Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the Ben and Ashley I almost Famous podcast
with iHeartRadio here.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's almost famous podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
We absolutely are loving this season of life in podcasting
and in Bachelor Nation. We're having a blast with this.
In fact, it's probably as much fun as I've had
doing this podcast since maybe the first or second year.
So today we're breaking down well, Bachelor in Paradise, which
Ashley and I both agree was a tremendous episode.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Fantastic episode.

Speaker 5 (00:30):
But you know why because people we care about a
lot were very heavily present in this episode. There were
there were the leads, to be honest, you know, we
had a lot of Rachel time. I like Rachel more
and more every time.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I s great, Absolutely fantastic.

Speaker 5 (00:49):
Yeah, and then we also got a lot of Katie
Thurston and Blake, two people that we also have spent
hours and hours watching. So I thought that those were
two really compelled storylines in this episode. There was a
little bit of a little boring side. The most boring
part for me was watching the double date between Sam

(01:12):
and Peter because Sam and Peter were not really invested
in and.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Then with Kylie and Avin.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
Now Kylie Navian was nice to see some development in
their relationship, because you know, we feel like they're probably
one of the stronger couples, but we haven't seen a
ton from them. And then, just to go into the
sequential ordering of the episode, then Katie comes down. That's
super interesting, and then the roast happens. Now, the roast

(01:42):
is interesting. So Tanner Tolbert brought up to Jared during
Chris and Lauren's wedding festivities fift festivities that he says,
isn't like the way that most of the drama this
season is coming from seemingly produced segments like, of course,
you guys, it's produced that Katie Thurston is going to
come down and lead a comedic roast, like the contestants

(02:04):
didn't on their own come up with a comedic roast, right,
And then the other thing is the secrets box, And
we had a secrets box segment this episode two. So
I get it, But I also think that's probably there's
probably not a lot going on, just because I don't
think this this group really feels each other enough for

(02:27):
there to be like a ton of authentic drama.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
So let's start at the beginning.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Obviously, this is a great episode to break down we're
gonna start with part one, which we'll consider part one
Michael's Date.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Obviously, we left on a cliffhanger last week Michael's Date.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
I forgot about that.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
We didn't know who Michael was going to choose. We
knew that Olivia felt like, in our opinion, the right
one for him. We do see Kat not surprisingly fully
supporting the idea that Michael would go on a date
with Olivia.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Because Kat wants to be home alone with.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
John Henry. She just wants to make out with John Henry.
She wants Olivia away. So we get to Michael's date,
and who does Michael pick. Michael picks Olivia.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
And you're right, Michael does pick Olivia.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Last week I was saying he wasn't going to for
drama's sake, but I didn't know.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
I was kind of convinced with you too, Like I
was like, yeah, I think he's gonna pick Olivia because
it's really the only one that makes sense here, like
nobody else really makes sense. However, I could see it
going the opposite direction. I will say this, just add
this in. I was not shocked that he picked Olivia,
because there is no way in chance the show wants
Olivia to go home. She is too much of the
show and she's too good on this show.

Speaker 5 (03:35):
Well, it's unfortunate though, it's so late in the season that, like,
even though the two of them will exchange ross or whatever,
it's the girls giving out the ross this week, which
we don't see the rose ceremony, but we go into
the lead in We're not gonna see a lot of them.
They're not gonna make it. This is not gonna be
an engaged couple. He comes in too late. Olivia is
very taken by him though, and Olivia is just absolutely hilarious.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
She goes ring sigh to.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Be determined, but I'm about to be taken And then
right after saying that, and yes, it's probably clipped this
way either way, she's in an interviewing go and dog
about this man, and then the producer goes, what's his
name again?

Speaker 4 (04:14):
She forgets the man's name.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Yes, so freaking funny.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
She just keeps saying, like, this is an attractive man.
That's a good looking man.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
She's so funny, she's great, she's been good for Paradise.
This is really her element. Well, they do kiss, Olivia
and Michael do kiss. There is some excitement. As you said,
we're pretty far through the season, so who knows how
this ends, but we do know that there's some excitement
when it comes to that couple. And here are the
other couples that currently exist on the beach at this point,

(04:48):
Kat and John, Henry, Avan and Kylie, Aaron and Eliza,
Blake and Jess, Sam and Peter, Mercedes and Tyler, Michael
and Olivia, now Tanner and Rachel. But we do have
two new arrivals. We have two new guys showing up
to the beach, Jordan and Taylor.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
Taylor was a eliminated Night one of Charity season and
he's actually of a couple of night winners and we
get it, there's always one night winner that the producers
were like, oh, that's unfortunate they got eliminated. Will definitely
have them back for Paradise. I think Olivia is also
a night winner. But having this guy Taylor, who has
absolutely no personality and it's just filling a spot. I'm like,

(05:27):
come on, guys, you couldn't convince one other of Charity
or another Bachelorette seasons guys to come on this show.
It's feeling, it's feeling weird that it does feel some
people are willing to come on the show now.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Well, it is odd because there's so many people. I
bet if we sat down long enough and said, hey,
like who would we like to see on Paradise. There's
so many people that we didn't see this year on
Paradise that I know you and I have both wanted
to be there, and it does. I mean, it used
to be kind of crazy if a Night Winner was
brought to the beach, right, I mean, it was a
big deal.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
It's usually just a standard one, always one.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
But this year we've had a lot of contestants, so
we just aren't connected with Like Bachelor Nation is having
to going to Google and say, you know, Taylor Charity
season just to figure out who it is.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Yeah, uh huh Okay.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
So Taylor comes in, but he comes in with Jordan,
who I do remember quite vividly from Rachel and Gaby
season because Jordan was that very adorable guy race car driver,
made a seriously good first impression night one and then
goes on to her first one on one date. And
in this episode, Rachel admits that she made a mistake
in eliminating him so early. Should have given him more

(06:36):
of a chance. So it just seems natural that the
two of them are going to go on this date
when Jordan gets the date guard and they do and
they do Tandric yoga, and it is the they got chemistry.
They have mad chemistry, and they also kiss on their
first date back a year and a half ago.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
But didn't we say this, like Ashley, We were.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Like, Rachel, what, Rachel?

Speaker 5 (06:57):
What?

Speaker 4 (06:57):
You guys have something?

Speaker 5 (06:59):
I I think maybe she was just taking her role
too seriously on that first one on one where she
was like, if I don't see him as my husband
at this point, then I have to eliminate him, because
I'm assuming it's like a learning process. It was her
first date as a bachelorette.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Yeah, somebody should have gotten in her ear though, been like, yeah,
even if you don't think he has yet, he's good
enough to give him time. And obviously there was chemistry.
I mean this date it radiates chemistry for me. I
am a little surprised.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Now.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Granted, I don't think he had a lot of choices, right,
there's not a lot of single people still on the beach.
I'm surprised that he was willing to give it a
second shot, he was lingering.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
Okay for both of them, like oh, we have to
do this because like we're going to wonder what if
for too long. She was so happy to get the
invite and the chemistry was great. It was like it
was palpable, Like I really felt it, which is.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Why I was shocked.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
When she comes home, Tanner brings up the fact that like, Oh,
I'm just I was kind of disappointed to see you
go on the date because I gave you my Rose
the Roast ceremony the night before because I was in
you know, she said, he said that, and then she
was like, but I thought it was like a friendship Rose,
And I'm like, Rachel, what what do you mean a
friendship ros? You guys had a sexy makeout before that

(08:17):
roads was handed to you. That was a really hot makeout.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
It was, but remember it was set up. It was like, Hey,
you're attractive, I'm attractive. You want to make out.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
It wasn't like a I felt like friends. I don't
think it felt like friends.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
I think it would feel more like, hey, you and
I are both on the beach, were the two single
people here. You're attractive, I'm attractive. I want to have
some like physical intimacy. I want to feel like connected
to somebody. I haven't really since I've been here. Let's
make out they did. I just didn't feel like it
was anything worth speaking of, Like could I see them
going on a date?

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Yes? Do I think there was any type of relationship here?
Not at all.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
I thought it was significant because his that kiss made
him in some way not choose Davia, who he was
gaga over before the date, during the date, supposedly after
the date, so that that was the hottest kiss he's
ever had, was with Davia. And then he goes and
picks Rachel. So in my head, I'm like, oh, he

(09:17):
really likes Rachel. So I was confused why Rachel didn't
think otherwise.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
And that's interesting and very true. Something happened between him
and Davia that ended it, and we just want to
see it. And that was the frustrating part about last week.
We felt like there was too many like loose ends
that we just didn't get any clarity to. That was
maybe one of the most confusing to us, was Okay,
this was such a good relationship and then all of

(09:43):
a sudden it's done. We don't know, we don't see
them have a discussion. We don't see them talk about it.
We don't see them have any type of separation and breakup.
And honestly, when he met with Rachel, I thought it
was more in the perspective of you and I are
both don't have anybody here at this point, like do
you want to hang out? So at that point when
and they sat down together, I think Davey and Tanner
were already done for whatever reason that we don't get,

(10:06):
you know that we're not privy to see.

Speaker 5 (10:08):
Yeah, okay, alrighty, So anyway, I love all this with
Rachel because again, I just like really like watching her
and I just think she's a sweet soul. And Okay,

(10:30):
so basically Tanner says that first thing, and then they
take a break from each other and she.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Talks to who does she talk to? She talks to
one of.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
His friends and it is like no, no, no, Tanner
is like really into you.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
And then they go and they talk.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
And then Tanner is vulnerable and mushy and adorbs for
the first real time to me, like, I was like,
oh wait, maybe I'm going to root for this, because
in my head after seeing the Jordan date, I was like, ah, no,
Rachel and Jordan, they've got to keep this going.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
They made the.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
Mistake before to not keep it going, and now they're
seeing that there really is something.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Got to keep it going.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
But then Tanner was so freaking cute and talking about
how he says, like he comes home all day long
he thinks about wanting a girlfriend and spend Yeah, it
was just just the most adorable thing. And he's just
really serious about finding someone. And then they kiss and
she says that that was like the most special, attractive

(11:30):
thing she's ever heard a guy say, or at least
that guy down there on that beach.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
And I was like, all right, I guess I'm Jim Tanner.
Now I don't know. Can she just she's the bachelorette
in Paradise?

Speaker 5 (11:43):
Which is why I thought later in the episode it
was weird that they kept making it seem like she
was sort of trying to talk herself out of options,
Like why is the bachelorette in Paradise not with a guy?
I'm like, right now, she seems to be interested in both,
so let's not make fun of her.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
You know, isn't it wild how quickly somebody can go
from going home like you know, minutes away from not
getting a rose to then being in a love triangle. Yeah,
like she literally had nobody and now she has too many.

Speaker 5 (12:18):
Yes, that happens in Paradise so often. And I do
wonder what's gonna happen at this cocktail party that we're
about to see next week, because she's gonna have to
make a decision on Jordan and Tanner and right away.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
Who do you feel worse for us? Okay?

Speaker 4 (12:36):
I feel worse for first, worse for Jordan.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I think I do too.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
I just feel like it's let on.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
He's let on. He's gonna hate Rachel.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
He's gonna be like you are, like literally the one
like you have just like wrecked me twice now and
like an unpredictable and moments that it was so unexpected.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Yeah, m totally anything else worth mentioning on Thom just
looking at our notes.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
No, we can move on.

Speaker 5 (13:03):
Okay, alrighty, okay, next up? Oh my gosh, the truth box.
Truthbox is like saying stupid things about like guys having
shaved legs, and then it gets to this one. Tyler
doesn't like Mercedes as much as every Okay, well, here
here's the Verbandum, Tyler, everyone knows you're not that into Mercedes.

(13:27):
You better come clean because she deserves the truth.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Who do you think wrote it?

Speaker 4 (13:33):
I don't know. I don't know who do you think
wrote it?

Speaker 3 (13:36):
It's hard because at this point, like, Okay, Cat is
the well Cat.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Is the only one I can think of. Kat is
the one that's been all about the truth box.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Brandon seems like he was into the toothbox too.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Sure, but Kat is friends with Mercedes, and so I
wonder if Kat knows or thinks she knows something that Cat.
It feels like like Cat burbage, right, everybody.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
Knows, Yes, everybody knows, you better come clean?

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Yes, Like what do you mean everybody knows? No, not
everybody knows. Mercedes obviously doesn't know, so not everybody knows.
But it sounds like something she would say.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
Okay, And then I'm so weirded out by Tyler's reaction.
He basically like smiles and laughs, And then I'm surprised
by mercedes reaction is actually so on the outside kind of.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Laughs.

Speaker 5 (14:33):
She looks lighthearted on the outside, but we know because
of her confessional segments that she's upset about it. But
I'm like Tyler, if somebody read that in front of me,
I would immediately pull her aside and start talking about it.
And as far as we see, he doesn't just brushes
it off. It's like a big thing. And if I

(14:54):
were Mercedes, I'd be like, I'm just gonna let this
sit in the air.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
Well, I mean we this isn't you know, super shocking
to us. And that's kind of shocking because he did
make out with Jess and then go back to Mercedes.
So he made out with Jess and went back to Mercedes. Again,
we don't know if he went back to Mercedes because
Jess said, Hey, I actually I'm going to pursue things
with Blake and he goes, well, okay, Mercedes, you're my girl?

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Yeah? Was it default?

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Was it default? Is the question that we don't see.
We don't see how he made that decision. Again, that
was a weird scene where we see Jess and Tyler
making out and then we never really get anything else
from it.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
Ever. Again, he's no, we never know whether Mercedes found
it out about that.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
It just reaction. I suppose.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
Yeah, her reaction seemed as if she must know, because
if she didn't, then it would be even more shocking
to her, and I think she would have been like
what anyway, Okay, So we revisit that later in the
episode during the roast. So then, hilariously, in like some

(15:55):
of the cutesy stuff that they have Pepper through the episode,
kat is teaching the boys aga class, and then the
big drama of the episode happens Katie arrives.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Katie wait so long for this? We did?

Speaker 4 (16:09):
We waited so long.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
And the answer to our debate on whether or not
she was there to date is we were or.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
I was wrong.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
She's not there to date, but she and Jesse certainly
played it up like she was when she was about
to walk down too. And yea, it was well done.
It was well done, and it was so much better
than when Hannah Brown came down and pretended like she
was going to date. Like we didn't have to do that.
All Katie did when she pulled Blake aside, and you

(16:42):
know that they had her walk down those stairs at
this week because they wanted to test Blake. And as
soon as those two sat down started talking each other,
the feelings were again I'm gonnause the word palpable. You
felt everything through the TV. The heart drops, just like
the sweaty palms, the dry mouth that you get when

(17:04):
you are talking to someone who makes you nervous, whether
that's because it's been over two years since you guys talked,
or because maybe you still love them.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
When the producer asked Katie, do you still love him?
She couldn't answer it. So now I want them to
revisit each other in real life because it felt like
there could have been something still there.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Yes, did we see like they're ten minutes of a
reunion on TV in this in the place like under
the TV cameras. Yeah, it's gonna be probably more intense
there than it would be in real life.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
But there's something there.

Speaker 5 (17:45):
And what they wanted him to feel was that feeling
so that he can make a definitive decision about what's
going on with Jess, and it worked. He knew right
after sitting down with Katie that it's not there with Jess,
not enough.

Speaker 4 (17:59):
He said, he knows what love feels like after.

Speaker 5 (18:01):
Sitting down with Katie, even if it's just through memories.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
And a little bit of this is unfair to me.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
I don't know if I exactly like this because Katie
and Blake have a long history. They have been through
normal life together. There's been a deep connection between the
two of them. Of course, when somebody that you care
about and you've been attracted to and you've had memories with,
you see again, there is always still that connection.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
I think there is. I get that.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
So of course he's gonna, maybe in his mind, be
asked to compare it to Jess, and he's gonna say, yeah,
it's not it's not there yet.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
But yeah, Kadians.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
But Katie and Blake weren't there yet after four weeks
of dating, he said.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
He said, I had even less time dating Katie on
the Bachelorette, and I felt stronger in less time for
Katie than I do for Jess after spending twenty four
seven with her for two three weeks.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
I just don't I just didn't enjoy the decision having
to be made or being made at this point. I mean,
there's a lot of emotions still involved in this relationship.
It's obvious there was. You know, Katie's crying when she's
asked do you still love him? Like there is still
something there. But the question that we want to know
is are they gonna even try to figure it out?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Because if they don't, then Blake needs to move on.

Speaker 5 (19:25):
She is, yeah, but Blake can move on, but he's
definitely shouldn't be moving on to Jess, who he doesn't
feel strongly enough for I think, and she doesn't feel.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Strongly enough for him.

Speaker 5 (19:35):
She keeps saying, and I've pointed it out before, it's weird.
She's like, everything has just been kind of like a
train wreck for me here.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
I'm like, no, it's not.

Speaker 5 (19:43):
Has anybody barely you had one moment of somebody stealing
your man.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
You've been fine.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
You have been wishy washy and whether or not you
like him enough you took that pause then you realize
you liked him enough, but both of you have been
hesitant the entire time.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
Well, I've just been a fan of that relationship since
the beginning because just came on the podcast and she
was very sweet.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
We obviously had Blake come on. He's very nice.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
I think it would something that could have worked or
at least been given a shot. And if we lose them,
But if we lose them, then, like, I don't know
who I'm cheering for right now. We do, we still
have Kylie Nevin even but we don't see hardly any
of them. And yes, this episode had a little bit
more and it had some emotion involved in their relationship,
but we haven't seen enough of them to really be
you know, tied into it. Really we saw more of

(20:30):
them when there was drama around their relationship and there
was the Olivia situation. Still, I don't know, I just
don't want to lose one more happy couple on the
speech because I don't know who in the heck is
going to make it to the end, because I've.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Just never felt the happy couple in them.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
You know, Katie wasn't just there to meet with Blake.
She was also there to lead a date, which seems
to be another trend this season is having lead you know,
it's a roast, it's a it's the same thing. It's
like the same thing. Is that the same thing as
Hannah Brown did? It is yeah, a trend this season
where you rally everybody around and you do something together.

(21:06):
Call it a date, call it a group activity, call
it just some you know, decent TV.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
It's still a thing. And she leads a roast obviously.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Because as we've talked to Katy about, she is a
professional comedian, so she's gonna be good at this.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
The roast. The roast makes my palm sweat. Honestly. It me.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Here's a trend this year actually that I just want
to highlight to you. Okay, see if you agree or
agree or disagree, it feels like the show is doing
everything they possibly can to make people talk smack on
each other.

Speaker 5 (21:36):
Well, yes, that's what I was saying earlier with Tanner.
Tolbert was saying, it just feels like weird dow scenes
to create drama.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
But like drama does, if there's no drama, a monkst
these couples then tell us the.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
Storyline feelings aren't big enough.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
Well, yeah, the feelings aren't big enough where you didn't
cast it properly or you know whatever. But I think
there's been enough drama on the show for me to
be entertained. You know, we've have Braiden, We've had some
drama with Cat, We've had some drama with Olivia. There's
been enough drama for me to be entertained. It just
feels so synthetic to me when you're like, here's a

(22:13):
box that you can talk bad about somebody in and
never be known, and here's a roast that we can
all just like roast each other and talk and like
make fun of each other and just see if anything
comes from it.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
And to me, it's kind of dirty.

Speaker 5 (22:26):
Yeah, this was really this was hard. I was audibly
being like, oh ah, best part was even impersonating Rachel,

(22:47):
and that was just fine.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
That's a little sweet impersonation. But there are certain things.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
I was like, like, Cat, I mean Cat, we you know,
in our headline episode this week, we talked about how
Cat asked calls for kindness.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Now, I get it.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Kat has definitely been outrageous on this season of the Bachelorette.
We've talked about it here, we'll continue to talk about it.
Her behavior has not been one that we've been like, yeah,
go Kat, like we totally understand what you're doing and
we totally agree with everything you're saying. But like, obviously,
Kat is what the show should know. If you're the
kind of the villain on a season, and you know

(23:23):
that's gonna be hard enough when people watch it for
that contestant, don't make it even harder by, you know,
getting like the verbal words being said from other castmates.
I mean, Aaron calls her red flag. Blake says she's
full of shit. Tanner says her face wasn't moving from
because of all the botox she gets.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Olivia says, then she was like, yeah, so it's working
and it's good.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
And I'm like, yeah, girl, I get it.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
It just still has to It still hurts. It still
hurts enough, and you hear it. I don't know at
this point if Kat is understanding that, yes, actually not
everybody agrees with everything she's doing. I still think that's
a question I have.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
But I don't know. It's this whole thing feels dirty
to me. It just just feels unnecessary.

Speaker 5 (24:05):
I just mentioned that even making fun of the way
that Rachel sometimes talks was fun, and that was like
exactly the way it should be, is like lighthearted. The
one that comes later forget who says it says that
like what's wrong with Rachel? She was the bachelorette and
now she had thirty three guys to choose from, and

(24:26):
now she has a whole beach full and she still
can't find one. Like that was just really mean and like,
what are you even talking about? Plenty of guys have
shown interest in.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
Her, Yeah, And I mean I think also it's very mean.
First off, second, off, she's singles, so why shouldn't she
be there? And she isn't like any better than any
of you, and she's not any worse than any of you.
You've all been rejected on this show, you've all had
a breakup from the show, so you're all on an
equal playing field. And took Rachel's credit. She has handled Paradise,

(25:00):
not like she is above anybody else. She's handled it
just like everybody else. And I think that is to
her credit and something admirable that she didn't come down
and be like, I'm the bachelorette, so like, yeah, boys
flock to me, that's not a thing.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:14):
And then there was also a comment again about Mercedes,
about just Tyler not liking Mercedes, and.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
Again Tyler smiles and laughs.

Speaker 5 (25:25):
I'm like, dude, I guess you really don't like her,
but now your reactions making it even more cruel. All
this is not addressed really yet, because it seems everybody
runs off crying, okay, and then they go to bed.
The next day they're separated as the girls and the
guys are before a rose ceremony, they come together and

(25:46):
this is where it'll all be pretty much addressed in
the pre pre Rose Ceremony cocktail party. And the only
thing we really get teased going into it though, is
Blake pulling Jess aside and she's like, I'm scared, I'm scared,
and he is pulling her to the breakup bed. So
many breakups have happened on that far side bed, and uh,

(26:08):
this is where he says like he has spent so
much more time with her, but with Katie he knew
by now, and he says he should feel he should
feel like he knows with her by now, and we'll
see how the rest of the conversation unfolds.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Yeah, it's another teaser. The roast really set a weird
vibe for me.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
It was like, really, I mean, I totally feel you.
I totally feel I would be so uncomfortable in that situation.
I could never even say those things.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
Really want those things said about me, so I don't
want to say about anybody else. It just reminds me
like that there's people behind the scenes watching this.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
How did they feel okay about this?

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Everybody was very emotional, like they were obviously feeling very
down on themselves, and You're sitting back and like, hey, dad,
this worked like perfect everybody had a big reaction. It's like, no,
this is unfair to them. You set them up for this.
There was I mean, I guess yes. It goes back
to what I always say. You as a contestant could

(27:06):
have said no, I'm not doing this, like I'm just
not participating, right.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
You had that ability.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
However, not everybody has the confidence or maybe the knowledge
of the show, especially the night winterers, to put their
foot down and be like, no, not doing this, not participating.
This seems terrible from every angle. I didn't like it.
I didn't agree with it. I don't think it was
a good date. I hope they never do it again.
And I think all it was ever going to do

(27:31):
was going to cause more drama, more pain, probably some
more insecurities. It's gonna probably bring up some stuff about
you know, each individual person that they've tried to either
move on from or heal from. And for me, I
think it's absolutely ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Can't go on.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
Now I'm realizing I actually really really don't like ros
I don't find the ones on Comedy Central, funny, stand
up comedy, make fun of something for a few minutes,
and then move on. Nobody needs to be roasted.

Speaker 4 (28:03):
Right, okay, And then just a few things we didn't
mention throughout the rest of the recap is Eliza and
Aaron b decide that they are officially boyfriend and girlfriend,
which is hilarious because in a couple of days they
could be officially fiancees. And then we also.

Speaker 5 (28:20):
Got from Avon and Kylie that they are falling for
each other. And then there's Sam and Peter, who are
really coasting by and actually seem relatively strong. But I
don't think we expect much from them for some reason. Again,
I think it's just people we don't really know, so
we just kind of brush them aside no offense this point.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
They're my favorite to get engaged.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
I don't know, I have no I like have like
what two picks, and I'm like, I think Avian and
Kyler are going to engage because they feel like a couple. Yeah,
every year that's going to get engaged at the end
of this because they're hardly shown, we don't see a lot.
We see snippets, and then like the last episode is
going to be all about them, which is fantastic, and
they're going to do is like a little monologue through
their relationship, and I'll be like, oh, that's cool that

(29:03):
they said that to each other that wasn't shown.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
And then I'm gonna be like, yeah, they'll be engage.
They seem in love.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
But it's so weird this season in Paradise, Like usually
there's five couples that were like, goodness, gracious, this feels
like something special, we just don't have it right now.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
And somebody is a breakup. I bet you have. It's
a shock breakup. It will either be Kylie. Yeah, it'll
be Kylie, It'll.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Be one of the two couples still together.

Speaker 4 (29:29):
Okay, so here's my call.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
One of those two couples will break up and the
other one will get engaged. And then there's that thing
that we mentioned last week. Will there actually be a
wedding like they teased or will it be some random
wedding at the Vendanta that they run into.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
I think it's a random wedding at this point. I
do it just and it feels weird, Like what next,
you know, next week or whenever the next episode is,
We're going to tune in and all of a sudden
there's a wedding in Paradise, like they haven't it just
be a really weird wedding to have, and there's been no.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
Likely Will you be my wife actually tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Yeah, we will marry me today. Anyways, this has been
another episode of Bachelor in Paradise. Again. We thought this
episode was better than most. It was engaging, it was intriguing.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
There was some other storylines I just personally cannot promote
or get behind the roast. I think it was unnecessary.
I thought this episode was really good on its own
without that, I did not think they needed it. And
I thought it was trying too hard to do too
much in kind of the realm of pain and insecurity,
and I just think that the show shows better than

(30:35):
that at this point.

Speaker 4 (30:36):
Yeah, it was like a little bit of a trash
TV moment, right.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Yeah it was. It just didn't feel like it fit.

Speaker 3 (30:41):
But hey, that's me and that's why I sit behind
this Mike, and I don't have a job on the show.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
I really have no say so.

Speaker 3 (30:47):
Anyways, until next time, we'll be breaking down a ton
of stuff this week. We've got some great episodes coming out.
We got some great interviews with some couples who had
just gotten married. We have the headlines out, we have
Golden Bachelor to break down. Obviously, we just broke down Paradise.
There's so much good going on, ash We're busy.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
All right, seeya bye.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
I've been Ashley and I've been Ben later, guys.
