Speaker 1 (00:00):
We say a good morning too, Jude, Aida and Felicity,
how are we going to good? Good? How many weeks
left to school? Now? What week is it's likely? Yeah?
Like three? Crazy? Do we feel like it's nearly Christmas time?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Ye started getting like excited?

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Do we have advent calendars? No?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Mom doesn't buy them for us.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Finally you knew someone that could?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Are you saying that you like you could buy me?

Speaker 1 (00:32):
I's a good center.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Well it's too late standardize anyone, because.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
It's like we could save it for next year.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Then the chocolate and stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
I'm hearing lots of excuses. Right, you can time trible
and get you one. That's a good idea. Speaking of
time treble, I want to know our little locker room's
thoughts this morning. Felicity, let's start with you. If you
could time travel anywhere, where and when would you go?

Speaker 3 (01:04):
I'd travel to the year two thy two hundred, just
far enough to see how the world has changed.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Wow. Would you visit for a day, stay for a year,
or live in that you know time frame forever?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
I'd stay for a year, long enough to explore fucking
stuck in the future. I don't know the technology that's clever.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Why that time? Why that time? And what would you
do when you get there?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
I want to see how different AI is and how
today's big problems have changed.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Very clever. Who would you want to meet.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Future scientists, creators or future Einstein?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
She's clever. Mine would be like maybe a pop them fus.
Would you change anything or are you just need to
circle all lap and observe it?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Just to observe with the futures? Too risky?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Who put that head on your shoulders? Would you take
anyone with you or anything with you?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I'll take a notebook, camera, translation device, assuming the slang
has evolved widely wildly and something from nowadays to trade?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Okay? And then if you could send a message back
to your past self, what would it say?

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Stop worrying so much? Things work out, take more risks
and trust your instincts.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
You are impressive, felicity. That is very very wise. Is
there one event in history that you would love to
witness firsthand?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
The first moon landing?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Oh? Do we believe it? Yeah? Duh, it's real. What's
the biggest risky? Think your face when I'm trebling.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Accidentally getting stuck in the future.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah, that's fair. If you could bring one thing back
from your time, your year spent in two thousand and
two hundred?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Is that right?

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yep? What would it be?

Speaker 3 (03:16):
A piece of future tech?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
What anything? Anything that will be you know, far anology
for advanced technology. What law or rule would you make
if you were in charge during that era, a.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Global rule ensuring correct use of technology?

Speaker 1 (03:35):
And if you could sneak peek into the future at
one thing, what would it be?

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I'll check whether humanity is finally figured out how to
live without destroying the planet.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Do you know what mic droppers? Yeah, when someone just
like might drop. Do you think Felictener's just done that?

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Do we need a couple of moments to gather ourselves
and then come back with our ideas?

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Jude, no, are you good to go? Yeap? Oh no.
My time travel to about twenty minutes time. So I
can see how that's gonna involve, because in this morning
we have Felicity Ada and Jude. Felicity blew our minds
and imbraced us so much with her time travel to
the year two thousand, two hundred, is it right? Yeah,

(04:25):
And just all of the things that she would like
to see and do and find out and bring back
with her. Now is your turn. Aida. If you could
time travel, where and when would you go?

Speaker 4 (04:35):
I would go to England in the medieval times?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Okay? Would you visit for a day, a year or
live there forever? Would visit for a week? Okay?

Speaker 4 (04:46):
Well?

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Why the medieval times in England? And why a week? Well?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
I think like a day's too short and a year
is like far too So I went with a week
and the medieval times because I am quite interested in
that era.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Okay, what intrigues you the most about it? What would
you want to do as soon as you got there?
I would go and find a witch, okay. And what
would you do once you've found the witch? That's taking
back to my rocket time traveler.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I'd probably take me all week to find a witch, right, so, yeah,
probably just to maybe talk to the witch.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
You want to get them to like make a potion
that could say, I don't know, make your brother disappear
or something.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Like that, I love my brother.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Just an idea, just an idea? Do that to you?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Would you take anything with you to their medieval time?

Speaker 2 (05:51):
I'd take one of those like puffy juices, you know,
you know, puffy like the bull like.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Bridgeton.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, like those.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Juices do they wear them in the MIDDI I was.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Still I want to be a head of the mission
that will be wearing at next century. Yeah. Would you
want to change anything? Or are you just there to observe?

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Am?

Speaker 2 (06:19):
I change the sewage system and like or else they
like before they get the flake?

Speaker 1 (06:27):
You know? Yeah? I do know you are clever as well?
Two out of three a man does it?

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Do? You can't say much?

Speaker 1 (06:37):
I know, I know talking about me? Okay, if you
can send a message back to your past south or
what would it be? Would you have one?

Speaker 4 (06:48):
No?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I didn't really go into that. That's okay. What's the
biggest rescue? Thank you'd face while time traveline.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Changing something where you are because we're going back in time, right,
So if you change something back in time, it could
affect the future and also where you were living in,
what era you were in before you ternship?

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yeah, and so it might throw things out of whack, right, Like, yeah,
changing one thing of history might just really you know,
throw the marble off balance of what it has to come. Okay,
And if you.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Care something, you might not even exist in the place that.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
You came from, you know.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Yeah, all right, do you have any laws or rules
that you would like to make if you were in
charge of the medieval era?

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Not really, because I don't want to change anything or else.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
It might throw it out a ban. Okay. I think
that's a great time travel idea as well. Last, but
certainly not least the young gentleman. It was God has
arms folded and ready to go? Where are we going,
captain dude?

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Norway?

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Norway? Any time era specific.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
In the nineteen fifties?

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Why are we going to Norway in the nineteen fifties?

Speaker 4 (08:03):
The war finished, but I don't think Norway was in
the war, but still it would still be.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Dangerous, okay. And what are we going to do over there?

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Just just meet the locals and stuff.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Shake some hands, kiss some babies. How long do you
want to be there?

Speaker 2 (08:25):
For?

Speaker 1 (08:26):
A week, a month, a year, I'll say at Norway
for a year, in Norway for a year. Yeah, And
so you're going to meet the locals. Are you going
to change anything during that time period? No, just observe.
And is that sort of for similar reasons as philicities

(08:46):
and aidors. Yeah, you don't want to throw anything that
might happen in the future that's already happened in history
of course. Okay. Would you take anything with you you've
got to backpack with Jude's essentials in it?

Speaker 4 (08:59):
Yep, I wouldn't. I would like pack like food, water
and all that other.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Common sense stuff as Jared in your backpack.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
No, not today, not today.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
He's at home. He's sitting in the year in the way,
he's got enough roads on the farm. Yeah, yeah, fair enough.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Right.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Is there anything you would like to bring back from
your time post war in Norway? No, but yeah, you're
pretty good.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
I'd take a few photos of a famous buildings that
have been that will be knocked down in the future.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
So you'd probably take a camera with you. Nice okay,
and then what will you do with those photos?

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Stock them?

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Fair enough? Your own little history book. Yeah, So yours
is just going to be about soaking up, you know,
everything that is Norway post war, chatting with the locals,
seeing the landscape, learning the history, just getting really enriched
and involved in the culture. Yep. Okay. So we can
either go to Norway and the nineteen fifties, the medieval

(10:10):
time and the medieval time in England and all we
can go to the year two thousand, two hundred.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
I won't go to two thousand, no offense, but I
think it would be too It would hurt my eyes
from all the like the screens and stuff.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Probably do you know what hurt my eyes Your face?
So yeah, school time. I was going to say the
medieval swords in the post war Anyway, lovely to see is.
We'll see it all again next week. Bye.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
