Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, Okay, good morning, love you guys.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Heay, good morning, he were doing?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Hi, my name is Elvis Duran.
Speaker 4 (00:15):
Oh my gosh, everyone's yelling today.
Speaker 5 (00:29):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
It is Tuesday. It's the eighth, the eighth of forever.
It is Tuesday, October eighth, twenty twenty four. For those
who are keeping up with the year, which is some
of us. And welcome to the day. Let's try to
get through this. Make sure we're all taken care of
and tucked in as they say, good morning, and senors,
(00:51):
welcome today. And Danielle, good morning, morning, Hi, Gandhi, how.
Speaker 6 (00:55):
Are you feeling?
Speaker 7 (00:55):
Hello doing okay.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Froggy, lots to talk about today. You're ready to get good?
I know, I know you are scary. Welcome to the day, scary.
Speaker 6 (01:03):
Good morning, and look at.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Dad, Scottie B and Master Control. Hi there ready for
the day. Producer Sam is in the house and Diamonds
here at eight hundred two four to two zero one hundred.
Call her up. She needs a friend. I saw Garrett
walking around something simple, something just to get us going.
How about some chainsmokers and cold Play?
Speaker 8 (01:20):
You know?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Or is it coldplay? Chainsmokers? Which orders should we put
them in? Do we know cold Chane Smokers? I don't
know if it's Chainsmokers and cold Play or Coldplay and Chainsmokers,
doesn't matter.
Speaker 6 (01:30):
It's a great song.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
And welcome to the day. You know, it's one of
those days where, ah, gosh, we know disasters on the way.
There are some days when disaster hits unannounced. This is
one of those days, in one of these weeks where
we know it's on the way and we're keeping an
eye on everything we can. It's a lot to keep
an eye on. And I know that people's anxiety levels
are rolling high, and uh, let's get going. I mean,
(01:51):
you know when you wake up to two headlines. For instance,
the Tampa mayor issues a dire warning before Hurricane Milton,
saying if you choose to stay, you were going to die.
That's the mayor of Tampa giving us very stern warning
out there. As the cleanup and recovery from Helene continues
to happen, here we go and I think tomorrow, right, Froggy,
(02:12):
is tomorrow when it.
Speaker 9 (02:14):
Really hits the fan, very late tomorrow night. I think
technically landfall, which is when the eyewall approaches land that
will be about one am on Thursday morning Wednesday night,
Thursday morning, but they are going to start feeling the
effects very strong late tomorrow evening in the Tampa Bay area.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
You've been watching the news, lots of people trying to
get out of the area into traffic. Used to take
like two hours to get some place on the highways,
Now it can take up to seven or eight or more,
and so the evacuation is on. Let's get all with
our day line too. It's Amy from Bristol, Pennsylvania. Good
morning now. Amy's an eighth grade teacher on our way
to school. He let me ask you a question, Amy,
how are you? By the way, how are you feeling?
Speaker 10 (02:52):
I'm great?
Speaker 2 (02:52):
How are you long?
Speaker 3 (02:53):
We're doing okay. We've got a job to do. You
know that we have a lot of people listening all
around the country and around the world, and it sets
up to to just get in here and just keep
it moving, you know. As a teacher, let me ask you.
Speaker 7 (03:03):
I'm so excited to talk to you all is it's
trying to of for months.
Speaker 6 (03:09):
Well, you're here.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
You finally made it. Amy, there you have it. But
I have to ask you, as a teacher eighth graders
are pretty smart. I mean, eighth graders today are much
smarter than when I was in eighth grade. We were
playing dumb, right, I mean we weren't dumb, but we
weren't together and you know, connected. So what's it like
as a teacher rolling in every day when you know
that the world has some fighting things going on, but
you still have a job to do. You still have
(03:31):
some students to motivate today. How is that for you?
And how does that keep you? Keep you up and going?
I mean, how do you motivate yourself?
Speaker 2 (03:39):
How do I motivate myself? I love my job. I
love getting up and going to work every day.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
And that's what you do. You've got those great kids
waiting for you. Well, look, you are the first caller
of the day. Amy. What do we have for our
friend Amy?
Speaker 11 (03:52):
Well, I'm not sure the dress code at Amy's school,
but we've got the Elvis Strand in the morning show
hoodie on the way thanks to Hackensack Meridian.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Hell, of course all dress codes would accept that. That's awesome,
all right, Amy, You go in there and you take
care of those students, girl, And thank you for listening
to us every day. Thanks for trying for so many
years to get on with us. And there you have it. Yes,
stay motivated when you're responsible for other people. You got
work to do today. I guess this is what it's
like being a parent. Danielle kidding me.
Speaker 6 (04:18):
This is this is why Gandhi will.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Become apparent with me. This is it responsibilities. Yeah, ok ye,
all right, she has plants to take care of it.
That's all she can handle for now. All right, let's
get into the three things we need to know and
let's get on with our Tuesday. What's going on Gandhi?
Speaker 5 (04:32):
All right?
Speaker 7 (04:32):
As Froggy mentioned, Hurricane Milton is forecast to make landfall
in Florida late Wednesday or early Thursday. In the latest
overnight update from the National Hurricane Center, Milton was classified
as a category four storm with maximum wins of one
hundred and fifty five miles per hour. That's just shy
of being a category five, which it was earlier Monday.
With winds clocked at one hundred and eighty miles per hour.
(04:52):
They are saying it could intensify once again. Counties along
Florida's west coast have been ordered to evacuate, with dozens
under a state of emergency. Georgia's Supreme Court is reinstating
the state's six week abortion ban. The rule comes one
week after a lower court struck the ban down. That
decision had allowed the procedure to resume and made them
legal up to twenty two weeks of pregnancy. The six
(05:14):
week ban will now remain in effect while the Georgia
Supreme Court considers the state's appeal of last week's decision.
It's ping ponging back and forth. Meanwhile, the US Supreme
Court will not take up a lawsuit over Texas's near
total ban on abortions. Justices are refusing to hear a
case involving the rules for emergency rooms. That means a
lower court ruling remains in place. It found that er
(05:35):
doctors must follow state law, which bans the procedure unless
a mother's life is in danger. And finally, speaking of
everything going on with Hurricane Helene and now Hurricane Milton,
Zillow now includes climate risk data for every property listed
for sale from the real estate marketplace. Really yes, the
company teamed up with a climate risk firm, First Street,
(05:57):
to include the effects of climate change into its risks square.
It's happening because North Carolina is starting the road to
recovery after we know what happened with Hurricane Helen. Most
property owners there did not have flood insurance. So now
Zillah wants to let people know exactly where they're going
and what the risks are. Huh, I know, And those
are your three things, and.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
There you go. Are you ready for your Tuesday?
Speaker 12 (06:18):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (06:18):
Yes, sir?
Speaker 3 (06:19):
All right, let's go and share it.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
Even the Mercedes Benz Interview.
Speaker 6 (06:24):

(07:03):
You know, keeping it out everything going on with now
Milton rolling through Florida starting late tonight, and we know
we've got work to do as soon as Milton is done,
and we all got to help out to people who
are on the ground, boots on the ground and taking
care of business. Also this week Thursday night here in
New York City on Broadway. Not as catastrophic Danielle and
(07:23):
Gandhi in Aladdin.
Speaker 6 (07:24):
Yeah, on date.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
But Danielle just told us she has a little dance.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
So I don't know if I have to learn it.
They said it's optional that I can do a little
dance at the.
Speaker 6 (07:32):
End with the Genie or you have to learn the
dance day.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Because my part is in the Genie song. Friend like me,
like I play a host, like a game show host,
And so they said, well, you could learn the dance
move right at the end if you want. I was
watching it and I was like, we'll see, we'll see
how rehearsal goes.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Okay, so you have lines, you have lines to remember?
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Oh yeah, we both have lines. And yesterday I thought
to ask do we have to memorize our lines? And
they were like yeah. I'm like, of course I should
have asked that way, Baby, I should have.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
What about Gandhi? I mean, do you have a lot
of lines to remember for Thursday night?
Speaker 5 (08:03):
No?
Speaker 7 (08:03):
Not really. Danielle has like three times the lines.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
See you.
Speaker 7 (08:07):
I'm excited.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
I was like, oh good, you gotta make sure that
Gandhi before you go on stage, to make sure you
know you have all your lines.
Speaker 7 (08:12):
I know, I looked at them yesterday. I got this.
We can do this. It's gonna be great.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
God, what's it like to have short term memory? I
would not be able to be on stage at all
remember anything.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
I keep forgetting a couple of the lines, and I'm like,
oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, what am I gonna do?
What am I gonna do? I'm like, oh, my game
show host, I can just hold cards? Can I just
hold cards in my stat shop?
Speaker 3 (08:28):
One would think I'm gonna ask. So, you know, everyone's
just for many various reasons. People are you know, people
were stressed out. I mean, you know, anxiety comes and goes,
and that's just the way of life. We know that.
But I know Alex and I were up and we
had a little dinner and we watched some TV. We
watched we started binge watching in the show we were watching,
and I said, finally, after the last episode we watched,
said we gotta go to bed. We can pick this
(08:49):
up tomorrow. And I just wanted to tell everyone here
in the room what we were watching because we were
enjoying it. I don't remember what it was. I have
no clue. I don't remember what it was. I don't
remember what we were watching last night? Is that weirdless TV?
Speaker 6 (09:02):
Sometimes?
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Well that's what it was, mindless. I'll give you that.
And plus, you know, if your mind's elsewhere, you got
lots going on. I mean, we've got busy days and
busy days ahead and whatever. You know, it's like, okay, well,
sometimes I guess you don't have to remember what you
watched last night. It'll all come back to me. It'll
come flooding back.
Speaker 7 (09:19):
How many episodes of it did you watch?
Speaker 3 (09:22):
I think three?
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Wow?
Speaker 7 (09:23):
Okay, you do recollect anything about it? Who wasn't it?
It was about?
Speaker 6 (09:29):
Not at all?
Speaker 7 (09:30):
Were there?
Speaker 6 (09:31):
I would? I was watching it, okay, and I'm waiting
for Alex to.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Get back to me. I'm sure if you remember, but
that kind of impact, well, one would think, but if
you're watching mindless TV, then you know it's supposed to
be mindless, so I'm hoping it was. I hope it
did a job, hoping it wasn't like some award winning
like Thriller that we should be paying attention. Anyway, It's okay.
Sometimes you just got to relax, don't push it. That's
(09:57):
how that's how nerves go, you know. Hey, let's get
into our horoscopes with producer Sam. Who's in the house.
How's your new house coming together? Are you unpacking things
or just living on the floor.
Speaker 13 (10:06):
A little bit of both.
Speaker 14 (10:08):
Like you walk in and it looks like we're all together,
and then you turn into the back room and it's like, oh,
this is this is a Hordo's nest.
Speaker 13 (10:14):
That's what it looks like.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
It'll come together.
Speaker 6 (10:17):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
I mean some people have to move into a new
house and have it all done immediately, where you start
like doing your job and you don't stop till it's done,
or like me, here's a box, we'll get to that
next jime.
Speaker 6 (10:29):
No, No, that's me.
Speaker 14 (10:31):
I have to unpack everything immediately, and William takes his time,
so we're we're getting through this together.
Speaker 6 (10:36):
All right.
Speaker 3 (10:37):
Let's get into your horoscopes.
Speaker 13 (10:38):
Who are you doing them with Hoti Bee, please join me,
oh Hati.
Speaker 15 (10:44):
If it's your birthday today, you share it with Bruno
Mars Chevy Chase, Nick Cannon, Matt Damon, and Bella Thorne.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Wow.
Speaker 15 (10:51):

Speaker 6 (12:12):
Nine Tuesday morning, Gandhi, Hey, Gandhi.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yes, I had to call Alex to ask him what
we were watching last night. Uh, I texted you while
we were watching it, and I've told you about it.
Speaker 7 (12:24):
Oh the thing that you said was total trash.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
No, no, no that Why don't even get into that. No,
mister McMahon. Oh okay, okay, Yes, we were watching mister
Yes Scotti b you watched it too.
Speaker 6 (12:35):
Yes, I'm almost done.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
Well, here's the thing, so as you know this was
of course, it's the documentary about McMahon Vince McMahon, right,
and uh, they tell you as it starts. I'm not
giving anything away that in the middle of talking about
his career. In his lifetime, all these charges came up
about very serious, serious accusations and this and that. So
leading up to that, we're not to that yet. But
(12:57):
it's fascinating how the w w F w w E
came into play and was just I don't know the
story behind it. I was totally totally turned on by it.
I think it's great. What about Scotty. You're because you're
a WWE fan, right, I.
Speaker 15 (13:10):
Was a huge fan of the eighties and nineties. I
kind of tailed off there after a while. But I
didn't know that like all the other I didn't know
that it was regional wrestling was regional and they came
in and swooped in and took over everything, and I
didn't realize they had a big fight with w c
W in the ratings and it was it was amazing, fascinating.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Yeah, oh yeah, and what and we all know it
turned into like the most powerful and powerful entertainment industry
industry leaders known de mand But so I was born
and raised in Dallas, so our region was the Van Erics.
Oh yeah, which in the zach Atfron was in that
Van eric movie that came out.
Speaker 15 (13:43):
And I didn't know everybody. Everybody left Vince McMahon, all
the big wrestlers, they left him.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
And didn't they have to change their name because WWF
was like some kind of animal for a while life yeashion, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Yeah, you went to WWE. I mean, Froggy, you were
friends with hult Cogan. He turned out to not be
the greatest of guys in this thing.
Speaker 9 (14:02):
Yeah, that's a nice way to putting in my heart.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Belonged to Ricky the Dragon steamboat back in the day.
Speaker 6 (14:12):
Yes, into a slim gym.
Speaker 7 (14:14):
He savage roman ns and I know nothing about him
but the fact that he is.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
What that's all you need to know. But what's the
guy's name? He was like the Latin lover that they
had one name, like Fernando or something, and he sometimes
he had a rose in his mouth and danceing around.
Speaker 6 (14:30):
It was I don't remember it.
Speaker 9 (14:31):
Remember Bruce the beefcake barber used to cut people's hair,
you guys, Yeah.
Speaker 16 (14:37):
It was.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Valentine.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
No, no, no, someone's gonna text it in. No Fandango,
I love Fandango.
Speaker 7 (14:48):
For the ticket sales.
Speaker 6 (14:51):
Do you like him?
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Absolutely? But all the stories behind all these people so
watching it the mister McMahon's story. I have heard it's
gonna get really graphic and really sad and some of
the accusations that start rolling. But up until that, I'm
kind of enjoying it. I mean, it's it's interesting, fascinating anyway,
So now I know what I watched. We were watching
a show before that, and it was like a modern
(15:13):
day Jerry Springer ish thing. It's on Netflix. Okay, this
comedian Tim all right, it's Tim Dylon. Yeah, and he
has people come out on stage and they admit to
their moms that they were porn stars at one time,
and the girlfriends start yelling at them, and it is
it's like it's a modern day Jerry Springer kind of thing,
and it gets kind of wacky. We turned it all.
I couldn't watch it. I don't know anyway. Anyone heard
(15:36):
of that one?
Speaker 7 (15:36):
No, no, I have not, But now I'm mildly interested.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
Yeah you should be.
Speaker 7 (15:40):
Did he turn it out because it was cringier because
you didn't like it?
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Or it was both a little bit. I mean I
wanted to like it. All right, Well, we have to
take a break because I have to go look up
Fandango and go into that rabbit hole.
Speaker 6 (15:52):
Danielle, what do you have coming up?
Speaker 1 (15:54):
We're gonna talk about more reasons to put your phone
away when you're at a concert you might miss And
Harry and Meghan are they on the rocks?
Speaker 6 (16:06):
He is a Justin Bieber here.
Speaker 17 (16:08):
Hi, this is Elton John. This is Britney Spears, Elvis.
You're in the Morning Show, Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Hey, welcome to Tuesday, another day to try to get
it right. Lots going on, a lot of people are
just keeping an eye definitely keeping an eye on what's
happening with Milton. I'm going to hit Florida late late tonight.
We'll get into that in just a second. I'm sorry,
tomorronight right, today's late tomorrow night. Thank you. A lot
of people listening to us, let's say, in Ohio or
across the country in the Midwest, and you're like, well,
(16:41):
thank god, we don't live there, and you're, of course
you're you're worried and concerned about the people that do
live there. We, you know, being the show that we are,
We're not only on in New York and where you are.
We're also on all across Florida. We're across well down
to the south, the southeast. And we also have a
lot of people who live in areas where maybe you
live in the Midwest, they have family living in Tampa,
(17:03):
or maybe in Fort Myers, or maybe in Asheville, North Carolina,
where they're still trying to pick up from Helene. And
so we're all connected, we're all affected by this in
one way or another, and it's up to us. We
may have the sunniest of sunny skies Thursday into Friday
of this week while everyone else is just trying to
keep it together and keep themselves alive. It's up to
(17:24):
us to come to the rescue. It really truly is.
And if it's something as little as giving a few
dollars to Red Cross or something as huge and monumental,
is helping people in your area who are going to
truck things in in an organized manner, do it because
they're going to be there for you one day. They've
been there for us here in New York, and so
we learn, we've learned several times here that we need help.
(17:45):
It's okay to understand that you need help from time
to time in life. Meanwhile, Gandhi's father, who's very, very
very stubborn. According to Gandhi, I don't know. I met
the guy. He seemed okay to me. Yeah, he has
to take it and get out of the area today, right.
Speaker 7 (18:02):
I hope he does. Yeah. He was kind of of this,
h it's gonna be fine. We this happens all the time.
They always say it's gonna be stronger than it is.
Very Floridian. They've been down there for a long time.
They just kind of don't take a lot of these
things seriously. And finally late last night he started to
take it seriously.
Speaker 6 (18:19):
Good.
Speaker 7 (18:20):
It's a little late. Yes, it is good. I'm just
kind of like, you gotta get out, move, get to Orlando,
go wherever you can. By the way, I need to
know about price gouging and how that works.
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Do you want to talk about that?
Speaker 7 (18:31):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (18:31):
I do.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Okay, then new show up.
Speaker 8 (18:33):
I think you will.
Speaker 3 (18:34):
I guess what you're about to hear it. She's about
to talk about it, all right, Go ahead, Gandhi, tell
him what happened?
Speaker 7 (18:38):
Airlines? What the hell?
Speaker 18 (18:40):
So?
Speaker 7 (18:40):
Yesterday I wanted to book him a flight just to
come here United Basic economy, which is one where you
don't even take a bag. The first time I looked
at it was twelve hundred dollars. The second time I
looked at it, eighteen hundred dollars. That is insane, even
for the day before. That's an insane price for people
to pay to try and get out of a disaster zone.
I have not looked today. Maybe they've come to their
(19:02):
senses and they're doing something differently, But those flights were
out of control.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
I mean, and at this point, don't you think they
should do favors for people and feel like, you know what,
let's tell people out and make it affordable so they
can get out.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
One would think one would think, yes, well, and see,
I don't know. I mean, let's say we're living in
sunny sky days and it's just there's no weather incident
going on. Do those tickets ever go up that much? Then?
I guess that's my question.
Speaker 7 (19:26):
I do a lot of last minute travel, and I've
never seen a basic economy ticket for almost two thousand dollars.
And no, by the way, that was stopping. That wasn't
even a direct flight. And I know sometimes those are
more just because of the airport taxes. However, I was
just I was astonished. I said, whatever, we'll book it.
Just get out. Yeah, you got to get out of there.
But I was very disappointed to see that orbits. I've
(19:47):
never seen this before. Orbits wouldn't even connect any flights.
They said, sorry, the pages down. Try again, Delta, same thing. Sorry,
we have no information for you. I was like, wow,
this is this is intense.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
You know, we live in this really really advanced age.
We think, we tend to think we live in this
advanced age when it comes to computers, communication and all
of that stuff, mainframe, this and that. Do we? I mean,
you know it when you walk into your living room
and push the light switch and the lights come on,
you just take it for granted it happens every day,
(20:19):
and then one day it doesn't. Then you figure out
it was something like a rat got into a generator
somewhere down the street, and now everyone because of one
rat in one generator a block away, you have no
power for three days. So I mean, are we all
living like by that little thin hair?
Speaker 5 (20:36):
Just sure?
Speaker 7 (20:37):
And how well prepared are we if the power actually
goes out? Are you?
Speaker 5 (20:41):
I'm not.
Speaker 7 (20:43):
I have some candles in a flashlight, but I think
my time is like a day you have a.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Generator no in my apartment. Oh oh yeah, that's right.
Speaker 3 (20:50):
That's right as I understand it, as far as computer
reservation systems, as it has been explained to me, it
is a monster with many moving parts. It takes all
things into account, how many people are on the plane,
where they're sitting, how much they're paying. And you could
be sitting next to someone who paid two hundred dollars
for that seat, and you paid two thousand dollars for that.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Seat, but dollars to go to Florida from New York
or vice versa.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
That's it exactly. They have put so many different variables
into these these programs to programming these things. It's computers.
It's I don't even think it's people at this point.
It's people not watching the computers. It's a problem. There's
so many people who want to get those flights out
of Florida. Yeah, the prices go up, that's that's that's
(21:38):
the capitalistic way, I guess, you know. But when it
happens during a storm, I don't think the computer computer
knows there's a storm. It doesn't know.
Speaker 7 (21:45):
Yeah, maybe that'll fix it.
Speaker 3 (21:47):
Maybe, I hope so, I hope so. But as long
as your dad is safe, yes, because he is a
national treasure. I love him.
Speaker 7 (21:53):
He is Oh, thank you. I love him very much too.
And that's why I am not really an anxious person.
The anxiety I feel right now like I feel it
in my fingertips. I'm like, eh, gotta get you somewhere.
Please listen to us. I tell them all the time, Dad,
I'm the captain. Now you have to pay attention.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
How's that working out for you?
Speaker 7 (22:11):
Terribly? My sister tries to say she has a little
more power.
Speaker 11 (22:14):
It doesn't work, all right, Danielle, you have a lot
on your plate. Look at the stack that Danielle brought
in so much. My god, where do you want to start?
What's going on?
Speaker 8 (22:23):
All right?
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Well, let's start with Halsey. She has the countdown to
her album, The Great Impersonator, and so she said, from
now till the album drops on October twenty fifth, I
will be impersonating a different icon every day and teasing
a little bit of the song that they inspired. So
day number one is Dolly Pardon and the track is
called Hometown. And let me just show you what she
(22:45):
looks like as Dolly Pardon. Whoa she looks whoa?
Speaker 3 (22:51):
That's pretty Oh, my god, she looks She should keep that.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
It looks great on her. So yes, I can't wait
to see who she is tomorrow. So Justin Timberlake fan
a chance to be serenaded by him because they were
texting on their phone during the show. This happened in Montreal. Yeah,
happened in Montreal, and he tried to perform for a
group of his female fans that were in the front row.
Everybody was singing along, everybody was excited, except for this
(23:16):
one person whose head was in the phone. Justin couldn't
get her attention. Somebody tapped her on the shoulder and
by the time that happened, Justin had moved on. So
she tried to grab Justin's leg to get him to
come back over.
Speaker 6 (23:27):
And at that point, oh dude.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
You lose Liz.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
I mean, he was literally singing in her face and
she didn't know Justin Timberlake was singing hit her face.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Insane. It's on TikTok. If you get a chance, you
can see you can see the clip. I mean, really
so crazy. So the British tabloids are saying that Prince
Harry and making Markle have some issues going on. Possibly
he traveled solo to Africa, where their romance first started.
She was absent from his fortieth birthday celebrations. Some say
they're taking a trial separation. They've been drifting apart a while,
(24:00):
so who knows, but I will keep you posted. But
that is the rumors that are out there today. So
the attorney representing one hundred and twenty alleged Diddy victims
says a list celebrities are paying off his clients to
keep their names out of this mess. He says, some
of these celebrities, most that you would all recognize, have
(24:20):
already settled just to keep their names out of the press.
So we may never see some of the people who
were involved with this whole thing. So, which is insane
to me? And are you surprised that this Kanye and
his wife Bianca looks like they are divorcing. Oh, they've
been married less than two years. And yesterday, yeah, we
were learning that they're divorcing.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
Well, she wearing too much clothing or something.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Maybe it might have been what happened. I don't I
got tired of being cold. So this is so crazy.
What are we watching? Dancing at the Stars? The voice
You've got the Presley's Elvis, Lisa, Marie and Riley. You've
got Ali Wong's single Lady over on Netflix. It is
a stand up special. You've got the Phillies and the Mets,
the Dodgers and the Padres. Undercover on Prime is interesting
because the first episode has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback
(25:06):
Baker Mayfield. He is undercover, dressed undercover, hanging out with fans.
So it's actually pretty cool if you want to watch that.
And Elvis, you said, mister McMahon is pretty good over
on Netflix if you.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
I find it fascinating a WWE slash WWFWWF fan whatever,
I'm loving the storytelling. I'm loving it.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Lots lots to check out. And that's my Danielle report.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Thank you, Danielle.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
The Brooklyn Boys podcast.
Speaker 19 (25:35):
Comedian Sebastian Man of Scalcos.
Speaker 16 (25:38):
Yes, today I do a radio tour.
Speaker 18 (25:41):
My neighbors are sawing down their house.
Speaker 6 (25:44):
It's like it couldn't have been worse time.
Speaker 20 (25:49):
Listen to The Brooklyn Boys podcast on the iHeartRadio app,
Apple Podcasts or wherever to get your podcasts.
Speaker 5 (25:57):
Elvis ter Ran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (25:58):
With Wendy's Breakfast is Everything You want for breakfast fresh
cracked eggs, seasoned potatoes, American cheese, cheese, sauce, bacon, or sausage,
all rolled up into one warm tortilla. Want the boss
of breakfast Burritos gotta be Wendy's at participating in US Wendy's.
Speaker 5 (26:15):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (26:17):
Got a call from a friend and I said, Hey,
are you telling this weekend? Let's go see Joker? Have
you not been watching the news? Did you not hear
what Gandhi said about Joker?
Speaker 1 (26:27):
It even made less money than they originally thought. Again
why they were saying like they thought ridiculous, it's not
going to make the money back. I don't think that
it took to make the movie. Whoa unless people will
see it. But now that everyone's reviewing it, people know
it's not so good.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
Well, the way Gandhi describes it, Danielle, it seems as
if they've been making movies for several years now, don't
you know, you know when you put it together, it's this, guys,
this isn't good.
Speaker 6 (26:56):
We really shouldn't release this.
Speaker 7 (26:58):
I cannot believe that it went through all of the channels.
You know, it goes through and someone said, that's it,
that's the version.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
Roll, And you know what I think is really not cool.
If you watch the trailer, you can't tell it's a
musical from the trailer.
Speaker 7 (27:11):
It's very live musical.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
The trailer doesn't really have any musical numbers in it whatsoever.
But it's a musical, so it's a lot. Yeah, I
could see a really big fan of The Joker going
to see a musical. Most of them don't like that stuff.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Why do the way? Gandhi is a huge fan of
The Joker. Yes, and she hated it.
Speaker 6 (27:28):
So here's my thing.
Speaker 3 (27:30):
Though, you have this finished film, and I guess we
have to put it down on a certain date. We
have no choice. Is it like you burn the turkey
at Thanksgiving? We have no choice. This is all we have.
It's everyone's at the table. I got to serve it.
Here's the Joker. Enjoy it your lunch.
Speaker 7 (27:44):
I don't know, But haven't we seen so many stories
where they say, oh, production has been delayed, the release
has been delayed because of you know, creative differences or
whatever was going on. I did read. I don't know
if I told you guys this that the director, creator
of the first one said that this one is sort
of punishment for the way that people reacted to the
first one, and that is what it felt like.
Speaker 3 (28:05):
Okay, well, if you if you were a company that
invested in that film, you're probably gonna sue someoney you
took you took my hundreds of millions of dollars and
you just squandered it away because you want to punish people.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Do you know how much it cost to make the movie?
How ninety million dollars.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
It's a lot of money. So that I feel like
when we come in every morning, we're thinking, should we
punish the audience for some reason? Dare you react to
the audience has been very bad? Let's give them a
really bad show anyway. So okay, then what a week
or two ago we had that Megal Mechal, Yes, Mega Flopolis.
Speaker 6 (28:43):
They put how much money into that, well, one hundred
million or two whatever.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
I don't know. I don't know. We were always wanting,
we always wanted to be big, big time Hollywood producers.
I guess no, not anymore.
Speaker 6 (28:57):
Let's not do that.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
Oh, you know you're talking about your father Gandhi, who
needs to get out of the Tampa region immediately along
with you. Know, hundreds of thousands of other people who
are all on the highway in traffic right now. People
were asking about your mom. Do you not care about
your mom anymore? You just want to leave her there
and Tampa as your dad runs away? What's going on?
Speaker 7 (29:15):
I probably seem like such a bitch, only worried about
my dad. My mom is on a girl's trip with
her friends out west. They are in Aspen at the moment.
They've been you know, Denver, they make Yellowstone, They're all
over the place. So she's gonna stay out there if
she needs to. My dad is the one I'm worried
about because my mom. If my mom was there, she
would have made him leave. But my dad, you know,
he does what he wants and doesn't pay attention to anybody.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
So I see you know, I don't know your sister
very well, but I see you and your dad as
very very similar.
Speaker 7 (29:44):
We have we have some similarities.
Speaker 6 (29:47):
Well, you know, Gandhi.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Every time you complain about anything that your dad does
that you find to be irritating, huh, you do some
of the some of the same stuff in your own way.
Speaker 5 (29:57):
This is a lie, and I will Daniel, you.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
Know talking you're stubborn, just like your dad.
Speaker 7 (30:03):
I would evacuate this one. I would be out, especially
if my poor little family was so worried about me
and they were telling me.
Speaker 13 (30:10):
Daddy, you got to get out of here, please just go.
Speaker 7 (30:12):
I would leave.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
A lot of people are texting and talking about what
they're doing. They're packing up and leaving, or they've already left,
heading toward all over the place. I mean, some people
are driving toward Saint Augustine and Jacksonville, where a Froggy
is located.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
Some people are coming down to South.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Florida, by the way in Miami, and even though there's
bad flooding expected here and there and everywhere, people are
coming to town. People need to get out of that area.
So you know, come on, everyone, be welcoming, be nice.
No price gouging. Yeah, Miami is expensive enough. It's not
getting into that, all right. What are we doing here?
Nate and Kelly, our friend Jeff from Jeff and Rizzo.
(30:51):
They're in Asheville. They have a morning show there and
they have been, of course devastated by Helene. And now
they're watching people right down the street on the other
side on the Gulf Coast, preparing for Milton. So we're
gonna see how they're doing. They still need help. And
a very good point that Nate made earlier is, you know,
(31:13):
we have someone who makes these mic flags for our microphones.
The things have Elvis rand Morning Show written on them.
You've seen them. They haven't been able to go in
and make them. They haven't had power at how many
days I.
Speaker 6 (31:23):
Mean since Selene went through a week and a half ago.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
Helene.
Speaker 6 (31:26):
Well, I know, and.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Just because the story moves on to someone else doesn't
mean their story is over. It is in full effect.
So we'll talk to Jeff and see what they're going through.
Maybe they can help us, help us figure out how
to prepare to help those on the golf coast as well.
All right, let's take the break. We'll be back.
Speaker 6 (31:44):
I promise we're not normal.
Speaker 5 (31:47):
So, mister ran in the Morning.
Speaker 21 (31:49):
Show, number one, elvistor in in the Morning Show.
Speaker 6 (32:04):
You know, there are.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Lots and lots of threats to our safety here in
the US. In these threats come in many forms, I
mean from like public health crisis, natural disasters, mass shootings,
traffic accidents, whatever. But aside from those types of hazards
that can cause physical harm, you know, there are other
reasons why you should or should not choose to live
(32:28):
in a certain city or town. So wallet Hub compared
more than one hundred and eighty cities across forty one
key indicators of safety, including traffic fatalities, assaults per capita,
and also shootings and natural disasters, and they've come up
with a list of the safest cities to live in
in the US. Do you want to hear this? Yeah, yeah,
(32:49):
we are on in the safest city in America. According
to this survey. South Burlington, Vermont is number one safest
city in America. There are a multitude of reasons. Casper,
Wyoming safe, Warwick, Rhode Island, Burlington, Vermont. We're on there, Boise, Idaho.
We're on in Boise too, aren't we h I think
(33:11):
so all safe. So the only one Virginia beats. Virginia's
on the list, and they're on the ocean. So I'm
kind of wonder if you know, I don't know, So
I wonder how many people right now are thinking should
we rethink where we live? Even though you know, people
who live in the hurricane zone love where they live.
(33:31):
That's their home. That's why they go back. Yeah, people
will Why don't they just move because that's their home.
I don't know, have you ever thought about living in
a safer place?
Speaker 6 (33:40):
No, see, exactly me too.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
I mean Burlington Vermont's beautiful, don't get me wrong.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
I like to visit on a vacation there.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
They grow great pot up there. It's awesome. Hey, anyway,
living in a safe place. So our friend Jeff from
Rizzo and Jeff Show. They're on one oh five nine
the Mountain in Asheville, North Carolina, still still totally totally
affected by what Helene rolled through and did to them. Jeff,
I've known Jeff for many years. You guys have to
Hi Jeff, welcome to our show. How are you doing today?
Speaker 7 (34:12):
Hey?
Speaker 12 (34:12):
Alvis Rizzo's here with me as well.
Speaker 8 (34:15):
Hi.
Speaker 22 (34:16):
Hey, hey Elvis, Hey don't buddy, Yeah Elvis, you know,
on this morning, and still doing this every single day,
still in recovery mode.
Speaker 12 (34:26):
Still here. Still no water, there's absolutely no water. We
haven't had it since you know, this kind of whole
thing happened to us. So there's a lot of struggling
and a lot of repairs that really need to happen.
The infrastructure here in Asheville has just been decimated, you know,
or or nothing from.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
The outside looking at and you're like, well, wait, you're
in this predicament because of water, basically.
Speaker 18 (34:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 22 (34:49):
And the funny thing. The funny thing is Elvis two
years ago there was some snowstorm. They didn't have water
for three weeks and the Army Corps of Engineers said
they fixed it. Yeah, yes they didn't.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
No, all right, Well, it's fascinating to hear where you
are in this game compared to where you know, people
on the other side on the Gulf Coast are about
to go through again, and it's just crazy. So where
are you right now? I mean, how's the feeling in town?
How are people dealing with each other? And is it
(35:21):
still like Okay, we're in this together, We're going to
beat this thing, or like how is everyone feeling?
Speaker 22 (35:26):
I mean, I'll be honest with you, I think we're
starting to hit that frustration wall. We're eleven twelve days in,
nobody has water, nobody can flush toilets. People are starting
to get aggravated. I think mental health is starting to
get affected. We're trying, we're trying to be you know,
Western North Carolina strong, but it's real hard when you
can't go to the bathroom, when it takes five minutes
(35:48):
to brush your teeth, when you can't shower, it's really depressing.
It's hard.
Speaker 12 (35:53):
So you never thought that you'd be standing in line
at a public shower in a Walmart parking lot and
it would be the greatest hour you ever had in
your life.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Well, like you know, and this is I know, people
listening to us across the country going wait, hold on,
what can you repeat that? This is the reality, this
is what's going on. And we were talking about this earlier, Jeff.
Result in the result. We just take things for granted.
You do, you walk into a bathroom, in flush a toilet,
whatever you just did goes away, and then one day
(36:22):
it doesn't. You're like, well, wait, this isn't the world
I'm used to living in, And yeah, but you are.
Speaker 6 (36:28):
So Look, as we know.
Speaker 12 (36:30):
We had a man called just before you know, we
came on and literally just as he was talking to us,
his power went on and he started crying and he
just started crying and he couldn't believe it that his
power had just gone on for the first time. But
you can't cook, I mean, you got to think about it.
You can't cook, there's no Wi Fi. There's no water,
so you need the electric for the Wi Fi. In
the mountains, a lot of people have well, well the
(36:52):
well rues on the electric. So there's so many of
these factors that fall into place, and it's yeah, it's
been right.
Speaker 22 (37:00):
Lies it's it's horrifying. And I hope that with the
other storm that's coming to Florida. You know, we're worried
that people are going to go down to Florida and
they need that help, especially if it's going to be
that bad. But if they forget us, I mean, we
have months through years before this is even remotely the same.
Speaker 3 (37:16):
Well that that's where we were going to go with
this conversation. You know, you know how news is, because
you've both been in this business for a million years.
The news will now turn to Tampa, It'll turn to
that that that that that that hurricane zone that that
Milton is creating.
Speaker 6 (37:33):
We can't do that.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
You know, there are people all over the country who
are still paying the price for something that's happened within
the last month, week, or years. So what where what
are you needing now? What what can we do for you?
You and your friends in Asheville, North Carolina.
Speaker 12 (37:51):
Yeah, you know, I think the water is a big,
big thing. I think that's a lot. There's still some people,
they're in recovery mode. Like I said, they're helping out.
But I think the water is a big, big problem.
It's we're getting a few things back. I mean there
was like no gas. You have to wait in line
for four hours to get gas, those types of things.
But uh, you know, stuff like that to literally, I mean,
(38:11):
think how simplistic it is all us to flush your
toilet and it's just.
Speaker 22 (38:15):
That I would say. I would say that in Elvis.
I'm diabetic. I had to send my son to New
York because I had to get him out of here.
He was seven. Uh you know, I just diabetic medicine.
Needles supplies a medicine. I mean, it's so hard to
get medicine. I mean it's so bad. I mean, I
haven't taken my regular dose of insulin in in in
(38:37):
you know, two weeks. You know, it's it's it's it's
awful and we're trying to find it. But we're FedExing
it in and FedEx it's stuck in Charlotte, So you know,
we're trying so we need a lot, we need water, medicine.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
And what you're hearing now is just two guys in
one community and we're talking about this these stories times
a million and so. But you say to us, we
need water, okay, and we're thinking, yeah, we got to
get them water. Wait, how do we do that? How
do we I can't get you water? What can we
(39:12):
do to get your water turned on? What can we
do to help?
Speaker 18 (39:16):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (39:16):
I mean I don't know. I think we feel helpless
because we know you need it.
Speaker 22 (39:22):
I mean, I guess the best of what we've been
telling people to do is if they're being honest, like
look on GoFundMe for real families that live in western
North Carolina. I mean that's probably the best thing. I'm
not saying anything bad about, you know, the Red Cross
or anything, but I would just say look for family.
I mean, we've had a family on who lived in
Chimney Rock. They lost everything, they thought they were gonna die.
(39:42):
I mean, we've had so many people who have lost
it all. I saw a guy crying, throwing out everything.
He was saying, everything I've ever worked for. He was
in weeping in uh, you know, Canton. I mean It's
just just things like that. Find those local go fundmes,
make sure they're real, and just reach out and donate
to them, even if it's five bucks. It means the world,
(40:03):
it really does. We have to survive here. You know
we're going to lose our advertisers.
Speaker 12 (40:09):
No business is here.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
Yeah, you know you know something. Okay, I gotta turn
I gotta turn the camera on you guys. You're by
the way, Rizzio and Jeff. They have their show in
one oh five nine in the Mountain, Ashville, North Carolina.
What you guys are doing is very important. And you're
talking about a guy you had on the phone and
as you were talking to him, his electricity came on
(40:30):
and he he just broke down crying. You know what,
you were there to remind everyone listening that there are
reasons to celebrate these little, these little monumental things as
you move forward to get out of the out of
the darkness. You know what I'm saying, and what you
guys are doing is so important. And I know that
it's taking a toll on you, as it is taking
a toll on everyone in your community, but thank you
(40:51):
for what you're doing. What you're doing is totally priceless.
Speaker 12 (40:54):
Yeah, and I always say, you know, for the people
don't realize, and you know, we work in radio where
you know, behind it and all kinds of stuf. But
people would call us and tell us, hey, for ten days,
I had no phone, I had no electric but you
know what I had, I had my radio, and you
guys were the lifelines that kept us going every morning,
you know, disseminating information, maybe finding a way to give
(41:14):
us a little chuckle here and there. But literally the
only connection to the outside world that anybody.
Speaker 22 (41:20):
Had was the radio, and so important. Radio is so important, Elvis,
It's so important, and that's what we're learning here.
Speaker 5 (41:27):
I know.
Speaker 3 (41:28):
I know some people think we're the lowest of the
lowest form of Carnie workers.
Speaker 12 (41:34):
But in my past where that could have been the.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Well, look, we love you, Rizo and Jeff. Thank you
so much for spending time with us. I know you're
very very busy, and we're here, you know. And just
a reminder that once the cameras move from one disaster
to another doesn't mean disaster A is taken care of,
because it's far from over. I always remember that and
thank you for your time and let us know if
you need anything.
Speaker 12 (41:58):
Okay, Oh, thank you, appreciate your buddy, thank you man.
Speaker 3 (42:01):
All right, Rizon, all right, Jeff, take care.
Speaker 6 (42:02):
Guys.
Speaker 3 (42:03):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (42:03):
Well, I'm looking at some of the pictures of where
they are. Oh my gosh, I can't even like wow.
Speaker 9 (42:11):
But you know how North Carolina should not be something
that is getting that type of damage from a hurricane.
And that's something you can fathom. They're hundreds of miles
from the coast, and most of the time when a
hurricane comes in, you're looking at coastal towns. But a
lot of things went wrong there.
Speaker 1 (42:27):
Can I ask a question, how are they broadcasting? Where
are they broadcasting.
Speaker 3 (42:31):
From that they did not I don't know, you know,
thank god they have a generator or something, you know,
I don't know. I will say to your point too, though,
Froggy is let's look at okay, look at Tampa. Tampa
right now the mayor is saying get out now, leave
Tampa or you will die. These are people who are
(42:51):
still rebuilding from something that happened, you know, saving a
year or two ago. I mean, this doesn't get fixed overnight.
It just doesn't.
Speaker 7 (42:58):
Yeah right, oh, got it too.
Speaker 9 (43:01):
Yeah, ten days ago a storm was one hundred and
ten miles off the coast, and they have this damage
and now they've got one bearing down on them in.
Speaker 6 (43:08):
Less than forty eight hours. It'll be there.
Speaker 9 (43:10):
I mean, it's And they had gone from having then
initial storm. They went into recovery efforts and they were
really doing well. And now the recovery efforts have all stopped.
Now they're in evacuation mode. The governor yesterday, Ron DeSantis,
said that all lanes of the Interstate going north all
three lanes, and now the two emergency lanes are also lanes.
So they turned the interstate into five lanes, just trying
(43:33):
to get as many people as they can out to
try to get them to safety.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
I just saw more coverage of that, and you know,
it's a traviate jam. But people, we'll get out, but
they have to.
Speaker 6 (43:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
All right, So let's get into the three things we
need to know from Gandhi and let's move on. Let's
keep on moving forward. Gandhi, it's all you. What's going on?
Speaker 7 (43:52):
All right, We're going to start with all of this.
The White House says that the federal government is preparing
to lend support as the Florida Coast braces for the
impact of Hurricane Milton. The storm is currently moving as
a Category four with sustained winds of one hundred and
fifty five miles per hour. Yesterday it was a Cat five,
but meteorologists are warning that a Cat four is no
less dangerous as the storm is physically larger. Milton is
(44:14):
expected to come ashore late Wednesday or early Thursday. The
Administration says the Federal Emergency Management Agency has the funding
needed to respond to Milton, as well as the ongoing
recovery and rebuilding effort after Hurricane Helene left that trail
of destruction in the southeast two weeks ago. President Biden
has approved Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's request for an emergency
declaration that will free up federal resources for disaster response efforts.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
With under a month.
Speaker 7 (44:40):
Left before election day, early voting is kicking off today
in four states we are getting close. Voters can make
their choices known in Ohio, New Mexico, Indiana, and Wyoming.
For this year's election, Forty six states, along with the
District of Columbia, are offering early voting options. And finally, Danielle,
this one is just for you. If you are looking
for something spooky to do this Halloween, you might want
(45:02):
to drive on the most haunted road in America? Do
you know where it is? New Jersey?
Speaker 13 (45:07):
Were in Jersey, New Jersey, Daniel, is my street?
Speaker 16 (45:12):
Right?
Speaker 7 (45:14):
A Renzel car company called six says it's a winding
ten mile stretch in West Milford, New Jersey.
Speaker 1 (45:19):
That's not that far before.
Speaker 6 (45:21):
Just forget is that with the Big Tree?
Speaker 7 (45:27):
Tales of paranormal activity on road?
Speaker 3 (45:29):
Yeah, don't go. We were kicked out. Oh yes, great,
t was kicked out because you went to the devil Tree.
Speaker 7 (45:37):
My god.
Speaker 3 (45:39):
I mean this guy, this guy with no teeth and
a big rake came out again.
Speaker 7 (45:42):
Yeah, they say there's all kinds of stuff that happens,
phantom headlights, a ghost boy who supposedly throws coins at
drivers from dead Man's curved Interesting four in Florida came
in number second in the Haunted Road report, with Bray
Road and Wisconsin placing third. But it's right here for you, Daniel.
Speaker 13 (45:57):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
And those are your three things, and you not going
to be going there, but I love it.
Speaker 3 (46:02):
You see, born in the Bronx in New York City.
But look New Jersey pulled you in because it knew
you were one of them.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
They did definitely.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
All right. You know what, there is a headline today
which just seems just not that important all of a sudden,
I think it's Prime Day again on Amazon?
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Oh is it today?
Speaker 3 (46:20):
Isn't it October ninth, eight to night? Well, you know what,
there aren't there lists? Don't they have lists of people
you can help out on Amazon things?
Speaker 1 (46:34):
That's good.
Speaker 6 (46:34):
There's a wish They're called wish lists, right.
Speaker 3 (46:36):
I don't know how to find them, but maybe there's
a way you can go on and take advantage of
some Prime Day stuff on Amazon and roll over to
those wish lists. Maybe that is another way to help out,
or just.
Speaker 7 (46:46):
Figure out how you can send some stuff to wherever
they need it. Just Amazon it over there.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
Froggy. I know you, Uh, you've got a lot going on,
and a lot of people are texting and saying, hey,
tell Froggy, you to tell us what to do to
help out as far as what you're doing. Are are
there websites or are there places people can go to
see what you're up to or what you're planning on
doing in the next week or two?
Speaker 9 (47:06):
Well, right now, we are in storm prep mode because
it's going to be a little worse here in Jacksonville
than what we had initially thought as the conas shifted
slightly a bit to the north. So right now we
are in prep mode. However, next week we've got some
we have secured some trucks, and we've secured some drivers,
and we have a place that we're going to meet.
We have two or three different locations. We're going to
(47:29):
have people bring supplies and wherever the worst hit areas
are when this storm makes landfall on late Wednesday night
early Thursday morning, next Monday and Tuesday. But we will
be collecting goods, whether it's water, whether it's batteries, whether
it's personal hygiene products, non perishable foods, and we are
going to take them to law enforcement agencies that are
there in the areas that are hardest hit so that
(47:50):
they can distribute these items properly and make sure they
get to the people that are in the most need.
The more we know, the sooner that we get to that,
I'll let you know. But we will be doing it
next Monday and Tuesday here in Jacksonville. Try to do
the best we can to help our fellow Floridians, because
one day it will be us as it. They have
helped people many times when it was in them.
Speaker 3 (48:10):

Hello.
Speaker 3 (59:58):
Okay, good morning love.
Speaker 12 (01:00:04):
Yeah, okay, good morning.
Speaker 24 (01:00:06):
How we're doing.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
Hi?
Speaker 3 (01:00:09):
My name is Elvis Duran.
Speaker 4 (01:00:11):
Oh my gosh, every going's yelling today.
Speaker 5 (01:00:24):
Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 6 (01:00:26):
Wow, what a day?
Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
What a day? Everyone's going through something, right, everyone's.
Speaker 6 (01:00:31):
Going through somethings.
Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
Yeah, always a lot, some a lot more than others.
Let's check in with Froggy. I know we were talking
to Froggy a second ago during the song and we
heard his alarm going off on his phone. I guess
that's going on all across Florida right now. I mean
everyone's getting their their notifications right.
Speaker 9 (01:00:46):
Yeah, we just got the emergency alert from the National
Weather Service that says a storm surge warning is an
effect for your area. The danger of life threatening flooding
will occur within forty within thirty six hours. So just
telling you to be if you were in a even
if you're not in a flood zone, you are supposed
to be aware that this threat is coming. And that's
here in Jacksonville. So as you get further west towards
(01:01:09):
the west coast of Tampa, they have obviously been dealing
with this much sooner than we have these storm effects.
We'll start tomorrow night, on Wednesday night, and it's supposed
to make a landfall at one am on Thursday morning
on the west coast of Florida. The eight am advisory
that is out now. It is still to one hundred
and fifty five miles hour winds and looking at a
landfall somewhere between just south of Tampa, just north of Bradenton, Sarasota, so.
Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
Tampa right in the middle. You know, we were talking
to our friend Claudia at why one hundred in Miami
and they are hosting a lot of other iHeartRadio people
there in the building. I mean, it's a madhouse, but
that's what's great about this company. And we have the
ability to go almost anywhere to do our shows and
just push a button and we're there. And sometimes those
(01:01:54):
buttons work. It's kind of crazy every once while you'll
push that button in boom. But we've got to best
engineering and we surely appreciate them, especially during times like this. Yeh,
let's go around.
Speaker 6 (01:02:07):
Is that room.
Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
I want to see what's on your mind. Whatever it
is is, let it fall out. I'm gonna start with
you. You know, I'm gonna start with you. Danielle. What's on
your mind today?
Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
Actually, come back?
Speaker 5 (01:02:15):
I didn't know.
Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
I want to Yeah, okay, okay, all right? Uh gandhi,
what about you? What's going on?
Speaker 6 (01:02:21):
All right?
Speaker 7 (01:02:21):
We talk about this all the time. One of the
most important tools for any species to survive is flexibility, adaptability.
If you cannot do those things, you will not make it.
So I implore everybody to be flexible. Know the difference
between I can't and I won't. Those are two totally
different things. Sometimes there are situations where you can't do
something about it. Most of the time, if you look
(01:02:43):
at it. It's that you won't do something about it.
So think about the things that are important and be flexible.
Speaker 6 (01:02:49):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
Yeah, adaptable, adaptability, that's what it's all about. Versatility. Sometimes
we think, well, speaking of versatility, we think Nate is
very versatile.
Speaker 6 (01:03:00):
Nate, what's on your mind today?
Speaker 11 (01:03:03):
Well, I'm thinking about everybody in this storm's path right now,
and I'm just kind of putting into perspective my own experience, right, So, Froggy,
I know you'll be able to relate to this. Thinking
about staying and the possibility of dying, I don't know
that there's really a choice because thinking about my experience
(01:03:23):
in life, the couple of times I almost died, I
didn't care about my things. I didn't care about watches
or cars, or photo albums or anything. I didn't care
about any of my possessions. All I wanted to do
was live. So put it into the perspective of you
might die, right. You don't care about those things. Until
(01:03:44):
you put into that situation, you don't realize that material
things mean nothing.
Speaker 6 (01:03:50):
So think about that. If you're in the storm's path
and you're thinking about staying, don't.
Speaker 7 (01:03:54):
Dad, get out of there.
Speaker 11 (01:03:56):
Yeah, Dad, come on, it doesn't dan anything, houses, cars,
all of that is just crap.
Speaker 6 (01:04:02):
It's oil crap. If you had life on the line.
Speaker 3 (01:04:04):
It's so true. And you know you stop and remember
Nate and like what there is to live for? The
great things?
Speaker 6 (01:04:09):
Yeah, we still have work to do is.
Speaker 3 (01:04:12):
Another way of looking at it.
Speaker 10 (01:04:13):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
Yeah, well we're glad you're here today, Nate. Hey, producer Sam,
what's up with you today?
Speaker 14 (01:04:18):
So there's an account I really love following, and I've
been leaning on it a lot. I feel like recently
I've been super stressed in a normal way with the move,
going through some personal stuff too, all normal crap.
Speaker 13 (01:04:29):
But I love this account.
Speaker 14 (01:04:30):
It's at quotes by Christine, and she just posts very
visually pleasing quotes. Sometimes they're attributed to a person, sometimes
they're just random.
Speaker 13 (01:04:40):
So if you are in need of some kind.
Speaker 14 (01:04:41):
Of like boost or just some positive like quick reading,
check out quotes by Christine. Let's say the most recent
thing she posted was it's not your job to ignore
your own needs and boundaries in order to make others comfortable.
Speaker 3 (01:04:55):
That's very good advice.
Speaker 5 (01:04:56):
It's great.
Speaker 13 (01:04:56):
I always get like little tidbits of good advice from here.
Speaker 3 (01:04:59):
So Chris, he's basically telling us to tell everyone to
screw off.
Speaker 13 (01:05:02):
That was the working title for her Instagram handle.
Speaker 1 (01:05:04):
Yes, thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
Christine dearly noted, Hey, scary, what's up with you?
Speaker 19 (01:05:08):
I don't care when anybody says superstitions are a real
thing and they sometimes work. Remember the time that I
spilled coffee on my Met shirt and I just wouldn't
stop wearing it with the coffee stained shirt over and
over again. Okay, So this superstition, this time with the
Mets and the Phillies as they play again this afternoon
at City Field, as they are tied up one to
one in the National League Divisional Series, is that every
(01:05:32):
time I turn the TV off, the Mets do great
things and have these awesome rallies, and then I watched
the recap later. Every time I'm watching the game, pitch
by pitch, bad things happen to the Mets. So I
am going to for all Met fans' sake, I don't
do not watch the game.
Speaker 6 (01:05:50):
There you go, it could it could be a connect.
Speaker 1 (01:05:52):
We don't know, all right, So our Phillies fans would
like you to turn the TV on.
Speaker 19 (01:05:57):
Yes, I will be occasionally checking in to see what's
going on, and then I will get all the recaps later.
Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
Well, okay, do do this mean no more stayed shirts
because you're wearing one now look at that, Danielle. You
ready to go?
Speaker 9 (01:06:11):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (01:06:11):
Sorry, okay, So I too am about an account that
I follow that I love. It's at Dove Club d
O v C l U B. It's actually two people,
Rob and Ari, who are married. They are the cutest
couple ever. They played jokes on each other that are
I can't stop laughing that. My kids will go, mom,
what the hell is so funny? These two have the
(01:06:32):
best relationship and so much fun together. Like the other day,
he put a pizza in the oven to like have
it for lunch, and she went in and she took
the big pizza out of the oven and she put
a little personal one in. He opens the oven, thinking,
what the hell happened to my pizza?
Speaker 6 (01:06:46):
She goes, don't you know.
Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
It shrinks when you cook it in the oven. He's like, no,
it doesn't, and she's like, yeah, totally does. He couldn't
believe it. It was so funny and so cute. But
they just love each other and they play these tricks
on each other. So it's at Club DV Club. If
you get a chance to check them out, they'll make
you chuckle, oh.
Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
I would kick his ass. Yes, Or someone's asking, yeah, hey, Froggy,
I save you for last. What is on your mind today?
What's going on?
Speaker 9 (01:07:15):
It's just a lie, you know. And a lot of
people are trying to do the same thing right now,
and that is they're trying to prepare to save their life,
and they're trying to prepare to save what belongings that
they can and in this time, whether it's getting groceries,
whether it's getting gasoline, whether it is getting on the
road and trying to evacuate. Please, by all means, realize
we're all trying to do the same thing, and just
(01:07:37):
be patient. Every single person is dealing with the same
problem right now. If you're here in these areas of Florida,
be patient, try and help people if you can help others,
and we'll get through this together and we'll come out
the other side. But you can't come out the other
side if you stay in a dangerous place and put
your life in jeopardy and then make other people who
are first responders put their life in jeopardy to come
(01:08:00):
get you because you made a bad decision. Today is
the day to make the right decision. Take care of yourself,
take care of your neighbors, and let's get through this
together and being man.
Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
And you know, you go into this weird, hard to
describe survival mode. And when you're in survival mode, it's
about getting things done and getting out of the harm's
way and making sure people around you that you lover safe, right,
But you sometimes forget, Okay, you forget other things that
you need to be paying attention to, like breathing, I mean,
(01:08:29):
I know, and making sure you're keeping in touch with
your feelings and how you're doing, and that will help
you get along through this a lot better, I believe.
And can I go back to nature around the room.
Can I just say you were just right spot on
and I totally support what you said.
Speaker 6 (01:08:43):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:08:44):
I love what you said. And you know what, especially
from you because you and Froggy you've both been in
life life well life ending situations with your your health
and so you know, it made you see a perspective
and learned something that maybe we need to be learning
more about as well. Hearing that from you was very,
very very on point. And you are much loved and
much appreciated for that.
Speaker 6 (01:09:04):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:09:05):
Thank you doesn't mean I like you anymore than.
Speaker 6 (01:09:08):
I We know that, we know that's a fact.
Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
But I do love you. I tell you what. Let's
let's take a break, Danielle. Let's do your report coming
up just a few seconds, if you don't mind. Let's
get into the three things we need to know from Gandhi.
And here we gonna We're gonna beat this Tuesday. We're
going to own this Tuesday. I think we already do.
All right, what's going on? Gandhi?
Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
All right?
Speaker 7 (01:09:30):
On this topic. Tampa Mayor Jane Caster is making it
very clear that when it comes to Hurricane Milton, you
need to get out. Mayor Jane cast she said on
CNN last night that it's now a Category four storm
and if anybody decides to stay in the evacuation zone,
they are quote going to die. Castor also calls the
storm literally catastrophic. The police chief in Tampa is calling
(01:09:52):
for Milton, which is the storm of the is calling
Milton to storm in the century. Milton continues to head
toward Florida's Gulf coast, with landfall expectedly tomorrow early Thursday.
It is looking pretty bad down there, Froggy. Do you
want to add anything to that?
Speaker 9 (01:10:06):
No, I mean the greatest loss of life is generally
usually from water. It's not from the wind. And so
if you are in an evacuation zone, now is the
time to get out and cannot stop the water from
coming in once it starts.
Speaker 6 (01:10:19):
Save your life.
Speaker 3 (01:10:21):
Oh and take your pets.
Speaker 6 (01:10:23):
Oh yeah, out of course.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
I know it's going to be another thing to be
worried about, but you know what, I'd be more worried
not taking them. Take your pets, do not leave them there.
Speaker 7 (01:10:32):
Yes, all right. There's about a month left before election day.
Early voting is kicking off today in four states. Voters
can make their choices known in Ohio, New Mexico, Indiana,
and Wyoming. For this year's election, forty six states, along
with the District of Columbia, are offering early voting options.
And finally, Lebron James and his son Brownni have made
(01:10:52):
history as the first father son duo to take the
court together in an NBA game. That's got to be amazing.
It happens say night at the start of the second
quarter of the Laker Sun's preseason game in Palm Springs.
Speaker 13 (01:11:04):
It was the first.
Speaker 7 (01:11:04):
Time the older and younger James, who are now teammates,
played together in an NBA game. Lebron is about to
start his twenty second NBA season. Brownie, a Laker's second
round draft pick this year, is entering his rookie season
after one season at USC The Sun's won one eighteen
to one fourteen. And those are your three things.
Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
I want to hear all about the weird, wild stories
you didn't learn in school.
Speaker 6 (01:11:28):
Let my best friend.
Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Patty Steele and her podcast, The Backstory with Patty Steel
be your guide. What are you working on, Patty?
Speaker 26 (01:11:34):
We know all about Paul Revere and his midnight ride,
but a sixteen year old girl also made a forty
mile ride to rally the Colonial troops. Of course, the
guy gets all the credit. Listen and subscribe to the
Backstory with Patty Steele.
Speaker 3 (01:11:47):
Please The Backstory with Patty Steele new episodes every Tuesday
and Friday. Listen on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you
get your podcasts. With Wendy's Breakfast Burrito is everything you
want for breakfast, Fresh cracked eggs, seasoned potatoes, American cheese, cheese, sauce, bacon,
or sausage all rolled up into one warm tortilla. Want
(01:12:08):
the boss of breakfast Burritos gotta be Wendy's a participate
in the US.
Speaker 5 (01:12:11):
Wendy's West ran in the Morning show.
Speaker 6 (01:12:15):
Wow, what a day.
Speaker 3 (01:12:17):
It's so weird to you know, help in here in
the New York and Philly area. It's gorgeous sunny Well
they're turning that music down, scary, thank you, thank you,
thank you. It's gorgeous sunny weather. And you think about
what's going on in Florida, And as Milton gets ready
to hit it tomorrow night, late tomorrow night, evacuation going on.
I know we've been talking a lot about it today,
but it is weighing so heavily on so many people's
minds and in their hearts, not only people who are there,
(01:12:38):
but us who know people who are there. And now
Gandhi's dad is there, and Froggy's there, and so that's
that's what's going on. Those are the headlines anyway, Danielle, Yes,
let's go to the entertainment report, because we know that
the people you're about to talk about are so much
more important than in the silly hurricane.
Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
Oh my gosh, I mean really.
Speaker 6 (01:12:58):
Now, what's going on? What do you have? All right?
Speaker 1 (01:13:00):
Tamanfocus dot com says that Lany Wilson is the most
in demand artist in all of country music right now.
Not only is she the reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer
of the Year, but since twenty twenty, she has done
fifteen collaborations with other artists. So people are loving her.
So we didn't talk about this earlier today. Sissy Houston,
(01:13:20):
gospel icon and mother of Whitney Houston, passed away yesterday,
ninety one years old after battling Alzheimer's disease in hospice care.
Her career spanned seven decades, earning her two Grammys for
Gospel albums and leaving, of course, a crazy impact on
popular music and culture. So our best goes out to
her family today. And all I kept thinking was, now
she's back with her daughter again. You know, her and
(01:13:42):
Whitney are back together, your granddaughter. Yeah, that's right, that's right.
Whitney's daughter past too.
Speaker 5 (01:13:48):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:13:49):
So is there a right age to show your kids
a scary movie?
Speaker 6 (01:13:54):
What do you think me? Your age?
Speaker 5 (01:13:55):
Are there?
Speaker 1 (01:13:56):
Age like mar age like.
Speaker 7 (01:13:58):
A little kid?
Speaker 18 (01:13:58):
Like?
Speaker 1 (01:13:58):
What age do you think it's okay?
Speaker 6 (01:14:00):
Start them in the womb man, get them going.
Speaker 1 (01:14:03):
Well anyway, two thousand Americans were surveyed. Sixty five percent
said they saw their first one and they were eleven years old.
Speaker 7 (01:14:10):
Eleven.
Speaker 5 (01:14:11):
I know that's kind of early.
Speaker 7 (01:14:12):
That's odd that though was old. I was trying fun really.
Speaker 3 (01:14:15):
Okay, I remember, yeah, when I was very very young,
we were watching fighting.
Speaker 1 (01:14:19):
Well, they say slumber parties are usually where it starts like,
you know, you have a sleepover and then the scale
movie comes on, stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
Like Daniel, My mom took me to see The Exorcist.
Speaker 1 (01:14:28):
Shut up, what age?
Speaker 6 (01:14:31):
I'm kidding?
Speaker 3 (01:14:31):
She did not.
Speaker 1 (01:14:32):
What is your favorite snack to eat during a spooky
movie night? Well, popcorn was number one on the surveys,
followed by chips and pizza, and seven out of ten
people said they also like to have a little bowl
of candy near the band.
Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
You don't have milk duds, man, That's the only time
I ever will put a milkdut in my mouth because
it looks like you're eating like a little turd.
Speaker 1 (01:14:51):
Yeah, begin with. You know what I like at the
movies one of those little they have like little white
dots on top of the snow cap. Yeah, I love snowcaps.
Speaker 3 (01:14:59):
Yeah, it's only allowed in a movie theater.
Speaker 1 (01:15:02):
Yeah, per coach Ella is not until twenty twenty five.
But we know two people who will not be headlining it,
Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna. Apparently they were asked and they
were said, no, that's not happening. So offset we know
that he accused Cardi B of cheating while she was pregnant. Well,
there's some names being thrown around. One of them is
(01:15:24):
Houston Texan's receiver Stefan Diggs and the other one is
Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, and they're wondering if
those either of those were the ones that cheated with
Cardi B. So I hope it was both of them
at the same time. I hope she got hers. Yeah, yeah,
because he's known to uh do some dabbling. It was
the worse exactly, So come on. Sabrina Carpenter's album Short
(01:15:46):
and Sweet hit number one on the Billboard two hundred
once again, so congratulations. Last time it hit number one
was back in September, so she's really excited. Chavl Erone
dedicated her song Mike Kink is Karma to her bleep
in theater teacher who kicked me out, and then she
said some not so nice things and she said, I'm here. So,
like we were saying, a lot of people that don't
(01:16:06):
support you, don't think you're going to go places in
life later on in life, when you're like her on
the stage, you can give it to them. So that's
exactly what she did. And what are we watching. You've
got Dancing with the Stars. It is hair Metal Night
on Dancing with the Stars. Also, there's a one hour
OPRAH special, The Presley's Elvis, Lisa, Marie and Riley. You've
Got the Voice Ali Wong Single Lady her stand up
(01:16:29):
special on Netflix. Of course, you can always watch The
Phillies Met to the Dodgers, Padres and Undercover on Prime.
Looks like it's actually really good. Garrett was telling me
about it. The first episode is about Tampa Bay Buccaneers
quarterback Baker Mayfield. How he goes undercover and he hangs
out with fans and he like chats with them and
stuff like that. So that's pretty cool. And Elvis was
(01:16:50):
watching mister McMahon, the Vince McMahon story over on Netflix,
and you said that you were enjoying that as well.
Speaker 6 (01:16:56):
Yeah, but I know what's coming up.
Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
I know that it's gonna get really really dark and
a lot of heavy, heavy, awful accusations about Vince McMahon
are on the way in this thing. But leading up
to that, the history behind WWE WWF, all of them
I find fascinating. It's such a really well written story.
You watched it too, Gandhi, and you're not even a
(01:17:19):
wrestling fan, But what do you think about it?
Speaker 7 (01:17:20):
I thought it was fascinating. I don't think you even
have to be a fan of wrestling to be really
interested in what's going on and his demeanor throughout the
whole thing, and just you know, the dark side of
wrestling that I never thought about because I wasn't even
a fan.
Speaker 3 (01:17:33):
But woo yeah, well there you go. Brilliant job as always, Danielle.
Speaker 6 (01:17:38):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
Hey, so let's talk about baseball. You're saying, I think
what the Phillies are coming to the Mets today? Right,
it's a beautiful day foot ball game here, Oh yeah,
gorgeous and the Yankees. Look at that your Yankees, Danielle.
Speaker 6 (01:17:51):
Ye, he does well tonight, I know.
Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
But we're talking about the divisional series tied one one.
Both New York teams and Philly. Philly's doing well.
Speaker 6 (01:18:00):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (01:18:01):
Some things to celebrate Yankees playing tomorrow. Ye uh, you
know what. Looking at our jingle Ball concerts, the three
that we care about Z one hundred New York, Q
one O two Philadelphia, Why one hundred Miami. A lot
of these are selling out the tickets. Let me tell
you the one you want to go see now that
there's great seats available is Why one hundred Miami. You
need to be there because it's the last on the
(01:18:22):
iHeart Tour. It's a different vibe, it's a different energy
than all the other ones. Philly and New York were
sold out already, right yep, So just keep listening to
win those tickets. Okay, let's talk about one of our
artists at Why one hundreds jingle Ball. We'll all be
there for that, right, We're all going down one of
our incredible stars of Why one hundreds jingle Ball presented
by Capitol one T Paine, along with the Little Wayne.
(01:18:43):
Oh there, Little Wayne. There is a little extra, A
little extra from Little Wayne. Is that the new guy?
A little extra?
Speaker 24 (01:18:49):
Is it his name?
Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
Anyway? Why are you playing this music?
Speaker 1 (01:18:53):
I know he just did that.
Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
No, you know he's still upset because of all the
people that yelled at him. Yesterday, he came on the
air and said, I don't understand when I want to
invite my friends out to dinner, they can't come out
because they have kids. I can't understand when we go
out to dinner and they get a call from the
babysit or the kids are dying.
Speaker 1 (01:19:11):
Yeah, and there, you can't have the one hundred and
three favor. But why you gotta go home?
Speaker 6 (01:19:15):
We planned that night out three weeks in a time,
but they had to go home. They have kids. Well
that's the whole point.
Speaker 19 (01:19:21):
It was like the grandparents were watching the kids and
short of being sick, I get you shouldn't have to
have interruptions from the kids. The kid couldn't sleep. I'm mommy,
I couldn't sleep. So the kids starts blowing up the
mom's phone, blowing up the dad's phone. Listen, Grandma and
grandpa are in the next room, and we literally had
we planned this out and advance for this reason, and
(01:19:44):
they couldn't hear.
Speaker 3 (01:19:45):
They couldn't I hear you, But you know you're not
a parent. You don't understand when it comes to things
like that. It's more than it just a kid who
can't sleep. Deeper than that, you.
Speaker 1 (01:19:52):
Never know it could be scared, could have the separation anxiety.
Don't give me that face. I'm gonna come over there
and kick you so far up your I want you to.
Speaker 3 (01:20:01):
I want you to kick it, but you can't kick
me up as ass, because his head's already up there.
Speaker 1 (01:20:05):
Honestly, thank gosh you're not a parent, because I could
imagine you leaving your kid on the side of the road.
I gots I gotta go.
Speaker 23 (01:20:11):
I don't want to sound like a douche, but what
your kid control your entire life?
Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
Well, look, I know, okay, okay, I do understand. I
understand where you think you're coming from. Thank you, where
you need to You need to continue to have a life,
and there need to be boundaries. I totally understand that.
Danielle understands that. But this kid is the love of
your life. It's your life, your world.
Speaker 1 (01:20:34):
When that child comes along and you don't you don't
know what the surrounding you know factors are, You're just
going by, but they can't stay for dinner. They gotta leave.
You don't know everything else involved. It might not be
as simple as the kid being and.
Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
You get into a panic. The grandparents are there. Maybe
there's an interesting dynamic between the grandparents and the grandkids.
You don't Also, you don't look life if you will.
If someone calls me and said, hey, your dog Max,
he just jumped off the couch, he's lean, he's limping
a little bit. His pause, I would leave that dinner.
Speaker 6 (01:21:04):
Yeah he's hurt.
Speaker 1 (01:21:06):
But this kid just put in sleep.
Speaker 3 (01:21:07):
We know, we don't know if he's hurt. No, no, no,
hold on in Gandhi. Yes, if a friend of her
calls and says, one of the leaves on your ivy
is brown, she will leave that dinner.
Speaker 7 (01:21:17):
And go immediately go home. Put some water in that plant,
fix it.
Speaker 6 (01:21:21):
She'll get home and talk to it.
Speaker 7 (01:21:23):
I mean, I get like scary if it was just okay,
the kid scared and you know that that's it. I
understand where you're coming from, but you don't know that
that's it. Like what if this kid has a lot
of anxiety and the parents leaving really causes this child
to go into a dark place. Who knows? Like, if
you don't know, you gotta kind of just let them live.
Speaker 19 (01:21:40):
I suppose you can still just say, don't worry, we
missed out on a whole night of drinks.
Speaker 3 (01:21:45):
After that we were we want to have a good time.
Guess what if that was the last night you're going
to spend to get together because last not Earth exists.
Speaker 6 (01:21:52):
I get it, but it's not it's not Are they
listening to this?
Speaker 7 (01:21:55):
Are they hearing you?
Speaker 6 (01:21:56):
Do they know that you're saying no?
Speaker 3 (01:21:57):
Because I didn't give their names out.
Speaker 16 (01:21:59):
They love it.
Speaker 7 (01:22:00):
No, Scary, that kid's scared.
Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
That kid is scared, and here you are on the
show throwing at your own tantrum a little bit.
Speaker 19 (01:22:06):
I just it just sucks to me when when the
child gets to control the entire it is you don't
know that you know situation.
Speaker 3 (01:22:16):
Yes, he don't. You don't because Scary Scary lives in
his little bubble and that's where he lives. And that's okay,
that's why we love him. He lives in this very
delicate world. Now we have a lot of people texting
who are agreeing with Scary obviously, you know, but you know,
I don't know. I'm not a parent.
Speaker 6 (01:22:32):
I'm not even going.
Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
To pretend to know what Danielle knows about about this.
Speaker 1 (01:22:36):
Even my kids at the age that they're at now,
most of the time, I can, like, you know, say hey,
Mommy will be home later or whatever. But if they
have an emergency or if there's something going on that
they need me for, I'm going to tell you, I'm
so sorry, I have to cancel our dinner plan.
Speaker 3 (01:22:50):
I agree with the emergency. If it's an emergency, I agree,
well to them, it could be an emergency. You have
no right to tell them what the emergency is.
Speaker 6 (01:22:58):
I'll have this text.
Speaker 3 (01:23:02):
This text here kick his as. Being a parent is
a whole different ballgame from not having a kid. The
kids become your world, and that kid looks at you
for protection and care.
Speaker 6 (01:23:12):
And you know what, all right, mommynsations having.
Speaker 1 (01:23:15):
Spare ribs at the restaurant with Scary.
Speaker 9 (01:23:18):
I could hear the conversation now, Scary. Listen, my child's
in great danger. Do you believe that this is an emergency?
Or do you think I should stay at this dinner
with you?
Speaker 6 (01:23:27):
I need you to make that all right. You're right,
I should probably look at.
Speaker 3 (01:23:32):
This a different way.
Speaker 1 (01:23:33):
You probably should.
Speaker 3 (01:23:35):
No, there's nothing wrong with looking at it from your
point of view, but understanding there's another point of view.
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (01:23:40):
Yeah, I know, I know.
Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
It's okay. Let mom and dad stay at the restaurant
and drink too much to drive and then can't get
home to the kid who's wailing. Let's get into sound
with Garrett. Garrett, let's go you a lot of stuff,
all right.
Speaker 6 (01:23:53):
Let's start with this.
Speaker 23 (01:23:54):
This is going viral yesterday, so meteorologist John Morales from
NBC and Miami broke down while the weather report yesterday.
Speaker 6 (01:24:02):
He has dropped fifteen millibars in ten hours.
Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
I apologize.
Speaker 6 (01:24:10):
This is just.
Speaker 3 (01:24:12):
Horrific.
Speaker 6 (01:24:14):
Yeah, and he was doing the report from home too.
You know this guy's been doing weather there for a
million years. Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:24:20):
Yeah, he's a trusted voice in weather and he's seen everything,
especially being there. When he has that emotion showing for you,
it really is somewhat telling.
Speaker 6 (01:24:30):
Do you not agree?
Speaker 14 (01:24:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 23 (01:24:33):
One hundred percent. Let's move on to last night. On
the Tonight Show, Hodo is on talking about making her
announcement of leaving the Today Show and talking about her
wake up routine.
Speaker 5 (01:24:44):
Three forty four, Well, three fifteen is my usual wake
up three fifteen.
Speaker 6 (01:24:48):
I know, right, no, no, no one.
Speaker 3 (01:24:50):
Knows this, and then you do Today's show from seven
o'clock all the way through eleven eleven.
Speaker 6 (01:24:54):
Yeah, with a break in there. Yeah, that's all your time.
Your life is going to completely change.
Speaker 5 (01:25:01):
You're gonna this is a fantastic What am I gonna
do it?
Speaker 27 (01:25:03):
You're gonna go to concerts, You're gonna go out on dates,
You're gonna go over to restaurants.
Speaker 6 (01:25:08):
You're gonna You're gonna, Wow, You're gonna do whatever the
heck you want. Oh my god, it's like she's not
a parrot anymore, and she has into restaurants.
Speaker 3 (01:25:19):
All right.
Speaker 23 (01:25:19):
I don't know if you saw this clip, but a
guy went camping in the Amazon and he got woken
up in the middle of the night in his tent
because ants were eating through his tent.
Speaker 27 (01:25:29):
Right now, my tent is being dismantled by leaf cutter ants.
It's about two am, and I've been trying to sleep
and there's about ten million leaf cutter ants outside of
this tent, cutting leaf size holes out of my tent.
They're opening up holes big enough for me to put
my fist through, which means everything else in the Amazon
is coming into my tent.
Speaker 28 (01:25:48):
I just woke up because there's a leaf cutter at
using its pincer jaws to bite my ear to try
and carry off a piece. And inside this tent right
now are ants and termites and mosquitos, some sort of
centipede hoppers moves, and some insects that I can't even identify.
Speaker 3 (01:26:03):
I don't. I think maybe next time you go to
the Bahamas, the Bahamas, I'm that though, you can watch
them eating the fibers of this tent.
Speaker 7 (01:26:14):
That's crazy, all right.
Speaker 3 (01:26:15):
And then finally the tent, the tent must be made
out of pizza or something the tent made of all right.
Speaker 23 (01:26:21):
And then finally, I don't know if anyone watched Monday
Night Football last night, So the Chiefs were playing the Saints,
and Troy Aikman uh mistakenly said missus when referring to
Taylor Swift.
Speaker 9 (01:26:33):
There's Colsie makes some move and he's out of bounce.
Speaker 25 (01:26:37):
The missus likes it, and you know they're not there.
I'm I know yeah, because you're I'm I'm sure the
little lady at.
Speaker 11 (01:26:50):
Home and there you have it, all right, thank you,
thank you, you go back. Thank you, I gotta go
watch my kids scary, go watch it.
Speaker 3 (01:27:02):
Can't have a life. Let's go to Froggy Froggy. A
lot going on, and it's it's weighing heavy on so
many people's minds. And even though we're sitting there cracking
up and making fun of scary, you know, it's not
far from our arts and minds. What's going on and
what's about to really, really truly go down in Florida.
What is the latest from your point.
Speaker 9 (01:27:18):
Of view as of the eight o'clock advisory. It is
weakened a little bit more, but do not let that
weakening make you think that this is not that this
is going to be any less of an event. As
the storm was explained to me this morning by a
meteorologists here Lewis Turner at First Coast News here in Jacksonville,
when the storm is a Cat five and it's spinning
very very fast, and it's that the reason that that
(01:27:40):
guy on NBC six in Miami had gotten so upset.
The mill of bar is the pressure in the center
of the storm as it drops. That shows a very
powerful storm. It was in the eight hundreds last night.
That's unprecedented. This morning, the storm is widened some. It's
a larger storm now pushing a bigger wall of water,
and so that is more of a concern. Cast shifted
(01:28:00):
slightly south this morning to Bradenton, Sarasota area. But everybody
on the west coast of Florida needs to prepare today.
Today is your day to prepare. It's our last day
to either get where you're going, secure things in your
yard because once again, this area twelve days ago had
a hurricane and there's a lot of things sitting around
that are projectiles. And so today is your day to
(01:28:22):
prepare and get ready. Go to the grocery store, get gas.
A lot of gas stations in Florida are out of gas,
I use patients. Tomorrow will be our day where we'll
start seeing the weather deteriorate, probably tomorrow around two or
three o'clock in the afternoon and throughout the day and
end of the night.
Speaker 3 (01:28:37):
Thank you, Froggy, just keep us up today. Yeah, the
projectile thing is very interesting. I know that the Governor
of Florida requested that all landfills remain open twenty four
hours a day because people are cleaning out their yards
and their neighborhoods. Because everything that's all piled up from
the first storm. That stuff's going to turn into moving
targ moving out of bullets basically. I mean, it's going
(01:28:59):
to be really frightened. It's the good news in something
so awful like this is Florida has been through this
so many times. They see, they see the things they
need to do to get into action and take care
of business, and that's what they're doing. So I was
just watching also the news. You know, those those traffic
lines getting out of that area are just immense, but
(01:29:19):
you know.
Speaker 6 (01:29:20):
And they open up.
Speaker 9 (01:29:20):
The shoulders of the shoulders of the road are now lanes.
So if you a three lane highway with two shoulders
and a shoulder on each side is now a five
lane highway. They're trying to get as many people as
we can out of the state to safety, to evacuate,
and then when it comes time to come back in,
they'll do the same thing as we come back to Florida.
All right, let's keep you informed. Froggy is there, and uh,
(01:29:43):
we appreciate everything you're doing. Froggy, I know you're gonna
be up for a couple of days here.
Speaker 6 (01:29:46):
Yep, it'll be good, all right, Thank you, Hey, I'm
at Sharon, Hey, what's up with Swenia?
Speaker 3 (01:29:51):
Was good as metro boom?
Speaker 6 (01:29:54):
That was right in the morning shot.
Speaker 5 (01:30:03):
I love it, love it, love it, love it, Elvis
Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (01:30:07):
I have a little challenge for you today, something to do.
What's that When you're walking through a room or on
the sidewalk with a lot of strangers, go up to
one of them and say, hey stranger.
Speaker 6 (01:30:21):
That's it. That's it.
Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
Because we only say hey stranger to people we know, like,
oh hey, stranger, how you doing.
Speaker 6 (01:30:29):
Go up to an actual stranger and do it. See
how that works for you, How.
Speaker 1 (01:30:32):
That works for you the streets of New York City.
Speaker 6 (01:30:34):
Yeah, okay, yeah, frog, you do it. Do it today.
Speaker 9 (01:30:37):
I've always said this is scary. If you notice, if
you see somebody that you know and you don't speak
to them, you just see somebody that you know, you
take your head and you nod it backwards.
Speaker 6 (01:30:46):
When you know somebody like hey, what's up.
Speaker 9 (01:30:50):
If you see somebody you don't know and you just
want to acknowledge them, you're always chinned down.
Speaker 6 (01:30:54):
You're like, I don't know why, but that's what we do.
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:30:59):
Then then do a heads up greeting with someone you
don't know and see how that works out for you.
Speaker 1 (01:31:04):
Go up to someone today like you know and say
what's up?
Speaker 6 (01:31:10):
Please, don't do that.
Speaker 7 (01:31:11):
I can't imagine in the street and saying hey stranger, stranger.
Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
I'm gonna go up to a stranger and say, hey, stranger,
how are you? Why not if someone did it to me,
I would I would investigate and go Okay, where are
we going with this? As long as we're not in
like in a dark alley somewhere.
Speaker 6 (01:31:29):
Yeah, what Nate? Taking it a step further? Did you
know that in Bulgaria, when you nod your head that
means no, but when you shake your head that means yes.
Speaker 18 (01:31:38):
Yes.
Speaker 3 (01:31:39):
Confused You told us that one day.
Speaker 6 (01:31:41):
How crazy is that?
Speaker 3 (01:31:44):
Then use you know, use language, don't don't.
Speaker 7 (01:31:45):
Use your head and Indian people confuse everybody because we
go side to side.
Speaker 5 (01:31:50):
Yes like this?
Speaker 3 (01:31:51):
No, really like like a like a bubble like a bubble.
Speaker 5 (01:31:54):
Head Like I didn't know that.
Speaker 7 (01:31:57):
Yeah, you have to listen to the Worst Show.
Speaker 3 (01:31:58):
Okay, let me ask you this. Why we're on this topic.
What do you do when you see someone you know
and you can't remember their name.
Speaker 6 (01:32:05):
Oh God, which happens to us all the time. I'm
sure that was to everyone.
Speaker 1 (01:32:09):
I don't say anything unless I have to introduce them
to somebody else.
Speaker 3 (01:32:12):
Right, exactly, well, and I and I I tried to
work this out with Alex. Alex. If you and I
were at a party and we go up to someone
and I introduce you first and say, hey, this is
my husband Alex, that means you need to introduce yourself
to them and ask them what their name is immediately.
Don't don't, don't, don't pause. But if I say their
(01:32:33):
name first, that means we're in the club. It never
works out that way, though, he never remembers that never does.
Speaker 1 (01:32:38):
Sometimes I'll do this like I'll say, oh, this is
my husband Sheldon, and then they'll introduce themselves and I'll go, oh,
you guys never met. I thought you knew each other.
Speaker 6 (01:32:46):
Walk away.
Speaker 7 (01:32:46):
When my app was developed, Shazam for faces, we're going
to have the easiest time ever.
Speaker 1 (01:32:51):
Got well, and now someone just stole that.
Speaker 7 (01:32:54):
So many times it's probably stole.
Speaker 3 (01:32:55):
So you walk up to someone and just put to
camry their face proof. Well, hopefully I'm Martha.
Speaker 7 (01:33:01):
Farther away, farther.
Speaker 3 (01:33:02):
Away, or from your Google your Google glass. Yes, you
have those on? Do people still buy those?
Speaker 8 (01:33:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 16 (01:33:08):
Is that do?
Speaker 6 (01:33:09):
Now?
Speaker 18 (01:33:10):
What?
Speaker 6 (01:33:10):
The other day I was just was Lisa was somewhere
and I was trying to kill time.
Speaker 9 (01:33:14):
We were walking through a sunglass hut and they had
a pair of the ray Band Google glasses that have
the speakers and everything in them, and I thought these
things they're stupid, So I just tried them on. I
was blown away. When I was done, I'm like, dude,
I wasays I could buy these things. They are amazing.
You don't see the little lenses barely at all in
the ray Ban wayfarers. They look like regular sunglasses, and
it's incredible what they do. Whatever you're looking at, it
(01:33:36):
will identify on your phone. If you just want to
know what something is, you just look at it, it
identifies it. If you're looking at a product, like you're
going to buy something, if you look at it, you
Google it. It tells you you can find the cheapest
price right on your phone. This is through the glasses though.
Through the glasses, yeah, through the sunglasses. They're like regular
ray band sunglasses, but it.
Speaker 3 (01:33:52):
Transmits to your phone, isn't it Google Glass? You don't
even look at your phone. You watch all the information
on the Google glass, do you not?
Speaker 6 (01:33:58):
I don't know. I haven't seen those. I don't know
why I was hoping someone here would know that.
Speaker 7 (01:34:02):
Well, our buddy, our buddy Patty or Ascona, he has
these glasses, and I know that he takes pictures with them,
but I don't know how the rest of it works.
I'm sure we could call him and he'll tell us, well,
those are the ray.
Speaker 3 (01:34:14):
Bands he has. But I think, look, you see all
these futuristic movies where they just look through these headsets,
and I mean they don't, they don't look at their phone.
It's all right there. That wouldn't That's way too much
information for my little pee brain to take.
Speaker 1 (01:34:28):
It's very iron man, Yeah, it is very iron man.
Speaker 3 (01:34:31):
Very much so. So again, what's the what's the assignment today?
You walk up to a stranger and do what?
Speaker 7 (01:34:35):
Get assaulted apparently.
Speaker 1 (01:34:39):
And say, hey, was that Mercedes?
Speaker 3 (01:34:44):
Coolja a bunch of walk through the door?
Speaker 1 (01:34:45):
Boy smells good too, said he's been up all night,
That's why he smells good.
Speaker 6 (01:34:53):
Smell like last night.
Speaker 3 (01:34:54):
Yeah, Mercedes Benz s u V stylish, powerful and sophisticated.

The Car Network, Elvis Duran in the Morning Show.
Speaker 3 (01:35:30):
So, I guess if you live in Florida and you
already had a vacation planned on a cruise to leave
yesterday or today, timing was everything for you. Can you
imagine just floating out to see the parts of the
Caribbean have beautiful weather right now, And the thing is
that you're still close. You know you're gonna go home
and you're gonna have to deal with reality. And I
(01:35:53):
think we should all get onto an NCL dot com
and book some cruises right now. Yes, we should.
Speaker 6 (01:36:00):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (01:36:01):
Let's get it done.
Speaker 7 (01:36:02):
I'll be back later. I'm going now.
Speaker 3 (01:36:03):
And I tell you if you have some friends or
family who are going through a lot with well Virginally
Helene last week or two weeks ago, and now Milton.
You know they're going to want to come home and
they're going to want to get their lives together. They've
got a lot of work to do. But if they
knew a cruise was on the other line waiting for them,
like down the road, maybe be a nice little gift,
(01:36:25):
a little floating gift or Norwegian. It's all about more,
more things to eat, more things to do, and now
more bad weather to get away from. Thank you NCL
dot com. Go check it out. They are partners of ours.
As you know, as we roll into the weekend, it's
only Tuesday. This week is taking its time, is it not.
(01:36:48):
I want to thank all of you guys for coming
out to our Chefs for Kids Cancer Dinner tonight.
Speaker 7 (01:36:54):
I'm so excited. I love this event.
Speaker 3 (01:36:57):
Look, Scary's jumping up and down because he knows there
lots of courses of food.
Speaker 1 (01:37:00):
The appetizers are his favorite. He was telling us before,
you can't.
Speaker 3 (01:37:05):
Miss cocktail Hour, but I gotta stay.
Speaker 6 (01:37:07):
I was reading down the list of chefs and I'm like, why.
Speaker 14 (01:37:10):
Do we.
Speaker 3 (01:37:12):
Yeah, we have Peter Botros he's our chef again.
Speaker 18 (01:37:15):
I know, I know.
Speaker 3 (01:37:17):
We have a table of twenty. We're all gathering, of course,
you know, Chefs for Kids Cancer. Of course, uh came
to be after the original Cookies for Kids Cancer. And
we're all going to gather with them tonight, the chefs
and of course Christina Tosi is going to have these
cookie jars that we all take home at the end
of the night. They need, they need bigger jars this year.
(01:37:38):
Because we have all these cookies, I do believe we're
going to auction went off or give one away, just
give one away tomorrow morning, after a after the night tonight,
I'm going to bring you a cookie jar home and give.
Speaker 10 (01:37:47):
It to his own.
Speaker 7 (01:37:48):
That's nice. Oh oh you know in the auction, I
have some art in there.
Speaker 5 (01:37:52):
Oh you do nice?
Speaker 3 (01:37:54):
Is this your second year to have art in the auction?
Speaker 7 (01:37:57):
This is actually the third year?
Speaker 6 (01:37:59):
Whoa, they've done it.
Speaker 7 (01:38:00):
Yeah, And I'm so flattered that they invite me to
be part of it. And this year we gave them
a much larger piece than last year because last year
when I saw our little tiny one on the wall,
I was like, oh no better, So it's there, and
the online auction is is ready to go if people
want to go look at things.
Speaker 3 (01:38:15):
Yeah, it is alive there. It's called a live auction.
How do you do a search for chefs for kids
cancer or I'll final.
Speaker 7 (01:38:23):
The link right now because they did send it to
me and I'm sure we can post them on our pages.
Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
Yeah, to go ahead and buy her artwork? Now, what's wrong?
What are you talking about in there? What's going on?
Speaker 6 (01:38:32):
We're just we're doing something behind the scenes. Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:38:34):
Yeah, we're trying to plan a step ahead. I love that,
Like in life itself, I love that. Yeah, yes, are
you buying all my Christmas gift for me and everything?
Speaker 6 (01:38:42):
This is nice.
Speaker 3 (01:38:46):
I love it when you guys are planning my step ahead.
You're the best.
Speaker 7 (01:38:48):
Well, okay, the website is a little bit complicated, so
I'll just make sure that we post it.
Speaker 3 (01:38:53):
What is why is it complicated?
Speaker 16 (01:38:55):
What is it? One?
Speaker 8 (01:38:56):

Speaker 16 (01:39:12):
You know what? You want to.
Speaker 3 (01:39:12):
Encourage people to go and do it and then to
give they give us those addresses. Hello, I'll tell you it,
give us a few moments, give us a beat, as
we call it, and we will post it all on
our Instagram Elvis Duran's show. That's easy to remember. Yeah,
on your Insta Elvis Duran's Show, and we'll have so
you can actually bid on Gandhi's artwork contributions and also
(01:39:34):
incredible artwork from other artists.
Speaker 1 (01:39:36):
Yeah, there's a lot of good stuff there too. You know,
it's exciting and.
Speaker 3 (01:39:40):
A lot of money will be raised tonight. And the
reason why we're doing this is, you know, look, our
US government has a lot of funding set aside for
cancer research. Only less than ten percent of that is
for kids cancer initiatives, and so that's one of the
reasons why Cookies for Kids Cancer was started. And Uh,
(01:40:01):
it's time for us to really really get extra serious
about finding cures for these cancers. And the money raised
by the Cookies and the Chef's Dinner tonight, UH goes
to these incredible programs and they have cured a lot
of kids cancer problems already and now more will be cured. Tomort,
(01:40:22):
what are you guys doing with the cameras? Now you're
I'm getting dizzy behind us, paying no attention to the
men behind the curtain. I know, but I'm looking at
you on the camera and it's like going in circles.
I'm getting dizzy. I have to sit out anyway, all right.
