This is a podcast called twenty five Whistle.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Stuck in funball and they whistle. So yeah, it's too bad,
but what did you expect. It's a podcast call twenty
five Whistles, twenty wine Wheel, Eddie bow to Whistle. Okay,
we've got a couple of things to do. I got
a whole list of stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
I do.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Want to start with Cowboys losing again because I watched, well,
I watched the first two and a half quarters of
the game, and once he wasn't throwing a pass over
three yards, not even completing it. Yeah yeah, I mean yeah,
because what I remember about Cooper Rush was pretty positive. Actually,
I mean, he came in to won some games last
(01:53):
year and.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
He was like four and o last year when he
came in just one four in a row.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
It didn't It was not good.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
No.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
I don't know if it's because the Eagles defense really well,
but they weren't even attempting. I think his average attempt
was like two and a half to three yards, so
again the Cowboys lose. We thought that would happen. However,
about to the first half, I'm like, oh, we might
have a game here, might just.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
I mean, yeah, we get a pick right at the
at the Eagles end zone, like we're like six yards
away and we can't punch it in. Cooper Rush has
a wide open look at Ceedee Lamb throws it in
between him and the tight end. They don't even know
who the ball is going to.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Yeah, that was that interception that was right after like
a lucky That was a lucky. It was lucky, but
they just fumbled and then they intercepted the ball right back.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
It was so bad bones that I bet seventy five
I don't ever bet seventy five dollars ever, but I
lose seventy five dollars in my account and DraftKings had
put this bonus for a live bet, and I was like,
this is a touchdown, they're six yards away, it's first
in goal. Let's go seventy five dollars for a touchdown
they cannot convert.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
So I ended up to it off because there were
other things I wanted to do, like anything, and I
did put it back on to watch the game cast,
and I saw Trey Lance was in the game. He
came in right, So how did he look?
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Dude?
Speaker 2 (03:11):
He comes in for two plays, runs goes nowhere, They
pull him out, put Cooper Rush back in.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Oh they did he he's all a pick.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
And then Cooper Rush comes back in. No, he didn't
throw a pick yet. And then Cooper Rush comes back
in and then Coo Cooper Rush finishes the drive. They punt.
Then fourth quarter, it's all Trey Lance.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Wait why did they do that?
Speaker 2 (03:30):
I have no idea. It was crazy too, because they
both ran out of the field and they showed Cooper
look at the side. Oh no, not me, not me, okay,
and Cooper Rush sat back and they let Trey Lance
go out for two plays.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
That's bizarre.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
That's so bizarre.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Hey, Mike, what audio do you have from this?
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Have a Jerry Jones talking about it?
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Oh? Oh, you see a good mood?
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Do you think he is not hit me with the mic?
Speaker 6 (03:52):
What does performance tell you about Dak's role in this
team and what he's been doing this season? Well, given
that you saw the team looks like without Dak, how
do you tell when you look at the difference, what
do you.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Think about Dak.
Speaker 7 (04:03):
I don't want to be sarcastic, but you got the
same arithmetic I've got. We've won three games with Dak, okay,
So I'm just saying we weren't playing well with Dak
at all.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Something that sticks out to me. You know, somebody's old
when they use the word arithmetic. I mean we probably
say mad. People younger than that, who knows what they're saying.
Someone that's arithmetic. You know, they're completely on a different
age spectrum as we are.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
But what is he saying here? Because the reporters trying
to get at like, all right, like you thought Dak
wasn't good, but now you put your backup in Cooper Rush,
you even let Trey Lance play a little bit, They're
not any better.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
What he's saying is, do you know arithmetic? The first
time I watched Club, I thought the same thing, and
then I stopped thinking about it. I didn't care anymore. Yeah,
I think it's like he was saying, even with Dak,
they weren't winning, so like kind of what's the difference.
But I don't know, I'm not sure, Like I'm not I.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Feel like when Jerry Jones talked Jones talks like that.
I'm always at the end. I don't understand what that meant.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Hey, what's the dill? Are you jealous of Brandon Marcella
coming on the show?
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I don't think jealous is the word. I feel like
we're slowly losing our jobs, me, Kevin Ksey Reid, and
I feel like when Brandon comes on, you geek out
and you guys talk sports, and I guess I get
a little like left out man, because you guys have
this connection. When you talk about college sports. It's really good.
I'm not saying it's bad. It's really good, and I'm
(05:25):
sure listeners like it. But I think for us, I
can't talk to you like that about the college game day.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
I never talked sports. Yeah, well, can I ask Let
me ask you a question, a real question.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
What's upka?
Speaker 1 (05:36):
This is a sports show. How many college games did
you watch this weekend?
Speaker 2 (05:40):
See? Here's like I thought hard about this.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
At least one quarter of how many games did you watch?
Twenty that There's no way twenty games.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
I'm telling you that by the time Sunday comes around,
I forgot who Tennessee played. I forgot who I see
a TikTok video of Old miss tearing their goal for them, like, oh,
that's a who I saw the game? Who did they beat?
Speaker 1 (06:04):
There's no way you wore at least a quarter of
the game, twenty quarters of a game. There's no way.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
I go back and forth from a lot of games
because I do big parlays. So usually what I do
is I get the big parlays. Whatever's on the fence,
that's the game I'm watching. So like tennis, like, uh,
what was one of those? Alabama LSU stopped watching it,
Texas stopped watching that one.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
But if you wouldn't make it selfish about your parlayds,
because we do a sports show, and if I feel
like I can't talk sports with you, I have to
talk sports with somebody, right, And that's random. Well that's anybody,
even gap go to Kevin sometimes because you don't watch
games I do.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
I'm telling you, man, I can't remember dude.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
That's no.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
I were not accepting that you remember everything about the
Cowboys game.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Yeah, but that's the only one I watched.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
I don't get back and watch that game because you
actually take like I watched the first quarter of Ohio
State Purdue. That's a blow. That was so gone from
the start that I felt there was no need for
me to go back. Yep, but I wanted to see
And also like those games, those Big twelve excuse me, yeah,
the Big ten noon game. It's terrible. And I haven't
(07:04):
watched like the pre game because like Liner it's on
it and Brady Quinn and and those guys are legit
as far as like college fall players, but then you
compare them the game day, it just looks like a
bad version of it, like a second. So I watched that.
I watched Georgia Tech Miami almost all of it because
what the whole thing. I won't lie into the whole thing,
(07:25):
but like three quarters of it at least, because one,
I knew we may have coach on which we do
later from Georgia Tech. But two, I wanted Miami to lose,
and Georgia Tech was up pretty much the whole game,
if not all the game, and Miami had a run
at the end, so that kept me in. I watched
Texas in Florida because I wanted to see the yell kid,
the retro freshman who was starting for Florida. Oh, he
(07:46):
came in at the end of light But like I'm
watched Okay, he's fine, he's all right. But I'm watching
this because I know I have to talk about on
the show. That's the reason I'm talking about, like this
is part of our career.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Well, what I told my wife was that the reason
I do do parlays in gam on the weekends is
because I do a sports podcast and I need to
watch these games. You don't watch the game, No, I do, Man.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
You just know them from a betting perspective, right, and
not even all of them. You don't even watch the
ones like you're winning or losing. You just watched the
ones around the fence. My only point is you're jealous
of somebody who is giving me something that you're not.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
I know, and he's good at it too, And that's
kind of like, man, and what I thought, I was like,
it's almost like the bitter ex girlfriend. It's like I'll
never give him that. Like when you talk to Brandon,
I'm like, there's no way, like bone the Bones could
be Like, hey, Eddie, what do you think about Georgia.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
T you think if this is part of your career,
you should invest a little time and actually, I don't
know doing a good job at it? No for sure,
and that's why I watch a lot of you don't
you don't you watch parts of games? Did you watch
any of the Almost Georgia game. No, okay, no, like
literally one of the biggest games of the weekend. Yeah,
mostly because I didn't bet on that one. That was
(08:49):
too close for me to bet, so I stayed away
from that one. Did you watch any of Indiana Michigan? Yeah,
you said, yeah, I watch a lot of that one.
Didn't care to see if Signetty was going to go
ten and zero, and you didn't care to see if
they would continue to blow out teams or the Michigan
was like the first decent team they played, Like none
(09:10):
of that matter to you.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Yeah, I know I knew the headline going in, but
I didn't really maybe it was low on my parlay list,
but I think I did have Indiana to win that
one money line, so I don't think I was ever
in danger that one, So I never went to that.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
I watched most of Tennessee Mississippi State because again I
wanted to see I knew Missipis type was terrible, but
I wanted to see them will cover because I bet
that game. But then when Nico went out halftime. I
was like, oh god, we're not going to cover and
then we didn't. That one sucked.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
What happened, and they easily could have They should have.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
I agree, and they but he's gonna play next week.
Yeah they didn't. Was just over. I mean, I think
there was no reason to put them back in.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Yeah it was only nineteen points, but it's from the
very beginning. You're like, it felt like anytime they wanted
they just went deep.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
I watched Alabama LSU that game. I watched it until
I got out of hand and you knew LSU was
it coming back. It was wet, Milroe was running all
over it at the beginning. It was kind of a
game when it was fourteen three, then fourteen six. Uh,
then it just got out of hand. I watched by
(10:14):
b Why Utah was late. That was late.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
I watched the first half of that.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Yeah. So, Eddie, my point is, if you do a sports,
you should watch sports.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
No, And my point is I did watch it. I
just don't remember.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
No, you didn't watch it. You just said you didn't.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Three games that you mentioned, Yo, ironically, I didn't watch those.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Those are like those are the big anyway. Uh, we
won't even do NFL. How the NFL games, you watch
all of them, but they were all blowouts. I mean
a lot of a lot of crazy blowouts. So that
Chiefs one went pretty close, which man Denver is like,
there's just like a cockroach. They just keep going like there,
it's hard to kill Denver. They will not die.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
They did.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
Bo Nix is something dude like he goes he goes
hard one way or he goes really hard the other way.
But I'm telling you, like bo next is a guy
with one on my team. He competes. Yeah, that's so okay.
But my point is, don't be jealous of Brandon. He
gives me something.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
You guys have some special and you guys are good together.
And I feel like man got to help my game up.
But I just maybe it's my memory. You have anything
like on a memory thing.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
My recommendation would be if you want to be a
part of a sports show, I do a good job
watch sports. Is that that's accurate, Kevin? Yeah, they even
have it.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
You can watch four games at once, Like it doesn't
get any easier than right now.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Oh, I don't have the college thing where you can
do that college thing.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Do you have YouTube TV.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Yeah, but okay, all I have No, I don't have
YouTube TV. All I have is the ticket on YouTube
for NFL, so I can do quads on NFL.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Yeah, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Not college college.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
Don't You don't have to pay for it?
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Really? No?
Speaker 8 (11:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (11:44):
You on YouTube TV?
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Period?
Speaker 1 (11:46):
About do you have YouTube TV?
Speaker 4 (11:47):
No?
Speaker 2 (11:48):
I have Hulu.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
Oh okay, okay, but you still watch a bunch of.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Games and who I can watch every single game, but
I have to go to them individually. They're not all
quatted out on my TV. All right, I'll I'll work
on it.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
I'm just saying you should probably best a little more
time in watching sports. You can have things to say
about sports.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Okay, I did watch the whole Texas game though Texas Florida.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
I thought should have turned off because we.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Got that one. I watched because you know, I had
made that bet, and I want to make sure I
look like an idiot when I came in today.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Hey Mike, Yeah you went to the game.
Speaker 9 (12:18):
Yeah it was awesome. Go ahead, deep, I mean offense
back to looking amazing. Those misdirection plays were like what
were they doing?
Speaker 2 (12:24):
It was awesome.
Speaker 9 (12:26):
It was cool being down there, get to go on
the sideline before the game.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
I saw that. How do you do that?
Speaker 9 (12:31):
Taylor Cearrels, who we met. We went to go to
the campus. Taylor Cerels, Oh yeah yeah yeah she hooked
it up. Yeah we like we got there. We were
hanging out with all like the high school recruits.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
It was weird.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Uh do you go to the balls game?
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (12:43):
I did? Wait, what with your seats?
Speaker 5 (12:45):
Okay, so we had eleven people, big group people, all
in one row. This is great. Tailgate was fun. We
got to see the band, the vall walk, the whole experience.
It was great. We get in, we sit down, we
find out our seats, We try to squeeze everybody in them,
and find out there's still like a person that can't
even sit down because the seats are all taken. Our seats,
the width of them are twelve inches each seat, so
(13:07):
you're literally sitting on top of somebody. And so when
they say, oh, we have one hundred and ten thousand people,
it's because they jam these people into like little infant seats.
And halfway through the second quarter, we just got over.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Is it really twelve inches?
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Because no, you google it and they shrunk them back
in like the nineties, because they wanted to fit more
people into the stadium and pump their numbers up, and
it wasn't enjoyable to watch.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Were most people standing up?
Speaker 5 (13:32):
No, it was like half and half and I was
I could have staned or stood the whole time, but
we were with eleven people and like some people were
annoyed and pissed off. And then some girl got yelled
at by some dude next to her because he wouldn't
move over and he's like, I take this seat, and
she's like, come on, man, like we're all in this
like struggling together, and he was just being an a
hole about it. So it was just not the best thing.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Sorry that happened. I'm sorry they didn't cover. That was
my for sure. I knew they would cover, and I
think they would have. They still could have. I think
they still could have. But Nika wh Nica won a
half time. I was like, of course when I get
on and go, for sure.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
They still have that like there's no like killing you know.
I'm like when Samson fumbled going in the end down
and it's just like, dang, you guys should be killing
this team.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
And don't forget Arkansas beat them. Yeah, that tells you
they have no killing them.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
But they got Georgia this week, and George is gonna
be angry.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
George is gonna whoop the crap out of them. Uh yep, Okay,
so that was another one. Here's the job because in
case the job doesn't.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Work out, Addie, okay, I'm all ears.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Well, it's just because the guy didn't watch sports the
sports watch you don't.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
You have nothing?
Speaker 2 (14:35):
You know that I'm gonna start taking notes.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
But that's what I do. You literally what I do,
write notes while you watch. I literally keep notes of
things I don't forget. But what about the beer like
you're holding the Oh you don't drink, but doesn't matter.
I have drinks all around me. You don't have to
hold in your hand. The whole notes up on your phone.
I take notes constantly about anything because I know this
is like part of our job when we get paid,
and I don't want to do a bad job because
then we don't get to do the job anymore. We
(14:58):
don't get paid anymore.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Yeah, that's a good point.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
You can make sixty five thousand dollars as a professional
sex doll tester.
Speaker 5 (15:04):
Oh wait, as the sex dollar.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
I don't think. Wait, don't the way I don't think.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
First he agreed with it is that cool.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
So and technology is getting more sophisticated. So there's a
team and they need people to be a sex doll
product tester and AI trainer. It's a remote gig. You
test various dolls to assess product quality, functionality, and durability.
Imagine meeting with your manager though after they want to
ask you like that would be a word cond Oh
how is Cindy? That would just be weird. I don't
(15:37):
want to do all my feedback online. I don't want
to have to be having a talk with my boss
about my thoughts on the new AI technology. They want
to improve capabilities, focus on conversation and memory retention. Wow,
you document test results, provide feedback. You get twenty two
paid holidays each year, paid travel to global events. I
don't want to go to any events. I don't eve
(15:59):
better know I'm doing this. If I'm doing this, I
don't want anybody to know this is my job.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
Nowhere in the world would get you to do this?
What like you could travel anywhere? Like you you could
pick it.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
I can already do it. I gotta traveling on wine.
Speaker 5 (16:09):
Okay, all right, that's fair shot.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
A professional development stipend employee discounts on the product. Why
would you want to discoud of the product. You're already
doing it for the product, like you get to keep
it hooking up the boys. I don't want to site.
I don't want them to send it back if they
use it. You need to keep everything you use. I
bet a free gym membership because you want to be
in shape for your lady. There you go, Oh my gosh,
company cell phone. If you're interested in getting paid, you
(16:35):
can email them hello at doll Authority dot com. It's
from asking man sixty five thousand dollars a year to
test out sex alls. I mean that's not a bad wage.
And they'd be like, Eddie, what'd you this weekend? Well,
the doll was in the other room. I looked in
on it.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
You say it worked long day? We blog day of work.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Another thing was the Auburn airplane gets turned around and
I saw it. At first they said his horse play,
and they were like, Auburd's there playing gets turned around
as a horse play. Then it turned out to the
players were fighting. Then they identified the players. Then they
went and beat Houston the next night and a big upset.
Did you watch that?
Speaker 2 (17:10):
I did not watch. I saw it they'd beat Houston, though,
I watchcause that was Saturday night. That was football going on.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
I watched it too. I watch Arkansas basketball too.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
Back and forth. Oh man, you're amazing. And it took
I don't know how you can do all that, Mike.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
We hit the air traffic control.
Speaker 8 (17:23):
Here we go. We uh got an altercation on board.
We talked to the player to murdercy and landa.
Speaker 6 (17:30):
Uh.
Speaker 8 (17:31):
We got a bunch of basketball players spotts secure foot level.
It is cantained for the moment. We just had. We're
all police on the ground. And so we had two
players that got into the fiscal qualifications closer and.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
One horse play that's really embarrassing for them.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (17:50):
Did you see the clip of one of the players
that night of the game they were killing I think
like Vermont or something like that, and there will be
like thirty and he's in the corner like getting all
pissed off that they're not passing them the ball. And
that was one of the players. I got into it
on the.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Flight after I did see that. Ye, yep, that's wild
because those planes. I'm assuming they're just flying a chartered jet.
It's not like a yeah, it's like a Southwest Airlines
big There's not a lot of room in those things,
and they're big dudes. That's so embarrassing. Imagine you're Bruce
(18:24):
Pearl and this story is out that your fight, your
team fights on a charter plane down to Houston. They
did win though, they did win. Yeah, good for them.
Bam with tam TELUSU almost put it on Georgia.
Speaker 4 (18:37):
What else?
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Oh, A couple of things. So I was watching you
just wake up. We watched the Ireland game, No London games,
j yeah, one of those.
Speaker 5 (18:45):
I was driving back from Knoxville at that.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
So, because darkness is all weird now, I woke up
and watch on the whole thing because it's I go
to bed earlier because it's yeah, well, unfortunately and the
last games I did, and I wake up like halfway
through and watch it. I woke up and watch the
whole thing, and my wife is up to and they
show the two arterbacks. It was Daniel Jones versus Bryce
Young and right on beach. She was like, oh boy,
what a matchup we have here battle the Titans. Yeah,
(19:07):
even she knows how, and so both of those teams
are so inept horrible horror. It would be like a
fumble into another fumble into an them dump dump.
Speaker 6 (19:20):
It was.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
It was crazy how bad. I was really pumped. Bryce
Young did have moments so where he looked like he
was starting to put it together and like he was
not just reacting out of sheer terror. I was happy
to see him win again. The funniest part though, to
me was at the end of the game, they go
to overtime and they have Bryce Young and Daniel Jones
out at midfield. They're the two doing the coin toss.
I don't know, they're not the only two captains, but
(19:42):
they have those two at midfielding the coin toss.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
Bryce Young like a child next to Daniel Jones and.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
Standing face to face, so the reps in the middle standing,
Bryce Young looked like he was nine inches shorter. Loo
like a look like a kid compared to Daniel Jones. Yeah,
so much, Oh that I was worried for his health,
in his safety against those big NFL guys like and
we've met Bryce Young and Daniel Jones is probably six
six or saw what imagic six. Yeah, the difference in
(20:10):
those two was hilarious. I was again. I was happy
to see the Panthers went again. That's pretty cool. I'd
like to see, Oh, Bryce Youong gets another shot to
make it, But Daniel Jones is done. If he gets injured,
they have to pay them all his money. Yeah, so
he can't. He shouldn't play anymore. They shouldn't play him
he gets hurt. This is what David Carr had when
he was with the Raiders. Whenever they stopped playing him
because hed he got hurt, they'd owed him a much
more money the next year. They can cut him without
(20:34):
having to pay him everything next year. But if he
gets hurt, they got to pay him.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Yeah, you can't receive it, so you don't.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
No, nope, no, he doesn't play anymore. But what a
disaster of a game that was.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
I wasn't paying a bunch of money out there, like
you live in Germany, like the NFL's coming here, pay
a lot of money probably.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
See, it was all like weird. It's like those other
Irish games too, like everybody's were in all different jerseys,
like I'm I'm sure they're passing out jerseys like there
was some Vikings fan going crazy in the crowd the
whole time. I was like, does he even know what
TV's watching? So, yeah, that was a really bad game.
A lot of a lot of miss kicks yesterday in general,
Like there was a span at one point in the
(21:10):
Witching hour. They were they were they were missing kicks
like crazy.
Speaker 10 (21:13):
Did you see that altercation with the Debo and Moody?
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Yeah, it's crazy Pops Moody and then grabs the deep
snapper by the throat. He's not playing around man, Yeah,
which was who even who does that?
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Who does?
Speaker 4 (21:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (21:27):
I mean and also not behind other players, like it
was right on the front of the sideline. Somebody did that.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
The overton I wonder what do we do?
Speaker 1 (21:35):
Probably so stunned, he's like, what's the probably think somebody's
giving him a buddy slap. It was so weird. Yeah,
but it was his first game back kicking. I think
he has three kicks. They still won, They did the game,
Yeah he did? Did they still won?
Speaker 4 (21:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (21:49):
That was weird. And then also I'm watching the Broncos
and Chiefs man. Yeah, you know you're just thinking the Broncos,
well they've done it. How about that? Yeah? Did you
watch this zoomed in TikTok of the left side of
that line. The Broncos it got destroyed. They like, oh,
it looks like they just fell, yeah, destroyed. And yes,
(22:10):
I'm sure it was destroying, but it looked like these
guys just went and down. They went, yeah, and blocked it.
Couldn't believe it. Crazy. I saw one better on DraftKings.
ID bet like one hundred and fifty bucks right before
the kick that the that the Chiefs would win one
like twelvends. No way, it was better than a block
kick like ten to one.
Speaker 8 (22:30):
Jeez.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Yeah, So say there's anything else I wanted to mention? Oh,
one other thing that I thinks hilarious.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
I'll do it.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
I'll do it at the end. I'll do it at
the end.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
It's about wrestling, but it's so funny what those are?
Just so random wrestling.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Yeah, it's really good though. It's real good though. I
think you guys are gonna like it. It's real good. Okay,
So let's go to Mike. Do you want to do
an interview?
Speaker 7 (22:53):
You want?
Speaker 1 (22:54):
You want to do the recap with this parlay, Let's
do the recap real quick. Yeah, Well, well I did
not hit because I had Tennessee minus twenty four and
they did not cover. They did beat Mississippi State. Nobody
cares about excuses, but I have a big one. My
quarterback one out a half time. They could have covered
anyways once. It's annoying. Yeah, they didn't even need They
(23:16):
could have played with ten men. They covered. It's so stupid.
Eddie hit Texas minus twenty one and a half of Florida.
Reid hit South Carolina minus fourt Vanderbilt. That's a weird
game of like two family members. How do you root
for both of them to win?
Speaker 5 (23:28):
Yeah, I hate when we're in that spot.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
I know me too.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
Sucks Kevin, you lost too, I know what a Kevin
happ b Yu minus three and a half.
Speaker 5 (23:38):
They won by one.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Yes, all that that, and I talked to Brandon about
this in a second, and we can do that. The
whole call I felt was legitimate. He was holding him
m hm. The cour was he literally was holding him.
But it's just the do you feel like referee should
call it legitimately all the time or there's certain times
And I don't think there's a right answer to that,
(23:59):
except the right answers They should call it exactly the
same all the time. But that's not human nature. He
got sacked the game was over, except it wasn't because
the holding call. But maybe he got sacked because that
receiver wasn't open because he was being held.
Speaker 3 (24:12):
Like this.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
These are what's just playing through my mind the whole time.
But I felt, did you watch you see if he was?
Did you watch the play?
Speaker 7 (24:18):
No?
Speaker 5 (24:18):
I mean I was asleep by that, But did you
see it?
Speaker 2 (24:20):
You see that?
Speaker 5 (24:20):
I saw a couple highlights of it.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
It was so far away. Every camera shot though, was
from across the field, like I never saw one, and
maybe there's one that exists now. But it was such
a hold and it was obvious it was a hold
that I got it. But I guess that ref has
to make the decision does this actually affect the play?
And he threw it and it did, and that sucks.
(24:43):
I would have liked to have seen me. Why you
lose because they're gonna get one of the bys and
get stomped. They're gonna have a mudhole stomped in them
if they're one of the four teams that gets one
of the buys. You're looking for it, Yeah, like you're
saying every view is from across the Yeah, it's from
across the but you can still tell thee the corners
holding on to them. Okay, so yeah, we did not hit.
(25:05):
Sorry everybody, we let you down again. It's kind of
our thing.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
That's what we're known for.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
The thing is let people now were.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
Close though no I know it doesn't matter. We were
close now, but both were close.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Both. Yeah, we can't do that. We So you should
try out pick six though it's really cool by DraftKings,
like two more players and choose if they'll have more
or less of a stat so we can talk about tonight. Uh,
Dolphins at Rams Stafford more or less than two fifty
seven passing yards? I think you go more there to
more or less than two forty four passing yards. I
(25:37):
go less there, Tyreek Hill more or less the seventy
five rushing yards receiving saving yards. Excuse me, I's play.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
That's why I was held up to.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Yah, who knows?
Speaker 1 (25:49):
Who knows?
Speaker 8 (25:50):
You know?
Speaker 1 (25:50):
What sucked? Oh so, anyway, if you think you can
pick stats, go check out DraftKings pick six. It's awesome.
But by the way, in fantasy.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
So stupid.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
They're like, Okay, we know the irs four weeks. Guess what.
And I'm like, okay, well I'm gonna play my guy Texans.
You watch a game? Do you watch Texans?
Speaker 4 (26:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (26:11):
So I'm thinking, all right, well your boy go ahead.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
When they screw us on that seven o'clock game, there's
nothing we can do because there's nobody I could put
in to play that. Three players out on buy and
all I have was Nico.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
This is a rough bye week situation.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yeah, that's all. That's the I had to play Nico
out because they called him out right before the game.
They screwed us. That's all. Has nothing to do with
our parlay. That's stupid. Anyway, Try DraftKings pick six. It's
awesome and if you think you can pick stats more
or less of stuff, it's the perfect one for you.

DraftKings dot com slash promos. All right, let's go to
coach brin Key. A big win for Georgia Tech. Thank god,
m hm this time. But you know what, Miami still
might get that buy and be one of those top four.
(27:33):
Thank god, it just was. But at the end it
almost happened again.
Speaker 5 (27:40):
It was crazy.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
I was like, this can be happening every single time.
But we talked to coach brink Key a little earlier
today fresh off a big win against the number four
team in the country, the Miami Hurricanes. Now, coach Key
was an All conference lineman at Georgia Tech in the
early two thousands, and Saturday was the program's first win
against the top five team since two thousand and nine.
Big thanks to coach for take some time, because we
know it's a busy day. If you have a big win,
(28:02):
everybody wants to talk to you, and he gave us
fifteen twenty minutes, so he's awesome. Go Jackets, that's what
they say yeah, jackets. So he sat at the end
of the interview. Everybody has their thing. His is go jackets.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
I like it.
Speaker 5 (28:15):
It's pretty vague, but I like it.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
No yellowjacket, Yeah, no, I get that.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
When it could be any kind of jacket white, Why
don't you say, like, go yellow jackets.
Speaker 1 (28:24):
It's true. By the time you finished that, like they're
a commercial. Second went everyone, Oh here he is head
coach brin Key, Hey, coach, congrats on the win. I
was watching the game and I hope that you'll be
honest with me here and they were talking to you
in the middle of the game. It looked like you
hate you hate that end game interview. What are your
thoughts when they pull you to the side right in
the middle of the game to like talk to you
(28:44):
and you're having to make big decisions.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Well, if you want real row and uncut what a
coach does, that's the best time to do it. I guess.
I mean, I mean it is. It's in the middle
of the middle of play, and.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
It just looks like you're in the middle of it
and they're like, oh, coach, you gotta get on the
a and give this interview, and you're like, I got
a game to coach, so you're giving the answers you
can give to get out of there the quickest. It
feels like a bit like when after a red carpet,
Like I don't really want to give them any real answers.
I just want to get out of there, but I
still want to be like, you know, nice and cordial.
Do you like the implementation of the endgame interviews?
Speaker 4 (29:16):
I like it.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
I mean, if I'm a fan, I would like it.
I mean it's not like being on red carpet or anything.
The Holy Cow especially. Hey, that was a harmless, little
little drop you through right there.
Speaker 1 (29:26):
Now, Well that's my way to relate and show, you know,
I'm just so you know, I have to wear clothes
it a little tighter. Other than that, like that, that
was an awesome game. I did feel like, after watching
Miami play just about every game throughout the whole season,
that we're going to pull these miracle heroics again. Obviously
you've watched every probably snap that Miami has played all
year leading into this game. In your head, are you thinking,
especially there at the end, like oh god, they're they're
(29:49):
just Destiny's team. Are you guys, like we got this yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
I mean I had a lot of confidence in the plan.
I had a lot of confident players and even even
up to the last drive, you know, which we've been
at to close it out on offense, with the offense
on the field, when we got the ball back with
six minutes but weren't able to uh, we gave it
back to the defense, had a chance to put it
in their hands. Had confidence in them. You know, there
(30:12):
are times in the game you're holding onto your breath
and you know, hoping everything works out. You know, they don't,
they make a mistake, But I was confident our guys
we're gonna make a play, and they did.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
How did you guys prepare for the quarterback play? Because
he's been it was a Heisman front runner or second
depending on where you were looking up until this game,
how did you play differently with him?
Speaker 3 (30:31):
Well, when you asked about the quarterback play, I was
going to tell you about our quarterback play.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Well, I'm getting I'm getting there for like that's like
the grand finale of like how awesome it was, but
like first, like like you shut it all the time
at your defense, Like you guys played really well.
Speaker 3 (30:44):
Yeah, we knew going into the game. I mean camp
he's a tremendous player. I mean, he is a talented
young man. He's got good weapons around him. The thing,
the biggest thing with him is when he takes off
in scrambles and starts running. I mean, he's looking to throw.
And that's where so many of their big plays that
occurred in the previous games. And you know, we did
a good job on the back end of staying on ourmand,
(31:06):
plastering our man, keeping everything in front of us. And
I think it was really the second or third efforts
by the guys up front on the d line that
allowed the pressure to get to him, and you know,
and then eventually some of the sacks.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
What do you say at halftime? Because you guys were leading,
I think pretty much of the whole game. Anytime I
was on, you guys were up. What do you say
at halftime to the guys to do you have to
change your game plan at all? What did you learn
in the first half.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
So we actually went into that game a little different philosophy. Obviously,
we had two different sort of game plans for the
two quarterbacks, and then we went into that game planning
that game in four individual quarters. And I wanted after
each quarter the team to get together to rally up
and you know, put that quarter behind him, whether you're up,
(31:50):
whether you're down, and play the next quarter in fifteen
minute increments. And you know that's what they did. We
come in at halftime and it really took to us.
We went out to play a new game we had.
We had a separate game plan in a lot of
ways in the second half. So and actually, you looking
at we put four offensive game plans together for that game. Uh,
you know, two for each quarterback and two for each.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
Halfs are there parts of the playbook now offensively and
defensively that you're just now exposing that you have saved
until this point of the year, or if things aren't
going well earlier in the season, you like, screw it,
let's just get to some of the stuff we were
saving for later. How does that work?
Speaker 3 (32:26):
Yeah, you put everything in. I'm a believer and putting
it all in in the beginning, and then as much
as your players can handle, of course, and then being
able to use and pick and do things as the
season goes on, that that our best for that opponent
in that game plan. But you know, going into this one,
it was a little different because you know, of the
(32:47):
quarterback situation or our end that we had to pull
a few things out that probably hadn't used before.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
Talk about Hanes King, he was legit.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
I can't say enough good things about him. I mean,
you talk about a he's a warrior on the field.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (33:01):
He before he got hurt, you know, four weeks ago.
I mean, he was playing as good a football as
anybody out there. Continue to you know, continue to play
after it was hurt by running the ball. We get
him in the game this week, and I mean this
kid was playing now. There was no no, no two
ways about it. I don't care what was said. And
he was going to play in that game, whether he
could throw the ball or not. And just just his
(33:23):
presence alone. Somebody sent me a clip last night of
him talking to a player on the other team. Uh.
Just the competitiveness in him, the fire and him the
way he raises everybody up around him. I mean, he's
one of the toughest people I've ever ever been around,
one of the greatest leaders of any college quarterback I've
been around.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
How long after the game, until you go back and
watch the.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Game, let me see, Uh, you know, after press, come
up from my office, you know, get back home. When
I got home, probably probably within within two and a
half hours, probably I'm at my home office watching the game.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
If it's a loss, is it a different timetable? Will
you wait? Will you bury the tape type of thing?
Speaker 4 (34:05):
Ever?
Speaker 3 (34:07):
No, not at all. I mean, you got to learn
from your failures. You got to you got to learn
when you make mistakes. You got to learn how to
you know what you did wrong. And look, whether you
win a game or lose a game, the processes afterwards
don't change. You can't change your processes because look, there's
plenty of mistakes in that game. You know, they made
a couple of plays, or we made a couple of plays,
they didn't make a couple of plays. I mean, if
(34:27):
it slipped the other way, are you just going to
totally treat it different? Now, you got to treat it
the same. And you got to be able to handle
success and failures. Failures both the same. Shoot, they both
can be distractions in your life. For sure.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Speaking of distractions, when you got to go to Ireland
at the beginning of the year, what was that like?
I mean, because how far ahead did you get over
did you feel like the guys were on a different
sleep schedule, Like, would you want to do that again?
Speaker 4 (34:50):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (34:50):
Yeah, I mean I thought it was a great opportunity
for our kids. It was a great opportunity to showcase
our program on a national stage. We went over there
on Thursday, I'm sorry, Wednesday night, got there Thursday morning,
went to practice, had meetings, really kind of business as
usual once we were there, Uh, normal, normal day pretty
much on Friday, had the game on Saturday, and flew
(35:11):
back Sunday morning. We left out of there, I think
a nine am on Sunday, out of Dublin and we
were back here in Atlanta. Guys were in the weight
room about three o'clock in the afternoon working out, stretching, stride, meeting,
doing walkers for the next week's next week's game. So
it was a great, great experience. But we went over
there to play a game and to win a game,
and you know, we'll go back another time to do
all sight s here.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Oh so they got to do no sights in Oh no, wow,
So they got nothing that they no castles. They ain't
get like a double deck or bus. Go show them
like Game of Thrones castle or anything, coach. No, he's serious,
I'm serious.
Speaker 4 (35:49):
It was.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
I mean, the fans went over there. It was great
experience for the fans. They had a you know, they
had a pig Pepper rally downtown. I'm sure they went
to Guinness and Jamison and you know all the different
places over there. I think they you know, get souvenir, tealings,
uh tealings, whiskey uh come back. So uh now, it was.
It was a great experience because we got to go
over and you know, show our brand in a different,
(36:12):
different part of the world where you talk about I
love I love Ireland. I love the people of Dublin.
I think there's a lot of similarities between the blue
collar uh work, you know, mentality that that they have
over there, and who we are as program at George
Tech and who we are as a as a football program.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
You think you'd have made any an Ile money coach,
you captain, you know this is your program, you're coaching
it now back in the day for your guy, would
would you think you'd have made an inn i O
money as offensive lineman, not like you're making Bobby even
Come on, I agree, listen, I never compared to do
I would agree, Coach I'm doing I'm walking red carpets
over here. You know what I mean? What do you
think I'll tell you?
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Man, Hey, hey, I grew up listening to you. Man,
I've listened for a long time. So this is this
is pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Wait where where living at?
Speaker 6 (36:56):
What?
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Birmingham?
Speaker 3 (36:59):
Yeah, I got I grew up in Birmingham and uh
came over here and went to college here. Uh coached
coach UCF for twelve years, you know, then University of Alabama.
And I'm just a redneck from Birmingham. This family way here,
got people around me, and.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
You didn't even let your kids like explore Ireland. Like
that's the part to me. I'm like dank because we
we went up we were in uh were we roam
and then we saw like a couple of basketball teams
that were playing a basketball tournament up there, and I
was like that had been cool, Like coach, let you
go out like have some like ice cream. And then
just to find out coach didn't even let them go
out in Ireland to see anything.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
Man, Well, I'm sure I'm sure after the game they
went out and explored a little bit.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
Okay, let me ask you a post game when you
talk to the to your players. Obviously you have two
more games coming up, two big games come I think
in c State, Georgia. If I'm going from memory, right,
is that two games? How do you make sure they're
not overly excited about a win and they start focusing ahead.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
Well, that's the thing. I hope we've learned learned lessons
in the past and winning games like this, and uh,
you got to put them behind you. And you know,
you got to put them behind you myself. Number one
is the head coach, uh, you know, the staff, the players, uh,
and and take the good and what comes out of
a good win like this and be able to utilize
it for the future and be able to so you
can reap those same benefits, the same rewards. But we
(38:18):
have two big games, big conference game on Thursday night
next Thursday night here in Atlanta, and then a game
the following Friday against the other team here in the state.
And uh, so it'll be you know, we had a
good stretch coming up here at the end.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Do you depend on players to patrol that a bit?
Like your leaders to make sure to like have these
conversations with some of the younger some of the younger,
younger players.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
You do you know, I truly believe that that I
want to have a player players to have ownership in
the program.
Speaker 7 (38:46):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
And they understand what ownership comes a lot of responsibility
and then accountability that comes along with the responsibility. So uh,
they've got to be accountable for their actions. Uh, they
got to be responsible for the others on the team.
We have a good group of a good core group
of leaders on our team and we good kids. So
are they all straight shooters?
Speaker 6 (39:02):
No?
Speaker 3 (39:03):
I don't want it that way.
Speaker 7 (39:04):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (39:05):
You don't want guys to be accountable, accountable to each
other though, and understand why they're in school and you're
in school to graduate from college and to win football games.
And you know, if you do anything that's going to
jeopardize do anither one of those, you shouldn't be doing it.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Uh you'll see why I'm asking this question. But how
do you guys pick your captains?
Speaker 3 (39:21):
So each week?
Speaker 6 (39:22):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (39:23):
You know, each week we picked different ones. Here coming
up we will have uh we'll vote this week on
permanent team captains for the season. Uh, and that'll be
a group vote for the for all the players. But
each week it's it's a lot of different things. I
mean it's guys that it's a lot of seniors, like
a lot of guys in leadership. One week, I did
all walk homes or former walk homes. Uh, that are
(39:45):
important to the program, you know, special teams, offense, defense,
So just guys that you know. And sometimes it's guys
that need to have you know, big games this past week. Uh,
you know Haines and Hayes, king Kylie for Jamal Haynes
and then Trenillius Tatum and trend and trends of guys
for four years plays linebacker for US and you went
out had a really really really good football game.
Speaker 7 (40:07):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (40:07):
And he needed to and he did.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
Because you were a captain back in the day, if
I'm correct. Do you ever feel like like i'd wear
that c still just to let him know because sometimes
kids don't know. Sometimes they forget, they don't know. They
think coach just like saying stuff. But I would wear
like the sea on my sweatshirt. I just thrown that idea.
I think it'd be I think it'd be a great
idea of coach.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
Well, if you're a captain, that means you have leadership
qualities and if you have leadership qualities, you don't need
to tell people that you're a leader that should know it.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
Yeah great, I just got told. Although I think if
he was wearing a seat, I think it meant coach.
I wouldn't even think. Yeah, I would have c for
captain to put the years down there. But yeah, yeah,
that's a great right, Yeah, and have it sold. Yes,
I would still wear that. I did, hey, coach, when
I was in college my first year, I still wore
my lettermans jacket from high school because I was only
(40:50):
a mediocre high school fotball player. And I got told
real quick only losers do that, so I stopped. I
stopped doing that. I wearded my wife sometimes to be funny,
but other than.
Speaker 3 (40:59):
That, I'm just waiting for get cold so i can
wear my monk.
Speaker 4 (41:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
Yeah, yeah, coach, what's Georgia Tech? Like, I've never been there?
Like you went to school there, now you're the head
coach there, Like, explain to me what it stands for,
what it's, what it's like to go to school there,
and what it's like to play for Georgia Tech.
Speaker 8 (41:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:14):
So, well, if you've never been here, you have you
both have invitation for me, all right, please love for
you guys to come here visit us. Uh, it's it's
truly a special place.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
A lot of people think that it's in Atlanta and
that you know, it's in the city and that it is.
But really the way this this place was built, Midtown
Atlanta was built around Gigia Tech. Georgia Tech's been here
longer than Midtown Atlanta has. So it's its own campus
within the city, which is really cool. You know, the
things you learn here just to go to school here
to learn and look, I'm not sitting here going to
(41:46):
tell you that I've used anything, you know, the chemistry,
equations or math or anything like that from college. But
what Georgia Tech does it teaches you how to you know,
figure things out, you know, how to solve problems. I'll
get Georgia Tech is is you know, it's technology, and
technology is and everybody, I mean, the greatest piece of
technology in the world is in everybody's hand and pocket
(42:08):
all the time right now. So, Uh, it just so
happens one of my teammates that I've played here with,
you know, invented the camera and all the technology and
the camera on the iPhone so I mean, that's that's
what technology is, is what Georgia Tech is. You know,
if you envision the old school, you know, steam engine
coming down the tracks and it busts through the mountain.
On the other side, it's the supersonic bullet train. You know,
that's kind of the past and the president of what
(42:28):
Georgia Tech football is.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
And that sounds deep. It's really deep. Likely it's like
an intro of a book, like a pre something like
a bullet train. You lost me, but I'm probably because
it was a little too advanced for me. Coach, congratulations.
I was an awesome game. Awesome when I watched almost
the whole game, I was rooting for you guys a
big time. I hope you guys beat the crap out
of North Carolina State and Georgia and coach, thank you
for the time and congrats on so far a pretty
(42:54):
strong season. Looking forward to seeing where you guys end
up bowling.
Speaker 3 (42:56):
Really appreciate it, man as an honored to be on here.
Like I said, listened for many many years. Up appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (43:01):
Thanks coach, have a good day, all right. Thanks you'll
go Jackets, all right, Thanks to Coach key A couple
of things. I wanted to bring up one. So the
kicker for the Lions has kind of been on it
last couple of weeks, like making game game winning kicks.
So Jake Bates is his name. And how I know
about Jake Bates is he played at Arkansas, but he
wasn't the field goal kicker. He was only the kickoff specialist. Oh,
(43:22):
he didn't kick field goals for us. Really, yes, so
he may have kicked a couple, but he was not
our field goal kicker. But he's hit a couple game
winners for the Lions. It's just a very interesting story.
The one that he hit against the Texans was a
fifty two yarder. They end up winning the game. He
played soccer at Central Arkansas for two years in college.
(43:47):
He started a freshman and sophomore. Almost all of his
soccer game The matches are games, soccer matches, Okay.
Speaker 4 (43:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
Then he transferred to Texas State from playing soccer at
Central Arkansas. So we know Texas State, San Marcus. Yeah,
that's where we'd spent most a lot of our adult life.
And so he made the team as a kickoff specialist.
He did not kick fild goals of Texas State because
he just kicked far. So from there he went to Arkansas.
(44:16):
He earned first team All SEC honors as a kickoff specialist. Well,
not a kicker. He just put the t up and
kicks out the back of the ends on every single time.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
Was he played the same time as Cam Little.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
Yeah, I think they crossed over a little bit. Yeah, yeah,
I think so two years ago, right, yeah, yeah. After
his college career was over again he was only kicking off.
He went undrafted and he tried out for the Texans,
did not make the cut. He went on to the
UFL and played for the Michigan Panthers. But he kicked
fil goals for the Michigan Panthers.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
Then in June this year, he's he may have the
longest kick in like UFL history or something, but the
UFO's only been around for like I don't know.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Yeah, yeah, that's the history of it.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
Two weeks then he signed a a two year deal
with Detroit. He's fourteen for fourteen one field goals, including
three and fifty yards or more.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (45:05):
Never crazy, sixty four yards longest UFL.
Speaker 1 (45:08):
Yeah yeah, so never was a field goal kicker was
by the way, it was literally a soccer player and
then just kicked the ball far So kicked the ball
for Textak, kicked the ball for at Arkansas, and then
just started kicking field goals. But wasn't the kicker. Isn't
that crazy?
Speaker 2 (45:21):
That's really crazy.
Speaker 1 (45:21):
I think he was the backup kicker everywhere. He was
a kickoff specialist in case of yeah, somebody went down
with Yeah, awesome, that's an amazing story.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
What's like the Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, he was He
played soccer at Notre Dame. He never played football until
he went played I think for a UFL.
Speaker 5 (45:36):
Yeah, I think same.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
I think same, same kind of route, which is what
they're taking now.
Speaker 1 (45:39):
I guess I watched it. I don't think that's what
they're taking. I think that's such a rare story, a story.
Speaker 2 (45:45):
We just mentioned two of them in like two minutes,
so I thought like, well, maybe more.
Speaker 1 (45:49):
Because it's a weird.
Speaker 4 (45:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
Yeah, I did watch a bunch of female soccer players,
I forget what university, seeing how long they can make
a kick with a soccer ball, and one girl mad
a forty five yard field goal with a soccer ball.
They were just nailing. It was awesome. I don't know
if a soccer ball is harder or easier to kick.
I can't kick anything, but it's pretty cool. There's one.
The kicker at Vanderbilt was a woman.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
I remember that, you're a soccer player.
Speaker 1 (46:11):
Yeah, yeah, that's three and had one in The Island
capt The Island from the movie.
Speaker 5 (46:16):
When I was a freshman or high school kicker. Yeah, yeah,
she got female. Yeah, she's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
I guess she'd be better than the other guys.
Speaker 4 (46:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:22):
Yeah, Okay, let's go now to my guy from twenty
four to seven Sports, Brandon Marcelo. He is the guy
in college football. You can follow him at Brandon Marcelo
on Instagram. All right, here we go, Brandon, what's up, buddy?
Speaker 4 (46:35):
What's going on?
Speaker 1 (46:36):
I drain your article this morning about Florida State firing
both their coordinators and their wide receiver coach. Is Norville
going to last there?
Speaker 4 (46:45):
It's a great question, you know, I think so they're
gonna give him another year. You know, usually when coaches
make a wholesale change like this late in the year,
that means they're safe and that they've got to make
some changes. And you know, they got a bye week
coming up. It's a perfect opportunity need to make those
changes and get the other staff members on board to
handle the other duties. But it just kind of shows
(47:07):
you how voltol it is in a coaching industry where
I mean, it isn't like these coordinators all of a
sudden forgot how to coach. I mean, they coached an
undefeated regular season team last year and a lot of
them got raises, and then this year the production fell
because of just how much they lost, but also how
many transfers they had to bring in, and you got
(47:28):
to make changes just from a face value to appease
the boosters and everybody. But yeah, I think Mike Norvel's safe,
but a lot of pressure going into next year. I mean,
this is a guy that he's only had a winning
record when Jordan Travis has been his quarterback at Florida State.
All the other years and games they've had a losing record,
(47:49):
and so next year is kind of a prove it
point for him.
Speaker 1 (47:52):
Florida football does not seem to be going well in
general as far as Florida and Florida State, and then
are they going to keep Florida stable as well and
give him another year? I mean, I know they said
they are, but will that last?
Speaker 4 (48:05):
I think so. I think that this is a money
thing for them, right, We're getting into the revenue sharing era.
Florida is going to have to start spending twenty and
a half million dollars a year on their newer line
item in their athletics department to pay players. And so
when you look at Billy Napier, his buyout, I think
is going to be a little bit north of twenty
six million dollars. So you're talking about nearly fifty million
(48:29):
dollars you'd have to spend on just maintaining the status
quo and to be able to open the door to
get a new coach in there, which would cost you
even more money to bring someone in, and you'd be
starting over once again. I think a lot of programs
out there see this new revenue sharing era as an
opportunity to kind of reset the coaching market. And by that,
(48:50):
I mean we've been in this weird era where we've
been allowing agents to kind of hang huge paydays and
buyouts the AD's heads, and I think those days are over.
You're not going to be able to settle something up
where you got a seventy five million dollar buyout like
a Jimbo Fisher anymore. These that flag departments just don't
(49:12):
want to spend that type of money anyway. But they're
especially not going to be able to now with the
revenue sharing with players, so I ain't coaching contracts. They're
going to start being squeezed a little bit with these
new hires being made starting this year. And when it
comes to Billy Napier and programs like that, where they
might have fired him in any other year without revenue sharing,
(49:32):
I this is an opportunity for them to kind of
refocus their money on nil and with players in a
transfer portal, they're going to try and do everything they
can and focus all that to try and turn things around,
make a good effort for it next year under Billy Napier.
I like a lot of programs out there that are
kind of on the sense about making changes, will end
(49:53):
up keeping their coach just so that they can put
more money into buying players so to speak, going into
the next This is.
Speaker 1 (50:00):
Totally speculative on my part and I know nothing about it. However,
any chance the Napier of Florida isn't getting fired because
they don't want to look for a basketball coach and
a football coach at the same time after the accusations
about the basketball coach.
Speaker 4 (50:14):
I don't know, maybe, but you know, it's interesting the
timing that that all finally came out with Todd Golden,
the allegations being had out there, you know, came out
after Napier was assured that he would be coming back
for next next year. But this is an investigation that's
apparently been going on since August internally with a Title
nine investigation there. And this is an issue for Scott
(50:38):
Strickland long term as the ad because he's previously had
internal strife investigations with the soccer coach who ended up
being let go a few years ago, and the women's
basketball coach similarly the previous one, I should say that
they end up having to let go as well. So
he's had a string of issues within it a flex
(51:00):
department among his leadership that he's had to make decisions
and make changes. And I think it's very clear that
if he made the decision at this point to get
rid of Napier, that it probably meant that Strickland was
going to be on his way out too, because those
two are tied at the hip. I mean, if Strickland
survives all this with the Todd Golden allegations and everything,
(51:21):
very much next year his job is going to depend
on whether Billy Napier wins as a football coach.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
Let's talk about LSU Alabama. I was watching, I mean
I watched most of the game until I got out
of hand. I feel like Alabama just owns LSU and
like they're not afraid of going down. It doesn't matter
where they play, if it's Tuscalos or Death Valley, and
like they just go in, they do their thing. They
run the ball. They couldn't stop the quarterback.
Speaker 7 (51:46):
E ls.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
You couldn't stop quarterback.
Speaker 4 (51:47):
I of raining.
Speaker 1 (51:48):
It was just like the game. I felt LSU knew
they would win going into it. Your thoughts Alabama knew
they would win, not LSU.
Speaker 4 (51:58):
Yeah, same way. I mean, Alabama has owned them down
in Baton Rouge anyway. And you looked at the line
going in, Alabama was a slight favorite. I think that
told you everything you need to know. Is a night
game at LSU, all the hype and yet Alabama was
still favored, And that told you everything Vegas thought about
the Tide against the Tigers and laid listen. It's not
very often you see LSU fans leaving the game late
(52:21):
in the third quarter, before even the final quarter, and
they were streaming out of the stands. I mean, that
place was dominated by Alabama fans in the fourth quarter.
And LSU's got problems defensively. They have not been able
to really slow down any dual threat quarterbacks this year.
Lenora Sellers at South Carolina struggled against obviously Marcel Reid
when he came in in the second half of Texas
(52:42):
A and M, and they end up rallying from a
ten point deficit to win by double digits themselves against
LSU and then Jalen Milroe. I mean, goodness, gracious, nearly
two hundred yards rushing at quarterback, had four touchdowns, first
quarterback since two thousand to score four touchdowns rushing against
the same opponent in back to back years. LSU's got
(53:04):
a problem against dual threat quarterbacks and that just set
up perfectly. It was a perfect matchup for Alabama. And
also big credit to Alabama's defense. The last two games,
they've been incredible. They shut out in Mazoo and in
Garbage time they allow a touchdown and gets LSU, but
wasn't really allowing a touchdown at all with their starters
(53:24):
in the game. They're playing elite defense for the first
time all season, and what better time to do it
than in the final month of the regular season is
they make a push to the playoff.
Speaker 1 (53:33):
I was watching Brian Kelly's post game and he was like, listen,
we had a scheme. We worked on it for two weeks.
We just weren't able to stop him. Any chance that
he's starting his seat warming up a little bit.
Speaker 4 (53:46):
Yeah, I think so. I don't think they make a
change obviously this year, but they give him another year here.
You know, what's really frustrating for him is that the
third year of every program he's led, it's really either
been the peak or like the watermark of what their
expectation as a program moving forward. He's won double digit
games every year in year three. In previous spots, he's
(54:07):
had two undefeated regular season records in his third year elsewhere,
including the Notre Dame team that went to the National
Championship Game. And then this year you expected them to
at least win ten games, and now they're looking like
they won't do that unless they went out, including their
bowl game. I mean, listen, he's the winningest like active
coach as far as just consistency. I mean, he's won
(54:31):
ten games in seven straight seasons, which leads all of
college football. And now it's all of a sudden we're
starting to see little deans in the armor for him.
And this has been something's going on since like Week one.
Remember him slamming his fists against the table, saying, you
can't figure it out. What's going on. It's been like
that every week for them. I'm starting to wonder if
(54:51):
LSU is turning into more of an inconsistent program that
we saw back in the nineties. If you remember that
the pre Saban era LSU, where they had the talent
because it was Louisiana, but they were so inconsistent year
to year. You could expect in the maybe challenge in
the SEC, but then some years they're really down. I
(55:12):
wonder if we're getting back to that with LSU, especially
because other programs have more talent now because of the
transfer portal, because of NIL, everybody else seems to have
taken a step forward and LSU is just stagnant. They're
kind of just standing there being what they've always been,
and under Brian Kelly, you expected them to take a
step forward to figure this all out here these last
(55:33):
three years, to kind of stay in lockstep with everybody else.
But it seems to me they're falling behind a little bit.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
Less comment about the game, and we can't make excuses,
but I think the rain, like the fun when it
was fourteen to three, then fourteen to six, it still
felt like LSU was in the mix. That fumble that
was near the end zone, I mean, a wet ball
from a team that throws a lot. Do you feel
like that hurt Lu? Like you can't predict the weather, right,
(56:01):
but but still I think that game was just so
made for Alabama and how they played ball, I mean,
but especially as much as they ran the ball.
Speaker 4 (56:08):
Yeah, Alabama was a better running team, not just obviously
with Miller of quarterback, but also running back. You know,
LSU knew going to this game they needither run the
ball more. The last couple of weeks have been trying
to focus on that with Kay Durham. They're young running back,
but they couldn't quite get it going against Bama. So
then you revert back to Garrett Nussmayer in this passing offense,
and you know, Nutsmyer hasn't been great all season. He's
(56:30):
thrown I think like two plus interceptions and for the
last five games he's really struggling out there. That one
pick by Deontay Lawson in the end zone they're late
was kind of not say it was a fluke, but
he just didn't see him and he threw it and
he jumped up and got it, and you know, but
you can't have And that's the thing with LSU. When
they make mistakes, they always make them in like the
(56:52):
big critical situations. I mean they made a long drive,
you get down inside the ten, and then you throw
a pick, you have a fumble. Those those are the
things obviously you're not going to win you games, but
especially against the likes of Alabama, and they just don't
have a gamer at quarterback. I thought Garrett Nutsmyer was
going to be so much better this year for them
and continue that long trend they've had of great quarterbacks,
(57:13):
but it seems like the moment's been too big for
him in these big games.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
That's how I throw interceptions on Madden all the time.
I don't see how linebacker and I like it just
jumps up like again, he just didn't see him and
he just jumped up, took it. Game over. Let's talk
about Georgia interceptions. I mean, dude, does Carson back suck?
Speaker 7 (57:30):
Now?
Speaker 4 (57:30):
Yeah? I meant no quarterback. I mean it's I hate
to say it, but I mean he's regressed. And no
quarterback in the last four to five years has thrown
more interceptions than him. In a six game stretch in
the SEC, He's thrown I think twelve or ten, ten
to twelve in the last six games. Insane stretch here.
He's really struggling. And the problem is, like we knew
going into this year, like what's he going to look
(57:53):
like at quarterback when he doesn't have lad mcconkeye and
Brock Bauers too, the better receivers and tight ends they
ever come through Georgia letlone the end the SEC, and
he hasn't found a go to threat. Their receivers are
not elite. He's got like one great receiver and everybody
else is just kind of good, and you could tell
he just doesn't have a lot of confidence in them.
But what's also hurting Georgia this year is that their
(58:15):
offensive line is not great. It is really regressed as well.
So you mix that all up and Carson Beck's gone
from a quarterback who last year made the quickest decisions
out of anybody in the country. He had the fastest
release of the football from his hand in all of
college football, according to the analytics, and it just isn't
there this year because he doesn't have the confidence in
(58:35):
his receivers and also that offensive line, and he's regressed.
He's tumbling down those NFL draft boards this year.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
He does as Oh they said that like eight times
in the broadcast, like you rarely hear announcer's talk about
draft stock, and it's like every series Carson Beck's falling down.
He will not be a first round He also has
like a weird and it's only weird because he's so
goofy that full arm sleeve on such a goofy dude,
And maybe if he didn't throw so many interceptions, I
wouldn't think it was so bad. But like if you
have something bowl like a full arm sleeve, like, you
(59:04):
gotta be good, you gotta be.
Speaker 4 (59:06):
Really good, and you got to you gotta be a
ball or you gotta be out there just absolutely slinging
the ball every game and doing things and he yeah,
it's like it doesn't fit his personality. He'd be like
me going, you know, walking around with the arm sleeve
filing stories on Saturdays, like dude, what do you what
are you doing? Man, he ain't cool just because it
looks cool on everybody else. You gotta have the swagger,
(59:26):
you gotta have the winning attitude. You gotta be great
to pull that off. And man, it's he's a big
target out there. And also because of who his girlfriend is.
I mean, he's just the type of guy that's gonna
get a lot of attention anyway. But man, when you're
when you're not doing so well and you're sucking, boy,
there's a big target on you.
Speaker 1 (59:44):
And he doesn't have a good face for an arm sleeve,
Like you also need a good face to have a
full arm sleeve. And he has a kind of have
a goofy take it from another guy, has a goofy face.
He has kind of have a goofy face. And he
you know, if you're gonna the interceptions and you have
a goofy face, maybe not an arm sleeve. Hey, well,
is Georgia done? Are they done in the in the
College fotball playoff.
Speaker 4 (01:00:00):
No, because they get Tennessee this week. So they beat
Tennessee this week at home, they're very much still in
it and could potentially still get to Atlanta. The SEC
is a mess. I mean, we still have an opportunity
here for an eight way tie in the SEC going
into the SEC championship game. Good luck figuring out the
tie breakers there. They're gonna be a have to bring
(01:00:20):
out the world's best mathematicians if that happens.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
And you just electoral college and went out, But yeah,
use the electoral college. Let's figure out who won the thing.
Speaker 4 (01:00:29):
There you go. But you know, if they went out,
they're still going to be in the playoffs. It's just,
you know, I thought, you know, I was telling someone
this earlier. It just seemed like we're so used to
Georgia just being like the same type of team year
after year after year. And the problem is is this
isn't a photo copy of previous Georgia teams. This is
a photo copy of a photo copy, and the and
(01:00:50):
the resolution has gone down big time.
Speaker 1 (01:00:52):
I watched probably a quarter and a half of the
Utah BYU game. I did watch the end of the game.
I saw this, I thought it was over. They called
the hold on the corner, and only in clips the
next day did I watched the Utah ad come out
and go all right, basically Big twelve sucks.
Speaker 7 (01:01:10):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
He was like, we have a problem. What are your
thoughts because I do feel like that was a hold. Again,
the only angle I could see though in the replay
was like the far angle from the other side of
the field. I do feel like it was a bit
of a hold. There's also should they have called it?
Speaker 4 (01:01:23):
Then?
Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
Just give me your thoughts on that play that game,
and then the ad saying that after the game.
Speaker 4 (01:01:28):
Yeah, officials usually keep the flag tuck into their belts
in big situations like that, especially on the final down
and back up in the end zone like that. But
this is two games I've seen this year where officials
changed potentially the outcome of the game. I go back
to Ohio State Oregon. The reps here got flag happy
on Ohio State's final drive to kind of help extend
(01:01:50):
drive the drive for them, and then Oregon ended up
winning anyway, so they wasn't a big issue. But in
this game, you kind of wonder, what are we doing
they keep the flag in your pants. There a little
bit that changed the outcome of the game. Obviously, I
can understand why the Utah ad was very upset. He's
very out there. He's willing to speak his mind. This
isn't the first time he's spoke in his mind. It's
(01:02:11):
just that he's never really come out and be so
critical of his conference, and it's probably best to not
do that when it's your first year in the Big twelve,
in your new home, to be doing that. And so
he gets fined forty thousand dollars, which you know, listen,
ads make a lot of money, but it's not that
much money. I do wonder you know, it's going into
(01:02:32):
that press conference. A booster walked up to him and said, Hey,
I gotcha. I will pay whatever fine you gotta pay,
but go in there and rip these officials. This is
complete bs he did.
Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
I mean, he went hard, specifically called out the conference.
Speaker 4 (01:02:46):
I liked it.
Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
I mean it probably was a hold, but the quarter, Yeah,
it was just so late in the game, like it's
ballsy to make a call like that as a ref
knowing it's going to change the entire Again, they still
had to make the drive but that was a that
was a tough that's a tough call for that ref
unless he knew somebody that had some money on it.
That's all honest. Okay, final question for you here, Let's
(01:03:09):
do this man have so much? Okay, let's do let's
do Indiana want? That was a I'll say, a gritty game,
kind of a boring game to watch as far as
like if you wanted to see points, a lot of defense,
special teams, especially with Indiana. Indiana beats Michigan. That's a win.
Twenty fifteen. Indiana is now ten tozer for the first
time ever. They're probably in the playoff, right even if
(01:03:32):
they lose Ohio State.
Speaker 4 (01:03:35):
I think so does a committee think that? Because I
have Indiana ranked ahead of Penn State in my rankings,
but the committee last week did not. And I think
we can all agree that the Big ten's obviously going
to get three teams in, maybe they get four in.
But are we setting ourselves up for a potential where
we're going, Well, should the Big ten really get four
(01:03:56):
teams in? And is that four team Indiana? And it's
it's that I wonder at that point the committee will
start comparing scores and by that meant, I mean, what
is Indiana's result coming up in two weeks against Ohio
State compared to Penn State losing by one touchdown to
Ohio State. No one should be comparing scores for that matter.
(01:04:17):
In my opinion, if Indiana just finishes with one loss
and misses the Big Ten championship game, they should still
be in the playoff. They played the schedule that was
given to them. They've beaten everybody by fourteen points or
more other than Michigan so far this season. They deserve
to be in. But some red flags came up in
that game. For me, the offense, which has been so
(01:04:38):
explosive against everybody this year, had only eighteen yards in
the second half against Michigan. Their best receiver, Elijah Surat,
dropped two big passes in the fourth quarter that could
have really iced that game away. But having said all that,
even within quote unquote being a five point game, I
never really felt like Indiana was in threat of losing
(01:05:00):
that game because of the way Michigan's offense is set up.
They're just not very good, and so I think that
this game could potentially kind of help Indiana because now
they finally see some of their weaknesses get exposed. But man,
it's going to be very difficult for them in two
weeks having to go on the road to Ohio State,
a program where they're thirty and one against in their
(01:05:22):
last thirty one meetings against Ohio State. But this is
a historic gear for Indiana. If they lose that game,
I still think they should be a playoff team. What
if they lose by forty, then we start talking about
that comparing scores thing. I guarantee you without saying it,
the playoff committee will weigh that, and that's going to
be they could participely controversy there. But again, the Big
(01:05:44):
Ten might get four teams in the playoff. Anyway, it'll
be a mood point.
Speaker 1 (01:05:48):

Me too? And then I get corrected, and I'm like,
let me ask somebody who actually works there who corrects you.
Everybody on Earth basically everybody on earth.
Speaker 4 (01:06:11):
Don't call it. Just don't call it two forty seven.
I've had people do that to me before. I'm like,

Panthers Giants is its garbage battlet garbage Panthers one. How
about you Patriots? They'd be theree. That story, though, is
(01:07:50):
not the Patriots being the Bears. That story is the
Bears cannot score a touchdown.
Speaker 5 (01:07:55):
It it's for one hundred and forty two yards total.
Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
It's real bad. I didn't realize how bad it was
because again, you're watching on red zone.
Speaker 5 (01:08:03):
Yeah, and there wasn't much to watch because there wasn't
a red zone.
Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
Really bad, like they haven't got a touchdown, and there
was some some point they were talking about specifically they
haven't score a touchdown in so many drives. But yeah,
that is a bad offense.
Speaker 5 (01:08:18):
The Hill Mary, I think I was going to say
turning point. Yeah, the Jayden, Yeah, Daniels and they haven't
been the same since.
Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
Bills and Colts. That was an ugly game. Ugly kind
of got close there at a minute, it did. There
were like a bunch of interceptions, Flacco interceptions.
Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
That's the thing, Flacco magics.
Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
I think it's Bills went that one. Broncos lose to
the Chiefs on a game winning block, which is cool.
You really see block field goals, but see one in
the end of a game and actually watch it yourself
instead of watching it on a clip. It is different too,
because you're watch because if you're watching a clip, you're like,
why would they be showing this field goal unless they Oh,
it was awesome and the Patrick Mahomes is running right,
It is amazing. It is amazing. Saints and Falcons. I
(01:08:58):
don't know. That game was kind of garbage too. Yeah,
like I Saints one, congratulations they fired Dennis Allen. They
won the game. That's cool Falcons did not look good
and Drake Lennon's kind of hurt, right, uh forty nine
Ers Bucks, That's what I must say. I know the
Niners one that stiff arm that Baker Mayfield put on
Bosa and held awesome that whole drive. Yeah, he was
(01:09:20):
playing out of his brains. Uh So Bucks lost the game.
Speaker 10 (01:09:24):
But I think the like the it's a shame that
they're all hurt. All the receivers have notice. Yeah, yeah
they're good, they are good.
Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
Yeah, Baker plays hard man.
Speaker 2 (01:09:31):
He's the man.
Speaker 1 (01:09:32):
I would love him on my team Steelers Commanders. Hey,
how about that that they drove them off sides? Oh
my gosh, how do you fall for that?
Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
And I don't understand the one thing you cannot do
right now is jumped off side? That guy felt so
bad And then you see him Russell Wilson dancing dancing
he did like yeah, like when shoe Wifer, like, what's
he doing?
Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
I think since he started and I think they said
it in the I guess he has the highest passer
rating of our highest quarterback grating of anybody in the NFL.
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
He made some great throws in that game.
Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
Mike Williams, how about this guy game winning touchdown. Yeah,
good for him, that's awesome. Yeah and then yeah, right,
we'll get there. The Vikings and Jags was a disaster
of a game. They did not score a touchdown the
Vikings one. They did not score a touchdown. They threw
three interceptions.
Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
That's the same Darnold that I remember.
Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
And your old quarterback started, Kevin. Yeah, yeah, they that
those helmets are terrible for Jacksonville.
Speaker 5 (01:10:34):
Don't like them.
Speaker 1 (01:10:34):
They should not wear the shell helmet. I like, they
look like they're dirty and white, not just white. They
it's like dirty.
Speaker 5 (01:10:41):
It took me a minute to realize who was even playing,
but I liked.
Speaker 2 (01:10:43):
It every time I go to the house.
Speaker 1 (01:10:45):
Like the explanation was, they were like seashell colored. They're
not full white. There were shell like seashell because of
Jacksonville in the Ocean coast. Yes, Chargers Titans I watched
about Cowboys were on the same time. Yes, yeah, flipping
back and forth. I just never expected the Titans to
(01:11:06):
be in it, so I just didn't invest a lot
of like intellectual you didn't miss much. Really, No, I
made not a single note.
Speaker 5 (01:11:17):
It was a boy game.
Speaker 1 (01:11:19):
I made not a single note Herbert looked good. I
saw Herbert run the touchdown in the direct the running
play or whatever. Then yeah, he made a couple of
good cuts, like showed some athletic ability there, look at
me out there, Eagles, Cowboys, you know where we're getting Casey.
So the Jets are dead. The Jets are officially dead.
(01:11:39):
And it was not close.
Speaker 7 (01:11:40):
Now.
Speaker 10 (01:11:40):
Also, just uh, can we just stop with like the
sauce gardener thing like that. I think he's lost his sauce.
You know, he's just he's med. I go, but you
go by the first name.
Speaker 5 (01:11:49):
That trade McBride play was unboloom.
Speaker 1 (01:11:51):
Oh yeah, dude, that was wild, Like he like jumped,
he broke, broke.
Speaker 5 (01:11:58):
Yeah, jumped.
Speaker 4 (01:12:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
Yeah, he's a dude.
Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
Not really, No, that's his his moniker, got it.
Speaker 1 (01:12:06):
Kyler Murray looks so small that he died. He died rocked.
That guy was unblocked to so it wasn't even like
something like somebody missed an assignment. Yeah, and he hit
so hard as helmet flew off, and then he was
like smiling after, like thank god, it's okay. But then
I thought, is he smiling because like he doesn't know
who he is? Just like the Joker.
Speaker 3 (01:12:30):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:12:31):
And then the Lions meet the Texans. That was a
good game, got through five picks. There were a lot
of interceptions, right, yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:12:39):
Texans, they are not playing well, I know, but that
division is so bad that they're still gonna win.
Speaker 1 (01:12:44):
The Texans are also missing pretty much everybody because I
think he's tanked, all gone. He played last night, No, no, no,
I'm not going to take you the others. Dicks is
gone and.
Speaker 5 (01:12:55):
They looked good last night, like they were fired up
the crowd, but they just couldn't score. Touchdown now and
you were like, as soon as they couldn't score for
the third time, You're like, man, the line, the are
gonna come back at some point.
Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
I can't believe through that many interceptions, a lot back
and forth. It's so bad. Okay, I think we're done here.
Did we already go to break micro now a second?
Speaker 4 (01:13:12):
Break?
Speaker 3 (01:13:13):
Yeah, we're good.
Speaker 1 (01:13:14):
Okay. I'd like to talk about wrestling for a second.
You can hit the music because I'm gonna and DoD on.
This's my favorite thing so back in the day, and
I think even if you don't really know wrestling, you
don't remember for sure, you know the Undertaker Mike saw
Undertaker textans it's huge, and who is the Undertaker's brother,
Caine k Kane. Yeah, so Caine comes out and Kane's
(01:13:34):
he's now like the mayor in East Tennessee town. Yeah,
something like that.
Speaker 4 (01:13:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
So but in wrestling now, they're all these smaller groups.
And a few months ago there was a wrestler named
gine G a y Any and he would come out
and he looks like Kane, much smaller, but he'd be
in like Rainbow colors. It was a gay Cane. Oh yeah,
everything is exactly the same. It's exactly the same. His
(01:14:01):
moves were quite flamboyant for Rainbow.
Speaker 2 (01:14:04):
That's incredible.
Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
Oh it gets it so and that I would watch
and I would laugh because it was just a parody
of Cane. But they were making him what would be
considered Let me let me get my words right here,
make sure this comes out right. Yes, well, you get
it all right. His name is Gane. So there's this
new guy that's dressed all in white and he comes
(01:14:28):
out and see if you can guess his name. It's
another spin off. He comes out dressed in all white
and he gets beat up, and none of these Canes
are the same size as the real cane because he's
a monster like parodies. He comes out and he's getting
beat up, and all of a sudden he'll take his
nose ago and he gets a lot of energy. His
(01:14:48):
name is Coin Funny, So Cocaine is now a controversial wrestler.
Then there there is this guy that comes like walking
with a lamp and his hose. His name is Pimp Caine,
like a pimp ca.
Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:15:06):
So they are starting to be all these Cane spin
offs and it's hilarious.
Speaker 5 (01:15:11):
We need like a royal rumble. The problem is they're
not in these.
Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
Real organizations, right. So I know there's other ones because
I bookmarked one of them. Let me find it and
oh here here we go go.
Speaker 8 (01:15:33):
It is crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:15:36):
Okay, there's a gay Caine game, Cocaine female. She's fully
striped red and white like can but look like it
looks like a candy game. Okay, And he's dressed This
(01:16:03):
next newest member is dressing like leopard and got his
head and to get it anyway, I'll let you guys
know when there music bumped me up. The first time
I saw a game game, I was like, this is
(01:16:23):
think cocaine and then he gets all so yeah, that's
what's up. I hope you guys have a great day
and we will see you on the other side. Thanks
to coach, Thanks to Brandon Marcelo, and thanks pretty much.
It do you want to blow? You want blow the wist?
This you can do.
Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
I can do that.
Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
Yeah, and sorry case if you're a lost and Arkansas
lost basketball, but they play Baylor pretty close. Baylor's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
New York football is in utter shamples. But yeah, it's
all right.
Speaker 1 (01:16:54):
Yeah, yeah, I'm in the acceptance stage of this. You
should combine teams. I still don't think you'd be that good.
I feel like just a New York team, the Giant,
the Giants, Yeah, Giants, the Giants. Let's do anything the
rest of the year.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
I think anything.
Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
You think Aaron Rodgers quits, he should. I think it's
time or like a mystery mystery ailment. You're thinking, like
maybe he'll go, like you know, go to South America
and just be gone. But he's got to have a reason, right,
He's gotta have like his elbows heard or something.
Speaker 5 (01:17:22):
I can't do it right now, his ankle or messing
up right.
Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
Yeah, we will see you guys later on this week
