This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast

Hey, team, it's that time of the year again. It's
coming up on the fourth of July, which is always
a time for the Almost Famous podcast take a break.
It's kind of a week we take off. Usually we
visit some family, we just kind of chill out for
a bit, So we will be off the week of
July fourth. However, we do have some big things to

(00:27):
talk about. Ashley, you have a big interview coming up
on July eighth.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Yep, Well, we have Jen She's gonna be talking all
about her season. I'm going to try to get her
to spill as many guts as possible because her episode,
her first episode, airs on July eighth, so stay tuned
for that. And then Ben, I will you know, supposedly
be back here July eighth that week with you, and

(00:55):
it'll there's a chance I'm not gonna be Yeah, I'll
probably be on for two weeks. But as far as
like work goes, it's hard for me as a as
a part you know, a podcaster to be like, you
know what, I can't get on the mic when I'm
a week postpartum and just talk to you about a
Bachelor episode that I totally watched. Yeah, so I did

(01:18):
get to take like two weeks again just to do nothing.
Last time I watched The Bachelor in my hospital room.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah, well, it's not a bad thing to watch. Take
your time. Yeah, it's very dangerous to have me here
without you on the mic. Who knows what's going to
be said and what could happen. Things break down quickly
without me, It's gonna be wild. But you will be
possibly a mother of two coming up soon after that,
and so we will be celebrating that here and then

(01:49):
be very excited to get all the details and the
excitement or the tears or whatever is happening.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
It's boring, you know. I hope it really just happens
the way it did last time.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I hope so too. I hope so for you. So
we'll be back July eighth, Ashley, any big July fourth plans?

Speaker 3 (02:08):
No July fourth plans, you know, I have to. I
wish I had a tradition for July fourth. It's probably
something that Jared and I will have to create for
ourselves because I never had it growing up.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
It's always just like a spur.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Of the moment last minute decision, where are we going
to see fireworks? My parents aren't even big fireworks people.
They also like not even huge grillers.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
We just don't have any big like tradition, and I
wish we did.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
What about you, Jessica and I will be going back
to Indiana. We're in Indiana. It's lake time, lake time,
it's a lake time. We took the Unity RV from Denver, Colorado,
out to Indiana with Whalan. So Whyalan, jess and I are.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
The RV that your parents have.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Yeah, they drove it out to drive us back with
Whalen and so who are all in Indiana for a
few weeks hanging out? And then I got a big
member guest golf tournament at my local club in Indiana
that I grew up playing, And so it's a big
couple of weeks for me. This is like, this is
my super Bowl of seasons.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
I need to know, like what an RV trip is
like when you have your parents and then Jess, So,
how long does it take?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
It's fifteen hours.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
It's fifteen hours. Do you go straight or do you
like have campus?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
It's straight through, rotate drivers straight through, fifteen hours, make
it back about four am, take a little nap, wake up,
and we're there.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Okay, that's cool. So is there is there like a
formal bedroom in there. Yeah. Yeah, there's a bed.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
There's two beds actually, and people can lay down, you know,
take a little nap, snooze a bit. Obviously, Whalan just
sleeps the whole time. He doesn't drive. He just hangs
and it gets us back. Because it's hot in Colorado
and so he's a as a black dog, he gets
really hot, and so being on the lake is his

(04:05):
favorite thing. He just lays in the water. So we
have a blast. It's an exciting time. It's a big
time of the year and here it's almost famous podcast.
It's a really healthy time for us obviously to take
a break. And then with Ashley, goodness, gracious, she timed
it perfect. She's almost gonna get three weeks off.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
There we go, perfect, three weeks off and then never
any time off.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Yeah, your kids, there you go.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
I mean, there's a weird limbo part where it's like, well,
I'm so over being pregnant, but you guys know that
I'm pretty much over being pregnant since the moment I
get the positive test, don't love it, But at the
same time, I'm like, what's going to be harder this
moment where I find myself like in certain positions, not
being able to breathe or having two kids.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
I don't know if I can answer that, but you
do great, Keep crushing it and we'll be back again
July eighth with an interview with our Bachelorette Jen. Very
exciting things ahead. We're jumping right back into the Bachelorette season,
so right after this week's break, we'll full We are
