we have some explaining to do. We didn't realize that

So we started doing our We were doing meet and
greets before the show today. So Becca came over with
ample time and we were I mean, she was going
to crawl my hair tonight. We had all this time
before the show and we were in the middle of
our mean greets and my wife I went out because

of course it did um and it was working all
day today, so of course, um, so we scurried out
of my house to come here to finish the meet greets.
Come to Becca's. Um we I am wearing ugs, oh
with some weird shorts. And we didn't even have time
to make our drinks, so I've been drinking my teal

out of the bottle. I don't even Becca didn't have
time to make her drinks, so she's drinking tequia. So

because it currently Tonya is gonna make me drink straight tequila,
warm tequila. And we know the last time that I

talked to Sabrina just at that that's not that much.
Just I it was a tequila thing. So I can't

know that, I get so stressed when things don't go
according to plan. And so I've been having a little
bit of a stressed um a few hours. Oh and

don't work right now. I don't sorry about that. Her
computer is attent and we just have our fingers crossed
that it's not gonna die. We're gonna figure it out.

It's so sick, it's literally sick. It's actually so sick

we also have a donation jar at the bottom of

gonna go to save our stages, what you've heard us
talking about before on the podcast. But um, it's basically going.
The money is gonna go to fund a lot of
the you know, local the local music scene that was
basically shut down because of COVID. So if you feel inclined,

summer and this was like this was like beginnings, like

beginning stages of quarantine. I don't know this just like July. Yeah, okay,
in a minute though it's been a minute, but I
don't know. Do you know what happened that day? Okay,
so we're gonna all back this video that we took.
It's just about it's not of you. Don't worry, it's nothing,
but the fact that you didn't even know what happened

is even funnier. So we're gonna play the video back
and just from our interview with you in August, let's
do it. But it was like holding it together. Yeah,
I look, so now you can see me. I'm kicking
Red Star under the table. I'm like kicking him because
he's sitting across from me, like I'm making eye contact.

Did you not notice that at all? How do you
that that? Because I didn't. I was I just locked
into you. I was just like I kept going, Yeah,
y'all were both like just super professional. And I had
been at the pool all day before and for some reason,
in the pool, the spicy margariteas hadn't affected my system

until I got out of the pool to come to
the interview, and I truly don't know how I walked
to the room, Like that's how gone. I think I
had seven spicy margarita. So we start and I'm like
I can get through this I'm a professional, Like what
why did I drink? Like what if my personality, if anything,
is just amplified right now? He's great. I literally look

at our producer Eastern. That's why I look at when
in that video and I was like, I'm like, I'm
about to throw off. Someone brings me sucket. I was
literally off to the side. Who guys really played that
off like Tanya, like I would have never been able
to know like it. That's so funny too, because I've
had so many moments like where like I was working
with someone like a co star or something, and they

(07:40):
say nothing and they just leave and I just keep going,
you know what I mean, Like you just I'm like
in my mind, I'm talking to you, and then I
just see her out of the corner. I just like
go down, just down the floor, and I'm like a
little bit concerned. So I'm like, can somebody help her
on the ground right now? I'm just impressed with how
much you didn't care though, Like it was you know
what I mean, Like but it's drunk, so like whever

they're going to handle it, you know. The impressive part
was both of y'all just like beat It's not funny.
I just always figure it's like I don't know, there's
something it's something that I shouldn't comment on, but I
definitely missed it. I had no idea what was happening.
I was like, oh, yeah, beck is not going to
be joining us for the rest of the She's so funny.

I feel like we we talked about you all the
time on the podcast now because it's like, truly it's
been one of our favorite moments. That's so funny, and
I know no idea. It's so good. I give you
so much, Pops for even trying to like still follow
through knowing the state you were in. I did not,

(08:45):
so Brina. I did not know the state that I
was in when I would not have even started if
I knew how bad it was gonna get. I just
thought I was on like a high, yeah that I
was like really locked out, Like she like hadn't drank
all the quarantine, so this was like the first dreet
like three months. Okay, Yeah, that's and that makes sense
to me because I really don't, like I really don't.

I turned twenty one, like, oh my gosh, almost a
year ago. That's crazy. Um, but I'm still twenty one
still in my twenty first year, and I just you know,
I don't really know my tolerance yet. Um So as
of right now, like I really make TikTok's when I'm
drunk because I like to like make the most out
of um that because it just never goes the way

I plan for it too. I haven't figured out my
tolerance yet. A life has been crazy for you recently.
You have like a sing single Thanks. I know, I
want let's I want to talk about it because I
have my own I just I love you and I
know where your heart is, and I just have a

(09:50):
lot of just opinions about everything. I know that like
you love, we have to love um and um you
put the song out. It's incredible and obviously is resonating
with people because it's crushing, and I'm really proud of
you for really speaking your truth. Yeah, I mean, in

that moment, it was like there was so many things
I feel like I've talked to you too, just like
over the I feel like I have talked to you
because I have UM, but over the last few years
in my life that were just sort of UM, it
was like kind of all coming to that moment of
ultimately channeling that energy and all of those feelings into

one thing that I could like really circle back with
and remind myself and um, because life, it's it doesn't
like get easier. It doesn't just like after you get
over the hump, like you're done and you figured it
out and no one's ever going to get to you
ever again, Like that's not how it works. Um, But
it's just knowing that, like if you're able to kind
of like just actually you know, breathe and work through

(10:57):
it as opposed to trying to avoid the pain and
trying to ignore it. Um, that's just always worked a
lot better for me. But I'm still figuring it out
and navigating, um, how I feel. And yeah, I mean
that the song was was really a form of therapy
in that way for me. So and then I like
it's supposed to be, do you know what I mean?
Like you're a musician, you're a songwriter, and that's what

(11:17):
you do, that's your alf Let me see you guys
the other day. Um, but I was just like, yeah,
it's funny, Like I genuinely like we'll never forget the
day where like I walked into this too and I
was like, well, I'm getting sued, So I wrote sue me,
and like it was just like as simple as like,
this is what's happening, so I have to write about it,
and like you know, sometimes it works out and sometimes

it it doesn't. And in this situation, it just it did.
It resonated with me and a lot of other people.
So it was, yeah, I'm just grateful. I'm grateful that
I'm gratefully you like it. Yeah, I mean I think
that's what's so powerful about songwriters and being and what
people connect with. Like you think about these mega hits
and from a from an experience and like a play

(12:00):
or you're literally like you said, it was your therapy
of writing it, like processing the emotions and the feelings
and um, it takes a lot of vulnerability and bravery,
and I don't think people realize like putting that out
there is so personal and like you're literally putting it
out there for people to have an opinion on it
and critique it. And that's not easy. That's not easy

(12:20):
at all. Yeah. I think this was a tricky situation
where like people already had, you know, an opinion before
I put anything out there. So I was in that
situation of like you know, what do I do do?
I just like sort of allow people to kind of
say what they want, um and you know, know that
a lot of it isn't true or just kind of
like say what I have to say and know that

(12:42):
a lot of people probably won't understand and that's okay,
but that like Tomorrow's a new day and I'm going
to write a different song about something else. And then
life goes on and there's three hundred sixty five days
in a year, and like I'm just telling my story,
you know what I mean. So um yeah, when you
put in a respecting like that, so such a there's
such a power to what you're doing, and like I

(13:02):
just I'm really proud of you, just as like a
woman and no, like seriously, I think it's you know,
I write all the time. I write in my journal.
I write I've been writing for the past like two months,
and I don't want anybody seeing that. Like I don't
want anybody seeing that. And a lot of power and
like doing what you are doing, you know what I mean,
Like you're like, look like this is going on, this

(13:22):
is how I'm feeling, and I'm just gonna I'm gonna
this is my way of healing, in my way of
dealing with things, and I just think if there's so much,
I don't know. I just feel a lot of powerful
energy from you, and I'm just excited for the next chapter.
I'm so excited. I'm at the studio right now. I'm like,
I'm genuinely like so so um like invested. I mean,
I'm always invested, but right now, I think it's just

(13:43):
kind of like a different level of just like you know,
ripping off that band aid, of just being like, you
know what, life is very short. We're here for a
very short period of time. UM so, so to just
be honest with ourselves and um hopefully like if other
people can hear my song which is about my situation
and they can attach it to their somehow, even though

(14:05):
it's a completely different situation, it's like it's worth it,
you know, so worth it. It's exactly what we're all
like going through in some way. Perform That's what I
told you. It's like that's what music does, and that
really resonates. It's because it speaks at universal truth. So
it's like your truth is my truth in such a
different way, and music makes us realize how similar we
all actually are, especially at a time where everyone feels like,

(14:26):
you know, we're just disconnected against each other, like not
on the same page. And then you like listen to
a song and we're all like, oh, I've been there,
and like it's like it's a nice reminder. So I'm
glad that that's like part of my job. That's a
really really beautiful thing. Um beautiful thing. You're very lucky
and we're lucky to have you, and I'm excited to
like follow your journey, you know what I mean, Like

you get to tell a story from your perspective through
what wherever you want to go, and I'm excited to
see where you go with it. Thank you, You're the best.
I mean, you know, I just I love you, and
I I also feel like I get protective over you
because I'm so sorry you say love. Yeah, you gotta
be careful with all once you love me, because you
will be kidding me. I cannot believe that this happened

I just honest spect you to go down in interview.
I'm not at that level yet. But I'm just honestly,
I just listen everything you said, and I think, I,
I'm so impressed with you at the like being twenty

one years old and doing what you're doing. I'm like, no,
she's blown away. I have nothing figured out like that.
I just want to like point blank say that I
don't like anybody does, like none of us, Like you
absolutely shouldn't. And what you're doing is like giving people
a chance to feel like feel valid and how they're
what they're going through and and also but like what

you deal with is oh not normal, Like I my
one of my favorite lines for your song is when
you say, like I've been in the spotlight all my
life and it's like that's not easy, Like that's not easy. Yeah,
it's just different. It doesn't it's you know, for for me,
it's like I I did, like choose a path to
go down because of what I love to do, and

so with that, like it comes with it's you know,
advantages disadvantages. But I definitely feel like you know, I
in a sense like I can say that I know
what I signed up for, but I had no idea
what I signed up for when I was like you know,
when I was ten and I was like, I love
this song and I want to make my own. Like
I wasn't thinking like, oh, in ten years, I'm gonna

say something about you and you're gonna have you know
what I mean. Like it's and and that's just you know,
it's happened in so many different ways, and um, you know,
and it affects your personal life as well as your
you know, regular life. And and also I think it's
just it's always hard at the end of the day
when you can't control the way people see you and
the way people will know you, because you yourself know

who you are as a person. Like you're sitting there,
You're like, I have a good heart, I have good intentions,
and I love people and I don't want to hurt people.
And then you have the world being like, no, you
know what I mean. It's just it's a it's a
weird place to be in and you just got are
those people in your d ms seeing the stuff that
is getting thrown at you. I don't read my d
ms for that reason, but but yeah, that's the truth.

(17:23):
And I and I've said this before, but like I
think a lot of people are very like it's it's
tunnel vision. You know, they're they're they're focused on what
they have to say and what they're writing, and they're
not thinking, like, um, they're not thinking about all the
other people that are saying those things and how that
could affect you, because like I'm I'm not really like
human to some of those people. And that's fine. It's

gonna be a rude awakening and they realize I'm a
very much a human being. But I you know, I
have to I have to definitely like find some lightness
in all of it and realize it's like, well, I mean,
I'm sure they're struggling in some sort of way and
I'm sure they're hurting, and you know, I hate to
like put it in that kind of perspective, but you
do have to sometimes in order to keep yourself like saying,

just know that, like you're not the only one going
through something, and you know the best way that we
can heal through things is to is to share things
that can bring us closer together, which music has always
been that for me. So same, take a drink. I'm kidding.

and the heartbreaks and a really amazing friend through a
lot of pain, a lot of pain, a lot of
when I met when I meant Tye, I wasn't ready.
I had been um, just put through a lot, and
the last thing in the world I wanted was was
to have that happened again to me. So my girlfriends
brought me to Stage Coach, which I had never been to.

I didn't know what country music or anything at all,
and they brought me there and like, this is your
girl's weekend to get away from it all. I'm just dancing,
you know, having the time in my life. And I
see him and I'm like, I didn't even know how
I like this guy that smile in these tattoos, and
I'm like, I gotta get out of here. Like legitimately

ran away after three minutes. She just took off. Well,
he came over to me first. So he comes over
and he's like, do I know you from somewhere? But
I have no idea how to flirt, So I just
repeated everything he said back to me. I'm like, I
think I know you from somewhere, but I didn't. I
just didn't know what to say. And then it worked.
Everything you said I just repeated back, and then I

mean were Instagram friends, like probably for sure, probably Instagram friends.
And then I got very flustered, feeling like she's like hot,
and just very flustered buying man, you know, and I
just ran away, like I darted away and took off,
ran away, and then he had the plant on Instagram.
But you know the service that yeah, the worst. So

he had my name and there was no convo, and
the next day he slid into the d MS. Yeah,
I did, you know. I took it old school and
I approached her in person, and then she cut that
down and ran away. So then I went to the
new school and slid to the d m S the
next day to um, just try to keep the conversation going,

even though it wasn't really conversation because she really was
just repeating the same things I was saying to her
back to me. Makes me emotional because I like, I
think I forgot until we just brought it up. But
it's like, your heart has been through so much, and um,
I'm just really happy for you. Cry. You're gonna make

me cry, just like you really went through it. And
I'm just really happy for you because amazing like, I know,
amazing your story has been, UM, and I don't know
for everybody that's watching, like it's like if you're going
through something, you're going through heartbreak, like there is light

thank you because you were really, really really special friends.
So I never knew of the giving keys at the time.
And Tana and I were at church together and Tana
had given me a key and you said you put

it in a little note from me, and you stealed
it up and it was let go and it was

like to hold onto it until it no longer serves you.

I feel like, you know, like people kind of come
in and out of your life and obviously you know,
you got married and you guys kind of live all
over the place. Um, but you will always be such

will always have that with you. And so I'm just
so happy for you and happy that you found Tyler
and that you guys are just like thriving and in

And so when she's all of a sudden in this

least it's my ajournaline going and she's in it. Wait,

you consider yourself a country music fan? Oh? Yes, like
my first, like my life has changed. First first gunning
a bureau with Dustin Lynch, Like I didn't want anything

just give me all the country. She went from Coachella
to then just trying stagecoach. Just let's just try stage coaches.

we met and I've just been you know, turn her
into a country girl ever since. Coaches is the ultimate
like transformation to country music, especially for Californians and or

at least anybody that goes, because it's kind of like
that festival. It's for the most part, it's the same people,
it's the same place. It's just different bands, you know,
and in different outfits, different very different outments. Cried, I'm sorry,

haven't seen you lately. Obviously times have been crazy for everybody,
but like it just like immediately, like seeing your sweet eye,
It's just like took me back to that time in

I think that like I was really you know, I
think we worked together in that time for a reason,

like to be cast in such a main focus relationship

so to be able to be dropped into her storyline

about the benefits of imposter syndrome. Because I do think

really purposeful. So, um, there are benefits of having imposter syndromes,
So I would dive into like maybe researching what those
benefits are and then also at the end of the
day to knowing that you're where you are for a reason.

And I think having a little bit of imposter syndrome
throughout your whole life is a good thing, to be honest,

So go with it. Treat your team like you would
want to be treated when you were, you know, just
