Kiwi film producer Ainsley Gardiner is back with a new project that speaks to young experiences.
She's been behind plenty of beloved New Zealand classics including Boy, Cousins, Eagle v Shark, The Breaker Upperers, Night Raiders and Waru.
Ainsley Gardiner's new series is Not Even, a comedy depicting several Maori and Pasifika young adults navigating life in Wellington.
"What I loved is that it represented a whole spectrum of young Maori grappling with their own sense of what it means to be young and what it means to be Maori. Let's face it, I'm not in my 20's anymore, but it harks back to a time of being in my 20's and living in Wellington, it was a time I really loved."
Not Even is available on Neon and Prime TV, with new episodes airing weekly.
