It's great to be back and in the room and
all on the podcast is Scotty b No, Gandhi and scary.
I see Froggy and beautiful Jacksonville, I see Garrett, and
I see Danielle and of.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Course straight Nate. Uh. Scotty wishes to begin the podcast
with something.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Important, really rolling the dice.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Here, No, not this time, I would like to talk
about inconsiderate assholes, but also on the flip side, what
would you do? Because so on our we had to
take a tour yesterday to kill time before getting back
to the airport in San Juan. So it was a
three and a half hour rainforest tour which was really beauty,
but there was one old asshole on the bus that
(01:03):
was hacking up along the entire time. He was coughing,
flammed the whole nine yards, no mask, nothing. Luckily we
were in front of the bus and he was in
the back. But so if that's you, what do you do?
You cancel the tour? Do you get hotel rooms and
not go back to wherever you spend, Like that could
be a really expensive if you want to be a
considerate person, how do you how would you handle that? Like,
(01:25):
if I was sick, I think I would still get
on the plane.
Speaker 5 (01:28):
I put a mask on.
Speaker 6 (01:29):
Ask I've done it before.
Speaker 7 (01:31):
Where I was we were in we were somewhere and
I was not feeling good before I got on the plane.
I didn't have act I couldn't test for anything. I
put a mask on so that just in case I
wanted to keep everywhere.
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Yeah, I mean this dude, this dude was like no, stop,
oh my no, Like every thirty seconds it was that.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Well, I don't know, traveling, You're never gonna be happy
with everyone you're surrounded by.
Speaker 7 (02:00):
Taking a big chance traveling, well, I.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Mean, I might be sick later in this week. I'm
just giving you fair.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
Thanks and the free COVID. I hated when people would
hack up along behind me or next to me on
a plane. I'm like, oh, come on, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
There were many times we would be flying long distance
and you I'd have someone behind me dying and I
would get the flu.
Speaker 7 (02:18):
You know, I remember this little girl next to me,
throwing up like crazy on my way to England, and
the mom said, oh, it's allergies. Two days later, I
was throwing up like crazy in England. It's not allergies, lady,
not at all terrible.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
I gotta say this trip, the traveling was seamless. It actually,
I'm trying to think of one thing that happened that
was irritating.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
It was. Wow. I think I just, for the very
first time nice took a trip with no ship. That's good.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
My sister is currently stuck in Phoenix. She never made
it back. He doesn't come back from y. Yeah, because
of everything that happened in La with all these snow
and the bad weather. There were a lot of planes
that didn't take off and it got late. So she
was supposed to leave yesterday at like noon and she's
leaving today at five.
Speaker 6 (03:06):
Hopefully did La like shut down from the snow.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
It started? I learned about it, like over the summer.
It snowed in Greece like a year ago, and they
didn't know what to do with shut down islands for
days at at times.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
So I'm sure handle it. Yeah, well you have a quip.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
They're just freaked out, like what the hell is going on?
Speaker 4 (03:29):
Speaking of equipped and handled, I got my balls touched
at security.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
So who touched your balls? Well?
Speaker 4 (03:38):
I don't know what the guy's name was, but he
was very rough.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
Should did.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
So.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
The whole thing is is my daughter Cooper, thought it
would be cool to grab a cupful of sand from
every beach that we went to and bring it back
to spread it to her friends. So she had these
these cups in her bag. I didn't know that they
were in her bag. I thought they were in the suitcase.
And as they went through security, the alarms were going
off whatever, and they pulled the bag aside and they
open it up and they're like, what is this? And
(04:07):
I said, oh, I guess my daughter's bringing sand home,
you know. And it set off some kind of alarm.
So they're swabbing and whatever. And they said, well, since
the alarm went off, you need a full body pat down.
I said, but it's her sand, pat her down. And
he's like, they're like, no, she's a miner, it's yours
because it's in your possession. I was like, all right.
(04:30):
So he's like, would you like to do it here
or would you like to go in private? I said,
well do I have to take my pants down, and
he said no, no, just like that, and I said,
we can do it here.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
I don't care.
Speaker 4 (04:38):
But you know, so I was on full display, arms up,
you know, he's touching everything, ball's ass, thighs, everything. And
then they swabbed the glove. I guess that they touch
you with to make sure you don't have any stuff
on you, right, yep, And you know, so luckily I
was able to go through. But I mean it was
like a fifteen minute ordeal standing there on display for
all disease.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Did they confiscate the sand?
Speaker 4 (04:59):
No, they let us take They tested it, they tested
it and then let us take it.
Speaker 5 (05:03):
It's a type of like eco tourism violation, like aren't
you not supposed to transfer ports?
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Are supposed to take stuff?
Speaker 4 (05:08):
No, you're right, because we did.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
We did.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Also they tried to smuggle coral also in.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
That Oh my god, they put you in the electric
chair if you do, because that's a live that's like
a live thing.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
Right, it's supposed to be bad luck. I mean, I
don't know about all over the place, but it's supposed
to You're supposed to leave the pieces of the land
where you found them.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
Yeah, that was pink and pretty.
Speaker 6 (05:27):
What else did you smuggle home?
Speaker 4 (05:28):
That was it?
Speaker 5 (05:29):
That's it, Scotty, Welcome to my world at the airport.
Happens to me all the time. Yeah, my ball's always
fond of.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
Stopped.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
Oh, not always, but a lot.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Why Yeah, because is it a brown thing?
Speaker 5 (05:42):
I so a couple of my friends think it's a
brown thing. I don't really know what it is. I'm
not going to definitely jump there, but it happens all
the time, and it definitely happens to my dad all
the time too.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
I mean, brown thing is so you do have a
shifty thing.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
I give some really weird vibes. I understand it.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
It's probably all the things you tried to get home.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
You take them, like apples and stuff, porcupine. I saw
some little chickens and they were like, if you can
grab it, it's yours. I'm like, game on.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
You know what I did smuggle home?
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Cereal? What'd you bring back from the Caribbean?
Speaker 4 (06:13):
This is Kellogg's complete with a k uh chocolate. It's
chocolate flavored uh something. I don't know what it is,
but I'm very excited.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
I can't wait to see that on your serial. Killers podcast.
Huh yeah, scary. How is Cabo?
Speaker 6 (06:29):
It was really fun.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
It's beautiful.
Speaker 6 (06:32):
Yeah, it was great. I was, uh, you know.
Speaker 8 (06:34):
We went out on a boat and I guess the
best way to see an area is if especially if
it's near an ocean or a.
Speaker 6 (06:40):
Body of water, is go out and to see it
from the coastline. And we saw whales. I didn't expect
to see whales. We weren't even going well watching. I'm like,
oh my god, this is a bonus. This is great.
Speaker 8 (06:50):
And new whales were and there was a mama whel
and that was like almost doing tricks in the water
with the tail up in the air.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
And then we had a few that were diving up
and down. It was phenomenal. We ate some great food.
It was so cool. I'm so angry though.
Speaker 9 (07:03):
My favorite restaurant was forty five minutes away, and my
friends wanted to kill me because we wanted to I said,
we gotta go to.
Speaker 6 (07:10):
This farm to table place.
Speaker 9 (07:11):
And we traveled halfway up and then the next thing,
you know, traffic. There's a what And that's the problem
with these areas. There's only one road in, one road out,
So you're sitting there in this traffic, and then we
sat there and we never got to the restaurant. I'm like,
oh my god, you guys aren't gonna experience there.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Lots of traffic, a lot of traffic, but anyway, one
road in, one road out.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
That's it.
Speaker 8 (07:30):
But we just relaxed in the pool, had some cocktails,
tried a lot of tequila.
Speaker 6 (07:35):
Oh, they wanted us to drink the worm. You were
saying about drinking the snake in the.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
You don't actually drink the snake because the snake is
like eight feet long.
Speaker 6 (07:43):
So what was in the bottle of tequila?
Speaker 2 (07:46):
It wasn't a bottle.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
It was a big glass jar on the bar, and
the snake's just coiled up in the bottom. And then
tell the tequila's on top, right, and it has some
sort of venom in it. I'm like, well, why.
Speaker 7 (07:58):
Yeah, is the snake alive or because that wasted?
Speaker 8 (08:01):
No?
Speaker 3 (08:01):
No?
Speaker 2 (08:01):
This next day.
Speaker 8 (08:02):
Yeah, So there was a bottle with a worm in it,
and I was like, I'll stay waited, miss, I'm trying
to quit.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
You're supposed to drink the miss guy worm?
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Yeah, the fish in a We're in the area where
we were Prince of Arta and all that area the
tuna and they catch it and then ten minutes later
it's on your plate.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
And the fish was just so good. And you look,
if I'm walking around New York City, I'm not.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Going to buy raw fish next to the dirty Water
hot dog in Mexico, you do, Yeah, you buy your
raw feet. You could buy it right there on a
from a cart on the street.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
But Froggy, of course, was on a cruise the week before. Oh,
Tom Paulmans of the podcast, how.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Are you welcome back?
Speaker 3 (08:49):
It's going to be back Mexico.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
It was great. We're just talking about it.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Yes, browsing. I didn't tend to be at the camera
right there.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
You know how if you walk in during the podcast,
you're now part of the podcast.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Hey, you know what we could talk about?
Speaker 1 (09:04):
What is the friday before we all left for vacation,
we had this incredible event at the top of the
Empire State Building on the eightieth floor.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
We interviewed Pink.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
We talked about her new album, which is unbelievably fantastic,
and she sang a couple of songs. And I wasn't
on the air the next day to talk about it
because we were on vacation. How great was that.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
It was so good?
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Now, how can people see? Is it living somewhere?
Speaker 3 (09:28):
Yeah, it'll be living shortly.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, okay, it's not to have her back, go ahead, right.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
No, it's nice to have her back. Her music sounds great.
You know. I can't believe we've known her since like
two thousand.
Speaker 6 (09:40):
Oh.
Speaker 7 (09:40):
Yes, I remember when I went to the in sync
basketball game that like Justin Timberlake put together, and she
was just coming out on the scene and she had
that short, short, pink hair, and I remember stealing Justin
timberlake sneaker. Different story for another time, and she was
just awesome. She was so friendly then, but she was
so young, she was just arting out.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
It's true, you know.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
Crazy At this year's I heard the words we're going
to give her the I kind of work.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Does she know that yet?
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (10:07):
Okay, so.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
I shall find out she watches the podcast we're going
to have.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
We haven't announced all the other singers that are going
to sing her song her songs, you know what I mean,
like how we did with Helton John right, So, uh,
it'll be good. She's got a big name.
Speaker 8 (10:24):
Some catalog of hits. Yeah, I was just looking through it.
The other day, I'm like, oh my god, this song
and that song.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
I forgot about that one, and.
Speaker 6 (10:32):
Over the course of the past, it's like nineteen ninety nine.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
What I love about Pink is that I was saying
this earlier on the show, is she she has this
courage and she's got balls, man, and you know, she
says some things that you know, some people don't agree
with and make people upset. But I just love how
she is just not afraid. And I think there's a
lesson we can all learn from that.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Yeah, all right, what else I love her?
Speaker 5 (10:52):
Can we have her in?
Speaker 3 (10:54):
You just had her?
Speaker 6 (10:56):
Yes, it doesn't count.
Speaker 7 (10:58):
She was here last week.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
I know.
Speaker 5 (11:00):
I saw the pictures.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
I was like, as soon as we know that when
the interview is a great interview, when when we know
it's up and ready for you to watch, well we'll
let you know where to go get it. It'll be
at something dot com or somewhere.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Good guests.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
All right, guys, all right, it's good. We don't like
twenty years late, I know, but it's as long as
Pink's had a career, you know. For something.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
I know, by the way, uh, straight in eight has
diarrhea from this.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
It's gone.
Speaker 6 (11:34):
You can leave now Tom.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Miss bye Tom. It's always enjoyed at Tom are we
Are we done?
Speaker 6 (11:45):
We're done.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
