Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's another week, which means there's more headlines. We're here
to break down all the headlines happening in Bachelor Nation.
The first one is this Bachelor star Joey and fiance
Kelsey are living with her friends.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Yeah, they call it a new girl like situation because
Joey is sharing a bathroom not with not just with
his fiance, but with two of her girlfriends. So, how
this actually happened was his credit score tanked during the
Bachelor and I was like, how does that happen? Well,
(00:42):
what happened is that he had like a credit card
payment that he didn't pay off and he didn't get
any alerts about it because he didn't have his phone.
So a very delayed credit card payment. And then he
also said that there was something that he bought online.
It was a few hundred bucks. He never paid that off,
(01:04):
and then he went on the TV show, came back,
came back with a credit score that was bombed so
bad that he couldn't even get he couldn't even rent
an apartment. The Bachelor couldn't even get an apartment to
rent after the show because his credit score got so
bad from this missed credit card payment or so, so
(01:27):
that's very funny.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
It's sad, it's sad. It makes it. He's not the
only one that we've heard this story from. I feel
like I've heard this kind of story before, where you
have like a small purchase or like a bill that
sat out there that you didn't even know of, and
then all of a sudden, one day you get like
a letter in the mail that's saying there's like seizing
your assets because you've owed a one hundred dollars bill
(01:51):
that you never paid, an interested combined on it, and
now it's like two thousand dollars. This is this is
not uncommon feel form though it's sucks.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
So I wonder like it's like one of those things
that you also are just like, Okay, well, hi, how
do I explain this to like the credit report people?
You can like, That's what sucks about credit reports is
that it's so hard to fix. You can't really like
fix a problem. You just have to build your way
up and rebound.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Well, if there's one thing Joey knows how to do,
it's build himself up and rebound. He's great at it.
He's a star. He and Kelsey are gonna be great.
Speaker 3 (02:31):
And then Kelsey said that, like, you know, they're doing great,
sharing the whole whatever we want to call it, New
Girl Situations, Slash three his company. But the one thing
that he does always overspend on is golf.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Good for him. I knew I liked him. I like
him a lot. He's a solid man, don't we all?
Golden Bachelor Gary and Teresa settle divorce too after announcing
they're split.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Well, I guess a lot of people are wondering, like,
what is there to really settle now? It took two
months for them to settle the divorce. They were married
for three months. The question is what really needed to
be separated. I'm thinking the biggest thing was probably the
(03:25):
live wedding payment. In any sort of like paid treatments
that they had together, even like family feud, probably paid enough,
and uh yeah, there was definitely that. Definitely the wedding thing,
which I wonder if they were like smart enough to
have them paid to like two separate corporations, or if
(03:48):
it was paid to them together as a couple with
like their names together on a check. I don't know
about that.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Seems pretty easy to me. I make things a lot simpler.
They need to be fifty to fifty split. We're done,
get out of here, let's go move.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
There's there's no reason not to have a fifty fifty split.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Yeah, what are we arguing for? Bachel Nations. Emily Ferguson
and husband William Carlson are expecting baby number two.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Yep, it's another boy. Congratulations to you guys. Their first son, Beckham,
is twelve months so these kids are gonna be really
close together. But it was very much planned. Emily wanted
the kids to be super close together in age, and
I wonder if that has anything to do with the
fact that she and her best friend's sister are twins.
(04:42):
So she was also very surprised that it was another
boy because she said that this pregnancy has been different
than her last. She's felt better, she's been less sick
than she was the first time, and felt I felt
the exact same way with this second kid. I was like, oh,
the pregnancy is so different, it must be a girl.
(05:04):
And that's not what it was in either of these situations.
But they are very excited and we're excited for them.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Bachelor Nations. Jason Tartick goes Instagram official with Kat Stickler
after months of dating rumors. Now, we talked about this
a little bit last week when we were together. However,
with Blake and g we talked about it with who
obviously knows Jason and Katts a couple well, but Ashley
(05:44):
Philison on the updates any things we did it talk
about with Blake and.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
G Well, they're saying that they met when they recorded
an episode of Trading Secrets, his podcast together, but that
episode didn't air until and they were one hundred percent
together before April. I think the episode was perhaps banked.
I think that she. I think they may have banked
(06:11):
it because of their chemistry unless Jason banks podcast and
when I mean bank you guys, I mean like holds
onto them before the release for quite some time. Because
what he posted about this week on his Instagram was
a picture and with a picture from before they went
(06:32):
out on their first date, which happened to happen after
kind of a very romantic moment on a plane. So
Kat had boarded a plane after what seems to be
their first podcast recording together, and she was talking to
him on the phone while sitting on the runway and
(06:54):
said like, I don't have my daughter this weekend, and
I just am feeling very compelled to get off of
this plane and see you and spend the weekend with you.
And he said, do it. And then she, after the
entire plane was boarded, got up and said basically like
gotta go see about a guy. And that was that
(07:19):
and they went on their first dinner date that night.
So my thought is that perhaps because everything unraveled so
fast that he was like, oh, let's hold this episode back,
see if you know, we really become a what happens
from this, because I think they've been together since January
is certainly not April.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Oh big news though, unless.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
I'm interpreting it wrong and like it was. Another podcast recording.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
Katie Bigger reveals how many kids she and Zach want
and when their wedding will be So.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
They don't have a real day, yeah, but they're looking
at venues. They have a good feeling about one, and
they're thinking about October or November twenty twenty five. And
then as far as kids go, she says, so many
questions about this and I have to say same whenever
I do Q and as on Instagram, I almost want
(08:20):
to preface the whole Q and A first by saying that, like,
I get eighty percent of the questions that I get
are about kids. So it's like people out there who
are not interested in kids, like, I'm sorry, this is
like what I'm predominantly being asked about. And she says same,
they would like to have two or three. But she
also said, I'm going to listen to my body and
(08:42):
see what it's capable of, and you know, and once
where parents see what we'll be able to handle. It's
a great answer.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
I feel like the two of them are going to
be really good parents and they're going to enjoy it
a lot. You know, they have kind of taken the
quieter route here. They seem to have a lot of
fun together. They got to get the little unit going.
It's one of the best success stories from the show
that you know a lot of people don't talk about,
and they should. Katie and Zach are going strong well.
(09:11):
Michelle Young shares what her parents really think of boyfriend
Jack and Michelle and Jack's future plans.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Well, basically, they loved him right off the bat.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
He's really great. By the way, I really like that guy.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
He's very nice. Did you meet him at the Golden wedding.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Yeah, yeah, we hung out quite a bit and he's
a really nice so.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
She said, Jack's one of those people that you instantly
trust with your life the moment you meet him, and
my parents started including him on family trips pretty much immediately,
so that tells you everything you really need to know.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
She said.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
He also took the initiative to pull him aside and
tell them his intentions with me, so there was a
lot of trust.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
From the start. Power move. What a power I know, right.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Wow. She also said that they recently posted about like
a bubbling very annoying toilet and and they ended up
evacuating that apartment since they weren't able to solve the
mystery bubbling toilet after nine months of dealing with the issue,
so they just had to move on. They temporarily moved
(10:12):
in with her sister and that that helped them kind
of figure out their next plan. The new digs are
coming very soon, so officially living together. And it seems
as if you know, he has a already pulled a
bachelor move by asking the parents for permission.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
I mean, it's pretty solid. Can't hate on the dude
for that. That's awesome, Ashley. Final headline is this, it
looks like Joey is kind of hinting at going on
another reality television show, but we don't know exactly which one.
What do you know?
Speaker 3 (10:49):
It seems like he's teasing a big payday because he
was talking about money on Jason's podcast Trading Secrets and
said that he's expecting an influx very soon, and a
lot of people are thinking that perhaps this is Dancing
with the Stars. Yeah, because Dancing with the Stars is
(11:10):
kind of known for being a very well paid reality show,
and it also is like the natural go to for
most bachelor leads after the show except for you.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Yeah, they say no to me. I'm kind of glad
that would be so embarrassing. Well, good for Joey, I mean,
it sounds like money is going to be very valuable
to him since his credit scores. I yeah, you're right.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
I do feel bad about the credit score. It's like, wow,
that like just really sucks.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Well, if he has enough cash, he doesn't need credit
and that is a lesson in life. That's all the
headlines we have for you today. Very excited about what's
to come. Obviously, we have gen season of The bachelor
Atte right around the corner, along with some great interviews
coming out that we're really excited to share with you all.
We can't tell you who yet because they're secrets. Secrets
are fun, especially when you subscribe to almost in this podcast,
(12:07):
but we do have some great interviews coming your way.
We are excited for what the future holds. If you
haven't listened yet to our recap of Jin's men for
the next season of The Bachelorette, please go back and
listen to that follow along.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
People love Ben's take.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
It's so informative. I mean, it is so informative. You're
gonna learn so much. But until next time, I've been Ben, I.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
