so please bow down and kiss the ring. So scary,
you know, being from La you clearly didn't grow up
listening to our show.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Why would you want to intern here? What made you
decide that's the show for me? Or that's the internship
for me?

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Hey, I've I've grown up listening to radio my entire life.
My mom did radio in Switzerland. I was not allowed
to touch the dial as a child, and now I
work at my.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
College radio station. Radio is what I care about. I
love being here, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Radio is here to stay, at least until they fire
us anyway. So Leilani Pitau our intern for Josh. You're
gonna love working for Josh. He's he's usually stoned, so.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
So welcome Leilani.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Everyone two the class of twenty twenty five. All right,
Coming up next Diamond as an intern. Dylan Barrett is here.
Where's Dylan?

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Hi? Dylan, how you doing?

Speaker 8 (06:35):
Man?

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Hi?

Speaker 9 (06:36):
Nice to meet you.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Dylan goes to Hofstra University. What are you studying at Hofstra?

Speaker 9 (06:41):
I am studying journalism this semester.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Okay, well, you know, uh, Diamond is the perfect person
who work force for journalism.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
As I say, will apologize ahead of time. That you're
with a Diamond.

Speaker 10 (06:51):
But okay, you're gonna Diamond, Yeah, getting me the rains
a little bit before, so it was already got a
little bit of fun.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Well, Diamond in that little bitty room over there, she
she has a gas problem, just letting you know now.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
The ventilation in there is not all the greatest. Sorry.

Speaker 10 (07:10):
He already had the heated blanket and everything, so it
was I could tell it was gonna be rather really
warm or really cold on sometimes.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
So yeah, so let me tell you a fun fact
about Dylan Diamonds in turn a massive professional wrestling fan.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
Is this true?

Speaker 9 (07:23):
Yes, it is a very true fact of me.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Wow, Okay, So who's your favorite? I mean, why why
do you love wrestling?

Speaker 8 (07:31):
So?

Speaker 10 (07:31):
The big reason I love wrestling is my dad got
me into when I was a kid. He used to
do a radio wrestling show a long time ago before
he started his career in radio, but he just kind
of got me into it. I grew up watching his shows,
bent upon money of shows. So I really loved Sean
Michaels when I was a kid. And last year at
one of our events, he actually spoke at it, so
I got to meet him for a second time, but
as an adult, I actually got to meet him have conversations.

Speaker 9 (07:53):
So wow.

Speaker 10 (07:53):
I just always loved the promotion and always a love
fun it is. It is fun and it's all real
and it's never scripted stripped. Did you see the Royal
Rumble over the week?

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (08:01):
I did.

Speaker 10 (08:02):
I Actually I hadn't made all my college roommates sit
down and watching the I'm big wrestling fans, but I
was like, hey, can someone watch this with me?

Speaker 9 (08:09):
So I had a little bit of a watching party
for it.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
So nice.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Well it's so interesting, Dylan, because Josh, who Leilani is
interning for, is a huge wrestling fan. So just just
follow the pop smoke. You'll find his studio right down
in the hall and you go sit down and talk
about wrestling.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
So there you go. So any questions for Dylan anyone?

Speaker 6 (08:28):
Dylan, what's your dream job after this?

Speaker 10 (08:29):
So for me, I'm a big sports media guy. My
dad run is Jason Barrett. He runs Barrett Media, so
he's kind of kind of grew me a little bit
to be ready to do more sports media work in
the future. So I kind of want to just do
some social media work in sports, just keep learning from
as many great individuals as I can, just hopefully get
a job after your college.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
So your dad, your dad runs Barrett Media.

Speaker 9 (08:50):
Yes, and the son of Jason Barrett.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
What didn't wasn't our show number one on some Barrett
Media list that just came out this past week?

Speaker 9 (08:57):
Yep, number one?

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Did you have something to do with that? You see?

Speaker 9 (09:02):
I knew I would be asked.

Speaker 10 (09:03):
Now, that's just you get a lot of program directors
the right to vote on best morning show.

Speaker 9 (09:07):
But I did at least get to put the graphic
together for it.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
You guys were number one on the Barrett list.

Speaker 8 (09:13):
I know that.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
Now me either, I have another question.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
I have a question, of course. So you got a
Hofstra Do you know Professor Danielle dililo At?

Speaker 9 (09:22):
I believe I've heard the name.

Speaker 10 (09:23):
I don't think I've had class with her, but I
know i've heard, Like, I know the name.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
Yeah, she works here.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
You'll know her.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
You'll know how when you see I'm.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
Always out, so you'll love he'll love dililo What if I,
Dylan Barrett are in turn number three for the class
of twenty twenty five. Welcomemore, tell your dad we said
thank you for the number one spot on the list.
Of course you love that and welcome back. Deanna's intern,
Stephanie Lane is back. Welcome back for another year of abuse. Really,
why'd you decide to come back? Did you love us

(09:53):
that much?

Speaker 7 (09:54):
Yes?

Speaker 8 (09:54):
I love everyone here and I've been told that if
you love all your coworkers and keep doing whatever you're doing.

Speaker 6 (09:59):
Oh okay, that's good, that's good.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Look at that. All right?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Well, Deanna has an intern and she's right here year
number two. Stephanie, Fordham University. We welcome you back. So
do you have any advice for the new interns? I mean,
coming from an intern, I bet you wouldn't have a
perspective that we don't have.

Speaker 6 (10:16):
Oh yeah, hmm, hang out with scary he's cool.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Okay, wow, bad advice already, that's the advice.

Speaker 6 (10:27):
You'll brighten your day. And it's his birthday. So wow?
Did you pay her? No, I said at his desk.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
So that's give us give us a fun fact about
uh will you and Fordham University?

Speaker 8 (10:43):
Well, I work for a radio station at Fordham and
we have people come in and perform with us and
Bbadoobe she's an alternative artist. If you don't know her,
She asked for the American Uni Experience because she's from
Great Britain and she we gave it to her and
we showed her around campus and she was so nice
and awesome.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Look at that.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
So if you need a tour of Fordham University, our
own Stephanie in turn year number two, welcome back. Any
questions for Stephanie.

Speaker 6 (11:10):
Dream job after this?

Speaker 3 (11:11):
What is it? Dream job after this? This is a
good one.

Speaker 8 (11:13):
Yeah, this is kind of niche for me. But I
want to be the producer and host of a reality
TV show?

Speaker 9 (11:18):
You want to both?

Speaker 6 (11:19):
Yeah, it's a lot of her.

Speaker 8 (11:20):
Because I can't decide if I want to be in
front or behind the camera, So I feel like that
would be perfect.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Okay, okay, excellent.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
How often do you go to the Bronx Zoom since
you're at Fordham you're right across the street, I.

Speaker 8 (11:30):
Mean every Wednesday. It's free for us, so I like
to go. Then lucky there you go?

Speaker 3 (11:34):
Okay, perfect, Well, welcome back. It's good to have you back.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Pay.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Do we ask Leilani what her dream job would be?

Speaker 6 (11:41):
No, I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Oh okay, what would your dream job be after college?

Speaker 8 (11:46):
Ah?

Speaker 6 (11:48):
Make music?

Speaker 4 (11:50):
What? Okay? Whatever I can survive on and it makes music.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
It's okay.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
If you can be undecided in college, you can be
undecided after college.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
It's no problem. I'm still undecided. Yeah, we're still trying
to figure it out. That's why we did radio, because
we have no frigging clue what we want out a lot.

Speaker 5 (12:06):
Well, there you go, everyone, the class of twenty twenty five.
We love our interns already. I can already tell Ben's
gonna be the snarky intern. He's snarking it up already.
You're not gonna watch him anyway. We'll welcome aboard, guys,
thanks for coming in. And there you have it, our interns.
I'm so excited to have fresh meat.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
We need fresh meat.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
We have a meeting after so I can tell you
more words you're allowed to say on the radio.
