Speaker 1 (00:08):
Advice Shooters.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
It's time hell I will welcome to the Not Even
Nice Show. I'm your host, Grom Shooter, and it's Monday,
the start for brand new fresh week, and we're going
to do it with a brand new fresh friend Garrett.
Though not so new Garrett friendship wise, but you're certainly fresh.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Hello Darling, Good morning, Rob Shooter. How is your weekend?
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Lovely? Lovely, lovely? I had one of those weekends of
eating too much food, drinking too much good drinks, laughing
too loud. It was a great weekend. How was yours?
Speaker 1 (00:39):
It was great. My my nephew that my sister and
brother in law just had came home from Boston to
meet do the whole meeting of the family, the extended
great grandma, great aunts, uh, you know, Grandma and grandpa cousins.
I love it, you know, equated to you know, like
when Simba was on Pride being raised above by Rafigi.
(01:03):
That's what it was on Staten Island over the week.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
How beautiful And maybe a new listener to the Naughty
but Nice Podcast Always Thinking.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Or whatever it is, it is.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
One of the time we're going to win them over. Okay,
let's jump into the show What time is it? My Friends,
It's tea time, big story at the top of the show.
So Bethany Frankel has been boasting that she is going
to bring down Bravo, the house that made her into
a household name. So Ever since Bethany launched her war
(01:32):
on NBC Universal and Bravo, people forget the NBC owned Bravo,
they also own e She has been out there trying
to get other other Bravo celebrities, other reality stars to support.
And now Bethany is bragging that she has signed up
about eighty reality TV personalities and she's going to get
(01:56):
a house after Bravo. It does look as if most
of them. She won't tell us the eighty, but it
does look as if most of them are former housewives.
No one's going to bite the hand that feeds them
right now. All the people that are on Bravo right now,
earning great money, are really happy. They're not going to
be part of this. This is really the club of
people who left a company and are not very happy.
(02:19):
You know, everyone's got it in their job.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Well not even that too. You're kind of late to
the party, Bethany. Okay, like the actors, they have the attention.
This is another housewife move, right if you look at it,
like everybody else has the attention, and it's off the housewives.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Right, It's no lawsuits, so at the moment, it's just
the legal letter. Bethany has teamed up with two lawyers
and send Bravo a letter with lots of horrible, horrible accusations,
including being piled with booze. We've seen that although I
don't need I don't necessarily really think the housewives need
to be convinced to drink. I've been out with them
(02:59):
right bye goodness.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
If they drink, there's been no one.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
There's been victims of revenge. Poor Now that's something I
want to know more about. And also too, they were overworked.
Now what's interesting here is that Bethany tagged a ton
of Bravo celebrities on a post and now most of
them have been reached out to by page six and
they were like, we have no comment, We're not going
(03:26):
to say anything about this. I was just talking about, like,
leave me alone. Has this happened? Somebody in your workplace
is disruntled, They're angry, and they try to recruit everybody
else and you're like, I'm quite happy here, thank you
very not.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
It's like you remember the movie Jerry Maguire when when
Tom Cruise leaves the office like that he's working at
and he takes the goldfish and he's like, who's coming
with me? You know that's Bethany right now? Like, who's
coming with me to sue and be suits?
Speaker 2 (03:58):
They're not coming? Then, not coming. I spoke to my
sources and they said, if she really has eighty people,
she would have named them. Bethany's not the type of
person to keep a secret. So she's got eighty people,
should have them marching outside Bravo picketing right now. I'm
told it's really Bethanye, maybe Nimi Leaks, who already issued
(04:19):
a lawsuit to Bravo and has since withdrawn it. Now
I'm told, wouldn't you bite the hand that feeds you?
Wouldn't you bite Bravo? It's over. So I can make
fun of the Housewives. I can make fun of the
programming if I go after Andy Cohen. If I ever
go after the Bravo executives, they really fight back. I
(04:40):
can tell you that from first hand experience. I do
this for a living garret and so like that. You're
allowed to make fun of the other ladies. You're allowed
to make fun of how ridiculous the show is, but
you're not allowed to bite Bravo.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
No, not at all. And I think I think Bethany's
a little hungry. She's a little first to hear.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
And she's made a career out of being first, and
she's been really successful. Let's be honest here, Let's give
Bethany some props where she deserves it. She knows how
to get attention, she knows how to make it about me, me, me,
me me. And in the past, the fights that she's picked,
she's always been picking fights. But the fights that she's
picked she could win. This is a fight she's not
gonna win. And the implications are huge because, as we
(05:19):
said at the top of the show, she's not just
upsetting Bravo, she's upset in NBC. I saw Bethany on
the Today Show six seven months ago. I don't think
that's gonna happen again. I saw Bethany on E six
seven months ago. I don't think that's gonna happen again.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
You know what will happen And I hate to say this,
but she does very good things. She does amazing things
with her charity. Yes, and this is where she'll use this, unfortunately,
I think to her benefit, where she'll raise a ton
of money for MAUI, which will be great, but then
spin it into the housewives situation. That's my idea, that's
(05:53):
my thought.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
I hope she raised a ton of money for a
great course here. It would be very difficult for me
to really swallow raising money for fired housewives who live
in Beverley Hills like that's something like this.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
She'll use the MAUI platform to transfer it over to
Here's the other.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Thing I'm working on. Although she's getting a lot of
tension for this, going after Bravo and certainly claiming that
she's got evidence of revenge porn. That's stuff that makes
headlines tell us more. I went through the letter and
it's very very light on details. Lots of avations, but
very light on details, which leads me to believe that
(06:34):
maybe here Bethany is once again looking after Bethany. We
want to know what you have to think about all this,
So it's time for our pole of the day. Bethany
Frankel is boasting that she's going to take down Bravo.
Are you team Bravo or are your team Bethany? Hey,
go vote on Twitter page. I think I've made it
(06:55):
pretty clear to our Twitter page, naughty nice rav a
Facebook pageboy Gossip, and be sure to check back tomorrow
to hear your results. Hey, Garrett, what are you working on? All? Right?
Speaker 1 (07:07):
So I'm going to compare this before before I get
to Lionel Richie canceling his show. I went to a
show this weekend outdoors. The Jonas Brothers took over Yanks.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
Day some fifty sixty thousand people.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Fifty sixty thousand people on Saturday night. And if you're
in the area of the Bronx on Saturday night around
the eleven thirty ish downpour, beyond believe. Oh, the Jonas
Brothers still finished the show, a three hour show, no
problems whatsoever. Three hours now we turned to Lionel Richie
(07:41):
him along with Earth Wind and Fire, they had to
cancel their MSG show on Saturday night because of poor
weather conditions. Now, let's just clarify Yankee Stadium outdoors, Madison
Square Garden indoors.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
It's got a roth flyl.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Madison Square Garden didn't have the Jonas Brothers. Yankee Stadium
had the Jonas Brothers with rain, so just to compare.
But here's the thing, so this, this is what was
was said. Due to severe weather and being able to
land in New York and surrounding areas, I'm unable to
make the show. That's what Lionel Richie said as he
tweeted at eight thirty one, and the show was scheduled
(08:20):
to start at seven thirty. That's really doors. But still
he takes the stage, he he tweeted the moment he
was supposed to take the stage. That's just me. I'm
so bunned we are rescheduling the show. Cannot wait to
perform for you. All tickets for tonight show are valid
through for the show on Monday. But but the thing
was people were already there. It was like, are you
going to cover my parking?
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Baby?
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah, you're gonna get my.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Uber really expensive to go to. I hate this when
this happens. And come the day before, Lionel. If I
knew that I was performing at Madison's GUEG tomorrow, I
would get into New York City today.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
That's the private jet life, though, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
I go over and do the show.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
And leave right exactly like Billy Joel Right literally takes
a helicopter and lands on top of the guard walk.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
A little bit different, but doesn't your pilot to somebody
say to you, Billy, I mean they can they have
access to al Roka like the rest of us. You
can watch the weather forecast. Like friends would tell me
my management team if I had a management team, but
hopefully I'd have a great team who would say, Rob,
You're not going to believe this the night of your
show in New York City, Oh my goodness, it's gonna
be crazy rain. We should get the other day before.
(09:33):
And I'd be like, oh, what a great idea.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
But don't don't you think too. It's like walking on eggshells,
you know what I mean, And it's like, hey, we
know this big thing, but we also don't want to
ruin the vibe or.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Tell the bottle. Always tell the boss the truth, because that's.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Like what I know. You always tell the imagine they
did and I get that, and maybe they didn't. He
was just like, no, we'll risk it.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
You're not risking it because it's twenty thousand people, people, celebrities,
some pop stars, actually Jonas brothers are an exception here
and many many others. Some celebrities, some pop stars, have
forgotten that it's because of their fans that they can
afford those private jets and live that life. And the
minute you get too big for your fans is the
(10:15):
minute it is over. I used to work for John
bon Trophy and I'd fly around on their private jet
to concerts, and their schedule was really carefully planned out.
He made that show. All the time I was with John,
I don't think he ever canceled a show. And that's
why he's the legend that he is. He really does
care about those fans.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Don't you notice that this has happened a lot too
between you know, canceling shows or whether like it feels
to me that, like, you know, five ten years ago,
this would never happen, right, you know what I mean? Yeah,
there was more planning and thought into things. I think
a lot of people have just taken like an easy,
(10:53):
lazy way out, Oh we'll just cancel.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah. I don't like it. I know how expensive it
is to go to these shows, and I know, at
least for me, I'm sure for you, Garrett, it's such
a big night. You plan this for months in advance.
You get the tickets months in advance. I'd be absolutely
gutted if I was sitting there. I'd be really angry
if I was sitting in my seat waiting for an
hour and a half and you still didn't show up. Lionel,
(11:16):
I love you, and I love you on American Idol.
I'm not happy with this to day, Lionel. You could
have been our naughties of the day. Okay, moving along,
Billy Porter is slamming Harry Styles again over that Vogue
cover and calling Anna Winter a bh I don't think
you can use that word on the show. So Billy
Porter slammed Harry Styles again after previously apologizing. He told
(11:38):
the Telegraph that he was really upset that somebody who
happened to be white and cute and straight he was
the one that got the cover of Vogue. And he
doesn't blame Harry so much. He blames what he is
calling the gatekeepers. The editor and chief of Vogue is
Anna Winter. Now, Billy has gone on to say that
(11:58):
he did have a meeting with Anna Winter to talk
about all this, and she said, how can I do better?
And he said, you really really haven't. This is complicated
here because some people just think Billy's jealous that he
wasn't on the cover of Vogue, But he's not as
famous as Harry. And what you've got to remember celebrities,
if you're listening girl loa loa Loo, Vogue is a
(12:21):
profit centered business. It's not there for fashion, it's there
to make and the more magazines they sell, the more
money they make. And if you put Harry Styles on
the cover or Billy Porter, one is going to sell
more than the other.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
And so that who would out do Who would out
do Harry? Do you think you're like a Kardashian like.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
A Kardashian, Well that's why I remember for a long
time Vogue wouldn't deal with the Kardashians that were barred
from the met Ball. And then Ana was like, you know,
they sell a lot of magazines, so suddenly she changed
her by so Ada really has been very clever to
swing the pendulum. When she started at Vogue, super much
were on the cover. She didn't have celebrities. No magazines
really put celebrities on. Anna did that. Now she's put
(13:06):
influences on. Now she's put reality stars on. So Anna
knows how to sell magazines, and I don't know here,
I don't know if she owes Billy a cover. There's
no doubt he's changed the rules. Here's a groundbreaking, trail
blazing celebrity. But I don't know if that's enough to
give you a cover of Vogue.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
So two things, And what is this why Billy didn't
attend the metala?
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Or he won't be going again? He's been in the past,
but I bet he's invite gets lost this show.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
And then the other Billy Porter story. I was talking
to my friends over the weekend. How you know he
was talking about the strike that's going on and how
yes to sell his apartment? Is he an actor though
in the situation where he didn't adapt to the current
thing where he pulled back from spending like.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
He lives like Elton John. You're right, it's a lot
of expense there. Billy has become a bigger star, a
bigger name than what he his resume is. So he's
done pose. He did Kinky Boots on Broadway, but he
didn't do Mission Impossible. And Billy leaves large. And let's
point out to Billy's getting divorced. So I wonder if
the house is being sold because of the husband and
(14:12):
what's going on there. So there's more to that that
meets the eye. Hey, quickly, before we get a break,
Brodie Jenner has some news about becoming a new parent.
What's he have to say?
Speaker 1 (14:22):
So, if you know Brody Jenner, his dad is Caitlyn Jenner,
and now that Brodie Jenner is a dad of a
baby girl, he realized that, you know, I'm going to
try things a little bit different. You know, I led
a crazy life growing up, and mostly because of my
dad and who you know was and wasn't around on
(14:42):
any given time. And I'm going to do it myself.
And he goes, I think that is what. I think
that what I'm most excited about is doing things differently
than my father did growing up. I didn't have the
greatest relationship with then Bruce, and Caitlyn wasn't really around
for me growing up. So I think that I'm just
doing the exact opposite of being the best father it
could possibly be and getting ready for the journey that
(15:04):
I'm very excited for. And you know, the Brody just
had his baby about a couple of weeks ago or so.
It's interesting just to and I think we all can
go through this to a time where we look back
and go, I kind of want to be better than
the previous. You know, either you love him or you
don't wherever you're at, but you go, you know what,
I want to try to be better, no matter if
(15:25):
they were or weren't around, I just want better.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
For the next part, Brodie said he wanted to be
a better parent. I get that, we all do. He
said that he wants to be the exact opposite. That's
that's cut in like that is meant to really really hurt,
and I'm sure it has. Okay, we're going to take
a quick break and we will be right back. Welcome
back to the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm rob shoot
(15:47):
him with a friend. Garrett Bogel, Hey, Garrett, let's get
to the polls. Last show, we talked about Harry on
My Grandest friends. Don't trust her anymore now that she's
dating a married man and she shattered the girl code,
is what they are saying. That question was, would you
trust Arie, I'm a grande with your man. Let's have
(16:09):
a look. Seventy percent said no. Once you were with
a married man, I no longer trust you. What do
you think rough. That's a tough one.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Yeah, well you can't under you understand how they vote.
That swayed though.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
I like to give people the benefit of the that doubt,
but that's something that I would be a little careful about.
To get away from my bruise, get away from my garret.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
It's a red flag. Definitely. You don't want to put
that on your rest.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
There you go, Okay, don't forget to vote on today's poll.
Are your team Brother, are your team Bethany? Get away
to it to page at Naughty Nice rob a facebook
page is naughty gossip and be sure to jake back
tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's time for
our nicest of the day.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Ye well r to step back. Let me walk into
the palace because normally you're the you're you're the one
that knows the ends of the palace. Right, well, let
let me take over. Well, I didn't really go into
the palace. I just listened to Sarah Ferguson's new podcast
Tea Talks. Uh by the way, I think she might
have taken that from us.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
But but she she talked about that the royal family
loves to play this game behind closed doors you want to,
you want to take a guess of what board game
if you want to, if you want to take a
guest roger, you have.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
To think it's something like chess with kings and queens involved.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Oh you would think, but that's called real life. They
love to They love to bond over the game of
scrabble around Christmas time. Uh so this is interesting trying
to think of scrabble. Uh, just sitting there because if
you ever played scrabble before with your family or friends,
there's always that word that you question and you have
to break out the dictionary. But like, do you really
(17:54):
question the person that is older than you? And also
the king.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Question in the kid agree they can change whatever they want.
They're gonna win. I love this. I love that they
do normal things. Are nicist of the day. And now
I noticed the day naughty, naughty, naughty, another Royal Mega
marker was spotted out wearing a cashmere shawl and a
camel coat. But it was seventy degrees in California, so
she was wearing over five thousand dollars of unseasonably warm
(18:22):
clothing walking around.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Calibal Warming, global warming?
Speaker 2 (18:26):
What is going on here? Some people think she's looking
for a little bit of attention. Harry is oversea, she
was with her body gone walking around. It's a little
bit strange.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
And it is global warming.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Degrees Megan and naughtiest of the day, but it's gentle naughty. Okay,
let's end with her moment of rob You're gonna ubb
you get a rubie a rab. If you have two
friends in your lifetime, you are luckier. If you have
one good friend, you're even more lucky. For a long time, Garrett,
I didn't think I had enough friends. I can really
count my dear friends on just one hand. However, that's
(19:04):
all you need. All you need is one good friend.
And dare I say that person can even be yourself.
That is it for today. Thank you so much for
listening to The Naughty Bit Nice with Robin Garrett Show,
a production of iHeartRadio. Don't forget to subscribe on the
iHeartRadio app Apple podcast. Wherever you listen, leave us a
review if you can. They really do happen all together.
And I remember, if you're going to be naughty, you've
(19:27):
got to be slash take care of anybody. It's not
even nice with Row
