Speaker 1 (00:00):
Scrubbing in with Beca Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast. Hello everyone,
we are scrubbing it.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yep, all right.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Sometimes she sometimes she wants to say something. Sometimes she
doesn't know.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
I decided I saw more scuttle button in the Facebook group,
and I decided I can't anymore more scuttle butt, more
scuttle About the intro, I was like, I just can't
know what I've realized.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
But you don't know, doesn't hurt you?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Just a group I like going into.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
But if I I mean just social media in general,
when it's something I read brings me down, I go
why I didn't need to know that.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I was like, you know, this isn't just this is
this is something I just I don't need. So if
everybody prefers it this way, fine by me.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Okay, great. It hasn't been long since our last podcast,
but Mark is back.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Hi, Mark is back, Welcome.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Back to the podcast. Thank you so much is gone.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
But one thing about us, we keep trucking.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
That we do.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
You don't have a podcast for eight years if you
don't keep trucking.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
I'll say it again, say it again.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
You say it again. You don't have a podcast.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
If you don't keep trucking right yours?

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yeah, yeah, speaking of Lady World, happened this weekend?

Speaker 4 (01:29):
It did?

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Did you text them?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
I don't have that relationship with them. I mean I
did comment on their stuff. I did comment on the
Lady Gang. The Lady Gang put on what I can't
even imagine how stressful and overwhelming and how.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Much work that took.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I was blown away. It was literally like a festival.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
It was. It was a festival for podcasts.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
It was incredible. We didn't get invited to be a part,
but you know what, sometimes you support. Sometimes it's nice
to support from afar.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I was sad we were not invited.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
However, it did not deter my support and enthusiasm for them.
I was like liking everything. I sent them all a
text saying good luck this weekend.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
You know what it made? It made me go like it.
I just feel like they've been such an og podcast
for so long, and I felt this sense of pride
that these incredible women that were friends with do that
on this like full on weekend long festival.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I know, And like, I don't know if you saw
Mark probably didn't say this.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
I'm gonna guess.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Kelty ran a portion where they basically like wrote down
things that they wanted to get rid of, and then
they all walked into the water while she was playing
All too Well the ten minute Taylor's version and like
and like release them into the ocean, and she was
ps it was biodegradable water or about credible paper, so like,
don't get on me, I didn't litter or whatever. And
I was like, that is so Tanya coated, like I
would love that, just seeing like a sea of women

(02:56):
walking into the ocean releasing the things that do not
serve them.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
I was like, oh, I thought the manifestation portion was
very you. Yeah, but they had podcast guests, they had
musical guests like Otown performs, Yeah, who else? Kaitlin performed,
Kaylin Bristow performed like live for the first time. Yeah,
I think at least in a crowd, a huge crowd.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Huge crowd.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
So we just want to give it up for our girls,
our girls, Kalti, Becca and Jack.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
We love you, keep on going girls.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
It was. It looked incredible and I would love to
have them on to talk about it because I can't
even imagine what went into that.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
I'm sure they need to put their feet up for
a minute, but we'll give them some time. We give
them some time and not too much time, no, because.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
We need we need the the nitty gritty. Yeah, what'd
you do this weekend? Speaking of.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Tended this little wedding.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
That was wedding that happened.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Uh No, but I went to Selena Gomez and Benny
Blanco's wedding.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Can I ask a questions? Yes, so you get invited
to that?

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Was it casual? Did you get an invitation?

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Like?

Speaker 3 (04:08):
What was the process? And did you think you were
going to get invited?

Speaker 1 (04:12):
I did not think that I was going to get invited,
but I think it was a different type of invites
because they were everything was kind of kept. So I
honestly have I don't even know where I went so
like that location.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
No, I have no idea. I just knew when to
get on the shuttle and where do you know what
I mean?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
So did they put over your head like I could have.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I could have known where I was, But at that point,
it's just like I don't care, do you know what
I mean? Like I'm yeah, like I just show up,
get on this shuttle. And it's going to take me
where I need to go. That's all I need to know.
But I think the thing that we can all appreciate,
especially about Selena Gomez, is how vulnerable and open she's

(05:04):
been her entire life, and so getting to see just
how happy and joyful and love filled she and Benny are,
it's like it just feels so nice, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Like it's just I feel.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Like every wedding you feel that you feel the love
in the room and you feel this energy, but I
feel like with her, it just hits different. And so
it was just really beautiful to see. I mean, like
they were just smiling the whole time, like it was
just it.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Was a real life fairy tale.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
I feel like people have been saying like it was
a fairy tale, and it really just felt like that.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
I really feel like people have been rooting for her
so much, like not only in her love life, but
just in general, her career, her personal life, her wellness, everything,
And so I think people are so excited to see
her with someone who like adores her.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah, and that's the thing, Like he adores her, you
know what I mean, and she adores him, yeah, And
it's that's just that's that's the goal, do you know
what I mean, Like, that's that's what you want. And
so anyways, I didn't talk about obviously, I didn't talk
about being invited before the wedding because I didn't want to.
I mean, they were trying to keep it under wraps.
Although it was not under wraps, I feel like I

(06:23):
was just seeing it everywhere, and out of like respect
for them as a couple, I also don't want to
like share intimate details because I feel like, when it's
your wedding, you want to be able to share that
when you want, how you want, you know what.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I mean, Come on, we don't want to take the
stage away from her. But it's well anytime, yeah, anytime.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
So that's why it's like, I don't, you know, I
don't want to share the intimate details because I feel
like that's on that's on them as a couple. But
it was really really fun, like just so much fun
and uh, just so much love in the room, Like
everybody was just happy. And I love weddings and this

(07:06):
wedding was epic.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Were you on the shuttle with anyone, Like, were you like,
oh my gosh, they're so and so in the shuttle.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
No, oh really? Uhuh the shuttles were smaller, like smaller shuttles.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Okay, yeah, so the shuttles. But you were with Paulina
and Sophia. Yes, correct, So you weren't just like a
lone ranger going into this correct. Correct.

Speaker 5 (07:25):
Oh, Robbie wasn't there.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
No, I was like a girl's weekend. Oh I know that, Yeah,
you were.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
It was in southern California. Correct, They announced that, so
knew you knew where you were in that regard.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Yeah, yes, And like that's the thing.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
I if I wanted to, I could have watched the
road and known where I.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Was going, But I just I don't think I would know.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah, that's what.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
You do when you go to a wedding and there's shuttles.
You just get on the shuttle trust that you're going.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Yeah, so you get into the wedding. Did you see
Was it like celebrities everywhere? Was it like people? Was
it just like friends and family that people that you
didn't recognize.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I mean, there was definitely a lot of people I recognized,
but then there's a lot of people that I didn't recognize.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
It was big yeah, yeah, Okay, yeah, that's really cool.
I know, who are the big ones?

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Back up, I don't know some of them. And you
just see, let me know if you can we.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
Talk about what we talked about this morning or no.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Yeah, I mean there was one big one that I
spoke to.

Speaker 5 (08:22):
You've had a moment with this person, and now Tanya
has had a moment with this person.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
But I'll tell you about it when we come back.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Oh my gosh, an early break.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
It works though, all right, we're back.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
So it's it's kind of hard to imagine there being
celebrities bigger. I mean, you think about Selena Gomez is like,
isn't she the most followed person on Instagram or something
that doesn't refer at a certain point.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
She's up there. I don't know, but.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
I mean, she herself is massive. So obviously the people
invited to such an event are the heavy hitters.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
Yes, just so you know, it's all soccer players right now.
Number one Ronaldo.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
That's what I was saying. I don't think she's number one.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
But then Lionel Messi then Selena.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Go see, I knew she was up there. Three's pretty impressive. Okay.
Some of the people included Steve Martin just apot him
in the crowd.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Yes, yes, these are all reported to be there.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
So I'm asking if you saw them.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Oh yeah, I definitely there was somebody there. I saw them.
It wasn't like oh that big Oh yeah.

Speaker 5 (09:45):
Did you have a moment with Steve Martin or no?

Speaker 2 (09:47):
No cheering?

Speaker 5 (09:49):
Yeah, what about Paul Did you have a moment with
Paul rud No moment with that cheering?

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (09:55):
No, Camilla?

Speaker 3 (09:57):
You know Camilla? Did you say did you say hello
to her? Okay? Yes, cfs.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
It's always funny when you go to events with Tanya
and the people that run up to her and say hey,
and it's just casual and you're just standing there like okay.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
Huh, well like a Camilla I've known forever.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
I've literally known her since she was like fifteen or something.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
It's just like a young teen so crazy Taylor Swift.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yes, Yes, in fact I did.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
And so again in these settings, I feel as though
I just want to, like you just want to respect everybody,
their their space, their space, do your own thing. She's
a guest, She's a very.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Prominent guest, like letter, you know.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Somehow Paulina becomes friends with her in this brief window
of time and we're just like casually walking by her.
And so Paulina was the one that was like, oh, Taylor,
you have to meet my best friend.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Tanya's only walking by.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
You're not casually walking by Taylor Swift talking to Paulina.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
No no, no no, I'm with Paulina and we will
walk by Taylor.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Does that make sense? So they had already met, they
had already messed.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
Was what was Taylor doing?

Speaker 2 (11:12):
I don't know. She was just like walking somewhere.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
I'm getting to the dance lord, because that's where we
were going, and she goes, this is my best friend, Tonna.
She walked down the aisle to one of your songs
and I was like, well, actually it was my first
dance and.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
I walked down the aisle to it.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
And again I'm so calm, Like I'm just like trying
to be calm because I love her, but also I'm
trying to be respectful.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Right.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
She was so kind, She like loved it. She asked
me what song and she was like that means so much.
I cannot explain to you how magical, regal, genuine, present,
locked in, I know, invested and normal I was like,

(12:03):
this is the craziest thing, like the craziest experience, Like
I had to let her think in I did see it,
and I audibly gasped like.

Speaker 5 (12:13):
Can we hear what that sounded?

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Like that's pretty mild for you.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
And Sophia were like, I'm so proud of like how
cool and calm you were. And I was like, at
the end of the day, like you're a business woman,
I'm a business woman, and I because I was like
I could go on and on and tell her how
much her songs have meant to me in the past,
how many hours I've spent crying to her music, how
many songs got me through breakups.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Like I could have gone down a deep.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Deep lore for her, and I chose not to, because
again she just here and enjoying her friend's wedding. Yeah,
but I will say she's a magical unicorn of a
human being and I'll never forget it.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
It's so interesting because she's got to be the most
famous famous person in the world. It has to be
King Charles, like, I'm trying to think of anyone who
would be at her level of known I guess, but
I'm even thinking beyond pop culture is there anyone in
the world more known than Taylor Swift?

Speaker 3 (13:20):
I guess.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
Saidel lionel Messi. And she's a billionaire, and so it's
so interesting to have that combination and just be like, hey,
how's going, Like I don't know, I don't know what
that would do to a person, but I guess it
hasn't done it to her.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
I mean, I guess yeah, because she was just so
a present is like the best way to describe it.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Because I said that I described that way too, because
you don't you would expect her to kind of be
like head on a swivel, where's my security?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Especially when I was like but no, like at all,
just and just genuine.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
There's not a there is not one bone of inauthenticity
in her.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
It's what it's what separates her into her own category.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
She makes me want to be a better person. Like
I'm not even joking. I left that conversation.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
I left that conversation being like wow, like I want
to make people feel like that, do you know what
I mean?

Speaker 2 (14:23):
You like when I'm talking to.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Them, like really engage and talk like I think sometimes
I can look at my phone or.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Like, yeah, that's what you were at the bar. I mean,
my first impression of you was not who I know
you to be, because you were just like who else
is coming? Don't care about her?

Speaker 2 (14:42):
No, she would not, she would not like.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
I genuinely feel like you make people feel that way.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
She made me want to be a better person in
that brief encounters. So moving forward, you will see a
more locked in present Tanya.

Speaker 5 (15:01):
Was she taller or shorter than you expected?

Speaker 2 (15:04):
She was exactly what I expected, but taller than you?

Speaker 5 (15:07):
Yes, yes, okay substantially.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
Well, my heels were quite I would imagine would.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, but she was exactly what
I remember feeling like she was smaller than I like,
I felt like she was taller in my head. She's tall,
but she wasn't as tall as she was in my head.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Oh really yeah? Yeah, she was exactly how I exactly
how I pictured her.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
How was her hair down or up?

Speaker 4 (15:35):
I don't know?

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Oh my god, I know.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
If people keep asking me, like what did everybody wear?
I literally have no.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
I literally couldn't tell you. Well, I know what she
was wearing, but I don't want to share her because
it's like.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
That's like we'll see pictures if they yeah, yeah, yeah,
did did y'all dance together?

Speaker 2 (15:51):
I would say no, I don't wouldn't say it was like,
could you imagine? I'm just trying to be respectful of people.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
I really appreciate you sharing and also being respectful to
the to the people's privacy.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
I mean, and that's the thing, Like Taylor is super
private and I respect that. It's like, I mean, I'm
just like a changed human being from that experience.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
I need a yes or no question. It's reported people
reported that Taylor and Ed both gave speeches. Did you
hear the speeches?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Well, I cannot confirm her.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
Sounds like she would have just hypothetically, if it's a
smaller wedding, she would have heard.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
That you were there for that part. Let's go with that. Well,
her new album does come out this weekend.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
It's just so serendipitous.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Yeah, any details coming out a couple of days.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
You could have said to her, knowing that I'm a
massive invisible string fan, what is my favorite song going
to be off the album? That would have been a
good question.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
I know, I know in hindsight, there was many things
I wish I would have shared, But I think it
was better.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
That I collected myself.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Was when you told Robbie about meeting her, was he like,
did he care that he missed that opportunity? No, he was.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
So happy for me. Oh my gosh. She was so
cute about it. Oh yeah, really really cute.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
I mean it's so iconic. Yeah, it's amazing. Can see
her ring kept close.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
I just can't like, it's just.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Well, I'm so happy for Selene. Selena looked like an angel.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
Yes, not even angel.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
It was like a theory out of this world, like
she really she looked so so good.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
Yeah, she looked amazing.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Happiness and love. Uh look good on people, you know.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Hmm, that's good.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Makes you blow from the inside out, that's it. That's
a that's a that's a look. That's priceless, you know.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Yeah yeah yeah, I can't put it. Can't put a
price on that. No, Wow, so pretty epic. We can.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Yeah. So I'm gonna retire.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Okay, So her album is coming out this week. I
feel like it would be. I've really been revisiting the
Midnights album Interesting.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
I've been going back to Red.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
Interesting. That's a nice fall intro. Red is a fall
intro album for some reason. I feel like Midnights we
kind of just moved on too fast because we got
it in the w Is that because we got it
in the fall of twenty twenty two and then twenty
twenty three she released Tortured Poets Apartment.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Yeah, so it just felt like rushed.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Yeah, so.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
I'm really excited about this album. I would like to
predict what we think our favorite song is gonna because
I think we did that for Tortured Poets Department, and
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
How accurate we were, Okay, but I'm just.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
Gonna simply off of if I like the title or not.
Oh wow, Okay, I think Oldest Daughter is gonna be
It's track number five, So something tells me I'm gonna
like that one interesting and weirdly, I feel like Honey
Honey is gonna be one that I love.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
M So I think The Life of a show Girl
is gonna be my favorite first of all featuring Sabrina,
and second of all, my favorite song on the Tortured
Poets Department was the Tortured Poets Department.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
There's no way, Yeah, that's your favorite song on the
Torture Poets Department.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
Yeah, I love it. Don't Sleep On It. No, I
love that album Don't Sleep on It? Okay, So I tend.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
To like the title.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
Oh sorry.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Read is also my favorite song on off Red Wow, yes,
not all too well no Red?

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Oh okay, okay, So.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
I think that it's a strong contender for my favorite.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Okay, it's gonna be poppy or yeah, poppy okay.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
And I also think I'm gonna like ruin the friendship.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Hmmmm, it sounds like a revenge type of song. Or
do you think it's gonna be a sad song?

Speaker 1 (20:10):
I think it's gonna be a like a like a
Oh I like someone that's my friend, but I don't
want to ruin the friendship. Oh, you're thinking it's that
and not the Blake Lively distract, Like, Yeah, I don't
think it's gonna be that.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
I think everybody's just saying that. I think it's gonna
be like.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
Oh, I haven't even thought of another way of looking.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
I think it's gonna be like I like you, but
I don't like you, but I don't want to ruin our friendship.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
Should I ruin our friendship? Or should I like not?

Speaker 3 (20:36):
I love that thing. I like that better than a
ruined friendship. Yeah, it's more like not so revengeful. Yeah,
I also think is it opal lte? Is that how
you say that?

Speaker 5 (20:50):
True?

Speaker 3 (20:50):
I think I'm gonna like that one. It's feeling cool.

Speaker 5 (20:55):
I'm concerned about canceled with the exclamation usually a red flag.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
It's giving me or Florida or Florida Florida.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
I mean it's fine because they needed the explanation point
in the title. I think that's a sign.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
I'm concerned about wishless with the dollar signs.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Oh, it's giving reputation.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
It does have a feeling. Yeah, I'm excited. I'm excited
for it.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
I'm so excited for it.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
I actually you know they announced who's doing the super
Bowl halftime show?

Speaker 3 (21:27):
Yeah, bad Bunny. Yeah huh.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
I was so convinced it was going to be Taylor.

Speaker 3 (21:31):
I know you did a full thing on the podcast.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
I was so convinced.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
But you know what it may have been because there
was a report last week and I don't know who
this blogger is, but every legit news organization kind of
picked it up, so he must be somebody decent. He
says that that was almost a done deal, but she
made demands where she wanted commercial time before and after it,
and the NFL said, we're not going to do that
because Taylor knows that they need her a lot more

(21:58):
than she needs them. So I think she asked for
the movie and they said they put a stop to it,
and they're going with Bad Bunny. I think he's second choice.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Well, Bad Bunny posted a photo. Was that his official
account that he posted a photo with Taylor Swift?

Speaker 5 (22:10):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
I'm gonna probably not, because everything is AI. Hold on,
everything is I saw photos that like Adele was going
to be the Super Bowl halftime performed, like everything's AI, Like,
how do you know what to believe?

Speaker 2 (22:25):
These days? It's too it's too unfortunate, and not him
that posted that.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Okay, I got dupe scammed, Boomered got boommered. Yeah, they're
saying I don't follow I don't follow Bad Bunny. So
as a suggested account, it had like over a thousand
comments and normally, you know, that feels like a legit account.
So there's an.

Speaker 5 (22:50):
AI actress, now do you see that? Tilly nor would Yeah, yeah,
oh yeah, there's a new AI actress. So you know,
is that the first time you're gonna get dupe, not
the last, and there she is. That's Tilly Norwood, the
new AI actress.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
It's freaky, it's like weird.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
It's just like so freaky, because then why why be
an actor anymore?

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Why do anything?

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Literally, there's a computer in AI me.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Soon we'll bring her in for the pod with my
AI actor.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
No, I don't want them to take over.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
No, we don't. But it's like all we saw these
movies that were predicting all this stuff and we were like, oh,
that feels crazy. Not in our generation. We have fully
signed AI actor.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
Yeah, it's kind of getting weird, getting little nutty.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
You're about to say something about bad Buddy and Taylor
and then we sidetracked.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Well, it wasn't a thing because it's not a real account.
Because I was thinking, isn't that weird? He posted a
photo with her, and then I was like, wait, was
that real? Let me look, and it certainly was not. Yeah,
but okay. So I asked Taylor Banks this question this morning.
If you had to convince someone who wasn't a Taylor
Swift fan to become a Taylor swif f, what are
the three songs you would show them?

Speaker 5 (24:03):
All?

Speaker 2 (24:03):
Too? Well? Ten minute version.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
Okay, really make them sit there.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Yeah, you're gonna give me your time, and you're gonna
give me a lot of it.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
You're gonna give her a chance. Yeah, ten minutes worth.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Shoot, this is the hard question. Do you have your
three mind ups?

Speaker 3 (24:18):
So my pop was I wanted to give them a
pop song, which was Cruel Summer. And then see, this
isn't necessarily one of my favorites, but I think it
would be a reason to get someone emotionally invested. Would
be Marjorie Oh yeah, because the lyrics are like really emotional.
And then Champagne Problems.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Wow. Yeah, three unexpected tracks.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
I know.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
But I'm like, just you, you're not going in with
your favorites. You're you're trying to show them the genius
lyricists that she is.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
I feel like, all too well, you can't.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
You cannot not appreciate that.

Speaker 5 (24:56):
I'm with you on that.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Yeah, So that feels solid. I go, is it over?

Speaker 3 (25:01):
That wasn't that was? That was my top five.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Because it just sends you on a journey, and that's
a good journey to go on. And then I know
this is going to be very controversial because whatever, but
New Romantics.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
It's fun. Yeah, i'd give it to you for the pop.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
My other one was Out of the Woods piano version
at the Grammy Museum, but you can only find it
through a deep detailed search on YouTube.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
And I didn't want to get there like hopes up
and not be able to find it. Yeah, so I
didn't try that to them later on, what are yours?

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Well?

Speaker 5 (25:35):
I like a cruel summer is great. I like that,
So go with yours and I'm gonna going with your
all too well. Thank you, And you know I'm a
big fan. I could have should have because there's three
separate solid hooks in that song and a killer bridge.
How that didn't get more love or at least placement
on a legitimate album is shocking to me.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
I agree.

Speaker 5 (25:53):
And also just the lyrics are so powerful, especially when
you give that this new person the backstory of John
Mayer or whatever it is, it's so much more powerful.
Give me back my girlhood it was mine first. Yeah,
those are my three.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Yeah, that's what I thought about. Is it over?

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Now?

Speaker 5 (26:10):
Like?

Speaker 2 (26:10):
How I how did that not make that album?

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (26:13):
I know.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
And there's a couple on Red too, like Babe and
Message in a Bottle like I love those.

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Yeah, I love messaging, but babe doesn't really like get
me going love? And how does this not make the
actual Oh you're losing me?

Speaker 2 (26:27):
That's why, you know.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
If you've gone through a breakup?

Speaker 2 (26:32):
What's still track from nineteen?

Speaker 4 (26:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (26:35):
I know?

Speaker 2 (26:35):
But is it from nineteen nine?

Speaker 3 (26:36):
I actually think it's for mid uh Lover? No, it's
some it's a I want to say it's a.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Is it over Now Deluxe? No, we're a vault.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
It's a deluxe or vault track. I want to say
it's Midnight's DeLux.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
No, Mark, I'm on it.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Anyways, that one's really good too.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
It was released as part of the nineteen eighty nine
re recording.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
All Yeah, what did you do this weekend?

Speaker 3 (27:04):
What did I do this week?

Speaker 5 (27:05):
Whatever we did is gonna pale compared to your.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
With that we did. We did throw Haley's mom a
surprise party, and it was our like we literally what
he died? Ever?

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Mind I have a story about your party?

Speaker 3 (27:19):
My party? Yeah, Okay, So we we're still like rented,
like doing all of our construction stuff, so nothing's actually
fully done, but we were like, yeah, it's good enough
to throw the party. So the night before I'm getting
like landscaping done. Haley's had someone come hanging string lights.
We're like renting tables and chairs all the things, and

(27:42):
it turned out beautiful. She was so surprised. It was, uh,
Haley's niece. We got she got to use our like
jacuzzie all the things. It was really fun. What are
you gonna say?

Speaker 1 (27:54):
So I we decided that we were hosting Thanksgiving this year,
and so we have a friend who helps us. She
like does event planning, and we don't have like the
tables and the chairs, so she helps kind of like
organize when we have events. And so I reached out
to her this weekend, I think it was this weekend
and just said like, hey, heads up, we're planning Thanksgiving

(28:15):
this year.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Can you help us?

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Da? Da da?

Speaker 1 (28:18):
And she responds and she's like, yeah, I'm loading in
Becca's event and I'll text you like later tonight. And
I was like, Becca's event? What event is having that
I'm not invited to? Turns out it was something for
Haley's mom, and which.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
Is the same thing. I was like, yeah for setting
up for the party. And I just assumed like maybe
Haley had told her, and she was like what party.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yeah, I was like, oh god, Becca's event a question mark,
question mark question mark. I was like, yeah, yeah, don't worry,
don't worry. You would be worry for like ten minutes.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
You had other plans, I was, I was previously engaged.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
Yeah, you would have been imagined I had thrown a
party and you said yes to me before you said
yes to that, what would you have done?

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Okay, if you were throwing a party and I said
yes to your party before I got invited to their wedding,
I would have gone to your party.

Speaker 5 (29:20):
No, yeah, no way.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
And then Paulina and Sofia are like, by the way,
we like just hung out with Taylor st at the
What would you do.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
My friendship is I'm more loyal?

Speaker 5 (29:32):
You're not telling the truth.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
By the way, let's.

Speaker 5 (29:38):
A friend of yours wedding is going to outweigh a
birthday party? Right, don't you think on the hierarchy of things, Well,
we have to just find what Becca's party was.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
What I would do is I would approach Becca and say,
my friend is getting married on this day, depending if
it was local, I would try to make it to both.
If I was already committed to you, but I think
I would be able to predict Becca and she would say, like, I.

Speaker 3 (30:06):
Really want you to be here.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
No, the wedding, Yeah, the wedding, yeah, I would have four.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Henceforth I would.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Have gone to the wait is that true?

Speaker 5 (30:16):
I don't am I wrong in that? I feel like
a wedding like in poker, you know, a full house
beats two pair. I feel like a wedding beats a
birthday party. I think there's a hierarchy of social events.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
I agree, because the wedding is once in a lifetime.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
Exactly right.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
But what if it's like a fortieth or thirty, Like,
what if it's a big birthday or you're having like
a like a full party, which is essentially a wedding,
is like.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
A big party right now, right right right?

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Yeah, don't worry.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
I don't think I'll put you in that position. But
you can invite it to Taylor's wedding.

Speaker 5 (30:53):
But oh yeah, we've heard. By the way, there's rumors
of the date of that. I know.

Speaker 3 (30:56):
I saw it on TikTok, and I feel like it's
this big rumor going around I think is legit, though
you do, I do, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (31:03):
I also know someone with firsthand knowledge, the same as that.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Heres get started.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
But it's all the same thing. A friend of a
friend whose friend works at the venue, A.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Friend of a friend whose friend works.

Speaker 5 (31:16):
With his friend I know is from that state and
so she knows.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
People like, do we know everything that happens in California?

Speaker 5 (31:22):
I do? No, you do not?

Speaker 4 (31:24):
I do?

Speaker 3 (31:25):
I do not. Well, whenever the date is, I'm sure
it'll be stunning, a stunning venue, lots of security. You
won't be able to get into that one without a
secure invite. You might need to wear like certain contacts
to get in. They scan your eyes or something.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Oh my gosh, that'd be cool.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
That would be really that's listen, we have an AI actress.
It's not that far fetched. Okay, wait, have you ever
watched The Golden Bachelor any of the seasons?

Speaker 2 (31:55):
I tried.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
It was just, oh yeah, you got sad, because there's
like it was like just sad. The first season was
like tear jerk or something. Yeah. Well, the new season
started and he had like a controversy leading up to it.
And it's regardless of you if you watched the first episode.
It's something I want to talk about. But we're gonna
take a break, all right. So the new Golden Bachelor,

(32:40):
he's like a former NFL football player or something, and yeah,
for like the rant, like, yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
I wonder if probably knows him, well, he's older, he's like,
he knows him, knows of him, he knows all these
like people who are in like the Rock of Fame and.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Stuff, Rock of Fame, Fame, Hall of Fame, into sports,
Like you know a lot about these?

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Yeah, I don't. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
Like how he was trying to tell me the story
this weekend about some Hall of Famer whose son plays
now and just did something.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
This is ringing a.

Speaker 3 (33:14):
Bell for anybody, which also brings me to what's the
other show where they're trying to like live like our
Marine people Special Forces.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
It's back.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
Yeah, it's a new season. It's Jesse Decker, Sean Johnson, Jesse,
James Decker, Jesse j Decker, Teresa from House lives in
New Jersey and her daughter jud Uh huh no, I'm
trying to think who uh, Brittany Cartwright from.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
Lander p that's a good cast.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
It's pretty good. Yeah, I just love the show.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
I like the show too.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
Anyways, So the Golden bachelor on the podcast, like back
in June, he said his ideal age of the woman
he'd want to date would be forty five to sixty.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
Okay, he's sixty six.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
I think some.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
People are like forty five.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
It's like crazy, like why you know? But in my
mind I'm like, of course, like he's a man, of
course he's gonna go like as low as he sorry, But.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Also, like he said, forty five to sixty, like they
can't be his age.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
Right, He's like, forty five to sixty would be his
ideal age for a woman that.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
He is so annoying.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
So of course they've cast these women who are forty
five to sixty. No, they're older. They're in that his
age range, which is what I think. They're like sixty
to seventy Oh is like.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
There the current season fifty eight to seventy seven.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Oh wow, okay, fifty seventy seven and he's sixty six?
Is that right?

Speaker 5 (34:45):
He is sixty six?

Speaker 3 (34:45):
Okay. So there's this element now of all these women
who heard the podcast and they like they're like, so
what was that about? And now there's this element of
them like almost feeling like they have to prove that
they're good enough for him. I hate that that, no,
but the women are amazing and I'm hoping he like

(35:07):
warms up a little bit. He's a little like stiff
so far. But the women are like beautiful and successful
and just like you can tell they're all like girl.
You know, there's that like girls girl vibe. But it's
a good I would say, try it. It's not as
sad yet. I'm sure the stories are talking about that.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
I'm very busy because the new season of this of
Survivor forty nine just started, so just ended.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
I thought you just watched a finale.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
I'm glad you ask.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
I just watched Australia Versus the World, which was an
Australian Survivor with World players.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
I'm in deep. You know you're in deep when you're
watching other show. Yes, So I just finished that.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
But this is the USA Jeff Probes season Official Survivor USA.
So this is forty nine, and the next season is fifty,
which is the one they're bringing everybody back for, which
is going to.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Be like epic.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
So I'm really excited for a season fifty, but I'm
obviously gonna watch forty nine.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
It's forty nine just new people, like people you haven't
met yet.

Speaker 2 (36:16):
Correct, Okay, yeah, Normy's Normy.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
And then fifty they'll bring back like poverty like Rob. Oh,
it's parverty.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
I don't think it's coming back up.

Speaker 5 (36:24):
For fifty yours Rob. But they haven't been an All
Star season.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
At all since forty.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
I think forty was the last one, so it's been
ten seasons. Wow, not that I'm counting.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
No.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
I love when they bring back the oji's, but I
think like Ozzie's coming back, Mike White.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Who did White Lotus.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
They're bringing back a lot of iconic players, and I
cannot wait.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
Okay, okay, you know who.

Speaker 5 (36:45):
I'm excited. Sorry, I can't make fun of my guess.
Think there's always to mock Tanya when I can. But
I'm as into Survivor. I'm just not as caught up.
We're still on forty eight. But Stephanie's coming back. Stephanie
le Grosser. Remember she was her own tribe. Every other
person on her tribe was eliminated. She was the last
person standing.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
Nope, Okay, we don't care them.

Speaker 3 (37:06):
She's not that.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Survivor is actually one of those I saw her face.
The names the names go in and out. If I
saw the face, I would know.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
Then I'll bring up her face. The face that's Stephanie.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
Oh oh yes, forever ago.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
She's coming, sheers, Oh yeah she was. Yeah, No, she's probably.
If my wife and I had to name a favorite
survivor contestant is probably.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Robbie loves her as well.

Speaker 5 (37:28):
She's great.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
Robbie loves her as well.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
This is great news for everybody's Anatomy is coming back.
I think this week.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Yeah, oh yeah, this week we're going to the cake cutting.

Speaker 5 (37:41):
Yeah it is not this week.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
Oh my gosh, what.

Speaker 5 (37:46):
It's October ninth, So it's a week from thirteen.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Why do I feel like we've been waiting for this
premiere forever? Okay, So Brittany Escoto are from Brittany. Yeah,
she's watching Grayce and and Me the very beginning for
the very first time. Oh wo And she's just had
a baby about a month ago, and so she like
watches What at night while she's up and she's in deep.

(38:11):
So today I get a text and don't give any
spoilers when I tell you this, that she goes she
was on the House of Candles episode you know.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Oh, he asked her to marry him.

Speaker 3 (38:20):
You remember when he's like with Rope, No, he didn't
ask her to marry Come on, It's like I think
tis in four finale.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Freedom.

Speaker 5 (38:31):
It's not called House of Candles.

Speaker 3 (38:32):
I know, but references the House of Candles. She's like,
oh my gosh, she has to go break up with Rose.
Please tell me he doesn't get in a car accident.
I need you to prepare me. And I'm like, man,
getting to watch that show in some of those episodes
with fresh eyes is a gift.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
So I have been telling I want Robbie. Robbi's never
seen an episode of Grey's Anatomy, and I'm like, I
think he would really enjoy it watching it from yes,
from the beginning, right like season at least season one
through nine.

Speaker 5 (39:01):
It's just such a commitment, like, Hey, you want to
watch Breaking Back.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Australia, sixty episodes of Love Island UK, USA Australia.

Speaker 5 (39:12):
But if you asked me to start a full length,
twenty two episode a season show from the start, I'd
be like, I gotta I gotta live my life.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
I want him to just commit the first eight seasons.

Speaker 5 (39:22):
I would he's not going to finish that before he's
fifty years old.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
No way, we could finish that, they watched. We can
finish that, like ice cream on a Sunday.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
We could like ice cream Sunday or ice cream.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
Ice cream on a Sunday, just finish it.

Speaker 3 (39:37):
I had ice cream on a Sunday yesterday.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
I know, And I saw your ice cream and it
made me want ice cream, and I love ice cream.
I'm so sick.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
Okay, I see Beca sends me this picture of her
like dairy queen.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
And I'm like, oh my god, yeah on a Sunday.
Then I jump on.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
Robbie and I'm like, so, I'm kind of craving something,
but I don't know what it is. Can you help me?
Because I wanted him to say, like, let's go get
you ice cream. He goes, He goes, We have parmesan chunks,
we have olives, like he was just naming off all
the stuff in our fridge and I was like, no,
I don't really want that. I don't really want that.

(40:17):
We have peanut butter and jelly. Do you want peanut
butter and je No, I don't really want that.

Speaker 5 (40:21):
Why are you playing this game?

Speaker 2 (40:22):
I don't know? And he never got to where I
wanted him to why you.

Speaker 5 (40:26):
To say, Robbie, I am grabbing ice cream. Let's go
get some ice cream.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Because we were like in bed and like ready to
go to sleep.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
It was at seven o'clock at night.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
We were in bed and ready to sleep. At six thirty,
I looked at.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
Haley and I go, I really want dary. I want
a dipped cone. That's what I really wanted. But like
I didn't want to leave the house because dairy Queen's
in a mall and it was like Park.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
I was just like, uh yeah, and She's like, well
they have blizzards.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
I was like, all right, it'll do.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
So I walked down downstairs the kitchen eate my set
step son's ice cream.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
Oh good, Yeah, okay, you got some ice cream? I
did What kind was it?

Speaker 2 (41:03):
Cookies and cream?

Speaker 3 (41:04):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (41:04):
Great?

Speaker 3 (41:08):
What brand?

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Not sure?

Speaker 5 (41:12):
Let me ask you this ice cream frozen yogurt, gelato, custard,
which is the best?

Speaker 2 (41:19):
So good? I think Gelatto.

Speaker 5 (41:24):
I think you might be right.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
I think I love gelotto too.

Speaker 5 (41:26):
I went for gelato last night with my daughter and
it was phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Yeah. Something just about ice cream is hit.

Speaker 5 (41:34):
Yes, I love like.

Speaker 3 (41:35):
A soft serve, like Dairy Queen's song that could.

Speaker 5 (41:38):
Be another category.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
Yeah, yeah, that really hits. Just like a vanilla cone.
Sometimes all you need dipped in chocolate. If it's dipped
in chocolate.

Speaker 4 (41:45):
Bonus Play, they have one.

Speaker 5 (41:46):
This is not for everybody, but they have the Mister
Misty Kiss at Dairy Queen. It's like a red It's
like a cherry slushy and then they put a vanilla
soft serve right through the middle of it. Man, that
is heaven to me.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
I don't think I need that.

Speaker 5 (41:58):
I know you don't, but I I do.

Speaker 3 (42:01):
Love anything cherry though, and the cherry mixes with the
vanilla so well.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
I do love like a creamsicle, like an orange grecle
where it's like orange and vanilla.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Yeah, I do enjoy that.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
I can't imagine wanting ice cream and someone suggesting pan
and all this. Yeah, I would just walk on that.
K No, I'm out, I'm out of here.

Speaker 1 (42:29):
I was just like wanting that camaraderie, you know, like
my partner being like.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
Yeah, let's go get ice cream, and he just like.

Speaker 4 (42:34):
It to me that type.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
I was like, Okay, I'm just gonna walk myself down
the stairs.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
Yeah, your dessert love is somewhere where you and Robbie
are not quiet, you're not alive, Yeah at all. I
understand sometimes you just miss miss each other on those things. Yeah,
you know. Should we end with some sentences that change
people's lives just so they can leave this podcast feeling
and encourage and inspired love it? This is according to Busfeed.

(43:01):
Is Busfeed still likes to read bus Feed all the time.

Speaker 5 (43:04):
I don't think it is what it was, but it's
still there.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
Quizes I loved a BuzzFeed Yeah.

Speaker 5 (43:08):
Agreed, all right. Well, BuzzFeed rounded up some readers life
changing sentences from friends or therapists or strangers, and here
are some of them. Everyone you meet knows something that
you don't facts this person says. A coworker once told me.
Nobody on their deathbed says, I wish I had worked more.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
I think people need to hear that because we live
in a society that's like grind, hustle, work until you're dead.
And you go to other places in the world and
they don't live like that, and you're like, wow, this
is when you go on vacation to places that don't
live like that, you can feel your body shift, not
only because you're on vacation, but you can feel like

(43:50):
no one's in a rush. Everyone's just like they they sleep.

Speaker 1 (43:53):
They's a vacation to places where everything shuts down. Every
store is shut down on a Sunday. You need a
little medicine on a Sunday, you ain't going anywhere. You
better stock up on Saturday because it is a bad example.

Speaker 5 (44:06):
Medicine in it.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
Now, I know, but you can't get it.

Speaker 5 (44:09):
You stuck up for every medicine.

Speaker 1 (44:10):
I'm just saying you can't get it. Like it was
like everything we're shut down on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
I was like, wow, that is so crazy.

Speaker 5 (44:16):
My parents used to ask me will this matter in
ten years when I was upset. It was annoying at
the time, but it put things into perspective. I do
that with my daughters. A year from now.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
This is meaningless to you, Yeah, not even a year.

Speaker 5 (44:27):
Depends on what it is. Just because you spent years
making the same mistake doesn't mean you have to keep
making it. Cycles regarding exercise, you can treat it as
something you have to get through, or you can treat
it as an opportunity to do something hard. In terms
of relationships, stop watering dead and fake plants. My best

(44:52):
boss said, I don't care what you screw up, learn
from it and don't do it again.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
Tough.

Speaker 5 (44:58):
But here's one you're going to be fifty anyway from
a friend of mine because I was hesitant about going
back to college to get a degree because by the
time I graduated, I would be fifty. And they said,
but you're going to be fifty anyway. Oh So I
did it, and I started an amazing second chapter of
my life.

Speaker 3 (45:15):
That's so inter that is, that's impactful. That is because
you like, don't do things because you're scared of like, well,
I'm going to be this old, but you're going to
get that old anyway.

Speaker 5 (45:25):
Right, it's socially acceptable to have an unexpressed thought. Tania
is not aware of this, but it is.

Speaker 3 (45:31):
Excuse me, Tanya did it this weekend. I'm sure she
had a lot of unexpressed thoughts.

Speaker 1 (45:36):
I had a lot of things going through my head
that I did not express. Thank you very much, more
so because I was just in shock.

Speaker 5 (45:42):
H I remember my dad saying, if you're going to
give me roses, do it while I'm alive, because I
can't smell them when I'm dead, meaning don't waste chances
to show people you love them.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (45:53):
And uh, as someone who was often guilty of catastrophizing,
one thing that helps. If I'm worried about something, What
if it goes wrong with the switch it instead too?

Speaker 2 (46:02):
What if it goes right?

Speaker 5 (46:03):
Well? And the last one, which you've said before, the
things you're not changing you are jues.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
That's my favorite.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
Yeah, I'm reading a book right now and believe it
or not, and they were one of my favorite quotes
is like the difference of bravery and courage. And we've
talked about this before. When I remember it specifically of
when I came out publicly with Hailey and it was
like feeling like scared and it's like courage is being

(46:36):
scared and doing it anyway changed my perspective on like
that feeling of being scared to try something new, you know,
something challenging. So there you go. I hope that was
inspirational for the rest of your week till Thursday when
we'll be back. We will be back with a Dear
Bonia episode. I know you've missed our advice column, so

(46:58):
we'll be back on Thursday to give the people what
they want.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
We love you so much.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
We love you so much. Have a wonderful day. Love you,
continued B

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
