Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, it's their loss. What would you talk about on
you on your podcast represents parting show Ba ba ba
Garrett Ba ba ba blah blah blah blah blah blah

(00:22):
blah blah blah blah blah, Yeah, bah blah bla bla
b Barrett by bye, by blah bla. All right, if
you're listening right now, you go ready, go very yeah.
All right, guys, so listen. If you're listening to myself,
Greig t here climbing around with my partner Crime Garrett,

(00:44):
then you know only one thing is going on the
Elvis Duran Morning Show is in the main studio recording
with a celebrity. I hope you would be to be
paid back at a later time. Now, I hope you
enjoy it, like you turn into tune into the podcast,
you know every day, the fifteen minute morning show. I
hope you get you know, a little extra behind the
scenes of the rest of the show. And you know,

(01:07):
every so often it just so happens to be Gregg
Tea and myself. We just hope we don't let you down. No,
we're camping it real man. We are giving you whatever
we can give you. That's all we're like singing along
with the beginning. You know, when the whole shows together,
they're not gonna sing along at the beginning. That's a
girt Tea and Garrett are here for yes. So this
is the fifteen minute Morning Show, the Morning Show podcast.

(01:28):
And uh, tell all your friends about to tell your
moms and dads and uncles and aunts and your cousins
and your best friends and your enemies. Tell them all
about the fifteen minute Morning Show. Just writing a better
review a bad review? Yeah, you can ask Alvis, why
do you let Greg T and Garrett host when you
guys are busy? Well, unfortunately, this is the way it is.
Garrett went around and asked everybody, didn't you Garrett? Yes,

(01:48):
And everybody is somehow tied into this interview, like people
that you wouldn't expect to be tied into an interview
that normally aren't all of a sudden are tied into
an interview. I don't know, I don't know, but that
be the case. You're working on something huge, right, I
am working on something huge, John Grisham type huge. Tom
Clancy watch out because great T is about to become

(02:12):
an author. This has never been done on radio. Before,
so I would think so back in you know, back
in the olden days when like people didn't have TVs,
well then yeah, I mean they did do murder mysteries
on the radio, right, because then you're right, they only
had radios, they didn't have TVs. But um, you know,
since the evolution of the television, uh, they have they
have never done this before. So what I'm working on

(02:34):
is a game for the Elvis Duran Morning Show audience
to play along. And it is going to be the
first of its kind, is the Elvis Duran Morning Show
Murder Mystery game. And and unlike normally when we come
up with ideas for we all sit down and you
have solely taken this upon yourself to home, no one

(02:56):
knows anything a storylines. What's happening. All know is it's
a murder missions, right. So what happens is in the
murder mystery, one of the Elvis Duran Morning Show members
will be killed and then you have to figure out
which which person from the Elvis Duran Morning Show did it?
So one of us is the killer. So we will
unveil that game tomorrow morning. Now I don't know when

(03:19):
you're listening, but right now, today is May the second,
so which means we're gonna do this May the third,
So on May third, and look at that, there is
our celebrity. Uh. You know, guys, we are sitting in
a studio right now with ceiling to floor windows, so
there it's like a fish bowl. We call these fish bowls.
And we can see outside who's passing by as Garrett

(03:40):
and I are recording the podcast. The reason again why
nobody else is here is because they're all getting set
to interview a celeb that can't make it live on
the radio with us. So we're gonna play it back
to you when you know, when, when it's all said
and done, the celebrity just walked in, I will tell you.
Can we give the celebrity? Can we give clues? I
think at this point we can't even give clues you
pretty much? Can we have a celebrity on tomorrow? Celebrity

(04:02):
on tomorrow? They're they're doing SNL this weekend. Okay, so
the celeb will be on SNL this weekend. That's enough.
That's all we should that's all we should say. The
celeb will be on SNL this weekend. And the celeb
is stopping by now, to do the interview to be
played back tomorrow. Right, so anyway, um as we get
back into it, let's go back into it. Um So Yeah.

(04:24):
So for the past three days, I've been working on
the Elvis Durrand murder MR. Three days. Three days. It's
a lot more work than you would ever think, Yes,
because you have to plot it out where there's clues
left so that the audience can figure out who they
think is the killer. Now is it as easy as
you would think? Outsider looking in, Uh, and you see

(04:46):
these mysteries, you watch them on TV, you read about him,
and you're right, I could do that now. You spent
three days so far? Well, I it just occurred to
me like there's been a lot of going back and
like kind of erasing things and then adding things and
then rewriting different storylines. So it's been a lot more work.

(05:07):
It's not Now it's easy once I have the whole
storyline down, Now it's easy. I went around. I talked
to Josh coaster Board. Josh. I asked him for some ideas. Uh,
he's the one that said you need to write a
storyline first. Now without like if you could grade yourself
right now looking at the product you're about to give
everybody tomorrow. What would you give it for the first one? First,

(05:28):
I'm gonna give this one a seven plus out of ten.
This is I don't think this is a ten yet.
I think it's a seven plus. There's room to get better.
But because it's the first one, nobody, nobody's done this
on the radio before, I would say that, you know what,
people are gonna like it. I'm giving it a seven
plus and I think people are gonna to really enjoy

(05:49):
this new game. Well, now, now, I don't know your
writing process. I don't know if you're a good writer.
I do let my mind wander, yes, and when you do,
you kind of like have to get back on track.
But have you come across riding blocks, because I I
think that you have because writer's block. I'm staring at
it right now. You have a big thing. I don't know.

(06:10):
Somebody else has said what that is. I don't know
what somebody it looks it looks like a zip. But
but but the thing is, it looks like you've been
scratching and try to trying to get rid of it yourself.
I don't know what it is, but yeah, it's like
right smack in the middle of your face. It's it's
right in the No, it has it hasn't. Trust me
would have told you as a friend and I we
host here in New York and you can hear it

(06:31):
live on on the radio station that we're on, Z one,
or you can listen to it on Sirius satellite radio
channel twelve, or you can listen to it on the
I Heart Radio app. But me and Garrett go live
every single morning prior to Elvis duran Morning Show. We
are the five am pre morning show. We are the
lead in and we have to be here every day early.

(06:52):
We talk, we do sometimes interviews, we have information, news headlines,
things like that, and we get you prepared for Elvis
Durran Morning Show. So you can check that out and
start listening tomorrow if you want. I don't know if
you're up at that at that hour. But so Garrett
and when we met this morning, didn't see a thing.
You're fine. So I mean, given a pimple, is it

(07:14):
whatever you want? But it's not even a pimple. It's
it does it's not even below the skin. Well, it's
probably so below the skin even side. It's just like
a red dot like, it's almost the point where you're
a unicorn. What. Yeah, dude, I don't know what have
you seen? Have you seen it? No, take a picture
of a real quick, I don't I don't know my camera,
my phone, take your camera, put it on selfie mode.

(07:34):
I gotta say this thing, man, because Jake just said
it said the same. Yeah, he's liked what it's like.
It's in the it's in the Bermuda triangle of of
your face where you're now. From what I learned from dermatologists,
you're not supposed to touch anything there because that's where
you pretty much would scar over for for a very

(07:55):
long time. Look at that, So it looks like though
you might not have it looks like you've been picking
at it so and it's progressively gotten worse over the morning. Wow,
do you have meetings today? I do, And I'll tell
you this now. Now use this as an icebreaker, because
I almost look like a superhero the way it's shaped,
well like I could be. It's like a diamond or something. Yeah,

(08:16):
you look you look like you're from another planet. What
is that? And and only other people from this planet
you can identify? What is? You know? What? Now? Here's
the thing. You gotta think. What else could it be
aside from a zip? A long time ago, A long
time ago. I went to the bathroom, right, and I
was I went into the bathroom to do a number two. Okay,

(08:36):
not number one, number two. You know you know number
one is right, number no, Number one is we Number
two is the pooping, right, So I had to go
in and do a poops do number two, and uh,
maybe I was pushing too hard, and what happened was
same area, like all this blood rushed there and it
got stuck all of all the places in your in
your body. The blood rushed right into the middle of

(08:58):
when I take a big, big one between your two eyes.
And yeah, so maybe that's what happened. I did take
a big number two, So maybe I pushed too hard
and then that's what happened. Did it happen today? Yeah,
I well, I I took it to today and not
a big one. That's pain there, No, you mean in
my rear ending. No, not in your rear end your face. No,

(09:19):
I have no pain. I don't even know what's there.
I think we'll get that checked out. All the blood capillaries,
I think they all burst right in that area when
I took the big number two. I love how people
right now probably have a tab open and they're going
on web m D and seeing we got to send
this picture out that people have got to see this
so they know what we're talking about. Put on your Instagram.
You gotta send it to me and I'll put it
on my Instagram later on. Alright, So anyway, we have

(09:43):
how much more time left? Just a little bit more
than five minutes? Um. You know, something happened today on
the five AM pre Morning Show that I would like
to to address. So Garrett and I, like I said earlier,
we host this five Am pre show, and the show
is really doing well since Garrett has joined me on
the show man, the show is going through the roof. Well,

(10:03):
it's effort. It is a team effort, the effort, right,
and I had done the five am pre Morning Show
for many many years prior to Garrett coming along, and
like as all you know duos, there's always some bumps
in the road and some hiccups or whatever, and we've
gotten through that and now we're like an easy street.
The two of us are kicking ass on that even

(10:24):
though it's one hour from five until six. We have
ways here at one at the radio station of figuring
out how many people are actually listening during certain hours
of the day, any day, any hour. We can pick
out any but you can go to you can say,
let's let's say who's listening between three thirty and four
thirty on Tuesday, and we can go find out how

(10:45):
many people were actually listening to our to our stations
at the time. So the boss has come to us
and said, guys, I wouldn't sleep on this. I can't
believe what I'm seeing here. But between five am and
six am, your show is doing really well. And then
he showed you the graph you showed me and I
was like, oh my god. So that being said, the
show's doing well. But today we had a little bit

(11:06):
of a hiccup. Garrett, do you want to tell your
side of what the hiccup was? Sure, because we need
to get it out. We need to address this. And
ladies and gentlemen, if you're listening at home, maybe you
could decide who was right and who was wrong here
in the five am pre morning show situation that we had.
And I'm sorry that we're talking about this, but there's
really nothing else to talk about because the rest of
the show is in the studio carrying on an interview
with the celebrity right now, Well, can you make this?

(11:28):
Can you answer this question before I get into Is
this the reason why you haven't said a word to
me today? That is not sure? We see. I felt
you weren't talking me to me today. I felt that
you were ignoring me today all morning on purpose. I
sat in the studio and then you got up and
walked out twice. I was done doing my thing in
the studio, so when you sat down, I knew you
were getting ready to do your piece. How funny that

(11:50):
you thought I wasn't talking to you. I even went
as far as when you were trying to talk to
everybody outside to kind of like jump in and and out.
When you were outside telling telling that everybody to move
out of their house, I was. I was talking to you,
and you were like I threw, I thought you were
ignoring me all morning. That's why I felt like we
should address this, and you thought I was ignoring you.

(12:14):
I was not ignoring you. I really wasn't. I was
kind of over because I didn't want to drag that
on until tomorrow and the reason is, I'm so proud
of how we're doing on the five AM Show. So
I'm more disappointed in what happened than I am wanted
to carry over and be mad because I really say
big things happening with the five Am Show. Aside from that, I,

(12:34):
like I said, after we dropped it at five thirty,
I was I was done with it, like personally, can't
believe this. I moved on and got over with that.
That's how I got over it. I thought you thought.
I thought you were ignoring me. All right, so you
tell him what happened. So the story of Joe Jonas,
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner came out early this morning.
They were in Vegas, and uh so I got wind

(12:57):
of it on on my laptop as I was doing
and Gregg TI wanted to go to commercial break, and
I just said, hey, this has just happened, and uh
you know what a lot of people don't know is
when you are not I can't say blindsided, but when
you're when you are on the radio and you're when
you Gregg T are unaware of something right. You don't

(13:18):
can't shut the microphones off, you don't know how to
absorb certain things, right. I need to be prepared, right,
even if it's a joke that's gonna happen, I just
need to know a little bit of the joke in
order to really make it really good. Okay. I just
assumed as as we've we've always done and been. You know, boys,
you just throw it out there and say hey man.
And I figured, like, this is like us being at

(13:40):
a bar, like if the music goes, we could always
whatever it. Okay, So so I said, hey, this just happened.
But because again, you also had many of things on
your side of buttons and encounters and numbers, You had
many things that you were thinking about at once time.
You could not concentrate on the traffic. Lady was ready
to go. We had to do things right. So I

(14:01):
was unprepared for this and for this announcement. And and
you do this thing where it comes across like are
you listening? Where are you listening or not? Where I
told you everything? And then you go, wait, we'll tell
me again, and then I'll tell you again, and then
you're like, but but what but then questions I have
no idea about. So with that, I, uh, you know,

(14:22):
if that I apologize for blindsiding you with with what
I didn't think was like the earth shattering news, but
it really was. That news now is everywhere. Joe Jonahs
got married in Vegas last night after the Billboard Awards.
Massive story massive, So why then, why sit on it
for another twelve minutes so that I can get prepared,
so that I can put in like sound effects and

(14:44):
fireworks and who not down the music? Put put down
the music. Don't worry about it. We will. I'll take
care of it. We can. We can hash it out.
But how but what the music is coming on? Put
it down? Put it down. We'll hash it out for
another minute. Maybe we hash it out behind the scene.
We feed each other down. I think, no, we're not
gonna beat each other down. I think this is the
best way to do it. Well, listen, Okay, so I

(15:05):
just saw it, like, so now we're liking overtime here? Yeah,
it's fine. Are we allowed to go to overtime? We are?
But it's the fifteen minute morning shows the title. We
can go for four hours if we wanted to. Wow,
all right, well I don't. I don't want to go
drag it out too long. But I I I so
know that you wanted to be the guy to break
the news. And I think that's great and I'm fine

(15:26):
with that. I think that's awesome because in New York especially,
we are the only entertainment driven morning show or or
radio station that's on the radio, especially at that time.
So if you're gonna get some breaking news that's happening
in the entertainment world, well everybody knows where you're gonna
get it from. You're gonna get it from this radio station,

(15:48):
from ZE one hundred here in New York City. You're
gonna get it with you're listening to us and whatever.
So I'm I'm well versed and understanding that that has
to happen here that we break the news. I got
at it. I got it. But I just like to
be prepared because because we're doing so well with the
five Am Show, I want to maybe put in a

(16:09):
sound effect of like trumpets or breaking news or like,
you know, like a news bet saying like did he did?
He did? Like an S O S. Doesn't seem like
a very old school though, Okay, you know, and it does,
and you to me all the time of hey, let's
let's be as relevant as possible, right, and what's more
relevant than being in the moment. You're hanging out with friends,

(16:30):
you know where I envisioned you and I sitting at
a bar as you know, but we have microphones. And
then all of a sudden you broke the news just
like you did to me when when when Odell Beckham
got traded to the Cleveland that but we're sitting we're
sitting down at a dinner and you go so envisioned
the same thing. Take remember that that happened two months ago.

(16:51):
I know, but how could you hold on to the
way I broke the news to you that O'Dell got
so so take O'Dell out of it, and and just
just like Joe Jonas and Sophie Earner in there and
switch roles. Okay, but we weren't live on the radio
when I told you that Odell Beckham. But outside of
but outside of the radio, it's this is how the
radio show goes. We're just two guys, were two friends

(17:11):
just talking amongst things. It just so happens. People are listening.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, you've heard both sides of things.
You've heard the way I okay, these let's review the
facts real quick, Joe Jonas got married to Sophie Turner.
It happened after the Billboard Awards, which is one am
East Coast time in Vegas minus three hours. It's ten

(17:35):
am PMPM, so ten pm Vegas time. Okay. If he
gets married at eleven o'clock East coast time, he got
married two hours after the show two okay, so so
east coast. The Billboard Awards end at eleven two hours
later at two am now, so two am East coast time.
We're all sleep. Yes, three hours past is a eleven

(18:00):
pm Vegas time, so levin PM Vegas. They go to
get engaged, getting married, right, Okay. Garrett breaks the news
on the radio live as I am trying to go
to traffic. I say to Garrett, why would you do
that and not tell me? Because I didn't know yet.
So that's the facts. Should I just have rolled with it?

(18:23):
Or was I right to be a little bit dismayed
at Garrett for breaking the news on the five AM
show without me not being notified? All right, So that's
it the extended fifteen minute morning show. Appreciate listening, and
there you have it. Well, dude, I'm happy that we've
made up I'm happy that we've made up. Do you
want to kiss each other and give us? No? No,

(18:45):
I don't mind giving you hugs and kill get whatever
is on your face. No, you're not out of telling
you I did a poop and that's why it's there
like that. Well, it's something like that. Go ast dr
to think that you thought I was ignoring you all morning,
and that I thought that you were ignoring me all morning,
when either of that was even happening. You see that communication,
Garrett is key. Communication is key, ladies and gentlemen. Hopefully

(19:07):
the Morning Show will be will be back tomorrow for you.
If not, you're gonna get Garrett of me again. Oh
next week. Oh we'll see you next week. Peace. We
out
