Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now here's a highlight from coast to coast AM on iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
And welcome back George Murray. With you Suzanne Eastman with
us spiritual teacher who has been recognized on the Watkins
List of the one hundred most spiritually influential living people
and awarded the prestigious twenty twenty four Humanities Team Spiritual
Leadership Award. Congratulations. She's a former Navy commander with a
master's degree in National Security Affairs, serves as a commanding
(00:29):
officer and aid to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs
of Staff, and she now guides people to enjoy a
consciously connected and divinely guided life. And she was our
guest on Beyond Belief a few weeks ago in Denver,
and those shows should show up in a few months.
Suzanna did a great job for us.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Well, thank you, George. I think there was a good
synergy with us, with you and your Navy.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Background, it was fun.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
Have you been excellent? Excellent.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
We're traveling across the country right now.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Let's on the road again.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
How did you go for being a Navy commander to
a spiritual teacher.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Well, unfortunately, it was a family tragedy, and that's what
often happens for people. They have a wake up call,
And in my case, it was the very unexpected death
of my stepdaughter, Susan.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
She was a sergeant in.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
The Marine Corps, crossing the flight line at work and
was struck and killed by lightning. And I just took
one look at her body at her funeral, George, and
I just knew there had to be something more than
this physical life. And that started me on a journey
of exploration of the afterlife, and I discovered much more
(01:41):
than I expected to find.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Did you ever change your mind or feelings about the
afterlife along the way?
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Oh, it didn't change my mind.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
It rocked my whole worldview.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
I had no idea there was an afterlife. I had
a basic curiosity but hadn't really dived into it. But
after Susan died, I began meditating every day trying to
connect with her, and I discovered that there really is
an afterlife and it's very much alive.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Your latest book is called Mediumship Sacred Communications with Loved
Ones from Beyond the Veil. That says it all, doesn't it?
Speaker 4 (02:19):
It does.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
It is sacred to me because when you discover that
someone you love and has died is not really gone.
That it's like you said, it.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
Changes everything, and that word's sacred to me.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
It means tinged with awe and I'm just awed when
I can connect with people's loved ones who have passed
and show them what I've come to know, that death
is really not the end.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
What do you say to people who are on the fence?
Speaker 4 (02:53):
Ah?
Speaker 3 (02:55):
I laugh at that because I had a guy who
came to me for a reading. He came with his wife.
His wife wanted the reading and they wanted two separate readings,
so he came in first and I said, how do
you feel about mediumship? And he said, well, I'm really
on the fence about that, and I said, well, let's
just see what happens. So I remember bringing through his
(03:16):
father and his friend with evidence. And that's the thing, George,
when you bring through things that you can't possibly know,
it changes people's wives, like mine has been changed through
this work.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
And at the end of the.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Reading, he's sitting there with wide eyes and I said, well,
how do you think about mediumship now? And he said, well,
I'm not on the fence anymore because.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
The evidence is just life changing.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Your publisher has sacred stories. Tell me about them.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Well, I really love the publisher. The main publisher, her
name is Ariel and in fact George. She was a
sergeant in Marines, just like my Yeah, so we have
this nice connection there. But she really comes from the
heart in her work.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
She's published a series of books.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
Called Common Sentience, and every book starts has just a
one word title like my Mediumship, but everyone has to
do with.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
A sacred topic such as Akasha and God talk.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
And then we have like my book Mediumship, and they
all have the same format. Three parts to each book.
The first is the who, how, what, Where, when why?
The third part is special tools that you can do
techniques to.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Practice what the book is about.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
And the middle on each of the book consists of
stories examples of what the book is about, with two
stories by the main author, and then in my case
in the book of Mediumship twenty eight thirty contributor stories
of what I call no their explanation moments noes that
(05:03):
show that mediumship is real.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
So it's just a really good read with a lot.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Of practical information and then a lot of stories that
you can just pick it up and put it down
anytime you need a.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Lift, Susander. Religions encourage people to try to deal with
the other side.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
That would depend on the religion.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
It's interesting that I was raised with no religion, so
I didn't have any belief system that I had to
clear out or move past. I haven't really studied the
religions much, George, because for me, it's not so much
about what others tell me, and that's what religion is
as the spiritual path, which is finding out for yourself
(05:48):
what is real and what is meaningful and what is sacred.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Do you find that most people want to connect with
their loved ones who have passed on or not, well,
it's do Orge.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
I find that those who come to a medium definitely
want to find out. But then there are those who
are or whose religion might have told them that it's
wrong to connect, and so it's going to be very
personal for each person. But I have found that when
you have someone very close to you, who you love
very much, who passes, sometimes it doesn't matter what.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
Your belief system is.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
You just want to connect with them, and that will
lead anybody, no matter what their background, to a medium.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
You're subtitl in your book says, beyond the veil, what
is the veil?
Speaker 3 (06:38):
The veil is a filter that blocks us from awareness
of a reality that's right here. So really, if you
look at it scientifically, the veil is the brain, because
when we no longer have a brain, when we pass
through that veil at the time of death, we realize
that there is no after life. There's only what I
(07:01):
call the ever life. Life is existence and experience and
it's ongoing.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
But we're not aware of.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
The after life when we only focus on our physical
senses and the brain, that veil between this life and
an expanded awareness of life. The brain just gets in
the way of that.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
That's the veil.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Is the spirit and the soul one and the same.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Wow, that's a good one.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
It's different for different people, depending on what they believe
about those two terms. My understanding of the two is
that spirit is synonymous with consciousness, and.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
That is all that is.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Everything is consciousness expressing itself through various experiences. But the
soul is one aspect of spirit that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
It does. So when you summon up the spirit, are
you also summoning up the soul?
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Yes? Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
What happens if you can't connect. What are we doing wrong?
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Oh, well, tell you that'sn't an interesting question. We're not
necessarily doing something wrong. There could be another reason that
we're not aware of. We don't always have the bigger picture.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
So to say we're.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Doing something wrong, it's to place blame. There are different techniques.
We can use different methods to pierce that veil to
get through the brain's filter.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
But George, it took.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Me three years of daily meditation to connect with my
stepdaughter Susan.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
That's why I started connecting.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
That's why I started meditating daily, and I started connecting
with other people's loved ones before I connected with my stepdaughter. Now,
was I doing something wrong?
Speaker 4 (09:03):
Not at all.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
She explained to me later that she helped back. She
didn't come through to me for three years because she
wanted me to hone my ability to connect to that
different frequency of.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
What we call the after life.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
If she had come to me right away, I would
have just said, Okay.
Speaker 4 (09:24):
Mission accomplished, I'm done. It's great. You just talked to Susan.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
But I kept working at it every day, trying to
determine what is it that makes this connection so clear,
working on myself to clear out doubts and my lack
of trust, and all of that has helped make my
connection with others and with higher beings more clear. So
was I doing something wrong?
Speaker 4 (09:49):
Not at all. It was part of a bigger plan.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
You had a number of contributors who added to your
book co Mediumship. Tell me about them. How did you
find them?
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Well, the publisher's Sacred Stories put out a call and
I also.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Is working with them.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Send out an email to all the people that follow
my work, and I know they had boy at least
two hundred contributors. Because George, when you start talking to
people about have you had communications from across the veil?
Have you had no other explanation stories of connecting with
the afterlife? It is stunning how many people have a
(10:28):
story to tell.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
So we put out that call and they had to sort.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Through all these stories and choose the very best ones,
the ones that when I read them, I would turn
to my husband time and say, God, Honey, you have
to hear this one because they were just fascinating. And
those are the stories that made the cut, But there
are so many more that were just as interesting.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Because once we.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Start talking about these things, the stories are limitless.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
They truly are. Give us one of the examples without
giving away all of the book. One of the stories.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Oh gosh, how about the woman that was missing her
son very much. He had passed, he had crossed the veil,
and his name is Kevin.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
And she went for a.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
Walk on a trail and saying, Kevin, I wish you
could just show yourself to me in some way, just
to let me know that you're around. And she's walking
on the trail and it's a trail where there aren't
normally many people, and a long come I believe it
was a man with his dog, and they stopped and
they got to talking on the trail, and she said,
(11:36):
what's your dog's name?
Speaker 4 (11:37):
And he said it's Kevin.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
I don't know, George, have you ever met anybody with
a dog named Kevin.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
I've never known a dog named Kevin.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
I haven't either.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
And that people might say is just the synchronicity. And
you do this work long enough and you've learned that
there are no coincidences when you ask for signs like that.
Signs like that are called app death communications. That's a
different form of mediumship. When I do mediumship, I connect
(12:07):
mentally mind to mind with the spirits. But after death,
communications include signs that you just can't deny, show that
our loved ones are guiding us to certain situations. What
made her stop and talk to that man on the trail,
what made her come to ask, what's.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
Your dog's name?
Speaker 3 (12:27):
That's a form of connecting mind to nine with your
loved one, And you may not even realize it until
you have this kind of surprising, stunning moment that touches
you in your heart and lets you know, oh my gosh,
there's something else going on.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Here that when Sacred Stories put on its request for contributions,
you got more than the twelve people who are in
the book.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Seahreds, hundreds of them. They were flooded.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
I don't think that the Ariel, the publisher, realized what
she was getting into when.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
She asked for that.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
How is the the easiest what is the best way
to connect with spirit?
Speaker 3 (13:06):
As you ask that, I just automatically took a deep
breath because right.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
Now I'm talking much faster than I normally do.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
I'm a little excited to share with everybody. But to
connect with spirit you shift channels. Basically, I'm using the
human mode channel to talk to you.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
But if I were to talk to.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
A spirit, I simply set an intention to connect with
that different frequency beyond the physical senses. I slowed down
my brain a little bit with a deep breath, and
then I notice what stands out from my normal thoughts.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
How do we know it's not the brain trickiness?
Speaker 4 (13:48):
But we don't know.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
So that's why we look for what stands out. We
look for things that we don't possibly can't possibly know.
But most of all, George, we look for what is
helpful and healing. So anything that might be tricking us
might come from the ego, might come from another aspect
of consciousness.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
That's not what we're asking for.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
So as long as it's helpful in healing, that's what matters.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Most is some people Susanne, who have lost loved ones
not have any desire to get a hold of them
for whatever reason.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
They do.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Absolutely I found that that very rarely do I get
what I call drop ins when I'm aware of a
spirit with when I'm interacting with somebody, not doing a reading.
For example, one day, my husband and I were checking
into a campground.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
We travel a lot.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
By r V, and I was checking in with the
camp host, and suddenly I became aware of the presence
of a woman. And I looked at a photo frame
that was on his desk, and I knew it was
his wife. And I I don't usually do the There's
a TV show called The Long Island Medium, and she
tunes in all the time to people, just when she's
(15:07):
grocery shopping or in her normal life. I've never actually
seen the whole show, but I know that that's the
way she works. But all of a sudden, here's this
man's wife.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
And I said to him, I see that picture on
your desk.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
I know that's your wife and that she passed and
I can sense her now, and oh my gosh, Steard
he bristled, He looked afraid, and he said, I don't
want to hear any of that. And I said, okay,
I did not intend to barge in on your privacy.
Speaker 4 (15:37):
And I left the office, and I.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
Felt like I had done something wrong. But I looked
to spirit to that woman. I said, well, we tried so,
because she was right there.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
She just wanted to.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
Tell him that she's okay and that she loved him.
So all I could do was deliver, try to deliver
the message, but he didn't want to hear it. That's okay,
that was his path and he was on well.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
With Susan geze Man, we are talking about one of
her books, Mediumship, but she's got several others, including The
Awakened Wind, The Awakened Way, and The Messages of Hope.
How many books do you have, Suzanne, Well.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
It's interesting, George.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Mediumship just came out today and it's my fifteenth book.
But not all of them are about spiritual topics, but
those certainly are my favorites.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Well, it was ironic. I was getting on the plane
ready to go to Denver to do our Beyondbelief TV
show with you and your book arrived at my place. Huh,
and I went, oh, this is great. She's going to
be a guest on Coast to coast, but she's a
guest on Beyondbelief. Synchronicity. It's the best, isn't it.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
It's beyond Belief.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
We talked a little bit about the brain confusing us.
Does that happen a lot?
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Confusing us or blocking us from being aware of what's
going on happens almost all the time.
Speaker 4 (17:05):
We're walking in two worlds at once.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
The physical world in a non physical world, and we
don't even realize it. We say the sun rises and sets,
but it doesn't, does it.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
That's an illusion.
Speaker 3 (17:20):
So when you start questioning reality, that's what I ask
people to do in my book The Awakened Way. It
reveals an entirely different reality that's right here, but until
we shift our focus, we're not aware of it. But
the thing is, when we shift our focus, especially in
an expanded state of consciousness, and find out that we
(17:42):
are accompanied by non physical helpers all the time, that
changes everything.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
I mean, George, I went through.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
My military career without being aware that I have help,
we all have help, and that life will flow so
much more easily. We don't have to do it all alone.
We're not only humans. That changes everything, and that's my
new mission to help people live what I call the
Awakened Way. Mediumship brought me to that awareness. So that
(18:15):
was just the start of a much greater journey that
all of us are really on as souls.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
It's exciting the path that you're on, Suzanne, any regrets, The.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Only regret is that I didn't know about it earlier.
And yet I see the perfection and how it unfolds now,
so you know, you think that you understand something and
then another door opens.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
So I get.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Excited when I wake up every day like, well I
know now, I don't know it at all, So what's
coming next? And so just always pushing the boundaries a
little bit more, stretching ourselves beyond our comfort zone. That's
what leads to growth, and that's what leads to more
and more literally.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Joy in our lives.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
