Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the Morning show
this morning.

When we started the show and when Gandhi was doing
her three Things, one of her stories was about what
happened five years ago today, go ahead, fill in the blanks,
and so I want to get into something here on them.

March eleventh, twenty twenty, it became official, they declared a
world pandemic because of COVID nineteen. Everything had not shut
down just yet, but this was the day that they said, yes,
it's officially a pandemic. Within a week from today, the
world had changed completely as we know it.

Yeah, and I'm sure you're thinking about where you were,
what you were doing when you started to have to
stay home, or when you were an essential worker had
to go to work, especially in the hospitals and people
driving trucks and getting things around, and even know who
you are, and we appreciate everything you did and continue
to do. It was about five days later, as Gandhi

was saying that we were told to go home. We
had our little broadcast packs full of microphones and knobs
and wires, go home, and we all said to each other,
see you in a week. It so luckily our essential
our essentials, Nate and Scary and Scottie b and some

members of our engineering team Josh and Jeff. They were
here every single day in the studio to keep us
afloat as we were at home, as we were instructed
to do. So it wasn't easy. We actually had some
fun with all the mistakes we made trying to do
shows in eight different places at the same time, which

is basically what we were doing. I have sound of
March nineteenth. What year was this, twenty twenty, twenty twenty,
and I think you guys were working out of the
light FM studios because.

Somebody spread COVID in the Elvis Duran SHOWO.

They were cleaning the student So we had to go
down to the light FM studios, which we're not necessarily
really very familiar with.

Remember when those industrial cleaners they came in there has
mat supers.

Yes, that wasn't cheap either.

It wasn't and of course, funny enough, we learned later
that that really wasn't the way to.

You wipe down your groceries when you got home, which
was all they say, just wasn't needed. But anyway, do

Oh got us trying to do our show all over

So that's what it sounded like us trying to do
a show. I thought it was kind of funny.

turned into me sounded like Darth Vader. Oh my god,

I'm sure there are a lot of professionals in our
business that would be just just just aghast the way
that we thought it was funny as hell. I thought
it was the best part of the show. But then
there was a day we tried to get Uncle Johnny
on a speaker phone. I mean it was on Facebook Zoom.
We're trying to get on with the zoom.

It's a seventeen minute I feel like that's an edited

It is trying to get Uncle Johnny God Rest his
soul to connect while he was on his phone at
the same time he was trying to zoom on his
laptop or I don't know.

That was That was the day I realized I have
way more patience than I ever realized that. I never
got upset with Johnny. I just I just wanted so
badly to get him on that zoom call. Even though
he was not doing what we told him to do.
He's still doing his own.

that we thought it was funny as hell. I thought
it was the best part of the show. But then
there was a day we tried to get Uncle Johnny
on a speaker phone. I mean it was on Facebook Zoom.
We're trying to get on with the zoom.

It's a seventeen minute I feel like that's an edited

It is trying to get Uncle Johnny God Rest his
soul to connect while he was on his phone at
the same time he was trying to zoom on his
laptop or I don't know.

That was That was the day I realized I have
way more patience than I ever realized that. I never
got upset with Johnny. I just I just wanted so
badly to get him on that zoom call. Even though
he was not doing what we told him to do.
He's still doing his own.

That's just ambient room noise with the station playing in
the background and him trying to figure it out.

That uh, and I was just getting a weird phone
call from a number I don't have, but it was
Erico two to one to two, So I don't know
if that was him trying to call me.

because he's back in New York City. Oh, Uncle Johnny.
But once we get him, it's always radio Gold. It's
always like a lot of fun to talk to Uncle Johnny.
