It's the start of the final Parks Casino postgame show
of the seventy six Ers twenty twenty four twenty five season.
As today a Sunday Mattine with the Chicago Bulls in
Philadelphia was the eighty second and final game of the
season for the Sixers this season, and they fall to
the Bulls one twenty two, one oh two. I'm Matt Murphy.

(02:22):
I'll be joined by Tom McGinnis. We'll hope to hear
from Sixers coach Nick Nurse, who is also supposed to
meet with the media alongside Darryl Moury later on, So
we'll just keep an eye on the coach's postgame press
conference after game eighty two, which was led in scoring

(02:44):
by Lonnie Walker, the fourth the Redding native with a
career high tying thirty one points points this afternoon for
the Sixers. He made a career high eight three pointers
out of fifteen sixteen points in the first half, fifteen
in the second half. The Sixers led at halftime fifty
six forty nine. Walker ties that career high, which came

(03:07):
with the Spurs back in twenty twenty one. He shot
eleven of twenty three overall, came up one three pointer
shy of tying the franchise record for threes in a game,
which is nine. It is Dana Barrows, Danny Green, and
Tyrese Maxi. Kevin Herder was the leading scorer for the

(03:29):
Bulls with eighteen points, but four out of their five
starters didn't play in the second half buzzelliz Vucevich, Kobe White, Herder,
who had three threes in the first quarter five in
the half. It was only Julian Phillips that saw any
time in the second half, and their bench picked it
up from there. They outscore the Sixers seventy three forty
six in the second half. Tom McGuinness and the takeaways

(03:52):
start with Lonnie Walker. What a game for him and
nice round number to end on with twenty games played
for his hometown seventy six Ers. How about his effort.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yeah, and he just showed you they could fill it
up from three. Bit of a streaky score, I would
think to be fair right, and tonight he got off
to a good start, then he went a little cold,
and then he finished with eight threes. That's a pretty
good game. No, matter when or what the circumstances, thirty
one points, and Herder matched him in the early going

(04:23):
for them. He had five threes in the first half,
so good shooting by Walker. He had a great dunk
and ended up with a big, big number thirty one
points in total.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
The Sixers end the season twenty four and fifty eight,
the Bulls thirty nine and forty three, and they split
the four game season series two to two, with both
teams winning the pair of games on the road in
this series. To your point about Walkers scoring a couple
of years back in the playoffs, Lebron shouted him out
when he was with the Lakers, had a big playoff
game of fifteen points in the fourth quarter, so we

(04:52):
know he can score in bunches. What else from this game,
I mean the rebound fifty nine forty eight Chicago, I mean,
everything kind of favors them, and even with their second
unit in there, maybe that gave them some extra legs
in the second half, some fresher legs for sure.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
And that's the kind of thing where coach Billy Donovan
would tell all those guys like Buzzellis and Vouch, Kobe
White and Herder guys, you're only going to play the
first half and to the second group and then you
guys are going to play the second half. So they
would have been really fired up for that, but in
all sincerity, this game was academic. He kind of want
to get through it without anyone getting hurt and to

(05:32):
kind of finish it on the most positive as possible
kind of notes, because it's you know, again like we've
said that all told a difficult year for the Sixers
with the injuries, the twenty four wins and what fifty
nine losses?

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Is that what it ends? Fifty eight losses? Fifty eight losses.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
Yeah, so yeah, it's just one of those that it's
going to be a long off season for the Sixers
and you know healing like with Joelle just having surgery
just a few days ago, and you know, everybody trying
to get kind of healed up and moving on. And
like I said, I think the Sixers are gonna provided

(06:12):
that Joel's gets healthy and as one hundred percent, they're
gonna have a huge chip on their shoulder based on
how things didn't work out this year, and that may
be to their advantage in terms of, you know, a
sense of a lot to prove. Motivation is a big thing.
And obviously, you know, as coach said, you don't you
don't get you're not granted an infinite number of turn

(06:35):
of seasons, and this one went by the wayside as
they couldn't get healthy. But like I said, they'll be
hopefully rare to go for next year.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
With that longer off season. One key event, which is
about a month away, will be the NBAH Half Lottery,
which is in Chicago on Monday, May twelfth. The Sixers
have the fifth best lottery odds in the NBA. There
are a number of season takeaways we can start to
get into as we await coach Nurse.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Real quick with the lottery odds. I don't know that
that's been around forever. It's been around for twenty five
thirty years, something like that. The balls, right, but the
Sixers would always play when that was going on. Oftentimes
was done during the playoffs. It's going to be done
during a playoff game, right May, So the Sixers would
have a game and it would be at halftime. I

(07:24):
paid that absolutely no mind. Seriously, there wasn't things weren't
covered on appslutely wall.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
That's a big event well way bigger.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
A few years ago, it was like a huge thing
right back in the say.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Say who's going to be the team's representative across the right.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
Right, who's bringing the rabbits foot?

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Or who's in the room where it happened in the back?
Have have you ever gone to it? No? No, no,
Like they don't let many people. I think think there
are a select number of press that can actually watch
the process take place in order to ensure fairness and
all that. So it's a pretty serious deal.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
I haven't gone on with Price Waterhouse.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
And then you see the celebration from whichever representative is.

Speaker 4 (08:04):
No, it's a huge deal, like it really, you know,
like and the fact that it's been I don't want
to say tinkered with, but like the odds have changed.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
They've kind of flattened the time. Yeah, they don't. They
didn't want it to.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Be obviously the worst record having the best chance of
the number one pick.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
And then again, wasn't it just last year where the
Hawks went from fifth to first and got the rights
or they ended up drafting recess shit.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
And all of a sudden, Korver and Landry Fields in
their front offers, like, oh we got some extra scouting
to do. They're like on the plane looking and then
they end up with Reza Shae from France. But yes,
there have been jumps. It's as of now, we know
it's a sixty four percent chance of the Sixers keeping
that pick, which will go to Oklahoma City. Otherwise at the.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
Top six pick to one of our players.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Here, let's let's hear who we've got, because before coach
is going to be seventy six Ers players and will
jump in.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
The youngsters. Puts it out to you like about the
youngsters this year being able to get the reps in
minutes before what was the first part set out just
you know, it's they had an opportunity to play basketball, right.
A guy like Bona got an opportunity to be out
there and you know, get some good reps, get some
game minutes, get some good time out there. A guy

(09:20):
like Justin Edwards getting a chance to go out there
show you know why he you know, was the number
one player in high school and get on the floor
and get some NBA minutes and and that type of
those type of things. The young guys, you know, how
you get better in this league is repetition and experience,
and you know, unfortunately it came you know as a
losing season, but these guys got a chance to be

(09:41):
on the floor getting real NBA minutes against NBA competition
and NBA coaching. So you know, you just continue to
you know, you look at these guys and say, all right,
like you know, now going to the summer and use
that and use it to get better.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
Whatever.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
The next steps for you is you approach the off
season is to get right and.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah just from yeah, you know, just for me, it's
just continue to you know, keep the bond and the
body as sharp as possible. I think, you know, being
a part of the season showed you I want to
at least go out winning. And you know today was like,
you know, we know we was going not making the
playoffs and this and that, but I think I walked
in the building today it was kind of a little
bit sad because you know.

Speaker 5 (10:20):
We all thought that we would be a little bit.

Speaker 1 (10:24):
Playing a little bit longer, and we thought we had
a good team and on paper like but you still
got to put it down on the floor. So for me,
it's just about, you know, I do want to play
one more year and at at a level where I
can compete and play and help a team. You know,
even if I'm not playing, I'm just here, or if
I am playing, but I still want to play one
more year. And you know, hopefully it's here.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
And this is Kyle Lowry that we're hearing from right now.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
I hope that wouldn't thought he.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
Would to start.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
I think injuries was a big, big part of it
to him. And I know, as you want beyond the injuries.
I think we never can have no consistency because of
the injuries. And you know, we had to change, you know,
schemes offensively and defensively, and Nick had to adjust a lot,
and you know it was a tough job for him
having to adjust not knowing who's in who's out, and
injuries and hurting, you know, all that stuff, and you

(11:16):
know we we unfortunately lost on the league MVP really
and not having him, you know, it's just you know,
your team is always going to be, you know, trying
to figure it out around him, So you know, we
want him to be. If he was here and healthy,
we'd be in a different situation. Paul having his knee,
you know, having his injuries and just Jared McCain started
off for the great season and injuries and it's just

(11:38):
been a lot of that inconsistency. I just kind of say,
tough when you don't have, you know, the guys on
the floor, and coach did the best he could, you know,
trying to figure out game plans, and you said you
hope it.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Was here the last time last year. What is it
about the roster?

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Obviously your relationship with Tinic, Like.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Just what are some of the factors that makes.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
You hope that I just you know, I have a
great relationship with you with coach of course, and you know,
I think the pride of being a Philadelphia and playing
for Philadelphia is also like you want to figure out
how to be a part of something different and special.
And you know, I think you guys all know how
I feel about Tyrese Maxey and he's the reason like that,

(12:19):
it's just been a blessing to be a part of
this because he's such a phenomenal kid and and uh
uh in the phenomenal talent. So but this organization, you know,
deserves to be at the top of the top and
and this city deserves it. So you know, I want
to be a part of that. Hopefully I can. I
A lot of guys are cited in your influence and

(12:40):
helping them.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
As some of these young guys say about minutes. Do
you get any satisfaction from that of being able to help.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Some of these guys even when you're not playing and maybe.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
Still hold Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
The only thing is they call me ancient, So it's
the only problem I had with it. But just what
I'm here for. Man, You know, as a competitor, of
course I want to be on the floor and planning competing,
But as a as an elder statesman in this league,
you know, you get an enjoyment out of watching these
kids grow because I was once in their shoes, and
I've been through the things that they've been through, you know,

(13:10):
sometimes playing, sometimes not playing, sometimes getting big minutes and
having great shooting games, then having terrible shooting games, and
then just figuring out a way to ride the wave
and stay consistent. Is you know what I get out
of the that is trying to help them be consistent.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
How difficult is.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
A challenge when we almost really have a lot of it.
There were not a lot of minutes together with the
core group.

Speaker 5 (13:31):
How big a challenge is that going into the next season.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
It's a challenge. You know, the better teams are you know,
they are always the same teams, you know, you know
when you build that team, you know three four two,
three four years in and this was supposed to be
that first year. You know, they would have been a
great year to have everybody together. Then you know, whatever
it would have happened this year, the next year, you know,
it could be the next step. But like you said,
having everybody is kind of like to restart. But we

(13:58):
do know each other, you know, personality wise, you know
what the abilities that we have on the floor. So
it can be a challenge, but I think it'll be
a fun challenge, especially you know with how hungry guys
are going to come back next year. Right, thanks Scott,
Thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Really Kyle Lowry postgame with his exit interview. The final
game of the season for the Sixers goes to the
Chicago Bulls here in Philadelphia, one twenty two, one oh two.
This is the Parks Casino postgame show. Matt Murphy and
Tom McGuinness here after hearing from Lowry in the spot
that's typically coach nurse, but who knows Kyle Lowry might

(14:36):
be a coach someday, offering some great perspective. Also Tom
saying that he wants to play one more season, which
will be his even twentieth.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
That's part of it. I think Kyle wants to play
twenty years. He's great, I'm serious to have around. He's
been awesome. And again, like I've said, and it's been
proven true over the last year or so, and that
is he's the classic case of can't stand and when
he's on another team and love to have him when
he's on your team, and even when he's not playing,
he's just a he's a really I mean, he's a leader,

(15:08):
and he's he's just awesome to have around.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
He is an unrestricted free agent this summer. Now, as
we begin to wind down. Among the season takeaways, it
was kind of Jared McCain early bursting onto the scene,
Quinton Grimes late after the trade from Dallas, Yambucele, kind
of very consistent all the way through for the most part,
despite missing the last couple of games here and he

(15:34):
played seventy out of the eighty two. A dem Bona
as well, and Justin Edwards. So the rookies to me
stand out, Where does the rookie emergence from McCain to
second round pick Bona to undrafted Philadelphia night of Justin Edwards.
Where does that stick out to you?

Speaker 4 (15:50):
Well, you know, look those guys and you know this,
but like when you consider that right after the draft,
they came to Philadelphia and they prepped, and then they
went to Salt Lake City, then they went to Vegas,
then they came back and they've they've been working literally
for like ten months. And at the beginning, like you know,
I say, we like I don't, people didn't really even

(16:13):
know what Justin could provide. And same thing with the
dem like we saw him a little bit like even
in training camp, and then just all this time later
you're like, you know exactly what you have that you
think right like that's what's neat, you know. And so
those are especially Jared like he you know, he looks
like he's really going to be a good NBA player

(16:34):
for many years to come. Exciting. And I think the
big thing too is how it shapes up. How are
they going to be contributing next year, Like how the
roster looks, what would their roles be even for somebody
like Grimes. First of all, you know, you got to
decide grimes you want him and at what price.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
He's a restricted free agent, so the Sixers could match
another team's offer.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
But just you know, like his role is not gonna
He's not getting thirty five points, you know, in many
of these games. He's going to be a be a
bit more of a role player. So but those are
great options, you know. Lennie Walker the fourth also, I
believe he signed a two year contract, so he's looks
like he will be here. But and how they'll play,
you know, and how they all can they just step

(17:19):
in and be this six, seventh, eighth, ninth, whatever. It
is a consistent group off the bench. But that certainly
was one of the great you know, I don't know
if great's the right word, but one of the things
that evolved out of this.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
And possibly adding one of the top draft picks. There
is a chance that they don't get a top six
selection based on the lottery, but based on having the
fifth best lottery odds, they have a sixty four percent
chance of making a pick within the top six and
a ten and a half percent chance of that being

(17:50):
the number one overall selection. As far as other takeaways
from the year, I think not enough of a sample
size from the Paul, George, Joel, MBI, Tyrese Maxe.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
It was fifteen games for wasn't there a stretch though?

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Early? Even if it wasn't Joelle where like George was,
I think the sixers were like eight and two with them.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
When they started out, all three of them, the record
was very good together. It ended up around five hundred
in the fifteen games. But when they would Paul and
Joel would finish the game and it was like eight
and one or eight and two to start the three
of them playing together.

Speaker 5 (18:28):
Yeah, but they've.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
Had unlucky injury problems. I mean dating back to the
preseason that Paul George thing started in the Iowa game
against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Player ran into his knee. Then he had it happen
again a slight hyper extension for sure. So yeah, like
coach said, like any number of times, it wasn't it was.
It was certainly Joelle and PG not playing, but it
was also like four or five other guys were also
out that made it extremely difficult.

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Maxie ended up playing fifty two games, George forty one,
mb nineteen and Maxi had a career high twenty six
point three points per game, up from twenty slightly from
twenty five point nine in his All Star season last year,
when he was also the league's most improved player and
he played an NBA high thirty seven point seven minutes
per game, just ahead of Josh Harden macal Bridges in

(19:18):
those fifty two games. Well, Tom, congrats on NBA season
thirty in the books for you.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
Murph appreciate it. He did a great job.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Thank you, Tom McGinnis, Thank you so much. We'll do
all the other thank yous later on in our coverage.
We're not done yet. We will go through this game
when we come back from a break because Lonnie Walker
the Fourth almost made franchise history today for the Sixers
against the Bulls here in Philadelphia, and we'll fill you

(19:49):
in on that when we come back with the seventy
six Ers Post Game Show after a one to twenty
two to one oh two lost to Chicago and it's
presented by Parks Casino. Welcome back to the Center and
welcome back to the Parks Casino Postgame Show. The seventy
six Ers Post Game Show presented by Parks Casino. I'm
Matt Murphy. Let's run through this game from start to

(20:11):
finish right now with how it sounded, as called by
Tom McGinnis. The Sixers and the Bulls in game eighty
two of eighty two played in South Philly, the Sixers
in blue uniforms, the Bulls in red. Twelve inactives, including
two of the three two way contract players for the Sixers,
also including gersion Yabusele and Justin Edwards, a handful of

(20:35):
players not playing for Chicago, but most of their usual
group in there ahead of their play in tournament appearance
on Wednesday, but Josh Giddy, who has played well against
the Sixers, he did not play. The Sixers ran a
yarding lineup of Quentin Grimes, who was available again after
not playing on Friday against Atlanta, with Jared Butler, Lonnie Walker,

(20:56):
the fourth, Marcus Bagley, and Adem Bona. In the season finale,
Walker came out and hit a couple of threes right
off the bat for a six to three lead, and
when that wasn't going on, it felt like everything else
was a steal for Marcus Bagley, the Blue Coats call
up on his second ten day contract with the Sixers.

(21:17):
The steal in the.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
Slam, Bona and Bosevich vibe for the rebound in Vooch
pulls it down, but he throws it away. In another
jam by the Sixers, Bagley steals it and scores it.
Marcus Bagley's six to six played at the Arizona State
Sixes go up eight to five.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
In the first quarter and a half, Marcus Bagley had
four steals. He ends the game having played forty three
minutes and twenty seconds. That's after Nick Nurse said he
probably played him too many minutes on Friday, which was
thirty eight or so. But Badley must have wanted to

(21:56):
stay and must have been good to go because his
final line was ten points fifteen rebounds, which is a
career high and the most boards he's gotten at any level,
including his time at Arizona State. And the four steals
plus an assist and a block shot, so another double
double he ends with two in a row ends the season.
Bagley had a bunch of steels early. That was in
an early eight to five game favoring the Sixers Chicago's

(22:20):
Kevin Herder, part of the zach Lavine trade. He made
all three of his first quarter threes.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
Though Patrick Williams with it. He'll rise for three and
that's short, no good. But Julian Phillips gets a rebound
out the herder. He's got spring in his step and
he powers in another three. Herder three for three from beyond,
far and away, the best shooter in the game so far.
He's got eleven on four of five and the Bowls
go up by four.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Twenty three nineteen. It was tied twenty nine to twenty
nine after one Herder only played in the first half.
He led all scorers at the break with eighteen points.
He played sixteen minutes today and went six for eleven
from the field, five to seven from three and split
his two free throws. He made two more threes early
in the second quarter after a dem. Bona had nine

(23:10):
points for the Sixers in the first. A dem kept
it going into the second. One of those patented alley
you plays with Jared Butler.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Bowls by three a Dem Bona, Jared Butler, Rickey colezl
the fourth Grimes and Jalen Huchafino for coach Nick Nurse.
Here's alive that Bona and Bona jams it. He's got
eleven points. Good fee by Butler Our Ticketmaster Assists of
the Game and with that the Sixers climbed to within one.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
Forty one forty Chicago. Both a dem Bona and Jared
Butler had scored twelve points a piece in the first half.
A dem finished with sixteen points, nine rebounds, and two
blocked shots. Butler finished with nineteen points and five assists
in twenty five minutes, twenty five plus minutes as the
Sixers point guard from one point down to all the

(24:00):
way back because they went on a sixteen to six
closing scoring run to the first half. Here's Walker with
another three.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
Lonnie Walker with the rebound Sixers and the Bulls tied
on the glass twenty six each. Boney got away with
a legal screen. Here's Walker with a runner and that's good.
Lonnie Walker with another field goal. He's got sixteen.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
No, not a runner from the three point line. That
one was actually inside the arc. In a fifty four
to forty five game. With the Sixers leading Walker in
his twentieth game as a seventy sixer, he had sixteen
points to lead them at halftime. He averaged eleven point
four coming in and he wasn't done yet. The Sixers
took a fifty six to forty nine lead into the

(24:46):
locker room after winning the second quarter twenty seven twenty
and the Bulls though started the second half on a
twenty three to six scoring run, even with four out
of their five starters not going back out there. That
meant that in the second half, Taylan Horton Tucker ended

(25:08):
up scoring thirteen of his seventeen points in the game.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
After halftime, Horton Tucker steals it, Jared Butler couldn't hold on,
and Horton Tucker wi a layup. Nick Nurse is gonna
take a time out. The Bulls have taken a four
point lead. We played three and a half in the
third Chicago sixty six the Sixers sixty two.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
The Bulls won the third quarter thirty seven to nineteen,
which was similar to Friday when Atlanta out scored Philadelphia
thirty one to nineteen in the third quarter. Here, so
it was an eleven point Bulls lead going into the
fourth eighty six seventy five, and again seventeen points to
lead bull scorers off the bench, one on off of
the team high, which was Herder with eighteen from the

(25:52):
first half at seventeen to four. Horton Tucker, but the
leading scorer in the game was Redding Zone Lonnie Walker
the fourth, and not only was it a game best,
he tied a career high today with thirty one points.
He also set a career high for three pointers attempted
with eighteen and made the most he's ever made in

(26:15):
an NBA game with eight of them. Walker in the.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
Fourth Lonnie six for an incredible athlete two five out
of Redding, PA has it along the baseline one hand
pass to Grimes eleven on the clock Grimes against Carter
type man to man defense by Javon Carter in Elaine
Chala Huchefino back out. The Walker three pointer on the
right side is in a career high seven threes for

(26:40):
Lonnie Walker the fourth.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
He tacked on one more from beyond the arc. He
had a six to three pointer game for the second
time he had won this season about a week ago
in Miami, but it was seven there to set a
new career high. He added one more to come within
one three pointer of the franchise record, which belongs to
Dana Barrows, Danny Green and Tyrese Maxi with nine three

(27:05):
pointers made in a game. His seventh made it a
one Tozho six ninety ball game with Chicago pulling away,
and they ultimately win the game one twenty two to
one to oh two after a second half that saw
them outscore the Sixers seventy three forty six, thirty one

(27:25):
points for Walker, the fourth to tie a career high
set in twenty twenty one with San Antonio eleven of
twenty three from the field, eight to fifteen from three
to one for one at the free throw line, also
had six rebounds with the thirty one points in almost
thirty seven minutes. The season finale won by the Bulls
makes them thirty nine and forty three and the Sixers

(27:47):
twenty four and fifty eight, and the Bulls will play
Miami on Wednesday in Chicago in the play in tournament
because they are the number nine seed, the Heat are
the ten seed. The loser of the seven to eight,
which is Atlanta at Orlando. The loser of that game

(28:12):
will play the winner of Miami and Chicago for the
right to be the eight seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
We'll have our final team totals and a wrap up
on the season after a break. The Bulls win in Philadelphia.
By twenty we'll put a bow on things. After this,

(28:34):
you're listening to the seventy six Ers Postgame Show presented
by Parks Casino. Welcome back to the seventy six Ers
Parks Casino Postgame Show. After the season finale won by
the Bulls in Philadelphia one twenty two to one to two,
Matt Murphy making the stat of the game more of
a stat of the weekend because it was a two

(28:54):
game homestand to end the Sixers twenty twenty four to
twenty five season. Double doubles in both games for Marcus
Bagley while on his second ten day contract with the Sixers.
His first double double was Friday against the Hawks. Today
he gets one against the Bulls with ten points, a

(29:16):
career high fifteen rebounds, and four steals. Friday, it was
twenty points, ten rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots.
Stat of the weekend being that he's the fourth seventy
six Ers rookie to record at least twenty points, ten rebounds,
five assists and two blocks in a game, joining Jerry Stackhouse,

(29:40):
Michael Carter Williams, and Jalil Okafor Marcus Bagley another double
double today, the Sixers shot thirty eight percent from the
field twenty seven from three and they only missed three
free throws for an eighty six percent mark. Chicago was
forty six percent from the field thirty two point five

(30:02):
from three, and they missed five of their twenty free
throws fifteen for twenty seventy five percent. They did out
rebound the Sixers fifty nine forty eight. Earlier this season,
it was the Sixers with a rebounding game against Chicago
in the high fifties. That was December eighth at Chicago

(30:22):
one oh eight, one hundred. They pulled down fifty six rebounds,
and that December eighth game was the first game that
all three of MB, George and Maxi played together. The
Sixers won by eight. They played fifteen games together. The
season series was two to two between the Sixers and
the Bulls, with the road team winning both of their

(30:46):
road games and losing in the team's losing both of
their home games this season, so it's the Bulls getting
the final two games of the series. Assists were twenty
nine twenty in favor of the Bulls in this one.
Lonnie Walker the fourth the leading scorer with a career
high tying thirty one points. Badley the leading rebounder with fifteen.

(31:06):
Taylor Horton Tucker's six assists with his seventeen points for
Chicago were the most assists. Badley with steals at four
and a dem Bona was the only player with multiple
blocked shots in this game. The season finale in the books.
Everybody played again today just like Friday, and a lot

(31:28):
of the games are done. Orlando and Atlanta are set
to meet in the Eastern Conference play in tournament. There
were also league wide a number of players not playing
ahead of the playoffs, but it is the short handed
Hawks with a one to seventeen to one to zho
five home win over the short handed Magic. Among the

(31:49):
inactives Trey Young for the Hawks, Paalo ban Caro for
the Magic. Washington beat Miami, so Miami will enter their
matchup with the Bulls on Wednesday in Chicago after a
one nineteen one point eighteen home loss to the Wizards.
And then just one more to point out before we

(32:11):
head out would be the Western Conference showdown that's just underway,
the Clippers visiting the Golden State Warriors. That's the five
to six game right now, massive matchup for playoffs seating.
The winner is guaranteed a top six automatic playoff spot.
Clippers could finish fourth, fifth, or seventh, Golden State could

(32:32):
finish sixth or seventh, and we know seven, eight, nine,
and ten are the play in teams that have to
play their way into the official playoff bracket versus having
one of those automatic spots. A reminder that the NBA
Draft line is Monday, May twelfth. The Sixers finished the

(32:53):
season with a twenty four and fifty eight record. The
Bulls head into the play in with that thirty nine
and forty three mark. Again, the final score Philadelphia one
o two to Chicago's one twenty two. So flip that
Bulls one twenty two, six Ers one O two. I
want to thank everybody for listening to the seventy six
Ers postgame show presented by Parks Casino today and all

(33:16):
season long, and offer a few additional thank yous here
a special thanks to seventy six Ers content intern Deveave
Villanueva on stat's duty, a lot of the season, the
pride of Ruckers Camden, thanks to our engineers Marty Dickerson
and Betsy Deming and all of our producers today Matt
Manark and Sean Rodman throughout the season as well, Tom Alvard,

(33:40):
Carl Namoli, Brendan Gunn, Austin Jones, Haley Taylor Simon, Brendan Petrilli,
and Mike Morano, and of course Tom McGinnis on the
call in his thirtieth NBA season. Coming up later on
on ninety seven five The Fanatic, our flagship station, Sunday
Night Baseball Cubs at Dodgers, with coverage at that beginning

(34:02):
at six Eastern. But it's Ray Dunn coming up before then,
so stick around. I'm Matt Murphy saying so long from
the center. Thanks so much for listening to our Sixers
coverage all season long. Have a great rest of your
weekend and take care
