Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know, Vista Ran and the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
So the invite from Gandhi was it was very simple, Hey,
I'm walking in a fashion show for a great cause.
Do you guys want to go? And I said, okay,
so Danielle and I absolutely yeah. Then I fast started
finding out more about what this night was about last night,
and it even beyond how great I was expecting it
(00:23):
to be. You want to explain everything because it's just
incredible what you did last night.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Oh that's so nice of you.
Speaker 4 (00:28):
Well, shout out to the Verma Foundation because this is
all them. On Natasha Verma on Fox five, she had cancer.
She was diagnosed with cancer years ago and she lost
all of her hair, as a lot of people do
when they're going through chemo and radiation and all of that.
And she was really upset about it because you know,
it's hard, as I know, to lose your hair. It's
sad and it's just difficult. So wigs are hot, the things,
(00:51):
the toppers, they're hot. So she came up with capwigs,
which is just a baseball hat that has hat hair,
real hair hanging down from it. And they look amazing, amazing,
real human hair.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
You can sil it.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
You can do stuff with it, and it keeps you
from being so hot and sweating, and you just pop
it on, pop it off. You don't have to spend
all this time trying to fix your hair after you've
lost it, which is tough enough on its own, and
now you have all these other challenges.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
So she created these capwigs and it was a capwalk yesterday.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
So people, the models were people who had all gotten
through cancer or are currently fighting it, and they lost
their hair and they were walking down the runway with
the caps on it and it looks so great.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
And at the end they took the caps off to
show how beautiful they looked even without hair, and it
was it was very emotional.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
It was a very moving You're right, it was a
moving emotional night. I mean, especially if you or someone
you know has been hit by cancer. And I think
that's all of us. We've all known someone. If not us, yep,
you're like, okay, wow. The courage to get up there
and say, hey, you know what one of the things,
(01:53):
one of the many things about cancer. With some of
these treatments, you lose your hair, and so it could
be oh, it's your life, who cares about your hair? Well, no,
it's not that simple. Your hair is a lot of
your identity.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
Oh for sure. And Natasha is Indian, just like me.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
And there was another Indian woman who also walked and
we were talking about how, you know, Indian people specifically,
they put so much stock and value in their hair.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
We do that.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
It's not great, it's not the best thing, but we
do so, especially you know, when.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
You get hit with this. It was a multi layered
damn it. It was crazy.
Speaker 6 (02:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
And if you're going through life and death situation like cancer.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yeah, you know what to.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Add the loss of hair to the list of things.
It's like, you just want to be normal. Yeah, and
part of not being normal just losing your hair during
chemotherapy or whatever. Anyways, but last night was just so moving.
Nicole Miller, by the way, she is a designer. She's
been doing fashion design for many years. She's, i mean,
one of the biggest titan in the industry, in the
(02:53):
fashion industry, and you guys were all wearing her stuff
last night. She was there. Yeah, I'm like, I can't
believe I'm in the room. Nicole Miller. I mean, she's huge.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
It was so cool.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
It was so cool, and I will not say what
you did, but thank you for what you did. Yes,
it was so awesome that I was. As soon as
I heard it, I was like, I know who that is.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
They were auctioning off lunch with Nicole Miller. Yeah, and
I'm like, oh my god, my mom and a lot
of women in my family they have they've had Nicole
Miller in their their closets for years. I'm like, oh
my god, she's sitting right there, and and Gandhi and
all these wonderful, wonderful people are wearing her stuff. Tonight.
It was all beautiful and I had an opportunity to. Okay,
so we're gonna go to Nicole Miller's showroom in her offices,
(03:34):
and we're gonna have lunch with her. She's gonna mix
up Martini's. She wants to come to jingle Ball And
then again she said, because I can get better tickets
than Bob Pittman.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
That's so funny.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
Hey, he's so funny because he turns to me and
he goes, watch this, and then he bids on it
and he outpit the guy like two seats from me,
and the guy came over to us and goes, yeah, congratulations.
Speaker 7 (03:56):
It was not happening.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
It was such a moving night and I was expecting
something great. I was not expecting something over the top fantastic.
Thank you so much for in finding you have everyone
the information because these hats, it's something as simple as
a nice really cool cap yep. And then the hair
is connected to the cap, and.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
She said, you get to pick the color cap you want.
You get to pick the color hair you want, the length,
the style, everything.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
If you know anyone, a woman, a child who's going
through whatever makes them lose their hair, to be able
to pop this thing on and not even give it
two seconds thought and walk out and feel great about yourself.
What a fantastic idea. And they don't make any money
off this thing right into making these things.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
You can buy it for somebody if you want to,
but you can also apply and just get one if
you have lost your hair and Elvis what you did yesterday,
you gave so many people these cafwigs, So thank you
because that's amazing.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
It's really really cool.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
So how can people look this up?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
You can go to Verma Foundation dot org.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
It's a Verma v r m A foundation dot org
and you can see all the different styles and the
different hair colors and the hats. They're actually partnering now
with a lot of teams nationwide. The Jets were there, Yeah,
they had And we had a lot of celebrities yesterday
walking people.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Down down the runway. Rosanna was there, Santa Scotta, A.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Lot of football players were there. Oh yeah, who did
I sit next to?
Speaker 8 (05:17):
You?
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Sat next to Devin mccordy.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Grew up listening to our show.
Speaker 7 (05:21):
Yes he did. He sat down. We were like, look
at this little cute over here.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
He said, Elvis, I used to listen to your show
when I was a kid. I'm like, oh my god,
I'm so old.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
No, there were so many people who were like, oh
my god, Elison, Danielle, Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
And then we listened to them all the time.
Speaker 7 (05:34):
We always got kicked in the face by break dancers.
That was awesome.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
They had these break dancers.
Speaker 7 (05:40):
They were awesome.
Speaker 5 (05:41):
And at the end of it, the guy comes over,
he goes, hey, I hope it in kicky in the face,
and we were like no, He's like, yeah, we took
a real chance up.
Speaker 7 (05:48):
There, but we did good.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I said, you did great.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
I could feel the rush of the breeze from his
foot running right past my nose.
Speaker 7 (05:57):
It was cool.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
When I was watching them practice, I was like, this
is wild.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah, what's up, Froggy.
Speaker 9 (06:01):
You met Devin mccordy made he won three Super Bowls
with Tom Brady. That's pretty awesome Tom Brady, I.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Said, right next to him, the nicest guy. That's so awesome.
I met so many celebrities. I met him, I met
Nicole Miller. I mean the best friend.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
Diamond's favorite football player of all time, Solomon Diamond.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Oh my god, you should see him in pants? That
man is you love to see him out of pants?
Speaker 10 (06:26):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Yeah, I was telling Elvis. I was like, yeah, Diamond.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Loves Thompson, Solomon Thompson, Thomas, Solomon Thomas. I was like,
Diamond loves him, and I was goes, oh the one,
the first one that walked at the nice butt.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Oh, you would have loved it last night. He would
have left that girlfriend of his for you. I'm sure.
All right, Danielle, let's get go anyway. Thank you so much.
It's it's Verma Foundation v E R M A.
Speaker 7 (06:47):
Yes, that was awesome and you looked beautiful and I
did great.
Speaker 11 (06:52):
One.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah, there's more to it, so it was late at
night when it was not later that for us, it
was what nine thirty it ended? Yep, So what do
we do? We went out for Denn went down to
tamer and had some Indian food, didn't get home till late.
It was fantastic. Okay, now dead night, Danielle go go.
Speaker 7 (07:06):
All right, So let's talk about the lady Gaga.
Speaker 5 (07:09):
You guys know she has been like kind of giving
us a little hints that something's to come in. Well,
she is releasing an album this Friday called Harlequin. It's
a thirteen track companion album to The New Joker Why
and she's very excited about it. Titles like Smile the
Joker and That's Life. And it's unclear if any of
these songs are covers, originals, maybe a mix of both,
(07:29):
but we know that we're getting.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
We heard part of one earlier. Yeah, oh yeah, it's Gaga.
Speaker 5 (07:34):
Come on, yes, amazing. Jelly Roll he made his acting debut.
So if you happen to watch the second episode from
this season of Tulsa King, you're probably so familiar face
because Jelly Roll made his acting debut across from Sylvester Stallone.
Now Jelly plays himself and in the scene he's walking
through a crowd and then he stops to meet Sylvester,
who accidentally calls him jellyfish.
Speaker 7 (07:56):
Here's a little piece, Do we have it?
Speaker 8 (07:58):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Okay, three, here we go. That's how it work. But
you know, you got good benefits.
Speaker 8 (08:03):
Yeah, and we also get a lot of cool stuff
people leave on the floor after a concert.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
I got it, speaking of I got to go in here,
tidy up right quick?
Speaker 12 (08:11):
You as soon?
Speaker 8 (08:11):
You got to try to say, you know, I mean,
how hard can.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
It really be? This guy's a little delusion.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
He thought he was a janitor. By the way, that's
what that whole thing's about.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
It's some typical Yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
So lads, Bez has hinted that year we got some
instinct action on the way. It's not a Las Vegas presidency,
which how cool would that be? That would be pretty
damn cool. But he says, we are actually talking. He
was telling this to Entertainment tonight and he said, yeah,
we you know, Joey Fatone just said there's no formal
plans yet, but Lance said, we are definitely talking, so
we'll see what happens.
Speaker 7 (08:43):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (08:44):
The eleventh person has accused Diddy. They have come forward.
I don't know if you heard the story yesterday, but
it was really brutal. Her name is Salia Graves and
she talked about a brutal, brutal sexual assault in two
thousand and one by Ditty and his bodyguard. She use
them of drugging, restraining, raping, and filming without her knowledge.
(09:04):
So yeah, it's just it's getting worse and worse. And
by the way, oh didd he's not eating in prison now,
and they're saying the reason he's not eating is the
food is disgusting. Well, we're so sorry that the food
is disgusting. Where's just when we we get catering for you?
What should we bring in the catering collar? God, I
don't think so. And they're also saying that he's worried
that people might poison his food, because you know, when
(09:26):
he's in there, if maybe there's someone working on the inside,
you never know what's that face?
Speaker 7 (09:30):
Nate?
Speaker 2 (09:30):
What Nate? Isn't the food bad enough? I mean, seriously,
poison make it taste bad exactly? Maybe like the perfect spike.
Speaker 7 (09:38):
You never know? And are you excited about this megalopolis?
Speaker 13 (09:42):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
They're wondering if it's going to do anything. They're thinking
The Wild Robot is going to win the box office
this weekend. But this megalap it costs one hundred and
twenty million dollars for Francis Ford Coppola to make it,
and he took the money out of his own pocket
to make it, and they're saying that it might They
think five million this weekend, So that's a loss so far.
The Mass Singer, Chicago Mad, Chicago Fire, they're all back
(10:08):
the floor. You've got oh in Chicago, Pete and everybody
still hates Chris Is On tonight. You've got Insight out
too on Disney Plus it's streaming so you can't see that.
Speaker 7 (10:17):
Make sure you see that. And that's my Danielle report.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
So speaking of Danielle, I can't believe you're doing it
another year. Sucks such, don't see what it is. Okay,
we had so much fun doing it last year. We're
gonna do it again this year. If you're wondering what
we're talking about, it's all coming up in like fifteen minutes.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Ever wondered what we look like?
Speaker 11 (10:35):
Do you think I look in bread?
Speaker 6 (10:36):
I do?
Speaker 1 (10:37):

Speaker 7 (11:00):
Not yet, not yet, okay, okay, I'm not pregnant.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
On an unrelated note, speaking of Danielle, is she doing
her Haunted House again? Oh my god, I gotta. I
gotta go there this year.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
No.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
I know a lot of people were saying that they
should have gone last year.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
Maybe so good last year.
Speaker 7 (11:18):
I wonder.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Last year Danielle hosted her Hallow Scream. Yes, Blood Manor
downtown here in Manhattan. I loved it.
Speaker 7 (11:26):
It was our first one.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
I couldn't say in character though, because we were the
makeup was just flawless, and we were in this beautifully
done haunted house. Blood matters the best. Yeah, And people
were like, oh, come on, I was give me get
a picture when you're like.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
You know, I did not break character until like the
end of the night, and people kept trying and they.
Speaker 7 (11:46):
Were like Wow, I'm like, uh uh, it has not
happened this year. I mean, if it happens this year.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Then maybe Anyway, not related to that, a big announcement
on the way, Hey, how's this this peach blueberry pie?
This stuff is oh my Melick's farm every year of
the peach blueberry pie my favorite. There's a there's some
point in.
Speaker 10 (12:07):
Your life where you appreciate the crust more than the filling.
I'm at that age that that is a banging crust.
I've been loving crust since I was a kid. Anyway,
you just try it, you love it. You know, the
peaches in it, it's just just so super fresh. It's
like they just came off the tree.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Well, you know, they grow their own peaches. They're not
using the can stuff. No, I know a lot of
people love it in the can, like Scottie B. Scotty B. Yeah,
they used real, like real fresh peace.
Speaker 13 (12:30):
I thought it was like, you know, they were gonna
use del Monte cling peaches and the big heavy syrup can.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
But no, these are fresh frog. You should fly up
for these this pie. I'm on the way very good. Anyway,
We're still kind of glowing from last night's event the
Verma Foundation, Verma Foundation, Uh cap walk. I loved it.
You know what I was thinking the whole time. I
wish my husband Alex would have been there, pardon me,
because he went through chemotherapy, he lost his hair. You know,
(12:57):
I was thinking about what these strong, strong women who
were modeling last night, with what they've been through, what
they're going through, and what they may still have to
go through, you know, rolling through cancer, And what an
incredible idea. Just put a cap on, it's got hair
already on it, You're ready to go. And you would think, oh,
it sounds a little too simple. Yeah, you know what,
isn't it funny in life how the most incredible, incredible
(13:21):
things that move us forward are always the answers are
always there. It's always a simple answer.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
So simple and so easy. And I was just I
was blown away by how good they looks. Because when
you say a hat with hair, it sort of sounds
like a costume. You know, you have those hats to
have the dreadlocks on it. And you're like, okay, which
I actually got your husband when he lost his hair,
I've sent him those, But these looks so great.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
They looked really really good.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Wow, anyway, what are we doing here? Do we have
a game coming up? Don't we? Are you working on one?
Speaker 7 (13:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (13:48):
It's not done yet.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Though, right, it will be done in the next commercial break.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
All right, what are you working on?
Speaker 3 (13:53):
One hit Wonder day? Baby?
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yeah? It is wonder. Think about that one hit wonder
in your life. Have you come up with a list
of others other than the one I started with today?
Speaker 8 (14:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I got him in my head. Oh oh wow, if
only we could get in there, you, I know, the
combination is Scary's head.
Speaker 14 (14:09):
Four.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
Oh my god, wow, hey, oh? Today is National Lobster Day.
Danielle oh see, daniel hate seafood, but one time I
sat there and watched her eat lobster and you loved it.
Speaker 5 (14:21):
So we had a Z one hundred birthday part and
no Christmas party, and it was at Windows of the World,
which used to be in the World Trade Center. Yeah,
top floor, and it was an amazing party and the
lobster was delicious. I had never had it before. I
ate the whole thing. And then I said, yeah, but
I don't like lobster.
Speaker 7 (14:38):
Everybody's like, but you don't make any sense. You ate
the whole thing. You said it was good. But now
you're back there. You don't like lobster, Yeah, you're coming,
and I have in my head that I don't like it.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
You're in just weird.
Speaker 15 (14:46):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
It's okay, you don't have to like it. But you know, lobster.
Now people they considered it a luxury item because it's
so expensive. But back in the day, that's what they
fed prisoners. Yeah, because that's all they had because it
was so cheap to like harvest all these lobsters, lucky
lucky douckies exactly. Anyway, So if you have a chance
to have a little lobster, maybe some bisk, maybe a
(15:09):
little a little roll lobster roll.
Speaker 5 (15:12):
I told you guys that story about my poor son,
because we used to visit the lobsters at the grocery
store in the tank and then when there were less lobsters,
he would be convinced.
Speaker 7 (15:21):
Oh mom, people adopted the lobsters.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
And he was literally was so excited until we went
to a barbecue at a friend's house and everybody had
a lobster on their plate and then he goes, ma,
you like to make.
Speaker 16 (15:33):
He was.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
He was just into lobsters. Can you imagine going to
a barbecue and there's like cats on the grill.
Speaker 7 (15:41):
I don't want to go to that barbecue.
Speaker 17 (15:43):
What's believe we are a couple of weeks away from
stone crab season. I think the first two weeks in October,
because I look forward to that.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
I love that. I love they can just rip a
leg off those things and they just regenerate another one.
Speaker 18 (15:56):
I know.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
I wish we could do that. I mean, I don't
want to try. I'll pull a leg off of you, Nate. Yeah, right,
which is going to right or left? I hear all
boys from Erie, Pennsylvania regenerate their legs. All right, let's
find out start yanked anyway. I beg your pardon. All right,
I've gotten down a list of stuff that really has
no value whatsoever except for the Foundation conversation. Hey, Froggy,
(16:18):
we're still waiting for Helene. Helene is on her way.
So who's going to get it the worst? I mean,
is there any way to tell tomorrow who's going to
get popped? What's that noise phone? Who's going to pop
the hardest? Yeah?
Speaker 9 (16:31):
They're saying it's going to come in in the big
ben to Florida there, So right where the mainland of
Florida goes up to the Panhandle. That area like steam Hatch.
He's in there, but it's not. It's not a very
heavily populated area, thank goodness. So that's really kind of
the best place that could go in. But it is
supposed to come ashore tomorrow as a Category three or four.
The good news is it's supposed to be moving really fast,
(16:51):
so it will be more of a wind event than
a rain and water event. We're expecting two to five
inches of rain here in the Jacksonville area.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
All right, well, thank you, keep us updated tomorrow. Helene
rolls through. By the way. Today is also National Casada
Day for those who can't. Can you lobster case?
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Sounds amazing?
Speaker 2 (17:07):
Why not? I'm all right, So big big announcement for
Danielle that's on the way. Also, it's One Hit Wonder Day,
So Gandhi has a game.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Yes, from the first beat.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
From the first beat, you gotta figure out that. It
says to be hard that it's only one song these
people had.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Yeah, but they're big songs.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
All right, all right, we'll get into that in a minute.
And I hope you don't have a lame contestant that diamond,
no lame contestants today. Okay, okay, all right, thank you.
That sounds like we're okay, gona be all right? All right,
Well hang on the big daniel announcement on the way.
We're so excited the.

into it?
Speaker 9 (18:34):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (18:34):
Do it?
Speaker 3 (18:34):
Do it?
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Do it scary? Do you have any scary music? Three?
In three? Here it is you know what your mother
does in Hell? What it's the Exorcist? In four?
Speaker 6 (18:56):

Speaker 2 (18:56):
You know what your mother does in Hell? I'm just
starting over, Okay?
Speaker 7 (19:00):
Is that the Exorcist Elvice?
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Yes to me, one of the most frightening film films
ever made. Yeah, the same anyway, So we have a big,
big announcement. It's time to do it. May I give
you the headlines and then you take over our Danielle.
Were so proud of you.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
Oh thank you.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
It's Danielle's second annual Hello Scream at the world famous
Blood Manor right here in New York City. It's happening
October twenty third. You can join the entire show for
a night of scares. Yes, it's gonna be amazing. And
of course, one hundred percent of the proceeds donated to
Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Joey Lorenzo.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
Yes, and we did this last year, and I remember
a lot of people, a lot of our listeners were like,
oh my gosh, I should have been there. You guys
look like you had the best time ever. We had
the best time ever. Everybody who came out to the
house had a great time. We had so much fun
scaring you. Everyone at Blood Manner is amazing, the people
who do the costumes, the people who do the makeup,
(19:58):
you know, the people who own place. And like we said,
all the proceeds, every single penny you spend goes to
Blood Manner goes to Saint Jude Children's Hospital and you know,
to help the kids, and that's what it's all about.
So we're very excited October twenty third, seven to ten pm.
Speaker 7 (20:18):
And yeah, all of us are going to be in
the house again. We all did it last year, even
the chickens did it last year.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
It was so fun.
Speaker 7 (20:25):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 10 (20:26):
Can we have a lesson for Andrew? Can somebody teach
him how to scare? He was literally seeing boo boom, well,
come to the well, come to the house. Yeah no,
he was kind of lame. But we had such a
good time.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
And of course all the makeup and the costuming that
goes on at Blood Manter we got to experience that.
We sat in the chairs, we got all made up.
It was fabulous and I'm considering last year, even though
it was a huge success, that was a dress rehearsal
for this year.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
Yeah, Budy, this year is going to be bigger and
better than ever. And you're gonna be able to get
your tickets. I think all of our Elvis Durant show.
I know on Blood Manner's website you can go and
you can.
Speaker 7 (21:04):
Get your tickets.
Speaker 5 (21:05):
They're fifty dollars because, like we said, a lot goes
into this and all the money goes to Saint Jude,
and it is worth it. You will have the best
night I had my Remember I wanted to shovel last year.
They made sure I had my shovel and I was
scaring the begz's out of everybody with my shovel.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
The GB's all over the floor.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
And I will be posting pictures from last year and
some video from last year.
Speaker 7 (21:25):
So you can see what it's all about. But you're
gonna want to be part of it. We have the
best time again.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
It's Daniel's second annual Hello Scream at Blood Manor October
twenty third. By the way, it's on Broadway, so I
know I've always wanted to perform on Broadway.
Speaker 7 (21:40):
Yeah, and now you can say you did right.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
You know, I live very close to blood manner. Yes,
and they're already in the windows scaring people during the day.
They have Googles walking around the they do.
Speaker 5 (21:51):
Well, you know it's almost October first, guys, I mean
we're almost officially there.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
September really sped through.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Yeah, so the where doo wacko that runs Blood man
or m Lorenzo. Good morning, Jim, welcome to the show.
We're so excited about this year. Hello, thank you.
Speaker 14 (22:07):
I'm here.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
I'm here. I'm here. Really, I was walking home. I
was walking home the other day, Jim, and right there
in the window of Blood Matter in the middle of day,
you have one of your We weren't even Googles in
the front window scaring the hell out of people walking
down Broadway. We did, Yes, you did? No, Oh, no,
I saw it.
Speaker 7 (22:25):
Really Maybe it was your preview night. It might have
been the preview night.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
It was during the day, Oh it was, I don't know.
Speaker 14 (22:30):
No.
Speaker 6 (22:31):
Yeah, we have a we have some of us staff
that they what they.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Like to do. Oh, I shouldn't, should I say stiff?
Speaker 6 (22:37):
They like to just kind of hang out and get
into the sense of blood manner and getting inside the
window has become a popular thing.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
For them now window shopping and Broadway. We're so excited.
And you know what this year like I'm saying a
second ago. Last year was a lot of fun and
a big success, but it was merely a dress rehearsal
for this year. October twenty third at Blood Manner. Yes,
I have a question for you guys. What's that? So
we spoke last year.
Speaker 6 (23:04):
I said to you, once you get in there and
you get in costume and you get the feel, you're
going to understand what I mean? Did all of you
get the feeling and the understanding of what it's like
to be inside that space?
Speaker 2 (23:15):
Well, it's that place is haunted. Yeah, we know that,
didn't abe Lincoln? He was shot there.
Speaker 5 (23:22):
God, there is this one room there that they do
say is haunted and you walk in and you can
feel something. I walked in and I smelled something and
he said, yep, and it was the only place that
smelled like that.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
Which room was that?
Speaker 5 (23:34):
It's a little room downstairs When we were getting our
makeup done, I'll take you in and year all good?
Speaker 2 (23:40):
So how many how many years have you been at
that location? The Blood man Are location on Broadway.
Speaker 6 (23:46):
Broadway, This is our seventh season, right, the first location
was seven, seven and seven, So I don't understand.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
We're pretty much figured that out. And of course it's
in my neighborhood. I remember the first year, I said, can
you get this out of my neighborhood? The screaming, all
the ghouls walking around, scaring.
Speaker 7 (24:02):
My life, that's like my dream for it.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Minded But no, I'm we're proud to have you as
our neighbor blood man.
Speaker 7 (24:08):
Yeah, thank you.
Speaker 6 (24:09):
Well, we love the neighborhood. It really is fantastic where
we are.
Speaker 5 (24:14):
And we have to say that we are doing this
in honor of Jim's son, Joey, who passed away, and
that's why we know Saint Jude is so close to
your heart.
Speaker 7 (24:23):
Right, So tell us a little bit about that.
Speaker 6 (24:26):
Well, I mean, it's it's listen, it's a it's a
horrible thing to go through, and it's just if you can't,
if you can't find a way to keep moving on
with your life, then it doesn't make sense. I have
other children, I have family, you know, and Joey comes
to us all the time like, yeah, you experienced it
firsthand when they talked about the checkerboardslast yeah, you know,
(24:46):
So He's always around and this is a way that
you know, getting the word out. You know, if you're
young and you what you'll call it, you need to
go get a kolonosk ify kolonosk I be most important.
I don't care if you're thirty, if you're forty, you
know you need to get it. Joey was thirty four
when he got diagnosed and passed the thirty six and
has listen, he had an unbelievable, full, wonderful life. One
(25:10):
hundred and ten fish concerts. You know, beautiful, beautiful wife
Ali and we have we have a lot to be
thankful for. And Joey's with us all the time, all
the time. He's never in the window of Blood Manner,
but he's with us all the time.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
He's listening in right now. Yeah, I love that one hundred. Well,
let me give it to you one more time if
you're just turning us on. Thanks, thank you. By the way.

to Saint Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital and it's an
amazing thing, and we'll see you there. It's going to
be incredible.

Speaker 2 (25:52):

we'll give you a pair of tickets. But you got
to promise us you'll be there. October twenty third, be
called one hundre now one eight hundred two four to

Speaker 5 (26:11):

Speaker 3 (26:21):
They did such a good job with the makeup.
Speaker 15 (26:23):

Speaker 4 (26:23):
We all went out at the end and we took
pictures of everybody who was there and was waiting, and
there were so many people who were talking to us
and they were like, where's Gandhi.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
I'm like right here. You couldn't even talk about it's
so crazy.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
They need they need to totally mutilate my face this
year because people don't know how I was like, oh,
thank you, Jim, jam Lorenzo of course, from the world
famous blood manner. It's gonna be a great season, wouldn't
you officially open the season?

Speaker 4 (27:34):
The leader of a Haitian nonprofit group is filing criminal
charges against Donald Trump and his running mate JD.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Vance.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
The charges, made through.
Speaker 4 (27:40):
An Ohio law that allows private citizens to file charges,
were filed after both Trump and Vance made claims about
Haitian immigrants eating pets in Springfield, Ohio. The co founder
of the Haitian Bridge Alliance says Trump and Vance has
led an effort to vilify and threaten the Haitian community
in Springfield, and they are not safe. The CEO of
Novo Nordisk is in hot water over the rising costs
(28:00):
of the company's popular weight loss drugs o Zempic and
we govy. On Tuesday, senators question Lars Jorgensen and demanded
answers for why the US faces higher prices for those
drugs than other countries. Senator Bernie Sanders is the chair
of the Senate Health Committee, that Americans should be treated
the same as people across the globe and demanded that
the company stop ripping us off. Did you know it
(28:21):
is nine hundred and sixty nine dollars a month here
for ozempic and in Canada it's just one hundred and
fifty five dollars. Huh, we are paying way more. It's
only fifty nine dollars in Germany. So we are paying way, way.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Way more for those things here, and they want to
know why.
Speaker 4 (28:34):
And finally, for the second year in a row, Princeton,
MIT and Harvard are topping US college rankings. US News
and World Report is out with its twenty twenty five
college rankings, and once again, New Jersey's Princeton University is
the number one institution in the country, followed by MIT
in second place and Harvard in third. Stanford University in
California was tied with Harvard last year, but is now
(28:55):
ranked fourth. The nation's top ranked liberal arts schools are
Williams and Amherst Colleges, both in Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania's Swarthmore
College in third place.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
You know what else that list is all about? All
those colleges, A list of colleges that won't even let
me drive within a ten mile radius of their campus.
Speaker 3 (29:10):

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Here we go. It's a new phone tap from Garrett. Hey, Garrett, Hey,
what's it all about today?
Speaker 18 (31:38):
So Bo was using for husband John's car. It was
stolen while she was using it. Okay, So a few
months have gone by, Bo is back in the good
graces of her own husband, and she decided, hey, let's
play a phone tap on him. So Bo's gonna start
the call to her husband John saying the car was
stolen again again and I'm going to be the guy
who stole the car.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Here we go, today's phone tap.
Speaker 8 (31:59):
Hello done, yep.
Speaker 11 (32:02):
I'm outside right now and I want to go pick
up lunch. And the car's gone.
Speaker 8 (32:06):
We'll give me the car is gone.
Speaker 11 (32:08):
The car is gone. Is that in the lawn anymore?
Someone stole a car?
Speaker 8 (32:13):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 11 (32:15):
It's gone? I don't see it.
Speaker 8 (32:17):
Why is it always with you? I believe the car
park in the city all day and it won't happen
to me.
Speaker 11 (32:22):
I don't know what I have to call the car?
Speaker 14 (32:25):
Please?
Speaker 8 (32:25):
What do you don't know what to do?
Speaker 11 (32:26):
I get called a police. That's why I took a
too long, and I'm waiting for them.
Speaker 8 (32:31):
I don't get how every time you take the car,
the car gets stolen.
Speaker 11 (32:34):
It's not my fall.
Speaker 8 (32:35):
If I get this car back, you're not allowed to
drive my car anymore. I don't give it how to
get to work. I don't care if you have to
take a bus to work every day. Don't take my
car anymore.
Speaker 11 (32:46):
It's not my phone.
Speaker 8 (32:48):
Whatever. To figure it out. I'm coming back later.
Speaker 18 (32:53):
Yeah, yo, Is this the owner of the car?
Speaker 12 (32:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 18 (32:58):
All right, Well let me tell you the situation on
right now. I have your car, so let's do some business.
Speaker 8 (33:03):
What do you mean you have my car?
Speaker 18 (33:05):
Let's just say I have your car held hostage and
I'm looking for some money now.
Speaker 8 (33:10):
So you're basically telling me you stole my car. You
want me to pay you to get my car back.
Speaker 18 (33:14):
Let's do business like men, and you can get your
car back.
Speaker 8 (33:17):
You want to do business with me after you take
my car? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 18 (33:21):
That's how a good businessman does business. He calls the
guy's car he just stole, and he gets the money.
Speaker 8 (33:26):
That's not how it works. I you know what, you
know what? You know what? I you know what? How
much are you looking for?
Speaker 18 (33:32):
This is looking around?
Speaker 8 (33:33):
Maybe forty g all right, forty g's let's meet right now.
Speaker 18 (33:37):
Where would you like to meet anywhere?
Speaker 8 (33:40):
Okay, bring it back to the lot that you stole
it from, and I'll just say I'm.
Speaker 18 (33:43):
Not going back to the scene of the crime. Any
true criminal like yourself should know that.
Speaker 8 (33:47):
Oh I'm a criminal. Now you stole my car and
I'm a criminal.
Speaker 18 (33:50):
You sound like a criminal. I'm making this convenient for you.
Speaker 8 (33:54):
Listen, You're not making anything convenient for me when you
stole my car. I just gotta be a joke.
Speaker 4 (33:59):
All right.
Speaker 8 (34:00):
You're gonna sit there and tell me after you stole
my car, you want to do business? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 18 (34:05):
I want money, you want your car. Let's meet in
the middle, and you want.
Speaker 8 (34:08):
To do what you want with the car. If you
don't want Why don't you name a spot.
Speaker 18 (34:12):
To meet me at, because then you.
Speaker 8 (34:14):
Have dumb well you know you don't know. I said
name a spot, but you can't name a spot?
Speaker 1 (34:19):
All right?
Speaker 8 (34:19):
Why do you meet me at the police precint day?
Speaker 18 (34:21):
Oh that's real smart, right, make you happy?
Speaker 8 (34:24):
Exactly? So want to name a spot and I'll be there.
Speaker 18 (34:26):
They'll probably think you stole the car then if we
meet up.
Speaker 11 (34:29):
There, like go man.
Speaker 8 (34:30):
So when you're on the phone me this whole time,
I was My problem was on the phone with the cap.

do you want right? I Am not gonna pay you
forty thousand dollars for my car? All right? Why don't
you give me back my car and give me one
hundred grand on top of that?
Speaker 18 (34:44):
Why am I giving you money?
Speaker 8 (34:45):
How does this correctly? Exactly? What should I give you money?
Speaker 18 (34:48):
Because you want your car back?
Speaker 11 (34:50):
Can't keep it? Keep it?
Speaker 8 (34:52):
I'll go through insurance and get a new car. There's
nothing more to talk about. If you want to. If you,
if you, if you really think that I'm dumb enough
to give you forty grand for car that type of
worth forty grand, you must be up. Well, maybe you
should do some little homework on how much the car
is worth. And you have the nerve to steal my
car and call me. Well, then you say you want
(35:12):
your car back. Let's let's let's be men and make
a business deal. You have got to be kidding me.
I ain't got nothing more to say you.
Speaker 18 (35:18):

know bo has something to.
Speaker 2 (35:21):

artists and you know a bunch of songs, that's great.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
But these were big radio.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
Hits, all right, So but they only had one. Yeah,
So it's a matter of fact. If you go on
your iHeartRadio app, there's an entire channel devoted to one
hit wonders.
Speaker 4 (37:37):
Yes, it's pretty cool, and we're going to do from
the first beat, so.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
So good luck. How to help us?
Speaker 3 (37:42):
You can do it, You can do it.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
If you can do it, called out one eight hundred
one eight hundred two four to two zero one hundred.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
Hey, it's Gandhi and you might have heard of my podcast,
Sauce on the Side. If not, come explore the parts
of my brain that we don't talk about on the
Big Show, everything from science to love to the not.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
So safe topics that make us laugh.
Speaker 4 (38:01):
Join me every Wednesday for a new episode of Sauce

Speaker 20 (38:11):
Elvis Duran and the Morning Show with Wendy's Breakfast Burrito
is everything you want for breakfast, fresh cracked eggs, seasoned potatoes,
American cheese, cheese, sauce, bacon or sausage, all rolled up
into one warm tortilla.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Want the boss of breakfast burritos gotta be Wendy's at
participating in us Wendy's it's ee, oh.
Speaker 7 (38:42):
God, you know what it's here?
Speaker 12 (38:45):
All right?
Speaker 9 (38:46):
You could take me back to the woodshed and give
me a spancay.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
Remind me I gotta build a wood ship. Bring the
pope knife.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Were like aliens.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
This was strange.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
Elvister Wren in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
So today is one hit wonder day. So there's always
that one song you loved. You're like, oh my god,
this band is awesome. Yeah, this singer is great, and
you never hear from them again. It was that one song.
That's it. They call them one hit wonders.
Speaker 5 (39:21):
My favorite were all the one hit wonders that were nasty, like,
you have one song and you're not a nice person.
Speaker 7 (39:27):
Maybe that's why you're.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Not well, you know what. We've been around long enough
to see that happens.
Speaker 7 (39:35):
Wow, Well you remember, I wonder.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
If the guys from Aha were nasty. This is a
weird version of this song take on me the album cut.
This is their only hit. Aha. Here it is right there.
There's a huge hit. But that's all they had, do
(40:00):
we know? And maybe they were huge in Europe or something,
they weren't here.
Speaker 7 (40:04):
Yeah, they were huge in your hip.
Speaker 10 (40:05):
I always contest that if I want, if I had
a one hit wonder, if I was a musician, i'd
be I'd be content with that.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Because they're getting paid right now. Ah ha, I just
got seven cents. Well they would be Aha, we get
more than Aha because we have more than one hit.
Speaker 7 (40:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
So no, I would not want to be a one
hit wonder.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
I think for us we'd all be happy with it
because we're not musicians. But if you're a musician and
you only have one hit, you'll probably be so upset.
Speaker 6 (40:29):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Absolutely, Hello, let's say how to Nicole.
Speaker 16 (40:32):
Hi, nic Hi, Hi guys, good morning.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
Well, welcome to One Hit Wonder Day. So you understand
the concept of the one hit wonder, right I do. Yeah,
And so Nicole, you know, sometimes when we have people
call up to try to play these uh music games.
They fail miserably. But you say that. A friend of
yours said, you got a call in because you're gonna
win any contest. Obviously your friend thinks you know music
really well.
Speaker 16 (40:57):
Yeah. You see, every time we're in the car, I'm
singing along and she's like, how.
Speaker 14 (41:01):
Do you know that song?
Speaker 2 (41:03):
So I walked through Diamond's office when she was talking
to Nicole in a call. Remember Diamond said these words, Dimon,
you said these words. My job is on the line.
If you don't win this thing, they're going to fire me.
You're not getting pressure there getting fired Diamond. She is
not getting fired.
Speaker 15 (41:21):
Okay, great, okay.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
All right. So these are one hit wonders and they're
from the first beat, which adds a little more to
the challenge. So talk to Nicole.
Speaker 7 (41:31):
Nicole, I think you can do this.
Speaker 4 (41:32):
These songs are really really big hits, and you'll, I
believe if you know all the words all of these songs,
you will know it from the first beat.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
It's going to be pretty easy for you, I think.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
So it's this title of song, not title and artists
title yeah, artist, yeah, yeah. Because they're one hit wonder yes, yeah, yeah, No, no,
it's a one hit Wonder artist. They have to they
have to. What if you're a title or artist?
Speaker 3 (41:57):
No title and artist, you can do that.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Okay, all right, all right, you can do this, Okay,
shut up. Probably and there's good stuff to win here, right, yeah,
big time, that's what we want. Let's get going, guys.
Here we go. Uh, one hit Wonder, hit number one.
Oh I know that one on one more time. Here
we go, mm hmm. That's pretty big.
Speaker 16 (42:25):
That is Oh my gosh, I know it.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
This guy actually showed up at a jingle ball. I know.
We let him in.
Speaker 16 (42:36):
Are you able to play it.
Speaker 8 (42:37):
One more time?
Speaker 2 (42:38):
Yeah? Sure we go. Here we go.
Speaker 16 (42:45):
Oh my god, i's got the name something style.
Speaker 1 (42:52):
Him die?
Speaker 8 (42:52):
You got it?
Speaker 7 (42:56):
Do you know the artist?
Speaker 8 (42:58):
I forgot his name?
Speaker 2 (43:00):
Well that's the problem. Everyone forgot his name.
Speaker 14 (43:04):
That's why he's the one hit wonder.
Speaker 16 (43:05):
Yeah. Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
Okay, if you don't know it, just passed it. We
have what we did.
Speaker 9 (43:12):
What we did one point for artists, one point for name,
and she did got it points that way?
Speaker 16 (43:16):
Its size.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
Yeah, feel free if you get Google, feel free to
google all you want. I have no problem with that.
All right, here we go, Here is one hit Wonder,
hit number two.
Speaker 16 (43:29):
Oh, please come on, Vanilla Ice, Ice ice baby.
Speaker 7 (43:35):
You can do this.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
Actually it's a sample from David Bowie. We could have
said that's David Bowie.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
But he's not a one hit wonder exactly.
Speaker 6 (43:42):
Here we go.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
All right, so you have two. You're doing really well.
Here is one hit wonder number three.
Speaker 16 (43:51):
Mambo number five Vegas.
Speaker 12 (43:57):

Speaker 2 (43:57):

fine as well.
Speaker 14 (44:00):
Up, No, no help.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
Can I hear voices? I hear voices.
Speaker 3 (44:04):

Speaker 2 (44:05):

Speaker 11 (44:13):

Speaker 2 (44:15):
Well, okay, just a friend that we said the oh there,

curb on that one. Remember Bismarkete he lived right next
to the radio station.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
Just a memo from the yard apartment important. What was
her name? The pathod She was awesome.

She was amazing.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
Well, she talked about, you know, finding bodies and doing
crime scenes and this, I mean some of the stuff
she talked about on the show. People were like turning purple, yeah,
and vomiting. But you had her on your podcast. I
found that was probably one of my favorite podcasts you've
ever done.
Speaker 1 (50:57):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (50:58):
I loved it.
Speaker 4 (50:58):
She's so funny and when you know she's not bound
by the regulations of the.
Speaker 3 (51:03):
Show, show.
Speaker 4 (51:03):
She was talking about all kinds of stuff, specifically that
though scary.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
What are you doing over there?
Speaker 17 (51:10):
I'm sorry, I'm going back and forth.
Speaker 15 (51:11):
People.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Are you entering data? Are you doing a data? Are
you making extra money by entering data?
Speaker 17 (51:17):
I'm taking some people to school because they think that
certain songs were one hit wonders.
Speaker 2 (51:22):
But if everyone has an opinion, scary, but I'm stating fast,
oh so, so only you know if it was a
one hit wonder or not. Was a one hit wonder
they were? You know, I guess people have different philosophies
about what a hit is. You know, to us, a
hit is one thing. Maybe it's something you don't think
of it. You think of a song that being a
(51:43):
hit because you like it a lot and you played
it a lot, so it's a hit in your house.
We're talking about what's on the charts and this and
that the radio. But I'm not going to say that
we're the experts. But Scary Scary just winked to me.
Speaker 4 (51:55):
Yes, I am winked that typing was so hardcore. It's
sounded like that cat on the keyboard. Mean that we.
Speaker 17 (52:01):
The follow up Sherrock and Shenanigans was it, Okay, I
don't see.
Speaker 5 (52:06):
I don't think Ice Ice Baby van l Ice was
a one hit wonder.
Speaker 7 (52:09):
What he was around?
Speaker 9 (52:15):
It very very nice. He still is He still all stiffs.
They were all stiffs. The only one that was a hit,
Ice Sized Baby.
Speaker 2 (52:21):
He's still around. He's just not doing hits.
Speaker 4 (52:23):
Well.
Speaker 3 (52:23):
The other one's called.
Speaker 2 (52:26):
He had that one about the turtles.
Speaker 3 (52:28):
What was the gonja going ju go?
Speaker 2 (52:32):
The radio wasn't a hit. It's not a hit, Okay,
I remember I am Robbie van Winkle. Is that his name?
Speaker 18 (52:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (52:39):
I interviewed him on I had a national show called
Hitline USA. It was on every Sunday night for an
hour and it was on like three hundred and something
radio stations sponsored by Pepsi Co. And we had him
on once and uh he Ice Sized Baby was the
hugest song in the world then. So he you know,
it didn't stink, you know what I'm saying. Yeah, So
I say, you know what you're doing all these interviews,
(53:01):
I've asked you all these questions. Is there any question
out there, Vanilla Ice that people have not asked you
that you would love to talk about? He paused. He said, well, Elvis,
this is your job. You're supposed to come up with
the questions. I said, all right, well thanks for being here,
good night. That was it? Was it? What a rude effort.
Speaker 3 (53:23):
He always seems like a little bit of a chip
on his shoulder.
Speaker 2 (53:25):
Yeah, well now you know he's he's a grown man now. Yeah,
maybe back then he was just a little.
Speaker 3 (53:29):
You know how old was he when that song came
out seventy four?
Speaker 7 (53:33):
Did you ever interview snow who gave us informer no?
Licky boom boom down?
Speaker 12 (53:38):
Was he?
Speaker 2 (53:38):
Was he a good interview?
Speaker 7 (53:40):

Speaker 5 (53:40):
Here's just asking because we have the one hit wonder
songs that align with your zodiac sign?
Speaker 2 (53:47):

Speaker 7 (53:48):

I loved it.
Speaker 7 (56:31):
My hair came in the room first for the rest
of me.
Speaker 2 (56:36):
Oh, there you go. By the way, if you want
to keep on arguing with us about what was a hit,
what is it? You go right ahead, spend your time.
Spend your time thumbing on your phone trying to prove
us wrong. That's like telling the chef how to prepare
the dinner. Scary. I didn't say that was scary.
Speaker 18 (56:52):
I said this.
Speaker 2 (56:53):
I do not take im to what you just said.

About to go around the room, about to do some sound.
That's what we're about to do. I'm looking into the future.
I can see the future. The future is around the
room and sound. I agree. How I did that? Hey,
we talked about it earlier this morning. I want to
bring it up again. Last night watching Gandhi on the runway,
Nicole Miller, the gosh, the legendary designer.
Speaker 3 (57:39):
Yeah, she has some awesome stuff too.
Speaker 2 (57:41):
She put some amazing, amazing clothing on the models last night.
But it just wasn't a typical fashion show. Tell everyone
what it was. And you invited Danielle and me. We
sat there on the front row at a fashion show,
right on the walk.
Speaker 3 (57:52):
I love that. By the way, I know you guys
wanted to sit front row. I'm so happy you got to.

To you and you guys were great guests, by the way,
I really were it was you were you were. It
was a cap walk for the Verma Foundation, and it
is all about helping people who are struggling with hair
loss through cancer or whatever it is that's going on
in your life and you've lost your hair. We know
that wigs are really hot, toppers can be really hot,
and they're very difficult to install and keep up with.
(58:20):
So Natasha came up with these hats that have real
hair attached to them. You just put the hat on
and that's it, and they look amazing. They look so good.
You can style it if you want to. You can
get all types of different colors. She's now partnering with
professional teams, like there was a Jets hat yesterday.
Speaker 3 (58:34):
So it's really cool.
Speaker 4 (58:36):
And if you go to the Verma or Verma Foundation
dot org you can get all the information there and
see how you can help other people. If you want
to donate, you can they give these hats away. So
it's amazing.
Speaker 2 (58:47):
Yeah, this is not a profit thing. It's a look.
They're taking the money and the contributions coming in and
they're building these incredible hats with real human hair and.
Speaker 5 (58:56):
You can design your own hat. Like you can pick
the color, you can pick the length of hair, the
color of hair, stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
What I loved most about last night, other than being
with my girlfriends Danielle and Gandhi, the courage of the
women who stood before us dressed in beautiful Nicole Miller outfits, right,
but talking about their cancer journeys. Yeah, and so you know,
talking about how important hair is to you. And I've
(59:24):
seen this earlier. A lot of people who probably haven't
been through it don't understand it. Your hair is part
of your identity, it's a major part of who you are.
And you're going through the fright of cancer already, then
you have to be well the person with no hair
now who's going through chemotherapy and your body's going through
these horrendous changes, And so what Verma Foundation's doing is incredible.
Speaker 3 (59:48):
It really is.
Speaker 2 (59:48):
You can wake up in the morning, just throw a
hat on it just so happens the hat has human
great hair on the back of it, and you can
walk out the house and feel good about yourself without
having to mess around with a wig for an hour
and a half.
Speaker 11 (59:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (59:59):
I love the one lady who said that she picked
the pink hat because it matched the baseball uniform of
her I think it was her grandson or her nephew
or something, because she knew she was going to go
to all his games and she wanted her hat to
match his uniform.
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
And then they took their hat with hair off, and
you saw what they looked like as their hair is
gone or growing back slowly. Beautiful women. Thanks. I cannot
thank you enough for inviting us to this event.
Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
It was Thank you guys so much for coming, and
thank you Elvis for what you did. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
It's the Verma Foundation Foundation v E. R. M. A
foundation you or someone you know going through cancer, maybe
going through some chemo, maybe in need of hair. Go
online yee. And if you just want to donate, donate.
We did last night. Yes, And now I have lunch
with Nicole Miller's cat.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
So cool.
Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
It's again. I cannot tell you when I saw her
walk into her fashion show, partially hers, but it's all
her clothing. I'm like, oh my god, Nicole Miller. I
mean she's in my She was in my mother's closet
and other women in my family and my circle of
friend's closet and I'm sitting in the same room as her,
and she's she's a big deal in the in the
in the fashion industry.
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:01:11):
It was a little nerve racking walking down the runway
with her sitting right there too, just because I was
thinking in my head, I wonder if this is what
she wanted it to look like. I wonder if she
had a totally different vision of what I'm wearing right now,
with style completely differently, you know, all of it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
But she was great, great night it was. It was
a moving night. I'm so glad we were there. Next
year it's gonna be even better. I can't wait. Yeah,
are you inviting her hair?
Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
I have a feeling we will be, at least you
will be.
Speaker 7 (01:01:36):
Yeah, no, daddy's running.
Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
No no, no, no, no. Hey, let's go around the room,
do some music for this around the room, and then
Garrett has some sound coming up in a second. We'll
start with you, Gandhi, what's on your mind today?
Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
I just wanted to say how much I love you guys,
just this entire room. We are such a good group
of people who support each other and uplift each other
no matter what is going on. Everybody's so up for
one another, and I really appreciate it. I loved having
you guys there so much yesterday. Now Danielle's gonna do
her hellow scream, and I know we're all going to be.
Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
There for that.
Speaker 4 (01:02:08):
We have a bunch of different events coming up, and
I love that we get to do these things and
give back and then we do it together.
Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
So you guys are the best. Thanks for always always
showing up. It's amazing, love.
Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
It was an honor to show up. Las Y, righty, Hey,
I produce your sandwich on your mind today?
Speaker 6 (01:02:20):
All right?
Speaker 19 (01:02:20):
When I eventually start a fashion line, are you guys
going to back meek showing up?
Speaker 2 (01:02:25):
Of course, I'll come to your runway show if I
get front rope.
Speaker 19 (01:02:28):
You got yourself a deal. I need more practicality and fashion.
These are new pants I'm wearing, and you guys, look
at this. Why do more pants not do this?
Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
Look at the back?
Speaker 7 (01:02:36):
What happened to it?
Speaker 3 (01:02:37):
It's half elastic?
Speaker 15 (01:02:40):
What's wrong?
Speaker 19 (01:02:41):
There's nothing wrong. It's cozy and practical. Enough companies do this.
Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
What's wrong?
Speaker 7 (01:02:46):
You could eat lots of pizza in those pants.
Speaker 19 (01:02:48):
I could fit no matter what I eat the night before,
what you have for dinner?
Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
Sam doesn't matter if fitneyse pants.
Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
So these pants, just to give it some visual it
will those pants will go from a size what to
a size what just by opening them up.
Speaker 19 (01:02:59):
I feel like you can from like an extra small
to like a.
Speaker 18 (01:03:01):
Small or large.
Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
Yeah, there's just comfort here.
Speaker 19 (01:03:04):
And I just feel like too many companies make us
feel a little bad about ourselves because there's zero flexibility
in their wear.
Speaker 3 (01:03:10):
So what I start by fashion line? This is going
to be important today.
Speaker 7 (01:03:13):
Well in kids' pants.
Speaker 5 (01:03:14):
You know, when you buy your little kids of pants,
they have a little strap inside usually and you can
fix fix it. Because a lot of the kids waiste
are too smaller, bigger.
Speaker 3 (01:03:22):
I still need that.
Speaker 7 (01:03:23):
I feel like they should really do that, and adults
wear as well.
Speaker 19 (01:03:26):
Now I need someone to help me accomplish it. So
if you have any talent, reach out.
Speaker 2 (01:03:30):
A lot of guys pants are like that now, they're very,
very stretchy. Yeah, really, there's a There are several lines.
I love Muggsy Muggy pants are dave you get stretched
from from the size thirty to size forty.
Speaker 3 (01:03:42):
They make female clothes.
Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
Maybe I'm exaggerating. I love that though, And you look great, Hey.
Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
You aren't a lot of eternity pants like that too. Yeah,
I'll just start shopping material pants.
Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
Problem solve it.
Speaker 5 (01:03:49):
Have a little stretch they need maternity clothes for before
the bump. You should call it before the bump because
you're in the between.
Speaker 2 (01:03:56):
Hey, probably what's up with you?
Speaker 9 (01:03:58):
So I don't know that person. I have to work
at the same exact time every day. I know that
if I'm not at this one stoplight at four forty
seven am, that I'm late. I have been seeing the
same car at the same stop light every single day
for like the past ten to twelve days, And finally
today me and this person made eye contact as if
they realize that they're seeing me at the same time
(01:04:19):
I'm seeing them every day, and we like waved at
each other and acknowledged, and then we were on our way.
But now I feel like we're kind of friends. And
if I don't see them, I'm going to feel lost.
If you drive to work at the same time every
single day, right, you're just on that one minute thing
where you know you're on time or you know you're late.
Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
And I made a new friend today. I love that. Wow,
we're creatures of habit. So we see the other creatures
on the way at that hour, they're all creatures pretty much. Hey,
straight and eight, what's up with you?
Speaker 7 (01:04:47):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Huge congratulations.
Speaker 10 (01:04:49):
Second year in a row, the Eerie Sea Wolves won
the Eastern League. The Sea Sea Wolves. Yeah, they beat
the Yankees in your league affiliate, the Summerset. Uh Patriots.
Speaker 7 (01:05:03):
Love the Summerset Patriots.
Speaker 18 (01:05:05):
They're amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
I know that's from one you read it to.
Speaker 10 (01:05:08):
Anyway, Congratulations Eastern League champions Eerie.
Speaker 7 (01:05:12):
Sorry, Summersetts, I love you more.
Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
Hey, what's up?
Speaker 17 (01:05:16):
You know a lot of times companies don't implement new
policies necessarily benefit the employee. So my friends are in
between jobs and they all see this one trend in
their in their job hunt. They're they're saying that these
companies take as much vacation as you want.
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
There's no set vacation because.
Speaker 17 (01:05:32):
They find out, they come to find that in their
research that you will talk wind up taking less vacation
because you feel guilty. You may only take a week
or two a year, but when you're given the latitude
to take as much vacation as you want, it looks
good on paper, but just know you're probably gonna cheat yourself.
Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
All you can eat take a quarter?
Speaker 12 (01:05:54):
How many?
Speaker 8 (01:05:55):
How many?
Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
If they said, hey, Elvis, you can take off as
much as you want, I'd never come in.
Speaker 4 (01:05:59):
Yeah, ha ha, I will get my work done efficiently
from a beach.
Speaker 2 (01:06:03):
Technically, I'm taking off as much as they want. And finally,
our Danielle throw it out this morning, her second annual

Why didn't I come? It was amazing all of us.
Speaker 5 (01:06:22):

I'm starting to think about giving them a couple of
suggestions for my makeup the shows. Okay, even though they are.
Speaker 7 (01:07:13):
The actually we have the most amazing makeup artists.
Speaker 18 (01:07:15):
Hey, Garrett, it sound what are you going on today?
All right, let's start with our friend Kelly Clarkson. Her
talk show just got back this week, and she had
Miranda Lambert on yesterday and they were talking about their
favorite artist and broke into song.
Speaker 21 (01:07:29):
You can say they way nothing but you know, shoes Lacks.
I'm luckome with all again, Angel Bull Carson.
Speaker 7 (01:07:43):
I don't want to call it off.
Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
Chop oone right there? Wow, here you go.
Speaker 10 (01:07:48):
Actually, Kelly's doing her show like out on the balcony
of thirty Rock this week too, So if you're walking by,
you can see Kelly Clarkson doing our talk show. You
can see her. Yeah, she's out, she's out on like
the terrorists. You're a terrorist. You can see that.
Speaker 18 (01:08:00):
Yeah, as you're walking by Lincoln on the Marquee not
the Marquee like outside there's like a like a grassy area.
Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
Yeah on top of thirty rock. Let's go work over there.
Yeah they area, We need a gray area, you know
what I'm saying. Of course, Lincoln Park continues to put
out some new music too. So this is the anthem
for League of Legends. The esports h the e sports. Yeah, esports.
I guess that's what are you saying. Sports.
Speaker 18 (01:08:29):
League of Legends is a video game and everybody plays it.
This is the anthem for that. It's called heavy is
the crown from Lincoln Park?
Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Lincoln Park? All they sounds so good?
Speaker 18 (01:08:44):
Still, Andrews said he had amazing time when he saw
Lincoln Park last week with Josh. So we played this
the other day. So Journey was at Rock and Rio.
They had their lead singer who didn't do so well.
Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
Can we hear it? Yeah? Very ready for the note?
Here we go.
Speaker 18 (01:09:11):
So he said, go on Facebook and vote if you
don't think I should be the lead singer. And that's
not going very well for him. But last night, if
you saw America's Got Talent. It was the finale. They
had all the finalists performing with some of their favorite artists.
We played Richard Goodall at the beginning of the season.
He performed the same song, Journey, but this time he
performed with the entire band minus the lead singer. What
(01:09:33):
a slam he stepped in for him.
Speaker 2 (01:09:45):
He's hitting the notes, Richard Goodall.
Speaker 18 (01:09:52):
Yeah, and he was a janitor too, So he went
from being a janitor no more than six months ago
to being a star on America's Got Talent. No spoilers
from last night. By the way, we all know Sabrina
Carpenter's Espresso right, biggest song ever. And we were just
talking about Keith Urban yesterday and how nice he is.
He was on with Fallon last night and gave his
(01:10:12):
version of Espresso with a banjo. Now he's.
Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
I love them, I love Keith. Can we really get
them on? Can we.
Speaker 6 (01:10:34):
To?
Speaker 7 (01:10:35):
Nicole?
Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
I want them all on? Can we get them I
want them all on? Keith, get that done? And Nicole Kidman,
Nicole Kidman. I don't know about but Nicle, but get
that done. It comes that package package. Thank you, thank
you so much.
Speaker 1 (01:10:53):

Speaker 8 (01:11:29):
Question go awaiting Elvis.
Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
Terran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
We're about to talk about some really interesting things here.
Our friend Jamie who's been a producer at light FM
down the Hall for what thirteen years?
Speaker 15 (01:11:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
Long time?
Speaker 7 (01:11:44):
Yeah like that.
Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
She made a decision in life that a lot of
our listeners are wanting to make as well. It takes
a lot of courage. If she can, I'd love to
talk to her about this on our show. Very interesting. Also,
we didn't play this sound yesterday, do we? Okay, so
did you see the sound or the interview with Justin Bieber.
(01:12:06):
Justin Bieber back in the day did an interview and
this is when Billie Eilish was first kind of hitting
the scene and everyone knew that she was really going
to be huge.
Speaker 5 (01:12:15):
Yeah, and she was a Bieber fan as well. She
grew up listening to him and she loved Justin Bieber.
Speaker 2 (01:12:20):
This came out several years ago. I'm going to quote
from the Post New York Post year's old remarks Justin
Bieber made about warning to protect Billie Eilish from the
music industry have resurfaced in the wake of the Sean
Ditty Cumb's arrest for alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. Bieber,
who's thirty years old, shared his feelings toward Eilish in
(01:12:41):
twenty twenty. While speaking with Apple Music's Zane Lowe ahead
to the release of his album Changes, Justin Bieber went
into tears as he was telling low about his own
experiences in the music industry as a young artist. After
becoming an overnight success at just fourteen, Justin Bieber signed
(01:13:02):
to the record label of Colmb's Protege Usher in two
thousand and eight, and he said that, I quote, it
was hard for me being that young and being in
the industry and not knowing where to turn, and everyone
telling me they love me and then turning their backs
on me in just a second. I just want to
protect Billie Eilish, and he got very emotional. He said,
(01:13:26):
I don't want her to go through anything I went through.
I don't wish that on anybody. Thanks. I wonder, I
wonder where that's going. Also last night we went to
this incredible gathering and there were a couple of guys
in line at the bar. Danielle and I were at
the bar surprise hey, and he without giving up too much,
(01:13:48):
he seemed like a very nice guy, but he said
something to you that made me go wait a minute.
And then god he heard about it. We're like, well,
hold on, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (01:13:54):
He was telling me like after the fact, he's like, hey,
he's like, you know, my hotel is only a couple
of blocks away. You know you want to come back
and party? And I was like what and then yeah,
I'm gonna go home with to my husband and my kids.
And he's like oh, He's like, but isn't that how
it works?
Speaker 18 (01:14:09):
What do you mean?
Speaker 5 (01:14:10):
He goes like, you know, everybody hangs out at a
charity event and then like at leads to partying. And
I was just like, Elvis is over there. If you
could go and ask him what I said him your
way Elvis, And at first he didn't even know who
I was. He just asked, oh, you have a cool accent,
where is it from? And then eventually I think he
figured out who we were.
Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
Yeah, but if someone invites you to their hotel to party,
to me, that's like you're gonna go get high.
Speaker 7 (01:14:34):
Yeah, so right away he's like, he wants you to
do drugs.
Speaker 2 (01:14:36):
I go, what we could be wrong? He could just
and then when he said hey, then you said I'm married,
I've got kids.
Speaker 8 (01:14:42):
Yea.
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
Then he says, isn't that just how it usually starts?
That could have been just him being funny.
Speaker 7 (01:14:46):
I guess I was like, oh, okay, let me ask you.
Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
So last night you were talking about how you were
a little okay, but is it there a little secret
room and you're in your head? It's like, wow, this
guy wants to live.
Speaker 3 (01:15:00):
Ah.
Speaker 7 (01:15:01):
I didn't know there's a I really didn't think of that.
Speaker 2 (01:15:04):
He wanted he wanted a little freak off at the hotel. Yeah, yeah,
I didn't think of that.
Speaker 5 (01:15:09):
But okay, Danielle freak off, daniel freako not gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (01:15:14):
He said, this is this how it starts charity events.
We all get wet.
Speaker 2 (01:15:17):
I said, this is how it starts. We go to
charity events, we get lit and then we end up
doing each other in the hotel room.
Speaker 7 (01:15:22):
Is this what this guy does?
Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
I don't know that I need see you know me.
I'm and mister, he's innocent and he's just like messing around.
Speaker 5 (01:15:30):
I think he got uncomfortable with the conversation a little
bit because I wasn't going in the direction maybe he wanted.
Speaker 7 (01:15:36):
And I think he just starts saying stuff, I love it.
Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
You threw me in I did.
Speaker 7 (01:15:41):
Elvis is over there. He might want to party.
Speaker 2 (01:15:43):
Al wants to go to the hotel and party. Yeah,
over there. Our friend Jamie is here. Can we just
care we talk about this?
Speaker 1 (01:15:52):
Yeah we can.
Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
Jamie has been at Light FM down the hall Ford
for thirteen years.
Speaker 15 (01:15:58):
Just yep, just about and Jamie's.
Speaker 2 (01:16:03):
Been on our show several times. We've talked about the
dating world and how you're out there looking for that
guy because you want to start a family.
Speaker 15 (01:16:10):
I do want to start a family.
Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
Yes, of late, you went through a couple of health things,
which okay, so we heard the other day Jamie has
made a decision. Tell everyone the decision you made you
made and it was announced just a day ago to I.
Speaker 15 (01:16:23):
Literally quit my job, like just walked in there and
did it.
Speaker 3 (01:16:30):
I love it. I'm so proud of you.
Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
There was no tweek notice.
Speaker 15 (01:16:34):
I didn't even know how this worked. I went into
my boss's office and I just told him the truth.
I've been having some health issues and I need to
get my plate, get myself in a better space. And
I did three rounds of IVF last year and I
turned forty in May, and I want a family, and
unfortunately this environment for me anymore, for my health and
(01:16:56):
wanting a family is not the space for me anymore.
And I have family here and I loved it, and
I loved all my time here and I'm blessed and
grateful for it. But it's time for me to now
go to the next chapter of my life, which is
going to set me up for the rest of my life.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
And there you good.
Speaker 15 (01:17:10):
Yeah, so scary, but I did it.
Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
The reason why I'm so grateful that you came in
to share this with our listeners because all a mega
tone of our listeners are going through the same thing.
They're trying to find the answers in life, and they're
just in a spot that doesn't allow them to see
clearly and find that path they need to be on.
Speaker 15 (01:17:30):
And I get that, like I was paralyzed in fear
for over making a decision like this, Where am I
going to go? Because I don't have something lined up?
Speaker 8 (01:17:37):
Now?
Speaker 15 (01:17:37):
How am I going to pay for things? What am
I going to do? And then the fear of not
having a family was scarier than the fear of just
jumping out of the airplane, going Universe catch me. And
that's what I did. And I'm a little bit shaky,
but I know the universe is going to have my
back and I will land in a place where I'm
supposed to be and have my family one day that
I so desperately want to have there. You go, yeah,
(01:17:59):
so just do it. Sometimes you just have to jump.
Rip the band aid off, Jane jump.
Speaker 2 (01:18:04):
Let's talk about let's talk about courage. That's it, yep uh.
And a lot of people listening right now are going, God,
I want that courage. What was it? Was it any
one thing or just a collection of things that made
you go, Okay, I'm pushing the button today.
Speaker 15 (01:18:20):
A collection of things. Really, my health was just after
the twenty one years of these hours. It's really rough
on the body. And then I spent so much of
my money on IVF last year and that put my
body through a lot. And I just looked back and thought,
I didn't do all this to go never mind. And
when that door closes for a woman, that's that's it.
(01:18:41):
So I was. I decided, I'm finding him, I'm having
those babies, and I have to leave. And I just
pulled the trigger and I did it.
Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
Wow.
Speaker 15 (01:18:50):
Wow, I love this for you. Yeah yeah, I mean
you've known me forever. It's like it's just it's something
I've always wanted.
Speaker 2 (01:18:55):
Yeah. Oh well you guys have known each other since
before you came.
Speaker 3 (01:18:58):
Here, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I met her.
Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
You were talking about this plan back then.
Speaker 15 (01:19:04):
Yeah. And I know not everybody wants kids. It's a
very personal dessension. But for me, it's just too important
to wake up one day and I'm my windows shut,
like that can't be me. I have to just do
it now.
Speaker 2 (01:19:17):
Good for you, Yeah, but you know, it may not
be kids, it mayn't be found. It may be a
rainbow of reasons. Why. Yeah, someone who is listening.
Speaker 15 (01:19:25):
To exactly it doesn't have to be that.
Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
I have to get the courage to do it, and
you are, you're jumping out of the plane with no shoot.
Speaker 15 (01:19:31):
Oh yes I did.
Speaker 2 (01:19:33):
But you know what, Okay, it's all good.
Speaker 3 (01:19:35):
It's all good.
Speaker 15 (01:19:35):
It's all good. I feel really good. I feel good.
Speaker 2 (01:19:38):
Well, do you vacillate with your feelings a little bit?
Like one minute you're a little frightened, the next minute
you're like, so you feel relief, and.
Speaker 15 (01:19:44):
It's like anas excitement because I know that great things
are going to come my way.
Speaker 5 (01:19:48):
And you're so talented, you have so many you know,
things you can think you to you know, other places
of employment.
Speaker 15 (01:19:54):
Yeah, so i'd full disclosure. I jumped without having a
backup plan. And sometimes you just have to do that
to you just I will land somewhere. And but if
I didn't jump, I wouldn't have done I would never
have done it if I kept thinking about it, you.
Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
Know who could be after you? Who's next in line
for this? This is very important. So when we know
who is ready for a family, ready just to quit
this job?
Speaker 13 (01:20:18):
Oh yeah, securely in this plane until the plane comes
to a safe land.
Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
We crashed, ready for a family. He's ready to get
out of here. He doesn't like this job. It doesn't
like anything it brings anti.
Speaker 15 (01:20:37):
Yeah, we're kind of the opposite, but I still love you.
Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
Scary Okay, So what are you? You know Jamie for
a year we all have, but what are your feelings
about what she's doing here?
Speaker 17 (01:20:44):
I almost cried for you yesterday and you told me
in the garage and we hugged it out because honestly, you,
I know how long you've wanted all this, and there's
no way that any of that could really happen with
the hours that you keep, the demands of your job distresses,
and the struggle. So I, for one, am very happy.
And I got to say, I'm super proud of you.
You're a stronger person than me because you actually you're
(01:21:06):
taking a leap of faith here.
Speaker 15 (01:21:07):
Thank here, I appreciate you.
Speaker 7 (01:21:08):
Do you want us to solicit for like a god?
Speaker 6 (01:21:11):
Oh?
Speaker 15 (01:21:11):
Yes please? Farmers only? So I mean, I'm ready, she.
Speaker 7 (01:21:19):
Has Farmer's Only?
Speaker 2 (01:21:23):
Who is candas high? Candace?
Speaker 5 (01:21:26):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
You did the same exact thing back in May that
Jamie's doing right now.
Speaker 14 (01:21:31):
I did, And I'm so proud of you, Jamie, Like
it's so scary, take the leap. I'm so proud of you.
I got out of a toxic work environment. It was
best for my mental health. I have a ten year
old son. I said, you know what, I want more
time with my kid and more time for me.
Speaker 2 (01:21:45):
Well see, there's a kid involved here. So you walked
away from a career with a child because a lot
of people say, well, god, you know, I'm lucky I
can walk away because I don't have any children. You
have a child? How was that help? Frightening? Was that
for you?
Speaker 8 (01:21:58):
Oh?
Speaker 14 (01:21:58):
My god? It was the scariest thing I've ever done.
And like she said, it's like jumping out of a
plane with no parachute. Right, But the universe had my back.
I picked up a bartending job. My son and I
have had the best summer ever.
Speaker 15 (01:22:09):
Oh I love.
Speaker 14 (01:22:10):
He was so happy, he said, Mommy, this is our summer.
Our summer twenty four did not miss. And let me
tell you something, it was the best decision ever. I'm happier.
My mental health is through the roof. You know. My
biggest rewarded friends and families saying, you know what, you're glowing.
You look like you're happy.
Speaker 15 (01:22:28):
So happy for you. That sounds amazing.
Speaker 14 (01:22:30):
Wow, thank you. I'm so happy. For you, Jamie.
Speaker 15 (01:22:33):
Thank you, Candace.
Speaker 2 (01:22:34):
As we hear the story between Candace and Jamie doesn't matter,
you can admit it. Maybe you're thinking, look what if
I did that?
Speaker 7 (01:22:44):
Yeah, yell, It's all.
Speaker 5 (01:22:47):
I'm thinking, is Jamie, when we see you in like
two weeks and you've reset from getting up at this
time of morning, you're gonna feel human again.
Speaker 7 (01:22:55):
Yeah, so good.
Speaker 3 (01:22:59):
Years younger.
Speaker 14 (01:23:00):
Sleeping in and getting your coffee and going outside and
grounding yourself and doing the bird stirping and not stressing. Girl,
You're gonna fall in love again.
Speaker 2 (01:23:09):
Is that what happens in the morning when we're working?
Speaker 15 (01:23:11):
Guy?
Speaker 3 (01:23:11):
Is that what happens birds out there?
Speaker 14 (01:23:15):
I forgotten? Look at that. It's amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:23:19):
Well, Candace, congratulations and you know what, I love that
you hearing Jamie's story sparked you and it made you
reach out to us. I love that. Congratulations and all
the best to you and your son.
Speaker 14 (01:23:31):
Thank you so much. Good luck to you, Jamie.
Speaker 15 (01:23:33):
Thank you, Candace.
Speaker 2 (01:23:34):
So when you walked in did you do that? Did
you know when you walked in this is it?
Speaker 15 (01:23:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:23:39):
You walked into his office.
Speaker 15 (01:23:41):
I was yeah, I was, I was shaking. I was shaking.
Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
How did. How did it roll out?
Speaker 15 (01:23:46):
I just sat down and shut the door, and I
had this conversation in my head and I just said,
I don't even really know how to get into this.
There's really no easy way, but I have to give
my resignation. Wow, after twenty one years in this industry,
more than half my life. That's it was not an
easy decision. But I have to put my health first
(01:24:07):
and just my what I want more than anything in
this family, which in this world rather than is a family.
Speaker 2 (01:24:14):
That is wild. I'm so glad you told this story.
Speaker 15 (01:24:17):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:24:17):
I'm so happy.
Speaker 15 (01:24:18):
I hope I can just encourage at least one person
just to jump out of that airplane and know that
it will be okay and it will change your life.
Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
Wow, it will all work out.
Speaker 15 (01:24:28):
Yeah, Well, thank you.
Speaker 7 (01:24:29):
Are they panicking over there?
Speaker 15 (01:24:31):
I don't I think it is.
Speaker 7 (01:24:34):
I love them all. That's why I have to ask.
You know, they'll find somebody.
Speaker 15 (01:24:38):
Let me tell you, there's been three people that already
asked about it. Not even cold yet.
Speaker 19 (01:24:47):
True.
Speaker 3 (01:24:47):
Sorry, that's all right, good.
Speaker 1 (01:25:00):
Mister Ran.
Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
In the morning show, Frazer is back.
Speaker 10 (01:25:03):
Doctor Crane is ready to turn his attention to No
Blue pursuits giving back stream the new season now exclusively
on Paramount Plus. Head to Paramount plus dot com to
try it for free.
Speaker 1 (01:25:15):
All this is Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (01:25:18):
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Speaker 3 (01:25:20):
Ooh ooh, I don't people, No, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (01:25:27):
Well, dogs, let's talk about dogs. Yes, oh, yes, nearly
nine and ten of us believe in love at first
sight with our pets. Yeah, hell yeah, instant connection. I
know I had that with little MAXI when I'm at
him thirteen years ago or no, twelve years ago. It's
his birthday, Yeah, it's Little Maxie's twelfth birthday today.
Speaker 5 (01:25:49):
I think you can have love at first sight with
your pets, but I think it's different than a human.
Speaker 4 (01:25:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
Well, maybe it's because we know the difference.
Speaker 16 (01:25:58):
Well.
Speaker 7 (01:25:58):
Also, I think it's like the first time with the human.
Speaker 4 (01:26:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:26:02):
I don't think it's like that with our pets.
Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
It must for the pet, I hope not not. Anyway. Yeah,
they did this big surveyed like two thousand dog owners
in serious relationships revealed that eighty percent had an immediate
connection with their dog, compared to only seventy percent had
the same with their partner.
Speaker 8 (01:26:23):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:26:23):
The thing about dogs is you know, you know, it's
it's a different relationship and you you build that bond
over time with your dog in a way that yeah,
I don't see those bonds going backward like I do
with relationships with people. Is that awful? I said that?
Speaker 4 (01:26:40):
Sorry, no, no, But it's also your pets typically not
hiding a huge part of their personality from you that
you could find out later on and just not be
into anymore, you know, and they're probably not going to
cheat on you.
Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
No, yeah, I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (01:26:57):
Don't you love when you see those videos of like
someone that goes into a shelter and they like the
pet picks them like it's this is instant, Like it's
so cool.
Speaker 2 (01:27:05):
I want to put well, you know, if things were
different you it'd be great to have a pet.
Speaker 3 (01:27:11):
Yeah, hell yeah. You know, Andrew and I were exploring
a pet share program.
Speaker 2 (01:27:16):
You know what, I've never really thought about the pet
share program. I'm sure there are some people who would
criticize it, say no, you can't do that to pet,
but lots of people. Yeah, I am open minded to
the thought of a dog or a cat or maybe
a dog having a relationship in different homes.
Speaker 18 (01:27:33):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:27:35):
I think.
Speaker 4 (01:27:35):
I mean, it would just be one of those things
where you know, we both we have different hours for
the most part, and we can walk it at different
times and play with them the good stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
But keep in mind also a lot of trainers will
tell you you probably need that singular bond and that
could be stronger in training your dog. Yes, so I
can see there's an argument there, Nate. How you doing today?
You need a dog? I would love a dog. You
can't have a dog, but I would love a dog.
Speaker 7 (01:28:04):
You can have a hairless one.
Speaker 10 (01:28:06):
I tried the most yo allergenic dog you can imagine,
and it was this big and I still.
Speaker 3 (01:28:11):
But you're okay with maximally.
Speaker 10 (01:28:14):
Because Elvis actually keeps him quite clean.
Speaker 2 (01:28:17):
Uh not really really? No, well no, I mean they
have a different type of frame.
Speaker 10 (01:28:21):
It's different, Like if I'm with the dog, it's it's
totally different. Plus they're in the house, you know, it's
totally different.
Speaker 2 (01:28:28):
Hey, can we talk about some technological thing that five
maybe not even five years from now, we're all gonna
look back and go, that was stupid. We're talking about
how that's just like a thing. It's never gonna happen
like the internet dot com, remember that the argument on
the Today Show about what is dot com?
Speaker 8 (01:28:44):
With that.
Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
At something, at something, what is Internet? And this is
not far fetched at all. Your car can be your wallet,
meaning at the gas pump, if you're gassing up or
going through tolls, whatever, it's it's a chip on your
car and not a thing you screw into your like
(01:29:09):
you know, like easy Pass, you screw it into your
You can screw it into your license plate or it's
connected to your windshield. But yeah, what about at the
pump You just pull in and it pays for it.
Speaker 7 (01:29:19):
So like if I go to Starbucks and I go
to the drive you pay for it.
Speaker 2 (01:29:22):
Yeah, parking meters, everything, drive through we are. That's probably
the easiest thing to create than anything. Yeah, it's just
a censor on your car.
Speaker 4 (01:29:33):
Yeah, it just seems like we're getting so attached to
all of these things. I remember when the iPhones first
came out with the face ID, and everyone was like, oh,
I don't really know if I want it scanning my
face all the time. And Snapchat still I don't know
if I wanted scanning my face. And then we just
gave up on it. I'm like, oh, yeah, whatever, it's fine,
and just slowly, one by one we're refusing with technology.
Speaker 5 (01:29:53):
And I get nervous because when it scans your face
and then I think of AI, am thinking hmm, it's
going to be soon making us other houses.
Speaker 2 (01:30:01):
Yeah no, we're doomed. Pretty much, pretty much doom a
matter of fact, speaking of AI, I used AI this
morning to bring up the top ten topics that we
can bring up on the show.
Speaker 7 (01:30:11):
Oh how that goes?
Speaker 2 (01:30:12):
Number one, the great AI debate with all the advancements
going on with AI, like chat, GPT and everything debate right.
Number two, streaming wars, the new players in the game
streaming services. They're more launched this year. More on the
way it's. AI told us this would be the big
topics on the show today. Number three the future of
(01:30:32):
work remote versus hybrid, being at home. People are still
arguing about whether they should be in the office five
days a week or not. Climate change anxiety. Number four.
That's on my list. The great pumpkin spice latte debate
is number five is the debate I don't know. AI says,
it's still a thing. I'm not saying. I was always right.
(01:30:53):
Number six celebrity feuds. Okay, Number seven the metaverse, hype
or reality. Number eight on AI for topics for our show,
the cost of living crisis. How are you coping A
I told us to do that on our show today.
AI also said number nine the great resignation? Why are
people are quitting their jobs?
Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Oh my gosh, we really implemented a lot of these today.
Speaker 2 (01:31:13):
Good job and what's the next bect's best? What is
the next big trend? Now that the TikTok craze could
be cooling off a little, That's number ten on my
list of AI selected topics for our show. Okay, let's
get into that Pumpkins spice latte thing.
Speaker 3 (01:31:30):
I didn't even know there was a debate.
Speaker 2 (01:31:31):
Apparently there is.
Speaker 15 (01:31:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (01:31:34):
I'm Scottie B and I'm Andy and we have a
podcast called Serial Killers. It's a podcast where we talk
about breakfast cereals and we'll try it before you buy it,
plus some fun facts about cereal you might not know.
Speaker 12 (01:31:45):
From the nauseating cereals to the delicious ones. We taste
them all over one thousand cereals accounting new episodes every Monday.
Listen to the iHeart Podcast Award nominated Serial Killers.
Speaker 13 (01:31:56):
On iHeartRadio or wherever you get your podcasts, Crunch.
Speaker 1 (01:32:00):
Elvis Duran in the morning show. Don't answer the phone,
Elvis Duran, the Elvis Duran phone tap.
Speaker 2 (01:32:13):
Here we go, it's a new phone tap from Garrett. Hey, Garrett, Hey,
what's it all about today?
Speaker 18 (01:32:18):
So Bo was using her husband John's car. It was
stolen while she was using it. Okay, So a few
months have gone by. Bo is back in the good
graces of her own husband, and she decided, Hey, let's
play a phone tap on him. So Bo's going to
start the call to her husband John saying the car
was stolen again again, and I'm going to be the
guy who stole the car.
Speaker 2 (01:32:37):
Here we go, today's phone tap.
Speaker 8 (01:32:39):
Hello John.
Speaker 11 (01:32:41):
Yep, I'm outside right now and I want to go
pick up lunch. And the car's gone.
Speaker 8 (01:32:46):
What you mean the car's gone?
Speaker 11 (01:32:48):
The car's gone? Is that in the lawn anymore?
Speaker 8 (01:32:51):
Someone stole a car? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 11 (01:32:55):
It's gone? I don't see it.
Speaker 8 (01:32:57):
Why is it orange with you?
Speaker 10 (01:33:00):
Car?
Speaker 8 (01:33:00):
Talk in the city all day and it won't happen
to me.
Speaker 11 (01:33:03):
I don't know what I have to call the car.
Speaker 14 (01:33:05):
Please?
Speaker 8 (01:33:05):
What if you don't know what to do?
Speaker 11 (01:33:06):
I get a car a police. That's why I took
a too long, and I'm waiting for them.
Speaker 8 (01:33:11):
I don't get how every time you take the car,
the car gets stolen.
Speaker 11 (01:33:14):
It's not my song.
Speaker 8 (01:33:16):
If I get this car back, you're not allowed to
drive my car anymore. I don't give how to get
to work. I don't care if you have to take
a bus to work every day. Don't take my car anymore.
Speaker 11 (01:33:26):
It's not my phone.
Speaker 8 (01:33:28):
Whatever. To figure it out. I'm calling back later.
Speaker 18 (01:33:33):
Yeah, yo, is this the owner of the car?
Speaker 12 (01:33:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 18 (01:33:38):
All right, Well, let me tell you the situation I'm
in right now. I have your car, so let's do
some business.
Speaker 8 (01:33:44):
What do you mean you have my car?
Speaker 18 (01:33:45):
Let's just say I have your car held hostage and
I'm looking for some money now.
Speaker 8 (01:33:50):
But you basically telling me you stole my car. You
want me to pay you to get my car back.
Speaker 18 (01:33:54):
Let's do business like men, and you can get your
car back.
Speaker 8 (01:33:57):
You want to do business with me after you take
my car? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 18 (01:34:01):
That's how a good businessman does business. He calls the
guy's car he just stole, and he gets the money.
Speaker 8 (01:34:06):
That's not how it works. I you know what? You
know what? You know what? I you know what? How
much are you looking for?
Speaker 18 (01:34:12):
This is looking around?
Speaker 8 (01:34:13):
Maybe forty g all right, forty g's let's meet right now.
Where would you like to meet anywhere? Bring it back
to the lot that you stole it from, and I'll.
Speaker 18 (01:34:22):
Just saying I'm not going back to the scene of
the crime. Any true criminal like yourself should know that
I'm a criminal.
Speaker 11 (01:34:28):
Now.
Speaker 8 (01:34:28):
You stole my car, and I'm a criminal.
Speaker 18 (01:34:30):
You sound like a criminal. I'm making this convenient for you.
Speaker 8 (01:34:34):
Listen, You're not making anything convenient for me when you
stole my car. I just gotta be a joke, all right.
You're gonna sit there and tell me after you stole
my car you want to do business? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 18 (01:34:45):
I want money, you want your car. Let's meet in
the middle and then.
Speaker 8 (01:34:47):
You know what, do do what you want with the car.
If you don't want why don't you name a spot
to meet me at, because then you got them Well
you know you don't know. I said name a spot,
but you can't name a spot? All right? Why do
you meet me the police precinct? That?
Speaker 18 (01:35:01):
Oh, that's real smart, right, make you happy?
Speaker 8 (01:35:04):
Exactly? So you want to name a spot and I'll
be there.
Speaker 18 (01:35:06):
They'll probably think you stole the car then if we
meet up there.
Speaker 11 (01:35:09):
Like co man.
Speaker 8 (01:35:10):
So when you're on the phone me this whole time,
I'll my problem is on the phone with the cops.
Oh yeah, all right? So do you must be a
dumb man? Do you want right? I am not going
to pay you forty thousand dollars for my car? All right?
Why don't you give me back my car and give
me one hundred grand on top of that?
Speaker 18 (01:35:24):
Why am I giving you money?
Speaker 2 (01:35:25):
How does this correctly?
Speaker 8 (01:35:26):
Exactly? What should I give you money?
Speaker 18 (01:35:28):
