Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now here's a highlight from coast to coast am on iHeartRadio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
And welcome back, George Nori with you. Constance Stellus with us.
An astrologer of Greek heritage with more than twenty five
years experience. She regularly does guest spots on radio shows
and podcasts, has analyzed more than ten thousand charts and
Constance as an author and has written all over thirty books.

(00:25):
You are a very prolific person, Constance, welcome.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Back, Thank you, thank you. Good to hear your voice.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Have you been good good?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
I mean, it's quite a time, quite a time.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Oh my gosh, it's an astrological nightmare sometimes, isn't it?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Sometimes it is? Sometimes it is. It's to the good,
but not quickly.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
How did you get involved in astrology?

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I was by accident. I was an actor, and of
course I wanted to know when i'd be rich and
famous and in the movies. So I started going to
many astrologers and I thought, wow, this is really this
is really interesting, and they always gave me good advice.
And then I was very very lucky. I found a mentor,

(01:11):
which is the old fashioned way of learning astrology. Now
there are colleges, there are podcasting. I mean, there is
a plethora of astrology information all over the Internet and
people who take degrees in it, and it has gotten
quite quite commercialized in some ways and also prolific. But

(01:33):
I had Leor was his name, strange name, and nobody
in the astrological community knew of him because he was
just kind of kept to himself. But he was a
wonderful astrologer and we would talk charts for years and
I learned from him, and then, you know, the whole
acting thing got to be not so much fun. And

(01:58):
I always like to write. So I put now the
combination of writing an astrology together and talking to people
like you and the radio. So it's worked out pretty well.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Were you the Constance Stellis who was in a movie
called Stealing Martin Lane? Yes, that was you.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Yes, I was a nurse. How do you know Stealing
Martin Lane?

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I know everything in the media. Wow, good for you.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Jimmy Farino was a director. He wrote it and he
directed it and we filmed it right around the corner
here in Hell's Kitchen in New York City. Oh, lovely memory.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
How about are you still doing movies?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
No, I haven't done them for a while. The last
one I did. Last one I did was an independent
film called Super Granny's. It was hilarious.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
I love it. But you're still writing books.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Yep, I'm still writing books. And I have a sub
stack newsletter and and uh, I read short stories, and yeah,
you've got to keep going.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
We'll talk about your books a little bit later on
Concerence is amazing. Okay, give me your thoughts on astrology.
What is it and why does it work? We know
it does, but why?

Speaker 3 (03:15):
There are so many theories about that. And I have
to say serious, not because it's unscientific, but some people
say it's the vibrations of the pattern of the planets
when a child is born, or when the inception of
any kind of I mean, you can have a chart
for business. We could do a chart from the beginning

(03:35):
of coast to coast am and see if it calculates
and reflects the procedure and then progress of your show.
But we can't see that materially. You know, is there
like a Mars rays that calm down or a moon
ray or just that the other thing? So I don't

(03:56):
know if that one's going to work. Basically as far
as i'm bec I don't know why it works, and
I don't spend too much time thinking about it because
I'm busy helping people to see that it does work
and what they can do about it. Because it is
a dialogue. You just can't say, oh my god, my
chart is terrible. I can't do anything because of this,

(04:18):
and that forget it. That's not the path through good life.
There's always something in a chart that can alleviate or
flip things around, and there's timing. Sometimes they're bad. You
just have to get through it.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
There are what twelve zodiac charts.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Twelve zodiac signs yep. Begins with Arias, ends with Pisces,
and they're based on the constellations in the sky. So
there's an Areas constellation, a Taurus, constellation, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Apricorn, Aquarius, Pisces. Now,

(05:02):
in ancient times, these were all aligned with the precession
of equinoxes. Because they move, they're they're not exactly aligned,
but it doesn't matter for the mythology and the study
of astrology. There was a guy, I don't know if
you remember, but there was a guy who posted on

(05:23):
AOL that all the signs were out of kilter and
that that that Scorpio wasn't really scorpio, it was another
asteroid called Ophiucus. And I had an interview with Megan Kelly.
She said, am I an oh yucas? She was? She
was irate because she's a scorpio. I said, no, of

(05:43):
course not. He miscalculated the way astrologers used the tropical
Pseybdiaconmy is it? But it was just kind of funny
that there was a real uproar that people thought that
their sign was different from what they knew it to be. More.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Science, of course, doesn't agree with astrologers. No, why because.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
They're interested in something different. They're interested in measurement in
the cycles of of uh asteroids in sun spots. They
do not connect what's happening in the cosmos to personalities
to people. We say in astrology as above, so below,

(06:28):
astronomers are not interested in that. They may be historically
interested in the fact that every single civilization uh Mayan, Chinese,
Indians has a mythology of astrology, but it's it's not
their bread and butter. They're they're you know, busy looking
at the at the at the quarks and the beginning

(06:51):
of the universe, and it is more scientific. But way
back when there was no difference, an astronomer and a
prologer was the same thing because everybody was trying to
get at the connection between heaven and Earth.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
If you go to go into a hospital or any
given day constance, you'll see a number of babies all
born on the same day, so they all have the
same astrological sign. Does that mean their life will end
up being the same or will it be different?

Speaker 3 (07:27):
It is different? Twins, triplets and aman aman, what is
that woman? The octomom? I thought, wife, the octomom comes
to me for reading our chart? Baby's charge of what
am I going to do? Anyway, she didn't come. The
differences are then parents, nurture, how how the whole family evolves,

(07:56):
and how the child fits into the to the family
that is born into or doesn't. And twins as far
back as Saint Augustine and even further. We're a real
challenge for astrologers. But since the time of birth is important,

(08:16):
so you got the same day, but all those babies
in the hospital were not necessarily born at the same time,
and that changes the configuration of the now.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
When we hate calls next hour constants, I'm going to
give you their name, the city they're in, their birth date,
and the last just to the birth date.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
So I don't have to calculate all the charts, because
I have been informed that makes dead air. So we
don't want dead air.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
It's radio we want to take. I understand, I understand
what determines the astrological chart, the position of the planets,
the suns, the stars. What does it you have?

Speaker 3 (08:57):
So you have the signs, there's twelve of them, and you
have the planets. Well, now there's nine of them, and
the Sun and the moon. The Sun and the moon
are lights. We call them lights because they're not planets.
So every planet, the Sun rules a sign Leo, the

(09:21):
Moon rules a sign Cancer, Mercury rules two signs, Virgo
and Gemini. Your sign Venus rules two signs, Taurus and Libra.
And we can go on. The reason some of the
planets rule two signs is because way back when we

(09:44):
could only see to the planet Saturn, that's the last
planet that's visible with the naked eye, And then things
were discovered uronics in seventeen I think it's sixty eight,
the men Neptune eighteen thing or other, and lastly the
Pluto planet that's giving us a lot of difficulties right now.

(10:06):
Pluto was discovered in nineteen thirty, which in terms of
the cosmos is not too far away. I mean, it's
pretty recent. And each one of those planets is connected
to an astrological zodiac.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Soon if five astrologers looked at one person's chart, would
they all come up with the same kind of thoughts
or would they all come up with something different.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
They've done experiments with criminal charts and you know, pick
out the criminal in the bunch, and that has been
I think, statistically successful. But I shouldn't say but. And
one of the purposes I think of astrology is to

(10:58):
help people evolve and also give them some practical advice.
So each astrologer brings to the table their experience, Like
I'm very good with the creative people and people in
the business, and I've learned a lot about business people,
but it's not my forte. So that colors how I

(11:25):
do readings. And if it speaks to the people, then
then you know we have a good communication.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
When people Constance used to read newspapers in the old days.
They read them a lot. Yeah, one of the first
things they turned to was the horoscope and astrology section.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Absolutely absolutely, they were huge. Yeah. It started in the thirties,
and it started because of the royal family. I think
it was not Queen Margaret, but Margaret A Littabeth. No, no,
I'm not sure who it was, but one of the

(12:05):
flamboyant royals was always in the papers, and somebody had
the right idea to meld that with daily horoscope columns,
and people read them and they say, oh, no, it's
gonna be a terrible day. But the thing is, it's
only one twelfth of the picture. I mean, you only
have the sun there. They're only talking about the Sun.

(12:27):
They're not talking about the moon, they're not talking about Venus,
they're not talking about Jupiter, etc. So it's not false,
but it's slip.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Do your astrological signs constance tell you what things will
be or could be?

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Will be is a little bit too deterministic, could be
is a little bit wishy washing. So if we can
put it in the middle, that would be the truth.
When we're dealing with events. For example, right now, Mars
is retrograde. In other words, it's traveling backwards and has

(13:10):
been since well, I don't know, about three weeks ago.
So when I looked at the twenty twenty five horoscope
for the year, I thought, hm, we have this great
forward motion with the Middle East situation and some I mean,
it's not solved, but it's better. So we're at astaces

(13:33):
and when Mars goes direct, then we're going to see
how well everything sticks to the plant. I'm afraid, but
so that could be, and I wouldn't say it will
be because we always have a choice. I think it
was Isaac Steveschinger said we have to believe in free will.

(13:57):
We have no choice.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Is there a sign, an astrological sign that is just
the best, Well, your.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Own sign should be the best for you.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
There there are.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
There are good reps and not so good reps. But
each if you look back at celebrities, or if you
look back at real contributors to the world, it is
usually at least one biggie per sign. I mean, if
you want to think about presidents of the United States,

(14:36):
Aquarius is the most common sign for American presidents. The
least common is Virgo, and I think passions, so that's
that's not really statistical. But so every sign has its good.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Points, every sign, do they have bad points?

Speaker 3 (14:57):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, because some are more challenging
than others. And it also depends because most astrologers, including myself,
believe in reincarnation. So the question is always what do
you come here to learn this time around? And that's

(15:19):
why some people have very difficult charts, and they have
to they have to work hard, and many, many do
outstanding things.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Astrology has been called constant pseudoscience. You agree with that,
Oh why not?

Speaker 3 (15:40):
I don't care. I'll tell you something funny though. You
know that guy Neil de Grasse who's.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
The head of the Oh yeah, he's been on the
show before.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Well tell him he's born on the same birthday I am,
and he hates astrology.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
He's a scientist, scientist, I know, but I've.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
I thought it was so funny that we have to say.
I mean, he's older than I am, but we have
the same birthday. So somewhere either I'm hiding a very
scientific brain or he's hiding a creative brain. But your
question is pseudoscience in the language of scientists. Yes, and

(16:24):
I think it comes to be important with medical astrology,
which a lot of people are paying attention now, because
in ancient times every single physician was an astrologer, and
he used the position, especially the moon to gather herbs
to at the right time may be the most potent

(16:46):
or primitive surgeries had lots of rules about when you
can perform them safely, and I think even modern doctors
study some of that history. I don't. I don't know
if it's you know, on their medical boards, but it's
it's interesting. The quest for knowledge was more homogeneous a

(17:11):
long time ago.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
We've got a numerologist kind deals with numbers, of course,
but numbers are also in astrology, so there's got to
be a similarity. I would think between numerology and astrology
there is.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
There is not being super duper and math. I know
something about numerology, but it doesn't quite speak to me.
I like the mythological underpinnings of the signs and the planets,
but numerology in the hands of an expert is very revelatory,

(17:51):
says a lot.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Do we have control over our chart?

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Yeah? Have some control, no, and some transits, which is
how the planets are moving through through time like we
have a chart, and then we can progress that chart
to the age you are now, and that gives more information.
And I say, yes, we have control, but it takes work,

(18:28):
especially if it's a difficult transit transits meaning the way
the planets in the sky are affecting your chart.
