quick turnaround for the newly announced changes to vehicle imports
to be law by week's end. The Clean Vehicle Standard
gave importers credits for meeting carbon targets and charged them
if they missed, but the Transport Ministers confirmed they'll slash charges,

Chris Bishop says the urgently protecting consumers following market changes,
and he says they will launch an amendment paper with
these changes to the Land Transport Clean Vehicle Amendment Bill,
which is going through the House this week. The government

drivers have won their battle against Uber to be treated
as employees rather than contractors. The Supreme Court has rejected
Uber's bid for the Court to overturn a twenty twenty
four Court of Appeal ruling. Finance Minister Nikola Willis says

police and mental health will put patients at risk. New

new threshold will help free up officers to do the
work only they can be doing, but Public Service Association
National Secretary Flurfit Simons says mental health workers deserve to
have police support when they judge they need it. She
says the health system is not ready for police to

dangerous for workers and patients alike. The UK Government has
just confirmed major changes to the country immigration system. The
changes are aimed at making the UK less attractive for
illegal immigrants and make it easier to deport them. The
UK Government says the changes are the most sweeping reforms
to tackle illegal migration in modern times. Prime Minister Sir

Kirstarmer says the world has changed to become more volatile
and insecure. Mystery remains over the circumstances that led to
a fatal blaze in one o Vertu Sanson on Saturday
that claimed the lives of three young children and a man. Police,
responding to reports this is a suspected triple murder suicide
