Speaker 1 (00:00):
If it was going to piss down, would you still
go to your batch next week?

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:04):
And then what do you do if it's persing down?

Speaker 3 (00:06):
Wow, it'll My theory is it'll be spring weather, so
it'll pass down for like ten minutes and then it'll
be fine.

Speaker 4 (00:13):
For ten Yeah, you know, so you can go for.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
A little wander around, a.

Speaker 4 (00:17):
Bit of a tottu. Yeah, go in and out, in
and out. Yeah. Have you ever.

Speaker 5 (00:26):
For all you mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast?
Get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube and tik tok
for a targets four to seven every weekday.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
And the only reason, the only reason I asked that
was because I'm not going to waste my time talking
to you guys if it's not been recorded.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Yeah, exactly. Are we recording here?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Recording?

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Yeah? Good shit man?

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Have you ever thought about getting out there with a
metal a metal detector?

Speaker 5 (00:55):
No?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
There can there be some interesting stuff round there.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
What I am contemplating which I haven't done before. There's
a dinghy there, Mogi, but it's a heavy old bastard
it Well, no, it's on a trailer, a little trailer
at your head just at the batch. You just wet
that there's quite a dip down in the driveway and
she's very hard to control.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
But I may try and take that out.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Can you just sit up a camera for that, please.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Because you know it's going to be a disaster.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
It might not be, but it would be a shame
it wasn't captured you. I sort of picture you day one.
You get out there, you're excited, you think, you know what,
it's a beautiful day. I am going to try and
get that trailer out, yes, and then you run over
by your own trailer and killed.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Sore foot, Yeah, it's not so bad today, but it's
still quite so.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
So how come when I asked about playing golf next week,
you said you've got a sore foot?

Speaker 3 (01:54):
I was basing it on my foot from yesterday.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Percentage wise? How much better is it? A?

Speaker 4 (02:00):
One percent? Yeah? Wow?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
How I will die in that scenario out of the
batch because there's a whole wall of rocks right in
front of it, and I often when I've cast out
and I'm bringing it in again, It'll get hooked up
in the rocks and then I go okay, and then
I start sort of stumbling down the rocks trying to
free the free the line from the snag, and I

(02:29):
can see because they're quite loose and they rock and
they do all sorts of things. I can very much
see myself plummeting head first.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah, you can take solace in the fact that that's
how my granddad died really good.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Retrieving a fishing line.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
As a fishman who's at the beach and was walking
on some jagged rocks and that exact thing happened. So
take solace in that.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Well, that freaks me out of it, and he was,
you know, sprite.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yeah, comparatively, This is because the other thing you've got
to consider is when I go for walks on the beach,
my ankles don't like the sand, and so my ankle
sees up after the first day that I'm there, and
so I tend to be very hobby.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
When i'm there because my ankles are all seized up.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
You need more like grease around the bearings of your ankles.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Is that right?

Speaker 3 (03:17):
They're just rooted keysy basically, and I've been told they're rooted.
They don't there's stuff they don't move, so they get
very swollen.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
When do you go to the badge?

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Oh, probably tonight?

Speaker 6 (03:28):
Really, you said you weren't going to Now you are
maybe tonight you know if you're going or not? Yeah,
I'm going tonight, maybe next week. Well it's that thing
of once again trades. Yeah going, Oh Jesus going to be.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Are they're coming on Monday? Tuesday?

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
So it's like, so you go tonight, come back Monday.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Yeah, No, probably Sunday.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
I feel like that's not long enough.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Well we can go back out there. There's nothing stopping true,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Okay, whereas you, Maggie your birthday weekend day?

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Boy, how exciting will be?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Is he just going to be you and your wife
and my kid and my brother in law?

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Right, he's down there and he's a yeah rugby league
going there?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I haven't got a rugby league.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Is your cousin or something someone you always watch rugby
league with?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
No, I can't think of who that is, but will
work that out.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
And the indie indie India.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
He's a I think he's snowboard instructing and white water
rafting he does. Yeah, yeah, rafting must have been about
six months ago. And he got.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Snapped in half.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
He got what he do. He jumped out controlling the
boat something could happen with the boat, and he braced
himself against the rocks in the river, and it exerted
an incredible amount of pressure and he ended up with
a spiral fracture up his shin got him good, said
about a year ago.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
You know, they and they get on the speedboats down
the river and stuff, and they get rid of over
the shutover. I find nothing appealing about that.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
The long the more I think maybe I used to
want to do it, But the more I think about
it now, I go.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Wow, that's God.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Look at That's amazing, isn't it. You know you're five
centimeters away from the rock face? Certain, what's what's good
about that?

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Exactly?

Speaker 1 (05:18):
That's my feeling the whole Achy Big Show wee days
from four on Radio Hurdarchy.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Remember the Warky Big Show podcast. I feel I would
feel better about pretty much everything else, like skydiving or
whatever you name it.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
It's reasonably fun, oh I bet it is, but like
not fucking fun.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
It's reasonable, right, it's not great?

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah, so it's it's it's good. But I've probably done
it about five or six times, just from different stories
I've had to do for work back in the day,
and every time I do it again, I'm late. To
make it more fun is to get even closer to
the rocks. Right'll go faster.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
You're not really into being thrown around, you know what?
I Yeah, you've had and the buttoir that's different, Maggie.
But but the idea of just being sort of tossed
around and nearly dying.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
I can't imagine you enjoyed anything on holiday.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Yeah, I enjoy peace and quiet walk.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
You go for a walk on the beach and your
your ankle sees that, ye go fishing your full head
over heels, lean on your scale, Yet you're run over
by your own dinghy.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
So let's just say right me you Moggie Pugs. And
we went on holiday too Queenstown, all right. We had
three days there and I wanted to go do like
I wanted to go get boating.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Would you go on that?

Speaker 5 (06:38):
No?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
I wanted to Maybe Meggie wants to go up and
do the lousee would you go do that? I do
the lose okay, and the gondolas. I might want to
hire an e bike and just ride around. There's a
cool trail around the lake, okay.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So I'd say no to that, as well, it's fun.
It's kind of right. It depends how fast the e bokes.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
They were real fast, and there's a trail and there's
a few craft breweries and stuff along.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Yeah, teemed. Now we got if you rephrase that and
said do you want to go to the pub then
do you want to go to lots of pubs all
in the row? Yes, and we can ride because that's
what we do.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
We got back to the hotel like steamed just yeah,
that's good right there, and I do the old like
what I want to do. I would do the bungee
jump down there because would yeah, one hundred and fifteen
meters Skipper's Canyon. And the other thing I want to

(07:33):
do is go to that hot that spar joint what's
that the on something on the do that every bars.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
You and me?

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Yeah, I definitely do.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
If you go there there you have to get an
Instagram photo of you, which I know what I know? Yeah,
and leaning yeah, well.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
I might take my backbone budge smoke smugglers down and
can you do.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
One with where you just got your hands on the
sort of edge of the pool and then you're looking
over my shoulder with my back Yeah, like a dragon. Yeah, yeah,
that would be great.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Wasn't like a dragon? Was? And your orthopedic slipper and.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
My slippers and I've never done snowboarding or skiing.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I'm doing that on the Sunday. Oh, go up on
the sunday there. So I'm going to get the daughter
to learn. And the wife's never been skiing, all right, cool,
So those two are going to learn, oh with the instructor.
Brother cool, and I'm gonna, i know, I think me
and the brother again up the hill, okay, and get
a different they'll get a different instructor. It has been
I'll tell you what. It's been a while. I love it,

(08:34):
but it must be God, it's been a while.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
It'll be it'll be over teen, it'll be over ten.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
Everything is sort of a yardstick against how long I've
been with the wife there.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Well, it'd be like when Jay says I played golf
last that was like ten years ago, and then you
realized it's actually over twenty years.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Well, it was a three day three days. We went
to uh, what's it called Cooney and we were into
a house there. There's a whole bunch of us, about
ten or fifteen of us steamed and we got on it.
And on the Sunday, the third day, we should go

(09:12):
up because we hadn't been up at all at this point,
we've just been on the hammer. Yes, And we went
up for about an hour and a half and we're
all completely exhausted and just it is hard yeat and
just went back. Well, also because of what we've been doing.
It was a disaster. It was a great weekend, but
in terms of yeah, just shameful behavior. That is so

(09:32):
similar to when my mates and I was supposed to
do the time that it all crossing. Oh yeah, I've
done that.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Twelve of us gathered at a house in top Or.
We went yeah, but we went to bed at five
thirty and we're getting woke. We went to bed at five,
We're getting woken up at five point thirty for the thing.
And literally I shut my eyes because I so steamed.
And then half an hour out of our mate comes
and Damien knocks on the door and opens it and
he's just like, what do you reckon?

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Tell us?

Speaker 1 (09:58):
And I was just like, I don't think so, man,
And then went to prawn World where you can fish
the prawns and the little prawn like this, I do that. Yeah,
it's boring, you'd love it.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Yeah, God, definitely send us some picks, Maggie, that'd be great.
You guys some pecks too.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
What do you want picks of me doing?

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Lowering the dinghy in?

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Oh yeah, breaking your hand?

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Having said that, Having said that, I don't know how
I'd get it back up the drive again.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
That would be the problem.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
It's a trailer, right, so you use a car.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
I don't have a towbar.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
You can just lean it up against the bat.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
Because the tide comes right up to that car. Yeah, yeah,
sweets so worries.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Hey, Jas, why didn't your reply to my cool funny
picture last night?

Speaker 2 (10:52):
I sent you? Oh?

Speaker 4 (10:54):
What one?

Speaker 5 (10:55):
Was that?

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Photo of Jace's wife and an ad that I get
served every night?

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Right?

Speaker 1 (11:01):
And I was like, spine tangling performance this and you
just left me on scene.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Was it a boat one?

Speaker 1 (11:09):
No, it was a receipts one.

Speaker 4 (11:10):
I've never seen that one.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Interest.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
She's got two auditions today. Incidentally, wow, far out it's
got three heads in the last you know, sort of
six months.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yeah, swings roundabout, So that isn't it?

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Three and six months? That's pretty good going?

Speaker 5 (11:27):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (11:27):
That's good?

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Three as in a year is two years is good?

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Three years if you if you're doing one commercial a year,
you're doing bloody well.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Because I thought, based on my experiences that you're beginning
year no no, no no, that I'm doing really badly.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
You know what you're doing really well?

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Okay, yeah, because my confidence is thanks fellas. I can
always rely on you guys to pick me up. Hey,
lit'ten a hudarchy? Seven?

Speaker 4 (11:54):
You sure recording this Ki?

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah, it's I'm probably going to delete it afterwards as well,
by accident four or even weekdays Radio Hodaki. It's a
big show.
