Speaker 1 (00:03):
It's a podcast called twenty five whist Stocking Football and
they are whizz So yeah, it's too bad, but what
did you expect?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
It's a podcast called twenty five.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Whistles Twining Wine, presented by DraftKings sports book and official
sports betting partner of the NFL. Download the DraftKings app
and please use the code Bobby Sports to get in
on the action. Blow it, Welcome to It, Coming up
lev national college football reporter from twenty four to seven
sports Brandon Marcelo. I think he's the best. When he
(00:37):
writes an article, I read it. We'll talk to Michigan.
I can't get enough. I can't get enough of the
cheating scandal.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
You love that.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Except if it was my team, I'd be like, everybody's
just shut up. Just sign stealing a big deal, but
just chill out.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
I can't get enough of that. Let's get over now
and do the tittle tattle time stupid.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
His name ever, the tittle tattle.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Let's get up.
Speaker 5 (00:59):
Kind of.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
At a very quiet eight to zero in the season,
do you feel like Florida State is being overlooked?
Speaker 4 (01:08):
I don't know about overlooked.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
I think if you look back They beat LSU early
pretty handily. Okay, good win. They beat Southern Miss fine.
When they beat Boston College, you know what, that game
was pretty close. They beat Clemson, which now doesn't look
as good as it once did because clemes and lost
again Virginia Tech Syracuse. They did beat Duke as a
big game and wait for US. I just don't think
(01:32):
they've really played anybody, and it's not like their conference
is full of go getters. But I don't feel like
they're being overlook because anybody that's sven to oher or eight,
and I don't care who you are, Liberty or Florida State,
or you're gonna start to be in the conversation. And
I know Brandon Marcello is coming up, but he loves
Florida State, so I'm gonna go overlooked. No, I think
(01:55):
they're being looked at just right. I think they open
the window a little bit. We do a little Pepe Tom,
we move out the way. But I don't think we're
staring at him like we have a Michigan or like
we are a Georgia. I just don't think their strength
of schedules forty nine.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Where are they ranked top five?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Right?
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Yeah, I don't think that's overlooked.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
No, but I mean people don't really mention them for
the most part, like Brandon Dust's coming to Plater as
one of the playoff teams. Sure, but their strength of
schedules forty nine, the remaining strength of schedules not.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Even the top fifty.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
So that tells you a little bit about what they've
been doing.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
And that comes away and used to be a lot better.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Yeah, it doesn't look so good now it doesn't look
so good, especially after this last weekend.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Right, next question, with Kansas beating Oklahoma on Saturday, do
you think it is unlikely that a Big twelve team
will make the playoff?
Speaker 3 (02:47):
That was a crazy game. I did not see that
one coming. I didn't bet it. I think I said
that on the show too. I didn't want to bet
that because Oklahoma always has trouble with Kansas and Kansas State.
Although Kansas hadn't beaten him forever, They've just had a
couple of close calls, but they did. That's tough because
at least if oh you finishes the season one loss,
(03:07):
Let's say they beat Texas again in the Big Twelve championship.
If that's even the game people are who even knows
the beg Like, oh, Kansas State, it's able to hold
on and.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
You got a nice Yeah, they still got to play Texas.
They do they State.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
So I don't think they will make it. First of all,
you're gonna need to have teams lose, and you got
some undefeated team still. But also that loss to Kansas,
and Kansas is a good team, but they need Kansas
to keep winning. If Kansas keeps winning and continues to climb,
it makes that one loss look better. Whereas they beat Texas.
(03:40):
And if Oklahoma keeps winning in Texas, it's just to
strengthen the schedule again, is going to play into it.
It's gonna be tough with one. I don't think Oklahoma
does it. I think they cost himself with the Kansas loss.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
So if it is gonna be somebody, probably.
Speaker 3 (03:54):
Texas probably, But if Kansas keeps winning, I think that
helps out. If I'm an Oklahoma fan, I'm rooting hard
for Kansas because that's the only way they're probably going
to get in is if they run the rest of
it and Kansas keeps winning as well, because that win
looks better and better and better.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
All right, Next up.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Going to the NFL here after Cousins tours Achilles on Sunday.
Do you think the Vikings need to make a trade
for the quarterback?
Speaker 3 (04:13):
No, I would just suck. I mean, justin Jefferson's not
gonna want to come back and play. Yeah, I mean,
what do you what do you expect? What's the ceiling
for the Vikings? The ceiling is maybe you win a
first round the wildcard game. You ain't win a much
more than that. Who knows how healthy Jefferson is going
to be when he comes back. I just catch you long.
(04:34):
It sucks, by the way, that's terrible. That's gonna cost
him a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah, he had momentum going too man.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
For the team for himself. We talked about it in
the last episode. How much money he was going to
be able to make demand. That sucks for him.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, I feel really bad for him.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
If they were going to trade for somebody like Tannehill. Now,
all of a sudden, Titan, they have a new quarterback
now forever, he's franchise quarterback future, all of fa Yeah,
leve a stif playbirdy he did? He did play good, room, Yeah,
he played pretty good. Yeah, we're used to the quarterback sucking. Yeah,
so we're like anybody that didn't suck, We're.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
Like, how about that?
Speaker 2 (05:06):
I played? All right? He did?
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Uh So it's like Tannehill. It's Trey Lance with the Cowboys,
but the Cowboys are gonna want probably better than a
fourth round pick because of the game for him, right, Yeah,
Andy Dalton, who could start? I mean, do you go
get a good backup to start like Colt McCoy. I
don't think so. I think you probably just lose instead
(05:31):
of investing something into trying to what saved this only
this second half of the season.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
I don't know what would you do.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
I don't think I'll make a trade though, especially because Jefferson,
you don't know what's going to happen when he comes back.
What if he gets hurt again? Then you're really down
and out with a backup quarterback, And like you said,
what's your ceiling?
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Honestly, if your ceiling is, if your ceiling is when
a first round playoff game, you might as well try
to get a better draft pick.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Yeah, and you need a quarterback of the future, so
you know, lose a couple more games, get a higher
draft pick and you will Yeah, you'll definitely lose a
couple more games next following the forty nine ers third
straight loss. Should the play of brock Party start to
seriously concern Niners fans?
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Through brock Perty's first five games, nine touchdowns, zero interceptions,
for you, Dan Good through his last three games three touchdowns,
five interceptions.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Missing a big I mean he's missing the.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Lineman, their best linemen, their best lineman, and Debo's out correct,
There's just a lot of things that he has had
that he doesn't have, and that is standard for anybody
that loses their weapons, they're not going to play as well.
I don't think it should seriously concern Niner fans. If
this were happening when he had his full arsenal, then
that would concern me. But every quarterback also needs to
(06:40):
hit one of these. Yeah, you'd rather happen now than
later in the seasons.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
True.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Does it seem like he's trying to do a little
too much now, missing some guys maybe instead of playing
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
I mean he's not hitting some of those passes he
was hitting, but again he's not throwing at the same
people they were able to make those Playscaffrey scored on
the touchdown.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
What seventeen games in a.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Row and their defenses they're giving a lot of points
all of a sudden.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
So it's not just to him.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
I think he's having to press a little bit too
because the defense has given up points. Nothing seems traditional
with what he's had to do and what is still
what he's still being asked to do. So just give
it a second, take a beat. All good, four and
is gonna be fine. Cowboys could still get that number
one season. When I said it a couple of weeks ago,
you were like, no way, No, I didn't think about it.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
I thought about you a lot yet.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
But now we're getting closer and closer. I mean, dude,
they finally look like I mean, they're coming off a
bye so they're rested.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
There Are you now shifting this talk about the Cowboys?
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Oh no, no, no, we don't have to.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
No, no, no, no, we don't have to.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
I'll take my time with that.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
We can get to that.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
But I didn't know if you were shifting this question
about brock party talk about.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
The Cowboys's funny, Like you know, San Francisco had a
spotlight for a little bit, no longer. Three games they
whoop the crap out of you guys whooped them? Yeah,
yeah they did. But let's let's not forget that. That's
when it all started. After that big whooping, that's when
they started losing games.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Because they don't think that's why they started losing bones
hear me out, They like, whooped too hard.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
They were like, look, we just beat the number one
team in the world. The Dallas Cowboys said that totally
in the locker room, and then they said, let's just
chill now and then look up, look at their season now.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Then okay, well that's a tittle tattle, thank you.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Let's his name ever, the Tittle Tattle Let's kick up.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Twenty five whistles presented by Draft Kings sports book and
official sports betting partner of the NFL. Download the DraftKings
app used to code Bobby Sports to get in on
the action, let's recap the parlay. Hey, let's not I
mean I hit again. I think we should go back
to the old way of doing things where I just
did it all. Yes, Ed, you haven't, You've never hit.
(08:41):
I know it's just a single game, and you know
what messed us up.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
I get on TV, I start looking through the channels
and what's right there, Ohio versus Miami of Ohio.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
And I was like, that's what.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
That's the opposite of what I wanted. I wanted a
team that no one could watch on TV.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
But that's not gonna happen. There's Oh, there are games
out there that no one can watch. High school, high
school and PAC twelve.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
True.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
True, because I did try to find the USC game
nowhere to be found, and I couldn't find it anywhere.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
Did you guys watch any of that?
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Ah, he can't.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
I saw it on Now, I take that back. I
did watch the end of it on TikTok because somebody's
holding the phone up.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
That's funny.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
I don't think that counts.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
So I did watch a lot of the game because
I bet on USC to come back and they did.
So I found the fourth quarter and watched it on
a TikTok. If somebody you just type in the game
to hold it. But that doesn't count.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
What's crazy is though, what they do that on TikTok.
Speaker 4 (09:30):
Oh, yeah, dude, anything, that's how I watch UFC fights.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
That's wild.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
Yeah, they told the phone up to the TV. Just
watch it.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
You get them a little hearts and they keep it up. Yeah,
you can even tip them, yeah yeah, can you really? Yeah,
that's why they do it, and they'll call you out.
They'd be like a producer ready, thanks to the dollar
man for sure. Awesome are you gonna say? Uh?
Speaker 6 (09:46):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Colorado it's just out of all the Pac twelve though,
Like Colorado will be shown on national television every week.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
The recap, Kevin had usc minus eleven. They only won
by one, so they did not hit That was l
Eddie had oh Io minus seven but they didn't even win. No,
they lost the game big time. I lost by two touchdowns.
Miami of Ohio beat Ohio thirty to sixteen. I had
Georgia minus fifteen and a half at Florida and Georgia
easily covered.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Boom.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
We'll do it again next week.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Uh you mean like we'll add to that again.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Yeah, all right.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
I'll start studying. I didn't looking at lot.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
You didn't eve study last time. You just tried to
find a game.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
You didn't never, no, no, no, I read that there
could that Miami of Ohio quarterback got hurt.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
I did go back and listen to why Eddie picked
that game, and he's like I read the quarterback, but
that didn't.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
They weren't anything. They were losing the whole time.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
If you want to take the twenty five whistles parlay,
you can check out Draft Kings Sportsbook. New users use

(10:59):
over to Brandon marcel who my favorite writer in all
of college football. I mean I read his articles when
he posted, I follow him. He's the dude right there.
I mean, he was named National Beat Writer of the
Year by the Associated Press of twenty eighteen. You can
follow him b Marcelo on Twitter here. He is Brandon Marcelo.
You can read his articles at two four seven sports
(11:20):
dot com. One of my favorite writers when it comes
to college football. Like he's the guy that I read
practically everything he writes. It is Brandon Marcelo. Hey, Brandon,
I want to talk about Michigan first, Like What the heck,
that's my question.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
What the heck?
Speaker 3 (11:31):
This thing gets better every single day, It gets better
and more fun for me to watch.
Speaker 7 (11:35):
Yeah, it's it's a bit insane. And I tend to
think that none of this is going to be settled
until after the year, and by that time, most of
these players, Blake Krum, even JJ McCarthy, all these great players,
they'll be gone, and the coaching staff will probably be gone.
Because I think Jim Harball me very well just actually
end up going the NFL now after flirting with it
(11:57):
for the last two years.
Speaker 5 (11:58):
I mean, he's a Jim car Ball is a quirky.
Speaker 7 (12:00):
Guy anyway, But I mean, this is a guy who
on signing Day National Signing Day last year, was interviewing
for the Minnesota Vikings job instead of being at work.
So he listen, you can't really predict what he's gonna do.
But all this sign stealing stuff, I mean, it is serious,
serious accusations. It is breaking the rules. But I'm gonna
(12:23):
say this like, it's not the most terrible thing I've
heard about cheating and sign stealing things like that across
college football. And by that, I mean I'm not going
to give names here, But I've had stories in previous
years of coaches telling me about them finding out that
an opposing coaching staff was logging into their video system
(12:46):
that's crazy and downloading practice footage, hacking cut ups from
that day.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
Wow.
Speaker 7 (12:53):
So yeah, this, I mean, yeah, it's this is certainly
bending the rules and being at a game and filming
SIG stuff and breaking the rules if it's proven true
and all that, but it's not the worst thing that
is that is happening out there or has happened out there,
you know, And I'll just all the conversations in bar
talk I've I've had over the years.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Do you think this could be a John gaudiesque situation
where they know a lot of stuff that he's been
doing but they can't get them, so there's gonna get
up a tax evasion, which is just the sign stealing.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 7 (13:26):
I think there is something to that because the ISLA
has certainly got a bit of a chubby for Jim
Harbaugh and right now, and they have for the last
several years, and I think a lot of the coaches
in the Big ten do too. Because of Michigan's rise
these last three to four years. You know again, though,
(13:46):
you have to be careful opposing coaches of taddling on
someone because then you know, it's like kids. Man, you
point your finger at you, I'm a point right back
at you. So you got to be carefully get to
pick spots. But you know, I think cardball is a
very easy target. I think Michigan's a very easy target
(14:06):
just because of one they're winning in hardball, and his
background and everything. But again, I'm not saying what Michigan
allegedly has done is right. I'm just saying that this
isn't the worst thing to be happening or has had
happened in college football when it comes to bending the
(14:27):
rules to get an edge competition wise.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Do you feel like there's anything to the route? And
it's a rumor all rumor, rumor, rumor. I just want
to say again, and Brandon's not saying this.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
I just read it.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Ryan Day's brother is in you know, used to be
in law, law enforcement. Now he's a private investigator. And
so they're going, well, the head coach Bio States brother,
I think it's called like fourth and one or whatever
his company is. I mean, would Ohio State go, well,
he kind of been taking it to us the last
few years. We know they're doing this because I'm sure
they're up to crap too, is the thing, Just like
(14:58):
you're saying, so, have you heard that at all?
Speaker 5 (15:01):
I haven't. I saw that rumor as well. I have
not heard that from anybody.
Speaker 7 (15:06):
I will say this, You got to be careful because
you know, I as a national guy. Now, I was
on the ground in some other heated rivalries Alabama and Auburn,
which I think is even can be more vicious. I mean, heck,
an Alabama fan killed Auburn's tradition of the tumor oaks trees.
You got to be careful what you hear because every
(15:27):
day there's something out there that's got like ten percent
truth to it or four percent truth to it, and
you got to figure out what exactly is false.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
So yeah, there's a lot.
Speaker 7 (15:37):
Of mudslinging that's been going on between those two fan
bases for the last several years in relation just to
that game.
Speaker 5 (15:43):
And I think that that's just I would be careful,
you know with that. I haven't heard that myself.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
I am rooting for Michigan now because I like Michigan.
I just love a story. I love the fact that
they keep winning even though but it's like you're cheating.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
It's something to talk about, like, and so let's go Michigan.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
It's ed Listen.
Speaker 7 (16:03):
Michigan's been my number one team in my rankings for
weeks now, even before this all was going on. They
got the most complete team in college football. They've got
the deepest team in college football, and couple that with
a quarterback in JJ McCarthy who's seemingly getting better every
single week.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
I mean, why not Michigan.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
One final Michigan thing? Because I'm obsessed with this story.
It is just it's the greatest to me because I
just love a soap opera. So TCU had heard, according
to the stories I've read, that Michigan was stealing signs,
so they developed a whole secondary system to throw Michigan off,
and then Michigan got pounced.
Speaker 7 (16:40):
So there.
Speaker 4 (16:41):
I think there's something to it, don't you.
Speaker 7 (16:44):
There could be, you know, listen, I think now this
will open the eyes of fans to be watching sidelines
more because if you watch games over the years, you'll
see when they notice other stealing signs. I mean, that's
why these last like eight years or so. You're seeing
more of those sideline guys holding towels up or holding big,
(17:05):
big pieces of fabric up to block signs. I remember
back when I was covering Auburn the National Championship game
against Florida State. Auburn knew Florida State signals offensively. Auburn's
receivers coach at the time was standing over by Gus
Malzon and the offensive staff whispering to them like, here's
(17:26):
what's coming, here's what they're doing. Why Because that receivers
coach at Auburn was the receivers coach at Florida State
the year before. And Florida State realized what was going on,
and they changed up their things at halftime, and Florida
State drilled them in the second half to win. This stuff,
this gamesmanship of some sort, whether it's signs deealing, headsets.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
Going awry on game guys.
Speaker 7 (17:50):
Yes, I mean this stuff happens, I guarantee you every single.
Speaker 5 (17:56):
Saturday in college football.
Speaker 7 (17:58):
It's just so we don't hear a lot about it
because I think one coaches don't want to put out
excuse as well, that's why we lost, because it makes
me sound like I got a tenfoil hat on, like, yeah,
our headsets weren't working. But also I think part of
it is, well, we would do that too if we
had the opportunity to do so.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
Maybe this will be a positive thing in that they
will just put speakers in helmets.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
It's so stupid. It's so stupid they don't have that.
Speaker 7 (18:22):
And we can all track this back to your nineteen
ninety four Okay, that's when the NFL said let's put
let's put microphones in the quarterbacks helmets. That same year,
the NAA said, no, we can't do that. In facts,
let's put a rule in that you can't scout teams
on game days. So in nineteen ninety four, the NFL
went one way, the INSTABA went one way, And here's
where we are. And in the end this will end
(18:44):
up meeting to the point where they go, yeah, let's
put microphones in the player's helmets. I think every single
coach would say, let's do that, and it's baffling to
me they haven't decided to do it.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
Let's move over to Colorado quickly, and I'm a big coach,
prime fan.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
They haven't been winning games.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
UCLA took it to them, however, they have won more
games than they did last year, and I think had
they not just splashed so hard, I think people would
sit and respect what he's doing over there because it's
right now. People like, look, we told you he wasn't
that good. What is your understanding of what's happening in
Colorado right now? How do you feel about that team
so far?
Speaker 7 (19:20):
Their only issue really to me is both their offensive
defensive lines. They're terrible. They're probably the worst collective offensive
defensive lines in college football. If they had an average
offensive and defensive line, they might only have one loss
right now, maybe two, but they would probably only have
one loss that offense. I'm a huge believer in that offense.
(19:42):
That they've got offensive coordinator Sean Lewis, who was previously
the head coach at Kent State. Go back and watch
Kent State lashing. The stuff they're doing offensively. It's what
they're doing now is Shdor Sanders, Travis Hunter and all
those guys. It's a fantastic scheme and he's doing everything
he can to get the ball out Shadoor Sanders hands
quickly because man, that pressure is getting to him. There
(20:03):
was one play where like he had pressure in his
face in less than one second against UCLA this past weekend,
and the ball was still out beforehand. That's a credit
to Sean Lucioc knowing I got to get the ball
out quick out of his hands and scheme some things
up to make it successful. But that only can last
so many percentage of snaps. And the defensive line is
really bad. They've got the worst defense in college football
(20:25):
as a result. And again, football will never change. You
have to win in the trenches, and Colorado collectively might
have the worst trench warfare out there.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
What do you think that call?
Speaker 3 (20:37):
Dion Sun also plays safety. They got up for targeting again.
I watched it a few times. It looks shouldery, but
is it because they took the shoulder to the guy's head.
How did you feel about that targeting?
Speaker 7 (20:46):
Yeah, I mean according to the rules, it looked like
it was the right call. I'll say this also because
it looked like he was quote unquote launching. But then
you watch that, you watch all these plays in real time,
it's like it's such bang bang, Like I don't even
know how these refs can decide want to throw flags?
Speaker 5 (21:03):
And I agree with Dion.
Speaker 7 (21:04):
I'm glad a coach said this finally prime time. He said,
they refs really do add the most difficult job on
game days because if you're there, I mean, Bobby, you've
been on the sidelines of game days, you see a
play happening eight feet in front of you at full speed.
I can't I don't even understand how these guys mark
the ball at the right spot at times, and it's
(21:24):
it's one of the most thankless jobs out there. Not
to say that they still make some really terrible bad calls,
but that one I could I could understand by the
rule of the game.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
I think refs should have an earpiece two with other refs,
like why are we avoiding technology? I think we should
have goal line sensors or at least the tennis because
one of my buddies played professional tennis for a long time.
They had that freaking bird can. They would tell you
right where the ball hit. We're not changing the game,
We're just enforcing what the game is supposed to be,
like getting exact Baseball's the worst.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
We don't want robot OMPs.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
I mean now they do in some places they allow it,
and then the in the miners, right, yeah, they do,
and it's awesome. It's just, you know, embracing technology. I
know technology is a bad guy a lot of times.
Florida State. I have a lot of Florida State friends.
They think this is their year to win the national championship.
I know you also have them pretty high up personally.
What do you think about this team?
Speaker 7 (22:17):
They've got the best collection of talent offensively, I think
in college football. I'm still waiting for them to have
like a game where it's like sixty five to three.
But I just don't think it's in their dna to
play that way. They seemingly kind of have these lulls,
and that's a little bothersome. They need to turn it
on in some of these bigger games down the stretch
to show that they can strangle their opponents.
Speaker 5 (22:39):
That was what worries me, you know.
Speaker 7 (22:41):
I mean, even in the ACC championship game, when they
get into it, they should How are they going to
react if they're down, you know, or let's say, for
that matter, they're up. That's what I'm worried about. They're
up two touchdowns and the other team starts clawing back.
How do they respond? That worries me a little bit.
But they've got the pieces Man two receivers. They got Keyon.
Coleman's the best receiver out there in college football. I
(23:04):
think Jordan Travis still doesn't get the love he deserves.
I think he's a top three quarterback in college football
right now in a year that's absolutely loaded with qbs
dominated in the Pac twelve out West. But you know,
I do wonder about their competitiveness when they're up a
little bit. They just seem to like let some teams
hang around when they shouldn't.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Let's go over to the Big Twelve. Oh, you almost
lost to UCF. They had to basically stop a two
point conversion. I get a two point conversion? Was all
I know is my family was yelling. They almost lost
to UCF and then they did end up losing this
last week to Kansas.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
What's any chance now?
Speaker 3 (23:43):
If they win the Big Twelve as a one loss
Big twelve winner, they can still go and play in
the Final four.
Speaker 7 (23:51):
I think it's difficult this year for them. I think
the Big Twelve is gonna end up being the conference
that gets left out, and then Pac twelve kind of
takes that spot Pack twelve and out of it. The
last six seven years, I think the big twelves not
as strong as they thought they were going to be.
If the problem for OU is obviously the loss, but
also the strength of the conferences I just mentioned. Texas
(24:12):
Tech is nowhere near close what we thought they were
going to be this year. Houston's abysmal as a new
member this season. Their strength of schedule Oklahoma and the
strength of this conference is what's going to end up
syncing them. I think it would take a Texas winning
out to get into the playoff and have an opportunity
to get there because their resume will be stronger because
(24:33):
obviously they've got that win on the road to Alabama,
whereas yes, oub Texas had to head but neutral site
not necessarily a road game, and.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
That all way on the committee a little bit in a.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
Close game, right, neutral site, close game with a top
twenty team, probably, Uh, Let's I get two other teams
I want to ask about. One is Clemson. Is Dabo
just never going to adapt? Is just going to die
on his hill?
Speaker 7 (25:01):
He didn't it crazy Like I'm a quote unquote expert,
but I think everybody the last three years has been
saying like Dabo just doesn't seem with it with the
transfer portal.
Speaker 5 (25:09):
What's his deal?
Speaker 7 (25:10):
Why will he not go in the transfer portal, We'll
get some quarterbacks, get a receiver. Because slowly the pieces
were just like like like fall now, like the leaves
were just slowly falling off the trees, and he just
sat there and watched him going instead of like raking
them up and figuring out what to do, he didn't
hit the transfer portal. The only thing he's done in
the transfer portal is go get what equates to to
(25:30):
walk on quarterbacks on the team, including one that was
a Clemson quarterback before he went to Northwestern and then
came back to school. He's gonna have to hit the
transfer portal this offseason. If he doesn't, then he's committing
career suicide and he's going to be chased out the
door at Clemson within the next three years. But you know,
I think this off season will show us a lot
(25:51):
about how serious he's taking things, because if he doesn't.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
Adapt, he will die on that vine.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
I mean, even got hit the portal, even inniol wise,
like he's someone who, I mean, he was very anti
it and is still really not a lover of it.
But it's those two things that have completely even revolutionized
college football. These teams nil and transferport That's what it's
about now, and he's doing neither one that.
Speaker 7 (26:13):
And you know, the one thing he has done correctly
and it has not worked out this year, is he
finally went outside his comfort zone and hired a staffer
to run his offense outside of his coaching tree. Because
for the longest time, the last eleven twelve years, he's
stayed in house. He's promoted from within whenever someone left,
and he finally decided, I'm going to get the hottest
OC out there, Garrett Riley at TCU, and bring him in.
(26:33):
The problem is the offense doesn't look much different schematically,
so you wonder, is this still like Dabo's offense and
Garrett's just running it. But again, a lot of that
could be fixed by simply bringing in more talent. They
have not had a game breaker receiver with game breaking
speed in the last three to four years and it's
killing them and they could easily go in the transfer portal,
won't go get one.
Speaker 5 (26:53):
Look at Florida State.
Speaker 7 (26:54):
They got Keyon Coleman from Michigan State. You mean to
tell me that if Clemson came calling and like, look
at our offense, what we've done previously with receivers. He
maybe would not have came to Clemson. I bet he wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
I would be so frustrated to be a Clemson fan.
I would be so fresh. I mean, I'm frustrated an
Arkansas fan, but as a Clemson fan when when I
had a taste of it and Clemson was like here forever.
They're not anymore, but they were here forever, Like this
is the new blue blood. It's Alabama, Georgia, Clemson mission.
It's not Clemson anymore.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
It's just not.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
And so it'll be interesting to see what he does
in the next couple of years. Final is about Kayleb
Williams and just USC in general. I mean, their their
defense is awful and I watched them come back from
behind and win this game.
Speaker 4 (27:33):
I think they scored like fifty two.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
I'm not sure the score, but I watched USC come
back and win, and I don't even know what to think.
If I were Caleb Williams, I would be so frustrated
to be playing for this team that cannot stop anybody.
What are your thoughts on what's happening over there?
Speaker 7 (27:48):
That defense is atrocious and I thought it was going
to get better this year because defensive corner of Alex Grinch.
Over his tenure at previous schools, including Oklahoma, they always
got really good in year two. This year they're worse
than they were last year. And it's the same stuff.
It's nothing, it's nothing something new, it's the same things,
missing tackles and busted assignments and guess what, that's freaking coaching. Man,
(28:14):
Blame the players. All you want talent level, they got
the talent. That's coaching. So Lincoln Riley, if he's serious
about winning a championship, he needs to make a decision
and probably move on from Alex Grinch and bring someone
else in because they've got the talent. They got guys
like Bear Alexander up front just an absolute just eater
up front, could eat everybody's lunch. And USC is one
(28:37):
of the more disappointing teams out there, next to Clemson,
I would say in college football this year, because they
should be so so much better.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
We mentioned all Ezac glades before he came on, but
I'll say it again. He's my favorite rider to read.
Go to twenty four to seven sports dot Com. Brandon
Marcelo on Instagram, b Marcelo on Twitter and dude, big fan.
Always reading what you're right and sometimes I repeat it
as it's my own. If I'm being honest, I be
like a yeah, this crazy thought, you know it. That's
what it is, though, Brandon, thank you and we always
enjoy talking with you.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Man.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
All right, thanks Bobby, see buddy, all right, thanks to
Brandon Marcelo.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
I can't get enough Michigan.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
What do you think is? I wanted to ask him
what his saturdays there? Like, like what does he do Saturday?
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Of multiple TVs?
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Just like it's got to be crazy, right yeah? Or
does he go to a sports bar? Does he go
to me?
Speaker 3 (29:24):
There's no way he has to do like when we
have something serious for working on, go on a room
and focus, yeah, I would assume. And that's just a
lot of games to keep up with a lot of games, yeah,
but the biggest one is probably most.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
But you literally ask.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Him any question about any team, he's got an answer
that's true. But ask me about any country star you
should have Well, okay, I got you. Thomas Rhett. What's
he doing right now? Thomas Rhett? He is going out
on tour next year. He's been off the road for
a while. Haven't Eve been on social media at all
because he's like he was letting them be too much
part of his life, and so he's kind of been battling,
(29:59):
you know who he is an artist. He's trying to
figure out, you know, how he deals with people that
say he's not country enough. He's opened up about that.
So I mean, like, I could do Wow, I could
do that.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
You're the Brandon Marcelo country music now, or's.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Brandon Marcelo Bobby Boa college football?
Speaker 2 (30:16):

This weather's kicking my butt.
Speaker 4 (31:26):
Allergies.
Speaker 8 (31:27):
Yeah, as soon as the rain and stuff came in,
Like I like, I had a cough a little bit,
but my voice was totally normal until this weather came in.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
You're gonna cry, sounds like it.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
I cried a little bit.
Speaker 7 (31:39):
Man.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
That's do you watch any games?
Speaker 8 (31:43):
Did not watch any games. No, I no, I uh,
I turned out. I turned on the Chiefs and that
was disappointing.
Speaker 4 (31:50):
Yeah, are you a Kanasity fan?
Speaker 8 (31:53):
No? Not really?
Speaker 2 (31:54):
You want to see Taylor? I'm a Taylor fan? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (31:56):
Are you?
Speaker 2 (31:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (31:57):
And so what was Reed's promise this week?
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Same as yours? Minus seven? Kansas City?
Speaker 4 (32:02):
Oh broke, I have a broke. I already have my
tens in.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
You got both ahead? You're good?
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Boom boom.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
Okay, so we sucked.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
It's almost like you premeditated that loss though. That's why
you can't pay ahead. Guys.
Speaker 4 (32:13):
No, that's not it. You pay ahead all that was
a twenty and I was like, I don't need change.
I just put tent. Well that makes more sense, okay,
Eddie your promise?
Speaker 2 (32:21):
Oh dude? Vikings minus one? They won before the end fourteen.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
I think, why can't you pick games on our parlay
then to win NFL.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
NFL? I think I'm a lot better in the NFL. College.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
We can do an NFL parlay next week. It doesn't matter.
What do we have to do.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Collegef do whatever you want to figure you guys are doing.
Speaker 4 (32:39):
You know we can all do NFL well sitch.
Speaker 3 (32:42):
Yeah, change it up a little bit, switching out for
next week.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
Okay, good call, all right, Kevin?
Speaker 1 (32:46):
Yeah, I was with Eddie minus one Vikings got them.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
So twenty bucks into the Broken Promises John, and we
did not prepay losses.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
Cool? So how much is in there now?
Speaker 1 (32:56):
One forty?
Speaker 4 (32:58):
I think we need to figure out.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
What week we need.
Speaker 3 (33:02):
I would say week like uh what I would say,
week like twelve or thirteen is when we should do
our big.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Challenge and we're just eight now going into nine.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Or we could do like thirteen and then the top
two move on and compete each other, heads up moving.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
It's cool.
Speaker 7 (33:16):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (33:16):
I like that for all the money.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Oh man, this is awesome.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
So what week are we on now? Eight into nine?
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (33:24):
Okay, let's say week thirteen and fourteen?
Speaker 2 (33:26):
Love it. Four weeks.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Maybe we'll be what we compete for the Broken Promises money? Okay,
because we gotta let it build up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Who the cow was playing for in there?
Speaker 4 (33:36):
Eddie's looking at the schedule already.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Oh dude, I'm funned.
Speaker 4 (33:39):
Oh do you want to hear my betting stats?
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (33:42):
Yeah, yeah, I did chase and I did win what
and this.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Is Sam Houston State included.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
Yeah, boy, really it's a rough start.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:51):
Well, so I chased hard and I bet twenty five
hundred bucks on Georgia to cover and then I was
like as screwing it through another seven hundred fifty on
there to cover crazy and they did so my NC
double A at twelve bets, I bet six thousand and
sixty six dollars. I came out with seven thousand and
seventy dollars. I was at plus one thousand and four
(34:12):
dollars this week n C double A, NFL total bets fifteen,
total wagered five thousand, nine hundred nine nine dollars, total
winnings three thousand, two hundred and eighty eight dollars minus
twenty seven to eleven.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
Where did I lose so much?
Speaker 1 (34:30):
It was last Monday night, Oh the San Francisco forty
nine ers.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
I kept thinking that we're going to come back.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Oh you kept and I go Monday night to Sunday.
So we didn't talk about it last week because it
wasn't in that and.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Uh it was not How much did I lose from
that game itself?
Speaker 1 (34:44):
That game alone was three grand? Okay, Yeah, it's terrible.
Like thirty one hundred bucks something like that sucks. So
without that game, you would have won.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
Yeah, IF's the nuts, candy and butts Mary Christmas.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
You know about your aunt and your aunt was an uncle?
Speaker 4 (34:59):
What he what if my aunt have balls? He mocks.
Speaker 3 (35:04):
Total bets for the week twenty seven bets, twelve thousand
dollars wagered, those two combined winnings ten thousand and fifty
eight a total loss of seventeen oh seven from that
forty hundred again the week before.
Speaker 4 (35:14):
I think this last week though, No, I guess you're right.
Speaker 2 (35:18):
Huh, I'm right.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
I've got him.
Speaker 4 (35:22):
Look up there like three times.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Oh, I know he's checked three times. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Season recap total bets two hundred and seventy seven, total
wagered forty two thousand, two hundred and nine dollars. Oh
my gosh. Total winnings just because of the San Francisco
game minus thirty one thirty seven stressing me out, bro,
Just a dang San Francisco game.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
Yeah, that one that was a killer, and then the
thousand on Sam Houston.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
But I got that back when I chased this week again. True,
I'm gonna chase again next weekend. Man, it's a race,
it's a chase. Hurry up, a feature face.
Speaker 4 (35:54):
Who will win? No one knows?
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Hungry hungry hippos, all right, A minus thirty one hundred,
I bet you. My winning percentage though, was actually pretty high.
Just that one bet got me.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
Yeah, that one game last Monday night.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
Really I just kept feeling it, just feeling it. I
was like, for sure they're gonna come back. For sure
they're going to come back. For sure they're gonna.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
I bet you if you looked at mine, I would
probably have two hundred and some bets too, like for
the season, but it would all be like lost ten
dollars that week, one two dollars that week. It'd be
more like that. But I probably place that many bets.
I love it.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
I love don't bet anything. You can't bet exactly, you know.
And there are times where I was like, I'm like
a bet anymore Because did I say I was gonna.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
Bet this weekend?
Speaker 9 (36:33):
Yep?
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Did I end up betting?
Speaker 8 (36:35):
Yep?
Speaker 4 (36:36):
It must have won.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
But it wasn't that much like quantity wise number of bets. Yeah,
it wasn't the norm.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
So you didn't take the week off, I think because
I only bet twelve bets. Yeah, there was only like
for college this week. Last week it was twenty four. Yeah,
and I know two of those twelve were Georgia. One
was Sam Houston. That was being before.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Hmm, it's three Georgia Yeah won Sam Houston two Georgia
c Yeah, it's three.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
So that means I bet nine other games. Was I
just jumping on stuff at the end?
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Yeah, what you didn't do about it?
Speaker 3 (37:08):
Okay, let's look at the weekend. Georgia whoops Florida forty
three to twenty. Game really wasn't much a one after
the first quarter, half, first part of the first half
situation whatever. Ohio State puts it on Wisconsin twenty four
to ten. Harrison another big game. Florida State whooped on
wake Forest again. Yeah, quick efficient, they scored a bunch
(37:28):
of points. Nothing to see there, Watchington Stanford. Didn't watch
any of anybody watch any of this, nobe, No I
see a single thing. I watched some highlights of Penix
throwing all the touchdowns. Oklahoma got beat by Kansas thirty
eight thirty three. Kansas converted on a fourth down and
that was it.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Crazy. I thought Oklahoma had that game because right then.
Speaker 4 (37:47):
I only thought they had it because they were playing Kansas.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
Honestly, you're just waiting for them to lose.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Yes, yeah, I could not believe they lost that game.
They usually get bit by somebody like a Kansas state
or an Iowa state. Yeah, I did not expect that
to be the Kansas game. Texas beats b YU. That's
a tough oney. You to do well, because we're gonna
go out there. They cancel on us.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
No, but I haven't you know, no, no, no, we're good,
but you have what say what I haven't heard back
from today?
Speaker 2 (38:16):
I know, I know I'm watching.
Speaker 3 (38:18):
They're not gonna want us to come out to their
school there.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
I did say, hey guys, sorry for the tough loss.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:23):
Oregon beat up on Utah was never a game I
watched it. It was really never a game. Oregon just
ran through them. Bo Nicks had three touchdown total. I
think he hit a running touchdown.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
I think you touch on yeah, because I think you
had two passing one running.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
Penn State beats Indiana and USC beats Cow on a
late comeback. I mean I jumped all over the count
the USC line when they were like USC plus one
USC and I hit that.
Speaker 5 (38:53):
Yeah you did.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
Yeah, those I'm sure you didn't count that one, but
that's the one you watched on TikTok. Yeah, they held
up the screen.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
Are you happy that Cow won for two at the
very end. I don't know if you saw it, but
they went for two to try to win the game.
Speaker 3 (39:05):
Yeah, I am happy, because you're supposed to do that
against you sc Yeah, your Cow.
Speaker 4 (39:08):
You try to win the game.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
You don't try to go to overtime against teams better
than you. That team is better than cal Sure, so
you have a shot, a fifty to fifty shot, take
it because that team's better than you, and you get
fifty to fifty to win it every time.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Yep, all right, well there's there's that. I just think
I didn't lose that much. You guys can hear.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
At the end of this, we're talking denial. Yeah, no
safe harbor for Jim Harbor, if for Leeds Michigan. Yeah right,
it's gonna be totally save Harbor. But this story, they're saying,
sources of the NFL are unwilling to provide a safe
space for Harball.
Speaker 4 (39:42):
No, he'll go coach a team.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
Sources in the NFL all the teams are run with
their own owners, and you go to the NFL. There
have been many coaches who teams have had to deal
with the repercussions of what they've done when they go
to the NFL. What are they going to do? What
do you think is gonna happen? He goes the NFL
and heed nothing?
Speaker 1 (40:02):
Yeah, you think an owner is gonna be like, yeah,
we're gonna listen to you guys.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
Yeah, owners are gonna do nothing. If you want Horball,
they're gonna pay Harball a bunch of money. Yeah, flavor
flav saying the national anthem of the Bucks game?
Speaker 2 (40:13):
Was it bad?
Speaker 4 (40:13):
Did you watch it? Before I say anything?
Speaker 3 (40:15):
Did you? I watched it, not live, but I watched
him sing the whole thing. Oh yeah, he is not
a good singer. However, I think he tried really hard
and I liked it. He took it seriously. I'll play.
(40:36):
Let mean, I won't play all of it. We have
a clip, yes, but I do. It wasn't good, but
he wasn't doing not good on purpose. Okay, it looked
like he practiced and was trying as hard as he
possibly could. That's all we want. Yeah, we don't need
everybody to sound like Adele. I mean, I've never thought
Flavor Flavor could sing well, because you're especially not gonna
think that now.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
All right, here you go from the starter a little
bit towards the end.
Speaker 4 (40:57):
Go from the start, Oh say, can you see.
Speaker 10 (41:08):
Bye the dimeerly line, whatso predely We hate.
Speaker 9 (41:28):
At the twice.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Lights last clean Me.
Speaker 6 (41:36):
Polled bro Strive.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
And Bride Star.
Speaker 6 (41:45):
Through the pace.
Speaker 9 (41:50):
List five.
Speaker 6 (41:54):
For the race, but we wrest Gasland.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
Lee Stream.
Speaker 6 (42:12):
And rougets Breadland.
Speaker 9 (42:20):
The Barber staking game proof to the night.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
That off Flash was still day. Oh say.
Speaker 9 (42:48):
Does bad Star spacegle Badan with.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
All the lamb, the frame.
Speaker 6 (43:16):
And the oh.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
Oh oh the bread.
Speaker 4 (43:37):
So I played the whole thing. Okay, you root for him.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
You can tell he's trying as hard as he possibly can.
He actually hit some notes too, But okay, but he doesn't,
like you said, like, it doesn't sound like he can sing.
Kind of No, he sounds like you and me singing.
Speaker 4 (43:52):
Correct.
Speaker 2 (43:53):
So, knowing that you and me singing, we know what
we can do, would you try to do who we wouldn't?
Speaker 3 (44:02):
I bet he practiced a lot, and I bet he
was probably doing pretty good practice and got a little tight,
got a little I liked it. It did seem like
he was running out of breath a lot, so it
was like bleeding ups Murphy on The Simpsons when he
did it.
Speaker 4 (44:13):
It took like eighty four hours to play the sac
that the that was the joke.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
It's like, oh, who see and then the end, Yeah,
crowd cheers, Oh god, he's not done.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
Yeah he's got more. On some studio.
Speaker 3 (44:26):
Sometimes when someone's playing a song and they like do
a quick like mute, we start clapping, and they're not done.
Speaker 1 (44:31):
They like go back into the song. Would you guys
sing it if you had a chance, Eddie has Yeah,
I'd say.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
It, okay, totally. But that's my point. I know my cat,
I know not to try to go. I would just
do what I know I could do. I loved it.
Speaker 3 (44:45):
That's a guy trying as hard as he could un
till he respected it wasn't the best.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
Who cares?
Speaker 2 (44:49):
And I'm just listening to it. I didn't see it.
I don't know his body language.
Speaker 4 (44:52):
No, he's trying hard.
Speaker 3 (44:53):
Okay, okay, Hey, there are times he hits notes. Yeah,
oh yeah, when he that high that that key change
at the end.
Speaker 4 (44:58):
Ooh, said, as uspin go bit.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
It's like god, he.
Speaker 4 (45:03):
Kind of got there.
Speaker 2 (45:04):
Well, Reid was looking at me like, oh here we go.
This is the high part and he got it. So
good for him.
Speaker 4 (45:08):
I'm with it.
Speaker 3 (45:09):
Colorado players have jewelry stolen from their locker room at UCLA.
At least five Colorada Buffalo Footall playersd jwelry and another
valuable stolen out of the locker room at the Rose
Bowl on Saturday night. The heist happened sometime during the
win twenty eight sixteen UCLA Oversee You. According to Sports Illustrated,
at least five players were victimized by a heist that
targeted at least three diamond and gold chains worth thousands
of dollars. But this happened at twenty twenty one at
Jackson State. That's when they broke into to coch Deon Sanders' office.
Speaker 2 (45:33):
Oh so it's pappened twice at Dion's.
Speaker 3 (45:35):
This was the actual locker room before it was his room.
But yeah, during that's what happened. I mean, you can't
trust visiting locker rooms like you're there's nothing safe in there. Yeah,
that's very it feels like an inside job. Yeah, you
don't get in there unless you know how you're in there.
Speaker 1 (45:49):
I agree to LA.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
It is LA, man, you don't do that in LA.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
Probably seen guys that did Van Jefferson last week, right
the Charger or uh oh yeah, the Chargers receiver rams.
Speaker 4 (46:00):
Okay, let's do this.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
NFL games, Dolphins beat the Patriots thirty one seventeen.
Speaker 4 (46:04):
How'd you feel about that?
Speaker 1 (46:06):
It was cool for like a quarter. Yeah, and then
I was like, yeah, they're just better.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
Yeah, they were just better. I felt the same way. Yeah,
I didn't feel like the Patriots were terrible.
Speaker 1 (46:13):
Max had a really bad interception Jayalen Ramsey though, really
really bad.
Speaker 4 (46:17):
At one point, I turned the Cowboys game on it
was thirty three to three.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
And turned it right off. He went back to that.
Speaker 4 (46:22):
I didn't need to watch that game anymore. I was
watched it. I did to flip it over something else.
Speaker 3 (46:24):
Yeah, it was awesome. Cowboys went forty three to twenty
dak with three hundred yards ceedee lambe hundred and.
Speaker 4 (46:29):
Fifty plus you.
Speaker 2 (46:30):
I said he didn't have hands, so sad.
Speaker 3 (46:33):
He doesn't have the best hands in the I didn't say.
Speaker 4 (46:34):
He can't go back and watch this game. He's got hands.
I think he can catch Eddie.
Speaker 3 (46:39):
I just say he's when it comes to the great
receivers that are known for their hands, it's not him.
Speaker 4 (46:42):
He drops easy ball sometimes.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
Dude, I think we have Like we scored twenty was
it twenty one? Maybe fourteen six seventeen points in three minutes?
Two minutes.
Speaker 4 (46:53):
I know it's thirty three to three in the first half.
Speaker 3 (46:55):
It's amazing, like second quarter and I was like, well,
all right, maybe Vikings beat the pass. The big story
there is the torn Achilles and Kirk Cousins. I mean,
this guy man maybe playing as good as he ever
has getting the recognition finally that sucks.
Speaker 4 (47:12):
Sucks. Titans beat the Falcons.
Speaker 2 (47:15):
You like the uniforms?
Speaker 3 (47:16):
I did lit Levis looked awesome now as a quarterback
in that uniform as the oiler, Yeah, he's like ripped, dude, Like, do.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
You have a problem with the Titans wearing it because
Houston Oilers throwback?
Speaker 4 (47:28):
No, because they were that team.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
That's the same team.
Speaker 4 (47:30):
They moved that team here.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
I'm just wondering.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
I even thought, maybe, like, man, we should just keep
those jerseys and just change our names to the.
Speaker 4 (47:39):
Tennessee oil They were that for a bit when they
played in Memphis.
Speaker 2 (47:42):
It's so cool.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
I think the first year they played at Memphis because
they didn't have a stadium here. You can check that,
but I'm pretty sure that's true. Will Levis four touchdowns.
He didn't throw for three hundred, but he didn't need
to and they were playing a bad team. It's a
great introductory game for Will Levis.
Speaker 4 (47:56):
They gotta win. Gotta love that.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
If Derrick Henry's not leaving, because I don't think people
want to give the Titans what they want to have
him go. I think they'd love somebody to offer him
a great package. I don't think Derek can who's gonna
leave you? Maybe they can win a few games. And
if they do trade Tannehill right now, yes, if Levis
is your guy, and it may be too early to
say that, who knows, but Tannel's gonna be gone anyway.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
Yeah, Like, what's the point?
Speaker 4 (48:17):
Yeah Tredon now?
Speaker 2 (48:18):
Yeah, you're right.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
Ninety seven played in Memphis, Tennessee Oilers. Cool, respect, respect,
you know what.
Speaker 3 (48:23):
So Saints went thirty eight twenty seven Saints, your boy,
Let's go Super Bowl champ Jets and Giants in the
most boring game I've ever seen him a whole life.
All they were doing punt it back and forth. It's
like over twenty punts and then it got to over.
It was a zerrable Even the kick that he made
the fill go on was like a bad snap and
the holder had to pick it up off the ground.
Speaker 4 (48:41):
Is a terrible game. But you know what, if the
Jets just stay alive, it's gonna create the greatest drama ever.
Speaker 1 (48:47):
More video Rodgers is on the field, He's coming back.
Speaker 4 (48:51):
That'd be awesome.
Speaker 3 (48:52):
Jags went again. Jaguars won their fit straight. The weather
was terrible. I bet the over like an idiot, and
then I thought, well, for sure, I'll bet the over
again because it got down like thirty one. The over
was like thirty one and it was twenty to ten.
I lost twice on the over.
Speaker 2 (49:07):
Was that the foggy camera game?
Speaker 3 (49:09):
Yeah, it was a bad game. Eagles and Commanders. Eagles
were down, Eagles came on late. The Eagles came on
from down to tie up or take the lead, and
then the Commanders fought back again, took the lead and
then the Eagle but again the Commanders scored thirty one
against the Eagles. D I mean, that's not a moral victory,
no such thing. But if I'm the Commanders, that's.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
A moral victory. That's pretty tight.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
And they could have won that game.
Speaker 4 (49:32):
They definitely could have won the game.
Speaker 2 (49:33):
That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (49:33):
They just played them three weeks ago. Two Panthers get
their first freaking win. Let's go yes and again, coach,
he's won five in a row after a bye, dude.
Panthers fifteen thirteen over the Texans.
Speaker 4 (49:46):
Gotta love that.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
Seahawks win over the Browns late game, late late touchdown there.
Broncos beat the Chiefs, which is crazy. They played all
the Taylor Swift music whenever Kelsey's walking out the field.
Hilarious love, although he's got to be like, you're trolling me.
It's something I like, that's weird. Yeah, like not like,
what's the point? Yeah, yeah we lost, but also yeah,
that's my girlfriend. So also won. The Ravens beat the Cardinals,
(50:10):
you know, and they were the game thirty one twenty four.
I thought the Ravens really outplayed the Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (50:16):
Can the Ravens on the Super Bowl? The answer is yes, sure,
I have a future on them.
Speaker 2 (50:21):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (50:23):
Bengals beat the forty nine Ers party pretty at two picks. Uh,
and then the Chargers.
Speaker 3 (50:28):
Whooped up on the Bears. I did think the Bears
will play a little closer than I did too.
Speaker 2 (50:32):
I did.
Speaker 4 (50:33):
All right, that's it, Mikey hit me with that horn.
Speaker 3 (50:35):
You got it.
Speaker 2 (50:37):
We're out.
Speaker 4 (50:38):
I'm starving.
Speaker 3 (50:40):
What do we have?
Speaker 4 (50:41):
Like twenty minutes?
Speaker 2 (50:42):
I got a therapy?
Speaker 3 (50:43):
Now, I got a one thirty appointment therapy? Soh A
couple's therapists and quick, today's just me? Oh I go
do I do both?
Speaker 2 (50:51):
Okay, work on yourself a little bit, then a couple
I do not the same day, alternate weeks, No, both
in a week. Oh dang, that's a lot right now.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
Yeah, I love, it's good.
Speaker 4 (51:03):
Why are you talking to that tone?
Speaker 6 (51:05):
Like?
Speaker 7 (51:05):
What?
Speaker 1 (51:05):
What telling a high pitch?
Speaker 2 (51:07):
What do you mean?
Speaker 3 (51:07):
Man?
Speaker 2 (51:08):
Dude? Is great?
Speaker 3 (51:09):
You do.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
There's a lot of therapy.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
You're a weirdo. Why do you say that. We went
to North Carolina this past weekend.
Speaker 4 (51:18):
That was great, It is awesome. We played golf at
Wade Hampton.
Speaker 1 (51:23):
I don't know if that is, but it sounds fancy.
It is sounding like a big I.
Speaker 3 (51:26):
Didn't know what it was either until I didn't either
until we went and then we looked it up and
we started to see. We went with Andy Roddick, was
one of my really good friends. I definitely know who
that is, and so we stayed at his house and
it was the most plush, greenest, softest golf course I've
ever really to that point, it's the softest greenest golf
(51:47):
course I've ever been on. Like you would swing hit
a ball and the divid it would be two foot
before and fly in the air.
Speaker 4 (51:53):
It was awesome. There are preferences like ocean.
Speaker 3 (51:58):
We've played Spyglass, Monore Peninsula, which was awesome. This is
right in the middle of the mountains, which is a
different kind of awesome.
Speaker 5 (52:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:04):
The picture that you posted, oh, I know that was
not on the golf course, but that was cool.
Speaker 2 (52:08):
That was the lake.
Speaker 4 (52:09):
Yeah, but yeah, oh that was yeah Andy's house.
Speaker 2 (52:11):
I mean the it was. It's the most beautiful golf
course I've ever played. And like you know, Spyglass, all
that pebble those pebble beach ones are gorgeous, amazing. But this,
like like Bones is saying, it was like playing on carpet.
Speaker 1 (52:24):
That's great.
Speaker 3 (52:25):
It looked fake. So every hole there was a beautiful
scenery yeah, we got beat twice, but whatever, screw it.
Didn't play my best golf.
Speaker 5 (52:34):
We did.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
We get beat three days of golf. Dude's pretty amazing.
Speaker 4 (52:38):
It's awesome.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
And then it's like you want to go a different course.
We're like, now we're good, we'll just stay here. Yeah,
because you know you just learned the course more too.
Speaker 2 (52:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (52:45):
This week I'm gonna go play Monterey Peninsula. I'm taking
read so nice, Monoe Peninsula and a couple of other
places up there.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
You're playing pebble.
Speaker 3 (52:56):
No, they're having some kind of resort thing, like they've
bought the whole thing out. Somebody bought the whole thing out,
Dan Rich people. But we're playing two of those other
courses that are out there.
Speaker 8 (53:07):
Is it a del Monte or del Monte.
Speaker 3 (53:09):
One of the Yeah, that's Saturday, and then we're playing
the Yeah Preserve on Saturday. Who I need to get
some long sleeve golf stuff. It's supposed to be like,
are you are you meany to say this out loud
or are you just yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (53:24):
Making sure?
Speaker 3 (53:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (53:25):
Yeah, it's given me a little chilli out there.
Speaker 3 (53:27):
I didn't know if he thought he was just thinking
this read you can't wear jeans, dude, Yeah, yeah, all right,
to good pants.
Speaker 4 (53:32):
All right, I'll see you guys later on in the week.
All right, buyverybody.
Speaker 3 (53:38):
Lo Oh, I got, I got, It's for the Cowboys.
But if I won twenty five hundred and then I
wanted the seven fifty and I only came ahead one
thousand dollars, yeah, that must have meant those other ones
all thirty five losers.
Speaker 4 (54:00):
Let's see exactly.
Speaker 2 (54:02):
Sam Houston plays Kannesas State this week.
Speaker 4 (54:04):
What's the line?
Speaker 2 (54:05):
Hey, man, Hey, they can't lose any more, like they're
oh and what oh and eight.
Speaker 3 (54:10):
I just I feel like I'm not as gotta win.
I just something about my math feels like I'm not
three grand down.
Speaker 1 (54:16):
It was so seven forty one loss, thousand lost, twenty
five hundred and one, seven fifty one, two fifty loss,
one fifty one, two hundred and one fifty loss seventy
five one hundred one, one fifty one hundred. So outside
the Georgia Games, you won three bets, but they were
only for oh, one hundred bucks fifty.
Speaker 3 (54:39):
Take take out the Georgia Games, okay, and take out
the Sam Houston State game. So let's if we're there.
That puts it still at about a two thousand dollars win, Georgia.
I know it's gonna come back to the same thing, guys.
Just okay, if you're trying, I respect that. I'm trying
to find a creative way. I did put five thousand
dollars back in my account tho, which I thought was
pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (54:59):
I love when I can do that.
Speaker 1 (55:00):
So bet a thousands from your winnings.
Speaker 2 (55:01):
Yeah, oh that's always good. Yes, yes, I haven't done
that in a long time.
Speaker 3 (55:08):
What you doing over there? Seeing number is a little different.
Speaker 1 (55:12):
One one of that a little less three hundred bucks
thousand and seventy five. Yeah, hold on, I'm not a
big numbers guys, but it looks like do it on
the fly. Looks like times are right.
Speaker 2 (55:24):
Change your fucking calculator, I got it like your phone.
Speaker 1 (55:28):
Okay, So you bet one thousand and seventy five and
you won eight fifty three.
Speaker 3 (55:33):
So if I had won, so yeah, let's go. I
like how this is looking boys?
Speaker 1 (55:42):
Two twenty two?
Speaker 3 (55:44):
You lost, right, I lost too, But how much was
I up in the other money that we took off there.
Speaker 1 (55:50):
That was combined?
Speaker 3 (55:52):
Yeah, because I had twenty five hundred times like forty
eight hundred.
Speaker 1 (56:01):
Yeah's seven fifty, got you fourteen hundred s's six thousand,
two hundred and seventeen.
Speaker 3 (56:06):
Right, minus one thousand for the other. That's five thousand, thousand.
Oh boys, I think I'm in the money. I think
my dad a guy, he.
Speaker 2 (56:22):
Did say his numbers aren't his strength.
Speaker 1 (56:24):
So five thousand, Mike, how do you feel about this?
Cooking the books? What was my What did I text you?
You texted me one forty two?
Speaker 3 (56:35):
Did I total wagered six thousand and sixty six dollars?
Speaker 2 (56:40):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (56:41):
I have total winnings seven thousand and seventy dollars.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
Yeah, so I've got between the Georgia game six two
hundred and seventeen in winnings plus eight fifty three. That
would be seven thousand, seventy.
Speaker 4 (57:00):
That's winnings.
Speaker 2 (57:01):
Wait what yeah?
Speaker 1 (57:04):
The sixty two? Are you talking about the winnings of
the wage?
Speaker 4 (57:07):
We're gonna put all this at very end of the podcast.
Speaker 2 (57:08):
We got to cut this up.
Speaker 4 (57:09):
How much did I wager for the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (57:13):
Including Georgia, all of it? Six thousand and sixty six?
Speaker 4 (57:16):
Are you sure?
Speaker 3 (57:18):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (57:19):
Let's see, I'll do it again.
Speaker 3 (57:22):
On here.
Speaker 4 (57:25):
Do you need my phone again?
Speaker 3 (57:29):
Yeah, six thousand and sixty six, and I won seven hundred,
seven thousand and seven seventy.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (57:34):
It feels a little under to me. What I tell
you earlier, It is what it is. Man, feels a
little under to me.
Speaker 2 (57:42):
It is what it is.
Speaker 4 (57:43):
If I bet okay whatever, I don't feel good about this,
I'm out of here.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
Man.
Speaker 4 (57:52):
I slammed the microphone.
Speaker 2 (57:53):
You pissed them off. Covin
