Speaker 1 (00:02):
Guess what mango? What's that? Will? We are so close
to the launch of our new podcast, Part Time Genius, No,
I can't wait. So most people know us as the
founders of Mental Flaws. In fact, we should say hello
to the brilliant people at Mental Flaws. Hello, brilliant people
at Mental flass. But we've been itching to start a
podcast and ready to start something new, so we joined
the House Stuff Works family to launch a brand new podcast.
(00:22):
It's a show called Part Time Genius and it starts
June seven. That's right, that's when our first four episodes drop.
This show has our chance to find the answers to
many of the ridiculous questions we've had over the years.
Will we ever live without sleep? How do Ratz keep
out smarting humans? Which personality test should I believe in?
Is cryonics real? These are just some of the questions
will be tackling, and along the way we'll be linking
(00:42):
things that probably shouldn't be linked, like why is James
Bond always hanging out in tax havens? And what pterodactyls
had in common with iron rand By the way, the
answer is everything. They've got everything in common with iron
rands of course, we have zero intention of connecting the
dots alone. In each episode will invite a pair of
listeners to play a game with us. It might be
two librarians from Utah, two part time zoomba instructors, or
(01:04):
even to leisure suit designers named Phil. And we'll be
tapping some of our favorite brains along the way, scientists, comedians, authors,
that's right. In our first episodes will be joined by
best selling author A. J. Jacobs, SNL, writers Treater side L,
the Queen of Useless Robots, Simone ch and mega best
selling author John Green, among many other smarty pants. So
tune in each week to learn whether you should be
(01:25):
washing your bananas you should, whether freezing your body is
a better value than freezing your head it isn't, And
why the mona Lisa used to be a whole lot harrier.
She was kind of a eddy. I don't worry. We're
going to follow the advice that my ninety year old
mamma left me on a recent voicemail. Here she is Will,
This is Mamo. I am calling to wish you and Mango,
(01:47):
my precious little geniuses that are so sweet and mass
and can just do everything I think and I am
so happy that you're doing the and just stick to
it and everything's going to just go perfect. Okay, Mamma
(02:08):
loves you a lot and you've always be sweet. Now,
okay say later by Man. Mamma's the best, So be
sweet and find us on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Spotify,
or wherever you get your podcasts, and be sure to
subscribe to Part Time Genius to never miss an episode
