Judy is known for her work fighting the New York Board of Education and organizing sit-ins in 1977 fighting for legislation that ultimately led to the Americans with Disabilities Act. Judy’s activism was highlighted in Netflix’s, Crip Camp, which was just nominated for an Oscar. As International Women’s Month comes to a close, here are two extraordinary women who have fought for increased accessibility and visibility of disabled folks across the globe.
