Speaker 1 (00:01):
Being here right now in this moment, I am so
unbelieving happy. This is something I've never done. Um, I
don't even think I've thought about knowing it, So the
fact that I am doing it, it's pretty exciting. And
hearing my echo is really exciting. Hi, I'm telling Fagan
and I'm Kathleen Cillian and we're the host of The
Question Booth. The Question Booth is both a real place

(00:23):
and the name of how soft Work's latest podcast. Each week,
strangers come into our booth here in Atlanta, Georgia and
answer a big question like why are people mean? Or
what childhood memory shaped your world. Their answers are often
surprising and enlightening. I just feel like if everybody took
the time to step away, even for five minutes, every

(00:43):
single day and just enjoy an ice cream, it could
just make the world such a better place. I think
my parents the goal was always that they wanted to
give us roots so we could fly. See. My theory
on most of this is that there's way less meanness
than you think and a million times more laziness than
you think. So now that you've heard a little from

(01:05):
the participants, we'd like to tell you about the booth itself.
The Question Booth is a quiet, inviting space that lives
inside one of Atlanta's largest buildings, Pont City Market. The
building is filled with restaurants, offices, and apartments. On the weekends,
it can be pretty loud and hectic, but the booth

(01:26):
is a refuge. Strangers wander in, put on the headphones
and just have a chat with me. We're taking all
their answers, searching for a common thread and finding ways
that we are more alike than different. Will also be
speaking to someone with a lot of experience on each
week's subject. We're super excited to share the show with you,
and we hope that you'll join us. We'll be dropping
our premiere episodes soon, so make sure to subscribe on

(01:48):
Apple Podcasts or your favorite podcatchers so you don't miss it.
We'll talk to you again shortly, but until then, see
you in the Question Booth. They can people get out?
Can you get out of the book
