Speaker 1 (00:01):
Get your heads together and we're gonna start to party.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm ready to party.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
The Elvis Duran after Party.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
What okay, what what? It's the after Party podcast. Let's go. Yeah,
we got a room full. We've got Scotti b in
another room, but he's filling up that room, so it's
full room. Here's Gandhi, Here's Scary, Here's Garrett, Here's Danielle,
and here's straight Nate. Hello Da, Hello dad. All right,
So you know on our show today we were talking
about superpowers. How did that come up again?

Speaker 5 (00:39):
Sam and her husband got into an argument about which
superpower would be best.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Hers actually was pretty good.

Speaker 6 (00:44):
The Jumping.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
You saw that movie right with him Christmas.

Speaker 7 (00:48):
So the guy had the ability to teleport anywhere that
he had seen in either a picture or hadvance. So
you're a bank vault and take all the money and
pop back into his apartment.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
I would like to go to the Pyramids for I'd
like to go to Positano and just you know, you've
been talking about teleporting a lot lately, Gandhi, Yes, I
really need to Why has it really been on your mind?

Speaker 5 (01:08):
Have you been around lately? Mean to get the hell
out of here. I gotta go somewhere Canada. I don't
think they'll have us. I don't know. Maybe another planet,
another universe. I hear that we're actually living in a
black hole. So cool. There's got to other stuff out there,
all right, take me.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Teleporting would be pretty awesome. Yes, no commute time, no traffic,
yeah all right? Superpower scary?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yes. Mine would be mind reading. I want to be
able to read everyone's mind and know what the hell
you all think of me.

Speaker 8 (01:38):
That would No, I wouldn't because then I could write
friends off easier that aren't aren't friends?

Speaker 6 (01:44):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I'm like, well, then you're two faced. You know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 8 (01:47):
Like if Nate, for instance, was telling me to my
face that we're friends who were hanging out, we're boys.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
And MEANWHI was like, this guy's a shithead.

Speaker 7 (01:56):
Done.

Speaker 9 (01:57):
Next got me actually read my mother?

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Oh my god, the superpower is soaking in. You're actually
reading his mind. He thinks you're a ship hit.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Wait, you don't.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Have to read my mind to know how I feel
about you.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
I think Jail's right. I would go in say, unless.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
You can turn it off and not have it on
all the time. But I feel like if you go
up to someone and right away, you know what they're thinking.
You're gonna have no friends right right now?

Speaker 7 (02:24):
You know.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
It reminds me sort of sort of related related to
people who connect with the spirits on the other side,
they're talking to them with the pink air. How you
get him to shut up?

Speaker 3 (02:36):
She says, there's a way to turn it off. You
have to your brain. Though, No, you have to train
your brain somehow.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Wow. Yeah, maybe I take that back. That's on second thought,
that's not.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
A good Okay, we'll think of about what.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Wait, I don't want mine to be teleportation. I like it,
but that's not what my superpower.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
We're talking about the fact you've been talking about teleportation,
So what is yours.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
I want to be able to learn anything in a second, limitless,
you remember that, like Peter Patroli from Heroes. Even in
that include learning someone else's superpower. So if somebody knows
how to teleport, I could just go touch them and
now I know how to teleport. That would be amazing.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
It's through physically touching or watching.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
You can watch or touch Okay, yeah, just absorb it
really quickly.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Learning something in a split second. Yeah, Wow, like a computer.
It's like downloading something.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
Yes, wow, bamn, now I know it.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
All right, that's a good one. That wouldn't drive you crazy? No, no,
well wait a minute, hold on, are you sure they
wouldn't drive you crazy? Is it sometimes learning something on
your own of the act of discovery? You would never
have that feeling again, you.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Would, That's true.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
I wonder if I could turn it on and off though,
So if I actually want to learn something, maybe I
can learn it. But if I want to absorb, bam,
it's mine. And if I don't want to abs absorb,
I don't have to.

Speaker 7 (03:45):
Yea.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
So we have a rule. We want superpowers, but we
want to off switch caveats. Yes it's a caveat. Hey,
Scotty B what about you?

Speaker 9 (03:52):
I mean, I've got two, but they're for a very
different reasons.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
We want to hear both of them.

Speaker 9 (03:54):
You want to hear both of them? Well, I mean
straight up, I want to be invisible so I can
be a creeper.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Well, give us an example of what you would creep on.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Okay, do you really need one?

Speaker 9 (04:04):
I would just watch people doing stuff without them. But
you have to be really, just because you're invisible doesn't
mean you're quiet, so you have to be quiet also,
but or you smell. Yeah, yeah, that too.

Speaker 6 (04:14):
No.

Speaker 9 (04:14):
I wish I could. I wish I had the superpower
to go back in time or turn back time. I
would sometimes do things differently, maybe make a left turn
instead of a right turn, and would be in different
situations in life.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Wow, it's all about the butterfly effect.

Speaker 9 (04:27):
What is that?

Speaker 5 (04:27):
It's where if you go back in time you change
even one thing, even the flutter of a butterfly's wings,
it changes the course of your entire life.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
If it does, you fuck up everyone. Yeah, but you
wouldn't know.

Speaker 9 (04:36):
You wouldn't know because that's just the way things would be.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Very selfish, I guess, yeah, pretty much.

Speaker 9 (04:43):
But no, I still would want to go I see.
I want to travel back in time to like see stuff.
I think it's so cool to go back to, like
the nineteen twenties. I want to be a.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
Part of it.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
I want to be a flapper.

Speaker 9 (04:52):
Maybe I'll just be invisible there so I can watch
them and their nick.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
But you would get there and there's would.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
You say his nickers?

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Oh okay, oh my godness, making sure that's what you said?
What you you kind of went back to nineteen twenty.
Their first second, I thought, well, that's the thing is
that if you go back to nineteen twenty, See, here's
my thing. This is where I kind of shit all
over your right, your superpower. If you go back to
nineteen twenty, there's no air conditionings.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Oh god, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
All the conveniences we have now, but there are things that, like,
you know, there's no social media back there.

Speaker 10 (05:25):
But to Scotti's point, wouldn't you want to say, hey,
what was going on in this very spot I'm sitting
in right now, on this date in nineteen twenty, And
that'd be great, that would be an I kind of
see where he's coming from. But then in nineteen twenty
in New York City was just like dirt roads and
horses and horse shit.

Speaker 9 (05:43):
Yeah, very true, and people walking around in bloomers.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
I don't mean to he loves saying the Bloomers.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
I don't mean to crapple over here.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Superpower, All these superpowers are shit.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Okay, Okay, I found something positive in the negative. You
go back then and you realize, okay, it's cool to
be here in nineteen twenty, but you know, there are
things from twenty twenty five that are kind of cool
and we take them for granted, and I'm gonna go
back and enjoy them.

Speaker 9 (06:12):
Yeah, just simpler times, that's all simple. I think simple
times are cool.

Speaker 5 (06:15):
You look like a wizard. Probably you had all the
technology from now or just even new things now that
they didn't know about.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
That.

Speaker 9 (06:20):
That's why I would say, hey, television, and they'd be like, what.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
So if you travel back in time to twenty to
nineteen twenty, right, and they thought you were kind of
weird because you're a wizard looking kind of guy and
they killed you, would you be able to go back?
You'd be dead.

Speaker 9 (06:36):
I don't know how care favel really works.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
So a lot of people died. You died at an
earlier age back then for many reasons.

Speaker 9 (06:41):
It's syphilis and stuff.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Right.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
He would be credited for cargo shorts though, cavity.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
I think they had those in nineteen twenty.

Speaker 9 (06:48):
I could see my dad's car roll off the assembly line.
He has a nineteen twenty something or other.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
I mean old Navy back then was new Navy, and
they had cargo shorts, say garants, Yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Would be able to call time out and then leave
like everybody else is frozen, and I leave. So if
we're in an argument right now, all this, if we freeze,
we just leave, pretty.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Much, I'm kidding. That's what it would look like. You
just sort of experienced.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
That would be, and you would have no idea where
I went. You just felt, and then you would stop
arguing with me and you're like, whatever, move on, Where.

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Did Garrett go?

Speaker 2 (07:26):
I want to No, you can't have it.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
I have it you?

Speaker 4 (07:32):
What about you?

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Danielle?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
I want to be invisible because I want to fuck
with everybody, like I want to haunt you, Like I
want to come over to your house and like move
ship and you'll.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Be like, what the freak is happening?

Speaker 3 (07:42):
Like, that's what I want to do.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Who in the room?

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Would ju Han first?

Speaker 6 (07:46):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I first, hold my mom. She's not in the room
because she doesn't not my mom, my husband because he
doesn't believe in any of this stuff. So I would
want him first so that he would believe.

Speaker 5 (07:55):
Nice.

Speaker 7 (07:56):
That would be it superpower, Okay, I put a lot
of thought into this.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
It would be the ability to just scroll back fifteen
seconds at any moment. So, for instance, we were at
the blackjack table, like oh I won that hand.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
All right, I don't put all the money.

Speaker 6 (08:17):
I have a funny line that you don't come up
with until after the conversation. Crack joke, it's hilarious.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
I want that one.

Speaker 6 (08:32):
Wait, hang on, scary.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
Your superpower to be every superpower are I would. I
would have influence over everyone's mind. I would make you
change the way you think and feel. I would change,
I would well, I would make you change your belief system.
I would make change. And hopefully through all of that
I could and a lot of the bullshits going on.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
That would be great.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
I don't know that's your order.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I think you kind of thought it already, though with us,
not quite.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Not quite? With us? Does nobody chose flying or something
like physical?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Like everybody's doing that.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
We're casting webs a thing.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Yeah, you can catch united.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
We do that every afternoon.

Speaker 9 (09:18):
Sorry, I was about six.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Oh god, that's my web shooter.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Now that's right.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
We can all go back fifteen seconds right now? All right,
Well we're done.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
That was great.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Let's get these superpowers started in reverse.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
We didn't talk about that one.

Speaker 10 (09:38):
We get young baby, Well, you didn't have to be
a limit to it.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
We don't have any in your drawings.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Maybe maybe you are.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
And his friends alreadys tell him how he stays so young,
so superpower.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Again, he inserted another joke.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
All right, we need to go back another fifteen seconds.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
We gotta get out of here. The after party is done.
Good bye bye.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
The Alvista Ran after party
