Anthony, you had major knee surgery just about one year ago.

You seem to have recovered very nicely. You must be
very pleased with that.

Yeah, I mean, it's not an easy path to recovery.
But now that the season started and things are going
to well, it's a little bit more joyful knowing that
the nie is doing good right now.

What went into that rehab which continues to some degree,
I'm sure because you're a big guy, you put a
lot of pressure on that knee, a lot of weight,
don't you.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yep. I mean, it's just on top of it. Obviously.
The staffs here are doing a great job with me.
Whether it's in the gym, whether it's on the table,
it's getting treatments, giving the knie some love. So yeah,
we're staying on top of it for sure, and hopefully
it keeps going the same way it has been, which

is good. So that's where we're at now.

Speaking of big Anthony, you mostly played on the line
with the Guinny Malkin and Justin Braso. That's three six
foot five forwards. What makes that line work?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
That's a great question. I think from the start of
the season when we got put together, we just knew
what type of player the others were on the line.
Gino obviously wants to play with the fuck wants to
make place happen great pastor for me and bras it's
either at the NetFront or to try and be shooters

for when Gino does find us and to hold on
the bucks I mean, winning our battles down low indo zone,
creating second third chances for us has been working good.

What's the key to reading Malkin?
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Who like people think it's easy to play with the
great player, and it's obviously what you'd prefer, but you
got to really learn what he does, don't you.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
That's a fact. Yeah, Gino's a different player from a
lot of guys around the league, but that's what makes
him so good. Obviously took a couple of games, I
mean just for myself to get readjusted after being away
from the game for ten to eleven months, and then
you get to play with Gino, I mean you kind

of learned his tendencies pretty quick, so that's a good thing.
And then you just need to be ready for anything
out there, you know, whether it's a play he makes
or it happened turnover so quick you need to read it.
I mean, it's whatever it may come. You just need
to be ready. And he's often to play with them.

Now you're a power forward, Anthony, Like I said, you're six'
five and you play that style, too a throwback kind
of who did you take after as a, kid because
there used to be a real good grist group of
power forwards in THE, nhl and now there's not really very.

Played he was so, skilled wasn't necessarily a power, forward
but if we had to choose one power, forward it's

he wasn't afraid of fighting and storing some big hits

feel like we were playing really. Well jersey could have
went either way last. GAME i think our third period
obviously cost us the, game but the first two periods
we were playing really solid. Hockey AND i think the
year is going really. Well so we can be too

down on ourselves and we just need to push back
and learn from our mistakes and move.

Biggest couple of factors to the having a good start

radio stations or any INTERVIEWS i. Had as soon as
you have four guys Like, Maulking Sid tanger And, COULSON
i mean any night they could win the game to.
Themselves and then you add in second and third scoring in,

there and some good goaltending and good, defense AND i
mean they create a really good. Team AND i think
that's exactly where we're at right, now and everyone's kind
of chipping, in and obviously the superstars are being, superstars
so just a team as a, whole everyone's really chipping.

NOW i agree when you say, that you, know hockey
kind of balances. Out but you guys were good over the.

played them for some fairly lengthy.

Strenches, yeah, YEAH i Think the only thing we didn't
do is we didn't bring enough traffic in front of
a very. Goaltender and that's easy to say looking back on.

maybe not there the opportunity doesn't present. Itself but it's

a fast, team if not one of the fastest in the,
league AND i think we held our. Own we played really. Well,
yes some people are going to argue they were missing
a lot of, players but so so did We and

There they're creating the opportunities to win. Games they're getting

the goaltenders to the ability to win hockey, games and
they put themselves in the right place right. Now WHAT
i suffise basically twenty percent of the season mark is
there is a foundation and there's a blueprint on how to,

and so they know what they need to. Do and

everybody seems to be buying, in everybody from the top
