells at home depot.

Speaker 6 (15:23):
I don't they hate to see you coming.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
I don't really go to home depot, but you know,
I always turn right because that's where the detergent is located.
If you turn left, it goes down to that dark
area with nothing but wood and scrap scrap metal. We
gotta go Producer, Sam, who are you doing your horse grips?

Speaker 8 (15:40):
I'd love to do it with you today, Elvis, Please all.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Right, dan Oh, I would love to go to this
birthday party. If today's your birthday, you celebrate with Tiger
Jody Foster, Adam Driver, Meg Ryan and I love her
Alison Janny.

Speaker 8 (15:56):
That's a fun.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
I want to go to that party. I Scorpio, loosen
your grip control is your go. But okay, Scorpio, loosen
your grip control is your You know how you can
tell that Ai wrote this. It has dashes everywhere.

Speaker 8 (16:15):
All the time.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Well, dashes aren't good. Okay, Scorpio, loosen your grip control
is your go too, but you need a little more
freedom your days of.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Seven Sagittarius, an old friend could offer new insights, so
hear them out before you deflect your days an eight yo.

Speaker 2 (16:29):

rewriting your blueprint your days of six.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
Hey Quarius, the universe is handing you an unexpected win.
Celebrate it without over explaining. Your day's a nine Pisces.

you don't understand why. Ooh, I love that. Your day's
a five Aries. You are stronger than your self doubt,

be looked at as a liability. Your day's a seven.

those are Wednesday morning.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Horses ten to think about. On the text, they say
drug daters are stealing tied because they want to launder
their money. Oh, Danielle, what's coming up?

Speaker 6 (17:53):
Zarana?

Speaker 11 (17:53):
Grande going on a farewell tour and Eminem is pissed
off at a brand that is taking his name.

Speaker 2 (17:59):

the Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
You know, do we have to go through that list
of things you cannot talk about at the Thanksgiving table?

Speaker 6 (18:42):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (18:43):
I want you to reverse it. I'm gonna give you
the list real quick as we get into the Daniel Report,
and I want you to think it through like this,
Let's do a Thanksgiving party where you're forced to talk
about every one of these things.

Speaker 8 (18:54):
Oh, I love this.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
This is the.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
List things you should never talk about at the Thanksgiving
table because the family will erupt in chaos. Politics. Let's
do it.

Speaker 13 (19:06):
Oh, I love you.

Speaker 11 (19:07):
Remember when my dad was alive, I would go in there,
I would say one thing and I'd walk out the room.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Yep, you're fard on the elevator and leave. Okay, let's
talk about politics. Money, like how much you make in
these days? Yeah? All right? Your appearance and weight scary?
Do you really want to eat that? Daniel used to
do that to me. I got so mad at her.

Speaker 6 (19:27):
What did I Well?

Speaker 11 (19:27):
Yeah, I would say, well because you were on a diet,
and you would say if you see me, but you
know what?

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Rude? But I'll give you the pass it to Thanksgiving table.
Hey you eat that fat ass?

Speaker 8 (19:39):
Indian people love to comment on your weight and appearance.

Speaker 14 (19:41):
Really yeah, oh, like my god, you've got to live fat.

Speaker 6 (19:46):
But don't they meet it out of love?

Speaker 16 (19:48):
No they don't.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
All right, another one you're not supposed to talk about,
but we're gonna talk about religion. Let's do it. Come on, Hey,
why don't you come to church with us?

Speaker 6 (19:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (19:58):
My mom loves to do that. To my rather, my
brother's like, well you just please don't even.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Right the list of off limits at the table Thanksgiving?
Not my house, people's exes.

Speaker 13 (20:09):
Oh my god, what happened?

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Why isn't Jerry here this year?

Speaker 6 (20:13):
Especially when the new person is sitting next to you?

Speaker 2 (20:15):
Exactly who's this? Where's Jerry come to Thanksgiving? We've got
things to talk about. You're quite the joker, all right,
all right? But the other mental health. It's a little
heavy for dinner, but I think mental health and on
a serious note, it's good. I mean during you know,
eating and being with each other. It's good to talk about. Now,
how are you feeling? Where are you in this world? Yeah,

(20:36):
it's too serious, but it's always needed. Uh, work or
career issues? If if some issues, Like someone's at the table,
you know they're having a hell at work. God, let's
talk about how bad your job.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
Is, your boss?

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Bring it in. Any personal struggles going on, let's bring
it up at the table. Your current relationship status, you
guys having sex?

Speaker 5 (20:59):
God?

Speaker 2 (21:00):
And other family members, Like, let's start bashing the other
people who didn't show up or people who did. I
want my table to be that this year.

Speaker 6 (21:08):
You forgot one what when are you having kids?

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Yeah? When are you doing it? When are you having kids? Okay?
So who who's coming to my house with Thanksgiving to
the center the Uncomfortable Thanksgiving dinner party? Let's do it.
Let's go, Danielle, what are you got going on? All right?

Speaker 11 (21:24):
So em and M is very serious when it comes
to going after people who are using his name. He's
going after an Australian beach company called swim Shady.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
You gotta say it's very clever.

Speaker 11 (21:35):
Anyway, he filed a petition with the US Patent Office
asking them to cancel swim Shady's US trademark. They sell
beach umbrellas, towels, swim bag short so if you want
to get your swim swim Shady merch, you better.

Speaker 6 (21:47):
Go get it now.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
And you know me, I'm such a bad businessman. I'd
be like, oh my god, use it.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
I love them people repuss Hall. It makes me feel good.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
Okay.

Speaker 11 (21:57):
So Jonathan Bailey you may know him as Ferro and
Wicked or People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive. I don't know
if you saw the adorable video he did with Elmo,
but they're sitting on a bench, they're talking about taking
a moment practicing self care, and so many people have
commented that they're so jealous of Elmo because he's sitting
with Jonathan Bailey and he puts his arm around and

(22:19):
they're like, why can't I be Elmo?

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Okay, I'll give you permission to do the Elmo voice
this one time. What is the filthiest thing? Elmo would say?

Speaker 11 (22:25):
Oh, oh, Jonathan Bailey, you are the sexiest man alive.

Speaker 6 (22:31):
Put your hand right there.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Oh my god. All right, what's next?

Speaker 3 (22:35):
All right?

Speaker 11 (22:35):
So I was not watching Dandy with the Stars last night.
I know it was Prince Knight, but I was not home.
Apparently it was a major shocking elimination.

Speaker 6 (22:45):
Don't Google, don't look at spoilers if you're a big fan,
because this was supposed to be like a shocking elimination.
Just giving you the.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Fyy that is sort of a spoiler in and of itself.

Speaker 6 (22:55):
Well, just be careful, like when you open up, you know,
the Googler.

Speaker 11 (22:58):
A documentary surrounding Los Angeles Dodgers visit to Japan at
the beginning of the twenty twenty five baseball season is
in the works. It's homecoming the Tokyo series. It will
be in movie theaters February. Let's see Ariana Grande. What
is she doing with singing? She may be going on
her fair well tour. You know, she's working on a
lot of movies right now. She joined the Amy Polar

(23:20):
podcast Good Hang, and she was promoting Wicked for Good
and she said the last ten or fifteen years were
very different than the ones that are coming up. I'm
very excited for this small tour, but I think it
might not happen again for.

Speaker 6 (23:31):
A long, long long time. I'm like one last hurrah.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Huh, what is that?

Speaker 3 (23:38):
Cool?

Speaker 2 (23:38):
She's evolving. It's okay, she definitely is. I should think
they always say now, this is my last one and
then they go back on tour.

Speaker 8 (23:44):
Well, it's a genius marketing.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Yeah, I mean, Cher has been on her going out
of business tour for twenty five years now, true.

Speaker 11 (23:50):
And arian is only thirty two, so she has tons
of time to keep coming back for her farewell tour.

Speaker 6 (23:55):
You know, A Stranger Things actress went on.

Speaker 9 (23:57):
A writer is.

Speaker 11 (23:58):
Tomorrow Morning's guest on the Hot Ones if you want
to check that out. And it's the fifty ninth annual
CMA Awards tonight. You've got Survivor, You've got the Floor,
the Amazing Race and also Champagne problems over on Netflix.

Speaker 6 (24:09):
And that's my Daniel Report.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
Hey.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
You know they say catch people doing something right? Uh, Diamond, Hi,
did you call someone to give them their horoscope?

Speaker 6 (24:16):
I did?

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Okay? May I read the textedges came through sure during
a Daniel's Report. My heart is blown away. You guys
actually called me to give me my horoscope that I missed.
I love you so much. Literally made my six turn
into a ten. Oh, Nicemara, Well that's actually you did that. Yeah,
Diamond can be.

Speaker 8 (24:35):
Nice sometimes smaller people.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
From time to time. All right, let's take the break.
We got a busy day to day though. We have
a Megan Trainer in less than an hour and a half.
And then isn't David Burke, the world famous chef, coming
in today. He's bringing his bacon on a clothes line,
all right? In bad news. Lee Schrager's coming in.

Speaker 6 (24:57):
Oh well, we love yeah, he's now he's gonna love
me for that one.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
We lovely, I mean, you know, in small doses. So
the return of our co host Lee Shrager later on.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
That's funny to me, it's funny.

Speaker 9 (25:15):
Well, do you have a sense of humor?

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Telvis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Elvis Duran and The Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
You know something I want you to think about today
raising your champagne glass to your friends or family members
when they've done something really cool, when they've met a goal,
or they've accomplished something they've been working on, they're doing,
or just they're doing well in life. That's that's gonna
be a big win. If you can just look someone

(26:05):
you love in the eye and say, you know, I've
been watching you and you are winning. You were killing it.
I see the little things and the big things you do,
and I see the payoff for you. And I don't
know if you're telling yourself congratulations, if or if not,

(26:26):
it doesn't matter. I'm here to tell you congratulations. I'm
very proud of you. And even though you may not
physically have a champagne flute in your hand, you know,
that is like raising your glass to your friends. And
you know, and because I got to say, someone I
love very much in trust with my life actually said
something to me yesterday and in gesture made me feel

(26:48):
really great about myself and makes me want to go
do something that's kind of a challenge in my life,
which I haven't done in a long time. And they
made me feel really good about it. So to my friend,
thank you.

Speaker 8 (27:00):
That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
It's true.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
Cheers. Now you should play pink Raise your glass.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Raise your glass. There's a song for everything. Yes, you know,
it's you know, it's so important because we go through
life with these people and we take for granted what
they bring into your life and the lives of people
around them. And they probably will never be thanked, and
maybe they're not even in the business to be thanked. Yeah,
they're just there to do good things because that's what
they do. That's how they are. Think of that friend

(27:25):
of yours that's doing that. They're actually, in the words
of Charlie Sheen, winning, Yeah, they have one speed. It's
go for sure. I don't know any thoughts on this.

Speaker 8 (27:39):
Yeah, I think this is really important.

Speaker 14 (27:41):
I was actually talking to one of my very good
friends about it the other day because I try really
hard to do that because in life, and I will
only speak about women here, a lot of things that
you get celebrated for aren't necessarily really hard work to accomplish.
But career being happy things like.

Speaker 8 (27:57):
That you have to work at that stuff.

Speaker 14 (27:59):
Getting engaged is amazing, but it's not like you worked
and really struggled to do something like that. You fell
in love and it's amazing. You should celebrate these milestones.
But if somebody gets a huge promotion at work, if
they're a boss, if they have overcome mental illness, whatever
that kind of stuff is, it's a huge deal.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
Yeah, you're doing great. I just want to let you
know I've noticed I'm watching you. I know it may
be creepy that someone's actually paying attention to you. Yeah,
but you're doing well, Danielle. What are your thoughts or
even a.

Speaker 11 (28:24):
Thank you to somebody who's helping you achieve those goals,
because I think a lot of times that goes overlooked,
Like people are there by your side, raising you up,
helping you get to that next level and you do
it and then you kind of forget to say thank you.
So sometimes it's nice to turn to them and say
thank you for all your help helping me get there.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
So accomplishments are made and then it works two ways.
Accomplishments are acknowledged and also they are so well thank
you for helping them reach those accomplishments. I like it,
I know, I know, I know, or like Kissey, Kizzy, kissy.

Speaker 8 (28:55):
No, it's great though.

Speaker 14 (28:56):
I think even with a breakup, if somebody has gotten
through a breakup and they are now on the other
side of it and they're rebuilding their life, that is
something to celebrate because how many people do you know
that stay in a toxic relationship because they're too scared
to change something.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
I know, but they make to change. Yeah, So champagne,
glasses up, champagne cheers.

Speaker 8 (29:13):
Everybody tonight today. Congratulations, congratulations.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
I know you know what you know. We've got our
little behive of friends here and we do very well.
People always talk about it. Hey, you guys sound like
your friends. We are, you know, I mean, we sometimes
only see each other in the confines or within the
confines of this room. Every day, but we spend more
time with each other than we do with anyone else
in our lives. We do yeah, we do. Okay, here
we do very well.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
We do it very well.

Speaker 14 (29:44):
And I would like to say I'm really proud of
all of you for different things, like truly proud of you, Elvis.
I know you're thinking about stepping outside of your comfort zone,
and that's incredible.

Speaker 8 (29:51):
Danielle.

Speaker 14 (29:52):
The amount of energy you expend every day and do
charitable work, it's amazing, Nate, new chapter, scary working out
every day.

Speaker 8 (29:59):
There's something great here with everybody.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Yeah, thank you, thank you very much. See it's important
to do that, Nate. Did you hear one word? She said,
not at all. Okay, thanks. Oh here comes the rain cloud.
All right, Nate, the rain cloud just floated back.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
I'm gonna move over here so I don't get rain on.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Oh my god. We are what an hour away from
Megan Trainer Kelly.

Speaker 17 (30:23):
The Mercedes Benz interview lounge with Cardi B.

Speaker 11 (30:27):
You just seem like the type of person that has
fun and you'd want to hang out with.

Speaker 16 (30:30):
Oh well no, no, I just like to be in
my bed and gossip all day.

El Mister ran in the Morning Show. Elvis Ter ran
at the Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
You know, yesterday we were talking about our old friends.
They're not old, but they're friends that we've known for
a long time. So old friends. CARTERA. Murray and Anthony
used to work at our show years ago. Now they've
gone off and done their own thing. Now they're actually
going from professional life to married life. They're getting married
this Friday. We had them in yesterday. So Gandi decided,
because marriage and weddings on the topic train whatever we're doing,

(31:21):
what are the songs that most people ban at their weddings?
And we did this contest yesterday. It did and our
contestants did fairly well, but not extremely well. Right, So David,
David here, Hi, David, is that you? Hey?

Speaker 3 (31:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (31:37):
How are you so? Yes? So David listening to this
contestant yesterday trying to name these songs through the miracle
of sound and tell us the names of them, the
songs that are banned from a lot of weddings. You
said this, David on the text, y'all need to get
me on the line for the next game. I'll win this.
I'm a pro. I will be undefeated. Wow did you

(31:58):
say that yesterday? David?

Speaker 3 (32:00):
Yeah, I mean there's times I'm on here listening to them.
Of course, I call in like fifty times and I
don't get through. And then I'm sitting here playing it
with him and I'm literally screaming at my wind show, like,
come on, you could have got that?

Speaker 2 (32:10):
All right?

Speaker 8 (32:11):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
So what I want you to do. I'm gonna give
me a second. You have a moment to hang on
for a second, right, all right? Yeah, okay, good, give
me a second. We're gonna do that in a moment.
So I want everyone listening to play along with David
and see if you could be better than David, because
David says he will get them all.

Speaker 8 (32:27):
I have faith in David. Something about his voice. He
sounds like he's gonna do it.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Yeah, he sounds very confident. There's something going on, And
I got to bring in Diamond for this. Hey, Diamond,
you know Housewives of New Jersey. Yes, because you're a
huge fan. A lot of people listening are ye.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
You know.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
The big storyline it's been going on for a while,
over two years, is Teresa Judaice or Judici and Melissa
Gorga have just been in a cat fight, not even
speaking to each other. Right, yep, what was the fight over?
Because I mean Teresa's brother, Joe is married to Melissa.
It's like a big problem. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (33:01):
I so it dates back like almost ten fifteen years
ten fifteen years ago, where like Melissa and Joe joined
the show and there was a whole bunch of drama
about how they got on the show, and Teresa has
just held on to it. It's been I think it's
just like brother sister fighting. But Melissa is now attached
to it. She's on the show with Teresa, and it's

(33:22):
just other people getting into it.

Speaker 8 (33:24):
It's just weird.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
So Melissa and Teresa just basically hate each other. Yes,
well that's turning around, as you know, and is a
matter of fact, and coming up in a little while,
give me fifteen minutes, coming up, like fifteen twenty minutes.
I'm gonna play a piece of sound from an interview
we did with Melissa over two years ago where I
gave her my wish. My wish is that the two

(33:46):
of them could just grow old together and sit on
our front porch and just be like old pot smoking
Margarita to drinking gals in Florida. Yeah, and I'm gonna
play that back for you a little bit.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
It's like your Christmas wish is coming to you.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Yeah, it's coming true. We're gonna get in like fifteen
or twenty minutes. Okay, so hang on, all right, now
let's go back to David. It is time to do it.
Are you ready? I'm ready? All right. As a matter
of fact, the intro for this contest for you, this
game is the Chicken Dance. The Chicken dance, which is
banned from many weddings like mine. All right, now, what

(34:19):
are the rules for David on this?

Speaker 14 (34:21):
David, I think you just need to get the name
of the song and we'll we'll.

Speaker 8 (34:25):
Let you have that point.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Yeah, because we don't know the artists who performed the
Chicken dance, right, nor do we want to. All Right, David,
these are songs, according to our sources, that are most
banned at weddings. I'm sure most chosen by the bride
and also the groom. They don't want to hear these
at all. Are you ready to conquer this?

Speaker 3 (34:45):
I'm ready.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Song number one banned from weddings colors. So what is it? Oh? Here? Christina? Absolutely,
by the way, I had someone sing that at my wedding,
did you Yeah? It wasn't played at the reception. It

(35:12):
was played during the wedding. But band, all right, so
far you're you're winning.

Speaker 8 (35:16):
These songs are so popular. I think a lot of
people are going to dispute it.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
This next song band from weddings? What is this? David?

Speaker 7 (35:22):
Wear it begin?

Speaker 10 (35:24):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Plays really again? Begin? Okay, what is it that?

Speaker 3 (35:31):
I have no idea what that is? I've never heard that.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Yes you have, Yes you have, David, I'm going to
play it. I'm gonna play it one more time. Just
focus on the song. Listen closely, wear it began again?

Speaker 5 (35:48):
Begin?

Speaker 2 (35:52):
What song is that? You're going to get so mad
at yourself if you don't know this?

Speaker 3 (35:58):
No, no, sweet care.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Alright, alright, see you had to think about it. I
can't believe are you scratching your brain? All right? Here
we go, David, This is band wedding song number three?
What is this?

Speaker 9 (36:25):
I've got that shut in my puckett.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
I know she and Timberlake. I know it's from trolls.
I don't remember the name.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Oh no, not not to be bad Buzzard. That was
can't stop the feeling.

Speaker 1 (37:02):
Of him.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
I'd dance with my kids to that song at my wedding.

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Oh see, we didn't ban it. That's the problem. I
would like that at my wedding. I would dance to that.

Speaker 14 (37:14):
I think a lot of these songs are really popular
at weddings, which is why they get banned.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
Okay, all right, here is band? Are you keeping score here?

Speaker 1 (37:21):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Here is band's song number four. Great song, Oh shut
up and Dance with Me?

Speaker 8 (37:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Great song. Would you let that play your wedding?

Speaker 6 (37:42):
Danielle? Yeah, I like that one.

Speaker 8 (37:44):
The girl in that video looks just like Danielle. She's crazy.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
The reason to play it? All right? So you got
that one, David. Here's another song, according to our sources
that is banned from many weddings. Nobody was.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
About the dog Now.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Dog Down. I will totally ban that for my next wedding.

Speaker 8 (38:08):
Anyone else, I feel like you try to ban it
from the airwaves.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
Oh my god, I think I did. I'll play it.
Kiss everyone off? All right, you're doing really well. Here
is banned from wedding song number six, We can't spot? Wait?
Let see how's flock?

Speaker 3 (38:25):
Sorry for party rocking?

Speaker 2 (38:28):
We're close. That's not the name. That's what they sing.
It's kind of close. You got two of the words
sort of right.

Speaker 8 (38:37):
Might be the name of the album.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
That's also the name of a song rocking.

Speaker 8 (38:41):
Okay, oh okay, could you play it again?

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Absolutely, we can't spot do you good?

Speaker 16 (38:50):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (38:50):
Let's see how black. You gave us two words that
are correct. The third word isn't even in the song,
leen Field. The song is party rock anthem. Yeah, I
don't know you're getting She's getting tough. It is a
different song, but you're familiar with it. Do we not

(39:13):
want that at our wedding?

Speaker 13 (39:14):
The song?

Speaker 8 (39:15):
God? No, I hate that song.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
Okay, all right, right, okay, here we go. Let's move.
You'll get this one. What song is this band? From
wedding jogging? What is that?

Speaker 16 (39:31):
You?

Speaker 3 (39:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (39:33):
That huge superstar sigh?

Speaker 16 (39:40):
You get that?

Speaker 2 (39:41):
You'll get this one? David band at weddings? What's that?

Speaker 3 (39:49):
Oh? I love the macarena.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Yeah, I've been all songs that have to do with
some line dancing.

Speaker 6 (39:58):
You're not that.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
Get the people up, God, sit down? All right, you're
getting that to my karina? Absolutely? What about this one?

Speaker 7 (40:10):
I got?

Speaker 2 (40:14):
What song? Is that?

Speaker 3 (40:16):
Another blank peas? Have you played again?

Speaker 2 (40:23):
Absolutely? I can?

Speaker 3 (40:28):
I got, I got a feeling, I got.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
That's gonna be because we're not playing that song?

Speaker 6 (40:46):
All right?

Speaker 2 (40:46):
I got one more. You're doing very well, David. Here's
the last one on the list songs that are most
banned from weddings. Oh, I would play that uncensored. Have
you wedding one more time? So great? So great?

Speaker 6 (41:13):
You can't.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
Yeah, anyway, you did really well? He did. He did
very well. Eight out of ten, David. I mean it
wasn't but you know what, you did better than most.
Congratulations you do, David.

Speaker 3 (41:33):

a doude.

Speaker 18 (42:47):
For a guy who came in hot, beating his chest
on how he's undefeated and the best in the game,
he was a little shaky for me.

Speaker 2 (42:55):
Just for me.

Speaker 6 (42:56):
I thought he did pretty dad well.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
He didn't drink, he did well.

Speaker 8 (42:59):
But now our listeners are doing to him what he
did to the other people. They're like, I don'll get
ten out of ten.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
He got eight out of ten. I think he did great.
I don't thank you, Scary. Thanks for chiming in if
you could. Oh look, we have two little rain clouds
in the room. Now we've got Nate and Scary.

Speaker 6 (43:13):
You better move over. You're right in the middle, the
middle of it.

Speaker 8 (43:18):
Don't forget Scotty in the other studio.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
All right, Okay, coming up, I was telling you about
that interview we did with Melissa Gorga over two years
ago where my prayer was peace and tranquility with Melissa
and Melissa Gorga and with Teresa jud Ice or jud
Hey ju Dice.

Speaker 6 (43:42):
I think it's easier.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
All right, I'm going to play the audio for you next.
I hope they're listening in.

Speaker 8 (43:46):
I hope.

Speaker 11 (43:47):
So Melissa usually listens, I know, and her husband's always listening.

Speaker 2 (43:50):
Also, we have a thousand dollars free money phone tap

get right into that phone tap. Thanks to our friends

Speaker 1 (44:23):
Elvis Duran and The Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
All right, right, we're a little premature on the phone tap.
We're not doing that quite yet, but in a moment
and calm down, you're gonna win that thousand dollars. It's
gonna be okay. All right. I spoke about this a
moment ago. If you missed it, I'll repeat myself. So
it was a little over two years ago. Melissa Gorga
from Housewives of New Jersey was here and we've talked

(44:47):
to her about many things, including the fact that she
and Teresa Judais Judici I'm gonna say it both ways
every time, are in a massive fight even though they
share a guy. Yeah, well in a way husband Joe
is Teresa's brother, right, yeah, I'm so confused. And they

(45:08):
were having a very public public fight. Yeah, and you know,
and that show, I guess you know, people expected some
fights here.

Speaker 3 (45:16):
And there.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
But it was family deep. I mean, it goes deep.

Speaker 6 (45:20):
And I'll tell you how real it was.

Speaker 11 (45:22):
I went to Melissa's boutique that she has in New
Jersey with my sister in law, and I heard her
say to somebody, isn't it nice that people are actually
friends with their sister in laws?

Speaker 6 (45:32):
Because she wasn't. So I was like, wow, this is real.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
I mean in Diamond, who's a huge fan of all
the housewives, but especially New Jersey Housewives, right yep. And
the fight was just it seemed like it would never
be resolved.

Speaker 7 (45:46):
Every It felt like they just both needed to go
their separate ways and not look back, no matter how
sad it is, you know.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
So let me take you back about two and a
half years ago. It was a March of twenty three.
Melissa Gorgo brought Joe in and we talked to her
and about many things, including this tiff between between her
and Teresa. And here's what I said. This was my
wish for them. You and Teresa are or are not
speaking right now?

Speaker 6 (46:12):
Are not?

Speaker 2 (46:12):
Are not? And I must assume you don't want that?
Do you really want to have that now? But does
she want that?

Speaker 9 (46:20):
I don't know.

Speaker 10 (46:20):
Right now she's saying she does want that and that
she's done. And that's always sad for me, because there's
always hope. I know we're going through a lot. I
know that I'm very upset about certain things. She's very
upset about certain things. But at the end of the day,
you can never give up hope. Right when it comes
to family, I don't care if it's ten years down
the road. I'm not saying it's tomorrow, but maybe in

(46:41):
five ten years, who knows.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
Here's my prediction. Years and years from now, you'll have grandkids.
You and Teresa will be sitting on the front porch
smoking a big fatty drinking margarita like two old drunk broads,
laughing and laughing about all those weird days you had
doing that stupid as show, which I've stay stupid assid
you you could, You're allowed to call it that. Fifty

(47:04):
years from now, that's fair, and that's gonna be like
a great way to like your sun set in life.
You and Teresa a couple of old, high old women
on the front porch, py your cat, petty your cat
because your husband's inside doesn't anything to do with you.

Speaker 9 (47:21):
With some MEAs and a glass of red spaghetti.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
That's my prediction. And I think that's that's actually a
wonderful thing to kind of work towards positivity. Okay, I
like that.

Speaker 9 (47:32):
I hope on a rocking chair with some spaghetti meantballs, but.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
A fat Italian Grandma's with sauce, spot and all the others.

Speaker 9 (47:40):
I love you, Elvis, I love it.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
Okay. That was two and a half years ago. And
as we were having that conversation, Teresa, yeah, actually was
calling the Bravo rep that was with us in the room. So,
I mean, I don't know if we were going to
put it on. I don't The time was up and
I didn't know where it went. But okay, fast forward
to today. So today, Diamond, they're actually speaking together, right,

(48:03):
I mean, what's going on? What's the latest?

Speaker 7 (48:05):
Well, apparently Teresa and Joe met up at the cemetery
where their parents are buried, and like, had this come
to Jesus moment, I guess. And it was like a
week before Bravocan, So they all flew out to New Jersey,
I mean, not to New Jersey. I'm sorry for Bravo
con in where is it Vegas? Yes, And it was

(48:25):
very nice. They looked like they you know how you
could tell people are still like cautious with each other,
Like we're reconciling.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
But like two cats sniff at each other.

Speaker 8 (48:35):
Yea, yeah, we're.

Speaker 7 (48:36):
Not going to be like kissing and hugging in front
of everyone, even though they did hug and everyone was
so excited about it. But they seem like they're moving
in a positive direction.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
Okay, well that was Joe, But what about Teresa and Melissa?

Speaker 7 (48:48):
So apparently I missed this, but apparently all the blogs
are saying that Teresa was on a panel and she
was asked something about Melissa, and she goes, this is
probably the best comment she's made toward Melissa or about
Melissa in years. She goes, Melissa always looks good at reunions,
which is a big deal.

Speaker 2 (49:06):
So they have as far as far as we know,
they have not reconciled.

Speaker 6 (49:09):
They've spoken.

Speaker 7 (49:11):
But Melissa, when she was at Bravo Khon talked about
the fact that like she's letting Joe and Teresa fix
their relationship.

Speaker 8 (49:18):
First, so we're on the way.

Speaker 6 (49:20):
We're on the way, guys.

Speaker 11 (49:22):
She said she was relieved because seeing Joe with the
sister was like all the motivation that she needed. But
Teresa says that she reached out first to reconcile.

Speaker 7 (49:31):
Well, yeah, because they all want to get back on
the show together. I mean, you know, like, okay.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
Motivation.

Speaker 14 (49:37):
Yeah, I mean the show got shut down because of this, right,
like the beef between the two.

Speaker 8 (49:41):
So this is good.

Speaker 2 (49:42):
Well, I'm hoping that goes beyond the show because it
is family and as you know, as I said my wish,
two old broads sitting on the front porch smoking a fatty.

Speaker 13 (49:51):
You called them to fat Italian.

Speaker 2 (49:55):
Hanging out with each other. That is the life we're
all living for. I want to be a fattle Italian grandmother.
I want to be and I'm working on it. Anyway,
We'll let you know if we hear more, and we'll
give you updates. Right now, it's time for one thousand

Interesting phone tap from Scary today. You know what, I'll
just say this life is not always fair. You may
be the father of a child, it doesn't mean you
get to be the father of the child. It could
make for a sad story. In today's phone tap, Well
today they're phone tapping Carmen setting up the phone tap
for her husband and her co worker Antonio Scary is

(51:57):
the guy from the neighborhood who has a complaint about well,
you'll see. Let's listen in. Hello, Hello, can I speak
to Carmen?

Speaker 1 (52:07):
Please?

Speaker 5 (52:08):
Yes, speaking?

Speaker 2 (52:09):
How are you? You don't know me?

Speaker 18 (52:11):
My name is Bill and I live in the neighborhood.
My German shepherd. Actually got your dog pregnant? Okay, you
have those three puppies right, yes, Well, I'd like to
get at least one, if not two, of those back.

Speaker 13 (52:29):
No, you can't do that.

Speaker 2 (52:31):
Why not?

Speaker 13 (52:32):
Well, the puppies are twelve.

Speaker 5 (52:34):
Weeks old, and if you were that concerned about it,
it would have been you would have checked this out earlier.

Speaker 18 (52:39):
Don't you think that I'm titled to at least half
of the litter.

Speaker 5 (52:42):
Actually I gave one away already to a friend of mine.

Speaker 2 (52:46):
Well, what are you doing with Astro's kids? I mean
he's the father.

Speaker 5 (52:49):
This isn't like a child.

Speaker 15 (52:51):
Okay, this isn't.

Speaker 5 (52:51):
If you want to play like that, then I'll ask
you for child support.

Speaker 18 (52:55):
Then hell, wait a second, you can't go making money
off my dog seed.

Speaker 5 (53:00):
I dealt with them since they were born. I dealt
with her since she was pregnant.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
What's your dog's name, Pooka.

Speaker 18 (53:06):
Well, if it wasn't for Astro, Pooka wouldn't have gotten pregnant.

Speaker 5 (53:09):
It's not like they're married. So I mean dogs, dogs
get together to breed, so that's their whole purpose.

Speaker 18 (53:16):
Well, can I at least bring Astro over your house
so he could play with his kids?

Speaker 17 (53:20):
That's fine.

Speaker 5 (53:21):
When I get out of work at six.

Speaker 2 (53:22):
I mean Astro's in a deep depression, he really.

Speaker 5 (53:24):
And I get out of work at six.

Speaker 2 (53:26):
Can you not understand that I'm just gonna stop by this.

Speaker 5 (53:29):
If you try to take one of the puppies, we're
gonna have trouble.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
Which one is less important to you?

Speaker 5 (53:34):
What do you mean less important to me? No, it
doesn't work like that. And plus I have two girls
and they don't want to give it and give them away?

Speaker 19 (53:41):
Am I giving?

Speaker 7 (53:43):
We're not giving them away?

Speaker 2 (53:44):
So there's nothing to do with your kids.

Speaker 5 (53:46):
Yes they do if they tell me, if if these
girls been with these dogs since the day they were born,
they were there and they watched the birth of the
dogs and they said.

Speaker 18 (53:54):
No, So I'm sorry, No, I'm gonna need custody. Okay
for Astro, I'm gonna need custody of one of the puppies.

Speaker 5 (54:00):
All right, to need custody.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
You think that your kids are gonna tell you what
to do. Who's in charge of your house?

Speaker 5 (54:05):
That's not even the case. The case is that these
girls been they're attached to these dogs.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
What about the father Astro?

Speaker 5 (54:11):
Let them get another dog pregnant?

Speaker 18 (54:13):
Are those dogs out in the backyard right now? I'll
swing by your house right now.

Speaker 5 (54:17):
No, they're not, And if you try to come in
then I will call a cop.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
Tell your brady kid, you'll get them a dog somewhere else.

Speaker 5 (54:23):
Don't call my kid a brat. My kids not a brat.

Speaker 18 (54:26):
Mommy, Mommy, keep the dog, mammy where I don't want
to get rid of the dog. Where does the kid
realize what's at stake here? Does your child know?

Speaker 5 (54:33):
Being really stupid about this? You're acting like you're like
eight or five years old, and you're a grown ass man.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
You know what.

Speaker 18 (54:38):
You can't extort money from me to pay child support
on a puppy just because.

Speaker 5 (54:43):
You're not now, because you got rude, you went off
of the mouth.

Speaker 18 (54:46):
No, I'm taking one of those puppies right now. I'm
going to get one because Astro is gonna be reunited
with his daughter. He will Look, where's Pooka.

Speaker 5 (54:54):
What do you mean, where's Pooka. She's at the house.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
I'm gonna have a conversation with.

Speaker 5 (54:58):
Huh, You're gonna have a conversation with Pooka. I'm gonna
let you know. If Pooka does not know you, she
will bite you, so be prepared to get bit.

Speaker 18 (55:04):
No, I'll throw Pooka a bone this way. I'm gonna
make sure that I get my puppies back.

Speaker 5 (55:09):
Okay, we need to end this conversation because I'm getting
tired of this.

Speaker 18 (55:13):
Well, then I'm getting tired of this too. The truth
of the matter is you've been phone tapped?

Speaker 5 (55:19):

I don't love the views, but we're gonna. I'm gonna
help you. We're gonna do some different ideas.

Speaker 2 (59:44):
You please, I got you. Uh where do we start?
Let's start with Toy with Me? Okay, the album Toy
with Me isn't out till April of next year.

Speaker 16 (59:52):
I know, too far, but that's how long it takes
to print vinyls six months, one at a time in April,
and I'm like, but it's done now.

Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
But yeah, so if you're doing just digital, you could
have it out tomorrow morning.

Speaker 16 (01:00:05):
Yeah huh, but I'll just sit on these bangers for now.

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
That's a question. I mean, we all have our specific
reasons why we appreciate vinyl, but why is making sure
vinyl a priority a big thing for you nowadays?

Speaker 16 (01:00:22):
Sally Manager? The kids like to buy them and make
it art in their rooms. Okay, I like to sign
a bunch of them, So okay, will you ever go.

Speaker 11 (01:00:31):
And sign some and like hide them in the stores
so people find them signed already?

Speaker 16 (01:00:34):
Now I am yeah, okay, the plastic open a little bit,
but they don't mind.

Speaker 6 (01:00:38):
No if you sign it. I did like that, right.

Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
So the album Toy with Me out April twenty fourth.
We've already been playing Still Don't Care Much, which we'll
play again. Uh So this this album took a while
to put together for you.

Speaker 16 (01:00:50):
Yeah, it took longer than I usually I do, Like
they usually take three months, and this one took longer
because I was also doing a bunch of other stuff
at the same time. But I've never worked so hard
on songs. Usually I write a song in a day
and it's done. I wrote these songs in a couple
of days, but the production and finalizing each song took
months and a lot of different producers because I would

(01:01:13):
just be like, it's not perfect, Ye, I need to
move it on to someone else, which was difficult. But
now these songs are at a higher level than I
think I've ever done before, and I'm very proud of them,
and so I'm trying to spread the word as far
as i can the people to listen to it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
Well, I want to talk about that. I want to
talk about you outspreading the word and we appreciate you
spreading it for us. You know what I mean, You
know what I but the song, let's let's talk about
uh still don't care? Yes, you you would work with
the producer and say it's time to move on to
someone else, whatever, all with the goal of making a hit.

(01:01:48):
What does it take in your Megan Trainer opinion, what
does it take to make a hit?

Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
But I don't know.

Speaker 8 (01:01:58):
I don't know.

Speaker 16 (01:01:58):
I don't know what makes a hit because I had
all about that base for like nine months and I
was everyone's like, just wait for your one song, and
I was like, I don't have it, I guess, and
then that song came out of nowhere, thought everyone. But
I had that song for like a whole pregnancy, so
a whole nine months. I wasn't pregnant, but like at
the time, so you never know.

Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
So let's is that it? If someone comes up with
their answer to make a hit, is this, this, and this,
it's all bs, It's just I think.

Speaker 16 (01:02:20):
So I'm like I thought I knew. I thought for
a while, I was like, I have a bunch of hits,
like I totally got this formula. But I know how
to make like a pop like I studied Max Martin,
So I I feel like I tried to make those
pop hits, but I couldn't tell you how to make
like the weekend hit, you know, like one of those songs.
I don't know how to make all genre hits. I
don't know how to make like an awesome Tate McCrae

(01:02:42):
cool tit for tat hit you know what I mean, Like,
I don't know how to write that, but I know
how to write a Megan Trainer self love anthem, Like
you know.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
Okay, I have one more question to go kind of
short radio makes it a hit even this is where
I'm going. I'm gonna talk about this. It's so funny.
We're on the same wavelength, We're on the same beam, gotcha.
Uh you Since the very beginning of your career that
we knew of, you came to see us. You loved
coming out and doing radio interviews, and you still do. Yeah,

(01:03:14):
it's so important. You know, a lot of a lot
of artists would rather just not leave the house and
if they can throw something on a video from their
bedroom and here it is, that's that's as far as
they go.

Speaker 16 (01:03:23):
I flew out to see you, my love. The importance
that I'm only going with Elvis, Yes, And.

Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
I'm sure the airlines are so appreciative of that, because
you brought forty five people with you.

Speaker 16 (01:03:33):
I did, I did.

Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
Who are these people?

Speaker 16 (01:03:35):
My managers that are on the computer, and my stylists,
my husband on my radio team, and there's more out there.

Speaker 2 (01:03:41):
I know. I love that, but you still do it
the way it's been done for a while. And why
why is that? Why is it important to get out
and put the work in like this.

Speaker 16 (01:03:51):
I don't know. It's harder than ever now, I guess
to like really get the word out. I still see
like big artists like release like for the Grammin I'm Nations. Recently,
I saw someone get nominated for their album that I
never even heard of, and it made me sad. I
was like, oh my god, how did I not know
this even existed? Because the Internet is so big now
and everything is so spread out and there's too much

(01:04:12):
going on that I have been so nervous about this
record that I've never worked harder on. And I'm so
busy with my two kids, and I just want to
show them and make them proud, show them what mama
could do. So I'm like I need to say us
to everything and just get out there as much as
possible to have everyone know like, hi, I'm mega trainer
and I have songs coming out. Check them out please.

Speaker 9 (01:04:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 16 (01:04:35):
But like even when I put this album out, my
manager said it best. He was like, just keep posting
just keep getting out there, just do the best you can,
because to this day people are still like.

Speaker 8 (01:04:45):
You're married to spy kids, like they still don't know what.

Speaker 16 (01:04:50):
And I'm like ten years deep with my kids, you
know what I mean, children down with my kids, but
they're still like what, like they're just finding it out.
So I'm still like trying to be everywhere at all times.

Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
Do you and Darrestil have the toilets right next to
each other in the bathroom?

Speaker 16 (01:05:06):
We do in the other house.

Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
The other house.

Speaker 16 (01:05:08):
We're trying to sell the house. If anyone wants a
house with two toilets, it's on the market.

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
But brother taking two toilets in the house. We're saying
two toilets right back to back.

Speaker 16 (01:05:15):
Next to each other, side by side.

Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Side by side, because it was always the poor rule.

Speaker 16 (01:05:19):
There's no pooh in Yeah. No. And my brother's like
chilling in that house right now, and so we sell it.
And him and his fiance soon to be fiance have
been pained together and they're like we get it, dude,
Like they're like, we judged you and now we understand you.

Speaker 6 (01:05:33):
But does it really make you closer?

Speaker 16 (01:05:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:05:36):
Really too much?

Speaker 2 (01:05:37):
Too close.

Speaker 6 (01:05:38):
It's too close.

Speaker 8 (01:05:39):
It's too close.

Speaker 14 (01:05:41):
Are the kids at the age where they have figured out,
look what mommy can do, like actually watching and acknowledging it.

Speaker 16 (01:05:47):
I cannot tell because sometimes sometimes I think they know,
like when I play like we're mixing the album, so
we play it a lot in in the living room
and kitchen area where the kids are, and when I
start to play it, my two year old runs in
and goes it's time to dance, and so I know
he's a fan. But then he looked at me the
other day and was like, can you play Meghan Twena?
And I was like are you asking? Are you asking

(01:06:08):
me because you think I'm Mega Trainer or do you
ask me because you love Mega Trainer? Do you love
Megan Trainer? And he's like yeah, and I was like, yeah,
she's pretty awesome. And then I think, because I get
so glammed up, like for my music video, still don't care,
I'm like a princess pop star and I'm flying in
the sky. So I play for my kids to hopefully
think they think I'm cool. And I watched it next
to him, but I was all grungy, like at home

(01:06:28):
and my scrubs, and I was like that's mama.

Speaker 8 (01:06:31):
How cool?

Speaker 16 (01:06:31):
And he was like, can we watch TV?

Speaker 1 (01:06:35):
Do you not know?

Speaker 16 (01:06:36):
That's me? Because I love like this.

Speaker 11 (01:06:38):
Wait till they get old enough and they're like, mom,
can you introduce me to Ariana Grande?

Speaker 6 (01:06:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 16 (01:06:43):
Hopefully someday they'll care.

Speaker 2 (01:06:45):
So great, Darryl, you and you're Megan? Is it fun
being parents still? Is it still a good thing?

Speaker 6 (01:06:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 16 (01:06:52):
Figured this thing?

Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
Well, I mean it's fun. I mean it's the best
because I keep going back to the days where before
you even met Darryl, I know, right, and you know,
and look at you now, and look at you and
Darryl now and kids and two toilets that you're leaving behind.
I know. It's it's kind of funny how life just
takes us fun places.

Speaker 16 (01:07:11):
Yeah, we're blinking and it's going by so fast, too fast.
But we need more kids? Are Yeah, I want a Daughta.

Speaker 6 (01:07:18):
Well what if you don't get a daughter, what if
you get another boy?

Speaker 16 (01:07:21):
That's all right, I'm gonna love him just as much.
But I thought the first two were girls, and I
was tricked. I love them so much, they're so boring.
Every time I was pregnant with them, I was like
this is twin girls. I can feel it, and I
was really wrong.

Speaker 14 (01:07:35):
So now you've you've got a lot going on and
you're kind of in a different place with kids, and
what is happening with your career. Is there's something on
this album that we are going to hear that's going
to sound different than the things that we've heard before.

Speaker 8 (01:07:48):
And do you have a favorite song from the album?

Speaker 6 (01:07:50):
Oh, that's so tough.

Speaker 16 (01:07:52):
This album I really studied. I was doing a lot
of private gigs this year, and I noticed that in
my sets I had a lot of hits, but they
all sounded all over the place, like I had a
lot of duop hits. And then I would sing not
so that, ah so no no, and then me too
songs like that, and I was like, I wish they
had friends. I wish me too, and no had friends
any more, just so by themselves because the rest is

(01:08:13):
like all do ops. So on this album, I wrote
what I call like older, cooler sisters for those songs.
So if you like those songs, there's more of that
on this album. A lot of my songs are like
extra musical. And then I watched a family member go
through an intense breakup and so I wrote a lot
of angry songs of like getting girl, I'm gonna take
your shopping, I'm gonna take care of you. This man

(01:08:34):
means nothing, who cares? So we did. I did a
lot of fatty songs on it. And then I have
my one ballad called Little One that's for my kids,
that's like, please stay this little forever. Okay. They're so
cute and innocent. Nothing bad's happened to you yet, you know,
And at the end they go, I love you, mama,
and it's the cute.

Speaker 14 (01:08:50):
Do they get like a credit for being on your song?
Are the artists now Yeah? I'm basically yeah, pumped up.

Speaker 16 (01:08:56):
Yeah, They're like is this my song?

Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
Like?

Speaker 8 (01:08:58):
This is your song?

Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
So, of course, with the album coming out in April,
I'm looking at the fact that you are doing over
thirty arenas and amphitheaters across North America, including our own
Madison Square Garden in July. Please show up play in
the garden. I mean, does it ever get old?

Speaker 6 (01:09:15):
No?

Speaker 16 (01:09:16):
I still think my team paid people to show up
to the last time. I'm still not convinced. I couldn't
believe it. When I went in there, I was like,
no way, this is full right now, and that we
get to do it again is crazy to me. And
the TD Garden too in Boston, right that's like my
biggest dream. I've never played there, like a headlined the
show by myself only with the jingle balls and like,

(01:09:36):
which is so fun and cool.

Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
But so the fun keeps coming, the fun keeps coming.
And I also noticed that some of the proceeds are
going to Trevor Project, which Trevor Project is a major
same in my life as well. Why'd you decide Trevor Project?

Speaker 16 (01:09:49):
I've always tried to collab with them for a long
time now. I just love everything they do and I
want more people to know about them. So wherever I
go on tour, if I can help in any way
spread the word and get more donations, like that's a
dream come true. That's great for me and them.

Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
So there you go. Look at those boxes you're checking off.
You go back to Megan when you were eleven years
old and your first song.

Speaker 16 (01:10:12):
Hear any of this?

Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
Eleven year old Megan had no I can't.

Speaker 16 (01:10:15):
Believe by a bangs. I did this in sixth grade
and immediately regretted it and put a headband up for
the rest of my time in school and now she's
I love bangs now.

Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
But just think about the road you have traveled to
get you where you are today with the family and
this career and writing more songs. Yeah, hiring and firing producers. Never,
but an eleven year old dat crazy?

Speaker 16 (01:10:38):
Everyone does that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
Never, millions anyone thinking eleven year old would even think.

Speaker 16 (01:10:43):
About, Oh yeah, I didn't have all these dreams because
I didn't like believe in myself like that. When I
was younger, I always wanted to. I was like, we're
gonna need a tour bus because we're going to tour
and he was just laughing, like okay. But I didn't
even like think of these dreams because they weren't even
like attainable in my brain. I was like, there's no
way I'll get that. So when I started, when I

(01:11:03):
got all about the base and gun number one, I
was like, what else can I achieve? And then when
I met the love of my life and got married
at yeah, I was like.

Speaker 6 (01:11:09):
Wow, we need kids.

Speaker 16 (01:11:10):
And then when I did that and survived two sea sections,
I was like, there's nothing I can't do. And now
I'm just trying to show my kids that like you
work really hard and you can have all your dreams
come true.

Speaker 14 (01:11:21):
And now you said you're in a new era where
dudes are suddenly loving you because you're part of these
two just love me, my dude, yep, because my boyfriend
is one of them. The Patrick Mahomes copersal.

Speaker 16 (01:11:30):
That you're yeah, stay farmed, we love state Farmed.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
I'm say I'm gonna say what Meghan Traders said when
she walked in this room. I had no idea who
Patrick Mahomes was.

Speaker 8 (01:11:39):
She said she had the hold of him.

Speaker 16 (01:11:41):
I read the first email and was like, who's that?
And my brother. I called my brother because I knew
was a sports thing. I knew he would love it.
And he goes, you don't understand how intense, how big
this is. This is the coolest you've actually ever done
your whole career. And I was like, will you come
with me because I don't know what I'm walking into.
And I practiced my lines and then I got there
and they were like, it's funny when you freestyle, like
just make this guy laugh. And I was like, all right,

(01:12:04):
So I just kind of spoke my truth a little
bit and was like and.

Speaker 8 (01:12:06):
You are, like who are you sir?

Speaker 16 (01:12:09):
And I was like, oh, he does sports, and they
kept all of that and that was like the whole
commercial he does does sports. Yeah, it's great, And then
I realized how iconic he was. I was like, I
love it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
Going back to you know, eleven year old Megan Trainer
not really understanding where the dreams are going or what
the dream should be. Anyone who's driving to work right
now listening to this conversation with Megan, you know, if
you've lost your dream, the dreams continue to come your way.
You just have to know how to spot them and
run for him. And I'm assume, I'm assuming that being
in a career as you have done and accomplished being

(01:12:46):
in for so long, you really have to reimagine your
dreams constantly. It's not you had a dream at ten
and you that's your life dream. I think it evolves.

Speaker 16 (01:12:55):
I also have like the best management ever. And they
came over one day, like a year ago. He love
you girls, and they came over and they had big
giant pieces of paper and they said, Okay, we're going
to do a manifestation meeting. And I was like what,
and they're like, write down any dream here's like and
there's no The rule is there's no dream too crazy,
you know, like anything you want. And I was like,

(01:13:16):
I s so no, And we just started saying it
out loud and they're like, all right, do you want
it in the next year or the next three years?
So the next five years? And I was like, in
the next three years. And we made Hugeless And in
that one meeting, we've already like knocked off so many
bucket list dreams. And when I tell other artists that,
they're like your managers hang out with you and that's that.
Oh yeah, they like marry me like they they're in

(01:13:37):
the family with their aunties, like their uncles there, and
so I salute them and I think they're the greatest.
And that's why my career is here too.

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
That's the thing. You know again, you don't believe in myself.
You don't have to be Megan Trainer or in the
industry that we're talking about to be surrounded by the
people who can sit you down and go, let's do
this for each other. Yeah, you know, because I'm assuming
I don't know you were, I don't know your management
team that well, but I'm assuming if you're there for
them as well?

Speaker 8 (01:14:04):
Am I there for you?

Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
Answers, Yes, well, I'm so so tickle to death again
that you came to see us. And I know this
is just the the fifth of many interviews that we're
going to do with each other. I guess.

Speaker 6 (01:14:20):
Yes, I have pictures of you and I as redheads together.

Speaker 16 (01:14:22):
Yes we were, and.

Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Neither was original. Neither was we're talking about, Meghan Trainer.
The album Toy with Me is coming out next year
April twenty fourth, and the tour with thirty dates plus
maybe more to be added, all announced very soon, including
the garden here in town on July tenth of next year.
And we love you.

Speaker 1 (01:14:42):
I love you.

Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
Always come back and see us.

Speaker 16 (01:14:45):
I will always, forever and.

Speaker 2 (01:14:46):
Always Megan Trainers still want to Stephen craz.

Speaker 8 (01:14:53):

Speaker 6 (01:15:35):
He's not serious right now?

Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
Is he elvist around?

Speaker 8 (01:15:39):
That man is a day in the Bar show.

Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
So what you're about to hear could be the best
or worst you've ever heard from us. The best, the
best because our friend David Burke is here. We love
the tradition of David Burke chef David Burke in the
worst because leash Waker is here. Oh yeah, what is Mike? Okay,

(01:16:03):
you're more than welcome to sit in with our David
Burke conversation, but you gotta be nice.

Speaker 13 (01:16:08):
I love David Burke, of course you do. But you
don't love You don't love me very much. So I'm here, Okay,
I don't have noise.

Speaker 2 (01:16:16):
Well you're already you're already screwing up the David Burke interviews.

Speaker 19 (01:16:22):
Sorry, there goes my time. I'm just saying I'll be honest.
Thank you for coming in, David. We'll see you next year,
all right.

Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
So you know we we we did a little research
project and it always comes back. We love your show
because of the interviews with your music stars and the
people who are starring in movies and TV shows and chefs.
We love hearing from chefs and people in the Food World.
This is the show that eats. We eat a lot
David Burke, Good god, what do we eat out here?

(01:16:56):
I mean, what do we not have in this beautiful presentation?
That was a.

Speaker 19 (01:17:01):
Thanksgiving Yeah, Thanksgiving breakfast. It was aek early just to
promote Thanksgiving and talk about different ways to present things
or address the table.

Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
It's beauty.

Speaker 19 (01:17:13):
And also that we a lot of people now are
ordering turkey from restaurants to pick up and not have
to go through all the cooking suits. Yeah, so we
do that and it's quite effective.

Speaker 2 (01:17:22):
Each year.

Speaker 19 (01:17:23):
It gets bigger and bigger because it's expensive to buy
and prep everything. Are you almost easy to make it?
Buy it and then reheat it and slice it yourself.
So you're still involved, but you're not committed.

Speaker 2 (01:17:35):
To the whole thing.

Speaker 13 (01:17:36):
The house doesn't smell like turkey in the morning.

Speaker 19 (01:17:38):
Well you're still yeah maybe, I mean so I just
have to I'm sorry, I'm not all yeah, Okay, you're
you're right, you're exactly, But some.

Speaker 13 (01:17:46):
People Thanksgiving need to be promoted that what's become of us?

Speaker 19 (01:17:49):
Well, well, I think Thanksgiving and restaurants is over the
last twenty years, has gotten much bigger than it once
was restaurants used to close Thanksgiving. Now it's a big
business because the families are small. People travel New York.
Of course, you got a lot of tourism, but people also.
Now we do something called grabb and gobble. You order
your turkey or half turkey, so you might have four people.
You don't want to roast the whole turkey.

Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
Remember the grabbing gobble days. They used to call me
that in college. Anyway, So today we had turkey, we
had dressing or stuffing. We have beautiful green beans. That's
the sweet potatoes were puraded, the cranberry.

Speaker 6 (01:18:24):
Everything is so good.

Speaker 8 (01:18:25):
The big pop over dressing was insane.

Speaker 2 (01:18:28):
It was dressing stuffing, same thing. In case you get.

Speaker 14 (01:18:31):
Confused, he told us the difference between the dressing and
the stuffing potato potatoes.

Speaker 19 (01:18:35):
Well, I think stuffing is tally stuffed in the burden
and in the South, when you dress the table, you
put the dressing on the side, meaning side dishes, part
of the dressing. Where you dressed the turkey with the stuff.
I think years ago, when they stuffed it, they tied it,
and they called that dressing it like a tailor would
dress somebody. I think that's where it the more, you know,

(01:18:56):
because when you dress a bird, you're tying it closed.

Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
You address the birds, Hello bird?

Speaker 15 (01:19:03):
Now?

Speaker 2 (01:19:03):
Is that called trusting a bird?

Speaker 13 (01:19:05):
Trusting?

Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
Right? Trusting? Trusting? Yes?

Speaker 3 (01:19:07):
Trust?

Speaker 2 (01:19:07):
Well everything that came in this morning, at this ungodly hour,
exhipt Chris right, Chris, he brought it all in. It's
just fantastic. And of course, David Burke, having you here
is always amazing. Let's talk about restaurants, because you're both here,
you're both restaurant peeps. U. Let's talk about influencers. You know,
they're they're in the news so much these days. They're
you know, they're they're they're posting their their moments of

(01:19:28):
either being successful or disappointing moments at restaurants and then
eating for free, insisting they get fed for free. They're like,
if you give me a free meal with a bunch
of cocktails, I'm going to post something online. Do you, David,
you do you welcome influencers into your restaurant.

Speaker 19 (01:19:47):
Yes, we do certain times, depending on the age at
a restaurant end or the influencer, and it depends on
how many people they represent. If an influencer is representing
one hundred restaurants in one county. You're not getting any
benefit because how many good how much how many must
have chicken Parmigians can.

Speaker 6 (01:20:05):
You hear about?

Speaker 19 (01:20:07):
So there is a there's a benefit to getting the
word out if they're if they're influencing your clientele, not
just a clientele. So there's some of that. But you know,
the eating for free and demanding this, that and the
other thing, that is part of it's pay to play
kind of.

Speaker 2 (01:20:23):
Well, you know, to be fair. I mean, we're having
you on our show to talk about your restaurants and
you brought us foods.

Speaker 6 (01:20:33):
If it wasn't good, we wouldn't have talked about it.

Speaker 2 (01:20:35):
But you know, it's good.

Speaker 19 (01:20:36):
But it can just come on your show, clearly, clearly, clearly,
I listened to you all this week. But I think
the you know, the influencers have their their place, and
a new and young restaurant wants to be on it
to get the exposure.

Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
You know, it's it's it's.

Speaker 19 (01:20:56):
Part of it. It's like marketing, but some of it
is a little bit. I think it gets a lot
of hand when when someone demands that they have to
have this, that and the other thing, and they won't
write about you. But you know, again, these things have
these cycles. They go up and then they go down
and something else comes around. But you know, the traditional
pr has changed.

Speaker 2 (01:21:15):
I think someone was just arrested. Right there was a
woman who was going to restaurants and like stealing things
if she refused to pay.

Speaker 8 (01:21:24):
How many times can you do?

Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
Is it easy? How easy it is to dine and dash?
You just get up and walk out. That's awful.

Speaker 19 (01:21:31):
I had never done it. It's not that I remember.
I think I think we did it together one night.
So I guess you're you're friendly with the VIP girls?

Speaker 2 (01:21:42):
Do you have very much? And they're great?

Speaker 13 (01:21:43):
They are great. Do you watch them? And would you
give them a free meal?

Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:21:48):
Don't you know what? Give it? They would love you.
They love daddy.

Speaker 13 (01:21:53):
We I think that's what daddy.

Speaker 2 (01:22:01):
Take. Yes.

Speaker 19 (01:22:04):
Yeah, but they're professional. They're well spoken, and they make
and they make sense.

Speaker 13 (01:22:09):
Are they knowledgeable and knowledgeable?

Speaker 2 (01:22:11):
Yes?

Speaker 19 (01:22:11):
So you can read it and and feel like, Okay,
they're trustworthy. You don't remember the Zaga guy, it was
pretty trustworthy. You read the review and you sort of
scores in some of the comments and you're like, you
know what this sounds good and you trusted that book.

Speaker 2 (01:22:27):
Somebody there's they're fun. They are fun.

Speaker 14 (01:22:29):
Is there a group of people or anyone in general
who when they are coming to your restaurant you shudder
because you're like, this is not who I.

Speaker 8 (01:22:36):
Want in here right now?

Speaker 14 (01:22:36):
Nobody, no bad celebrity, no like retirement home, people getting
off of a bus.

Speaker 9 (01:22:43):
Nothing.

Speaker 19 (01:22:43):
You know what, I don't think that we don't really know.
I mean, you might get allowed listen, you get a
loud tables, you get a loud tables that you know
of of of drunk women.

Speaker 6 (01:22:53):
That's us go.

Speaker 20 (01:22:59):
Because whatever I'm seated and there's four women around me there,
you want to move to another room.

Speaker 19 (01:23:06):
After that, the third martini kicks in.

Speaker 2 (01:23:09):
And that's why Margarita Daniel's done.

Speaker 8 (01:23:14):
Daniels got kicked out of a restaurant.

Speaker 6 (01:23:15):
Okay, we won't talk about Okay, So.

Speaker 2 (01:23:17):
David is a new restaurant. We have two new restaurants
opening and for the first time in Florida. So if
you're listing uh down in South Florida, drive up to
U Well a little past Palm Springs right right, and
is it Palm Beach, North Palm Beach.

Speaker 13 (01:23:32):
That's where you're going to end.

Speaker 19 (01:23:33):
Up in Palming, between West Palm and Jupiter.

Speaker 2 (01:23:38):
Between West Palm and Jupiter, uh, Seahawk Prime. You can
dalk and dine. You can actually pull your yacht up
to the talks, go in and have dinner. Thank god,
we all have yachts. Let's go, please, Can I ask
the micheline question? Well, let me finish. It's brand. It's
called Seahawk Prime by David Burke, and it's actually uh

(01:23:58):
at Nautilus two twenty, which is park. It's beauty and
new high rise. So this is your first time in Florida.

Speaker 19 (01:24:04):
Well, I opened Smith Owlensky in Miami in ninety seven
as a small partner, right, and that's that's still up
and going. But this will be my first David Burke
branded property.

Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
Congratulations.

Speaker 19 (01:24:16):
Yeah, I'm excited. And what a great the developers doing
a great job. The building is superb. It's really really
high end. It's something that you'd see in Miami or
Lorda Dale or you know along the coast, and it's
in a Marina state of the ark. Really, it took
us a while.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
I love that David Burke, funny built a restaurant that's
so high end, we can't get in. They don't want
people like us there. No, it's it sounds beautiful, a
beautiful steakhouse, right. Yeah, it's a steakhouse in a marina.
So there's a lot of seafood as well. The sushiet
is going to be raw bar.

Speaker 19 (01:24:46):
So what we did call modern day steakhouse now, which
has a little bit of everything the old days of
the New York City steakhouse when it was great beef,
salmon and broccoli, has changed over the last three decades
for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:24:58):
And let me tell you something else going on with
David Burke. He probably is a little embarrassed. I'm I'm
telling the story, but I will anyway. And I know, Lee,
you make fun of me because I live in the
great state of New Jersey, New Jersey defect.

Speaker 13 (01:25:10):
Make fun of you because of New Jersey. Look at you.

Speaker 2 (01:25:16):
So it started the New Jersey Hall of Fame, which
includes a lot of very famous people. Our friend Bobby Brown, Yeah,
buzz Aldrin. I mean, I don't know. This year, the
class of twenty twenty five, I guess inducting chef David Burke,
the Veries first chef, along with Jonas Brothers. That's awesome,
the Eisley Brothers. I think Martin Brodeuer from The Devil's

(01:25:37):
I mean, it's going to be a big night. How
excited are you to be honored there that night? You
know what, it's it's very exciting.

Speaker 13 (01:25:43):
Do you have to cook?

Speaker 2 (01:25:45):
Actually I am.

Speaker 19 (01:25:47):
I'm bringing up bacon and egg the bacon that we do,
and I'm doing an egg dish in an eggshell that
has a little tail of ham in it. Just for
a nod the Jersey. I'm an American dream. Here's a
museum there called the Hall of Fame Museum. It's amazing.
It's worth a visit. Yeah, I went. I went to
see it, and you know, we have to make speeches
and it's really interesting to see the history and the

(01:26:09):
people that have come out of Jersey that are in
the Hall of Fame. Absolutely, just you know a lot
of scientists, a lot of music, a lot of athletes,
bon Jovi's, their radio personalities. No, you know what, you'd
be a great inductee.

Speaker 11 (01:26:24):
They did talk to me about possibly putting us in
there because I did something with them recently.

Speaker 2 (01:26:27):
Yes, I keep going back and forth between Jersey and
New York. We can't figure out what congratulations to you.

Speaker 19 (01:26:33):
And I think, Buddy, isn't it to your buddy who's
on the show today. I think he's been inducted leash
Frager buddy for last buddy.

Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
Oh, I think you met my buddy, you mean, buddy, Buddy, Buddy,
your cake, buddy. Congratulations.

Speaker 19 (01:26:49):
So I'm excited about it. And I'm you know, I've
always liked Jersey, and I got beaten up over the
from being a Jersey you know, well, you know what
people think of Jersey, you know, in the old days. Anyway,
it's all the garden State, I remind them.

Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Okay, back to restaurants. Okay, we talked about influencers. Let's
talk about reviews. Look, for instance, scary is a review horror.
He refuses to step foot in a restaurant if it
doesn't have a four point seven and up. But yes, well,
I'm sorry, Google ratings four point five and over. Anything
below a four point which is crap because reviews, I

(01:27:25):
don't know, it's crap. I don't believe in these reviews. Bob, Bob,
I mean, Dave. I have a good friend, Bob Burke.
I'm sorry.

Speaker 13 (01:27:32):
I didn't even know what's on his show.

Speaker 2 (01:27:34):
David. David, what is your thoughts about here about reviews? Well, really,
I mean you leave them with them or die with them.

Speaker 19 (01:27:41):
Which one Well, some people read reviews and they you know,
if you're a loyal customer and you come in and
they say, yeah, ye, reviews are important, no doubt about it.
Four point five is very good to have, and we
strive for that all the time. But sometimes one bad
review can take you down two bade. You could have
a power outage or traffic and be delayed and not

(01:28:02):
be in control of everything all the time. So there
are some exceptions to the rule, so you got to
work out it, and there's ways to to finagle them
through mark some of that.

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
Some like yelp.

Speaker 19 (01:28:13):
You can advertise and yelp and they'll take down your
bad reviews. So there is this kind of yeah, some
of that involved too. So some people spend more money
making sure they're at a certain point. Some people don't,
you know.

Speaker 20 (01:28:26):
So I don't think anyone should not go to a
restaurant because of the review.

Speaker 13 (01:28:30):
I think if you want to go to a restaurant,
you give it a try, you know.

Speaker 19 (01:28:35):
Word about there's still number one for me and uh,
you know, you look at it. But everybody is a
critic these days on the keyboard, so it becomes especially
after two bottles of wine, you know. And but you know,
there's a couple of a couple of prominent restaurants that
lost to Michelin. Starta with two, A couple of three
stories went down to two, and people are bashing and

(01:28:57):
I'm like, I went online. I'm like, listen, two stars
is a yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:29:01):
What stars?

Speaker 2 (01:29:01):
Amazing?

Speaker 6 (01:29:03):
The hell is a Michelin Star? I know I could
google it? But what does it mean? And how do
you get one?

Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
Well, they're talking about per Se, I believe here in
New York City. Per Se Actually didn't they go from
three to two this year?

Speaker 19 (01:29:12):
It was a linear and uh Washington and I thought
they were both great.

Speaker 13 (01:29:17):
Didn't lose one?

Speaker 2 (01:29:18):
Yeah I didn't. Yeah, Patrick, what is a Michelin Star?
You would think, well, we're talking tires. Yeah, actually not.
But it comes from travel go ahead years ago, I guess,
I don't.

Speaker 19 (01:29:29):
Know what decade, but in France, Michelin tire company put
out a guide book for trap people that drove across
this country where the best restaurants in France were, and
they were usually in Burgundy and Champagne in these shimp
and old castles and villages and this and that, and
people would get in a car and drive. So they
sold more tires. I mean, but they became the elite

(01:29:51):
guide for Europe. It finally came here, I don't know
a decade or so go maybe fifteen twenty years ago,
and it's slowly going into cities in New York. So
one micheline star is incredible, two or three threes three
is like super doll.

Speaker 13 (01:30:04):
I mean, can give you a nod?

Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
So I give you.

Speaker 13 (01:30:07):
I think it's called you just got excuse me?

Speaker 2 (01:30:11):
Who knew that? Scary?

Speaker 3 (01:30:13):
Uh?

Speaker 13 (01:30:13):
Look, it's scary, Like.

Speaker 8 (01:30:15):
How do you lose a star? What has to happen
for you to lose?

Speaker 19 (01:30:17):
Well, it's like inspectors. They have inspectors that go in.
It could be descor could be price point versus quality,
could be fatigue.

Speaker 13 (01:30:24):
You know fresh table.

Speaker 2 (01:30:27):
Yeah, yeah, they probably.

Speaker 19 (01:30:30):
Look at some of your other overall scores.

Speaker 2 (01:30:32):
I stand corrected. It's Massa that went went went down?
Did they not per Se Yeah? Massa? So speaking of
per Se so Dea Keller Thomas Keller. He has a
restaurant out in California. Called Beauchamp. Uh yeah, somebody uh
French laundry, huge restaurant actually closed it for a few
days to come open. Per se. Here in New York City,
they both got three stars within months of each other.

(01:30:54):
And uh, it's it pays the bills.

Speaker 13 (01:30:57):
But he also lost that star.

Speaker 20 (01:30:58):
Here in New York City, person lost a star a
few years ago, if you remember, and Thomas Keller took
out a full page ad in the New York Times. Uh,
someone should fact check me, but I'm sure it was
in New York Times when he absolutely accepted losing a
star and kind of apologized to his people, to his
staff and to the consumers, saying that he deserved to

(01:31:21):
lose it, and he's gonna work better and get it.

Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
Was great, two stars, one star, even a nod for Michelin.
Michelin is a big, big thing.

Speaker 6 (01:31:29):
I didn't really where it came from.

Speaker 20 (01:31:31):
But there are great chefs who have never gotten the
Mili Michelin star. I mean, honestly, it wouldn't in my
I know, I'm on David Burke's time, but David Burke,
sorry not Burke, but Alvis doesn't know who his guest is.

Speaker 13 (01:31:45):
And so if I screw up.

Speaker 4 (01:31:46):
God.

Speaker 13 (01:31:47):
I mean, he could be talking with you, Nigella Lawson.

Speaker 2 (01:31:50):
Did you get to the point.

Speaker 20 (01:31:52):
Well, you know, when I was young, when Alvis and
I were young school girls, we used to only go
to Michelin restaurants.

Speaker 13 (01:32:03):
Now, I mean, I don't want to go to them.
I don't want a ten course meal.

Speaker 20 (01:32:07):
I don't want to be you know, I don't want
to be educated on what I'm eating and be told
what wine.

Speaker 2 (01:32:12):
I mean to pay that money?

Speaker 20 (01:32:14):
Yeah, I mean, listen, I appreciate a Michelin star and
it's great, but I just as much appreciate a small,
local mom and pop restaurant that has worked hard.

Speaker 2 (01:32:22):
To be great.

Speaker 13 (01:32:23):
And guess what, they're busy without a star.

Speaker 19 (01:32:25):
And there's a time commitment to dining, dine, fine dining,
dining with.

Speaker 13 (01:32:29):
Every three hours to eat. That like that except Elvis,
who has like worked four hours a day.

Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
But it's the truth.

Speaker 13 (01:32:34):
Stop, it's true, four hours.

Speaker 2 (01:32:36):
I want to get to one more point before Lee
takes over the entire world mom and pop restaurants. No
matter where you're listening to us, in this country of ours,
in your town, there is an incredible place that is
simple to get into they're nice, they're everyday people like
you and me, and you got to support them. As

(01:32:57):
a matter of fact, two years in a row, the
Burger Bash well and the New York City Wine and
Food Festival actually recognize this little restaurant down by where
I live, downtown called Elsa's Own. It's a Dominican place
that they won the Burger Bash with their burger, which
is this unfriggin real and all the food there is
this Dominican, great, incredible food, and they actually brought the

(01:33:19):
burger into us. We ate it, We loved them. Those
are the restaurants that not only tell the story of
the passion of the people in the restaurant, but also
the history of the food, the culture. Those are the
places we should be supported, absolutely the backbone of America.
In addition to the great restaurants like you have, well, I.

Speaker 19 (01:33:38):
Think those well, those are where people start. You gotta
work really hard in the mom of pop or a
solely owned place. And another thing is the suburban restaurants.
You gotta work hard. Two weeks you have no conventioneers,
no corporate accounts, so you got the same customers, so
that you have to change menus more often because you
got the same people coming in every month of every
two weeks. So I have the cities as hard as

(01:34:00):
they are to compete and the price of rent and
labor and all that, but you have the bodies here,
so you know you can you can capitalize on the
traffic and then the burds.

Speaker 2 (01:34:10):
You gotta work hard support these restaurants. I'll tell you why,
because one day we've seen it happen over and over,
they will go out of business and you'll be like,
oh god, I love that restaurant. Well, if you loved it,
you would have gone and they would still be in business.
You would have wrote a young review, yeah, yeah, to
say something nice and ye scary, you know what. And
if you're gonna go, if you're gonna play the reviews game,
go on and say good things. It's usually people only
review if it's bad. David, we love you. We always

(01:34:32):
love when you come. See you see you guys. All right.
Sea Hawk Prime they have two restaurants in one location.
There's the fine dining of course, the incredible stakes and
also you can go in and there's a more of
a sports sea.

Speaker 19 (01:34:45):
Event space with the indoor golfs called the Birdie not
a little bit in January. The Sea Ork Prime should
have been opened first week of December, okay, and we're
excited about it, and uh, you know we're still rocking
in Jersey and New York and all that other.

Speaker 2 (01:35:00):
Congratulations on getting into the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 19 (01:35:01):
Oh that's great. I really really am proud of that.
And you know it's gonna be uh, it's gonna be nice.

Speaker 2 (01:35:07):
You know, David Burke would love you. Lee. Hi, I'm
not done with you. Thank you for coming to save you.

Speaker 3 (01:35:15):
Burke.

Speaker 2 (01:35:15):
Hey, Hey, Tad, Lee Schrager.

Speaker 16 (01:35:20):
Waking up in the morning taking him on so many things.

Speaker 1 (01:35:25):
Tell Vis Duran in the Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (01:35:45):
Raham and the Morning Show Listen, my god.

Speaker 2 (01:35:48):
What today? What's I win? Whispering about? We have your whispring,
yea yong. If you're gonna be whispering about something, you
have to you have to say what it's about.

Speaker 6 (01:35:54):
No, you're doing it on the air.

Speaker 2 (01:35:56):
Gandhi walked in and whispered something you d Danielle.

Speaker 6 (01:35:58):
We were just talking about the food and have the
listen today.

Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
It really is. David Burke is such a great guy.
And if you're in radio, you're Philadelphia, you know who
Bob Burke is. It's an easy mistake to make. Bob's
a good friend of mine. We take we hug each
other and take pictures.

Speaker 6 (01:36:10):
I love that so much. I don't know why.

Speaker 13 (01:36:11):
I love that you did that.

Speaker 2 (01:36:12):
By calling Bob. I meant you know what I meant.

Speaker 7 (01:36:14):
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:36:15):
I don't you know Bob? Of course I do. He's
a Philly guy. He's great. That's what I just said.

Speaker 13 (01:36:19):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:36:20):
Of course, what do you think? Where's it? You're talking?
Because we're having fun? I did Lee Schrager here mess
making a mess and at all making a mess. I
don't have sound. Can you come fix him? Where is
the volume? It's the volume, it's his headphone volume.

Speaker 8 (01:36:38):
If you're going to be a co host, you have
to learn the equipment.

Speaker 13 (01:36:41):
I thought it would turn on automatro. Now put your
hand on the knob and turn.

Speaker 2 (01:36:48):
So many years. Can we talk about Carlo's Bakery down
the hall. They came in today too, Buddy, I love buddy.

Speaker 11 (01:36:59):
Can I just say Nate and I were discussing that
every morning I come in here with good intentions that
today's the day my diet starts, and I go, I'm
going to resist everything that comes in today, and then
I don't resist the damn thing.

Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
Today. I'm so packed with food today.

Speaker 14 (01:37:16):
Crazy Diamond and I were discussing in the podcast actually today,
whether or not we have a lawsuit against this place
for making us chubby ars.

Speaker 2 (01:37:25):
Oh, stop, that's not going to work.

Speaker 8 (01:37:26):
I kind of think we do.

Speaker 2 (01:37:28):
I'll tell you this. I did take my boys out
for dinner last night, Nate and Scary. We went out
to dinner with our friend Lydia where'd you go? And
we went to Poros excellent version Greek down in Tribecca.
It's fantastic Greek food. Oh it's so good. We had
a great night. It was good, but we hung out,
had a couple of bottles of wine. It was a
good night.

Speaker 18 (01:37:47):
Swift has been spotted there too.

Speaker 6 (01:37:49):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:37:49):
Okay, well there's that, but what does that mean?

Speaker 1 (01:37:54):
You know?

Speaker 13 (01:37:54):
The food connoisseury that she is. Oh no, no, not
like her.

Speaker 3 (01:37:59):
I like her.

Speaker 2 (01:37:59):
She goes a great place, she does. If Taylor goes there,
you know, it's probably gonna get a lot of people going. Yeah,
I know. She goes to the corner store all the time,
she and she likes, which is close to her apartment. Anyway, Uh,
let's go around the room and if you want, you
announce that I'm here, Lee Schrager is here. That was
some welcome. You've done nothing but bitch at me since

(01:38:23):
you walked in the door. You've been so mean to me.
I missed you. What what what? I'm sorry, You're You're right,
ladies and gentlemen, the one and only Lee Schrager. I'm back.

Speaker 13 (01:38:38):
Hello, bitches, I'm back.

Speaker 2 (01:38:44):
For the next three and a half minutes. We're gonna
go around the room and you know how this works, right,
you've done this before. Well, what tell me what Everyone
in the room is going to say, just something that's
on their mind and maybe a piece of philosophy or
maybe the one that congratulates someone, or to talk about
something they just read. Whatever, and we will make you
last time me get to you on you'll understand what
it is, you'll know what to submit. Let's start with

(01:39:06):
Gandhi GANI, what's on your mind today?

Speaker 14 (01:39:07):
I just wanted to encourage everybody to do what I
do and carry a pack of thank you cards with them,
because you never know when you're going to want to
give one to somebody. And it's a tiny little gesture,
but it makes a big difference. And I have noticed
how excited people get when you hand them a handwritten
thank you card.

Speaker 8 (01:39:22):
So just do it. You will thank yourselves later, but.

Speaker 13 (01:39:24):
You do it like as you go along throughout the day.

Speaker 14 (01:39:27):
No, but like if I if Elvis says something for
me that's nice today, I have thank you cards. I
will write it today and I will give it to
him tomorrow.

Speaker 8 (01:39:33):
Ready forget Yeah.

Speaker 20 (01:39:34):
Oh yeah, you must have too much time in your hands.

Speaker 2 (01:39:42):
All right, Just understand, Lee's here. No matter what great
thing you say, he is going to slice it in
dice Producer Sam, what's on your mind makes.

Speaker 8 (01:39:50):
Me so much more excited for mine?

Speaker 9 (01:39:51):
Right now?

Speaker 4 (01:39:52):
Okay, So I've been getting a lot of direct questions,
so I feel like I need to address this. And
I'm not upset by any of them because they're so
well intended, But I've recently been extremely vocal about my
IBF journey, and then I kind of got a little quiet,
and a lot of people are just straight up coming
in my dms, basically strangers, although loving strangers, asking me
very personal questions.

Speaker 8 (01:40:13):
And just know, if someone's quiet.

Speaker 4 (01:40:15):
About that, it's because they're not currently ready to share
what they're going through or what they're experiencing. So I promise,
when there's something I want you guys to know, and
there's something to know, and there's something I'm ready to say,
it will be said. I'll keep you guys posted on
the journey. I want y'all to come with me. It
was just a very vulnerable whiplash to be so open
about something so important, and I needed to take a

(01:40:36):
back seat.

Speaker 8 (01:40:37):
For a little while.

Speaker 2 (01:40:38):
And your journey continues.

Speaker 8 (01:40:39):
That's why journey continues.

Speaker 2 (01:40:40):
Absolutely, the story unfolds, yes straight Nate today is playing
Monopoly day, it is, and I started thinking about playing Monopoly.
I'm sure we've all played it in this room, right.
I tell you, lia Lea is so wealthy. He plays
with real streets, one of the little pawns. My question

(01:41:06):
to you all listening, have you ever finished a game
of Monopoly, Yes, you finished it. I win every single time.
Someone throwing the board across the room. No, no, don't
play with Sam.

Speaker 8 (01:41:18):
Just don't win with Sam, saying you.

Speaker 2 (01:41:21):
Play with sore losers. Apparently, so I have never ever
finished a game. I've never won because it's never been finished.
Somebody always takes the board and flings it across the room.
That's not good.

Speaker 6 (01:41:33):
Have you left it?

Speaker 11 (01:41:34):
I've left and come back to it later because the
game takes forever, so you have you can't do.

Speaker 2 (01:41:38):
You play it by the board rules. It does take forever.
I win every time.

Speaker 13 (01:41:43):
I'm a very cheater.

Speaker 2 (01:41:45):
I'm not a cheater. I'm very aggressive because at the
end of the day, it's not real money. If you
remember that and stop stop trying to save it. It's
okay to be aggressive, but you know what you you
are owed here on Monopoly Day, full game of Monopoly
with no no tim, I don't play with you all
in the room. Beat me with the battles Battleship different games,

(01:42:08):
that's different. Hey, Danielle, what's with you?

Speaker 8 (01:42:11):
All right?

Speaker 11 (01:42:11):
It takes a lot for a Broadway show nowadays to
be around for a while. So last night I got
to see and Juliet for the umptienth time. You know,
it's what I faved three years on Broadway, and I
just want to say congratulations to them.

Speaker 6 (01:42:25):
It was amazing.

Speaker 11 (01:42:26):
I know Garrett has some sound where all three original
Juliettes took the stage at the end of the night.
If there is something you love like this, or a
show that you love like this, or just something in general,
go support it. Because things are not always around, and
the fact that this show is that special it's still here,
go and support. Go support Broadway, go sport anything local
in your area. And I love the cast of Juliet

(01:42:48):
and everybody that works there, So thank you guys.

Speaker 2 (01:42:49):
Last night was your nights Night's time.

Speaker 9 (01:42:51):
I think.

Speaker 11 (01:42:53):
We're going to be doing something with them next year,
I think, which I might be very excited.

Speaker 2 (01:42:56):
About it and that one. But also, were you in Lion.

Speaker 9 (01:43:03):
That's another amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:43:03):
Show I played in the ling. I'm going to tell
you the birth of a new show here at least
for now. Chess is now open and running. You saw
it in the night and leaving. Yeah, another add that
to my list of things that need to say. Scary,
what's up with.

Speaker 18 (01:43:18):
You can't a grown ass? Man wear mittens and not
be judged. I saw a guy wearing mittens the other day.
Mittens are for cats.

Speaker 2 (01:43:25):
Wait a second, well or kids.

Speaker 18 (01:43:28):
I saw a guy wearing mittens and I'm like, oh
my god, I should probably dig out my own mittens maybe.
And I told some people about it, and they're like, dude,
that's not a good look for you.

Speaker 1 (01:43:36):
Bro.

Speaker 20 (01:43:36):
That's what's on your mind today, That's what's on my mind.

Speaker 2 (01:43:40):
I've seen a grown man wearing mittens. I guess it
doesn't exist.

Speaker 8 (01:43:44):
Mends are actually warmer than gloves, I know.

Speaker 2 (01:43:46):
Because all your fingers are. Yeah, I'm stupid. I mean
I know gloves and I think you know what mittens are.
Can you give me the definitive answer. What's the difference.

Speaker 14 (01:43:53):
It's the thing that looks like the state of Michigan
and there are no fingers, individual.

Speaker 2 (01:43:57):
Fingers and forefingers separated.

Speaker 18 (01:44:01):
A potholder with a thumb.

Speaker 2 (01:44:02):
Yeah, well then we're just wear potholders. Be ready for
the kitchen.

Speaker 18 (01:44:05):
Don't understand, like, I never see a man wearing mittens.

Speaker 6 (01:44:08):
Grown men do it?

Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
I never you have.

Speaker 4 (01:44:10):
Not only does William wear mittens, but he has one
where it's just like you and a hollow so we
could hold hands through them.

Speaker 2 (01:44:18):
I'm gonna vomit, Lee sregor. Do you wear mittens?

Speaker 3 (01:44:24):
No?

Speaker 13 (01:44:24):
I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (01:44:26):
You wear them right? Well, no, no you can't. You
need to grisp. So I'm just saying, okay, get close
to the microphone. So now that's what around the room
is about. What do you want to submit? Well, you
gotta go in.

Speaker 20 (01:44:36):
Case, in case you hear in case you run into
me and there's beeping. I bought a pair of paints
yesterday and they forgot to take out the alarm, so
it's like sticking into me and I try to cut
it out, but it wouldn't come out.

Speaker 13 (01:44:50):
So now I'm beeping all day. So I think I'm beeping.
Now there's a vibration coming out of there. So you
run into me somewhere and I'm beeping.

Speaker 2 (01:45:01):
Can you take it back to the store and say, yo,
you got to take this out? I have to. It's
so irritating when they don't take it out. I get
mad at him.

Speaker 13 (01:45:08):
And when I left the story, it beat, but I
thought it was somebody else.

Speaker 2 (01:45:11):
I beat you beaped.

Speaker 20 (01:45:12):
Yeah, I have to take all the pants back today.

Speaker 14 (01:45:14):
He pulled all the way out because the senser is
in the pocket and he's like help.

Speaker 20 (01:45:20):
So I get dressed last night, I'm late and I'm
like walking out the door and I say, what is that?
Maybe it's like money they left in there? Oh god,
I have to hurry up. Forget it, Nate, I'm getting
pulled it off the shower ready. No, no, should we
take a break, but go back to the store. Can
you tell us for your bottom?

Speaker 1 (01:45:37):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:45:37):
Oh yeah, because Amazon doesn't beeps all right, not target,
you know what? And if you're in retail, I know
it's it's really rough dealing with people, likely in all
of us. Uh. You got to remember to take those
those tags out because it are annoying. It's really bad
customer service.

Speaker 13 (01:45:56):
It is horrible.

Speaker 2 (01:45:57):
All right, you take it back? All right? Well, there
you go. We went around the road.

Yeah, and last night they added a new song that
they performed from Ariana Grande, Yes End.

Speaker 2 (01:49:41):
Bush Lipsick. We were there for that.

Speaker 11 (01:49:50):
It was actually the encore and it was the three
original Juliets took the stage together and sang that song
was so cool.

Speaker 21 (01:49:57):
Your favorite musical and if you missed the beginning of
our show, we started with the holiday classic from Froggy
sounds like Yeah. So many years ago we found what
goats sound like when they scream.

Speaker 2 (01:50:17):
So there was a that is a goat. There was
like Nate's girlfriend when they were at my house. My,
oh my god. Anyway, that was that was that was
scary in there.

Speaker 3 (01:50:28):
All right.

Speaker 21 (01:50:29):
So there was a Detroit go ahead who was who
was running away from a goat and he actually sounds
like a goat when he jumps up onto his car.
Sounds just like him, and he reminds us of someone
on our show, Scotty screams just like that. Why do
you scream like that?

Speaker 2 (01:50:46):
It's involuntary? He does you have you have him screaming.
This is the actual sound of Scotty screaming that it
was him.

Speaker 21 (01:51:03):
And then finally the last night, Jimmy Fallon had Ariana
Grande on and they performed some duets together.

Speaker 2 (01:51:18):
It's I love Jimmy and they do off the top
right out there. He does great.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
