time to shine a light.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
And you know, I'm fresh.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Out of la at the Gracie Awards and I wanted
to shine a light on somebody who While I was
on my way to the red carpet, I ran into
her and I was like, at a loss for words.
Felicia Rashad, Oh wow, she was there. And when I
tell you, I had just watched you know, I told
you I watched The bee Keeper and she's in that movie.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Yea, I saw that.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Man, My heart went out to her.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
The first thing I thought when I saw her was like, oh,
don't do it like I was thinking about that, but
you know, just thinking about her extensive career. You ever
run into somebody and been at a loss for words?
And she looked right at me, she.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Was like, hey, how are you?

Speaker 4 (02:48):
I was like, how are you doing? You know, congratulations?
I didn't know what to say. I felt so goofy,
So what did you say?

Speaker 6 (02:57):
That?

Speaker 7 (02:57):
What?

Speaker 3 (02:57):
I just said?

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Hey, how you do a congratulation? I spoke, but I
wanted to say a lot more. But then I also
didn't want to be annoying you.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Having a loss of words.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
It's like, I know, I just feel the ship for shot, though,
I mean, I think most people would be like, oh
my god. Because I also didn't want to do too much.
It's like the publicist is right, there with her. You know,
I don't want them to be like back up. So
it's like, let me just say he but shout out
to her. She looks amazing.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Her speech.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
When you hear her talk, it's very captivating. You can
hear the theater in her voice. All right, well that
would shine a light from me. Now, who do you
guys want to spread some left to eight hundred nine
fifty one fifty Brian.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Who you want to shine a light on?

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (03:34):
My girlfriend, my wife, Lady Karl's raising three of my sons.

Speaker 8 (03:38):
She's an amazing woman.

Speaker 9 (03:39):
I just want to sign a light on it for
doing her saying, staying positive, being strong, just being the
perfect partner from me, that's what's up?

Speaker 3 (03:46):

did y'all do for Mother's Day?

Speaker 10 (04:02):

Speaker 8 (04:03):
Lives of whatever? I took it at my mom house.

Speaker 9 (04:05):
They had dinner there.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
This is really cool.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Everybody was killing that's nice. Yeah, that's good man. That's
a good guy. Man. Shine a light on you, no, man,
you solid god man.

Speaker 11 (04:17):
I respect that that's all you do.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Those he's driving to get to where you are.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yeah, man, you you my inspiration.

Speaker 7 (04:26):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Appreciate that, all right, thank you for calling. I love
you too. All right. Well that was shine of light.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
And of course it's eight hundred ninety fifty if you
couldn't get through when we come back, we have your yet.
And Cassie has released a statement. We'll tell you what
it is that she has to say. Sending much love
and light to Cassie as well too. Man, this has
created so much conversation, all right, it's way up.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
In the rooms, from industry shade to all the gossip house.
Angelus is feeling that.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
It's way up by Angela. Yee manos here No man.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
He's behind the scenes conversation Needa's own shop. Okay, let's
get into this et though. Cassie has released the statement,
thank you for all the love and support from my family, friends, strangers,
and those I have yet to meet. The outpouring of
love has created a place for my younger self to
settle and feel safe now.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
But this is only the beginning. Domestic violence is the issue.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
It broke me down to someone I never thought I
would become with a lot of hard work. I am
better today, but I will always be recovering from my past.
Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to
take this matter seriously. My only ask is that everyone
opened your heart to believing victims the first time. It
takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out
of a situation that you were powerless in. I offer
my hand to those that are still living in fear.

(05:50):
Reach out to your people, don't cut them off. No
one should carry this weight alone. This healing journey is
never ending, but this support means everything to me.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
So that's our first statement and only statements so far
since everything has happened. And she's right, a lot of
people were really defending Diddy right until this footage came out.
And then this footage came out and people did a
whole one eighty and talked about how awful it was.
But before people had a lot of empathy toward Diddy,

(06:19):
and people were definitely saying things, you know, about how
we can't judge it did He was also saying that
this was all a lie and that he hadn't done
anything wrong and you know, time will tell and things
like that.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
And time did tell how do.

Speaker 11 (06:33):
He spoke about it earlier and just said, man, there's
some things that happened that I'm not proud of.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
This would be better.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
I think that the footage would still be awful, but
at least we wouldn't look at him and think he's
a liar, because when he put out that video crying,
you previously said you didn't do anything. So now it's like, Okay,
are you sorry? We don't believe you're sorry because you
only are saying this because we saw the footage. Got
it all right?

Speaker 12 (06:59):
Now?

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Fifty cent says that Netflix won that bidding war. You know,
he is doing his documentary and a lot of different
It's real, a lot of different networks and stream platforms
had a bidding war, they're saying over this documentary. It's
a multi part docuseries about Ditty's various sexual assault allegations,
and it's kind of a surviving Diddy documentary. He has

(07:19):
been talking about this since last November, and I'm pretty
sure that we're going to see a lot more things
coming out and they have been. For instance, this woman,
Chrystal McKinney, she's a model. She's suing Diddy for allegedly
drugging and sexually assaulting her in two thousand and three.
She was only twenty two years old, and she did
keep those clothes Unwasheddy's crazy that she wore when this happened, allegedly,

(07:41):
so Christal McKinney. And you know this was filed in
New York, so we can see that there are a
lot of people coming forward. Another person who has spoken
out as Shaka Khan's.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Daughter, Yeah, I saw that.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
She said that Diddy got all up in her mother's face,
and she left a comment you know as well under
Ditty's apology video, like Okay, I don't feel bad for
you after everything that you did to my mom. Who
gets up in Shaka Khan's face, But she said, I'm
glad this is happening to you. You got in my
mother's face and publicly disrespected her, yelling and screaming like
a lunatic. When my little brother tried to get you
out of my mother's face, your security jumped my nineteen

(08:15):
year old brother. These may be your dark days, but
I'm singing and dancing watching your demise.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
You know, people are not really in your corner.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Rooting for you, And we have a lot more to
talk about, and I know that we'll be doing that
this morning because Missa Hilton, who is Justin's mother, has
also spoken out and will tell you what she had
to say. Mace had some things to say, and we'll
tell you about that later. But in the meantime, let's
get into about last night when we come back, and
we also want to hear from you guys this morning,

(08:43):
but we'll get into that later too. I mean, there's
so much we gotta discuss about last night. Though, back
to some positivity, we're going to talk about the Gracies.
We did win a Gracie for Way Up with Angela
Yee and so let's get into its Way Up.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
So about last night, Yes, I went down.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
Everybody, get your speech is ready.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
It's Way Up with Angela Yee and we won a
Gracie Award, all of us. We won a Gracy Award
with all this hard work for Way Up with Angela
Yee from mid Day Show.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Okay and everybody.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
They didn't do it, like a lot of people didn't
get to get up there and give a speech, but
we did shout out to ellen Ka and to Gandhi
from you know, from Elvis's show. And so here is
some of what I have to say, and you guys
all get to give a speech.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Dan, can you speak into the mic. I'm speaking, yeah, yeah.
What are you saying to me right now?

Speaker 13 (09:35):
I'm saying you should give your speech.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
I'm not going to give the whole speech because it's
a little too long, But basically what I say is
people thought I was crazy when I left the breakfast
club to launch my own midday show. Why would you
leave mornings to do mid day? But a lot of
times you do have to take a risk and cancer
out all of that noise to be able to create
your own and curate your own content. And I also
think right now, we talked about Cassie earlier, it's really

(09:58):
important to hear women's voice is on these topics, right,
you know, because I don't think people can understand when
they say things like why didn't you say something when
it happened?

Speaker 3 (10:07):
Why didn't you do this? Why didn't you leave?

Speaker 4 (10:10):
And so for us to be in a position, for
me to be in a position as a woman to
be able to bring that side when we see things happening,
to not always hear all these men's voices.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Is this what you're saying to me, or is this
what you're saying on your space You're saying.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
I'm giving you all a different speech here, okay, And
I do want to thank everybody who has been supportive
of the show and people who also push me to
be uncomfortable where I'm at, and also to encourage people
to leave even when things are up. People are like
you're in the Hall of Fame with the Breakfast Club.
Things are going so well, that is the best time
to go and start something on your own, you know

(10:45):
what I mean?

Speaker 2 (10:46):
When things this is the speech. Yes, okay, I like
that speech.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
You know when you're playing on these tables, when you
playing black jack, good speech.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Don't wait till all the chips are gone.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
To your chips are all the way ye. On a
high note, catch out baby now may no is the
award for you.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
This is my speech. Man.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Shout out to the hurt, Oh my gosh, shout out
to the homies.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
You know we did it, baby Brooklyn, you know, shout
out to my baby. You know we did it.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Okay, that was my speech. Isn't a teleprompter? I read that,
Dan Our producer.

Speaker 13 (11:26):
On a more serious note. No, I'm Okay, uh no,
Super thankful for my parents. They're they've been supportive of
this journey.

Speaker 7 (11:34):
Uh.

Speaker 13 (11:35):
You know, a lot of work goes into this, getting here,
getting this position, A lot of work goes into it,
long hours, long days, had to miss a lot of
family events, a lot of parties, a lot of things
that you couldn't go to. Super thankful for my fiance Reader,
she's my piece, she's my backbone. And Angela, I'm super
thankful for you. You're amazing to work with. You're tertable
at your job. You know my life. Let make my

(12:01):
life easier and our communications on point, and I genuinely
appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
Oh Dann, that was a nice.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
I think because I really don't be responding to text. Okay, Navy,
now you give your speech?

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Yeah, what's your speech?

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (12:12):
All right, Well, first and foremost, thank you.

Speaker 1 (12:14):

May the whole team is here, Way up at Angela Yee.
And we did win a Gracie for Way Up with
Angela Yee from midday, so shout out to all of us.
Dan gave a very serious speech. But now we want
to hear your acceptance acceptance speeches. You know a lot
of times we don't get credit for things that we're
doing in life, and I want to give everybody their

(13:27):
flowers today.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
So call this up.

Speaker 4 (13:28):
Yes, with your acceptance speech. Eight hundred two nine fifty
fifty Kress we're ready for your acceptance speech.

Speaker 8 (13:35):
I want to just thank all my friends and my family.
I recently joined the military six months ago, so I'm
not in New York.

Speaker 7 (13:42):
No more for us.

Speaker 8 (13:43):
Definitely thanking all my friends and family that have supported
me on this journey. You know, I'm a little older,
so I just thought a little later in life to
do this nice. So definitely thankful for all the people
that you know, keep me together.

Speaker 14 (13:54):
While I'm away from New York.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Where are you.

Speaker 8 (13:59):
Right now? I'm in Tennessee. Yeah, I just got here
two weeks ago.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Okay, for the.

Speaker 8 (14:02):
Past six months, I've been in Texas, I've been in
South Carolina, so you know, it's good to still be
able to listen to some of that New York culture.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
So you're in the army, Yeah.

Speaker 8 (14:11):
I'm in the army.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
Well, congratulations and thank you for all the service that
you have. To make sure you take advantage of all
those benefits that you get when you're doing I'm.

Speaker 8 (14:20):
Doing this to finish my master's program, so because you know,
it gets way too hard to afford it.

Speaker 7 (14:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (14:25):
Now, people got to understand there's a lot of benefits
of buying a house. Like you said, education, getting all
of that. So but we thank you for your service.
That's not an easy thing.

Speaker 8 (14:34):
Thank you so much, Angela. I really appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
All right, thanks for calling.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
All right, have a good day, Jens. Yes, we want
to hear your acceptance speech.

Speaker 7 (14:44):
Is I'm met main though on my I work on
the New Jersey term pipe.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Oh I think.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
He told me about you.

Speaker 11 (14:53):
Yeah, so this is this is this the woman that
I had that conversation with at the toll.

Speaker 4 (14:59):
B Yeah, you really left an impression on man. Know,
he definitely told me that he met you and had
a whole conversation with you.

Speaker 8 (15:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Well, let's hear your space.

Speaker 7 (15:08):
So I just so appreciate women like you. You know,
you stepped away from the breakfast club to have your
own power, and I admire you so much for that
because now I hear you. I didn't hear you before, right,
Women so need that exposure. And you look at the
ditties and the Epstein and the wire things and what

(15:31):
they've done to women in this world, and you are
that voiced miss.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Well, thank you and I want to celebrate you.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
So can you tell us what you have going on
that you are proud of, that you want to thank
everybody for who you would think.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
Well, I'm proud of the press that I sustain in
a company that parks on women, and I'm the only
voice in that company. I've been violated sexual froe time
for the ditty stuff.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
It's triggering.

Speaker 7 (16:04):
Yeah, it needs to be exposed. My card has been
vandalized several times. Wow, because I won't set up.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Oh my god, I didn't ask you.

Speaker 7 (16:14):
Yeah, but I keep them so hard because of people
like you. And God, believe me when I tell you.
I'm going through the mill right now because they flattened
my tire and I didn't realize the air out of
my tire until I got on the New Jersey turnpipe
driving next to a tractor trailer. They could have cost
me my life, right, But I keep strong when I

(16:39):
sit and listen to you every day, the positivity because
I'm trying to get away from what I'm doing working
for the companies and I have no good intentions for women.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Oh my gosh, listen, is there any way that we
can support you. We'll talk. Let's talk offline.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
But I appreciate you so much for having the strength
to call us up today and express yourself.

Speaker 7 (17:00):
Okay, I appreciate that.

Speaker 12 (17:02):
Really, I'll do all right.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
Hold on, we're gonna make sure whatever we can do
to be supportive. We want to make sure we.

Speaker 7 (17:07):
Do that, all right, thank you?

Speaker 3 (17:09):
All right? Hold on, all.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
Right, well, listen, you guys, keep on calling us up.
Even if we can't take your call right now. We
would love for you to leave a voicemail for us
to play during the last word eight hundred two nine
two fifty one fifty. We want to hear your acceptance speeches.
Who you're grateful for, what you're grateful for, your accomplishments.
Eight hundred two ninety two fifty one fifty. When we
come back, we have yet and let's talk about this

(17:30):
Apple Music Top one hundred albums list.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
We want to see what you guys think.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
By the way, love the fact that this has really
affected the sales for Lauren Hills.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
She was number one, in case you didn't already know.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
But we'll discuss the rest of the people who are
on that list and how that has impacted. Lauren Hill's
miseducation is way up.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Sure she's about to blow the lid above this pot.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Let's get it.

Speaker 5 (17:50):
Oh yeah, angelus feeling that yee te Come and get
the tea.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
All right, it's way up on Angela. Yee manos here
no mane. And we're talking about.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
Apples Top one hundred Albums Apple Music. They put out
their list and the top ten came out. Everybody has
arguments about what they feel like deserve to be on
this top one hundred list. Right here behind the scenes,
our board up Navy was saying that he didn't think
artists should make the list twice.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
But it's albums, not artists. You know, you can't.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Yeah, I can see why certain albums because some artists
have more than one classic.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Album, right man, who's on there twice?

Speaker 4 (18:26):
Beyonce, Yeah, Beyonce's on there twice. And I'm gonna tell you.
Number one on the list is Lauren Hill with The
Miseducation of Lauren Hill.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
That is number one.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Well, that's over Thriller, over Thriller.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
And some people were saying, I love Thriller. I mean,
you know, these lists are subjective. Everybody is not gonna.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Happ right everybody. This is somebody's opinion.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Yeah, these are yeah, And so number one was Lauren Hill,
Number two was Thriller. Number three was the Beatles with
Abbey Road, And it's hard because it's all these different
genres too, you know, like I don't know that album.
But number four, which would be on my top ten,
Prince with Purple Rain, Yes that you know, it's number five.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
I love Prince that album right there.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
Frank Ocean Blond is number five on the list. Yeah,
number six.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
I'll scratched that you would, Yeah, all right.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Number six is Stevie Wonders Songs in the Key of
Life Classic Album. Number seven Kendrick Lamar a Good Kid,
Mad City. Number eight Amy Winehouse Back to Black. I
do love that album to this day. I still will
listen to Amy Winehouse's album. Number nine is Nirvana Number
never Mind. So number ten is Beyonce with Lemonade. So

(19:38):
other albums that made the list. Doctor Dre's The Chronic
was number nineteen. Kanye My Beautiful, Dark, Twisted Fantasy, a
Tribe called Quest, the Low, and Theory, Biggie Is Ready
to Die, Nasa is el Maatic. Those albums all made
the top one hundred Listen.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Jay Z on their.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Jay Z The Blueprint was number thirteen, so yes, he
is on that list too. But I mean, these things
always create arguments, always create discussion. Jamain Dupree was upset.
You know, he thinks that R and B was disrespected
on this list. He said, albums that inspired a generation
to want to create more music. And he was on
TMZ Live and here's what he had to say.

Speaker 9 (20:15):
You know, I feel like it's disrespectful.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
I'm not even gonna use the word slight respectful to
the genre of R and B because none of those
people are represented on this list.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Diana Ross is not on this list.

Speaker 9 (20:26):
Is not on this list.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
My great friend Mariah Carey, she's not on the list.

Speaker 11 (20:29):
I'm just saying the genre of R and B seems
like it was very much left off this list.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
I will say Jodasy Jodas is not on him, not
on that Forever My Lady and Diary of a Mad
Band between. I did not see Mary Day please, but
I'm not going to say she wasn't. But it's one
hundred on here, so I don't know everybody that's on
the list, but I didn't see that on there. So yeah,
it's hard, though, you know, to make a list like this.
All right, And eminem fifty cent and more earn a

(20:57):
new documentary about music piracy and Paramount plus share the
trailer it's called for It's called How Music Got Free.
It's a two part documentary executive produced by Eminem and
Lebron and it has testimony from Eminem fifty cents Stiefstaut
are the people talking about the chaotic era that put
music piracy in the national spotlight.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
We have that trailer for you.

Speaker 11 (21:18):
The music industry had always been really concerned about piracy.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
People just started ripping music and sharing it.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
All that works, writing it, recording it, tweaking it. Now
these songs week and I'm like, we're blaming our friends.
Get off my phone.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
First I was like, I'm gonna take just one and
that's it.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Did Mary j Blind?

Speaker 11 (21:43):
I like that because they got the actual people that
actually took the music. Yeah, took it from the plant.
It was actually uploading it.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
That was a wild time.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
That was crazy.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Remember that. All right?

Speaker 4 (21:53):
Well that is your Yet when we come back, we
have under the Radar. These are the stories that are
not necessarily in the headlines. They are flying on the radar.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Is way up.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
No news this in the news that relates to you.
These stories are flying under the radar.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
All right, it's way up. It's time for under the radar.
You know it's a holiday weekend coming up right, man.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Know absolutely, and I've.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
Been a lot of weather issues, like across the country.
I know right now in New York the flights are grounded.
I know we've seen some tornadoes, We've seen some severe weather.
So I just want to warn everybody now get to
the airport.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Early.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
I saw Amtrak was having some issues with power being out,
so I know it's going to be a mess this weekend.
I'm just telling you all right, now, save yourself the trouble.
If you can bring carry on, do that because that's
also some of the delays. All right, Well, let's talk
about what's going on with Live Nation and Ticketmaster.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
The US Justice Department and a group of.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
Thirty states and dc sue today to break up Live Nation.
They argue that Live Nation and Ticketmaster illegally inflated concert
ticket prices.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
And also hurt artists.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
US Attorney General Mary Garland said it is time to
break up Live Nations. People have been calling for a
re examination of Live Nation's purchase of ticket Master that
happened back in twenty ten, and after they botched sales
for Tail the Swift's first content tour, in years, customers
were being charged prices they said were too high, they
said it was poor service. So now they're saying that

(23:15):
Live Nation relies on unlawful anti competitive conduct to exercise
its monopolistic monopolistic over the live event industry in the
United States at the cost of fans, artists, smaller promoters,
and venue operators. So this all happened today they filed
for that. And the thing about Live Nation. We did
our lip service live tour through Live Nation also, but

(23:37):
they also own a lot of venues, right, so a
lot of the venues that you go.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
The monopoly.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
Yeah, it is definitely like a monopoly. It makes it
really charge that promoters.

Speaker 11 (23:46):
You get popcorn feed, soda feed, parking lot feed, usher feed,
you got all these other fees they get that's on
top of that bill.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
All right, well, there you have it.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
And they said also ticket Master retally against stadiums and
arenas that opted to use other ticketing companies and so
imagine it's Live Nation, ticket Mester plus their own venues.
All right, Well that is you're under the radar. We
got the way up mix at the top of the hour,
we got asked yee on the way with the award
winning advice giver, No mayno, and a whole lot more.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
It's all about you. It's way up, just like the
talk like they and Jeli Jane like they, Angelie Jean Man.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
She's spilling it all.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
This is YEATI way up. It's way up.

Speaker 4 (24:28):
Amngela yee manos here no mana and earlier in Yet
we didn't get a chance to talk about other things
regarding Diddy. We talked about Cassie's statement, We talked about
Shaka Khan. Well, let's talk about what Misa Hilton, who
is the mother of Ditty's firstborn son, Justin, had to
say on social media. She said, I'm heartbroken that Cassie
must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart

(24:50):
goes out to her. I know exactly how she feels,
and through my empathy, has triggered my own trauma. These
young people were raised by women that want the best
for them. We put God in education first. I've always
been united in our mutual effort to support their dreams.
Two of the youngest do not have their mother here,
and it has been our duty to support them. Their
father needs help, and I am praying that he truly
does the personal work and receives it.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
Then she posts on his story.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
When you finally learn that a person's behavior has more
to do with their own internal struggle than you, you
learn Grace, and it feels like she's been through it.

Speaker 7 (25:23):
Now.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
You know that Ditty's former bodyguard, Jean Deal, has been
speaking out.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
You've been talking for twenty years.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
About Ditty's abuse toward women, and he talked in this
you know, also about kim Porter's death and he wants
that reevaluated so she can rest in peace. And then
with these comments that Misamid made, a lot of people
were saying that she also was abused by Ditty.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
Well, here's what he had to say about that.

Speaker 10 (25:45):
When I first heard of prough violence towards women, he
thought Mesha was dealing with Eric Sermon and he beat
her so bad she was trying to get away from him.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
She had to crawl up under the car.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
And that was on the art of dialogue.

Speaker 4 (26:01):
If you want to watch all of that all right,
Another person who has not spoken out is Mace, And
clearly we know that Mace and Diddy have had their issues,
right may no, Well, yeah, here's what he had to
say and.

Speaker 5 (26:14):
I'm shaving my takes for the documentary and how I
feel is coming soon?

Speaker 12 (26:20):
Pause?

Speaker 3 (26:21):
Why did he have to pause?

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Coming? Well?

Speaker 4 (26:24):
Anyway, Yes, So I'm sure Mace has a lot to
say because he's been really vocal.

Speaker 3 (26:29):
I mean, he even became a preacher after all.

Speaker 11 (26:31):
Of that with that crazy I almost forgot about that.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
How do you forget about that?

Speaker 7 (26:37):
All? Right?

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Now?

Speaker 4 (26:38):
Another thing that has happened is Joe Button and to
hear he have traded shots over domestic violence. And you know,
Joe Button had some things to say on his podcast
about Diddy. Initially they had done an episode where they
spoke about it, but they said the news broke and
the video broke while they were recording, and so they
kind of shelved that and then came back to it

(26:59):
to release more.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
And here is what Joe Button said. That was almost
unbearable to watch.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
I'm certain that that was triggering for a lot of people,
a lot of people that saw it.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Man Joe Well to Harry then said, f h who
the irony?

Speaker 3 (27:14):
This is so triggering.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
I remember Joey throwing me down a flight of stairs,
dragging me back into the house, and me having to
talk him into letting me go. And then he responded
and said, you are a lying filled gold digger that
has abused, targeted, and manipulated many men outside of me.
You lack an identity, which is why you've tried desperately
to attach yourself to me for over fifteen years. The
last time I saw you, I purchased the matters from you,

(27:37):
and you were happy, you made the sale. You were fine.
Then there was that night after start. He really over
explained now, but anyway, he said, prayers to all real
victims to Harry. Then came back and said, you can
say whatever you want about me. Those that know me, No,
I'm not scared of you anymore. You can keep bullying
and intimidating the rest. Those that know you and are

(27:59):
around you also know the truth, said that they continue
to enable your behavior.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Your time is coming.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
You know another person that was really vocal was Rocky Thunder.
If you recall, she was on Love and Hip Hop
with So she was his friend, right, Yeah, she was
his friend on the show and they had it out
and she, you know, even back then, was saying that
he dragged her and all these violent things happen, and
she went on social media and said, we can start
by admitting that the storyline was made up by the

(28:27):
three of us and meant to go smooth. She's talking
about herself and to hear and Joe button, she said,
but the camera life got too hot and egos flared
and knives got stabbed through undeserved backs, specifically mine. But
I'm an emotionally intelligent woman. And then she goes on
to say, can you hear me now because she feels
that she's been speaking about this but people haven't been listening.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
To She's saying that he put hands on her.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
Yes, and she said that even before, so it's not
a new thing. All right, Well that is your yeat.
And by the way, shout out to Cardi B, Meghan Stallion,
and Glorilla seeing that three of them on stage for
their New York City performance with Meghan the Stallion on
her Hot Girl Summit's tour.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
What's amazing.

Speaker 4 (29:06):
And they have also teased a new collapse together, so
that's really really dope.

Speaker 3 (29:10):
Congratulations to them.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
It's way up, okaybody sence, Women's relationship with Koreer Advice,
Angela's dropping facts.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
What's up? His way up at Angela?

Speaker 4 (29:22):
Yeah, I'm Angela yee, and I'm here with the award
winning Advice giving award may now and we have asked
ye with Kat on the line, what's up?

Speaker 3 (29:30):
Cat?

Speaker 7 (29:31):
Hey?

Speaker 12 (29:31):
And I'm good.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
How are you good? What's your question?

Speaker 8 (29:36):
So?

Speaker 12 (29:37):
I'm asking for dating advice because I'm on the app
so being settled for blind dates and everything. It's just
when I get in person, I'm not having any chemistry.
So what should I do too?

Speaker 3 (29:53):
So the chemistry is here before you meet up in person?

Speaker 12 (29:56):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (29:57):
And how long are you talking to people before you
meet up?

Speaker 12 (30:00):
I would say like a week, three or three days?

Speaker 4 (30:03):
Okay, you know what I think? Sometimes people get nervous
in person.

Speaker 12 (30:08):
So you think I should follow up with her second date?

Speaker 2 (30:11):
You only went on one date?

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Yeah, one date.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
It's not enough to just be like this should be
it unless it's like an awful date. Now, if it's
a bad date, you're just saying that chemistry is not there.
But sometimes on a first date it is kind of
like a little adjustment of getting to know each other,
filling out the vibes.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
It might not automatically be like this is the one.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
I think we have this romantic notion that when you
meet the person that you're going to be with, you know,
right away, because.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
I usually do listen.

Speaker 11 (30:42):
Staying is another thing, but well listen what I mean?

Speaker 12 (30:46):
I feel like I want to I want to be
like me? Now whoa where I just know off the
back to be with me?

Speaker 9 (30:54):
No?

Speaker 12 (30:54):
No, no, I want to be like you.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
It's talking about skiing with somebody.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
He's not like, what do you I'm saying, what are
you looking for? Oh?

Speaker 12 (31:01):
Okay, okay, I understand, just somebody that can be with
long term.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
Oh see, Now what man I was looking for was
not that he's thinking.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
About, you know, a little hit it real quick, little Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
I'm long I'm a long term.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
And I just don't think that always it sparks right away.

Speaker 7 (31:21):
You know.

Speaker 4 (31:21):
I just think if somebody's cool and nice and you're like,
I would do it, you know, going to a second date.
But sometimes it takes a little while, like for y'all
to feel comfortable.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
Is he asking you questions here, letting you speak?

Speaker 4 (31:32):
Are you opening up because sometimes you could be guarded
to in person?

Speaker 11 (31:36):
Yeah, try to be friends first, like, try to let
things happen gradually. I think that you're looking for instant
I think you look like looking for instant love right like,
I'm on.

Speaker 12 (31:46):
The apps, just like instant instant love.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
What app is this? It's a lot of apps talk
going on a p.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
We're going to talk about apps in a second.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
As a matter of fact, you should definitely keep listening
because we have a whole topic right now where we're
going to be talking about how to date. Because apparently
Tay Diggs and April Jones have broken up. They're both
speaking about it, and so Tay Diggs, well, you know what, we'll.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
Discuss it when we come back. We want to get
your guys.

Speaker 12 (32:14):
It will definitely be listening. Thanks so much for the advice.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Yeah, I don't have to be right away by your time.
We want to talk to you guys. Call us up
and let us know about dating. We'll discuss this. Where
do you find somebody? What are your favorite apps to
use when it comes to dating or do you like
to do that in person?

Speaker 3 (32:28):
We need some dating tips.

Speaker 4 (32:30):
For people like you know, our listener Kat who just
called us, and also Mayno who's looking for love, and
also Navy everybody in the room and sent me and
Dan who's looking for love right now?

Speaker 3 (32:40):
All right?

Speaker 4 (32:40):
Eight hundred two nine fifty fifty start calling us now
it's your advice, it's way up.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Then turn me up.

Speaker 5 (32:46):
Here we go up the this is way up with
Angela Yee.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
What's up as way up at Angela Yee.

Speaker 4 (32:51):
I'm Angela ye Mano is here and we are talking
about some dating advice. How do you date nowadays? You know,
Tay Diggs and April Jones broke up. People were upset
because they loved their footage together, like they did a
lot of fun videos.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
Yeah, I thought that that was a couple that that
was going to stay together for a while.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
I mean they were together for a while.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
And Tay Diggs recently told US Weekly that he has
no idea what he's doing. There's so much out there,
from social media to dating apps. He said he's a
little overwhelmed. He said, I'll see somebody and I'll be like, oh,
I wonder if I should. So, we want to see
what you guys think as far as advice. You haven't
been on any dating apps. May know no, never I'll
date the right way?

Speaker 3 (33:28):
What is the right way? Anyway?

Speaker 4 (33:32):
We want to see what you guys think, and we
need some advice for everyone in the room. Eight hundred
and two. Nice see fifty one to fifty he's serious, Joe,
what's up?

Speaker 3 (33:41):
I'm good.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
So we're trying to give some advice to our listener
who called in for asking, but also to Mano about
these dating apps. How do you find somebody or how
do you date? Maybe not on an app?

Speaker 14 (33:52):
Yeah, it's just crazy nowadays people are just like click away.
But I feel like sometimes if you do like a
video call a phone call before to get a feel
for who they are as a person, the tone of them,
and just let's connect more.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
So you going to dating app?

Speaker 14 (34:08):
Yeah, I'm on Coffee meets Horrible.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
What wait? What is it? Coffee meets Bagels?

Speaker 8 (34:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (34:14):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we have like the opening line and
then after like a week of conversation to go to
it's like take it into online just as the person.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
Oh here it is Coffee meets Bagel the dating app
for serious daters. Yeah all right, that's good advice to
have a FaceTime call first.

Speaker 9 (34:32):
Yeah. Absolutely.

Speaker 14 (34:33):
You can never trust anyone. Now that people put their
best pictures up, you never know what they really look like.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
That's it. Pictures be twenty years old, Like, what's your picture?

Speaker 14 (34:43):
Uh mean djing' dj, but.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Shout out to the DJs.

Speaker 8 (34:54):
I feel like there's always someone Barel.

Speaker 14 (34:55):
You got to respeaight to the next person you're opening along.
That's it.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
It's a all right, thank you for sharing with us.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Answer our DJ friend up here.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
To Nick always on date maps always all right, thank
you Jamie.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
What's up? Hi?

Speaker 6 (35:14):
How are you good?

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Can you give us some dating advice?

Speaker 4 (35:17):
Like?

Speaker 3 (35:17):
What do you think is some good tips for people
who are listening?

Speaker 6 (35:21):
I do think it's important to go on a few
dates with someone before you shut them out completely. I
think after one day, you don't really know a person
and you never know they may be nervous.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
How many dates?

Speaker 6 (35:33):
Oh my gosh, maybe two?

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Two days before bed?

Speaker 12 (35:38):
I like that?

Speaker 11 (35:39):
Okay, I was like, don't judge, no, I like days before.

Speaker 6 (35:44):
But it also depends on the chemistry, you know what
I mean?

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Yeah, chemistry matters.

Speaker 11 (35:48):
So we go to dinner twice and then after that
were good, Yes, yeah, let's go huh.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
I like that energy?

Speaker 3 (35:59):
All right?

Speaker 7 (35:59):
Thank you for share?

Speaker 12 (36:01):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (36:02):
All right, Well that was you guys with the great advice.
As always. How you feel made on?

Speaker 2 (36:06):
I feel good?

Speaker 7 (36:07):
Man?

Speaker 3 (36:07):
You know, I never heard a coffee meets bagel.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
But we're gonna starts the way up, Way.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
Up dating Appeah, okay, way up. We gotta take it
all right, make up, Way up, hustle, way up.

Speaker 10 (36:21):
Yeah, we're gonna think about this, yes, and then we
can host dating events serious scorers only though.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
And then Mayno is going to try to go through
everybody's profile and get the first pager.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (36:35):
Anyway, when we come back, of course, you guys have
the last word.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Take up the phone to get your voice heard. What
the word he is? The last word on Way Up

truth with some other brothers. But remember this, everyone is
in a situation that is much worse than yours, so

(38:41):
treat each day as if it's your last, and in
joy to the fulls. Have a wonderful day
