Speaker 1 (00:12):
It's time. Hello no no, no, mother low. Hello, Welcome
to the Naughty but Nicer. I'm your host, Romshooter, and
it's bright and early Monday morning, which means only one thing.
A delicious cup of coffee, a cup of orange juice, waffles,
our bagels. Garrett Vogel, you are all the above.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Hello, did you just describe me as like a Denny's menu?

Speaker 1 (00:36):
You're comfort for your comfort, happy Monday, for happy mental
Let's jump into the show because we've got so much
to get to. What time is it, my friends? It
is tea time. So on Friday, after we posted our podcast,
it was announced that j Lo was canceling her tour.
I've got all the details. So it's been quite a

(00:59):
week for Jennifer. You remember. It started with all the
rumors about her personal life, trouble with Ben Affleck. He's
moved out, they're wearing their rings, They're not wearing their rings. Well,
just when we thought things couldn't get any worse, Jennifer
released a new Netflix movie that Netflix is saying got
the most rated movie of the Memorial Day weekend. However,

(01:20):
it's been panned by the critics. The critics did not
like this movie then, and I think this was the
point we were also shocked about. On Friday, it was
announced that Jennifer was canceling her tour. We've spoken about
this tour before on the show. It wasn't selling terribly well. However,
Music Inside, as concert promoters pointed out to me, lots

(01:44):
of people now by at the last minute after the pandemic,
we're not booking concerts six months in advance. We used
to do that, didn't we. Now it's literally day off
ticket sales. I know a few pop stars who some
of them have looked at the same for their shows
and being like, oh dear, this is not very good.
Then the night of the show it's packed because so

(02:06):
many people. Now, even theatre musical theater shows on Broadway,
they sell a lot of tickets on the day of
the show. What's going on?

Speaker 2 (02:15):
So it's different. I think a lot of these stars
meeting Jennifer Lopez, even justin Timberlake, justin Timberlake, it kind
of is like mirroring j Loo in the sense of
ticket sales. But this the show sell out day.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Problem is those stars think they're tailor swift, you know
level they are so big. Problem is you need to
buy Tailor Swift tickets months in advance because the hype
is there. The hype just isn't there anymore for them
as much. When you're there, the nostalgia hit you. You
get the goosebumps, you get the oh, I remember driving

(02:50):
in the car with my friend listening to that j
Loo song or whoever you know, But it's not there.
It's an older crowd. There is no hype. They're worrying
about mortgages, worrying about paying bills and gas and paying
a thousand bucks. You know, four months in advance just
doesn't cut it anymore.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
It's gone. It's not about Jaylo, It's about us. It's honestly,
if you're listening Jennifer Hello, no, no, no, don't feel bad
about this. This is us. I think when buying habits change.
Like for instance, there was in the eighties pop stars
would sell CDs. Michael Jackson sold forty million copies of Thriller.
That is gone. Not even Taylor Swift can do that.
It's just a different way now that we experience music.

(03:31):
And I think the same with concerts, with maybe the
exception of Taylor Swift. When Madonna played the Garden a
couple of months ago. I went with my friends and
we got tickets the day off, and it was a
great show. But we decided that day.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
You know what I wanted to ask you too, as
a as a former PR guru to the stars, including
Jennifer Lopez, getting their comment of we know that ticket
sales weren't great. It's been a story from NZAPO months
and what the story came out from Jennifer was, Oh,
I just want to spend time with my kids and family.

(04:07):
You know, like you could feel being like to you
know what I mean, Like, you know, I can't.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
My advice would have been, if I'd still been working
with Jennifer last week, I would I would have said,
don't say anything if you don't want to admit the truth,
but actually admitting the truth can be really humanizing. If
you can say I'm really disappointed it didn't sell as
well as it I thought it would, and maybe we'll
take a little break and maybe people are sick of me.
I would really lean into it. I'd be really honest about.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I'm glad she didn't use the mental health oh, you know,
because I think that's run its course as well. You know,
the poor ticket sales, and you know, you go for
the sympathy of well, I'm taking a break from mental health.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Then why'd you sign up for eight months worth of
touring right there? You know? But you know what else?
You know what else?

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I you know, Ben didn't help the cause towards the
end of the week two, where he just had to
come out of nowhere and goes, I hate the Yankees,
your wife's team.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Ben. The one little bit of silver lining here is
Jennifer his friends with Leah remine against they fell out.
So Jennifer and Leah were so close and they had
a falling out over Ben. Leah did not support Jennifer
going back with Ben. It's tricky, isn't it. As a friend,
what do you do if you think your pal is

(05:22):
going to go into a bad relationship, worse a bad marriage?
Do you say anything? You're never gonna win. You're not
gonna win that.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Not even that this is like so as a friend,
I'm sure we've all been there where we talk bad
about the the ex, you know what I mean, like, oh.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
They're horrible.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
I never liked it, but I never liked it.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I never ever ever And then what happened get together
later and now they're marriage, Like, what's she to do?
What I mean to do? You know, she admitted it.
She did what we're asking jail. She goes, you know what,
I'm stepping back, not saying a word.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
I'm good that happened to me, and I learned my lesson.
A friend of mine, quite a high profile person, has
a miserable husband just they are just they don't really
get along. And when they were going through one of
their bad periods, I think he had kicked him out
of the house. We all said we never liked him.
He's such a horrible person. I can't believe you were

(06:14):
married to him. They got back together, and we've all
we've pretended we didn't say it, but we did.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
And it's happened in my family too, where it's just like,
you know, people break up and they're like, what a
piece of garbage, you know, and then a week later
it's like, oh so awkward.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Well, Leah Lizbek. I think that's a good thing, though,
because Lear is somebody who A is willing to fall
out with Jennifer, which a lot of people are not,
because she's the gravy train. If you've got your cause
into someone that famous. You give them, You give them
chances you might not give me or Garrett or another friend.
Like friends and Jayla, I'd probably let her get away
with a little bit more leister.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Yeah, no, no, no, Leah did to do that.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
She's one of the few people in Jennifer's life. And
I've been in Jennifer's life, so I've seen the inner
cirtle It are yes, people like without without a I.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
Think Lea's not.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
I think I think Leah brings that that, you know,
not to say New York.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
She does.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
She brings the New York attitude, you know what I mean.
Like you might not understand when I describe it like that,
but it's that it's that we're talking comfort food. It's
it's that comfort food. Having someone that you grew up
with that is just going to be real real, no
pun intended on Jaelo's song, but she she's telling it
like it is, you know. And and you know what
I'm excited about With Leah and Jalo back together, that

(07:39):
means a summer of TikTok yes and Instagram videos of
them by the pool, driving around in the hamp I
can't wait.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
I miss those videos. Hey, which brings us to our
whole question of the day. Jennifer Lopez and Lea Remini
are friends again after a lot of drama involving Ben Affleck.
So they're friends again. Now a question is quite simple.
Are you happy these two are pels? Gay and Okay?
I think I know the answer. Go vote on our
Twitter page, I know if your nice rab or our
Facebook page, which is nutty. I'm sure. Let's check back

(08:08):
tomorrow to hear your results. Hey, Garrett, what are you
working on?

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Well, we got some loving there. Let's talk about Sophie Turner.
She has definitely moved on from her and yes, and
now she is in love with a new boo.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Do you say his name? Perigee?

Speaker 1 (08:27):
That's how you say it.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
There we go.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
And so they went on a roman mantic getaway. You
know you're rich when you go romantic getaway. Let's go
to let's go to it.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
He's rich, she's rich, but he's rich.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
If preter, you and I are going to Olive Garden.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
You know, I'd love everybody. I'd love everybody.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
They go to Italy.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
So they've been spotted together back in November ish and uh,
you know they they've taken walks, you know.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Puffed on a cigarette from time to time.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Uh and uh, there's been photos of them in Italy
of course. And you know this all goes back to obviously,
since the separation from Sophie and Joe, you know, back
in November, and Sophie and Pearson, they've they've grown very close.
And you know that, like, and I want to ask

(09:16):
you this too as a PR person, you know, the
insider always.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
Says, oh, they're very close.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
You know, you know, it's not like it's not like
Sophie's best friend saying that that's.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
That's a person. Yes, it's a well he tells you
that it's a real relationship, but very close, that's a
that's a romantic thing too. And I think that we're
really rooting for her after the breakup with Joe Jonas.
I think we could have gone fifty to fifty. I
think the public could have been split. However, it appears
we don't know this, but it appears as if Joe's

(09:45):
team really really launched an attack on her.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
As a mother felt it.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Felt like it. Well, the attack certainly came. We don't
know where it came from. A lot of people are
suspecting this was from Joe's camp. It certainly wasn't her camp.
They're not going to trash her, and so there was
this source. Really yeah, but it was sustained. It kept going,
She's a terrible mother, She's had a party. He's got
to jump in and save the kids. And then remember
there was all of a sudden lots of photographs of

(10:12):
him and the kids, as if it tipped off the paps,
because we don't see pictures of him with the kids normally,
but suddenly we see a lot.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Of you know what she played, She played it smart too,
outside of just doing the stuff in court.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
Was she went to Taylor.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
And when she got her.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
When once you borrow the tailor swift covered like you
have tailor swift pr like, notice as soon as she.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Everybody else has to back off. If I was Joe's team,
I'd be like, oops, we just lost. Like you can't
beat this, this is like this is as big as
she played the tailor, she played the tailor card.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
They're sitting at the poster table and.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
She just pulled Can you imagine having that in your sleeve?

Speaker 4 (10:52):
If you could pull that was about to take all
the chips.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
I would over use it if I had the tailor card,
Like if I went into Starbucks and there was a
long line, I'd pull the cart. Or if I couldn't
get a seat on the subway to Greedy, I'd use it. Well,
she used it, Sophie used it at the perfect time.
I'm happy that she's happy. I want Joe to be
happy to He just broke up with his girlfriend, so
he's single. Now we should point out to her. Let's

(11:15):
be kind here. They are trying to co parent their
two children to get that okay, which is very important.
Moving along, Aubrey o'dei, who I've always had a soft
spot for. She's speaking out after the Diddy abuse video
was released. She's saying that there is no vindication. It's
very interesting, she said, quote, there's no vindication for anyone

(11:40):
to have. Sadly, if you're a victim of anyone at
any point, at any time in your life, there is
a ring of truth to this. There is no such
thing as vindication because it never goes away. So if
you've been abused, this is something that doesn't just go away.
She did reflect saying that the video has helped vindicate her.

(12:03):
So a lot of people didn't believe her story. I
think now we all do. But it is fascinating that
now that the truth seems to be out, it still
doesn't give you any closure.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yeah, and and the fact that she's been saying this
for so long and we we've all including myself, have
kind of just been like, oh, Aubrey, no more? Did it?
And you know what, I think it is And it
could could have been a result from just her early
days of being around Diddy was kind of she she
took that like quote unquote crazy going around, at least

(12:40):
as it was perceived. You know, uh, the the plastic surgery,
the sleeping with president's sons and and and whatnot. And
you look at it and you're like, it's great, but
where did it come from? It all derived from, you know,
the the days of working with someone like this, So
it kind of all starts to make sense now.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Unfortunately, unfortunately we're a little too late.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
So you know, I guess I guess an apology from
a lot of people of you know, sorry, we we really.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
I'll say, a prey, a prey Aubrey. I've always had
a soft spot for her. I've met her a few times.
We're email buddies for a while. In fact, I've got
to see if I've still got her email, I'll send
her a note. Okay, moving along. Katie Perry is such
a trouble maker in all the best possible way. She
has an amazing sense of humor. She's so cheeky. What
is she done now?

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Well, if you do not know, if you're living under
a rock. So June first is officially the start of pride.
Pride and happy pride everyone. So Katy Perry, I guess
was holding on to this for a little bit. She
doesn't post much on social and when she does something
fun and festive. But she took Harrison Bucker's commencement speech,

(13:50):
remember from about a month ago, where he pretty much
just bashed gays, women and pretty much just anyone graduating
college how they shouldn't be making money, and she re
edited his commencement speech make it sound like something you
would see like on Jimmy Kimmel, where make Harrison Bucker
sound like he was he was for the gay clients

(14:11):
and for women. And she put it in our comments,
happy Pride month to my gays women in all graduates
of twenty twenty four. And I'm curious to see what
Harrison Buker comes back with of.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
That wasn't me, that was edited. Of course it was edited.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
It Yes, it was editude.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
I also want to think that Katie sat at home
for a month just trying to edit on her phone.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
Like we all do.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
I'm terrible, terribly. I makes me laugh for me, and
I do have a few concerns big picture here. I
hate those deep fake videos where you can get a
celebrity or a politician to say something they didn't say.
So this made me a little bit queasy because I
think a lot of people might believe that this is
actually real. It's not fake news, is something that's everywhere nice.

(14:58):
So I had a little I'm about that, But overall,
I think that she made it pretty clear and it
is very funny. Check out Katie Perry's Instagram. Okay, we're
going to take a quick break and we will be
right back. Welcome back to the naughty but nice your
hast Yeah, shoot you with our different Garrett Vogel.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Hate Hello Garrett Darling.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Did you get a hair? Could you look cute today?

Speaker 2 (15:23):
But oh yeah no, I I did, Thank you for
I had. I had to do some work this weekend,
and I figured I might as well clean it.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Up a little bit.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Look a door.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
I got to see Thank You, I want to see
m Night. Hyamalan's new is scary. You watch her? Well,
it is scary, but you know cool backstory that his
daughter was his daughter's first directorial debut. He got to
be producer and Dakota Fannings in it. But you know,
I'm not much of a scary movie. Do you like
scary movie?

Speaker 1 (15:51):
I'm not. No, I don't. I don't know. I like
the sound of music, I like you know, the scariest
I get is Cabaret. Pretty scary, Okay, lying, that's it.
I cried it was scary enough. Okay, let's get to
the polls, do DA. So last year we talked about
Harry and Meghan going on faux royal tours. They were
recently in Nigeria and it wasn't an official tour, but

(16:13):
it looked like one. The Palace has some concerns about this,
particularly security concerns. They are very high profile. The last
thing anybody wants is anything to happen to them, so
they have concerns. I hope he are out of the
right out of the right place. It's coming from a
good place, I hope. But our question was should the
Palace mine their own business to have a look? Sixty

(16:34):
five percent said yes. But out they're left, they're doing
their own thing. Now they're adults, they know how to
do this. Hey, go, don't forget to vote on today's
pole got o. Our Twitter page out naughty, nice rob.
Our facebook page is naughty goes in, but be sure
to check out tomorrow to hear your results. And now
I love this. It's time for our Nasis the day.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
So we just talked about Katy Perry coming out swinging
and supporting Pride Month. Adele same thing. So Adele and
Katie Perry coming out strong for Pride Month. So she
has her residency in Las Vegas, as we all know,
and during the show, Adele is very interactive with the
crowd between songs and as she's sitting at the piano
with her piano player over at Caesar's Palace at the

(17:16):
Coliseum on Saturday night, she heard someone yell out Pride
sigh the start of Pride Month. So of course, Adele,
you know queen and friend of the Gage, decided decided
to respond and goes, did you come to my effringe?

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Did you come to my shoo and say? Are you stupid?
Don't be sodiculous? Sorry I had you. It was so great.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Uh, you know the crowd went crazy, and you know what,
credit to Adele because after you get embarrassed, instead of
going as a security please esport them out.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
She made them sit there.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
She said stay for the rest of the show. The
end of the show, she said, happy pride. Everyone except
you appointed to that person. She just kept going, I
love Have you seen this show, Garrett.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
I know, but friends have, and you know you think, like, oh,
it's adel it is.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
It is mad, It's magical.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
I saw her. I stuck into Vegas. That's only there.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
I know.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
I was in Vegas working just really it was like
a twenty four hour sort of thing, and we got
once again tickets of the day off. We could actually
get tickets. There weren't great seats, but I like sitting
at the back with all the people screaming and shouting,
so we were way, way way at the back. It
was magical. You think of her sometimes as a really
sophisticated evening of adults in in a classy way entertainment,

(18:38):
singing these amazing classics like Tony Bennett. Oh, she's so
dirty and cheeky, and she's got the voice. When she sings,
she sounds like an angel. And then she tells the
most that she says the most filthy joke. It is brilliant.
One of my favorite shows in Vegas. And I says
the day now and naughty's the day, naughty, naughty, naughty.

(18:59):
Jason Sadakas is grilling Travis Kelsey on whether or not
he has marriage plans with Taylor Swift. So it's actually
quite funny. They were involved in an event together and
he said to Travis, Hey, Travis, real talk, Okay, just
the guys here, and then he leant it in and said, hen,
when are you gonna make an honest woman out of her? Now?

(19:21):
Travis didn't answer, He smiled and he laughed. The reason
this is the naughtiest then I love Troublemakers, is that
Jason was so protective about his personal details. You can't
ask him about Olivia, you can't ask him about Harry styles.
And so you've gotta be careful here. If you want
to mock or if you want to have a little fun,
you've got to be able to take it.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
You know what, I think he can get away with
it because he was in character, so they were doing
a skin him.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
It was a character that asked, that's how he's gonna
go away. That's how he's gonna get away. There, let's
end with a moment of Robbe Rob Rob. If you
want change, focus on the positive outcome. Let me give
you a re good example. So a friend of mine
has been smoking a long time and definitely has concerns
about cancer, but that did not stop her from smoking.
Do you know what did? She wanted better skin, She

(20:10):
wanted a better glow. So focus on the reward, not
the loss. There's a really famous study out. I love
this study and it asks people to act to press
a button every time they wanted some money. So if
you press this button, I'll give you money. Then they
did the same experiment saying to people, every time you
press the button, you won't lose money. Less people hear it,

(20:35):
so that the outcome here, The takeaway here is if
you wan't change, focus on the positive. Hey, that is
it for today. Thank you so much for listening to
